My Proposal for the flag of New Hampshire
Tumblr media
After seeing that boring Times New Roman addition that was just proposed, I started thinking of what I would like the flag to look like.
The white represents the white mountains, and green represents the forests
The white pine in the middle shows New Hampshire's place as part of New England, as well as representing New Hampshire's native Cowasuck Pennacook (children of the white pine)
The seven peaks represent the 7 regions of New Hampshire, with the larger one representing Mount Washington, The tallest mountain on the East Coast.

I want to propose a new version of the typogender flag. The other was very hard on the eyes.
Typogender is a xenogender connected to typos, misspellings, and other text or writing mistakes.

“Like daylight. It’s golden like daylight. You gotta step into the daylight and let it go.”
Omg finally finished! I got very obsessed with the concept of Ed in Daenerys’ braids and couldn’t let it rest after doing the sketch and I’m pretty proud of how it turned out.

A new proposed lesbian flag! Made by morutefawnn on Twitter!
“based this heavily off the sunset flag, but felt like making it a wee bit more inclusive for people such as intersex and asexual lesbians :3” -Maker of the flag (morutefawnn)
Tumblr media
“Why did doll make a new lesbian flag?”
> To include more lesbians and people who identify as the lesbian label.
“What’s the flags name?”
> there is no proposed name. The creator suggested pastel sunset flag or soft sunset. I suggest grapefruit flag.
“What do the colours mean / What’s the hex codes ?”
#FE9E86 = independence, gender nonconformity
#F6C09C = butch lesbians, nonbinary lesbians
#FEE7BB = lesbian joy, intersex lesbians
#FFFFFF = everyones unique lesbian experience
#FFB2DE = love for those who arent exclusively men
#F091ED = femme and transfem lesbians
#CA69EB = masculine lesbians, ace/aro-spec lesbians

S3 plot line where Ed and Stede keep trying to propose to each other but it keeps going wrong

while we’re all predicting how Ed and/or Stede will propose, may I submit:
Both Ed and Stede have individually decided they want to do some sort of over-the-top production for the proposal (Stede because he enjoys it, Ed because he knows Stede will enjoy it) and they both, unknowingly, plan it for the same day.
And, I cannot stress this enough, the entire crew needs to be involved.
I want half of them helping Ed plan his proposal and the other half helping Stede. I want Oluwande to try and distract Ed while Stede is setting stuff up, meanwhile Fang and Frenchie are searching high and low for Ed because they need his guidance in how to prepare. I want Pete helping Ed and Lucius helping Stede, but both of them only refer to it as “the proposal” to one another so they falsely believe they’re talking about the same one and everything gets all mixed up. I want Jim and Archie to row to shore to find party supplies and decorations for Ed, and run into Olu and Zheng who are doing the same for Stede, and both pairs are overly suspicious and secretive for no reason. I want every part of Ed’s plan to be somehow undermined or ruined because of Stede’s plan, and vice versa.
I need it to be ridiculous, because that’s them. I need it to be an absolute disaster where neither of them actually gets to ask. I need it to end in a quiet, intimate conversation, and a “of course I’ll marry you, you nut.”

This morning's edition of "why OFMD deserves a season 3" - a joyous parallel to Ed hiding the red silk and the cake topper.
When Ed hides the silk and the cake topper in his pocket right next to his heart, it's with a sense of shame. Ed is embarrassed to even let Stede see the silk at the start of s1e5, like he's afraid Stede will be angry with him for having something that's ""above"" him like that. And when he hides the cake topper from Izzy in s2e1, it's very similar, a feeling that he's hiding something he is not ""allowed"" to have. He's keeping the longing close to his heart but he's terrified to let anyone see it's there.
So imagine, in s3, Ed finding a pretty ring. And he knows he's going to give it to Stede - maybe he's planning on proposing, maybe he's waiting for Stede to pop the question first. And he takes it out often to look at it, and there's longing, yes, but also anticipation, because he's beginning to accept that's something he can have. When he hides it, it's not out of shame anymore, it's out of not wanting to spoil the surprise.
Just...Ed turning the shame and fear into joy and celebration.

i wanted to take a stab at actually redesigning the progress flag to accommodate the intersex circle instead of just kind of plastering it on there, so here are the designs i came up with
i created a version that keeps the chevron, but frankly i think the version with the corner stripe looks a lot better, composition wise. i think a circle just kind of looks out of place and awkward inside of a chevron, so the corner stripe is an attempt to frame it more naturally.
i decided to give the purple circle a yellow border, instead of just adding a yellow stripe. my reasoning for this is because i think it makes it hard to figure out where your eyes are supposed to go with the yellow stripe. the progress flag is a lot of very different colors at once, which is hard to make work. i think the version without the intersex stripe works mainly because you have the black line as a sort of divider, with the super saturated rainbow to its right and the pastels to the left, but when adding the yellow stripe to the pastel section, it breaks up the composition and confuses the eye on where it should focus. making the yellow just a border around the purple helps to minimize the drastic contrast, and i think generally is just easier on the eyes. i also adjusted the shade of brown to be redder, basically just trying to even out the tones. ive noticed a lot of progress flags use a shade of brown that just doesnt work with any other color on the flag, so i always try to adjust it to fit better when i portray this flag. be sure to let me know what you think of the flag. i really want to use the intersex-inclusive progress flag, but the proposed one has always ground my gears a bit.
