Continuation of this *Allora and Kaidan are teaching Lucien horse riding lessons out in a field. Inigo is left on Taliesin Watch Duty, not too far away.* Inigo: So, what do you like to do for fun, aside from murdering people? Taliesin: I quite think I've mentioned once or twice that I was ordered to do that. I don't think anyone follows orders for fun. Inigo: Fair point. But really, surely there are some normal habits you enjoy. I quite like rhyming with Lucien on the road, or singing with Allora, and training with all three of them. Taliesin: She sings? She doesn't strike me the type. But I quite enjoy the finer things in life. Reading, for one. I hope to write a book someday myself. I enjoy training and the learning the various uses of weapons. Inigo: Hehe. Taliesin: Are you laughing at me for my interests? Inigo: No, no. I am sorry. I am merely laughing that, in any other instance, I believe you would have been very fast friends with all of us. Taliesin: I'm not so sure about that. Inigo: No? Perhaps you do not know about us enough just yet. I know Kaidan would want to spar with someone else at an equal level, despite how much he enjoys training Allora. And I know she and Lucien love reading. I think Allora has mentioned she has written stories before. I just feel like you would have rounded us out fairly nicely. That is all. Taliesin: What an interesting notion... *watches as Kaidan is forced to catch Lucien as he falls off Merryweather with Allora trying to not laugh and check up on them* ...Is it your turn to threaten me? Inigo: Did you want me to? I had assumed they were doing well enough. Taliesin: No. Thank you. And... for the pleasant conversation. It's nice to not be threatened. I knew I liked cats for a reason. Inigo: Do not push it. Taliesin: Right.

Lewis Hamilton and Building Snowmen [no warnings]

Day 4 of the Vetteltea Advent Calendar

Note: This is for you, @f1version. Steph is a complete legend in the way that you’ve loved Lewis for as long as I have, if not more so, and we had this beautiful realisation about young Kimi Raikkonen being a complete crush. This is also the first time I’ve written a full Drabble for Lewis so I hope I did some justice!

Willow’s face was squinted in concentration, her tiny tongue poked out as her fingers moved to press the rock from her front garden into the molded face of her snowman. She adjusts in your hold, silently thankful when your own hand reaches out, using a little more pressure on the lump which resembles the snowman’s eye. 

She had been focusing on her wintery project for the best part of an hour; after a desperate call from your sister in law, rapidly explaining how due to the weather conditions, Willow and Kaiden’s school was closing,  you and your boyfriend had agreed to drive straight from the airport where you had just touched down to pick them up whilst she stayed at work, promising to leave as soon as possible. 

You were tired, unbelievably jet-lagged, but that didn’t matter when the two children saw you pull up outside of the school in that signature Mercedes, both of them leaping onto each of you, shocked it had been their adorned Aunt and Uncle to come and collect them. Whilst you helped them to adjust their coats, hats and gloves, Lewis strapped in the car-seats, settling both of them into the back and driving back to the family home. 

It had meant to be a surprise; the two of you were supposed to arrive that evening, surprise the family at dinner. However, plans changed, which led to the two children in the back begging to stop at the park so they could go and play in the snow. A single plea from both of them had caused their uncle to change direction, parking in a quiet spot and letting the four of you go to explore the snow laden park. 

The two younger ones had been dressed appropriately, whereas you both looked insane; you, wrapped up in Lewis’ coat whilst he opted to put on two heavier jumpers, hoping that would be enough to keep him warm. 

The park was a little busy, many families from the school deciding to do the same thing as you and Lewis had done. Children dotted around the park, playing in the snow, tumbling down the hill in excitement. Your eyes had flickered over to where your boyfriend and nephew stood, now focusing on their own creation. 

A small tug on your arm pulls you back to Willow, now reaching for the hat which sat atop of your head. You finally caught up to what she was attempting, grinning as you passed it down to her, letting her tiny hands place the cap atop of the snowman’s head. She lets out a small giggle, before giving you a thumbs up, letting you know that her masterpiece was finished, just in time for when her brother and uncle walked over. 

“What have you two been doing then, huh?” Lewis is quick to speak first, his dark eyes flickering over the snowman he’d seen the two girls working on. He begins to notice the details; the dark eyes made from coal, a green leaf wrapped around each stick-arm to represent gloves, the biggest giveaway is the Mercedes cap you had been wearing.

“Is that me?” He laughs, heart warmed by the fact they had attempted to craft him. “I love it!” He leans forward, wrapping both of you into his arms, pressing a kiss to each of your foreheads. “I know why you’re always so good at drawing me pictures now!” 

Kaiden by this point, was tugging on your arm. “Come on, you gotta come and see us now!” He insists, his tiny body attempting to drag you across the snow. 

Stood just a few meters away from Willow’s Snow-Uncle, was another snowman. This one was smaller, squat, with four legs and a giant head. You can’t help the grin which falls from your lips when you notice the scarf wrapped around its neck, your boyfriend holding the remaining length up as a leash. 

“Hey, it’s Roscoe!” You laugh, Willow giggling too as she climbs from your grasp, taking over from holding the leash where Lewis had once done. He soon settles next to you, wrapping his arms around you gently, head resting on your shoulder in comfort as the two of you watch the children pretend to feed Snow-Roscoe treats. 

“I want one.” Lewis mumbles, out of ear-shot for the two younger members of the party.

“Another Roscoe?” You tease. “We can get another puppy-”

“You know what I mean.” He’d grinned back, pressing a kiss to your lips softly. It’s something the two of you had discussed for a while now; the idea of beginning to grow a family with the man you loved always gave you butterflies; even if the two of you weren’t even married, it was something that you had discussed. You wanted three; all with his eyes, his smile and compassion. 

“Look!” Kaiden draws the two of you away from one another, pointing in the direction of where the trees overlaid one another, creating a pathway down to the playground, the giant slide now clear of now from the endless use. “Everyone is sliding down, can we?” You don’t even get a chance to answer, both Willow and Kaiden running in that direction.

You’re the first to follow, Lewis taking a moment to see the smile blossom onto your face from the escapades of his niece and nephew. It was something that all those years ago had made him realize how much he loved you; when he came home from picking up his sister and saw you on the couch, deep into reading them both a story they had decided on. 

Cold fingers lace back together, both of you walking behind the two children, Lewis’ thumb absentmindedly rubbing over your fingers. It warms his heart, hoping but knowing it would only be a few days until he could run his hand and feel a silvery engagement ring under his touch.

Four months… four fucking months 

That was the only thing going through Kiyana’s mind the next morning as she laid in bed. Four Months. He had thrown away 23 years for four months. Sighing, she sat up and grabbed her phone checking for messages, rolling her eyes at the 27 text messages from Josh. With each message she could tell that he was drunk. 

Getting out of bed, she carefully cleaned up the glass from the broken picture framed, then groaned when she saw the hole in the wall from the alarm clock she threw. Add that to her list of things to do today.

After getting dressed in one of Josh’s shirts and some gray sweatpants, she walked downstairs and into the living room, rolling her eyes at Josh’s passed out body on the couch, a half drunk bottle of Hennessy on the floor by his side. “Pathetic” she muttered as she walked into the kitchen and sat down at the table, opening up her Macbook to search for a good divorce lawyer. 

After searching and saving some numbers Josh shuffled into the kitchen and sat down in the chair next to her. She said nothing to him as he peered into her laptop. 

“Divorce attorneys? Key, come on. You being serious right now?”  Kiyana looked at him like he had three heads. This man really done lost his mind. 

“What part of you cheated do you not understand? It’s not like before when you missed Kaiden’s second birthday or our wedding anniversary. You stepped out on our marriage during one of the most vulnerable times of my life.  I do not want to talk to you. I do not want to even be in the same room as you, but you just don’t seem to get that.” 

“Baby-”  

“Just stop. Please.” She sighed, getting up from the table and trying to walk out of the kitchen but he stopped her by grabbing her arm and pulling her closer to him. 

“I want to fix this Kiyana.”  She shook her head, 

“There’s no fixing this Josh.” She said softly, pulling her arm out of his grip and walking out of the kitchen

After getting her kids back from Talisua’s  house, Kiyana tried to be cordial and tried to pretend like everything was normal for the sake of her kids but everytime Josh came near her she wanted to smack him in his face. 

So for the rest of the day, she steered clear of him. Everytime he came into a room that she was in she immediately left it. She couldn’t escape him while making dinner though, and he knew that. She groaned quietly when he strolled into the kitchen and sat at the island counter with their oldest son Kamari who was six who was playing with his action figures. 

Josh had tried to talk to Kiyana only stopping when she sent a deadly glare his way. When Kamari asked why she was ignoring his daddy she had come up with some lame excuse that she and Josh were playing the quiet game. 

Later that night after putting Kamari and Kaiden to bed, Kiyana was sitting on her bed, rocking Kairo to sleep after giving him a bottle when Josh knocked softly on the bedroom door. “I have an early flight tomorrow, Key. I already said bye to Kamari and Kaiden.” He said, knocking softly again.  “Please I just wanna see Kairo.. And you” She rolled her eyes and moved off the bed to open the door for him.

She said nothing as she stepped to the side to let him enter the room. She was tempted to knock him upside the head when he walked past her but she refrained herself. 

“Thank you.” He whispered, taking Kairo out of her hands.  “I’m only doin’ two house shows this weekend so i’ll be home after Raw on Monday.” He let out a frustrated sigh when she ignored him. “Is this how it’s gon’ be Key? You ignoring me?” 

“Yes, until I can find a place of my own.” That stopped him in his tracks. He made sure Kairo was sleeping before he placed him down in his bassinet and walked over to Kiyana. 

“Whatchu’ mean a place of your own? You movin’ out?”  He gritted his teeth when she ignored him again. “So I make one mistake and you don’t even want to try to work things out?”

“One mistake that took you four months to confess. A mistake that if it was me, you wouldn’t of hesitated to file for a divorce, but since it’s you I’m suppose to just say fuck it and continue to be with you? No fuck that and fuck you!”  She whispered/shouted. Mindful of Kairo. 

“We don’t have to get a divorce Kiyana. We can go to therapy or counseling.” He tried to grab her hands but she pushed him away. “Key, we can talk it out like we always do.” She let out a sarcastic laugh.

“This doesn’t even compare to anything we’ve ever been through. For twenty-three years I stood by your side.” She seethed, pointing a finger at him. “When you quit your job and went to Houston with Eddie, I followed you so that you could train and we could still be together and when you hurt your knee before you got signed  and needed surgery, I got a second job just so you could pay for the surgery. I had two jobs and was in the middle of nursing school but I did it for you.” 

Josh could only stand there and stare at her. He knows he fucked up and he wishes he could go back in time to not fall into temptation. 

“And the worse part.” She let out a watery laugh, wiped the tears from her face “The last four months of my pregnancy were horrible, you know what I was going through- from losing my father to being hospitalized two weeks before Kairo was born and you still went and had an affair.” 

Josh could only stand there and stare at her. He knows he fucked up and he wishes he could go back in time to not fall into temptation. 

Just hearing how much pain and heartbreak he caused he made him break down. He pulled her into his arms, and held on to her tightly. He just kept repeating how sorry he was. It was all he could say. 

She pushed him away from her and walked over to the bed, getting in it, she turned the lamp on the side table off before laying down. “Shut the door behind you.” 

He stood there for a while, before sighing “I love you Kiyana.” He said before walking out of the room.

Kaiden (kay-den)

We just arrived in Tokyo after our Pre Olympics training camp in Nara. Even though I slept the entire time we were traveling, I'm still exhausted, so it's a good thing our coaches offered us a day off tomorrow. I'm ecstatic to be participating in the Olympics. I'm not sure if I'll start any games, but I'm happy to be a substitute when my team needs me. My seniors are incredible; they have supported me when I was first called up to the senior team. This Olympics, all I care about is gaining experience with my teammates.

“Hey Kai, let’s go explore the village with the others!” my ‘mom’, Chloe Logarzo, said touching my shoulder to divert my focus away from stowing my belongings

“But I still have a lot of things to put away and besides I’m really tired. Do I really have to go with you guys?” I answered her while pouting and scrunching my eyebrows together.

“You’re cute, almost gave in. But you know we’re leaving the village after a few days because we’re gonna transfer to another venue for the final group game right? Don’t take everything out of your bags, you're the only one that’s gonna have a hard time.” 

“Okay, I guess my signature pout did not work.” I said with a shrug of my shoulders. I straightened my face and nodded, indicating that I would be joining them.

Chloe tugged me towards the lift entrance with her right arm across my shoulders. We went downstairs and waited outside our apartment for our other teammates so that we could explore the village together.

“Hey bitches!” Sam Kerr yelled at us while obnoxiously flailing both of her hands. Steph Catley tried to put Sam's hand down because a number of people were looking at her; while Emily Van Egmond slapped her mouth. Soon after, Ellie Carpenter and Caitlin Foord trailed behind the three of them.

“Where are the others?” Chloe asked the five of them after observing that no one was following them anymore.

“They said they’ll follow behind.” Ellie, who was engrossed in her phone, answered. I went up to Ellie to see what she was up to because the other four women continued bickering as we were walking.

“What’re you doing?” I asked Ellie, leaning in close enough to see her phone screen. 

“On Bumble trying to look for hot Olympic athletes.” Ellie replied in hushed tones, fearful that the older women would hear her. I just chuckled and wrapped my arms around her shoulders.

“Don’t curse in front of the kids!” Ellie and I heard Emily say behind us scolding Sam. 

“You guys know we’re not kids anymore right? I’m like 19 and Ellie’s 21.” I said. 

“But you’re still our baby!” Steph stated, and I just rolled my eyes as she said it. I'm not sure if I enjoy it or not that they continue to treat me like a child. It can work in my favor sometimes because they do what I want, but when I want to do 'adult things,' they always become protective for some reason.

"Yeah, right. Please, let's go eat first; I'm starving. I think the last meal I ate was breakfast." I remarked, dragging Ellie after me as I hurriedly proceeded towards the dining hall, oblivious to the group of athletes from various countries who were walking around us.

"Do you know how to get to the dining hall?" Ellie inquired from beside me, her right hand now held in my left. 

I looked back at her while still walking and said, “I’m sure it’s this- ow!” I crashed on someone's back and came to a halt; Ellie almost collided with me since I was dragging her.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going," I apologized to the girl. 

“It’s alright. I also wasn’t aware of my surroundings.” she replied with a smile. She caught a sight of my hands intertwined with Ellie's, which I noticed. She looked up and smiled at Ellie and Ellie returned one back.

“Uhm, do you possibly know the way to the dining hall?” I awkwardly asked her since I think she was also on her way there. 

“Yeah! I'm on my way there. Do you want to walk with me?" she asked me and Ellie. I turned around to check whether Chloe and the others were following us, but I was dismayed to see that they weren't. I returned my gaze to Ellie, who was watching the person I had collided with. I tugged on her hand to see whether she agreed to go with the stranger. Ellie gave me a little nod and let go of my hand.

“Sure! I can’t see our teammates behind us and we don’t want to get lost. We should just meet them there." I replied, gazing down at her a little because I was a few inches taller. We began going in the direction of the dining hall, with her leading the way. Ellie was standing right alongside me, observing the woman in front of us.

"What sport do you guys play?" she inquired, her gaze returning to us as she listened to my response.

"Footy for Team Australia." I said, peering into her light brown eyes.

Before responding, she returned her gaze ahead of her. “Oh! So you're on the same team as Sam Kerr?" I was taken aback when I heard that, but not for long because I knew our skipper is a well-known football player all over the world. Nonetheless, I asked how she knew Sammy.

“Yeah, how’d you know her?” She looked me in the eyes once more before responding,

"My cousin’s also a football player. I know Sam since I've watched a couple of games." I nodded and didn't press the issue any further because I realized we were getting close to the hall.

"This is it," she said as we approached the doors. "Are you guys waiting for your teammates to arrive before you come inside? I think mine are already here.” She questioned and informed me at the same time.

"We should, but I still don't know your name or what event you're participating in. I'd like to support you." I told her with a smile.

She smiled brightly at me. "My name is Raegan, I swim for Team USA." she said, shaking my hand. 

"Oh, Team USA!" I exclaim. "I’m Kaiden, and this is Ellie." Ellie extended her hand to Raegan to shake. 

"It's great to meet you, Raegan, and thank you for accompanying us to the hall. You'll undoubtedly have a tough time against Team Australia, but I'll be rooting for you." 

"That's cute," she remarked with a playful smirk. "We'll see about that." Before entering the hall she looked back at Ellie and me and said, “It was also nice to meet you guys too!"

“Ells, why were you like gawking at Raegan?” I looked back at Ellie and questioned her after Raegan went into the dining hall.

“Girl I was not gawking at her,” she answered with an eye roll. “She looks familiar. I can’t tell where I saw her before though.” Ellie’s phone rang after she told me why she was looking at Raegan.

“Hey, Cait.” I heard Ellie say, letting me know that it was Caitlin who was calling her.

“Yeah, just in front of the right-side entrance.” I was trying to look for them while Ellie was talking to Caitlin. As I spotted Emily’s short ponytail I raised my hands so they could see us. Chloe spotted us first and ran towards me.

“Why didn't you two wait for us? What would happen if you both got lost? " Chloe questioned us right away. 

"It's fine, Chlo, and we met someone on the way here. She helped us in getting here without getting lost." I tried to hide my smile but failed miserably because Chloe saw and teasingly smiled at me. I looked at her sternly and signaled her to keep her mouth shut.

"Just for now, Chlo?" I pleaded with her. She gave me a nod of her head. I adore Chloe for this reason. She simply understands what I'm thinking and feeling, and she always respects my decisions. She's a little protective of me, but I don't mind. We went inside together after we had all gathered at the entrance to eat.

Raegan (ray-gan)

Oh my gosh. Did I just meet Kaiden fucking Moore? The Kaiden Alexandre Moore (yes I know her middle name), the girl I've had a crush on for the past year? I believe I did, and I'm currently floating on cloud nine. I'm not sure how I kept my calm as we were talking and heading towards the dining hall together! 

When I walked into the hall, I dialed my best friend and teammate Emma's number, and she answered on the fifth ring. “Oh my gosh! Where are you? I just met-oh my gosh I can’t do this over the phone!” I said when she picked up.

"We're near the Filipino food bar because we figured you'd want to eat Filo food. Who did you meet, though? " Emma calmly said, as I examined the map on the side of the doors to determine where they were.

“I’ll tell you in person, oh my gosh I don’t even know how I managed my cool. Can you stand and wave your hand? I'm on the escalator and I can already see the food bar, but not you guys." As I approached the top of the escalator, I surveyed the hall for Emma, who was standing and waving her hand to attract my attention. I dashed up the remaining stairwells till I reached her.

“You know you could’ve walked right?” I heard Emma exclaim as I approached her. “I-i just met Kai-Kaiden Moore.” I told Emma while catching my breath. I saw her scrunch her eyebrows but smile at me after she realized what I said. Emma drew me down to a chair and demanded that I tell her everything that had happened during our encounter. I told her about how Kaiden had bumped my back and how I tried to hide my surprise when I realized it was my crush who had done it.

After informing Emma what had happened, I took her to the food bar with me so I could get something to eat. “I was about to scream at her when she bumped into me because I was still upset at you for leaving me in our room. But oh my gosh I don’t know what to say. I didn't expect to meet her here.” I told Emma while we waited in line at the food bar.

“I’m sorry about that. I didn't want to wake you up because you were sleeping soundly and I didn't want to dist—wait, don't you follow her on Instagram? " Emma inquired, interrupting her explanation. Gosh, she’s so random sometimes.

"Yeah, I follow her. Why? What's wrong with that?" I replied. "By the way, she was with Ellie when I saw her, and they were holding hands." 

"What's wrong with that? Rae! Are you kidding?!? She'll think you're odd because you pretended you didn't know her. You need to unfollow her or it'll be awkward the next time you see each other." she reasoned, “And Ellie? Ellie who? Carpenter?”

"If we see each other again and yeah, Ellie Carpenter, their hands were like, linked." I remarked, a bit confused and sad. I took my phone from my back pocket, went to Kaiden’s profile but contemplated on unfollowing her or not.

"Well, the odds of you seeing her again are high, you know, considering Kelley's playing against them; aren't you planning to watch that game?" Emma inquired as I surveyed the food bar for possible options. I saw grilled pork and it made my mouth water, but I decided to go with the fried tilapia because I had a race coming up in a few days. Of course, I got some rice with it and a delicious squash soup.

“Yeah, I am. Our teammates are only swimming heats that afternoon and we would be done with our event before the 27th so I decided to come and support my dear cousin. Do you want to come with me?” I answered Emma after I got out of line with my food.

“Are you sure you’re coming for Kelley and not dear Kaiden?” Emma teased, a knowing grin on her face. I pretended not to hear what she said and continued walking towards where our other teammates were. I sat down in front of Katie, the youngest swimmer out of all of us. 

“Hey Katie! How’s your day so far?” I asked her so that I could continue avoiding Emma’s question. I think Katie knew what I was doing because she was holding a laugh in while she gave me her answer.

“Good! So excited to be here! How about you Rae?” She questioned me back. I smiled a bit but that faded when Emma answered for me.

“She met Kaiden!” Emma blurted out. Everyone at our table heard what she said and looked at the both of us. Some of them gave me teasing gazes and smirks. I immediately felt my face heat up. I felt my phone vibrate saving me from this embarrassing moment caused by my best friend. I took my phone out and saw that Kelley was calling me. I excused myself and went out to the outdoor seating area of the food hall to answer Kelley’s call.

“Oh my gosh! Thank you for saving me from that embarrassing moment!” I told Kelley.

“Why what happened? You seem a bit nervous. You’re on speaker by the way. Alex is here” I don’t lie to Kelley, so I was contemplating if I was going to answer her question. But in the end, I took a deep breath before revealing the reason behind the nervousness in my voice.

“I met Kaiden before lunch today.” I kind of whispered to the phone afraid that people would hear what I just revealed to Kelley. On the other side of the phone I can hear Kelley trying not to laugh at how I told her what happened. 

“Babe!” I heard Alex shout at Kelley, a bit of disappointment in her voice.

“Don’t fucking laugh at me Kelley Maureen! That was the most nervous I’ve been and you know how nervous I get before my races.” I rant out to her. I can hear Alex scolding her a little bit on the other end of the line and I can’t help but smile a little bit about their relationship. “Okay, okay, I’ll stop teasing her now.” Kelley replies to Alex. I heard her shuffling around followed by the door being slid shut. “Sorry Rae, just really love to tease you.” 

“I know. I need your opinion, by the way.” I asked her. 

“Go on.” She replied.

From what I've heard from Sam she’s really not that big into social media she probably won’t care either way.” I groan at her answer. I really feel stupid right now. I don’t really know how to explain how I feel. I’ve had a big freakin’ crush on that girl for the past year. I never thought I would meet her even though the odds are huge with KELLEY O’HARA being my cousin. Am I in a state of gay panic?!?

“Kels I think I’m gay panicking.” I tell her as I feel my heart beat faster. I could feel my breathing pick up a bit and Kelley noticed it too.

“Okay, Rae calm down. Deep breaths for me please I don’t want you to go into a full on panic attack. Inhale, Exhale.” I followed her instructions. “That's it, very good sweetie. Again. Inhale, Exhale.” It took a while but I felt myself calm down a bit. 

“Thanks Kel. You’re the best cousin ever. I might have to end this call now though I still haven’t finished eating my lunch. I’ll see you soon.” I heard Kelley sigh a breath of relief after hearing normalcy in my voice.

“Don’t let Erin and Jerry hear you say that. Love you kid! See you soon!” I laughed and ended the call with a sigh of relief.

🐍Total:

6 books bound, all unique, and single fic books rather then duplicates or anthologies. Of these, 4 were fanfiction.

Of these, 4 were A6 and 2 were A5.

A total of 213599 words uniquely typeset.

The word count this year was a little less then the year before, and about half of the number of books bounds then last year. This result is likely as this year many of my typesets focused on single-fic books rather than anthologies, series of anthologies, ot duplicates which composed of a good number of the ones I had bound last year. I had also been quite busy this year unfortunately, and didn't have as much time as I wanted to put work into bookbinding. I had also gotten a lot more pickier for how I like to do my typesetting, and as a result it took me much longer to do a typeset then previously. Which reminds me I have some nearly finished typesets I just need to touch one or two things up on... ooops. This also seems to be a A6 enthusiast year as I seem to have focused mainly on those, rather then the previous A5 books.

Total of books bound over the two years now: 19 books, 2 published literature, 1 journal, and 16 fanfiction. For fanfiction, 50 unique fics have been printed, spanning across 6 fandoms. Four new fanfics were added this year to the list, and three new fandoms; Hannibal, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Trigun.

Yes...Kuripa has CIPA's disease, so he takes these pills to speed up his recovery process. It's dangerous to anybody who doesn't have a condition like he does.

"I don't like it." A four year old Carson deadpanned as he glared at his father. The entire Kim family had gathered in the bathroom, where Jin had asked Mama Kim to cut his hair off for him as he prepared to leave for his service in a week.

"Hey," you huffed as you looked at your husband through the mirror. "You might wanna watch what you say when I still have these clippers in my hands."

"Your head looks weird," Carson elaborated, squeaking when Kaiden hit him on the arm. "He does!"

"You just look really different," Kaiden said. "It's weird seeing you with no hair. Plus, it means you're about to leave us."

"Boys, we've talked about this remember?" Jin sighed. "I'm going to come home and visit sometimes. It'll be kind of like when I'm on tour."

"I don't like that either," Carson huffed and his tone of voice made you look over at him, knowing that he was probably near tears. Sure enough, you looked over just in time to see a single tear slide down his voice.

"Oh Car," Jin murmured, getting off of the stool he had been sitting on to get on his knees in front of his youngest son. "I'm not gonna be gone for forever, you know? I am coming back."

"I'm gonna miss you," Carson pouted.

"Me too," Kaiden muttered with a sniffle and you watched with misty eyes as Jin pulled both of them into a tight hug.

All good Anon! SH6 or Safe House Company Squad Six and Task Force Dante are not canon squads. They are Original Character Squads. Task Force Dante belongs to @skylordgrey and SH6 belongs to me. Timeline wise, Both possibly got their starts possibly a little before mw2's favorite murder men, 141.

TF-Dante was started by Captain Daniel "Moose" Wilson and hIs second in command, James "Lumberjack" Lane. They fill a similar role to 141 but possibly not as well known nor widespread. TF-Dante is a seven man squad, consisting of:

The squad is specialized for medical and emergency evac. Imagine an ambulance crew but a higher risk of learning more weird shit than learning of the human body (Thank you charcoal). Especially considering that SHC operates more with supernatural shit. They are contracted to TF-141 and TF-Dante. SH6 is a four man squad consisting of:

Honestly, I wish ME’s creative team(s) went fucking ham with the Romance options and design choices. Like it’s a space themed game series, we don’t need basic conventional female character designs or tiddy bots. Give me a character with tentacles on their face and claws that could accidentally scratch me up in a moment of passion, give me a Krogan to love and become Grunt’s mentor/pseudo step-parent, give us something besides male mc getting blue or purple woman and female mc getting slightly more ‘adventurous’ picks with Thane (my beloved) and Garrus. Fuck, I wished for a way to romance Saren when I first played ME1 even if it ended in tragedy because Kaiden? Ashely? Eh. Liara? She’s fine but a smidge plain.

It’s SPACE. There’s got to be more than just humanesque races!

Liara is definitely the love interest I find the least enjoyable, if only because she's a character who's obsessed with Shepard without going into full yandere territory. If they actually framed the hero worship she had of Shepard as the weird not-so-healthy shit it is then I'd probably like her more. As it is she's the character that's the default love interest/blue waifu. I like her but I find every other LI more interesting when it comes to their romance...except maybe Kaidan and Ashley lol

I'm glad there's a female Turian and a new race (the guy named Jaal everyone wants to fuck apparently) for the players that aren't total wusses to romance a woman that isn't human/blue human with head fringe/purple human with a helmet

The only downside of Krogan romance options is that a male Krogan inside a female human would probably be like sticking a fire hose into a coin purse...they DO have four balls after all 👀 I'd gladly die in a proper Tuchanka fuckfight with my man Grunt, but I'd prefer some Medigel on standby when my pelvis gets cracked. That and a lesbian/bisexual Krogan woman would probably ALSO fuck you up; it's like tribbing a fucking tank
