i get so mad when people dont tag flash warnings because "they need to prepare for the real world"

like are you stupid. flash warnings and trigger warnings are two different things. i dont even agree with not tagging trigger warnings but thats a conversation for another day

having epilepsy is someones real world. theyve lived through it. the fucking "real world" you speak of literally has flash warnings!!! those little intro cards at the beginnings of movies?? flash warnings. netflix also gives flash warnings on the content warning cards that appear in the corner of the screens. youre just being ignorant

you could send someone into a life threatening seizure, or at the very least, a seizure at all. someone might die because you were too fucking dim to put the two letters "FW" on the beginning of a post.

seizures are not fun. you should not put someone through that because you're a lazy asshole who has no remorse or empathy.

Begging people to add flash warnings to shit I am so fucking tired my eyes fucking hurt because I just saw like a tiny bit of that Void video by Melanie Martinez and it is FULL of flashes. I had to exit the video immediately. I already have shitty fucking eyesight and am prone to migraines.

Not only that, but I expected better from them. On a lot of things, but especially this. Disabled people exist.

On top of that, I’ve seen a few gifs from the newest movie Across the Spiderverse and they are ALSO FULL OF FLASHES. Even worse than that Void video. Holy shit my eyes.
