well, I can't say I expected the new chapter to feature Idia (metaphorically) going to (metaphorical) hell, getting a pep talk from his (metaphorical) Phantom brother which helps him finally move on once and for all from his brother's death, and (metaphorically) overblotting again to fight his way back out of (metaphorical) hell, only to have his darkest fear (non-metaphorically) come true when his mom goes through his computer and finds all his secret files. but I am glad it did!

also this is all a flashback for the purpose of explaining to our group what the heck is going on (whether or not any of it is getting through is another matter)

Like I knew about the author notes, but I didn't knew Spock referred to Kirk as his T'hy'la this tenderly and sad???? Hello??? The way he separates Earth from Kirk???? Like Earth as ppl he met, the enterprise crew, his mother heritage and then Kirk as something more important like idk... HIS T'HY'LA????? The way he says PERMIT as if everytime he thought about Kirk he thought it was something wrong???? Miss me with that brother bullshit what the hell is this holy fuck

man someone left a comment on one of my buckbucky fics today that said 'i can feel how much you love them through your writing' and i literally cried lol. why is that like. the sweetest/most fulfilling/validating thing you can say to a fic writer (who is way too deeply invested in his fandom of choice lmfao)? i've never gotten a comment worded like that before and it was so unexpected, i didn't realize how meaningful the sentiment would be to me wahhskdgjg <333
