to tumblr’s trans people: I’m getting my first binder soon but I don’t know what brand to use. Which is your favorite? (I’m looking for something with a lot of compression)
If you’re cis and this shows up on your blog, PLEASE REBLOG FOR A BIGGER SAMPLE SIZE!
edit: I can’t change the poll, but after some research, it seems that gc2b’s binders are incredibly unsafe. Just want to put this here in case another trans guy is looking at this poll. Underworks seems to be the best option as far as I’ve seen from other people.

Anyone have a experience with either of these ? And do you prefer half or full tanks ? Especially for bigger sized chests
(And Ik Amazon isn’t recommended for binders but these are underworks brand and we’re currently only able to buy through Amazon)

Hey y'all! I'm getting top surgery 2/6/24 and so I'm selling all my Underworks binders at 50%-70% off their original price! I'm going to be out of work for about a month and could use some extra cash. Share with your trans homies to help a trans homie!! 🏳️‍⚧️⚧️🫶

Since I'm talking about swimsuits I might as well mention this actually
you might run into this underworks compression top if you're trying to find something to hide your chest while swimming
Tumblr media
It has all good reviews but uh.
Well, I own one and if you're a cup size D or more it doesnt' bind very good. Works even less than just a really tight one-piece in my experience

Does anybody have any cheaper binder recommendations for a plus sized person with a larger chest (DD to be exact)?
I've considered GC2B but their quality went to shit a while ago, and it's gonna take too long for me to save up for and get spectrum outfitters
Amazon is an option but every binder I've gotten from there had been just as good as a single bra
.
.
I'm stuck using the good ol double sports bra for now :')
Sadly it doesn't make me very flat and it hurts a bit
Can't wait until I get top surgery (even that has its issues for plus sized people :/)

Diary Entry #20
I got a binder and two packers!!! Too bad I can't wear them basically anywhere lmao but still. I cleaned my room with my binder on. I was so worried it wasn't making me flat enough, i mean it doesn't matter now but when I go on T it might.
I made sure to order the right size but after like an hour of wearing it I still kinda hurt. But I'm okay now (it's my second time wearing it, first time wearing it for any significant amount of time.)
I went down a very brief spiral (brief being like 15 minutes tops) where I was like "OH MY GOD WHAT IF I'M NOT TRANS." But looking back, I think it's because my binder didn't make me like 100% flat, more like I have pecs or maybe gynomastia and I'm pretty sure now that's what it was.
But seeing me in pictures with my binder (with my face/hair mostly cropped out) on made me super happy, it's just that looking at me irl still makes me think I look very fem because I still have these fem characteristics and it makes me feel kinda bad. My spiral was not very rational.
I think the thought "what if my binder doesn't actually bind enough?? What if I still look like I have a large chest??" isn't actually very cis, looking back on it. I'm gonna post some pictures of me in a shirt with and without the binder and let y'all be the judge. I think I'm just freaking out over nothing, but I can't stop thinking like that. Under the cut btw, first pic with binder second pic w/o.

it MIGHT appear to the layman; wow, that binder isn't really doing much! But you don't know how my chest looks WITHOUT it; that shit is disrespectfully large and this is practically flat as its going to get without taping it down under my armpits, buddy
for anyone with a big chest, and ESPECIALLY fat people, PLEASE DO NOT LISTEN to ppl saying tri tanks are good!! please lord do not, you will be so short of breath and not even that flat. PLEASE get a full tank off of underworks; YES its made for cis men originally, and NO it doesn't matter, and ILL TELL YOU WHY ITS BETTER There's a few reasons but the major one is the binding material goes all the way down the front, meaning that the entire compression isnt just on your chest, but evenly distributed on your entire front!
secondly, due to it being longer, it doesn't roll up or need to be constantly adjusted. especially when you have back rolls or heavy divets on the middle of your torso, YOU JUST CANT wear the tri tops.
and third of all, if you have a smaller stomach but larger chest, you get this horrible gap that moves around under every single shirt and makes wearing anything not lose as shit impossible. GET IT HERE!
i posted i got that new binder.... forgot to post it and ment to!

got my full tank binder from underworks today. it works like five times better than any half tank I’ve ever had. plus the bonus hip compression. would deeply recommend (might post pics later if I’m comfortable sharing myself on tumblr yet. which I haven’t done before.)
