i love those old geezers so much okay

so the pens, coming off the three cups/crosbymalkin era, still play with a pretty straightforward forechecking style -- they're up there in hits/game and pretty good with the "first pass" (that pass once regaining possession, from defender to forward, out of the defensive zone.)

their major advantages: sid and geno. like, for real, that's THE number one reason. intangibles are hard to measure, but it's well known that the pittsburgh locker room is a very welcoming environment, one players want to stay in into their old age. which is why everyone in there is a million years old. also, the two of them (plus kris letang!!) have aged as players VERY well into their mid-thirties and are showing pretty much no signs of slowing down or stopping, all three of them almost exactly as effective as playdrivers as they were in the championship years. sid is on pace for nearly 100 points!!! he's 35!!!! that's simply not done.

their major weaknesses: their bottom six is not good, and their goaltending is inconsistent as hell. i think their bottom six has changed up a bit since the deadline and might be better now, but either way it is a very very weak set for a contending team. little goalscoring and negative defensive effect. also, their starting goalie is injured often and their backup is straight up bad.

the penguins: power of love for your captain and city. pros: they love each other :) cons: why is every single one of you thirty years old with two kids

was thinking about devil’s flower again and like what really gets me 🤬🤬🤬 about not having a full release of devil’s flower is that it wasn’t a one and done appearance???

for his hypnosis wave radio, jyushi was promoting the song so we again heard a sample of it and in the staff report of his radio episode, the reporter went out of their way to mention jyushi was handing out cds of the song and it felt they were talking to an upcoming star there was further narrative???????????? and yet????????

The Lost Wild Kratts Games Are Back [Sort of]

Most of you know that the old Wild Kratts games were taken down almost 4 years ago when Adobe was killing off Flash. Thankfully most of them were restored to Flashpoint, but with the exception of 4 games, being Habitat Rescue, Dolphin Dive, Flower Flyer, and the collection of the Creature Roundup mini-puzzles.

Flower Flyer, Dolphin Dive, and the puzzles are unfortunately yet to be recovered, but today, there has been some update:

A friend of mine who worked on Flashpoint contacted the developer of the old games for the files. The developer responded with the files for Habitat Rescue (specifically the 3 levels you had to play in the supergame) and Dolphin Dive: And now those games have been curated to Flashpoint!

(The first screenshot is of the archived version of Habitat Rescue (I didn't play it, the person who worked at Flashpoint gave me this screenshot to confirm the games' return):

The games aren't playable in Flashpoint yet, but they will be in the next update coming next year! After 3 years, the Wild Kratts games are returning! Rejoice WK fans!
