Hello, first time actually asking on this blog! (I’ve been scrolling through here for probably an hour by now since deciding to actually check it out finally. You guys are amazing, all the compliments to you.)

What are your thoughts on Chuuya’s relationship with Kouyou?

They obviously have a sort of mentor-mentee relationship, which eventually developes into something closer to colleagues, and I’m interested in how their dynamic has changed because of those “roles” they play in each others lifes.

Other than that, how do you think Kouyou has affected Chuuya over the years (behaviours, views on certain topics, ect.)?

It would be great if you could provide examples from the manga and light novels, because seeing things in canon really just solidifies them in my mind somehow.

Chuuya's relationship with Koyo started as a simple mentor-mentee dynamic, as you said. With Koyo not being that much older than Chuuya, there was less formality expected of Chuuya, although he provided it all the same. Their very first interaction that we see is on the way to a meeting that Koyo is bringing Chuuya along to, in order for him to gain some understanding of diplomacy and dealings within the mafia.

Chuuya has always learnt to deal with his problems using violence, and that is what Mori is trying to fix, by assigning Koyo to teach him the more delicate parts of being in the mafia. This also tells us that Koyo is a trusted figure in Mori's eyes, and that she is likely in charge of many diplomatic interactions within the mafia ad other companies, which is interesting considering her age, as she is only four years older than Chuuya, so during this scene she is 19.

The next time we see Koyo is in Stormbringer. While she only appears briefly, she helps in the attack against Verlaine, specifically saying this to Verlaine;

This line, whilst not clearly about Chuuya, seems to be a reprimand of Verlaine's attitude when it comes to Chuuya. I could go into how Verlaine's relationship with Chuuya and Koyo's relationship with Kyoka are parallels, but this scene boils down to the fact that Koyo has come to Chuuya's defence, and for her it's personal.

Bringing up Verlaine and Chuuya vs Koyo and Kyoka, another parallel I find interesting is that whilst the aforementioned relationships are strenuous and take tolls on all parties, Verlaine's relationship with Kyoka and Koyo's relationship with Chuuya seems to be exactly what the other was trying to achieve. Specifically; Verlaine was attempting to be a good older sibling, to protect Chuuya from what he thought was dangerous to him, but the one who has actually protected Chuuya here isn't Verlaine, but Koyo.

Part I

A tug at the corner of his downward mouth eased the tension in Finn's lips into a pleasant smile the moment she fell in sights. The traces of her magic lingered in the air. The richness of her vibrant power left him slightly winded. Finn paused mid-walk, hiding behind a tree to gaze at her.

She was on her knees with her hands hovering above barren soil with her eyes shut. Her face pulled taut as her lush, tulip-shaped lips moved while reciting the spell in a tongue different from his own. The air fused with a second coat of mystical energy and breathless Finn watched her eyes flutter open. At the same time, herbs sprouted from the earth. The curve near the corner of her mouth amplified her attractive features. Vulcanite black coils sprung around her brightened face when she moved to inspect the magically cultivated herbs. Her long curls tumbled past her shoulders and danced with every movement. Finn noted that she didn't choose to braid her hair again and smiled secretively.

He was reminded of her expression when he brushed a hand through her buoyant curls and likened it to a crown queens and empresses would envy to wear. Taken aback by his comment, she sputtered about the delicacies of women's haircare. However, ever since that day, she didn't hide her curls or bound them as often. Instead, his lover gradually wore her hair with confidence as she strolled through their village to help her mother, Ayana with her healing work.

"Zahrah!" Finn wasn't sure how long he watched from the shades, but he called for her from the thicket. The beating of his heart warmed his body, when Zahrah looked over her shoulder. For a few seconds, she was startled by the sound, her eyes stretched. The moment she realized it was him, her expression shifted. Her full lips arched, her eyes curved up, and her cheeks rose.

Finn was dazed by how the sun's rich tendrils polished her hickory skin leaving a saffron tint. Zahrah swung her pouch around her shoulder, over her waist, and buried the plucked herbs inside. When Finn was an arms length away, she rose to her feet with a bright smile.

"You returned earlier than planned!" Zahrah closed the distance between them and raised her head. She was so close Finn could see himself reflected inside her emerald gaze.

Finn smiled. "The hunt was favorable this time, Líf. "

Zahrah brushed a stray curl back, only for it to bounce back with its usual persistence. Finn watched the way she sucked in her lips, brought her brows together, and commented in a frail voice, "you have been calling me that for months now without telling me its meaning." She stuck out her lower lip, and looked up from under her sweeping lashes. A masterful attempt to disarm him, but Finn strengthened himself against his lover's charms.

He raised his hand and brushed it against the curve of her cheek. It was warm and the hum of power tickled against his fingertips. Finn watched how Zahrah leaned into his touch. "In due time, I will tell you the story." Finn promised.

I think it's sad that most people always think of bottlenoses as the "classic dolphin" since its the one that's always used for shows, and always think of dolphins as just straight grey when in reality there's so many varieties with so many different amazing patterns

Look at the common dolphin! They have a gorgeous X pattern and even some dull yellow/gold!!

Hourglass dolphins have gorgeous white streaks

Spinner dolphins have really pretty banding as well, AND they have a really sleek cute silhouette!

The atlantic spotted dolphin!!! Theyre spotted!!!!!!

and the pantropical spotted too!!

Dusky dolphins have a gorgeous airbrush look going on like straight out of a 2000s fantasy illustration
