Hey! I was just wondering, I personally have been wanting to do a “showdown” tumblr for a while and since you’re one of the most popular ones I’ve seen (I think) I wanna know if you have any tips? Specifically about how you do it, how you got it popular, is it rough starting out and how can I help that, etc.

tip one have a weird compulsion to make lists and a bad sense of time blindness so you don't notice how damn long the lists are taking to make tip two make lists tip three keep reblogs and irrelevant posts to a minimum and have a tagging system so people can find stuff easily tip four no matter what people are gonna ask you to add extra options for their more nuanced opinions. do not add extra options.

if anyone is able to help me out i'd appreciate it, im still broke as hell. this month has been really difficult for me. i worked a total of 5 days all month and my bank account is in the negatives again after paying bills and getting some living essentials. i dont know how im going to pay my rent like this. i applied to a financial relief fund from a local trans advocacy group but it's going to be a few weeks until anything comes from that. if you have literally anything to spare it would help me out a lot 😭🙏 i feel bad ive been asking for help so often and i know everyone is struggling, im working on getting my life back in order but everything fucking sucks and is difficult right now :( even just spreading this is a huge help

I think it would be a fun project to try and draw a fairy based on one bug from every winged order of insect and force myself to get more creative and leave my comfort zone and try a crack at actual buggy anatomy (or even just trying to transfer visual cues of buggy anatomy onto traits of the girl like how Zun does Momoyo). It would be a helpful learning exercise to improve at character design which is one of my biggest weaknesses I feel (at least in terms of difficulty on my end) plus it provides a justification for the fact that i pirated a bunch of books on entomology last night because I realized I'm really ignorant generally speaking and wanted to stop

your new friend vernon is walking you home one night, telling you all about the date his mom is setting him up on in an attempt to “get out there more”. he admits it’s been a while since he’s taken somebody on a date, and he’s sort of nervous and half dreading it. he doesn’t even have any idea what he’s going to wear.

the two of you reach the front of your apartment building, and you face to look at him. placing your hands on his shoulders you teasingly say, “wear that navy blue polo shirt of yours. it almost makes you look nice.”

he huffs out a small laugh in response, but the truth is he’s sort of spiraling. you notice what he’s wearing beyond an aesthetic sense? do you pay attention to how the shirt fits him perfectly, how it hugs at his chest and shows off his arms? of course, vernon knows he’s attractive — people swoon over him on the daily, and many times he can get away with not paying for ramen at the convenience store if the girl at the counter is young. but, it never crossed his mind that you thought about him in that way. it was different with you, wasn’t it?

he thinks about that, and you, on the way back to his dorm.

you text him to ask about his date the next night, the curiosity getting the better of you.

how was ur date? did she appreciate the polo?

he admits he didn’t wear the polo, but doesn’t offer any explanation as to why. he adds that the date was going fine until they were saying goodbye and she went in for a kiss on the cheek and he held out his hand. he probably won’t see her again.

you laugh out loud at his message.

when it’s your birthday a week later, he wears the polo to the casual dinner you host at your place with your closest friends. he notices when your eyes linger on his lean figure, and the way you blush when you know you’ve been caught. you’re almost sure he’s worn it on purpose.
