If He Had Been with Me - Laura Nowlin

Just finished with book and omg I'm heartbroken. 💔💔

The plot was so heartfelt and warm. Throughout the book I grew attached to the characters learning more about they history. Finny and Autumn truly have my heart and the ending I cried so much and it was so quick.

I don't know if I will be able to get through If Only I Had Told Her by Laura Nowlin. I can't wait to start it though.

Loved the book and definitely recommend. It is my only 6 star read and I will take no hate on the book. ⭐⭐

i swear i died a little when i read this. literally. my soul left my body. when i tell you i literally sat on my bed in shock at the ending i am not joking. first off, @lauranowlin you had no right to kill Finny, there was no purpose. why. and like, the whole thing with Autumn being pregnant and freaking suicidal??? like what??? but all jokes aside, i ADORED this book, it was so so so good, and is definitely going on my favorites list.

Oh my gods, I cannot express how good this book is! It actually left me pondering about some things, and I also didn't read the back, so I had absolutely NO clue what I was getting myself into.

One thing that I kind of expected, was that whole "cheating trope" between Jamie and Autumn. I guess that was intended, though. Maybe I should have caught on to it earlier, but the second he was talking about going to the movies with Sasha, I was automatically like, "red flag."

I think sex was used way too much in this book, but I kind of understand it. You get a bunch of horny teenagers, there's going to be sex. I felt Autumn and her suicide attempt was a little rushed, and I think her and Finny should have gotten a little more time together! Overall, left me in absolute tears. Half happy, half wishing there were a happy ending. But I can always make up an alternate ending in my head, right? :)

ive barely read this year and i started this book in like jan and oh my god i promise if you're currently in a reading slump this book will take you straight out of it, it was the most heart wrenching, fast moving, depressing plot ever. its a must read!!
