Witch Tip: Getting Started With Planetary Magic

Note: This is, as always, my personal experience of studying astrology and working with the planets for twenty-five years. There's some UPG in there. Your results may vary. My paradigm is based on creating relationships with the planets rather than demanding they obey your commands. This is what I mean by work with: begin the process of forging a relationship.

If you are looking for a place to start with planetary magic, work with the traditional planetary ruler of your Sun, Moon, or Ascendant - whichever of the three feels right.

If you are under the age of 30, I would steer you away from working with Saturn to start with and if you are under 25, I would steer you away from Jupiter as well. (as intermediary planets they require a bit of life experience to fully actualize)

The Sun and the Moon can be looked at a bit like parents. Most of the time, they like you and want to support your life and successes. Sometimes they can be bossy or naggy and they definitely will always think they know better than you.

Venus and Mars are like your besties, or sometimes, your siblings. They can be your wingman when you need them and will definitely beat somebody up if they've been bullying you. They may not always agree with you, but most times you can convince them to your side.

Mercury is a capricious bitch. They will play tricks on anyone, including you. They are endlessly convinceable so just be reasonable and you will probably get what you want (though sometimes in a roundabout way).

And that's okay, they control the inevitability of change (Uranus), death (Pluto), and the Unknowable (Neptune). PLUTO IN AQUARIUS: UTOPIA OR DYSTOPIA

Many posts I see about Pluto are either dystopian or utopian.

Some are quick to point out that Pluto (power) in Aquarius (sign of the people) signifies mass control and devastations faced by large numbers of people, which I don’t deny at all.

But there’s the other side of the coin as well in which the collective is tired of being pushed around with some even hitting rock bottom, and are now ready to dismantle the old paradigm to move on to something else or even build something new in response.

Pluto in Aquarius at best is the story of the underdogs discovering and utilizing their power after being relentlessly tormented.

With Pluto involved, we first encounter grim conditions that we can no longer tolerate. And then we become ready to knock it down in order to create or emerge in another sphere that is more ideal.

You cannot have one without the other in a world of polarity. And Pluto highlights this polarity.

Once you come to terms with this, you can work with Pluto and even fall in love with him.

You can go into a dark basement even if it’s scary, and face your fears and look them in the eye and even make room for your fears to exist while taking action.

It’s like when Dorothy and her friends discover who the Wizard of Oz truly is.

Behind the curtains, he is an ordinary individual using tricks and illusions to appear more intimidating than he really is.

This brings me to what’s happening now…

None of the tech giants and heads of state who seem to have colossal influence are as powerful as they appear.

They may issue draconian measures to control and wreak havoc on the masses and gaslight them in the process.

But such measures also backfire.

Just like with the recent TikTok ban in the U.S. (which has now been reversed), which drove millions of people to RedNote (a Chinese social media platform similar to TikTok) where Western users are now discovering (sometimes in awe) a new world they didn’t know existed.

It’s interesting that on the same week when RedNote became the most downloaded app (just days before the ban), Meta shares took a plunge.

It was then when Zuckerberg issued a statement that he will get rid of fact-checkers and introduce community notes instead.

The panic on his face when he made this statement was hard to ignore.

Also, many members of congress who voted for the ban invested in Meta stocks, prior to the ban.

One of the justifications for the ban was that the magnitude of data the app collected posed a national security threat.

After digging deeper, I’m finding out that apparently Meta collects more data than TikTok.

These are not topics that are reported in mainstream media.

With Uranus (freedom, cutting-edge technology) ingressing into Gemini (sign of communications) this year on 7 Jul 2025 (GMT), I expect a plethora of social media apps to emerge.

Uranus, the modern ruler of Aquarius, upholds freedom to be of utmost importance.

My prediction is that many of the upcoming social media platforms will respect people’s privacy a lot more and will not censor people’s voices as much, especially as we move closer to the Uranus-Pluto trine (lucky aspect) which will be exact next year.

Another topic not being covered in mainstream media is that Kansas (along with a number of other states in the U.S.) filed a civil suit against one of the most well-known pharmaceutical companies (you all know the name) for misleading the public and using deceptive marketing during the pandemic.

The point I’m trying to make is that actions are being taken to hold powerful companies and forces (that seemed invincible) accountable – this is the other side of the coin of Pluto (power) in empowering the collective (Aquarius).

Just because we don’t see these headlines in mainstream news outlets doesn’t mean that such countermeasures don’t exist.

The more we become aware of people standing up for the underdog and mobilizing themselves (including the underdogs themselves) to take action, the more we can empower ourselves with Pluto in Aquarius.

ON AQUARIUS RISINGS ♒️

This is a part of a series on the rising signs not necessarily in Zodiacal order.

Aquarius risings are social outcasts who feel that they don't belong in their birthplace. Saturn rules 12h and 1h. Night charts especially feel like their society doesn't want them. Their ruler exalts in 9h in libra - the house of foreign lands and religion. But they aren't really religious. They can be critical especially of conventional religion. Saturn exalts in libra because aquarians have that skepticism over traditional religion.

They exalt as in get success and status when they show a formidable rational critique of the dominant doctrine and dogma. They shift societal trends and paradigms. Karl Marx is a great example of an aquarius rising who reaches prominence by critiquing the dominant system in society, an economic system which privileges only the bourgeoisie.

They talk a lot they can be as talky as geminis cause they have aries in 3h and where you have aries is where you're impulsive. But their ruler saturn debilitates in 3h so they won't get success there. Talking just for the sake of talking takes them nowhere but if they show a rational, alternative view of the structures of society they'll be prominent influential figures in their country and even the world.

They view the general as well as the specific. Sagittarius 11h gives them a general (sagittarius) view on human society (11h) but saturn is also particular and detail oriented. Virgo 8h - they transform everything around them (8h) when they get into the details. Saturn is about small restrictions and binds but it rejoices in 12h where we transcend them all. Saturn rules their 12h.

They have scorpio 10h so bosses and authority figures are threatened by them. They can be better than their bosses at their job so the authority people sense a threat or intimidation. They don't get on well with people of higher positions than them. Especially day charts. Unlike Leos who might try to pander to people in power on order to reach status(Venus ruling 10h),aquarians don't do that and hate that as well. They'd rather work on their own as their 10h ruler Mars exalts in 12h in capricorn.

They have gemini 5h so without intellectual stimulation they won't be attracted to you. You have to impress their intellect and mind. Now let's address the elephant in the room, the moon ruling 6h. People close to aquarius risings (moon is close emotional connections) throw unnecessary burdens on their shoulders. People expect aquarius to serve them and when the aquarius rightfully sets boundaries, problems arise.

Sun rules 7h and 7h is sunset so it's not really a good place for the sun unless the condition of the sun plus its domicile lord states otherwise.

Aquarius get egoistic partners or partners who try to control them. They get arrogant partners who expect the aquarius to serve them. Sometimes partners who gossip behind their back as sun their 7h ruler exalts in 3h.

They should keep in mind that a healthy relationship is supposed to be between two equals. I think they and capricorns both know this deep down better than anyone cause their ruler exalts in libra the sign of equal partnership.

What the aquarius wants first of all is an identity, to be somebody. Where you have aquarius in your chart is what you wish for. They have it in 1h, so they wish for some sense of self. Of course saturn delays that but it never denies. They do find themselves even if somehow later in life. There is something about a boss or payment policy or something that is abusive in nature. I feel like you've been debating on what you should do about this as it's affecting you and your money. I feel this is some kind of injustice that you feel inclined to rebel and speak up against but you don't know if it would make much difference and if this will risk your job. These anxieties are valid, but if you're struggling to find truth and peace through this situation, I am hearing that confronting these anxieties to determine the validity of them will take you a very long way. How this will affect your career: This feels really positive pile 3. I am seeing the sun card in my mind's eye and I feel as if you're going to be feeling a sense of freedom moving into this full moon. I feel as if things are turning around for you and I am hearing "new chapter", so this could be coming after some difficult endings. I actually feel the difficult endings were closed out a long time ago, maybe like a year, and you've been in the transition and energetic re-cooperation phase. How this will affect your career: The 3 of Pentacles and the 8 of cups: I feel as if you're leaving a workplace behind. You may have taken quite a lot of time to think about this, (2 of wands to clarify) but now I feel as if the plan is solidified in some way. I am also seeing a tree frog on my screen as I type this and I feel this is symbolic of rebirth and renewal, but also being able to thank the past in work for happening because of the amount of wisdom it gave you. So while you're starting new (now that I go deeper I feel this is someone who is starting a new job, like you've already been hired or something like that) I feel as if you're also starting with a lot of wisdom and knowledge and know-how that only you possess. This is going to be very beneficial for you, pile 4, as I feel you may be coming in almost as an underdog in some way, but it won't be that way for long. How this will affect your love life: I feel as if this will be illuminating some shadows and guilty pleasures in love that need to be overcome. There are some choices that are either in your life now, but honestly I feel more that these choices are on the way, and if you don't look at your shadow self and the ways in which you sabotage relationships, you could mistake some really good choices for bad ones and/or vice versa, causing you to miss out on opportunities. Life Update (counts as an observation):

Getting a leadership credit for college (and evidently for my resume so I'll look even better in job opportunities coming up later on this year): Note. I will upload a selfie/face promo once I get around to induction (the award ceremony) and link this post to it in tandem. Watch out!

Dumbing down and simplifying my tech use (planning to do a digital detox in the summer that'll last a month long). So far, bought an iPod touch 6th Gen in Silver (waiting for it to come in the mail). Next up is gonna be an early 2015 model MacBook Air 11 inch. I already have an orange iPod nano 5th gen in my stash, not to mention a small canon handheld camera, an automatic telescope and a discman. Will be doing storyboards via sketchbooks and CD collecting will be as normal. Will update y'all on how it goes. NOTE: prolly will time it to the Uranus in Gemini transit

Mercury enters Aquarius: Visionary Thinking

Named after the mythological messenger, Mercury moves at a fast speed through the Zodiac, spending approximately three weeks in every sign. Jupiter conjunct Saturn in a transit signifies monumental change towards a new paradigm of what the world will look like for generations to come and striving towards true equality. Within a birth chart and for lack of better words it can symbolize you being freed from something that is causing your oppression and suffering. A Jupiter-Saturn conjunction is especially good because it’s a promise within your natal chart that anything in your life that causes you suffering will turn around for the better good. Not everyone is that fortunate unfortunately. Some people can’t alleviate the difficult circumstances they’ve been put in, some people can’t have redemption arcs and people who deny that come from a place of privilege.
