Too many ‘normal’ people in g/t stories I think.
Give me a germaphobe human that loses their mind finding out a borrower has committed the ultimate sin (walked on their counter)
Give me deaf borrower who thinks their being quiet while borrowing, and the human just plays along, pretending they don’t hear all the noise they’re making
Give me autistic giant who holds a human captive simply so they have someone to infodump to
Give me human with visual and auditory hallucinations that just thinks the little guy they’ve seen running around their house is a hallucination
This isn’t even mostly about representation, I just think applying these to the g/t dynamic makes an even more interesting dynamic

Another g/t trope that I love but as a dialogue prompt
Giant: "You're scared of me."
Tiny: "...I don't want to be."

Drunk Giants
Imagine a tiny waiting up late for their giant to come home from their fun night out, only to have them arrive way later than they told them they would, completely wasted.
They’re stumbling around the apartment, calling out for the tiny while giggling to themselves. The tiny is unsure if they should answer. It’s the first time they’ve ever seen the giant this drunk… And while they know it’s them, and they’d never do anything to hurt them, accidents do happen…
However, they don’t get much time to overthink it as the giant spots them on the the couch. Their face shifts into utter delight and they practically throw themselves to where they’re sitting.
Before the tiny can react, they’re scooped up and peppered with kisses, the giant was happy to see their little buddy and more than willing to shower the frozen tiny with affection.
Despite being drunk, the giant handles the tiny like they’re the most delicate thing in the world, being mindful of how they’re holding them.
The tiny engages in some small talk, asking about how the evening was- only to be met by a slurred “it’s better now that I’m here with you~”, they ask how much the giant has had to drink- and they’re immediately silenced by the giant pair of lips that cover their entire face, they try to get the giant to put them down and go to bed- only to have them stand up and stumble to the bedroom with a giggle - “Yeah- hicc Yeah I think we should go to bed now…”
Not what they meant at all…
The tiny is unable to do anything as their giant carries them off to the bedroom, snuggling them between their cheek and the pillow as they yawned. The smell of alcohol was strong in their mouth. The tiny tries to ignore this as the giant nuzzles them gently into the pillow like a cat.
They can’t really move. And they can tell that their giant has fallen asleep. They sigh as they try to get comfortable. Oh well. At least the giant will feel the karma tomorrow morning when the night of drinking catches up to them.

Thinking about
Thinking about how a giant shows off their power to a tiny (a mer shredding a fish with their claws; a human cracking a pistachio open; a giant uprooting trees) in order to convey “I am powerful.”
And they show how gentle they can also be (a mer handing the now small pieces of meat to a smaller mer so they can eat easier; a human sliding the pistachio over to a borrower/fairy as a sign of peace; a giant holding their human in a gentle fist with so so much care) in order to convey “but I will never hurt you.”
But the tiny only sees, only hears, them say “I am powerful.” The tiny cannot hear them say “I will not hurt you,” because they’re too busy filling in the rest of the sentence with “I could easily overpower you without a second thought.”
(The smaller mer only sees the claws tearing into their own flimsy scales; the borrower/fairy only sees them being torn apart; the human only sees their roof being pulled off.
They all see themselves being crushed.)

G/T thought
being tiny and resting on a giant’s tummy, feeling the rise and fall as they breathe, listening to their deep breaths as they sleep. Their heartbeat moving you up and down. It’s like sleeping on a bass speaker. Their stomach occasionally gurgles; it’s only natural. Just being tiny and listening to a giant’s body as I rest by a fireplace with a giant hand over me like a blanket
God I wish g/t was real.

a couple people mentioned dolls/figures for the uncommon prompt and I also saw horror
so now I keep getting an almost idea for a living doll who belongs to a collector/customizer. She’s generally passive and not over eager to reveal that she’s alive to the collector, instead taking in the idea that she’s most beautiful when she’s dressed and well posed. She has no nerve endings and learns that the frequent adjustments to her limbs or face are an expression of love. She feels close to the collector, like she’s bonding when she’s being held and prodded and posed and photographed.
It’s a very warped view of love, but she’s not really supposed to be alive in the first place. Maintenance and customization and display are signs that you care for a decorative object, so it mostly works out for her. (But it does feel incomplete, somehow?)
It does not, however, work out great when she comes across a tiny half her size and tries to show she cares with the same methods
I’m not sure who I’d want as the tinier tiny though—another doll who’s just a litttttle more alive? Borrower who was pumped to get some scaled tools? Doll customizer who’s been shrunk somehow?
Whoever it is they’re about to have a bad day

I just had an idea.
Tiny who is outside, it's raining hard, they're exhausted and freezing. They stumble across a large garage, and giant's clothes, it's dirty and worn, and seems to have been discarded a while ago, but they don't care. They dry off and find a nice pocket to cozy up in. It's not long before they fall asleep.
Unknown to Tiny is that the clothing wasn't abandoned. It's owned by a giant that works as a construction worker, their clothing is constantly dirty and wears down fast, giving it the illusion of being abandoned.
The giant puts on their clothes for the day, and it isn't until the Giant is at work that the Tiny wakes up. Terrified out of their wits, they try to find a way out, unfortunately they manage to fall out almost landing in a running piece of machinery. Giant out of habit manages to catch Tiny to both of their suprise.
Maybe Giant wants to let Tiny go, but they realize Tiny is in horrible shape, they're fragile, exhausted, and clearly are in need of some TLC. Maybe Giant reluctantly takes on the responsibility of nursing Tiny back to health.
Just thinking about how terrified Tiny would be at this dirty rugged Giant keeping them hostage, and the Giant wanting nothing more than to help Tiny but struggling to convince them that they don't want to hurt them, they just want to help.

My cat put a dead house centipede on my house shoes as a gift and it scared me good.
So consider.
A borrower who leaves 'gifts' for the human of the house because they want to be helpful. I don't mean trinkets and money. But like dead animals that they've killed because they heard the human complain once about the bugs and rodents in the house they can't get rid of. It can be because the human helped them or just to be in the good graces hoping that if they do get caught one day they will be set free or maybe they just want to be nice.
House centipedes, huge spiders, even mice. They kill these things and leave them for the human to find. To the borrower, it's full proof.
To the human, it's terrifying as fuck. They go to their phone charger and sees a cockroach without a head. If the borrower is absolutely FERAL, there will be a dead mouse on the floor in front of their bedroom door. The human would think these things are dying naturally if it wasn't for the perfect stack of dead, wingless, flies on the counter.
The borrower is so proud of themself for getting rid of these pests they've heard the human say they didn't like.

Dancing in your Hands
Full credit for this idea goes to @entomolog-t and this prompt here about gt and dancing. Featuring to random OC's I made up on the spot that will likely only ever exist in this fic lol.
Premise: Human teenage girl doesn't have a date to prom and wasn't going to go. But her borrower friend saw how excited she had been and gets her to go anyways. She has a wonderful night but when it comes to the couples dance she side lines herself because she had no one dance with. She comes home and tells this to her friend who knows how much she had dreamed of this.
word count: 1510 cw: very very very minor hurt but lots and and lots of comfort and fluff.
"You should have just done it Jane." Zephyr sighed as he watched the human teen sit dejectedly onto her bed.
"How could I Zeph? I would have looked so lonely dancing by myself to a romantic song."
The girl flopped backward onto the soft purple duvet, grabbing a heart shaped pillow and giving it a comforting squeeze.
"I already don't have many friends, I don't need the whole school knowing I can't get a date either."
Zephyr couldn't help but feel sad for his friend. He knew how much this prom had meant to her even if the thought of so many humans gathered in one loud space terrified him. But whenever the teen talked about dancing the night away and having that special ‘one on one’ slow dance with that someone special, he couldn't help but hope she would have the most magical night of her life.
Even if she had reassured him that not having a slow dance partner didn't matter and she still had a good time, he could tell she still longed for that special moment.
Perhaps he could change that.
"Jane," The borrower called from the side table to get the girl's attention.
"Leave your phone here and wait outside of your room, and don't come back in until I call you."
Jane turned over on her bed to face her little friend, the smaller waiting expectantly for her to follow her instructions.
"Um what for though?" Jane asked, confused. What could he possibly want her to leave her room for?
"Just trust me." Zephyr smiled. "I promise it will be worth it."
The girl furrowed her brow whilst taking out her phone to set it down next to her friend on the side table. It dwarfed his size completely; being almost a whole 2 inches taller than what he already was, but she complied and stood, leaving the room wondering what on earth he could be planning.
It was about 15 minutes later that Jane heard the Borrower call her back inside.
Her eyes widened in surprise when she entered.
All around her room the fairy lights she had placed ever so delicately had been switched on, illuminating the room in a soft glow. A melody she recognised from her romantic dance playlist was playing softly from her speakers and created a magical feel to the enclosed space.
And there on her dressing room table stood Zephyr, dressed in his nicest borrowing clothes (the borrower telling her so) and holding a single red rose she recognised from the rose bush just outside her window, high above his head by the steam.
"Zephyr," Jane breathed in amazement at a loss for words.
The Borrower stepped forward holding the rose out to the human girl, which she took oh so timidly. "I don't know what to say."
"Then say you'll dance with me." The boy asked, reaching his hand out for her to take. "Allow me to lead you in a final dance"
Jane blinked, her brain short circuiting.
He wanted to dance?
Her 3 inch tall friend wanted to lead her in a dance?
Jane burst out laughing.
"Zephyr, I appreciate the gesture but I don't think that's exactly possible when you're the size of my index finger." The teen said as she tried to regain her composure between each laugh.
"You're not exactly able to lead at your size."
Jane missed the way Zephyr's face fell as she wiped a stray tear from laughing so much.
"Oh. Right" He said quietly, slowly making his way over to Jane's phone and began to switch the music off.
"I guess I thought I could give you the special slow dance you always talked about."
This grabbed the girl's attention.
"I guess it was foolish to think a Borrower like me could give you clearly Human experience."
Finally Jane realised what she had done and saw how dejected her friend looked. Zephyr had rushed to go to the effort of giving her a special slow dance just like she had always talked about, and what did she do? She practically insulted and laughed in his face.
"Zephyr." Jane began crouching down to be on the Borrower's level.
"I didn't mean to hurt you. You did all this just so I could have a special moment and I laughed in your face."
"I just wanted to make your dream come true." The boy whispered, dipping his head down sadly.
"You already have Zeph. You encouraged me to go to the prom in the first place. I had such a wonderful night and I shouldn't go mopping around just because I didn't get the dance I had hoped for. And I especially shouldn't have laughed at you when you did all this for me." Jane reached her hand out slowly and gently lifted the boy's head with her finger, blue eyes meeting smaller green ones.
"I'm sorry Zephyr."
The boy grabbed onto the humans finger and hugged it tightly, a silently accepted apology; the two smiling having made up. Zephyr eventually then pulled away and raised his hand out.
"May I have this dance?" the borrower asked once more, the girls heart melting as he did.
But there was still one slight problem.
"You may, but how do you want to do this?" Jane asked. As she had said before, how was he going to lead her in a dance when he could fit in the whole palm of her hand?
The Borrower grinned as he lifted his hand up horizontal to his chest and  splayed his fingers apart.
"Hold your hand out like this, and hover it about an inch above the table. I’ll do the rest."
Jane pulled her left hand back a little bit and matched the way Zephyr had instructed her too with her hand before the boy got to work. He gently curled the human's ring and pinky fingers under to rest on her palm and then instructed Jane to keep the tips of her index and middle fingers on the table, before grabbing her thumb and pulling it forward to lift her hand up.
"Oh you're so clever." Jane exclaimed as she realised what Zephyr had done.
"I've got a finger person." She smiled at the smaller, who returned her smile with one of his own.
Zephyr then quickly ran over to the phone and tapped some buttons till Jane's favourite piece of dancing music came, on before running back and bowing to her finger person.
She returned the gesture with an awkward curtsey of her own the best she could with her fingers, before the Borrower took the human's thumb in hand, and wrapped the other around her index and middle fingers. His hand barely covered the tip of her thumb at all, and his touch was so light, but the fact the Borrower was even touching her hands at all was a marvel in itself.
As the music began to pick up, so did Zephyr in leading her hand in a dance.
It was difficult given she couldn't turn her hand 360° degrees all the way round, but nonetheless they were dancing. It seemed when she had been practicing to dance for prom, that Zephyr had been learning the leading steps too, because she was certain each step he made was one of her favourite waltz.
How far they had come since first meeting, from the Borrower not even wanting to interact with a Human to now leading her hand in a dance. She did not deserve such a kind hearted friend.
She couldn't help but gaze at him fondly as he moved her hand about the table dance floor.
"Hey Zephyr?" Jane asked the borrower as he looked up to her.
"May I try leading?"
He smiled. "Of course Jane."
Jane carefully released her hand from the smaller before scoping him up and gently laying him against her chest, stepping into the middle of the room before gently swaying with the music.
Zephyr felt the steady rhythm of Jane's heart beat beneath him, as her hands cradled him close. It was soothing and he leaned into it more. Had she done this a few months before, he would undoubtedly be screaming, but he had come to trust and adore Jane so very much. The human holding a piece of his heart though she may not realise it yet, cared for him oh so very much and was nothing like the terrifying humans from stories he had been raised to believe.
He loved her and he would do anything for her to always see her smiling.
"Thank you Zephyr." Jane whispered quietly. "You truly have made my wish come true."
They stayed like that, gently swaying for the rest of the night, basking in each other's embrace as song after song played, never really wanting the moment to end.
It may not have been like the fairy tale slow dances like Jane had envisioned in her head, but it was so much more than what she could ever have asked for.

It's been a while since the last time I posted a prompt.
Well, here we go!
Do you know what aspect in g/t is criminally underated?
A giant bowing.
But not just a polite little bow.
No no, I'm talking about the kneeling, forehead-touching-the-ground kind of bow.
Man that's so powerful!
Think about it, the giant literally being on eye level with the tiny, without the tiny standing on a higher ground.
That display of respect, love it!

gt prompt (?)
I've been thinking about this concept and I really dig it sm. Imagine a world where, the moment any human is born, a tiny/borrower/fae/whatever term you use is born at the same place and time connected to them, but in the opposite gender and not blood related, and they don't normally look alike (kind of like His Dark Materials). They would be like soulmates but not in a romantic way. Whenever the human dies or gets injured, their tiny companion also dies/gets injured and viceversa, depending on the protection of each other. They grow up beside each other.
Of course you can take this one step further and make it so they can read each other thoughts, know where each other is, see through the other's eyes.

Capture this, you're in the middle of a city evacuation. Something catasthropic has hit the Earth, people are running left and right, edifices are toppling down all around you. You run desperately, but a building starts falling towards your direction. You see there's no way to outrun it, so you cover your head in fear, waiting for the impact until -
Something holds the building up, making it groan loudly. You open your eyes and look above you, and what you see leaves you speechless: a giant is holding the construction, tons of concrete halting under their strength, all so that you and the other humans can escape. The giant yells with a loud voice, "Run, quickly!", as people take the opportunity and flee, not sparing a glance towards their massive savior.
Meanwhile you're just laying there mesmerized like -

Silly prompt idea borrower who becomes a human-sized magical girl(I got lazy with my doodling)
Tumblr media
Basically, the borrower lives under our villain's abode. Vilian is doing some sinister experiment and drops a magic crystal. Borrower finds this crystal and takes it just because they think it's pretty, later finds out that it gives them the ability to transform.
Living so close to the villain gives them a lot of insight into the villain's plans, so the borrower is always there to thwart them. Over time, I'd imagine the villain would start to get suspicious about how the magical girl always knows exactly where and when their plans will take place, sometimes even arriving on the scene before the villain gets there themselves. Around this time, the borrower starts getting a bit overly confident (they beat this person up like every week, it's not like they have any real reason to take precautions, right?) and in the process, they end up losing their crystal. Villain finds it and puts together that it likely belongs to the magical girl(maybe they've seen it on them before?). This brings up the question, 'What is this doing in my house??'. They keep the crystal in a secure place and try to investigate it further. Now the villain is extra on guard and the borrower is hatching a plan to get the crystal back. Also very time sensitive since if the magical girl doesn't show up for a while, people will start to get suspicious.
Tumblr media
(Not a solid villain design, don't like it that much, so will change later. I just wanted a place holder)
Can the borrower get their magic back in order to keep being a magical girl? If the villain does find the borrower, will they connect the dots to find out the magical girl's identity? Does the villain hate the magical girl in a harmful and malicious way or do they just want them out of the way? Or is the villain more interested in the science behind the transformation, leading them to become obsessive? I don't know.
Had to get the concept out of my brain, toodles
