To start off, I just wanna say that Fae (acuar-io) has some absolutely STUNNING sims, it's hard to exactly word it, but their sims are SUPER recognizable, and their saves (Snow flower, Cozy save, etc) are SO nicely edited, so aesthetically pleasing to the eyes 🫶😩

@oshinsimblr is the reason why I started storytelling (even before my simblr time) and why I try and find a story-related reason on why my sims/characters do certain things, her videos are also SO comforting and i love her lovesick series!!! and of course, @minimooberry the whole inspo for this simblr and why I render in blender!

@mattodore and @cinamun are AMAZING simblrs if u want rich storytelling and/or well-thought out characters, River has inspired me to really tear into my characters and give them more personality, and cina just genuinely makes such realistic characters and the tea is ALWAYS hot and simblr aside, she has very good takes >:P

@groovetrys and @circusjuney have been around on my blog and as my mutuals for a LONG time and they really are some of my biggest hype people, lori has an AMAZING legacy going on with her sim, Melody, and u should DEF check it out, and june makes the most amazing clown sims 🥹 theyre always so pretty and STUNNINGGGG

Nat (Missatan) has SUCH a gorgeous sim style, you've heard of them hips dont lie, well her sims' lips dont lie 😩🫦 Virt (Virtualfolk) and Sam's (pearlean) sim styles are SO animated (if that makes sense), they're like eye-candy. Den (claudtrait), like Nat, has a sim style with the most luscious lips and poutiest faces ive ever seen and are just SOO pleasing to look at, like i just feel blessed in the eyes when i see their sims

@yukikocloud 's Apricot save and storytelling is incredibly reminiscent of Bree's posts, and I just LOVE looking at and reading her story posts, this post in particular just absolutely captivated me, I was drawn in and just get so giddy seeing the Apricot save pop up on my dash 🥹

Okay, so this is a small oneshot which I will be posting tomorrow or the day after maybe?? idk it's basically done, just needs one last sweep of editing... tbh it feels kinda weird, I haven't written a short in such a long time, not counting twitter threads and tumblr ficlets ofc (though on that note; I'm prolly gonna start uploading those to ao3 soon as well) also I was dipping in and out of like 5 different wips this week, didn't even touch the mudslide fic in days and I've spent hours just marie kondoing the hell out of my room today, not even checking tumblr let alone writing, so I'm still kind of on the fence about this one but anyway...

They were supposed to go on a date and then a couple more and then at some point, after a few weeks maybe, on one lazy morning they would say it so naturally, like it wasn't even the first time; or whisper it onto each other’s lips after dinner, or maybe, taking a leaf out of Bobby’s book, Buck would run headfirst into danger and throw the words at Eddie, only for him to pick them up and hand them back to him when he came out safely on the other side – but it should’ve happened when they were at least in the same room, not racing to the hospital from two vastly different points of LA.

Eddie was angry at himself. He thought they had time to work this out, to let it work itself out… Buck wasn't even at work, how did this happen when Eddie went to sleep, thinking he had nothing to worry about?

His father stares at him through the flickering dark. A sluggish display of thin purple eyelids and sticky, tangled brown lashes. Simon wonders when that drawn, vacant expression stopped looking so out of place on him, when all the sharp triumph and dynamic bends of his father’s face gave way to the frowning slack of his cheeks, the flat weight of his brow.

Propping himself onto an elbow, his father scratches at the patchy stubble tapering down his neck. “Yeah,” he replies. Lying. Nobody’s been in the kitchen tonight. The stove light is off. And when Simon flicks it on, the only dishes in the sink are his own.

“Okay,” Simon says.

He opens the fridge. An obscene amount of food is crowded inside—tupperware container after tupperware container of hearty, home-cooked meals, loading up the shelves and crispers. (Like sardines in a can, he thinks. Like cars outside a funeral.)  Maple-glazed carrots, shepherd’s pie, peameal bacon, tofu scramble, fried fiddleheads, chicken stew, hashed potatoes, whipped potatoes, scalloped potatoes, baked potatoes, cheesy potatoes—who even needs this many fucking potatoes?

Apparently this is what people do when someone dies.

Leave their shit leftovers at your door.

Simon grabs a half-empty tub of something cold and lumpy from the top shelf before closing the fridge with the side of his foot. He doesn’t remember what he had for breakfast, but the spoon in the sink looks clean enough. “Gran asked about you,” Simon says, cracking the lid off, taking a bite. He frowns at the eggy taste of potato salad. “Wants you to call her. Think she’s pissed.

(Pissed is an understatement. Simon never much understood the turn of phrase if looks could kill until today, when he walked into his mother’s funeral alone. His grandmother’s chin twisted right up when she saw him, the corners of her eyes pinching tight. He thought it to himself right then—if looks could kill.)

His father doesn’t reply.

Simon glances over his shoulder, but he can’t see the couch from here. Just the television, a bit of the coffee table, the shadow of the front door stretched between panes of rain-speckled yellow. Simon toes down the heels of his J&Ms, kicks them aside, one by one, and shuffles back into the lounge room, digging through his bowl for chunks of celery and green onion.

He turns below the archway expecting his father to be asleep again, because that is what Davy Cadwallader does these days. Sleeps in a shallow grave of body sweat and sunken cushions, buried in the wilting memory of where Lucy Salisbury used to curl her feet up watching sitcoms and reading love stories by lamplight.

But instead, Simon finds him with his head between his knees.

Clasping his mouth. 

Heaving.

Choking.

Shaking.

Simon makes a strangled noise (that might have been “Wait!”) (or might have been “Dad!”) (or might have been “Fuck!”) as he rushes to the washroom to trade his potato salad for the empty Chapman’s tub behind the toilet tank.

“Don’t puke!” he shouts, and yanks open the linen cupboard. The door hits the wall and fifty-fucking-thousand plasters fall from the middle shelf like one of those shit spring-loaded snake-in-a-can gags as Simon reaches between bottles of Tylenol and Buckley’s to pry out a fresh roll of paper towel.

“Don’t puke, don’t puke!”

Simon was sixteen the first time he drank himself sick.

It was his birthday—their birthday. His and Syd’s. But the party was for Simon. The better half of their entire junior year showed up, and he wants to say it was fun, but he honestly doesn’t remember much of the party itself besides the glow of the bonfire and Snapple Spiked peach tea and Agatha’s soft mouth.

What he does remember is coming home.

The way the whole world was tilting and creaking around him; the front door, the old floors, the couch springs.

His hands wouldn’t stop shaking, his teeth wouldn’t stop shivering. He was cold and tangled on the inside, blinking full of slow, sleepy dead spots and the humid June dark, wrapped around himself on his side trying to breathe through a vicious, green nausea when his father sat down beside him in his pyjamas, still mussed with sleep.

There’s a blink in his memory—and suddenly Simon is hugging that same Chapman's tub to his stomach and curled against his father’s shoulder and Doctor Who is playing in the background and he’s drunk and embarrassed and asking, “Are you mad? Are you mad? Dad, are you mad at me?”

A hand on his head.

“Hush.” Fingers in his hair. “You'll wake your mother.”

“Are you mad?”

“I'll be mad later.”

“I’m so drunk,” Simon whined.

“I can see that. How’s it feel, hero?”

“Am I going to die?”

His father laughed. “Well, I hope not,” he said. “I’d miss you.”

1. when/how did you discover them? + what was the first song you listened to? - either on the radio or on yt or at work or something like that, sometime in 2015. idk which song exactly but lets be honest, it was prolly stressed out 😅 or one of the other blurryface singles

2. have you been to any concert(s)? - no 😭 i totally would've seen them on the icy tour but they didn't come to my city 😭 but i'm hoping to go to at least one show on the next tour (either vancouver or, failing that, seattle), and hopefully also the DC show with my bestie!!

3. do you remember where you were when trench dropped (if you were a fan by then)? - weirdly, yes! it was like 9pm on october 4th, i was at home and got a spotify notification that twenty one pilots had released a new album. i listened to the first three songs, went "ehh", and stopped there 😅 which, in hindsight, is so tragic bc if i'd held out for just one more song i would've gotten to my blood, which is one of my absolute favourites!

4. favourite thing about the clique? - how smart and kind and inclusive everyone is!! like i know the clique's got it's share of toxic fans, just like any other fandom/community in general, but esp here on tumblr absolutely everyone i've met/interacted with has been sososo friendly and funny and smart and cool <3

5. any memorable/funny/interesting quote (from interviews/bts footage/…) you especially like? - i'm so bad at thinking up stuff like this off the cuff sldjskdljf there's always smth i think of later that i wish i'd said instead. for right now i'm gonna go with "two happy boys" (or any of the "two ____ boys" riffs that they do), as well as every single story abt how they met 😂

6. what would you want to ask/tell them if you got the chance? - FREAKING. SO MUCH. i'd want to thank them for rewarding us for looking deeper and caring more and sticking around. i'd want to tell them how what they've done w the dema/trench storyline is legitimately incredible and groundbreaking and to, in their own words, "never put a ceiling on their dreams". i'd also want to talk to them for roughly 6 hours abt death cab for cutie bc i Need To Know their thoughts abt literally everything sdlfkjsdkfl

7. which tattoo would you like to know the meaning of (if you do)? - i'm honestly fine w not knowing the meaning to any of their tattoos, bc i know they're v personal, but if i could know the meaning of one and have it be totally okay and willingly shared, it would be, for tyler, the symbols tattoo on the side of his forearm, and for josh, the astronaut-getting-beamed-up tattoo on his bicep.

Omd guys it's my twin?!? Anyways oh boy I h-h-HATE that guy... He's so 🤢🤢🤢UGGLY and B-BAD😡😡😡

Okay but in all seriousness bro I adore him more then y'all could know. Well uh ppl who follow this hmmm mysterious anon who I definitely don't know now know what the degree of Clive brain rot I have (can't mention it here but if you know you know). But like

I knew Clive would get me as soon as I found out who he was. So for context, Luke is the reason I started playing the PL series. Anyone who knows me personally would know how me bait Luke is, I am VERY predictable. So when I learned there was this guy who had the grand plan of pretending to be Luke from the future to infiltrate Layton's life I was like oooo boy (also yes I unfortunately didn't get to go into UF blind) . What rlly marked my Clive journey's real start was definitely learning his name. Clive Dove. I got the spoiler of bruvs name from when my dear mutual reblogged q picture of him with the Clive Dove tag on it and I was like "bro... HIS NAME IS CLIVE?!?!?!?". Then the devolvation into madness really started. Uh insert discord screenshots

When it comes to head cannons though I will definitely say we all know Clive is trans fr. When it comes to my specific trans HCs for them I really enjoy transfem Clive (its a comfort hc 4 me) but when I'm doing stuff like officially like my official HCs that I stick closer too transmasc Clive. Why? Layton parallels. My whole life is fighting to make as many parallels between the two as I can mate it's a problem. It's just too interesting to me.

Other HC wise uhhh CLIVE HAS FRECKLES FIGHT ME I love planting subtle inconsistencies between him and Luke sm.

When it comes to drawing Clive I will definitely say I do enjoy drawing him more than Luke namely due to him having a tie😱😱.

My biggest struggle in drawing him prolly uhhh the freckles I curse myself with along with just his color palette ig. I can never decide how dark I want his hair to be. But tbf I do just have inconsistent coloring in my art sooo what can you do.

Other stuff to talk about with this awful man.... OH RIGHT! I'm STILL not over him being British Yuri Lowenthal like bro💀. It's so bad randall is also British Yuri Lowenthal like stawppp💀. Anyone who knows about me and my interests knows that I have a trying relationship with Yuri Lowenthal. If I'd have to pick like my favorite Clive thing... Probably still Sallufix's 'This Hurts' animation holy shit that thing is so good. The fact that tumblr user sallufix is my mutual still baffles me I am so in love with and enchanted by their work like hold shit they are like... The Clive drawer of all time to me. Also uh he made Envicto and I am obsessed with that man to no end no one even knows.

Daycare attendant characters. Especially sideviews of ones with rays.

I love drawing them (as anyone can see lol) but it’s a pain in the ass trying to figure out how to draw them, especially since I’m still kinda trying to figure out how to draw them in my style

20. Something everyone else finds hard to draw that you enjoy?

Uuuuh probably animal anatomy? Ive known lots of people who struggle with it and don’t like drawing it but I find it fun, especially ones I can put in more dynamic poses like cats and ferrets >:)

My only thought so far is to stop Chara. Frisk, who is responsible for resets, could, idk, start cooperating with Sans to stop them for... some reason. I'm still quite uncertain on all that stuff. But, hey, that's prolly my first actually functional idea for an AU, yay! And it would also be a pleasure to draw :)

naw really? yeah i fuckin love sarcasm lol. i struggle to be understood properly when i wanna be, but also i fully embrace the confusion & chaos of communication. i love being an agent of chaos in a way, i love deadpan humor, and a lot of my comedic instinct is "what's the WORST thing i could say right now?". which i guess is part of why i love sunny.

what made you ship it?

LOOK AT THEM!!! okay so maybe a small part of them reminded me of us but like. that's not IT. it's the silent support, the blind faith, the gin prolly giving higuchi a sexuality crisis once she finds out gin isn't a girl,,, it's the late nights in the other's place, it's protecting each other in battle, it's being friends first, it's higuchi loving gin for gin regardless of gender bc she didn't fall for them bc they were a guy or girl or whatever, she fell for their personality.

what are your favorite things about the ship?

dang man. i kind of just answered that lol

but on another note, i think it's the blind faith and trust. you could argue that goes for both gin and higuchi with any of the black lizard, but it feels... idk different with them. it's the i don't have to know everything about you to love you. higuchi thinking she liked akutagawa when really she liked gin (and, really, higuchi just wanted to be respected like him). it's gin respecting higuchi and going out of their way to show it after people disrespect her. it's bonding about being overlooked. it's--

tumblr. i thought it was stupid at first tbh and was like “why what is the point of this” and then i saw exactly One jetru fan art and was like “HAHAHAH NEVERMIND THEY ARE IN LOVE” probably like a year after i watched the show??? no but also this art is what like... made me ship it (by @listless-brainrot <333)

what are your favorite things about the ship?

it’s about finding peace and someone to care for you and someone to care for. someone who understands and is willing to help you care your burden and whose burden you want to help carry too. it’s about finding someone who makes you want to be a kid rather than a solider,,, also they are SO SILLY and i love them in my s.okka hanahaki fic lol

5. What work of yours got more feedback than you expected?

so on the one hand, my danny phantom fics always get a lot of attention and it always leaves me a little surprised, but on the other hand, that fandom is very fic focused, so at the same time it Doesn't really surprise me when i get a lot of kudos for them. what surprises me more is how much other fandoms DON'T comment or bookmark or follow fics lol. i was seriously spoiled with those lol

as for a fic that's gotten more feedback, uhhhh hm. a couple of my dp fics have done better than i thought they would, yeah, but i also have this bleach fic that's in second person that seems to have come across really well, so i guess that one's the most surprising lol

aftershocks has done really well, but that's not surprising considering the talent that went into it, the fact we updated every week, and the word count, but it still baffled me as we were updating it how well it was doing lol

15. What WIP are you taking into next year with you?

definitely my rottmnt separated au (chapter 1 is posted on ao3 as sunset hues, jetpack blues (SHJB)) lol. ive been putting a lot of effort into it, more than i give most of my fics, tho i'm realizing now as i'm working more on planning i may have jumped the gun a bit and posted it a biiit early?? but also i wanted to post it on my birthday so i'm not so concerned about that kdshbfhdsf

when i post chapter 2 (which is basically done except for the final revision i need to give it), i'm gonna reread chapter 1 as well and make sure it's up to date with the minor stuff i left out bc i hadn't nailed down some specifics yet (but dw, it'll be Very minor and won't effect the plot lol)

besides that, i have oneshot prompts i wanna fill out and i have a fic in the works i'm calling Fallout, which is inspired by fall out boy songs (which ive been thinking about since like february/march when "love from the other side" dropped lol)

i also lowkey wanna try to get a fic done for danny phantom's 20th anniversary in april but idk how that's gonna go lol. i'm still very focused on ninja turtles

of my 54 works on ao3 Fluff seems to be my most used tag with 10 times, which is. lowkey a surprise LOL. Hurt/Comfort comes in second with 7 (tied with "not beta read" and a tag for a danny phantom fic event) and Angst is in third with 6 (barring the two that i'm not counting lol)

going by just my rise fics, first place tag goes to Donatello and Leonardo are Twins (TMNT) with 6 of my 8 fics (ao3 says 9, but one of them is aftershocks, which i won't include bc it's a collab) and only reason it's not all 8 is bc i didn't tag it in fics where it's not a main focus lol

i have a lot of stuff i Really enjoyed tbh. there's a fun little action sequence i wrote for a later part of SHJB that i liked (that i'll prolly have to rework a little), there's a few Other parts of my prewritten SHJB stuff i enjoy, there's a bunch of stuff in my rise august fills i really liked...

but i think for a single line/passage, i'll go with this bit from the beginning of my fic what's in a name? (which is also posted here on tumblr!!)

this entire piece was a lot of fun to write and there's some more silly lines in this i really enjoyed but i think this is the one i think about the most, like the exchange directly after this lol

Well... Of scars and fresh blood this is a hurt/hurt fanfiction, no comfort and major character death so. Yeah, kinda angsty?

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I don't have a fic with a happy ending on AO3, I do however have some fics with happy endings on Tumblr, like Hide and Need, but they aren't good at all. You can check on my profile but I hate every single fic I wrote before my Carterwood one.

nope. I mean, Gwen fandom used to be the kindest fandom, everything I wrote, even trashy, was welcomed with a lot of love. After some drama™ happened, I kinda decided to go because... Ugh. I don't like drama. And now I am in a dead fandom, with 2 people and a shoelace (I am the shoelace)

I try. The kind that isn't smut but more spicy romance.

well technically my first first first fanfictions were since I wrote them in French before translating them in English. Then I did translate (from English to French this time) the Path of Poisons (an abandonned multichapter Larissa/oc fic)

curently doing it! with the amazing @tanith-rhea, we're working on Agent Carter season 3 (the first chapter isn't finished yet so... it won't be there until a long time loool)

????? I don't know? I changed a lot my tastes about ships since... Well I'm still young™ so I didn't spend much time in communities, and the ones I was in before were... Straight ships I don't like now. BUT there is this one ship. About a French/Belgium comic no one knows about. That is very specific to two of the books in the series. Nastasia Wardynksa and Francis Blake. Of course I had to ship them. It's a middle school ship so yeah, it's straight, but I still love it. It's one of my comfort ships and there is 0 work about it, I have a whole story about it in my head but won't write it because... why doing it?

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Oh! A LOT of them. Like... prolly all of them, I don't feel like writing these days (actually I want to write but I just don't manage to do it)

"ma chérie fille" as a translation of "my darling girl"... NO. Just NO. it'd be "ma fille chérie", and NO, because it's for your literal CHILD so NO.
