Tuna, i don't know HOW you picked this song but it's literally one of the most heart wrenching things on dbhc Tango's playlist so. congratulations. i think <3 I think I said ages ago in some tags that Tango was about to get the dbhc Etho Angst treatment, and i got very quickly distracted/consumed by Destruction and Doc/Xisuma related Angst, but boy oh boy am i glad i get to finally hit on a little bit of this poor man's trauma LDFKJGDFG

I'l try to keep this brief but. I'm insane enough about the hermitcraft season 8 finale as is, and even more than that i'm crazy enough about Tango's hermitcraft season 8 finale, and then on top of all that, you're telling me a jaded, bitter android whose characterizing moments of anger and failure are carried on his sleeve is the same android who tried to be the hero and save his friends, only to let an oversight be the reason he not only fails, but destroys his body in the process???? ?? ? The base version of this song is just as good, but something about the piano version gets the vibes just right for these scenes... Something about the waltz-style cheeriness of the vocals contrasting to how horrific the lyrics and situation actually are. Idk man i'm fine don't look at me

i havent posted in a thousand years but ive been so annoyed recently bc i feel like i keep seeing things in fandom about trans hcs where people will just complain about any and all trans hcs bc “but its literally not canon?” “theres no proof/evidence of this??” “why do u hc this character as trans it doesnt make any sense?”

who cares? idk when we got to the point where hcs have to make sense at all lmao. most of my trans hcs will have come from something about the character within canon, but i make trans hcs simply for fun as well. i obviously have no problem when people do either one, and i have no idea why people even care.

& on top of that, when people do begrudgingly accept a trans hc, they have such strict guidelines on how your trans character must look/act & what theyre allowed to do. why do we always forget not every trans person will look the same? or feel the same way about themselves or their body? youre genuinely not allowed to do anything in fandom anymore lmfao and especially not with trans hcs its so fucking frustrating omfg

Keith thinks its dumb. Lance doesn’t care. Kosmo is already responding to the name. The rest of the team call the space wolf Kosmo. Keith is seething.)

(When they get to earth, Lance snatches Keith’s garrison paperwork and jots down the name ‘Kosmo’ for the wolf so in the eyes of the government, the wolf’s name is Kosmo. Keith threatens to feed Lance to Wolf. Both Lance and Keith know that Kosmo adores Lance. Keith is also annoyed by this.)

(After they get together and move down to Texas, they have to take Kosmo to the vet and Lance insists on doing it. Keith doesn’t understand why until he sees the paperwork on the counter later that day that shows the wolf’s name as Kosmo. Keith is grumpy. Lance uses his new tactic and kisses the scowl off Keith’s face. Keith is less annoyed.)

Yeah, I have a headcanon that he takes pictures. Like he takes pictures of his friends, family, even like in the middle of the day where he's alone in the city, he just takes a picture and analysis the shit out of everyone. That's just how he sees people's faces, although taking pictures is somewhat exhausting and a bit time consuming, he takes what he has.

In my hc, I think Apollo (my name for the ourple SK) tries out playing space soccer professionally but doesn't make it/like it, so he becomes a photojournalist for the Diamond City news team on earth because of his lack of fear of heights (Warioware and RH take place in the same universe/city). His little platform-thingy can get him really close to the action compared to helicopters or on-foot footage, so when a monster is attacking the city, Apollo can get much more interesting shots and angles. Not many other journalists are brave enough to float hundreds of feet in the air without being strapped to something secure so Apollo has that advantage. And when you're from space with black holes, meteorites whizzing by at thousands of miles per hour, radioactivity that will kill humans, and god knows what abominations lie beyond their galaxy, a little height won't really hurt you lmao.

Enter Airboarders, cuz someone has to protect the city from giant monsters and other evils and bad guys of course. There are multiple Airboarder teams that rotate shifts, and the ones you see in-game are Team Zephyr consisting of Cirrus (the leader), Stratus, and Cumulus. The team becomes very familiar with Apollo as they work 2nd shift and they often see him working the camera for the evening news.

Cirrus and Apollo grow closer as the other Airboarders are fairly camera shy, but Cirrus likes the attention and it helps build his credibility as a 'hero' for the city, and Apollo's eager to get to know someone doing a tremendous good for the city. Cirrus admires Apollo's dedication to his work and bettering his craft. Apollo admirers Cirrus' bravery and confidence in leading his team.

and then they become closer and kisssssss or something idk i didn't think too much about the logistics of them becoming a couple. it's almost midnight here so i might elaborate further another day. I feel like they would get a late night snack at a convenience store after work is done and then collapse in bed immediately after coming home cuz they've been on their feet all day, simple domestic stuff like that

There’s something I wanted to make note of since I don’t think most people noticed this.

In one of the cutscenes in Galaxy 1 (the purple coins mission in the gate), Mario finds Rosalina on the starting planet and she says this:

Some people seem to think that she’s referring specifically to the starting planet itself; even the Mariowiki says that she is.

But we know from Rosalina’s storybook that the planet she visits every 100 years is her home planet. And we know because of how the game opens that that planet is the Mushroom Planet.

So what is she talking about then? Well, it isn’t actually visible except for in the very final cutscene obtained by beating Bowser again after collecting every single Power Star, but look!

The Mushroom Planet is actually right next to the starting planet!! When Rosie is talking about visiting “this planet” every 100 years, she’s talking about the one that she and Mario can see from the starting planet: the Mushroom Planet!! It’s really easy to miss this since this final cutscene is the only time the Mushroom Planet is actually clearly visible. Every other time you’re on the starting planet, it’s there but it’s reeeeally dark so you can barely even recognize it.

So basically, the starting planet seems to linger just outside the atmosphere of the Mushroom Planet (perhaps it orbits it like a moon?). That also explains how Mario ends up on the starting planet after being attacked by Kamek in the beginning of the game. It is called the “gateway to the starry skies” because the gate on it connects to the gate on the Comet Observatory no matter where it is in space, “the starry skies”.

Headcanon (or. How I Made Sense of the S2 Finale):

After Izzy's death, Stede underestimated the grief of the crew and tried to act like everything was business as usual.

After an especially insensitive comment, Frenchie chewed out Stede for coming up with such a stupid plan that cost Izzy his life.

Ed tried to come to Stede's defense, but Frenchie finally stood up to Ed and dressed him down entirely, telling him he didn't get a say because of all the abuse he put Izzy through in life.

The crew were so impressed that they unanimously voted for Ed and Stede to leave the ship and Frenchie to become captain

post magic reveal, post magic ban lifted, arthur gets to see merlin in all his glory and somehow falls deeper in love with him than he ever thought possible. merlin who is free and accepted and loved and ecstatic by it all, but there's that thought lingering in the back of his mind that only half of their destiny has been fulfilled. magic has returned to camelot but albion is still fractured in many different kingdoms, many of which are still holding onto the hate that uther spread which is seeping into the very fabric of the earth itself. druids and magic users and even magic creatures are still persecuted all across the realm and yeah camelot opened her arms to them but not everyone trusts it (justifiably).

arthur who is choking on the sheer amount of love he has for merlin and promising himself that he'll tell merlin, he'll confess, even if he feelings aren't reciprocated. merlin will know. merlin who has been chewing on an idea for some time now and is planning on bringing it up to arthur. its night as merlin is dressing arthur for bed and they're both quiet and tense. they break at the same time and end up speaking over one another. arthur allows merlin to go first since his nerves are eating away at him. then merlin speaks of leaving.

arthur feels his nerves rot and decay and fall into a bottomless pit. merlin is rambling about how every magical being in albion is still being targeting by various kingdoms and as the prophesied emrys, magic incarnate, druid king, should he not be doing more to help? he doesn't want to leave arthur's side, but he does want to help his people. he's seen only a fraction of the atrocities committed against them and he wishes to protect them, give them somewhere completely safe, a kingdom of magic so to speak. he promises that he'll only be gone for as long as it takes to establish a kingdom (a year? two? three?) but he promises to write and visit often...as long as arthur gives him permission and allows him to leave his service for the time being.

arthur of course agrees, half unhappy about it but completely understanding. surely, out of everyone, he is the one who can understand the weight of responsibility weighing on merlin's shoulders. he mentions that merlin will need someone with experience wearing the crown to guide him. plus, balance. merlin was always there for arthur, guiding him on how to be a better man, a great king, someone worthy of the praise he constantly spewed. it's only right that arthur gets to return that by helping merlin establish a safe haven and home for his people. and politically, camelot being the first kingdom to recognize merlin's and establish some trade agreement or treaty with them will strengthen merlin's kingdom's status and send a message that camelot stands with magic.

merlin smiles wide and asks what arthur was going to say. the king hesitates before biting his tongue and requesting that merlin bring up the honey cakes that had been prepared earlier that night. two of them. since merlin was no longer in his service, he didn't have to stand by and watch arthur eat - not that he ever did, the idiot loved to steal his food. shamelessly!! he never even tried to hide it. they both sat at the table in his chambers until late in the night, nibbling away at the sweets, chasing it down with wine, and chatting away.

arthur wasn't able to confess, but it did not change his feelings. if anything, merlin's heart and the decision he made only added fuel to the raging inferno of love and devotion within arthur. he knows that merlin will keep in contact and will return to his side one day. he gets through the tough days/nights by rereading merlin's letters and imagining seeing him again in royal garb and donning a crown.

Alright now that I've had more time to chew on new oni stuff, I will briefly share my thoughts on the current new lore additions. I actually rly like most of it even tho it's small stuff, as I in fact really like it when oni gives us small stuff, but I am Not a fan of the meteor mini plot. Im hoping they at least reword one of the logs abt it, as I worry it'll cause more confusion around the current timeline than necessary, and there's already So much confusion around the timeline within the oni community

random ZoeYstery HCs 3 ✧ KPOP demon hunters ✧ Zoey x Mystery

✧ They’re the worst couple ever when it comes to PDA

✧ Once they’re together and he has her by his side almost all the time, Mystery is just. constantly touching her. mostly without even realizing it.

✧ His hand finds hers to link their hands or wrap his fingers around her wrist, he wraps his arm around her shoulders or her waist, he slouches and walks behind her with his chin resting on top of her head

✧ He doesn’t particularily care if it makes walking weird, as long as he’s holding her. She doesn’t seem to mind either.

✧ It feels natural, so he just does it. That was how he was accustomed to living beforehand. He’s still not used to having desires, let alone pushing them down

✧ Mystery would literally carry her everywhere if she would let him.

✧ If she ever mentions her feet hurt, or her legs are tired, or even asks how much longer they had to walk, he’s already crouched down on the ground and silently gesturing for her to get on his back before she even finishes her sentence

✧ He walks extra slow when he’s giving her a piggy back. Sometimes he even purposefully takes a wrong turn so they have to take a longer route

✧ On his back was like being in a car for Zoey. She barely paid attention to the surroundings, resting her chin on his shoulder and talking at him about whatever came to mind

✧ When she does realize it, she doesn’t particularily care. It just makes her squeeze him tighter and hide her face in his shoulder to try and keep her blush in check

✧ If Mystery isn’t carrying Zoey then he’s carrying her purse, her drink, her bag, whatever she has with her.

✧ He really wants to be helpful to her, the way she was always being with him

✧ She feels really guilty in the beginning for making him be her mule, carrying around her and her stuff. But every time she asked if he minded, he shook his head no without any hesitation

✧ She’s finally convinced that it’s fine when she looks over at Mystery’s face one day while on his back and caught him smiling with his teeth. It was the first time she was even seeing them.

✧ From then on she was more than happy to accept his offer or even purposefully complain about walking just so he’d do it even more

✧ If Zoey comes into a room when he’s doing something and has his back to her, she immediately thinks of ways to be a menace

✧ Among Zoey’s arsenal was; coming up and sticking a wet finger in his ear, tiptoe really close and try to scare him (which she keeps trying even though it never works), and breaking into a sprint to throw herself on his back

✧ Sure she could go up and hug him or give him a kiss, but she saved that for when he noticed her.

✧ Mystery could actually always hear her footsteps when she came into the room.

✧ Originally he always turned around, but as soon as he realized that she was attempting to sneak up on him, he started keeping his back to her and pretending he didn’t notice her presence

✧ Every single time she grins at him and smugly says that she ‘got him’

✧ Oh she’s got him alright. Got him wrapped around her finger, whipped, ready to kill or die for her. he was pretty sure she wouldn’t let him do that last one a second time, but he’s still willing and that’s what matters

✧ Yeah, she did in fact still date him even after telling him he was her type and then slitting his throat and sending him back to hell (briefly). Don’t worry about it. He thought it was hot.

✧ He physically cannot stop himself from glaring at anyone who looks at Zoey for too long or gets in her personal space. For the latter, if they weren’t in an excessively public place, he’d still bark

✧ Mystery’s jealousy is much more about being the direct object of Zoey’s attention at a given moment, rather than some sort of fear of her leaving him for someone else or being ‘taken’

✧ He wants her to always be looking at him, paying attention to him, noticing him. The way he always was doing the same with her.

✧ It takes a lot of time for him to understand the way she expresses herself and her emotions, but Zoey is patient and happy to explain it to someone so eager to actually listen

✧ One day it’s like it clicks, when she points in a store window bouncing with excitement at a dessert he knew full well she hated and he loved

✧ He passes the entire night just looking back through their memories together, picking out what had initially seemed like minor moments and finding traces of Zoey’s adoration around every corner

✧ She wakes up to him staring at her intently. She jumps a bit and almost falls out of bed, he manages to hold her tight enough to stop her

✧ He didn’t even wish her good morning, didn’t even give her the time to wake up properly. The first words out of his mouth once he was sure she was conscious enough to be aware of him were “I love you”

✧ She can’t stop herself from burying her face in a pillow and kicking her feet, muffled giggles making her shoulders shake
