who in the community inspires you?

(OOC: Oh gosh, there are so many. Really i get excited by most any content on my dash. But more specifically, I’ve recently found a lot of inspiration in @askdeanthomass and @dontthinkonithermione I just think they are sooooo good at making high quality content. And normally I’m too lazy to try anything beside closet cosplays filmed on my shitty web cam, but they really go above and beyond which kills me and inspires me simultaneously.)

The Luncheon

((ooc: Harry, George and Ron played by yours truly. Draco and Molly played by @remus-lupin-is-my-type . Ginny played by @asklestrange . Arthur played by @geethanksinternet . Thank you all for doing this with me, I adore how it turned out, you are all such wonderful humans!))

One crisp autumn morning, Harry gets ready for lunch at the Burrow; a weekly occurrence. Trying to tame his hair, though why bother?, he glances through the open bathroom door at Draco, who is lounging on the bed, reading.

The Burrow

15 minutes later

...Me.

At that moment, Molly Weasley saw Harry from across the yard and hurried over.

Ginny perks upon hearing Molly’s exclamation. She shares a look with George, before sending a mischievous glance Draco’s way. Ron shifts his eyes anxiously between his siblings.

Ron: “He can’t be all bad.”

Across the yard, Arthur Weasley is attempting to have a conversation with the son of the man he bodily tackled in Flourish and Blotts. 

Arthur: That went well.

Draco: “Oh, uh, I--”

Ginny: “Aw, c’mon, sure you do!”

Draco attempts to escape. Ginny acts quickly, pulling him down into a nearby chair.

‘In more ways than one’, Draco thinks, smirking to himself. He is pulled back to the conversation and out of his less-than-innocent thoughts by the end of Ginny’s little rant.

Draco finally finds Harry, talking with Ron near the entrance of the Burrow. He heaves a sigh of relief and walks up to the pair.

Harry, turning back to Ron: “We’re gonna go now, Ron. Tell your Mum thanks from us?”

Harry: “C’mon, Draco, Apparation Point’s this way.”

Harry turns back to Ron as he leads Draco in front of him out of the Burrow’s yard.

Draco and Harry’s Flat

Harry: “Draco...”

Harry: “She’s just worried after me.”

Harry: “You hold your own. They respect that.”

December

Harry and Draco sit, snug and warm in the cold winter morning. happily unwrapping presents. The had opted for a quiet Christmas Day for their first as a couple, just the two of them.

Draco gathers himself, feigning disgust at the present.

Draco pulls the sweater over his head and looks down at himself wearing it. He looks over into Harry’s lap at the lump of knitting he also received from Mrs. Weasley, a warm feeling settling in his chest.

Draco: “...Yeah. Yeah.”

It’s called “One Day at a Time”, its on Netflix.

It’s a sitcom style show about a Cuban American family, and it has torn my heart from my chest and put it back in several times. Also its a little gay, which is always good))

They are the Charlie to my Hagrid and I cannot tell you enough how much I adore the Jily content Marcus does with Alice because my heaaaaaart jawiruwecnrawe too good ~um, anyway, so yeah, Marcus, you’re pretty much Wonder Woman with your resilience and i love you so so very much. You are incredible and I loved that time we spent a few hours talking and writing and hearing you sing was fantastic. I really hope you have a good day and that you get to spend lots of time with Bean and that you remember that you’re so loved by all your friends and that I adore you to bits @notanotherweasley

Erika is someone else who I have looked up to since the moment I met her, and I want so badly to be able to spend a day with her watching Wonder Woman and having her teach me how to knit and drinking tea and hot chocolate and listening to Disney music and just….being in the presence of this person who is such an incredible presence ~Erika….what can I say except I love you and adore everything about you. You seriously inspire me to be so much kinder and more welcoming to people and giving, but still making sure to take care of myself. You have never failed to make me smile and to be there for me without realizing it. I wish only that we lived closer so I could give you a giant hug because there have been so many times I wish I could and so I can say thank you for existing in the way you do @oh-dont-worry-honey

Klary always has a kind word to say for others even if she can’t direct it at herself, but I try to remind her what I can because she’s the type of person who does things because she wants to and I wish she was recognized more for her talent and creativity 

Klary makes me smile more often than not, and I wish I could tell her that in person. You’re trying, my dear, and I am so so very proud of you and every little accomplishment you have ~Klary, you are magnificent. You are so smart and full of ideas and I love that you create what you do. I appreciate you more than you might realize, and I hope that you know you are so incredibly valuable as a person. Just Making Sure- Part 2

October 27th 1979:

Remus Lupin stumbles into the room with a wounded Peter Pettigrew on his shoulders. It was a set-up. The death eaters were on them like hungry wolves the second the order got there. Remus tries his best to get the startled Peter to calm down. All he has to do now is stop the bleeding.

Remus: It’s going to be fine Wormy, alright? just got to patch you up...

Remus is trying his best to focus on the healing spell, when the cracking sound of an apparition breaks his concentration.

Sirius: Expelliarmus!

Sirius’ barks shuts Peter up within seconds. Sirius’ attention is moved over to the tired looking man a couple of meters away. Sirius walks closer to him, pointing his wand at Remus’ neck.

Remus sighs and walks over to Sirius giving him a pat on the shoulder.

“Okay, I’m done. Are you ready?” they heard Marlene shout from the bathroom, where she had been getting ready, wanting her costume reveal to be as dramatic as possible.

“Alright, close your eyes.”

They hear the bathroom door unlocking, and Marlene positioning herself in front of them.

“You can look now.”

Dorcas: I’m all for taking something... ugly, and making it sexy, but not like this. 

Lily sighs, quite frustrated, when suddenly something falls into place.

Dorcas and Mary assumed that Lily meant that they were just going right outside the door, but Lily kept walking, all the way down the stairs to the common room, and then back up the stairs on the other side of the tower - the ones leading to the boys’ dormitories. With Dorcas and Mary still trailing after her, she stopped to knock on the door to the 6th year dorms, and then waited.

“Did you hear someone knock too?”

“Are we expecting company?”

“I hope not, I haven’t even made my bed!”

“Wormtail, open the door.”  

From the back of the room, James stepped into view, with a pair of antlers on his head that unfortunately complemented Lily’s doe costume perfectly.

Downstairs in the common room, Remus is pouring himself some eyeball punch while waiting for his classmates to arrive, and the party to start. 

Meanwhile, in the girls’ dormitories, Marlene is standing with her ear pressed flush to the door, listening for any sign of her friends. When she doesn’t hear any, she opens the door and goes downstairs for the party.

Marlene: Nice costume!

Lily: Yes.

Sirius: Alright then, lads, let’s-

Dorcas: Not that... Remus is a beast or anything, I just meant–

The six of them leave the dorms, making their way down to the common room, but what they see half way down makes them all stop in their tracks.

Marlene: Ow! What the hell?

A minute later, the common room was cleared, except for the eight sixth year students, who all seemed quite stunned by the situation.

Peter, realizing where this was going, acted quickly and whispered “muffliato” while flicking his wand towards the dorms, to keep anyone from hearing them. 

Remus felt tears burning behind his lids, and cursed himself for having such overly active tear ducts. Why couldn’t he be able to feel one feeling without crying? Just once?

That’s when things finally fell into place for Marlene, and at that moment, the tension in the air was so thick, that it almost seemed hard to move.

There was a short silence.

Marlene: I guess I just… 

Once Dorcas started chanting, it was only a matter of seconds before the others caught on and “HUG IT OUT! HUG IT OUT! HUG IT OUT!” echoed loudly throughout the common room.
