You know, one of the sweetest, bleakest things I remember reading somewhere on here is “the love was there and it mattered.”

@starpeace has this gorgeous post saying just that: how tragedies become even more bittersweet and cathartic in acknowledging that love cannot save someone, but can only inspire one to change their life for themselves? Beautiful. Perfect.

Because love has a shape that’s hard to define. Never rigid. Pliable, like gold. It can’t be forced, and it can’t force anything to move. Can’t push or shove. It’s not solid. But it’s there. And it can’t reshape any part of the past, but it’s presence can be seen. Felt.
