What if the turtles were in the pokemon world? And what if they were never turtles, but in fact, mutated pokemon? What if they lived in the Castelia sewers of Unova instead of New York?
Meet my Rise/Pokemon AU!! Waaaah this has been on my mind for MONTHS now. Pokemon is that one fixation that'll never leave me. I'm THAT pokemon fan that knows WAAAAY too much about the games and lore. For those that don't know,
Raph is Drednaw
Leo is Wartortle
Mikey is Torkoal
Donnie is Lapras
Yes. They are all shiny. I started with raph, since him as drednaw is pretty much a no brainer. The shiny form fit too well with him and his color scheme. Than I realized if I made him shiny, I had to make the other bros shiny as well so THEY ALL SHINY. (draxum shiny hunter confirmed?) Also dual rock typing fits well with raph's character.
Wartortle for leo was also a pretty obvious choice. I MEAN LOOK AT HIM. Long flowy tail? Yes please. I had to keep his markings somehow. Wartortle has little dark cheek spots, so I just changed them to be leo's markings. Water typing leo. Go with the flow, think on the spot, it worked out too well.
Torkoal for Mikey was another easy one. Fire turtle? Passionate, warm, also DANGEROUS (he can be a menace ok) Say no more. His powers in rise are already pyro related. Also having him shiny helped a lot with the color scheme. Torkoal is normally orange so having mikey be the yellow shiny form meant I didn't have to mess with his mask colors
Donnie on the other hand....OHHH BOI I STRUGGLED WITH YOU. I went through 4 DIFFERENT POKEMON, before deciding on the least turtle like of them all. I am aware that we do have a softshell pokemon with enamorous, but it's a legendary so thats not happening. But it was really important for me to keep donnie's soft shell and battle shell. I wanted this to be a RISE au and donnie's battle shell is pretty tied into his character. (there's also tirtouga which I almost went with, but I didn't like that both he and raph shared the exact same dual typing) Soooo, Lapras. Its more of a loch ness monster but it also draws inspiration from a placochelys (prehistoric seaturtle esque species) so IM COUNTING IT. Very unconventional but I have my reasons. Ice typing is a good offensive type, but is pretty bad defensively. Which ties into rise donnie's fighting style. If I wasn't a coward, I wouldve made donnie the biggest of the bros. Since lapras is like 8 feet tall compared to the others being like 1-3 feet. But uhhh, I swear I have an in universe explanation for why he's so small ok.
And than there's April. She is not a pokemon trainer in this au. At least not in the traditional sense. I've been with pokemon for all of my 26 years of life, and I always wanted to know what the normal people of the pokemon world are up to. Not everyone is out here collecting gym badges, travelling, or catching them all. How do non-trainers interact with the pokemon world? So that's where I'm at with April. She will get a pokemon partner, but other than that, she's just an average high schooler who befriended the turtles from a young age and takes part in all their shenanigans. I took some design elements from rosa and hilbert with her outfit, but otherwise its pretty much the same.
We'll see how far I'll take this. I've been using this as a break from my many other projects, but like everything I do, it grew too many legs and is slowly becoming its own thing.

Ok, so I've been obsessed with Monster High since it came out, and my favorite character has always been Jackson Jekyll. And you know what? Not only is he an underrated character, but like, they made his background super detailed and complicated for like no reason. I couldn't tell you how many times I've gone on long rants trying to explain it all.
Think of this like a combination of different wikis. This is based on Generation 1, the movies from Boo York Boo York and previous, the diaries, the webisodes, and some of the books. I have not watched anything from Gen 2 or 3, which really doesn't matter because Jackson isn't in any of the reboots.
Basic Information
Jackson Jekyll and Holt Hyde are two people in the same body. They have different memories and different personalities.
Jackson Jekyll is 16 years old. His favorite color is yellow, his favorite food is mac & cheese, and his birthday is May 30th.
Holt Hyde is 16 years old. His favorite color is orange, his favorite food is hot wings, and his birthday is May 30th.
They both have a pet chameleon named Crossfade.
Jackson is a bit of a nerdy type. He enjoys wearing bow ties and sweater vests. He likes to play video games. He's crazy smart, and his favorite subject is Mad Science.
Holt has a rocker style with his everyday outfit being a red leather jacket and purple pants. He also shows more of their fire elemental side than Jackson, so he incorporates flames in all his outfits as well. He loves music, so he always wears headphones (not to mention that later becomes his trigger), and music theory is his favorite subject. He has a hot temper and can become angry very easily.
Jackson Jekyll is their default character. However, he transforms into Holt due to different triggers. His original trigger was it being either day or night where he was Jackson during the day and Holt at night. Later, his trigger changed to music with a 4/4 time signature, which is most music. In the diaries, Jackson states that his doctor believes the trigger will change at least one more time, and he is deathly afraid it will be something important that he can't avoid like taking a shower.
Jackson and Holt did not know of each other's existences until they were 16. Since their memories were different, they thought they had consistent black outs. Holt considered it just a way of life and how it was, but in the books, Jackson (thanks to the suggestion of Melody Carver) thought is was due to his extreme anxiety.
Family
Jackson Jekyll is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Jekyll.
Holt Hyde is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hyde.
Jackson was born half normie (mom) and half monster (dad). The thing is, his dad is not the Jekyll/Hyde. That's his mom. His mom is the normie half of the Jekyll and Hyde combo. His dad is a fire elemental.
Holt is a full monster. His mother is the Hyde, and his father is a fire elemental.
This makes Jackson and Holt half-brothers. They have different moms but the same dad.
They know they have different moms or at least more than one mom. They call her Moms in the books and diaries. Their mom (in both versions of Jekyll and Hyde as far as I can tell) is named Sydney, who is a science teacher at Merston High and likes to go by Mrs. J.
That adds on another layer because that means his dad took his mom's last name, AND his dad's last name changes depending on who his wife is because he married both the Jekyll and the Hyde. So does that mean every time he is asked his name, the dad has to be like, "I don't know. Let me call my wife,"? Like, does he just change his name every day or is he just Dr. Jekyll by default and then changes his name if he gets a call from his wife? And he's not Dr. Hyde but Mr. Hyde, so does he loses his doctorate when his wife goes crazy?
Anyway, Jackson and Holt are cousins with Heath and Harmony Burns. Harmony is Heath's older sister. Their mother is Jackson and Holt's dad's sister aka their aunt.
Friends
Jackson's best friend is Deuce Gorgon.
Jackson first met Deuce in the diaries where they played some pick-up casketball. Then, they met-met and actually started to hang out after the webisode Fear Pressure. In the episode, Jackson had started to attend Monster High but was being bullied for being a normie (or at least appearing as one), so Deuce decided to take pity on him and let him sit at his and Heath's lunch table. Later on, Deuce introduced him to others like Gil.
When they first moved to their neighborhood, which made them change schools and start attending Monster High, Jackson only became Holt during the night, so Jackson was the first one to meet their neighbors. One time, Draculaura made him a welcome-to-the-neighborhood cake, and when he returned the tin, he met Dracula of which he was not afraid and actually made a joke about stakes. This was considered weird because both normies and monsters were afraid of Dracula, for in the diaries, he was described as being like a creepy, no-nonsense Nosferatu. Later, Draculaura invited him to Clawdeen's Boo-B-Que where he met The Wolfs.
During the night, Holt would come out and walk around. There, he studied his neighbor's houses and saw them very occasionally.
Holt actually went and became a DJ with the nickname DJ Hyde. While working a party, he met Draculaura. She was dancing the Transylvania Trance. He thought she was attractive and approached her by calling her Ula D, but she became confused because they had never met before.
That adds on another thing. Apparently, they can share some memories.
Romances
Jackson and Holt had many romances.
In the books, Jackson went to Merston High. There, he met a siren named Melody Carver. They started to date, but Melody met Cleo, because Cleo also went to this school for some reason, and they hated each other. So to get Melody jealous, Cleo ended up kissing Jackson. But he felt nothing for her. Then Melody started a band and revealed Holt, which started a love triangle except Jackson didn't know about Holt, so he didn't know what she was upset about. They ended up breaking up where she then got with a gargoyle named Granite who was also into music, but unfortunately their relationship never went anywhere, and Melody and Granite never became official.
Then there was Draculaura. Jackson and Holt both liked her, but she only ever tried to date Jackson. She said in one of her diaries that they ended up "breaking up", even though they were never officially dating, because he never went to their evening dates and could never remember exactly why he didn't the next morning. Little did they know it was because of Holt.
Then there was Frankie. She slowly fell in love with him over the course of Volume II of the webisodes in episodes such as Miss Information, Hyde Your Heart, and Hyde and Shriek. She originally liked Jackson because he was the new kid, and she was fairly new too and remembered how hard it was. She even stood up against his bully, Manny Taur. But then she met Holt and became conflicted because she thought she liked both of them and had to choose between them. After she found out they were the same person, she introduced them to each other, which is how they found out about each other in the first place. She then would record them talking on her phone so that they could talk to each other, but that got old fast, so she gave them separate phones specifically for texting each other. She decided they couldn't date until they got over their differences.
There was Operetta. In the diaries, Holt said that he liked that she liked music, so they went on a date at a concert. But then Holt got angry at someone, and due to his anger issues, he got into a fight. He and Operetta were kicked out. Her dad did not like that, and they weren't allowed to date anymore.
Then there was Clair. Clair is my personal favorite and is my OTP. In the movie Ghouls Rule, Holt got arrested while he and other monsters were vandalizing the normie school of New Salem High. He transformed back into Jackson while in jail, so they let him go thinking that Holt somehow kidnapped Jackson and swapped places with him. He became a fugitive, so Jackson hid by attending New Salem High. There, he met Clair. She stood up to bullies for him and even later defended him against the police after they captured him and tried to behead him (and no, I'm not joking). They had a discussion at the end where Holt commented that while Jackson and him don't agree on much, at least they can agree on women. He tried to kiss her, but she swapped him to Jackson first and then kissed him because, well, she didn't know him that well yet. She's an anti-police, anti-racism/speciesism, goth baddie, and I love her for that.
Side Notes
Despite being a huge nerd, Jackson is actually really good at sports. Jackson and Deuce only initially became friends because of a game of casketball. In Deuce's diary, he went to the court to play, but only saw "a lame human kid" aka Jackson. He was initially going to ignore him, but then Jackson asked to play. Then it turned out that Jackson could play very well. Quote, "I was gonna slide out of there, but he asked if I wanted to play some one on one. I figured it wouldn't take long to make him look like a statue out there, but I was wrong. He had a scary good jump shot and even crossed me over a couple times. I had just started to play really hard when my glasses got knocked off and broke. Now I have to figure out a way to get home without stoning someone, but dude just took off his shades and handed them over to me. He said to keep them until I got home and he'd get them later. Told me his name is Jackson Jekyll. He said he wants a rematch. I told him any time, any place. Not a bad guy...for a human." Also, in Friday Night Frights, Jackson attempted to join the roller maze team before he was stopped by Manny Taur. Edit: I just remembered he also plays volleyball in the Gloom Beach line.
Additionally, Jackson and Holt have facial piercings and tattoos. This is very rare and somewhat strange given they are only 16 and would at least need parent's permission for the tattoos. The only other G1 characters that have tattoos, that I know of, are Operetta and Wisp from 13 Wishes. The only other characters with facial piercings, not counting ear piercings, are Clair, Cleo, and Manny Taur as Cleo has the gem under her eye, Clair has a classic lip piercing, and Manny has a septum piercing. Jackson has one tattoo of a Ying & Yang symbol on his back, and he has an eyebrow piercing on his left eyebrow. Holt has two tattoos with the same Yin & Yang tattoo and an additional face tattoo around his eye. He also has a left eyebrow piercing.
The tattoos admittedly confuse me because the fact that Jackson doesn't have one of Holt's tattoos may imply that they got the tattoos separately, so they both just so happened to pick the same tattoo and then Holt got one extra. Also, their parents had to sign off on allowing their 16 year old son to be allowed to have a face tattoo.
Edit: Some people have mentioned that Holt's face tattoo may actually be a birthmark due it being mentioned in one of the diaries. However, this doesn't make sense to me because Jackson does not have a birthmark. So like many, I believe this mention of it being a birthmark was only added after they made the design as an excuse, and it should be left up for interpretation.
That's alI can think of for now. Info may change later, but that's the story of The Strange Case of Jackson Jekyll and Holt Hyde.

Do you think the monsters are more physical or at least made of something different in deltarune? Unlike the monsters in undertale, the monsters in deltarune don't seem to use magic and are able to handle determination.
Right now, I actually do think that monsters are physical beings in Deltarune, and that their souls really aren't materially different from human souls. There's just way more evidence towards this than towards the idea that they operate exactly as they did in Undertale.
The evidence that they're magical beings:
One monster asks Kris what it's like to be made of blood
The just...assumption that things work the same as how we already know them
The evidence that they're physical beings:
The pointed change of flavor text in Toriel's kitchen, showing that she does not cook with fire magic
Noelle talks about wishing she could use cure magic for Rudy, indicating that that idea is just fantasy for her
Catti talks about learning occult spells, meaning she views magic not as a natural expression of monsters, but as something learned...the same way we look at magic
Susie feels comfortable talking about blood a lot, to the point where it's suspicious
The monsters eat normal food and have normal physical ailments; Catti's father talks about the family having to get their stomachs pumped when they ate oranges, since they can't have citrus
Queen brings up determination as something that "all Lightners possess," and is primarily focused on Noelle using her powers to create a new dark fountain. This seems to indicate that monsters have just as much determination as humans, and that determination is not even relevant towards the same powers it is in Undertale.
And most importantly, the fact that monsters were made of magic and as a result had significantly weaker souls in Undertale served a purpose both storywise and gameplaywise...it made humans immensely stronger than monsters, which enables you to go through the Underground killing them even as a little kid, and is also a huge contributor to important character and story elements.
However, Deltarune is a different story with different themes, in a different universe. There doesn't seem to be a material need for monsters to have that physiology in Deltarune...the major themes are about the differences between Lightners and Darkners, not humans and monsters, after all. So it follows for me that the mechanics are very different here.

SO 👏
I been thinking really hard about how I'll be writing magic for whatever undertale related stuff I write.
If viewed as straightforward, we get an example of magic that could be reasonably tied to every human soul "trait" (more on that later) in undertale proper. Listed as follows:
Cyan magic: Tied to patience, requires targets to stop in order to avoid damage. Many monsters in Snowdin use it, though notably Papyrus, Sans and Asgore have used it
Orange magic: Tied to bravery, requires targets to move in order to avoid damage. Many monsters in Hotland use it, but a notable example would be Asgore as well
Green magic: Tied to kindness, could be reasonably tied to healing magic since healing is often associated with the color green, not to mention the game requires you to touch a green attack on some occasions (such as vegetoid's healing veggies). Plus Undyne and her turning you green, forcing you to stop moving but giving you the opportunity to protect yourself in the process
Blue magic: Tied to Integrity, likely something to do with gravity. Notable example is Papyrus and Sans, though Papyrus only uses it to weigh you down, versus Sans using it to throw you around (or maybe forcibly changing your direction of gravity?)
Yellow Magic: Tied to Justice, seems to be used strictly offensively? Notably, monsters don't use it against you, but Frisk is given the opportunity to use it during the Mettaton fights. However, I believe that the Karma poison damage from Sans's fight is because he's actively using Yellow magic at the time
Purple magic: Tied to perseverance. An oddball magic type, because the only Real example we get of it is during the Muffet fight. And since she's not technically part of the main cast despite having such a unique and notable boss fight, we don't get Much information on her personally to make any real guesses or judgements. And THIS is my sticking point, the thing I think about a lot
Muffet turns your soul purple, and you find yourself only able to move along the webbing that she strings up along the battle screen. You can't stray from the lines, you can only pass from line to line and move along them, until the magic wears off and you can move freely.
I have been thinking of how these magic types can be tied to elements as well, since we see a lot of certain kinds of monsters use certain types. I'll list my thoughts below
Cyan: Ice
Orange: Fire
Blue: Water/Or just straight up. Gravity. I know it's not traditional in a sense but we don't really get much on this one either bear with me
Green: Plant-life
Yellow: Electricity
Purple: And AGAIN I come up blank. Best I could figure? Earth. Rock. Or, conversely, the wind. Air. Something adaptable.
Purple stands out. It's a different sort of "trait" compared to the others, because all the others are straightforward. Anyone can define themselves by their Bravery, or their Kindness, or their sense of Justice, but who is defining themselves by how much they Persevere? Or Persist?
Soul Traits as I write them in TSoT or even Crossbones and Starstruck arent the end all be all of a person. It's simply tied to what chiefly motivates them. If they happen to be a mage, then the magic they use corresponds to that motivation, to that Color of magic. There's no right or wrong trait here, only intent.
Intent is important, intent is what causes you to be able to clear the genocide route so easily! Because the game knows you're going out of your way to grind—in short, you do more damage because you want to do more damage. If you don't want to hurt someone, then it's reflected in your attack. That is why monsters were so vulnerable during the war, because human vitriol made it all the easier for monster populations to be decimated.
Swinging back around to Perseverance: I think this trait—this magic, is completely personal. I think it reflects the user more so than the others because the point is to persevere—to survive. To Get Through This Shit. It's adaptability at its core.
Muffet is in a position where her family is split by the cold of Snowdin, and it seems like her family is extremely important to her, all posturing and threat displays and money hungry persona is masking the fact that she is concerned with and takes care of her own. And they care for her in turn—they do everything she asks, assist in the fight with you and help run her bake sakes, and upon her death you are greeted with a solemn scene of one of them rushing up to drop a flower where she stood and then rushing off again.
Adaptability and survival is important, but the best way to adapt and survive is to lean on others. Find your people, build your village and so on. She's never doing this alone. She knows this and it strengthens her. Her fight wouldn't be nearly as tough if she didn't have her spiders helping with it.
And ideally, a user of purple magic gets that strength from their loved ones. How that magic manifests depends on the person, as I've said before.
Muffet is a spider. She traps you in a web. Subtextually, one could argue that your connections to others are like a web expanding outwards to those that you know.
Angel, my self insert, has the perseverance soul trait. In Crossbones and Starstruck, you've seen her use purple magic once—to force her health to stop depleting. In a physical sense, she stopped the bleeding entirely, if only briefly. Ensuring her continued survival until help arrived. What else she can do with her magic, if anything, remains yet to be seen. But I'll tell you what—
Connections are important. Acknowledging your love for others only strengthens you. Electing to pretend that someone isn't important to you out of misguided fear of being rejected or misunderstood only hurts you, and thus, your magic.
:-)

I had this idea and instantly wrote it down. Not edited, but I might continue with this idea. Let me know if I forgot any warnings.
Warnings: Gore, blood, loss of limbs, and death.
You know what has to be done, yet the weapon in your hand feels so heavy. You were their loyal follower, always in their shadow, as they explore their world of Teyvat, yet now the royal being you knew is now a pitiful remnant. Their body is on the ground as they look up at you in fury. Their weapon is on the ground with your silver blood dripping off it as their golden ichor stains themselves, your weapon, and you, a symbol of the sin you are committing. They look up at you, anger and betrayal swirling in their eyes as they hiss out, ”You traitor, you're supposed to serve me! Not the people.”
Their voice is shaky as they put pressure on their wounds, with frantic and unstable breaths they stand up again. Mumbling the words traitor over and over as they look at you with scolding anger, “How dare you betray me for this monster,” They hiss out again, glaring at the blonde woman behind you.
The woman wasn't doing better, burn wounds cover her body as fire licks her. Instead of the normal blood all humans have hers is fire that singes the grass underneath her. You glance at the women before returning your gaze back and grip your weapon tighter, “' Serve as the dim light to their magnificent blazing light, but be swift for when the light turns to embers you must snuff them out', that is the code I follow your grace. It's time to snuff out the embers,” Is your cold response with a slight waver, a testament to how difficult this choice is. The blade soon finds its purchase into their gut, their blood trickling down their lips as they grasp you. Even in death their cold and unhinge gaze unnerves you. Their body turns to dust and the wounds that they were able to inflict on you turns to gold. The transfer is complete. You sheathe your weapon and turn to the woman behind you. Her arm was ripped off by the late creator and you click your tongue at that as you kneel. Reaching towards the woman she looks at you in fear, but it doesn't matter. Not when she is losing so much blood, well fire in this case. You take the elements around you and manipulate them, drawing them out from the woman as you fashion an arm made of fire. The blazing red and oranges soon settle to a color similar to her body as you stand up and leave her alone. “T-thank you!” The woman yells out as she scrambles to be standing, “I won't forget this! My name is Rosalyne... so please, let me return the favor,” she speaks quickly as she dashes after you, wanting to stay near you.

Auauahh,, part 8. I swear this series will be the end of me. Also, fair warning, the rest of the series may be a wee bit dark solely because I refuse to let anyone smile.
Also yeah, the chapters shorter than I'd like.
☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*☆
Galvana paced throughout the first floor of the castle the second they believed it was empty, collecting their belongings and any items they would need. Most food, some repair kits, some first aid. Anything they needed, they grabbed. Any regards for whom it belonged to meant very little now.
Once they believed everything they needed had been gathered, Galvana fled back to the only safe spot in the castle: their room. They pushed the door open, only to be met by Vhamp.
Vhamp stood in the middle of Galvana's room. It was covered wall to wall in papers. Paragraphs of handwritten information, pages ripped from books, printed from the internet - some even his own work. It had only been mere days since they had made these sketches. It was clear that Galvana had been planning for a very long time.
"Galvana, what is this?" Vhamp confronted. "How long has this been going on?"
"Vhamp, leave."
"No. Not until you answer me. What the hell is all of this?"
"I don't want to hurt you."
The mech celestial stood its ground. He was aware of Galvana learning new abilities, yet no fear resided in its mind. Although they were not particularly friends, he knew they wanted to maintain what they had. Why wouldn't they? It was all they had left.
He asked one last time: What is Galvana doing? They raised their staff in response, the core glowing a brilliant, lively green.
"I'm doing what's fair."
The base of the castle began to quiver and split. Roots erupted from the floor, entangled around Vhamps robotic limbs and holding him firmly in place. There was no time to think or speak. Galvana fled to the hallway, where Furnoss stood in a state of shock. The plantation grew rapidly, crawling up along his body and neck. He fought back, burning it away with fire in sputtering coughs. He was far too scared to do more. So very, very scared.
Galvana fled outside, knocking the front door clean off its hinges as they did. The castle had begun to be lifted from the ground it settled on, shredded into sections of its original form. Stones fell. Items of every kind shattered. One of the only celestials that hadn't been affected by the tangled roots flew from the wreckage, diving down and directly into the rampaging celestial.
Plixie sunk her nails into Galvana's neck, dragging them across the grass and mud. There wasn't a hint of hesitation, as if she knew it were Galvana who had done this. The supernatural celestial's staff had been dropped in the process. They didn't seem to need it.
The two barreled into a nearby tree, which caved over at the sudden force and split them apart. Plixie was quick to return to flight, wiping dirt and blood from an unknown source out of her eyes. There was no way to tell whom it belonged to.
Her mind was blurred. So much had happened at once. She didn't even know where she stood right now. All the plasma monster knew was that Galvana was to blame. The moment something vaguely blue and orange moved, she attacked with every bone her on body.
Galvana was unable to stand so quickly after such a beating. Their back felt as if it were shredded. They jerked their head down, hearing their attacker approaching. Their horns pointed forward. Plixie didn't stop in time.
Her throat and chest were pierced by two jagged spikes. Galvana shook their head back, tossing her to the side and ripping themselves free. A chunk flesh stuck to their horns.
Plixie gasped, coughing in an attempt to draw in breath. Her esophagus was exposed to the elements. One of her lungs had surely collapsed.
What was once believed to be a nearby tree began to shift. Sage kneeled over the scene.
"Finally," Galvana hissed. "Did you get him?"
Sage revealed a motionless monster in her hand. Their creator seemed satisfied.
"Good. Knowing their situation, it doesn't surprise me that he came early.. follow me."
The staff Galvana had dropped was easily found. Their satchel and bag of necessities stood nearby. They grabbed a new, more important item from Plixie as well.
Galvana stood near the remains of the castle. With a motion of their hand, the roots slithered back into the dirt. The wreckage fell to the ground. Although there was more they needed, it would be smarter to follow the plan they had mapped out all that time ago. They weren't ready to gather the rest just yet.
Sage lifted Galvana up. They guided the wubbox in the direction they needed. There was nothing left for them here. Soon, they were missing.
Torrt pushed his way through the rubble. What had just happened? He didn't ponder for long. The earth celestial began to kick aside the fallen wreckage, searching for anyone he could. Hornacle was the first to emerge. Together, they freed Furnoss.
"Over here!" Blasoom yelled. She was released shortly after, pulling Vhamp up alongside her.
His mechanical body was crushed, but he was alive. Torrt offered to carry him on the back of his shell until they were able to move again on their own. It was the best option.
"Where's Galvana?" Furnoss asked. It didn't seem as if they were here - not under the rubble or otherwise.
"What about Plixie?" Torrt added.
"She flew out," Blasoom answered. "Those.. Those things never caught her."
The five shared a collective look of worry. Silently, they agreed to search separately.
Hornacle was the monster who found her, having to cover his mouth to keep himself from screaming. Her head was missing.
Torrt kept Blasoom away. She didn't need to see this. Her wails were all the more painful. He searched for a towel, having Hornacle wrap the body. What else could he do? A numbness began to wash over the water celestial as he did his best to hide the scene before him.
Furnoss's eyes had never seemed so bewildered, fixed on Hornacle carrying the bundled body of what used to be his celestial friend. His pupils were merely pin pricks in a sea of off-white fog. His gaze fell into the forest where the wubbox had disappeared into. Then, towards the front yard. He had no reaction to the sight of the neighboring monsters from below starting to venture up the hill to them. The destruction had caused quite the mess. Of course, they were curious.
"What do we do?" Blasoom hiccuped.
"We need to go," Torrt stuttered. His pain, his grief, all barely contained behind a thin wall of forced strength. Vhamp agreed, tapping his shell twice.
"Can you speak?"
One tap. That must mean no.
They were not sure where to flee. Furnoss could hardly move. The plant celestial did her best to lead him onwards, at least as far away from anyone's view as she could. The only place they could run to were the trees.
Word spread quickly of the destruction of Plant Island's castle, only a few hours until it was all over the island. It was a historical experience. Guarded all those years, only to be wiped out in an unknown attack. Many speculated on the cause, yet no one could know for sure. Ghazt had been informed, although they weren't sure how long ago this had happened. They were fast to tell G'joob, who spread the information to the rest of the Mythicals.
With the other Ethereals aware, Ghazt traveled to Plant Island and warily explored the woods. It was the only place they knew to check. Thankfully, their guess was right. It doesn't seem as though the celestials got far.
"Guys!" Ghazt yelled, speeding into them and phasing through Furnoss. "Guys, oh my stars! Oh - oh.. oh no."
The plasma monster noticed right away the damage that had been done. Their mouth stood agape as reality began to sink in. Ghazt hovered to Hornacle, opening their arms. Hesitant, he handed over the body. It silently peeled away the towel to get a glance, then hid the body once more.
"What happened?" They asked.
"Vhamp knows," Torrt answered, "but they can't talk. We.. we think Galvana-"
"Ghazt?" Furnoss spoke for the first time. "Please.. can she come back?"
"No," Ghazt kept its voice leveled. "Celestial can heal, but.. they can't regrow certain limbs. Whoever did this - they wanted her gone for good."
"She's.. for good?"
"Well, no, but.. Uh - Ethereal Island! I need to get you guys there!"
"What about Scaratar? Attmoz and Glaishur?"
"Humbug is with her, so she should know by now.. Strombonin has probably gotten to the other two, but he's been strange lately. Look, we need to go!"
Furnoss wanted more answers. He quickly accepted the travel, and with a spinning of Ghazts claws, an interdimensional portal opened widely before them. He leaped in without worry, and the rest followed. Another new world to see.
Vhamp was quickly taken to Reebro, who began the repairs immediately. It was going to be a stressful procedure. Not only was the mech Ethereal working on his creator, but he was also working before many of the celestials. Another monster, Bellowfish, acted as an assistant. They ushered away the spectating celestials, assuring them that Vhamp would be alright within the next couple of days. They simply needed to trust in Reebro's expertise.
A canine-like monster, Sox, trotted alongside Ghazt as Plixie's body was taken to an unknown location. The others were told that she was going to be preserved, following a quick explanation of how Celestials are unable to die.
"She isn't gone for good," Sox explained. "She's in a waiting room, like Glaishur had been. We need her head to bring her back - Plixie's celestial powers are still active."
"We don't know what.. happened," Furnoss sighed. He tried his best to explain what he could from memory. "Whatever it was, it could harm many other monsters."
"That's why you're here. We have to protect you. Whatever happened, you were the target."
"What about the neighborhood below?"
"We already lost the celestials once," Ghazt moved in, "and we aren't going to lose them again. The Mythicals are helping out their designated Islands! There isn't enough space here for everyone."
Torrt seemed terribly uneasy. Although he appreciated the safety, it felt wrong to leave the others behind. He fiddled with his hands, watching some of the passing Ethereals and catching the attention of one and following them. It appeared to be some sort of reptilian. He knew what he saw, and even more what he hadn't. They needed Vhamp now more than ever.
By now, Humbug had gotten a plentiful of notifications on his device. There wasn't any time for chit-chat, though; he was busy assisting Scaratar on her next costume.
"Something bright," he suggested. "You want to stand out against the stage!"
"Humbug, darling, I know what I'm doing," she chuckled. "It's going to be a small crowd this time. Somewhere nearby."
"Ah, playing it safe?"
"For now."
"Oh, you want a mysterious persona? The Masked Singer, anywhere at any time!"
"It's preferred. Live television.. that's another thing to check off my bucket list!"
More laughing, more planning. Scaratar enjoyed the new life she was building for herself. It was profitable in more ways than one.
"Eh - I do need to remind you to be careful. Last night was a real risky move."
"Oh, I'm just having fun. I'm probably the least confusing monster around these parts."
Scaratar set out a map, circling the area in marker of which she intended to perform. A small restaurant with weekly karaoke nights; something that was all too common here. She didn't mind, of course. It made it much easier for others to enjoy one of her shows.
Humbug tossed a black and purple hat in the air, having it land on his head.
"How's about we go on a stroll, m'lady?" He said with a joking tone.
"Ew."
"I look awesome."
The two poison monsters set out for the afternoon, both deep in disguise. Their plans were set for later that night. Now, they wanted to explore the area and brainstorm what the best entrance would be.
Monsters lined the streets, and vehicles rumbled and drove past. There hasn't been a day when the city felt slow.

I love aimless cuddling but had a thought about submas in undertale?? Like what would they look like, what their attacks may be?
lions you put a Bug into my head. is that an expression in english, that might be a worm. Like, earworm but for a thought. ANYWAYS
They're still somewhat humanoid bcs they're still fundamentally Human in pokemon so I wanted to keep that BUT BUT BUT I couldn't bear completely divorcing them from their pokemon so they get attributes from their pokemon SO THAT MEANS...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ELEMENTALS! *dodges a shoe for drawing yet another fire elemental* shh shh shh i still wanted to keep them being similar to each other so elementals were obvious choice
as for their attacks, Ingo would have stuff more coming from the bottom, and a meandering sort of fire. And Emmet would have attacks coming from the top and waves of electricity. When together, Ingo's attacks could also turn orange and Emmet's blue!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'd like to think they're running a battle club or something so they're very experienced about this (hi i think abt battles being a way for monsters to communicate Often), but despite being asked to join the guard several times they just Don't Want To. similar to how they're not in the league in pokemon but still very much high-level trainers. This also comes to - they'd be willing to fight you in pacifist routes as some sort of an optional boss, together, of course. They make it clear it's a sparring match For Fun from the beginning and would always stop before knocking your HP to zero (my Papyrus bias isn't showing). They'd also lay down their own conditions for sparing bare. SAFETY CHECK!
SPARING conditions would either knocking them both down enough (they'd each tell you when to stop, respectively), or outlasting a certain number of turns (that'd be the yellow credits sparing condition, as their attacks would ramp up with difficulty each turn).
If you dust either the second one becomes VERY distraught and attacks would become much more erratic and hard to dodge, and also lose their color element. not sparable at that point. like. congratz you killed one of the twins.
Also they're still running a train (magic, of course) through the CORE, hotlands and New Home, because they still do need to be silly train men.
* Welcome to the path under the Underground! * The Sub-Way.

OC Questionnaire
I was tagged by @elsie-writes , thank you! These are some of my favorite tags!
My Questions are:
What is your favorite piece or part of history?
What is your biggest fear?
What is your favorite flower?
These are characters from the first three books of my WIP series (formarly just one book), Testaments of the Green Sea.
What is your favorite piece or part of history?
Narul: "History? Um...I guess I never really thought about that sort of thing. Do legends count? Huma the Spiritblood is a story I really like...but I don't know how true those stories were."
Ninma: "Seha! Princess Seha! She was from Makur, but when she dueled Tamel, she almost won too. Tamel was so impressed that he made her his general! And then when Tamel came to Kishetal he sent her to find a place to found a great city! So she sailed down the Aratshin River and discovered the Great Lake and so she killed all those monsters and she talked to the ancient Kiriki and that's how it was decided where Labisa would be founded!"
Otilia: "The Arkodian kingdom. My father used to walk me through the old crumbling temples, the mantle of our fireplace was made from a piece of an old Arkodian temple. It's hundreds of years old but I still remember the paints were so vibrant. People still wear Arkodian jewelry when they can find it, it just seems like everything was so beautiful back then, I wish I could have seen the mountain sanctuaries of the spirit mothers."
Akard: "The reign of Tamel, 500 years of peace and prosperity, when Kishetal was one kingdom, when Kishites built the greatest palaces that the world has ever seen. Some day we will see that world again, soon I hope."
Istek: "Last night, I had wine, food, and these two." He gestures to his partners, Dati an Sihunu. "Does that count as history?"
Penetinos: "Arkodai, I would have loved to see the great furnaces where the sages and smiths worked together to make magic metals, to trap the elements themselves in mortal tools."
What is your biggest fear?
Narul: "That I'll forget the people that I care about."
Ninma: "That I'll end up like my family."
Otilia: "Hmm, I'm not entirely sure, once I would have said that it was my old husband trying to find me. But now I'd love to see him try it."
Akard: "I fear that when I die all of my work, all the work I've done to better this land will fall apart and that all of the terrible things I've had to do will have been for nothing."
Istek: "Being helpless."
Penetinos: "To tell you the truth, I'm not sure. For most of my life it was death, especially after I found about my illness, but now I've accepted it. I suppose I'm scared of dying and feeling like I'm not ready, like there was more I could have done."
What is your favorite flower?
Narul: "A hasir flower. You only see them in Kishetal, they bloom in autumn and they are so many shades of red and yellow and orange, it makes the hillside look like its on fire. And they smell sweet. I pick one any time I see them. I know I don't really look like the sort but..." He gestures to his massive frame "But, I like putting them in my beard and hair."
Ninma: "Hasir flowers! Narul gives me them."
Otilia: "Around Kalmanati where I grew up there were fields and fields of red poppies. I think I would say that those are my favorite."
Akard: "An apunina lotus, blue like a sapphire, when they bloom the entire river is perfumed."
Istek: "Flowers? Flowers hmm...not many of those at sea..." He turns to Sihunu. "What were the flowers growing around the spring where we met, those little purple ones?"
"Lavender?"
"That's it! Lavender!"
Penetinos: "The saffron crocus. They used to leave them at the temple where I served."
Your questions:
What is one embarassing memory from your childhood that you can't shake?
What would you take with you if you were trapped on a desert island for one week?
What is your favorite animal?
Tagging @roach-pizza , @pluttskutt , @illarian-rambling , @kaylinalexanderbooks and anyone else who is interested!

The Aker'varus (spoilers)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ya know this entire time it somehow didn't occur to me that the Aker'varus was just a dragon this entire time, lowkey assumed it was just some terrifying giant bird-like creature based on the Aerozoophobia creature we encountered in the Jungle Adventure quest. A thought that becomes extra dumb when you remember that particular fear monster looks like this:
Tumblr media
So the foreshadowing for what the mythical beast actually is was staring me right in the face and I completely missed that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ooof the trauma.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sounds like an opportunity to encounter the actual dragon in the future when concerning the plot of the southern kingdom. On another note, I still find the matter of Kassandra's parent's death much too suspect when we know how the Imperial family operates. I'm still not fully convinced they aren't at fault for the Aker'varus killing Kassandra's parents so to speak. Their demise in this manner just seems too convenient at the moment.
Tumblr media
Yo! A biologically metal themed dragon!?!?! Now I want us to fight the real thing even more now.
Tumblr media
....I'm convinced this man is an anime protagonist.
Tumblr media
Hmm while not stated, I suspect this fire being casted is doing "good" damage, as in the "elemental" good we see in game. Would certainly explain why the fire is pink in contrast to the orange flames Sirius was shown to cast as a child and furthermore it wouldn't be the first time we've seen the fires of other elements take on a completely different colors. In the case of good, its usually been a color motif of either pure white or a pinkish hue. Just an observation though.
Tumblr media
I. WANT. TO. FIGHT. THE. REAL. THING!!!!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okaaay didn't think Inanitas was straight up inside the artifact but I certainly won't complain. Might explain why no one else but Sirius has been able to use the artifact's power within the Imperial family's bloodline for a long time. It simply comes down to there being a literal conscience entity to decide who gets to use it or not. Gave Sirius some mad celestial drip though.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Easy to see why the Imperial family does not want Sirius to be free of the Sword of Inanitas.
Tumblr media
This line feels more ominous than anything. Sounds clear the Celestial has its own machinations it wants to achieve and yet I cannot help but be at unease when reading this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In spite of this feeling like a death flag, I suspect what might happen here is that Kassandra will simply be trapped in the Fearscape as opposed to dying in shutting the engine down with minimal damage. Perhaps leading to quests down the line to free her though that is a guess at best. Or her character will simply receive a fate worse than death treatment and she'll be forced to stay in an endless fearscape, for all eternity...or she'll just die. Alternatively, this might be a convenient escape for her from the Arcana. Can't imagine how Sirius will react if she's truly lost forever though.

Linktober: Battle
When it came to the fighting you weren’t so sure of yourself.
Training with Warriors and Sky certainly did help, that wasn’t a lie and while you weren’t an expert swordsman nor fighter you knew enough to keep yourself safe and fuck up monsters that got too close.
But it still terrified you, the thought of dying impaled by a sword, or torn to shreds by razor-sharp teeth, maybe even being poisoned by the more magic-inclined creatures that you avoided like Covid, letting the others with more experiences deal with them.
But sometimes life couldn’t go your way, so now you were such fighting a fire wizzrobe.
A terrifying experience in reality, compared to that of your switch screen, able to one hit them with the opposite of their element but you had nothing in that moment, only your sword and shield as you deflected fire orbs and tried to at least swipe it.
But alas, you were still very shit at combat with sorcery.
Would this be your demise?
Your hands shook at the thought, your moment of weakness leading to you falling back onto the grass, your shield laying too far to reach with only your sword for protection as the dastardly thing cackled, dancing above you menacingly with his wand glowing from an orange to blue witch more powerful magic.
This thing was about to kill you.
“I’m gonna die…” You were gonna die, you were going to die- you were about to be murdered-
Not even a second later a cool feeling went through the area, magic shooting from somewhere behind you, casting around the wizzrobe within a second and dropping its frozen body onto the dirt. It shattered into tiny pieces, its still petrified face spread across the floor similar to a newly opened puzzle piece before it burst into its usual purple smoke and left behind its meteor rod.
You finally sucked in a breath when hands came to clutch at your shoulders, turning you towards your savior and his frantic calls of your name.
“-you okay? Speak to me.” Legend’s hands were soft against your scratched-up cheek, looking over you worriedly before meeting your eyes. “You don’t look hurt- anything broken? Do I need to call the traveller over?”
It was funny how time and communication could affect a relationship, the past few months travelling with the boys, the Vet had made sure that you knew he despised you, your very existence was a nuisance to him- for good reason (in your eyes at least, your appearance and sudden closeness with members of the group was pretty suspicious) and you knew it was gonna be hard to befriend him.
But…you did it.
And now you were here.
“I…” You choked on a whimper, hands shaking as you grasped his, his fingers protectively wrapping around your own to squeeze. “I’m fine just- scarred.”
The way he softened made you tear up, water falling down your face as the adrenaline still coursed through you, body shivers having you lean into his warmth with his hand gently coming to hold your head to his chest.
“You’re okay.” You were, weren’t you? You were okay now, there wasn’t anything else, not here with him holding you so protectively like this, being your lifeline in these very traumatising few moments that seemed to last forever. “It’s okay, I’ve got you.”
A call came from nearby, of his name and yours, but you whimpered in protest when he went to move. “We have to go back to them.”
“Please, not yet, just-” When his hand moved you panicked, pulling away to beg in that moment of fear and hysterics, only to see him pull off a ring, the band of gold encrusted with a jewel of red glistening in the afternoon sun as he grasped your hand, gently moving it along a finger until it rested safely on the digit, hugging it perfectly. “Link…?”
His head grew pink like the streaks in his hair, already nearly faded but some locks still going strong. “It’s one of my more powerful protection rings, I- …you should keep it.”
You gaped before your lips upturned into a smile. “Thank you, Link.”
Legend’s hand gently came to intertwine with yours as he tugged you back to your feet. “Now let us return-”
Pressing the softest of kisses to the edge of his lips, you smiled. “Yeah, okay.”
Tomatoes would have been jealous of the shade of red he turned.

Wild and Twilight scout outside the Yiga base
Chapter 4: Canyon Scouting
Wild and Twilight hadn’t finished materializing before Wild clutched his slate to transport away from the Kihiro Moh shrine. What must have been miles of crisscrossing spider webs filled the circular end of Karusa Valley Canyon. Spiders the size of horses crawled through the cobwebs toward the pair. The massive gems on their bellies glowed with ominous purple light, turning the orange-red canyon walls a deep crimson.
“What the—Wild!” Twilight tried to grab his sword, but they were both already encased in the slimy webbing. “Get us out!”
“On it!” Wild said, grateful he hadn’t dropped the slate in surprise.
They disappeared in blue tendrils of light.
“That’s…uh…new,” Wild said, looking at Twilight in shock. They’d appeared at Kuh Takkar Shrine, above the Yiga’s canyon and half-buried in snow. They quickly bundled up and walked toward a small rise to get a view of the canyon far below, avoiding the monster camp down the hill on their left.
They spied the arena-like formation in the canyon, the webbing covering most of it from view. Black dots specked the white, scuttling frantically.
“Skulltulas,” Twi scowled, “Or a version of them. Looks like they report to the Yiga. Too bad we lost our element of surprise.”
“What? The Yiga don’t work with monsters. They get attacked the same as any Hylian.”
“Really? That’s lucky, I guess. But you’ve never seen these here before?”
Wild considered. “I’ve never seen spiders this large anywhere in my time. This isn’t right. First that demon shows up, and now new monsters. As if we didn’t have enough.”
“The Yiga took orders from him. I bet he’s controlling them both.”
“Could he really be that powerful? Wouldn’t you or I know about him before now if that was true?”
Twilight scowled at the scene below. “It could be Shadow. We haven’t seen him around yet, or the black blooded monsters since we arrived. Either way, these ones might report to someone that we came.”
“Report?” Wild looked skeptically at the ranch hand. “Can your spiders talk?”
“Some of them, yes. Why not?”
“Twi, those monsters don’t exactly look smart enough to carry a conversation.”
“You’d be surprised.” He shrugged.
Wild considered in silence a moment, then reached for his pouch. “We need to kill them, quickly.”
“Wild, are you nuts? They’ve probably already passed the message along. If we go now, they'll be waiting for us. We didn’t even loosen those webs.”
“If we bring enough fire from up here, I bet we could break through their webs, then check out the base. We need to scout, right? We can’t do it if they’re in the way.”
“Wild, scouting means watching . Just watching. That’s what we’re doing already. We are not going to dive in and start fighting. We need to tell the others what we’ve found.”
“What about bombs? I can set two off at almost the same time–”
“Did you really not hear Time?”
“Didn’t care to, honestly” Wild narrowed his eyes, “But he did say my era, my rules.”
He snapped open his glider and looked at Twilight. “You coming, or not?” He did not wait for an answer before jumping.
Wolfie ran hard, sliding past a monster camp and racing down the snowy start of the canyon, jumping from bluff to bluff, while his protegee soared high above. Wild looked for where to best get a closer look without being seen. The light snow provided perfect cover as he flew, as did his white snowquill clothes.
Slow and quiet, Wild landed on a small cliff a hundred feet above the webbing, near enough to see the gems on the spiders’ bellies as they searched the clearing. More climbed in and out of the giant pit where Master Khoga, the Yiga Clan’s leader, fell to his death while trying to kill Wild. The Champion wondered for a moment if the spiders might have discovered his remains, but shook the morbid thought away and scanned in the arena-like depression that housed the secret entrance.
He hoped the treasure hunters, Mina and Miles, got out safely before these skulltulas arrived.
“Did you smell anything?” Wild whispered to Twilight when he finally scrambled over to the cliff, switching between wolf and human several times in the process to get down.
“No,” he said, irritation thick in his voice, “We’re too high, and the wind is moving downhill. We shouldn’t be here, Wild. There’s nothing else we can do here.”
“I just need to see the doorway. If we see lights inside, we’ll know there’s a chance they’re here.”
“Wild, I get it, but this is too risky. They might take the rest of us alive, but they won’t hesitate to kill you,” He said, glancing at Wild’s glowing slate. His eyes widened slightly. It was already showing Highland Stable.
Wild was ready to transport at any moment.
“I’m not going to be a coward and just wait around. These guys are my mess, and I’m going to–Hey!”
They disappeared as Twilight moved his hand from the slate to Wild’s arm.
They missed the lick of flames dancing around the hinges of the secret entrance. They missed the doors flying open, and the flames that shriveled and scorched the webs and climbed up them to engulf the skulltulas that had flocked to the intruder at the door.
They missed a name carried on the wind.

2: Digital fan art of the scene from Rusty Quill Gaming episode 51 of Hamid and the fire elemental. The fire elemental, a huge humanoid figure made entirely of flames, is crouching inside a large red crystal and looking down at Hamid. Hamid is standing next to the crystal looking up at the elemental, with one hand resting against the surface of the crystal. The elemental has one hand raised to match Hamid’s. Hamid is tiny in comparison, smaller than the elemental’s hand.
3: Digital fan art of Skraak from Rusty Quill Gaming. Skraak is a bright red kobold with slightly darker spots, wearing a metal breastplate and spikes on his tail. They are gripping a syringe spear with both hands and glaring, and a speech bubble by their head says “Move.” The background is a dark cave tunnel with faint greenish light.
4: Digital fan art of the Garden of Yerlik from Rusty Quill Gaming. It is a wood full of bright blue flowering trees, in a bowl-shaped valley between mountains drawn in shades of purple. In the center of the wood is a patch of blighted, brownish dead trees. The sky is early sunset, in yellow and orange.

5: Digital fan art of Skraak from Rusty Quill Gaming. Skraak is a red kobold, wearing a dark gray cloak and two belts. They are in a tree, holding onto a tree branch in one hand and holding a dagger in the other. He is looking around over his shoulder. It is night, and the sky in the background is dark blue.
6: Digital fan art of a blue veins plant skeleton monster from Rusty Quill Gaming. It is a skeleton with blue vines and bright glowing blue flowers growing out of its torso and head and wrapping around its limbs. In one hand it is holding a small rat with tiny blue plants starting to grow out of it. More plants are growing in small patches around its feet. The background is a dark hallway with more patches of blue plants.
7: Digital fan art of Shoin’s underwater base from Rusty Quill Gaming. The base is a glass dome set on the seabed, supported by metal struts. A glass tube with a walkway spirals around it, ending in a door at the base of the dome. Inside the dome is a round table, a small study area, and a large pipe organ, which glows slightly green.
8: Digital fan art of Grizzop and Vesseek from Rusty Quill Gaming. Grizzop is holding a bow ready but not aimed, and Vesseek is holding a longsword. Grizzop is a dark grey skinned goblin with red eyes. He is wearing a breastplate with an Artemis symbol, a dark green tunic, and brown pants. He has a quiver of arrows on his back. Vesseek is a greenish skinned goblin with orange eyes. They are wearing a sleeveless grey shirt and dark pants. Grizzop is smiling slightly, and Vesseek is grinning.
9: Digital fan art of Zolf Smith from Rusty Quill Gaming. His hands are shown in front of a stormy ocean. In his left hand he is holding a driftwood dolphin on a cord. In his right hand, he is holding a knife, which he is using to cut the cord. The knife has a small letter “S” carved into the handle.
10: Digital fan art of Sasha, Grizzop and Hamid from Rusty Quill Gaming, in Newton’s office. In the foreground, they are walking across the floorboards, and are minuscule compared to the scale of the room. The floorboards are a flat, mostly featureless plain, with a sunbeam making a square of light. In the distance is an apparently massive table leg, carved in a spiral pattern. The group is walking towards the table leg, with Sasha and Grizzop talking while Hamid walks ahead of them.

Warm
Fluffynightkiller week 2023
A small gust of chilly air blew past, causing Nightmare to raise his scarf to better cover his nose and mouth.
The last thing he needed was to get sick.
He had a gig coming up in two weeks, and he had no time for inconveniences.
It was the beginning of Autumn, the leaves had started to change with various hues of gold, reds, oranges, and even still green. The sun had begun to set a little earlier than before, leaving them with beautiful golden rays and pinkish purplish skies.
“Pink..” He whispered to himself. He couldn’t help but smile. The pink hue reminded him of his precious coffee boy. The blush that would cover his entire face when he was flustered and embarrassed.
Often times it would dust his cheeks on mornings after an affectionate night.
However, there was a time Nightmare wondered if Ccino would have a permanent blush on him with Killers suggestive comments.
Nightmare rolled his eyes as he continued his way to their flat.
Killer seemed to enjoy getting a rise out of him and Ccino. Seemed delighted with himself if he could manage to get a reaction.. especially if it involved blushing.
“Hm..” The violet skeleton hummed as he mused to himself.
Killer was one who didn’t blush often. At least that’s what Nightmare felt.
It was hard to get that man flustered or catch him off guard. But when it happened.. Killer had the most beautiful hue of red appear on his cheeks.
Nightmare knew the other would disagree. He always says “It’s just a common color..”
And even if red is a common soul color.. no one has the same shade of red that Killer has.
His is vibrant and bright.
He often had to remind Killer how much he liked his blush. It appears as the time has passed Killer had started to believe him.
Nightmare looked at his hand and remembered how their blushes felt against the palm of his hands.
Being half fire elemental meant he had a higher body temperature than most skeleton monsters, and was able to tolerate heat better than most. Such as being able to touch a hot plate without getting burned or feeling pain.
And yet..
He could feel the warmth of their blushes on his hands..
He never knew something so simple could bring him such happiness.
He talked to his brother about this, and Dream mentioned he experienced the same with Cross.
“Maybe it’s as if we’re feeling their love!”
Dreams voice resonated in Nightmare’s skull. He never believed in none sense like that but.. he would allow himself to believe that one.
