There is a lot of focus put on Subaru's willingness to sacrifice himself for the people he cares about. What a lot less focus is put on is the fact that he isn't actually that big of an outlier when it comes to having a self-sacrificing attitude. Lots of characters in Re:Zero have people that they are willing to sacrifice anything to protect.

In fact, one of the best examples of this are the people closest to Subaru, the Emilia camp:

Beatrice would die for Subaru.

Rem would die for her sister or for Subaru.

Ram would die for her sister, and thought she likely would never admit it, she would put her life at risk for most, if not all, of the rest of the Emilia camp as well.

Garfiel would die for the Emilia camp, because he's the shield, and shields are meant to stop other people from getting hurt.

Otto would die for the Emilia camp, because they're the first people that aren't his family and beast that are actually close to him.

Emilia would die for Subaru, the Emilia camp, and most people that she knows, due to a combination of her kindness and all of the negative feelings she holds toward herself.

Everyone in the Emilia camp simultaneously cares for their friends so much and has too low of an opinion of themselves, making them all very willing to help each other even if it is at great personal cost to themselves.

You're still allowed to be repulsed by certain actions even if said action is done under a different attraction. Just because a friend claims they want to kiss platonically doesn't mean you magically have to be favorable towards kissing suddenly because it's not under a romantic or sexual context. Just because someone claims an action is under a form of attraction you aren't repulsed to doesn't mean you suddenly aren't repulsed by the action. You can still be repulsed by kissing or quite literally anything else even if it's not done in the original context that you found it repulsive in. You deserve to have your boundaries respected and don't let people try to break those boundaries with "loop holes"

my honeymoon rhinitis is gonna make it impossible for me and my gf to record any wavs without me interrupting her with my sneezes when it’s not my turn to be doing the sneezing because her sneezes turn me on so fast that every time she sneezes i sneeze three times in return 🫠🫠🫠🫠 it’s so normal for us that whenever she sneezes and i have a fit after, she apologizes for sneezing, because she knows i’m sneezing because of her (and obviously i remind her that you Never have to apologize for that ever)

any shading tips?

AH I LOVE SHADING AND RENDERING let me see what i can dig up from my brain for you

i say....... single colour blend mode layer is a good starting point for shading but i'd also manually pick colours to make the shadow more dynamic, if that makes sense..

left has a yellow-y hard light layer as its only shading, and right has the hard light layer alongside some colours i added myself

also, i like to mess with the saturation and hue when i add the extra colours.. it adds depth (life??) to the shadows that you wouldnt get with a flat colour

IN ADDITION TO THIS desaturating your colours makes them look lighter, and hightening the saturation makes them seem darker! i play with this a lot it's fun

not shown here is also using completely different colours than the one you're shading, like green/teal for blue, or red for purple! this is especially helpful when shading grays and whites

basically get funky with your colours and try shit until you find a formula that works for you!!!! this is just what i do and im a self-taught nerd so

i believe that bootstrap paradoxes / stable time loops are inherently religious. if something exists as an effect without cause, if something has been there because it has always been there, if any surrounding events would shift around it to accomodate its always-being-there, if something sprung into existence out of the void because it always had to have sprung into existence, if something exists for no reason and with no apparent explanation once you begin to unravel the chain of events that supposedly lead to its arrival, then that something can be understood as none other than the work of God. Like loop's favorite activities are being vague as fuck and foreshadowing. So it's entirely possible that loop starts saying star to mean like. Actor (star of the show, the star of a play and stuff like that). And they just like. Answered that at least half honestly just bc siffrin would be like "? What are you blinding talking about" and the true meaning would fly over his head bc he's still thinking about stars (celestial bodies). + it would add to a lot of stuff loop says to you not really being lies like you might think on a first impression

i truly do find it silly when ppl dont grasp that u cannot act like the narcissistic and self-absorbed behavior thats present in lannisters contradicts deeply rooted and intense self-hatred or low self-esteem. like the former doesnt at all dispute the latter lol it showcases it more than anything

Batman's ships with his various Rogues are very interesting to think about (lots of quality material there for both character analysis and just fun) but simultaneously you have to grapple with (or ignore) the canon abuse/murder/kidnapping/torture/trauma some of the Rogues have wrought upon Bruce's family. I'm starting to really get into BruHarvey (for so many great reasons), but holy hell in canon Harvey was once the killer of Jason's dad, and definitely beat the shit out of Dick (amongst other things).

Still a great ship though.

One thing in GGG I keep thinking about is how the devs said King goes by she/her and how after you meet her in game she's referred to with she/her yet throughout the game before that point she's only ever referred to w they/them, even by characters who know her personally.

Like that in combination with most depictions of her being vague and obscuring her face feels like narrative framing that adds to this image of her as this mysterious supposed villain who had a sudden turnaround betrayal for no apparent reason and removes her personhood.
