Tranquil SAGAU - Part 1
-> Part 2
Your isekai trip (or descension, as others called it) into Teyvat was as abrupt as it was underwhelming.
There were no midnight showers of gold and purple, reminescent of the wishing screen you would religiously open every hour or so, hoping to miraculously have 160 primogems to make another pull. No sudden change in weather as Teyvat welcomed you with the eagerness of a golden lab puppy. No sudden meetings of significant and powerful people (vision holders, archons, adepti or otherwise) that would either scorn you or worship you with the zeal of a fanatic either.
No, it was a very quiet and peaceful affair.
You went to sleep in your bed after another mundane day that was more a blur than a memory, only to wake up in the ruins of Old Mondstadt, on the back of a peacefully sleeping Dvalin -- feeling well rested for what seemed like the first time in years, free of the pain poor sleeping positions and even worse body posture developed into.
Old Mondstadt is so much more beautiful than you remember it being in the game, but it was understandable -- it wasn't a game anymore.
The wind sings the haunting melody of Stormterror's Lair as you simply sit on Dvalin's back for hours, at peace with the world and yourself. You forget entirely about the stress of assignments, of deadlines, of examinations stacked unto one another like a house of cards, of trying to fit expectations of your friends and family that you were never made to fit and simply let yourself be.
You breathe.
It was nice.
"All-Mother." Dvalin rumbles from underneath you and it breaks the blissfull trance. He turns his head to look at you, seemingly not minding you being completely sprawled out on his back like roadkill.
"I'm sorry, Dvalin, I think you mistook me for someone." You smile sheppishly.
He huffs, but instead of sounding annoyed he just seemed... Indulgent. It was a good sign to you, who were pretty much at his mercy -- if he wanted to, he could use you as his personal toothpick and you wouldn't be able to do anything against it at all, so it's for the best that the situation doesn't escalate like that.
Then again, Venti did say Dvalin was a gentle child. You didn't see any blood clot crystals on his neck or back, so you were probably in the clear. Worst case scenario, he'd dump you on the ground and you'd have a bruised tailbone.
He made a damn good bed though, you wouldn't mind lounging on him some more if he allowed it.
"You are the All-Mother, there is no mistake. But it is only natural to deny, you do not remember."
He brings his head back and nuzzles you. You quietly melt into a puddle of happiness as he purrs and rubs against you like an overgrown cat.
He was so soft it was criminal. It was like the 'if evil why hot' trend all over again, except this time it was 'if scary why soft' instead.
"Teyvat will remember for you, even when you do not. Your kindness, your warmth, your care - all shall be paid back in full and more, for you are the All-Mother and like any mother, mortal or otherwise, you deserve to be taken care of by your children."
You don't argue, if only because dragons are known for being stubborn. The atmosphere was too nice to waste on a petty argument.
"Do you know how I got here?" you ask instead.
You don't ask about the way back quite yet. You're not sure you ever would, if you were being honest. It just... Felt right to be here, in Teyvat, instead of back home.
In the back of your mind, you quietly wonder if you should feel guilty about not being attached to your old world, to your friends and family, all that much, but you dismiss the notion quickly. Feeling different than what you were taught was normal wasn't wrong, people were different from one another and trying to hold yourself to an impossible standard just because it was the average would only make you miserable.
Your world was slowly growing more accepting towards differences, perhaps in a few decades your emotional stance would be validated as well.
"Teyvat brough you here, that is all I know."
Dvalin huffs against you and you chuckle, a little ticklish.
You both fall silent after that and simple enjoy each other's presence and the ambience of Old Mondstadt.
Dvalin's willingness to simply be, without chatter or interaction, only made your resolve to stay stronger. No one back home understood your need to simply be in a room with another presence, both people doing their own things, everyone called you odd for it.
It was really nice.
"Call me (Name)."
☆(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ* ✨ Author Note✨
I'm bad at naming things and I'm bad at tumblr - perfect combination!
It's a gender-neutral post/series (if I write more), I promise! (Or at least I'm trying my best to write it as gender-neutral, you have full permission to yell at me if I slip up so that I can fix it!)
The term "All-Morher" is not meant to assign a gender, it's meant to compare the Creator of Teyvat to a mother (as I tried to clarify with Dvalin), because mothers bring life into the world and the Creator brought life to Teyvat.
You know, like a mother.
Besides, gods are above something as silly as gender or race *gesturing wildly to Loki giving birth to an 8-legged horse*
I am aiming for a very soft and gentle AU, the terms Creator or Your Grace didn't fit into it at all! Teyvat knows its' All-Mother is an utter softie that doesn't care for religious worship and would rather chill, so its' adjusting to fulfill those preferences -- hence, no grand entrance, no throwing its' All-Mother into the deep end by parking their ass in front of Mondstadt gates and no scrambling to survive.
Just a nice, quiet day chilling with Dvalin.
Fun fact, I have never done the Sumeru Quest and I don't have the space for Fontaine, so that's gonna remain a thing for a long, long while yet.
I don't read the manga either.
We D'ballin, ✨who needs lore accuracy anyways✨
That being said, I am slowly going insane because of the windows in-between subjects at Uni. Who made that a thing? I just want to talk, I promise.
Yell at my bad english, I'm an english major so all yelling is appreciated.

Hi! I’m a student currently learning computer science in college and would love it if you had any advice for a cool personal project to do? Thanks!
Personal Project Ideas
Tumblr media
Hiya!! 💕
It's so cool that you're a computer science student, and with that, you have plenty of options for personal projects that can help with learning more from what they teach you at college. I don't have any experience being a university student however 😅
Someone asked me a very similar question before because I shared my projects list and they asked how I come up with project ideas - maybe this can inspire you too, here's the link to the post [LINK]
However, I'll be happy to share some ideas with you right now. Just a heads up: you can alter the projects to your own specific interests or goals in mind. Though it's a personal project meaning not an assignment from school, you can always personalise it to yourself as well! Also, I don't know the level you are, e.g. beginner or you're pretty confident in programming, if the project sounds hard, try to simplify it down - no need to go overboard!!
Tumblr media
But here is the list I came up with (some are from my own list):
Personal Finance Tracker
A web app that tracks personal finances by integrating with bank APIs. You can use Python with Flask for the backend and React for the frontend. I think this would be great for learning how to work with APIs and how to build web applications 🏦
Online Food Ordering System
A web app that allows users to order food from a restaurant's menu. You can use PHP with Laravel for the backend and Vue.js for the frontend. This helps you learn how to work with databases (a key skill I believe) and how to build interactive user interfaces 🙌🏾
Movie Recommendation System
I see a lot of developers make this on Twitter and YouTube. It's a machine-learning project that recommends movies to users based on their past viewing habits. You can use Python with Pandas, Scikit-learn, and TensorFlow for the machine learning algorithms. Obviously, this helps you learn about how to build machine-learning models, and how to use libraries for data manipulation and analysis 📊
Image Recognition App
This is more geared towards app development if you're interested! It's an Android app that uses image recognition to identify objects in a photo. You can use Java or Kotlin for the Android development and TensorFlow for machine learning algorithms. Learning how to work with image recognition and how to build mobile applications - which is super cool 👀
Social Media Platform
(I really want to attempt this one soon) A web app that allows users to post, share, and interact with each other's content. Come up with a cool name for it! You can use Ruby on Rails for the backend and React for the frontend. This project would be great for learning how to build full-stack web applications (a plus cause that's a trend that companies are looking for in developers) and how to work with user authentication and authorization (another plus)! 🎭
Text-Based Adventure Game
If you're interested in game developments, you could make a simple game where users make choices and navigate through a story by typing text commands. You can use Python for the game logic and a library like Pygame for the graphics. This project would be great for learning how to build games and how to work with input/output. 🎮
Weather App
Pretty simple project - I did this for my apprenticeship and coding night classes! It's a web app that displays weather information for a user's location. You can use Node.js with Express for the backend and React for the frontend. Working with APIs again, how to handle asynchronous programming, and how to build responsive user interfaces! 🌈
Online Quiz Game
A web app that allows users to take quizzes and compete with other players. You could personalise it to a module you're studying right now - making a whole quiz application for it will definitely help you study! You can use PHP with Laravel for the backend and Vue.js for the frontend. You get to work with databases, build real-time applications, and maybe work with user authentication. 🧮
Chatbot
(My favourite, I'm currently planning for this one!) A chatbot that can answer user questions and provide information. You can use Python with Flask for the backend and a natural language processing library like NLTK for the chatbot logic. If you want to mauke it more beginner friendly, you could use HTML, CSS and JavaScript and have hard-coded answers set, maybe use a bunch of APIs for the answers etc! This project would be great because you get to learn how to build chatbots, and how to work with natural language processing - if you go that far! 🤖
Tumblr media
Another place I get inspiration for more web frontend dev projects is on Behance and Pinterest - on Pinterest search for like "Web design" or "[Specific project] web design e.g. shopping web design" and I get inspiration from a bunch of pins I put together! Maybe try that out!
I hope this helps and good luck with your project!

SIG-Sauer Pistols CC Collection
Began in 1975, with an aquisition of a German arms factory of J.P Sauer und Sohn GmbH by the Swiss SIG AG, SIG-Sauer produces many variants of pistols including :
SIG P220
The very first patent since the joint of these two companies. Launched in 1975 to fill the position of the police issue sidearm. Also this model is a principle of the next SIG-Sauer pistol designs.
SIG P226
Issued in 1985 as a development of P220 with advanced features. Actually participated in US DoD's XM9 program, but instead the Beretta 92F was chosen. Later acquired by the US Navy as M11. One of Original "Wonder 9" Member who Successfully toppled the Revolver's Domination during 1980s inside Law Enforcement and Military alike.
SIG P228/P229
A compact variant of P226 basically some length was chopped from the barrel and slide, as well as from the grip. The P229, was developed especially for the US market and is assembled in the USA using both German and US-made parts. It’s identical to the P228 except for a heavier slide. The P229 slide is made by machining a bar of steel as opposed to stamping and forming from sheet steel. The heavier slide on the P229 is necessary because of the comparatively more powerful calibers used in this pistol.
SIG Pro
Sig Sauer's Attempt on Modernizing their Sig Sauer Series to make it relevant for current Polymer frame Pistol Trend and stay relevant in Military Industries. The SIG Pro is a series of semi-automatic pistols developed by SIG Sauer in Exeter, New Hampshire. It became the first polymer-frame handgun from SIG Sauer and one of the first pistols to feature a built-in universal accessory rail and interchangeable grips. Offerings in the series are chambered in .40 S&W, .357 SIG, or 9×19mm Parabellum. As of March 2020, only the SP 2022 variant is still listed on the SIG Sauer website. The SIG Pro was marketed as a lightweight. and compact alternative to the "legacy" SIG Sauer handguns in an increasingly competitive and budget-oriented law enforcement market. SIG P320 (M17 And M18 )
A further development of previous model SIG P250 which issued by SIG Arms Inc. USA. Released in 2014 as a SIG participation in the US DoD's XM17 next sidearm program. After some evaluation,  this model won the contract and acquired as M17 in the US Army in 2017. US Marine Corps acquired it's compact variant known as M18. The full-sized model was designated the M17, and the shorter length carry model, the M18. The guns have subsequently been adopted by the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Space Force. The pistol replaces the Beretta M9, as well as several other handguns across the services. There are two color variants, coyote brown and black, for both the M17 and M18, though almost all have been produced in brown.
The SIG Sauer P365
Modern Derringer is here.. with superior compact size over the smallest modern Handgun that ever known, Glock 42 (5.8 inch on P365 Vs 5.94 inch on Glock 42) also the Best Seller on "Concealed Carry" Category in United States. perfect for anyone who looking for smaller Pistol as Third Sidearms or Perfect pistol for Political Assassination 3:)
SIG Sauer P365 is a striker-fired subcompact semi-automatic pistol manufactured by SIG Sauer, intended for everyday carry. It is offered with Tritium XRAY3 Day/Night Sights and two 10-round magazines; one flush fit and the other with an extended finger tab, and a stainless steel frame with polymer grip module. It is primarily chambered in 9×19mm Parabellum and is rated for +P (higher pressure) ammunition while utilizing offset double-stack magazines. A variant chambered in .380 ACP was introduced in February 2022. The P365, which replaced the P290RS, is produced in Newington, New Hampshire. In both 2018 and 2019, it was the best selling handgun in the United States.

Convergent Histories
Tumblr media
a @flashfictionfridayofficial prompt
Jenny feels in place, mostly, enough that she forgets, sometimes, with maybe days or even weeks until something stuns her still when she tries to piece apart what it is, what it means, what it means for her. It’s not hard. It looks like home, for the most part, sounds like home, smells like home when the fog hits and there’s barely room to see. Even the big differences are so ubiquitous she’s used to them, and forgets.
But then she’ll mention offhand a book they had to read in school, something so central to the canon no one hasn’t heard of it, and there they are. Blank looks all around. Maybe it exists here, some version of it, by some different title with half the words stripped, under an author with a name that isn’t quite right. It’s never anything at all like what she remembers.
What do they read here? She asks, and they give her lists, give her stacks of library copies, or folders full of text files, or their own precious books as they tell her be careful, it’s my favorite. And that feels similar enough, the structure and cadence not unfamiliar, the characters textured and real, the worlds wonderful and horrible and mesmerizing. The weight of them is the same in her hands, the smell of them, the edges rough or smooth against her fingers. The words blur the same as she grows tired, the tablet lands the same on her pillow as she drifts off to sleep. The stories are stories, still.
But the names are so many men she never knew and may never have had reason to. There are familiar landmarks – wars, disasters, inventions, fads – and the topics trend toward the same preoccupations, but the people are never the same ones. Even the same plays have different players, different faces, different costumes. The same myths have a different outcome, moral, name. The fonts are the same but the pictures are different, portraits rendered in a different hand. No one with her name, here. There are Jennys galore but not a single Jenivere, not a single Marstotter in the city that’s supposed to be her own for her to turn to and say, no, no, she’s the other Jenny, the tall one. The soprano. The one who can’t fly.
And she can see, in the books, the same lessons. This one teaches where to use a simile and where a metaphor, that one teaches symbolism through repetition. This one has characters with such depth you feel like you’ve met someone almost the same, and that one uses archetypes to develop a plot so intricate you try to solve it right along with everyone else. This one is famous, historical, that one is pop culture, relatable, intriguing to a bored class full of teenagers who would rather be skipping rocks.
But why, in this world that loves wolves so much that they have them on every corner, where Jenny can’t walk two blocks without being offered the opportunity to say hello to one, do they have so many books where they die? Why is there a whole category called a dead dog book that’s supposed to be so edifying kids are reading them regularly in class? There wasn’t anything like that back home, where someone tailored something just for kids to see their beloved becha slain right in front of them. But you can’t ask. Jenny’s tried.
There are questions people think are funny. What is this food made of, and why does that music sound like that. People love explaining their culture and their history and their family and all the little details that make the place make sense to them. They don’t love politics – or, at least, the people who do love explaining politics are well worth staying away from – but they’ll still dive into it, make it cogent for Jenny to find her way through questions and debates and, eventually, the vote. They love explaining the who and what and when and where and how of it all. And they love explaining the why. But they never quite manage it.
Jenny’s learned to phrase her questions like they’re light, flighty things. People are so much more afraid of depth, here, of philosophy, of meaning something they shouldn’t. So afraid of saying something too complicated, too technical, even when they have expertise. Dumbing things down in embarrassment.
They love to explain – they explain even when she doesn’t ask, even now that she knows her way around – but they never want to explain too hard or, Jenny thinks, they’re worried the magic will get sucked out of it somehow. That if the mystery goes away, if they allow themselves to truly understand, somehow physics will stop working and the world with it. So they summarize, paraphrase, redirect. Jenny’s learned to get at questions sidelong, but even then. The more expert people seem at first blush, the more flustered they get at the details. Always derailing with movies, or gossip, or sex.
They know how many worlds there are. They’d have to, to give her quizzical looks and correct her on terminology, to tell her that her clothing doesn’t look quite right, to study why her powers are so different, so rare among the people of this place. They’d have to, to flush and stammer out apologies when they overstep. When they say something her culture forbids, or she stumbles across something theirs does.
But then, Jenny’s pretty sure she never could’ve answered the why of it back home, either. That’s why she’s here. It was supposed to tell her something, but she’s pretty sure she hasn’t gained any more insight than the numbers told them all in the first place. She’s pretty sure that’s maybe not a thing she can do. That anyone can do. That maybe that’s not the kind of question science can answer, no matter how many worlds are at your disposal.
It’s a relief, in some ways, not being able to call home and report she’s learned nothing yet again. A relief to think everyone’s lives are continuing on as normal – you hear horror stories in a Parallel House – and they miss her, think of her like she thinks of them, assume she’s making discoveries by the minute. But the discoveries she makes aren’t the kind that tell her anything grand; the patterns always fall apart. So she calls herself an alien, and laughs, and moves on, and maybe that’s as close as she can get to a fact or figure.
