Just like the previous one; the hcs might seem bland and repetitive, in general I see 90% of the genshin men being polite and mostly calm so I did my best to make it more dramatic :3
Part 1 [Mondstadt, Liyue and Half of Inazume]
▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃
A hiss erupts from your throat as you quickly withdrew your hand from the fire.
Your singed hands trembled, examining the dark spots that had littered across your palms and even your knuckles and fingers. You clicked your tongue, regretting the decisions to cook without your gloves. If only they weren't torn from that expedition two days ago... you should really get new ones.
You hear the door open... "[Name]?"
▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃
Inazuma
Kaedehara Kazuha
Side note i forgor to do his part so im editing this in lol (P.s i'm not following the whole 'The dead vision of Tomo burnt his hand' theory since I saw no confirmation about it)
Kazuha was resting on your rooftop, sharpening his blade after a long fight on the way to your home. He kept a close ear to your voice inside the house, a smile on his face as he heard your humming. But it drops into a surprised frown when he heard the sound of you hissing in pain.
He drops from the roof, landing on his feet as he enters your house and makes a beeline straight for the kitchen towards you by the time you managed to put out the fire that engulfed your hand. He calmly takes you aside and examines the injury, he's been on the road long enough to take care of basic wounds like cuts, splinters, and of course; Burns.
While having you sit next to him, he gently and carefully treats your wound, whispering sweet nothings in your ear as his featherlight touches brushed against the numb skin of your hand. Once he bandages your hand, he suggests taking a break before you continue cooking, explaining that it would help put both your mind and his at ease if you both just bask in eachother's presence for a little while.
Kazuha's arms were wrapped around your waist, his face buried into your shoulder, snow white hair tickling your cheeks and neck. He relaxes at your scent and warmth, as though he hadn't felt such tranquility during the last few days of his previous journey. Something about you just puts him into such state; Your voice? Your smile? Your heart? No— It was everything about you that made him smitten.
"A flame burns within the presence of a silent moon. Illuminating the surrounding area. Soothing in its warm embrace... You ought to be careful if you aren't using your glove next time, would you like to borrow my spare ones? Ease your worries, they're heat resistant and won't wear down so easily, I have plenty and know where to go for more. Think of it from a different perspective; Instead of worrying that you're stealing something valuable for me... think of it as a part of me that will stay with you until I return home once more."
Shikanoin Heizou
Help i'm running out of hcs i'm sorry Heizou my husband pls help
Heizou wastes no time in dragging you away from the stove and to your bedroom, making you sit down as he treats your wounds.
He reprimands you a little for your reckless decision, but soon peppers you with kisses just to cheer you up. Especially if you get a little pouty when he scolds you. As cute as your pout is, he's removing it with his own kiss until you succumb to his affection. Your his [S/O] it's his job to smother you with his affection, and Celestia above knows just how much he wants you to feel his love for you every second of the day.
Spoons you when he's done tending to your wounds, arms wrapped around your waist and chest pressed against your back, chin resting on top of your head. Heizou loves the feeling of your body pressed up against his, it feels so comforting to have you in his arms, your skin against his. It puts him through a state of ease and satisfaction that not even sucessfully solving the hardest case known to mankind would bring. You have him wrapped around your pretty little fingers.
The both of you just chatting about random topics, the other listening attentively— occasional banters here and there. But if you're hungry, he begrudgingly allows you to continue cooking— under his supervision. He keeps a close eye on you, he won't let the smallest detail go unnoticed if it's for your safety and comfort. He'll cling onto you whether you like it or not, especially if you're doing something that requires strength or fire.
"Hands up now, my dear partner. Here, it's easier and safer for me to light the stove instead... *Chuckles* Stop complaining, sweetheart— just because it's more convenient to use your Pyro vision, doesn't mean you'll end up setting your hand in flames again. And if you do... I won't throw you into custody for something stupid. But— I will be nagging you endlessly. You would prefer your boyfriend's sweet and loving kisses over endless yapping, would you not?... Now, come here~"
Thoma
*Mom mode activate*
Berates you for being reckless instead of calling for his aid, but that doesn't stop him from tending to your wounds... neither does it stop him from lecturing you.
He offers to switch jobs with you, leaving you to do something else that doesn't require much strength or your Pyro vision— such as cleaning the windows on the lower floor of the Kamisato estate, or folding the laundry.
Or, if you're an official (E.g. A Kamisato sibling or relative), he'll have you sit aside while he does the cooking and forbids you to do anything.
He'll invite the Kamisato siblings over to join you both for lunch, even play that weird hotpot game— to which Thoma somehow won. As expected.
Of course, he gets sick due to one of the Kamisato siblings putting a bizarre ingredient inside— leading you to help Thoma back to his room and onto his bed.
He then says that his stomachache will feel better with a cuddle... of course, he was lying, but you have no say in it because you'll always end up cuddling him in bed one way or another. A little white lie doesn't hurt now, would it?
"Don't worry about me, usually these hotpot games always end with me nearly throwing up... but it's fine if I have you here with me. Funny, it seems like you're the one cheering me up instead of the other way around. How's your hand holding up? Want me to pepper it with kiss? Oh, who am I kidding— i'm going to do that either way. Now... your hand, please, my dear?"
Sumeru
Alhaitham
Of course he's gonna shit talk u, but the most he'll do is call u and idiot— in a fancy way~
He's not really happy about getting up and treating your wounds when he has work to do, reprimanding you for using your vision without your glove. But, if it's for you— he'll push aside his attitude to tend to your needs... if you have a valid excuse for said needs, that is.
Hands you some mora and tells you to go buy some gloves. But once you're gone, he began looking over at the dish you were trying to make— and begins continuing the dish you were making, wanting to finish it for you. Though, he might alter the flavouring to his liking because he wants it to taste good to him as well. Of course, he'll try to make it close to what you were making. Key word; Try.
Once you're back, he has you spoon feed him for not only using his mora but also to bother his personal time. It might seem like he's being a jerk, but... he stole Kaveh's keys on purpose and locked him out for a reason— to have some time together with you.
It might seem like a silly and an inconvenient way to spend time together alone with you. But with him being the acting Grand Sage and all those nosy scholars constantly trying to pry on in on his business... he truly values you and wants to spend some time with you in any way possible. Even the dumbest ways. After all; His personal time also includes having your affection.
"...Is there something on my face? I can clearly see you're pouting... I assume it's because you keep feeding me bites but not tasting the dish yourself? I never remotely hinted in my demand that you had to feed me the whole dish without having a taste of it for yourself, this was meant to be created by your own hands... had you not become so reckless in the kitchen. Hand me the spoon, I promise I didn't make it taste as bland as you trying to make it before."
Cyno
"You burned yourself? Well... that's what you get for... being too hot... Heh... Heh heh."
Aside from that not-so-flattering pun, he'll help you treat your wounds quickly but efficiently... but quickly drags you into a game of TCG at Lambad's Tavern. You're his [S/O], you're legally obliged to say yes without objection. If he loses, he tells another joke. If you win, you get a kiss on the cheek.
He'll let you order your favorites, occasionally spoon feeds you— as a distraction to sneak a peek at your support cards. As your boyfriend, the both of you are allowed to play dirty against eachother. Anyone else, he would've punted to the ground if they dared steal a peak at his dices.
All jokes aside (Pun half-intended), he did it to not only have fun with you, but also to make you forget about that little humiliating experience. Because at the end of the day— you'll find yourself always in Cyno's strong and protective arms as he hugs you from behind, his nose pressed against the back of your neck as you both rest on his bed.
"Feeling better, my love? I apologize for dragging you around all day just because you burnt your hand a little, but it was worth it in the end, no? I enjoy spending time and having fun with you... You could say I— *Bonk* ow. I hadn't even thought of a pun yet, you didn't have to be so... fiery. Heh. Heh heh."
Kaveh
help im running out of ideas and Kaveh's still locked outside lol
Kaveh sighs upon hearing from Alhaitham when you burned your hand in their kitchen, though he pins the blame on Alhaitham for not looking after you or helping you while he was gone. Alhaitham only replies that he wasn't your babysitter and that you're a grown adult.
He walks in to see you treating your wounds, frowning at the sight of your bandaged hand and sighed when you explained yourself. "You shouldn't use your vision so recklessly like that, darling... I'll buy you a new glove... Don't worry about me, I know a friend that can make gloves at a cheap price... or a cheap favor."
Has you sitting down on his bed and forced Alhaitham to go cook, who probably went out to buy something from the tavern for the two of you. At least you two were alone now.
Cuddles you on bed, big spoon or little spoon, it's up to your preferences. Halfway through, he'll pick up a marker and asks what you would want him to draw in your bandage, just to make you feel better.
"There we go, is this what you envisioned; a small [Favorite Animal]? Yes, I made it look like you— endearing, cute and gorgeous! Hmm... wait, I think it's missing something, let me just... Tada! I drew myself next to you! I hope you don't see this as something childish, I just want you see that even if you were to hurt yourself, major or minor wounds, i'll be here with you, my darling."
Tighnari
Calls u a lummox
Tighnari obviously scolds you when he finds out you somehow burned yourself while he was out taking care of a Withering zone nearby. Could you be anymore clumsier? He can't leave you alone for a minute, can he?
After a minute of naming every single synonym related to 'Clumsy' and 'Reckless', he helps to treat your wound and asks Collei to keep you company as he leaves to fetch you both something to eat. She's quite close to you, you're like an older sibling for her and sees you as a mother figure in a way. Though, if you were upset from Tighnari's lecturing earlier, she's does her best to cheer you up.
Eventually, he comes back with your favorite [comfort food] and even brought Collei some pita pockets. She quickly leaves, not wanting to interrupt her master and his beloved's alone time.
Tighnari apologises a little for getting slightly carried away while scolding you, feeding you while he explains what shenanigans ensued in the withering zone. To both make you feel better and to help him relax, he allows you to pet his ear and tail. Sometimes, his cheeks were noticeably a faint pink colour if you manage to scratch a certain spot behind his ears— to which he'll try to use his tail and gently nudge your hand away to avoid embarrassing himself.
"Ow! Is that how you handle stray dogs that wander in the streets of Sumeru City? You pluck their ears like it's a sweet flower?... *Sighs* It's fine, I know it's only an accident. Plus, my ears were hit by a Winged Cyroshroom when I was clearing a Withering zone, it's sensitive and cold... Hm? Oh, no, you can keep touching it, i'm certainly not going to stop you at all. Your hands feel warm and nice. Your carresses calms me down... as long as you don't pull on my ear or tail too hard."
Wanderer ([W/N]= Wanderer's name; It can be Scaramouche, Kunikuzushi, Wanderer or your own desired name for him!)
"...How a vision bearer who has already mastered her own powers become so clumsy as to have it turn against her is far beyond me." "(W/N)—"
Nahida happened to be visiting you today with [W/N], who was planning to ask if you were free and wanted to accompany him to an underground ruin in the desert— but that plan was quickly abandoned upon seeing the burn marks on your hand.
Nahida took initiative to help tend to your wounds, her tiny little fingers gently applied a cooling ointment on your burn marks while [W/N] had you sitting on his lap, his arms wrapped around your waist. He held your free hand, thumb gently brushing against your knuckles in an affectionate manner. He's oddly... affectionate and caring today, even though he wasn't speaking as much, only basking in your presence as he holds you. Up until Buer asks if you had any gauze that she could use.
As soon as the Dendro Archon left, [W/N]'s face contorted to an expression of unamusement, a brow raised and the corner of his lips tugging downwards. He scoffs, playing with your fingers as he starts to slander you with insults, rubbing salt into your wounds. But you're used to it by now and you don't back down so easily.
By the time Nahida returns, she stands at the doorway, wearing a look of utter confusion as she watches [W/N] trying to hold you still on his lap. His arms remained wrapped tightly around your waist, barking at you to stop squirming and let him hold you while you whine and hiss about his haircut. She quietly backs away, leaving the roll of gauze outside your room for you.
"Your vision speaks for your attitude; Fiery and a complete hazard wherever you go!... I'm wasting my precious time to come over and coddle you like an infant, not to say that I hate it... I mildly dislike it because you're more reckless than a boar!... *Sighs* Now, do you want me to waste my breath as well arguing with you, or are you going to relax and let me hold you?... Do us both a favor and come here, I need it just as much as you do..."
Fontaine
Freminet
Idk what to write for Fremi. So I made him suffer for like 6 lines or smth lol
Upon seeing you holding your hand, hissing while glaring at the black marks on your hand, he rushes over to check on you. He was soaking wet to the bone however, having came back from a diving mission in search for some materials deep in the sea. Drops of water splattered across your face and clothes, now you feel oily and wet.
He frantically apologises, picking up a cloth nearby and lightly wiping your face clean... unfortunately, you already used that cloth to wipe some excess flour. Now, your face is sticky.
To make things worse, he tries to wipe it away with his bare hands that were still wet, only smudging both your face and his fingers. It's at this point, you felt less pain from your burn, and giggling more at his frantic attempts to help you. It's ticklish too.
In the end, you ushered the blonde to change as you patched yourself up, then inviting him for a cuddling as you can clearly see embarrasment written all over his face that you're comforting him instead of the other way around... But he's certainly not complaining. It feels comfortable being in your arms as you played with his hair. Pers resting by your side.
"Thank you, it's... I guess today isn't really my lucky day... Ah, th-there's no need to be concerned of me, i've encountered a few minor setbacks while I was diving near some shallow waters. A few treasure horders hindered me when I was trying to transport back the materials, A few bruises and cuts, but that's alright. Especially... n-now that i'm with you..."
Lyney
Slight 'animal abuse', it's just live fish and putting it out of it's misery dw
Helps treats your wounds, but takes out his half-capelet (Yes I googled what it's called) and wraps it firmly around your burnt hand, adding the excuse that if he was busy performing, a part of him would still be with you and helping you to heal.
After making sure your hand was alright, he'll help you cook whatever it was you were originally making, only he takes care of anything involving heat. He's the one with gloves
Half-way through, you find out that you've ran out of salmon. Lyney, wanting to try a new magic trick he had been practising and also wanting your attention all on him, called you over with an empty bowl in hand. He filled the bowl with cold water, then placed a large cloth over it and asks you to keep an eye on the bowl.
A few seconds later, he swiftly pulls the cloth away, showing a large, fresh salmon resting in the bowl of water with a few seaweed wrapped around it's body. At first, you were going to have him an applause... until you realize the fish is still alive. And aggresive.
It leaps at you, smacking it's powerful tail against your face, then jumping over to Lyney and accidentally slipping into his mouth. He gags and frantically spits it out, the fish landing on the floor and flailing around violently. It only calmed down when you managed to grab it and put it out of it's misery with a swift and clean cut.
Now, you and Lyney were covered in water and seaweed. He was trying to make sure you were alright, hoping his small accident hadn't hurt you too much or left a bruise... he tried to talk, until he realized he had a mouth full of seaweed.
"I have scales and seaweed in my mouth... Blegh! Are you alright, sweetheart?— Oh, don't worry about me, i've fought things worse than a fish. *Chuckles, then grimaces* Oh... you've got a small bruise... i'm sorry, sweetheart. I... should've thought twice before using live fish, let alone bringing my magic tricks into the kitchen. Here, you go sit down, let me make it up to you and finish the dish. I don't want to risk accidentally make a live chicken appear next or something *Chuckles*."
Neuvillette
I ran out of ideas, but I love suffering <3
He was coming over to visit you during his break, a little tired as he bad been bombarded with a lot of work recently. He's glad he has you, simply being in your presence helps his mood, he can't help but smile a little when he hears your voice, or notice the faint smell of your scent lingering in the room.
So seeing you, looking irritated and upset, he chuckles as he helps tend to your wounds. Then, he invites you to his office, not because of some official business— he just wants to have lunch with you.
Despite the calm and quiet atmosphere between the two of you, Melusines and some of the Maison Gestion members frequently enter his office— looking for him and asking for his guidance on their work. Meanwhile, you sat at the other side of the table across of Neuvillette, quietly eating your [Dessert] with a strained expression if annoyance. But you can't do anything about it, it's Neuvillette's work after all.
He catches on quite quickly, chuckling while apologising as he can't really catch a break when in his office, but he's glad you're here nonetheless, your presence makes him feel as calm as water.
"Fret not, my dear, I assure you this will be the last one... I would like to cherish my time with you more. Here, have this glass of water, it is found exclusively in the depths of Erinnyes Forest, purified. The aftertaste is crisp and strong, yet, has a glacé like flavour once it touches the surface of your tongue. Savour it well, for it contains quite the rich taste when it settles."
Wriothesley
Jokes that u would be safer in the Fortress of Meropide instead of being in front of a stove
His little joke seemed ironic when both of you were currently in the said fortress, as you helping out with cooking meals for everyone, including your beloved, Wriothesley. Unfortunately for him, you were in the middle of making his food when you burnt both it and your hand.
Wriothesley escorts you to the infirmary, having Sigewinnie examine your wounds and tend to it while he sits next to you. He teases you by making back-handed compliments to your dish, stating that he couldn't wait to taste the new 'charcoal' spice you added, knowing the dish was burnt.
Of course, in the end, he still takes the failed dish and eats it right in front of your face without spitting it out. Despite the grimace on his face and the occasional eye twitch followed by the sound of his teeth grinding against the blackened, burnt bits— he smiles at you fondly, giving you a thumbs up and ruffling your hair.
Wriothesley would likely suffer a horrendous pain later on, but if it's for you; he'd do anything... except if shorten your sentence.
"Hey! Hey! Relax! I'm joking, the dish isn't completely burnt, I know that. I'm simply... discarding the singed areas of the food. With my mouth. Then, we can share the remains together!... I can tell by your face even you don't want to eat this. Very well then, i'll go [brew us a cup of tea/get your favorite drink]."
Snezhaya + Misc.
Childe
at this point ive officially ran out of ideas so im just copy and pasting the hcs :'>
You were tasked with creating a dish for one of the Harbingers, perhaps if you can salvage enough of the remains, your head wouldn't be pierced torched to bits like your current dish... Luckily for you, a certain ginger had snuck up behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist and asking what happened.
Tartaglia tends to your wounds, occasionally teasing you for being so nervous about the harbinger you were supposed to serve putting your head on their polearms. Of course, once he was done, he helps you to cook the dish so you wouldn't get into too much trouble. Your little secrets and failures are always safe with him.
He doesn't allow you to touch anything that requires heating or using any sharp equipment, skilled in combat as he is, he's quite skilled with kitchen weapons equipment too. In his eyes, anything can be a weapon if you know how to handle it.
The end result was... somewhat disappointing. But Tartaglia quotes it 'Somewhat passable' if he knows the harbinger he knows you're serving. He accompanies you, to keep you safe, knowing that harbinger doesn't have a single sane bone in her body. Luckily, she only dismissed you with a little wave after the taste, stating that it was fine. Once you both were alone, he ruffles your hair playfully and plants a kiss on your nose. No matter what hinders you in your task, you can always trust on your beloved to help remove any obstacles for you. You survived Arlecchino today... but now you're dealing with an overly affectionate Tartaglia. Not that you're complaining.
"See? I told you it was somewhat passable. Now... how's your hand, still numb? Sore? If your hand has fully healed... what say you treat me to your signature dish? As a form of repayment for helping you! *Chuckles* I'm only teasing, kitten... Come with me, let me go treat you to the finest dish in Snezhnaya instead! And no buts! I'd like to see your pretty smile again as your actual form of repayment!~"
Il Dottore
Slight TW (?) Somewhat, it's just a lil bit of blood
You were making something for the doctor to eat in his lab while he was busy, which also meant that you were using his equipment when he heard you burn your hand on accident with a hiss, to which he chuckles and suggests to not tinker with it too much.
Helps to treat your wounds, but in return asks for a small drop of your blood. After he extracts it, he sends you off to cook somewhere else as he decides to examine the cells in your blood. He's been wanting to try this one hypothesis he had in mind, but didn't have a willing subject. He won't make you go through what the others have gone through... he's too fond of you and your endearing behaviour.
Once you're back, you sat next to him to eat the dish you made, occasionally feeding him as you watched him work. It wasn't until you saw the small vial containing your blood and an unknown liquid did you see him inject it to something that looked like the equivalent of a dead rabbit. You flinched, seeing it's unmoving muscles suddenly twitch for a few seconds— before remaining still again. Dottore sighs, it's an improvement... perhaps a bigger dose of your blood was needed. But that's an experiment for another time, for now, he wraps his arms around your waist and pecks your cheek.
"Did I scare you sweetheart? My apologies, I thought I might have discovered a... breakthrough of sorts. Only for it to end in utter disappointment. No matter. How is your hand? Do you feel numb from the ointment I applied on your burns?... *Mumbles* Perhaps the heat may have altered your blood temperature, that could explain the mild effects when I combined it with— Hm? Oh, no, don't worry about it sweetheart. *Chuckles* How about we go for a walk? It feels a little stuffy in here."
Capitano
Imma just write a rlly short ones from here on out im getting lazy with researching these characters
Capitano decided to take a small break and left headquarters to check up on you when he heard your hiss of pain, he comes over and questions why you weren't wearing a glove while wasting no time in treating your little accident.
Once he was done, he brings you back to the Fatui headquarters and has one of the receuits in charge of cooking to make you your favorite dish. It's a bit of a pressure for them, considering you're the ever-righteous captain's [S/O]. Later on, he has you sitting on his lap in his office, one arm holding you close while the other arm was holding a map of Teyvat— explaining another expedition he was tasked to handle.
"Do you recall the last expedition I led back in Mondstadt? Well, my time will unfortunately be occupied for another number of days to come. Until then, however, may I ask you a favor?; I'd like to have your presence in my office as much as I can before the day of my departure. Of course, once I return, I will clear my schedule and have time for you alone... So you won't have to make such a measly little reckless mistake again. I'd like to see you in one piece and unscathed when I return."
Pantalone
slight yandere fatui baizhu :>
He brings you to the infirmary in the Fatui Headquarters, cooing softly as he asks if you're feeling alright and if you were embarrassed for nearly burning your hand off.
Pantalone's wealth met no ends, so he spends a not-so-healthy sum for a meal made by the most talented chef in Snezhnaya. If any of the dishes made were to not meet his standards, you can expect that the chef would likely be sued with a falsified lawsuit, you would be surprised of what the Fatui are capable of.
Try to decline his offer as you might, whether it's because you couldn't finish such a huge feast or you didn't want to him to burn off such a large part of his wealth, he simply brushed you off and states that his Mora is also considered your Mora. That innocent smile of his only asks you don't ask any more questions and let him love you. Treat you like the goddess you truly are.
"Oh, there's no need to make such ludicrous assumptions, i'm merely treating my beloved queen to a feast that she deserves. The cost has been covered, no need to fret, just enjoy. No one will disturb us, even if they will... They wouldn't dare~"
Pulcillena
Why
Seeing you burn yourself because you didn't have a glove, he helps to treat your wound and later leaves to commision a new set of gloves for you— one that wouldn't be easily destroyed like your previous ones.
Once he returns with both your new pair of gloves and a meal for you, he only asks that you spend more time with him as a form of repayment. Being a Fatui harbinger takes up quite a lot of time, and Pulcillena worries that he may be neglecting you.
Some might say he was being overprotective and overbearing, but in reality, all he wants is to bask in your presence and company.
"Come, my beloved— I have plenty of time to spare, I don't require a second thought to choose what I spend my free time on. What say we do a bit of sightseeing? I know somewhere scenic will leave you completely speechless."
Pierro
Wtf do I even write for this guy I know nothing abt him
Pierro was dropping by to see if you would like to spend some quality time together, seeing as he was finally able to clear a good chunk of his schedule to come and see you. Originally, he was planning to bring you somewhere secluded and quiet, just the two of you. But he decides to postpone that for a little while upon seeing your hand in flames.
He calmly puts out the fire and helps to treat your wound, offering to help aid you with your cooking. Though, he states that he'll mostly be at the side and only help when the situation is dire, he'll allow you to handle the rest of the cooking yourself.
Although, you eventually repeated the same mistake again; Using your Pyro vision and accidentally engulfing your hand in flames. He puts it out swiftly before any severe damage was done to your hand again, a damp cloth was used to help with the burn as he reassures you that you were alright and that it was just a simple mistakes.
"It seems you still have yet to learn from your mistakes. No need for apologies, you were only distracted by something unforeseeable, but it won't have any consequences so as long as I am here to keep you under my supervision and my protection— you'll always be unscathed when you're with me, my beloved."
Dainsleif
This is Post-Abyss twin journey where he finished his journey with Aether and parted from him, he occasionally comes back to u
On the way to your abode, he had to go through numerous obstacles on the path, and they weren't taking his presence too kindly, let alone be any less aggresive than they should be. Nonethless, he clears them in the end, just in case you would be taking the same path. So when he finally arrives to see you with your hand in flames, he was covered in various scratches and bruises, probably a fractured leg too.
Dainsleif easily puts out the small fire that nearly engulfed your hand using a damp cloth and treats your wounds. As much as you tried to take care of his own wounds, he states that he was alright and that he had suffered far worse fate in compared to a few measly little hits that took him off guard.
Eventually, he concedes and allows you to treat his wounds, you've helped patched him up a few times when he was on the road so you one a few precautionary steps to take and how to handle certain injuries.
As a fair exchange, he helps to finish the dish you made, he knew basic cooking... but he wasn't an expert. Due to a mishap while using the stove, he ends up in the same predicament as you; his hand englufed in tiny flames. Thankfully, you managed to frantically put out the fire in time with the same cloth, and he was still wearing his glove that minimised the damage done to his skin.
"...I'm fine, there's nothing to worry, i've surffered much worse than a little burn. It'll cause nothing more than slight discomfort at most, i'll live through it. It won't affect my performance—... You want me to take a rest? I'm unscathed, dear. This isn't a concerning matter, it doesn't add to my previous injuries...*Sigh* Alright, if that's a command from you, I won't deviate."
Aether
This is MC Aether and not Abyss Twin Aether btw so Paimon exists bc I love her she's my little bby. But he's not mute.
He was in the middle of setting up your sleeping bags when he heard you burning your hand. He immediately drops everything and checks up on you, helping to treat your wound with the limited supplies you both had.
He decides to help you with cooking— until he realizes you're had accidentally burnt off half the recipe. But he brushes it off, stating that you both had made plenty of good dishes before, what's so hard about—
Ingredients scattered across the grassy field beneath you, stew stains seeping into the soil of the ground, you watch as Aether frantically puts out the fire using his Hydro powers. The dish was worse than when you made it, but surely a bit of improvisation wouldn't hurt, he's been on the road for quite some time so Aether know how to fix and use his creativity—
In the end, you watched as your blonde companion held a dish that was not only burnt, but also dry and practically dehydrated. The ingredients used had incorrect proportions and you swore you saw a large chunk of it deteriorated from using his Electro powers on accident. Despite your protests, he states that surely it wouldn't taste so bad—
It was horrible and he had to throw up while you and Paimon had to rub circles on his back, your tiny floating companion worried but also pretty upset that you both decided to make a dish without a proper recipe instead of something simple to cook or something you've made before. She states that even she would've thought twice on making a different dish instead of trying to fix the already ruined one.
"My bad, but i'm fine, i'm fine... Eugh. Nothing I haven't handled before, i've honestly had much worse. How about we make a quick stop to Mondstadt's Good Hunter? It's not too far, we have some Mora to spare. We're better off just asking Sara for something to eat rather than risking another injury or throwing up in our sleep."

Stained lips
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This one I made for my very good friend @flowerie-lumi , I hope you enjoy it<3 thank you for being my inspiration (also this art was my inspiration)
Pairing: Kazuha X Fem!reader
Warnings: S M U T without any plot, curse words. It's still considered very soft and cute I think
Type: Drabble
Word count: 871 words
Summary: oh what your pink lipstick does to him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
God he looks so good with swollen lips and your lipstick stained on them. The way his eyes are still half closed while his eyebrows are fully relaxed, he’s asking for more kisses even if his lips are already so swollen. The small bit of saliva covering his lips make them look even more delicious, who wouldn’t want to kiss them more? You lean in and press your lips against his again, immediately you feel him kiss you back, hands finding their way to your waist to pull you closer. He pulls you fully on top of his lap, his hands trailing down to your ass, softly squeezing it.
God his lips are addicting, his touches are addicting, his noises are addicting, he is addicting. You pull away to gasp for some air, his eyes now looking at you with such lust, such need. “You taste so good.” He quietly says, eyes already looking back down at your lips before they look back up at your eyes. “More.” You watch him immediately lean in again and he presses his lips on yours once more. It feels desperate, the way he kisses you. The way his tongue slips inside almost immediately, the way needy little noises leave his swollen lips and the way his teeth softly nibble your bottom lip.. This alone already makes you realize what he truly wants. Yet even if that wouldn’t give you enough hints, his hands would. The grip onto your body gentle yet with a touch of lust. Gripping your waist tightly, groping your ass lustfully and stroking over any exposed skin he can find with such gentle fingers.
This time you pull away from the kiss and your eyes catch the small bit of saliva between you and Kazuhas lips break its connection. The boy before you looks at you with those same lustful eyes, asking you to continue without using any words. You grab the bottom of your shirt and lift it up, removing it from your body and his eyes immediately trail over your body with such love and lust for it. His left hand softly holds onto your waist while the other explores your every curve and every skin texture. “You’re so gorgeous, my dove. Indescribably beautiful.” His lips find their way on your neck, pressing soft kisses here and there and creating small marks on your empty canvas. You can’t help but put a hand on his head, stroking through his long locks of hair, loving how it looks when it’s out of its usual ponytail. Your hand grabs onto Kazuha’s hand, softly stroking over his burn scars before pressing them against your chest as an invitation. The kisses pressed against your neck get more intense as his scarred hand squeezed your breast. “Stunning.” He whispers before both his hands move to your back to unclip your bra and fully remove it from your body. “Touch me more..” You softly speak out, your lips also just as swollen but still needy enough for more.
“As you wish, my love.”
His lips trail kisses down your neck to your collarbones until it eventually lands on your chest. You let out a small mewl the moment his tongue flicks over your nipple before his lips are fully around it. He sucks on it, your other nipple getting attention from his hand, squeezing and tugging on it gently. Your filthy mouth let’s more noises out, more moans and each sounding needier than the other. Your upper body feels so good being touched by the love of your life, your pussy is drenched because of all the attention he’s giving you. But you’re not dumb, you also know the effect you’re giving your lover. The tent in his pants is visibly shown and you can’t help but press your hand against it, softly palming him through his layers of fabric. You hear a soft whimper out of his mouth followed up with a; “fuck~”, something you love to hear whenever you touch him. Curse words like that, come out of his mouth so effortlessly beautiful and lustful. “Dove.. it feels good.. but I bet your lips would feel even better around it..” His words send shivers down your spine and even more tingles down your pussy. At this point you know your panties are completely soaked but you don’t care, he will remove them soon anyways.
“I’ll do anything for you.” You tell him without any shame. Kazuha lifts his head and looks into your eyes for a hot minute before he leans in again for another kiss. In the meantime his hands unbutton your pants and open your zipper before one of his hands slip inside your pants and underwear. Shamelessly you let out a moan once you feel his finger touch your clit gently. You feel his lips curl up and you already know what he’s about to say. “You’re so wet.” Despite knowing damn well he was going to say that, you still get goosebumps from his words. “Cause of you..” you say, a blush covering your cheeks.
“I know, but you started with those gorgeous pink lips of yours you know? Teasing me with them.. Now shall we continue?”

Thank you for reading <3
Much love,

WEIGHTLESS
Tumblr media
— ꒰ synopsis ꒱ — in which you‘re dancing in the rain with kazuha.
— ꒰ word count ꒱ — ~ 500 words
— ꒰ genre ꒱ — fluff, gn! reader, kissing
Tumblr media
from blossomed clouds, in a trice, a deluge chorus of rain fell unexpectedly, steadily drizzling down..
..one by one, almost mist like.
the gentle pitter patter of the rain fell on your shoulders and carried on weight as you walked, hand in hand, on a silent night in Inazuma, together with your boyfriend by your side.
faintly, you listened to the rain drumming against the roof, silently kissing along the leaves and overcasting the city of a grey color.
the fragrant of it all, earthy and clean, gentle and tranquil, yet behind the veil of fog, you had comprehended its importance, the rousing through the trees, a song so confidently sung, the caress of plants, the flora, a clear, inaudible vortex of life.
only after your skin fought the freeze of the rain, you had registered its cold, the convincing breeze had sheltered you, intertwined and sensed your vitality.
"kazuha!" you panic, soliciting your urge with a tug on his hand, "we should seek for shelter." the wind was ambient, swirling through his unruly hair as he greeted your words with nothing but kindness, a smile, so fundamental as the rain itself, settling on his lips.
"and why is that?" kazuha spoke gently and held your hand in his palm, beginning to slowly walk around you, the wind, responsible for this, was carrying him on and stirring his emotions, the gift of loving you, the sway of your clothes and that he too, was as free as the rain.
"doesn't it uplift your spirit?" his unexpected sentence arouse more questions in your brain, yet he continued, holding your hand up and pirouetting your body, dancing as one.
"what if we get sick?"
you peered up at the silvery sky, the pearly glow of a summer night swept across your shivering skin and gently, brought your soul to a raw, pacifying presence of mind.
kazuha did not respond, not necessary. Instead he tugged you closer into his embrace and delicately placed his lips on your forehead, planting a kiss on your damp skin. "then we shall get sick together too."
his eyes secured yours when his hand firmly cradled your warm cheek, pulling you close to the sweetness which were his soft lips, his touch, his love and gentleness, benevolently merging on your skin.
the fresh air, giving life to all and your lungs expanded of a natural refill. Your hands rested on his chest before closing around his neck, returning his love.
the atmosphere, little by little, deepens throughout the ombre of greys and blues with the softened accents of white. The rain, bristling on your kissing bodies, yet each raindrop was not to be perceived, they faded.
because right now, in this fleeting little moment, on a silent night in Inazuma, it was only you that mattered, together with kazuha, slowly dancing in midst the gloomy weather.
with nothing but love between the promised clouds, the cold rain and the hidden celestial bodies when you dabbled from puddle to puddle, laughing together in ways that mattered and kept themselves in your memories, turning into stories to be told even after years gone by ..
.. for once, urging your inner child to finally come out to play.

i bet you think about me—part three
genshin men as your ex
part one. part two.
ayato thinks of you whenever he’s being pressured to marry someone. a marriage is an alliance, a bond, a promise, and he’s next in line to make one and benefit his family. this is what his advisors, counselors, family members, tell me. it’s what you heard when you were with him, except you weren’t fawned over as an official partner. no, ayato was warned against you—you weren’t from high society, quite the opposite, in fact—which was why he broke things off, and unintentionally smashed your heart into bits and pieces. he thinks about you when he must consider marriage, which has become much too often as of late.
kazuha thinks about you when the crux returns after a long journey overseas. he’s sailing home, and his crewmates all have someone waiting for them on the dock. everyone, except for him, because you’re not there, and no matter how many times kazuha fooled himself into thinking you would be, you’re not. he knows this when the dock is a dot on the horizon; he knew this in the middle of an open sea. he let you go and you’re gone, slipped through this fingers, and he thinks about how you looked standing there while staring at an empty spot.

You longed for the emotions that was snatched from your grasp, desperately clinging to the way the things you’ve wanted so bad, honestly, there were much more things you needed to worry about that time when you were sole heir in [L/N] clan, one that was being constantly challenged over and over again.
You’ve fought for so long for your proof of truly being right for it, while children spent days with their friends or were out with their parents getting food you were being trained relentlessly by your parents that were only able to conceive you before they were struck with infertility. You were the only one to exist in their eyes, unable to have many children for the bountiful clan you were forced to choose a suitor for the marriage.
“I don’t want to choose anyone…” You whined, you were only 13 at the time and the idea of being bounded to someone for the rest of your life caused you anxiety, “Well, you need to pick right now.” Your parents commanded, some stook out to you such as Ayato from the Kamisato Clan, you remembered him the familial meetings however, one left you to stare for a bit longer.
It was boy with platinum blond hair, you hadn’t really taken any notice to him physically other than what you had heard of his family being well off–In fact, he offered himself to you in an act save his family. You took notice of his courage, dedication to his family, and his financial situation. With someone like him as your husband, you could have your freedom as he truly wouldn’t be in control. Your little brain was unaware of the seriousness of it all, other than being told you guys would be together for as long as the two of you lived, you didn’t truly know what this marriage had meant.
At the time, they were one of the with history imbedded into the most extravagant parts of Inazuma and thus when the two of you were to meet the roles were discussed among the two of you. Only 14 at the time, you had questioned the many obstacles that were slowly beginning to put off the idea of you becoming a soldier alongside your parents and instead, you would be put into the position fit for becoming home bound.
Your family was the first to tell you of the situation between the two clans, around the time of your 15th birthday, the Kaedehara coming together with [L/N] clan in order to help try and save face, the heir found himself very much ready to accept the marriage even though you found great despair in the idea of losing your freedom to the act of becoming just someone who was housebound and childbearing, you wanted more than anything to explore the lands beyond Inazuma, becoming just like your parents and take their position was one ingrained as the future you needed to be in.
This wedding, only going on a week after your 15th birthday, would be the only time you’ve seen him besides the one portrait him shown by your parents at the meeting. You were worried for the situation in itself, you yearned that the boy you were marrying was one who would not withhold you of your freedom and yet, there was no real choice as it was left to your husband in the end.
You remembered your wedding day, you were dressed into the traditional wear for a wedding, looking at yourself in the mirror as you found yourself being put under the expectations of the clan to represent yourself as abundance and grace to the people as you were making your way to the groom.
The act of marriage was draining, from the entirety of the ceremony and the act of keeping your eyes on the boy before you. All you did was stare at his lips, unable to look into his eyes. Nothing could stop you from this moment however, and now you would be swearing your life to this person before you, you looked at the one your life was now sworn to and nothing more brought you joy other than the hopes that your significant other at this moment would agree to the condition of you becoming a general in order to replace your parents.
You remembered the night after the wedding, the two of you leaving the event to head outside and sit to look out at the bright moon above you. You were both only a couple of inches away from one another, only glancing at one another frequently with the shared awkwardness. You wanted to talk to him, more like demand your freedom since that was now left to your husband and what he wanted for your life together. Without his permission your parents would stay in their positions until told by the boy you were now married to.
“Can I tell you something?”
You raised a brow at this, a feeling of confliction on your face as you questioned what on earth, he could say to you at this moment that was more important than what you wanted to ask to him at this very second. The young man looked at you with soft eyes, he took a deep breath as he looked at you while you continued to face forward, you tried your hardest to hide the look subtle disappoint was written all over your face.
“Of course.”
You stated, not knowing what to truly say as you found yourself lost in your mind with the idea of you losing your guaranteed position as general if you couldn’t immediately find out his plans of the life you had. You hated the power he had, not knowing that much about him hadn’t helped either as you looked at him with a look confusion.
“I understand that our time together is nothing short of an act of helping the Kaedehara clan from falling into obscurity…Nonetheless, I am glad you’re here with me.”
“Because I am now bounded to you?” You spat, it was harsh and a very on the spot decision as you felt irritation crawl up your spine as you looked at the boy, “I know my purpose and I just want to get this over with so, I can explore Teyvat.” You explained. Kazuha took note of your hostility, wanting to try and ease the mood as he gave you a small smile, “I have no intentions of keeping you bounded to me…I want you to all to your hearts content.” You felt your cheeks lightly heat up; you turned your head to him with your hands now fidgeting with one another in embarrassment from the words. Your eyes widened to look at him in awe at what he was saying to you.
“My intentions with you are completely up to what you want, and I am in your debt for choosing to help the Kaedehara Clan.” You found yourself feeling a bit down after that, this was an act of kindness that you pushed against your parents and now that he was more willing to let you explore you found yourself longing for some type of path to help become more closer to him.
“Do you want to travel with me?” You questioned, you looked into the boy’s eyes with a face of sympathy, “I would love to.” The blond said, it was a very pleasant tone that you couldn’t help but look forward to everyday, you then turned to look back at the moon above while Kazuha’s cheeks began to turn pink wondering what to say.
“You know, the first time I laid eyes on you, I was starstruck. You were like the archons coming to bless me with all that I’ve asked for…You were the most magnificent person in the way your act of kindness had illuminated my future and your smile that lit up the world…”
You were quick to call out to him, “I didn’t smile the whole ceremony…” You explained to him, nothing to truly combat such a lie as you found yourself now dismissive, Kazuha was quick to adjust himself to your looks where he was quick to grab your shoulders that made you look at him in result. You gasped at the sudden movement, looking into his eyes with confusion, you watched the scene before you, looking into his eyes with a look of pure curiosity as you analyzed the features on his face.
The young man you had married, who went by the name of Kazuha, was a sight for sore eyes to say the very least. Blessed with skin that looked as soft as silk with uniquely placed moles on his face, platinum blond hair with a single red streak on the right side of his face, the look in eyes were conveyed with his red eyes that resembled so familiar to the leaves of Autumn and even more so, his voice that cradled like you a newborn.
You looked at the young man, nothing to truly say as you were enveloped in astonishment for him in the moonlight with look of seriousness on his face. You looked at Kazuha intricately, every feature opening a door to a new feeling that had begun to overwhelm you. Kazuha found his hand glide to your jaw, where he cupped your cheek with a slow rub of his thumb on the highest part of your cheek bone.
“When I saw you in those pictures, when I watched you fight against those who were upcoming soldiers never standing a chance against you, the smile that shined brightly in the sea of depression that laid burden to your glow. You were pure elegancy, refined, and your personality was full of life and warmth. I had never seen anyone so inspiring, and I knew in that moment I had to get to know you better…”
Kazuha continued to stroke your cheek, the illumination of the moon had only begun to display the subtle beauty of the man tenfold, opening feelings you had never felt before as you tried to your eyes away from counting the moles, or the shine of his lips, or the lovely strands, or even the way his eyelids began to become heavy.
“Every time I look at you, I am more and more captivated by your beauty and grace, and I am still in awe of you. You are truly a masterpiece. When I saw you in your wedding attire for the first time, you took my breath away. I had never seen anyone more lovely than you. You looked like an angel, and I couldn't help but feel overjoyed to be marrying such a person.”
You couldn’t feel something prickle at your eyes, you began to blink at an alarming rate as you began to question what in the world was going on with you, “Oh.” You cooed out softly, feeling the tears rush down your face before Kazuha went to wipe them, you instinctively flinched away before Kazuha reached for your shoulders and dragged you back into his arms where he had begun to hold you tight to him.
Kazuha looked into your eyes, the red glow was apparent as it was enough to let Kazuha’s hands fall to your waist while yours laid on his chest, you looked into his with quivering smile before Kazuha gave you one that caused your every barrier to be wiped away as if a wave had taken down the sturdy walls of your castle where the flooding of emotions had continued to envelope you.
“I love you, my beloved.”
You sighed softly, “Oh, my.” Before this moment you wouldn’t have look twice at Kazuha, and now the thought of staring at him for the rest of your life was one you had only hoped for. You let your half-lidded eyes began to close alongside Kazuha’s, the two of you still looking at one another before you felt the pair soft lips of your now husband against yours, at this moment nothing had mattered at this moment. You let yourself close off from all worries once you felt the lips of your significant other began to quell all your worries.
From that night on, you were continuing your path to exploring the many wonders of Teyvat with the help of your very supportive husband by your side. You were put through with rigorous training, as the call of being of general was one your parents were still cemented in, you fought against enemies of Inazuma alongside the exploring of Teyvat during your late teen years. Kazuha would stay in Inazuma at this time, wondering about you from afar as he sent you letters of encouragement after each battle has ended.
Very soon you were becoming a general, you were 5 Years strong with your man, your relationship was as loving as it got for the two of you until that day. You were there when it was called, due to your status as general however, similar to Kujou Sara, you were told to keep your vision and continue on with what your duties were told of you. You weren’t given initial word on the situation, a late day as your job grew to be more and more of pain your back, yet you must continue in order to preserve your name and make sure Kazuha’s father is well taken care as the time for his passing begins to draw closer.
You kept to yourself about the situation until the city of Inazuma was all summoned for a search for a fugitive from the law. You were called in second to Kujou Sara, who would be sent to enforce the Vision Hunt Decree after the incident happened earlier that day, here you were in front of the shogun who looked down at you with hints of disappointment and anger once the almighty laid eyes on you. You were quick to take a knee to the one you followed in dear admiration. There would be no way you would be able to formulate for a response for what the Shogun told you.
“Your husband has been sentenced to execution.”
You were quick to feel your heart stop, the sweat from before that you were drenched in due to training and the blood in you had ran cold at the call of such a situation. You knew better than to argue and even more so, you knew there was nothing for you to truly doo as you found yourself slowly getting off your knee, you felt yourself become queasy and you looked into the Shogun’s eyes with a look of shock. The shogun took notice of your face, “It seems you were unaware of this.” You nodded at this, wondering what had happened whilst you were out training the day after Kazuha told you he would be out with his close friend.
“After the execution of my Musou No Hitotachi bestowed on his friend after trying to strike against I, the Raiden Shogun, and breaking numerous of the laws that are of the lowest of low for someone married into such an illustrious clan.” The Shogun dare not speak his name, you had put your weapon on the floor as you found yourself filled with immense emotion that could damage your reputation of your job as general and the clan your family has spent years perfecting.
You tossed your weapon for many reasons, one definitely being that regardless of everything you would indeed call for a challenge against the Shogun with a never-ending goal to kill them, there was nothing truly holding you back as you had nothing left to lose as you wiped the sweat off of your forehead and your face to hide the angered look on your face. “It seems he was able to snatch the vision from the now dead traitor, he has fled Inazuma as well as him being a vision wielder himself. Know that I’m disgusted and very much disappointed in what that man has become.”
You looked into the eyes of the Shogun; you felt the tears well up in your eyes as you tried to look for a reason to stand on your own two feet at this moment. The realization setting on you with immense fear and anguish as you tried to find meaning and some type of reasoning to keep it together.
Shogun sighed looked down at you, no emotion or care for your predicament as she then continued to explain to situation to you, “We have swept through yours and his father’s homes in search of him and any lead to where he has gone. We will be putting up the wanted posters and there will be a search for the man known as Kaedehara Kazuha.” The way the Shogun had spat his name that felt like the slur of the worst kind.
“We will be intercepting the mail you and his father receive, in case he tries to contact either of you. That traitor would only be putting the two of in more trouble than he has already caused. If you see him, you will report him, turn him in, and if needed…To end that traitor’s life.” You weren’t there, something in your mind kept you there like the strings were sewn into your veins that moved you like a puppet. You let yourself blink, you were staring for so long to stop yourself from the tears, you looked into the Shogun’s eyes before balling your hand into a fist and brought to your heart.
“Yes, Mighty Shogun.”
You bowed then were dismissed, left to wander the empty city of Inazuma as those who populated were in fear of the Shogun’s hand, you made your way first to Kazuha’s father. The man was sick, in promise of wedding you would use all your money help the older man from falling ill and even more, protect him with all your heart.  You found yourself looking at the older man, whose eyes were red and puffy from the tears that ran down his cheeks, it was harsh sight as you found your own heart beginning to collapse in on itself as you looked at the man with nothing more empathetic stare as you aided him to sleep before helping clean up his home after the soldiers had no care for helping the father of traitor.
You finished up and began to head home. You remembered the sight when you opened the door, the look of disarrangement from the soldiers who shared no care in what was being delt to you for being married to the man to was now removed from the citizenship of Inazuma. Alas, there you wear feeling the home’s disfigurement as another reason to let the pain quell you into ever longing defeat that waited you.
You let yourself fall to your knees, with the papers on the ground surrounding you like the ruined nest, in that moment you let the situation take over you. You let yourself cry like a child, screaming and whining for your husband in the empty home the two of you shared. This type of crying, it was rare for you to let this happen and with Kazuha, every sentenced he uttered and every call of your name that slipped from his lips left you in a mess.
You cried for anything to hold you up and even more as you continued to cry out for anything bring you back to early this morning where you would’ve done everything in your power to restart everything and give you the chance to be engulfed in the young man.
It had been a year since the establishment of the Vision Hunt Decree and closing of Inazuma city borders. Tension grew rampant in the walls, even more as the year had fallen on you.
You were remarried, your parents begging you to do so after Kazuha’s father had passed just a month after the calling for the head of Kaedehara Kazuha. You had no real choice, with one stroke of your parents would be able to rewrite your position as General and you would be disgarded with your vision snatched away from you.
The only thing keeping your ambition going was your job as General, the idea of losing your position was one that you had your heart ache in confusion and confliction as you were forced into the position, however, here you were latching onto the one thing you had semi control over with the quick answer for marriage.
You assembled to meet your new husband, one of a different clan that was still noble and held the Shogun up in their minds similar to that of worshiping the Archons. You found yourself uncaring of the situation, the idea of marrying in under a year was one you wanted to hold off as long as possible, on the other hand, your parents needed you married in under a month in order for your clan to stay true to reputation of upholding the world of the Shogun as general.
That’s when you married, one of the samurai from Raiden’s army, you were quick to choose another outfit for the wedding as your past wedding outfit was one that was kept for the memory of Kazuha. The year had been beating you with nothing left besides your body that suffered the scars and bruises from battle with the different armies and the mental battle that had eaten away at your desire to continue life as you know it with no left of love for anything.
You and your now husband were getting the photos taken for the home after having to remove all the pictures of Kazuha, your heart ached as you snatched one up before putting that picture with some left over poetry in a bow and burying on the hill where you and Kazuha shared a kiss that brought you joy and kept you in high spirits whenever you kissed the man your heart longed for so long for.
You, and the man you were married to, were on scene for the collection of a vision, keeping the people back in case of any rebellions coming to try and stop the act of removing a vision from ones who were not of high status. You found yourself watching as one shot from the crowd to collect the vision, the two of you watched in awe as the blond had held the vision in their hand looking up at the Shogun.
You were in awe and shock as you watched both soldiers who guarded the one, they were removing the vision from spring into action to try and collect the one who was going against the law of the Shogun. You watched as their blade was drawn, taking both of the soldiers with ease before the mighty Shogun made their way towards the blond.
With no vision they were still able to harness elemental energy in their palms, the way the people had reacted to the Shogun’s call for their eternity was nothing of a warning before the shot of electricity began its way to the sky whilst being released from the sword that the Shogun had now brought out. The summoning was elegant, when held up the sword radiating with determination of the Shogun as she called out to the blond before them.
“You will be inlaid upon this statue.”
The crowd gasped at the words, with the taking of the blond you and the soldier you were spending your time with were now to call for the residence of Inazuma to return home as this could result in a rebellion. Your calls were to make sure the public was hidden from such tragedies, the idea of eternity laid in the minds of all who obeyed the Shogun’s orders.
While the people were rushed home you were able to watch the fights conclusion, your eyes wide as the blond was now laid out on the floor, it left you in fear with your feet cemented to the floor as you watched the summoning of energy into the sword that was going to brought down on them. You felt emotions of pain and longing for such a rebellion, yet your duty called to you and dragged you away.
“We must hurry, beloved.”
You were dragged along, your face still burdened with the memories of those passed and even more, you were there to witness all the Archons had to offer to you at this moment. The pain and grief-stricken look as you and the people were rushed away from the sight and continued to be pushed on back to their homes. You had worry, nonetheless, you would be called again by the Shogun in the recent events to help guard the palace, you awaited your calling at home for tomorrow.
It was nighttime, the man you were legally bounded to was across the table from you, instead of looking at him with all the passion a loving significant other should have you were staring into your favorite drink that lulled you to memories that have stayed dormant in you. You yearned for the look of fiery passion in his eyes in those of the one who sat before you, a uniqueness about them that kept you enamored in their appearance that could be as simple as moles, and yet, here you were finding the cup as the apple of your eye more than the man before you.
You were disgusted in him at this moment, being lost in your mind did you no good as you were left to look down into the cup with a longing feeling. “Are you alright, beloved?” You nodded, no words to say as the act of talking to him had repulsed you beyond the edge of the universe. You looked into the man’s eyes, a smile on your face that reeked of sweetness that hid the scowl you’d have after he left. “Good…” The man sighed with relief before giving you a smile, “I can’t wait for you to have my children.” A soft peck on the forehead as your parents cooed in response to the one you would be carrying.
You hated the remark of children, you wanted to avoid this as becoming a general would guarantee that you wouldn’t have to endure them and continue your life with the freedom of your wealthy inheritance and to leave Inazuma. You shared a bed with the creatin who wanted nothing more of you than being an incubator, nothing to truly be excited for the days following and even more so at this night where you found your days being wasted by the dreams that let you in the grace of being in Kazuha’s arms once more with the nightmare of reality coming to cut your short of any type of happiness that you had longed for when you were of that young age.
You decided it was that time of night, when your husband left to do late night training where you left through the back door and went to where you had been going every time you had a night off. You took in the smell of the night, it was cold and yet, so nostalgic. You looked over a high peak of Inazuma where you were once on your wedding night with the only man you could ever love to help sooth you in ways no person could never imagine. Even years after the feeling continued to eat you alive, increasing frantically as you sat down in this same spot where you were once at your peak of happiness.
The world was dull around you, of course, without those bright and passionate eyes that looked over your expressions with joy as you read the writings that left you immersed in the beauty of the world you had never truly seemed to notice with the young man who brought you so much. Now you were back where this feeling originates, no spark to pick you up as you look over the edge to see the bright moon familiar to that night.
You sighed, letting yourself ease into the position before feeling the presence of another come close, “I apologize but this place is occupied.” You explained, your eyes not going far back as you continued to look forward with an uncaring face, there you were just looking forward as the ideas of having nothing more to do with your life beat you into submission.
You listened for their footsteps to continue, soon hearing the grass underneath them crushed as the person took their spot next to you with only a couple of inches keeping the two of you away from one another. You looked over at the lit-up city this night, the warm lights of the homes there could never replicate the feeling no matter how large your home was there was nothing that could replicate the feeling of being in the warmly lit home with the person to keep you warm that night, no light needed whatsoever.
“Are you okay?”
The person next to you spoke, their voice was raspy most likely exhaustion taken over as it was a long night, there voice seemed hardened by hardship faced such as screaming or excessive crying, something you had become quite intertwined with as the fact that the one you only loved was now gone and even more was someone who showed interest in you to open your eyes to the beauty of yourself.
“No.”
You were honest, there was no need to lie to the stranger next to you as you were quite enveloped in their voice that kept you nice and comfortable, honesty would be best to keep the conversation going as you longed to hear anyone actually want to talk to you outside of work or your arranged marriage that you wanted nothing to do with even after getting to know them.
You sighed before the person next you chuckled, “Is there something wrong?” You nodded at this eagerly, “There is…There’s always something wrong these days…” The person next to you had looked you closely, you felt their eyes on you and yet, you continued to look forward as you had no real words to say to him. “Well, can you tell me what’s wrong? I’m great at listening.”
You thought for a minute at this, you felt your heart ache at all the feelings you felt and even more, the idea of coming to spill your guts out to the person next to you was something you hadn’t expected as you questioned what you were on about in the first place. “I’m in love with someone who is not my current husband…” The person raised a brow, “Current Husband?”
You nodded at this, “Yes, sadly, I was forced to remarry in order to make sure my lover’s father did not die before he could return to say goodbye…” You felt yourself aching, your ribs closing around your organs like you were holding something in that was practically eating you alive. “I needed to keep my clan’s reputation as a general and as a heir…So, I let myself be wed…”
The person next to you sighed, “That sounds terrible…” You nodded at this, “What happened to your past husband?” You perked up at this, you could go on for hours about the man you’ve longed to be around for centuries as Kaedehara Kazuha was one for the books with his personality that made you feel you so war inside the act of a pyro vision couldn’t even compete, or the fact his writings were ones you kept secretly buried under where you sat as you reread them to hold the memory even closer to heart after your separation.
“Not in Inazuma…Not after his head was called for by the Shogun.” They hummed, "Do you believe they’ll come back?” You raised a brow at this before rolling your eyes the acknowledgment of it, “I don’t think so…” They hummed again, “Why not?” You rolled your neck as you adjusted your position to a more comfortable one, “I don’t think I’m worth coming back for. Especially since I’m remarried…I don’t know if he’ll still love me the same.”
The person next to you smiled at this, their hands were quick to your face, they turned you to look at them with this longing look in their eyes with a soft smile as the person you found your voice began to make your throat swell out of the idea of being with them once more. You cooed to yourself as you questioned how you even felt at such a situation, you almost wanted to cry at looking into their face.
Kaedehara was a sight for the sorest eyes, his beauty that he held with ease had often times left you befuddled by such and even more now as age had beautiful laid their graceful hands on him with the most attentiveness. The young man’s hair was much longer, placed into a high ponytail with his bangs and hair coming to cover his ears, he had a lovely face to start off with and with age it continued to find its way as the scars on his face never deterred yet, added to the ruggedness that came with some of the worn-down material of his clothing.
You looked into his soft eyes; half lidded with a bright glint in the beautiful bright red eyes that glazed over you as your felt almost everything drown out your senses just leaving his voice alone for your tortured heart. “How I missed you…” The way Kazuha said your name made your lips fall into uncontrollable pout before you felt the tears prickle your eyes.
You didn’t know what to say, the way your tongue was tied into the tightest of knots, you wanted to say something to bring attention to the way you felt for the man before you. You made a quick decision, you launched yourself at the young man before you with your arms wrapping around his neck.
Kazuha let you take him down on his back, you laid your head in the crook of his neck as you began to cry furiously as everything, squeezing him tightly with the fueling feeling that he might never return. It was almost as if he wasn’t real, you weren’t touching him, but you remembered pulling yourself up to look down at him where Kazuha removed his arms from around your waist to your face where he pulled you into his lips with the largest smile on his face.
You felt the tears hit your cheek, as you let yourself get pulled tighter into the kiss that enveloped you like you were a child, you whined into the kiss as you were so desperate for more of the love Kazuha had to offer to you. At this moment however, the two of you had to pull away from one another.
“Moments like this can’t last forever…” Kazuha cried out; his voice sounded almost relieved as the tears leaked from his eyes at the thought of being in your presence again. You thought of that for a moment, a swiftness in you that left you with sense of longing for him. “Let's run away together.” You told him, he looked at you in bewilderment as you yourself looking down at him with yearning eyes.
Kazuha stuttered, “What about your husband?” The young man looked at you with pleading eyes, to forget all duties and come into his open arms that only unleashed themselves for you.  Forget him–All he wants for me is to be housebound and stuck in Inazuma for the rest of my days as his incubator!” You would never open up this much, even your closest that you knew of had never known about this part of the relationship.
However, this was Kazuha you were talking about, you were practically opening the pages to your written story get torn away and replaced with the writings for your future endeavors with Kazuha. Kazuha’s eyes widened at this, as much as he wanted you to come with him on his travels and more, to come with him and spend time with the young man, there was nothing he could do legally as you had divorced Kazuha under the fact, he was now an outlaw that was granted to you by the Shogun.
“Your marriage–” You barked at him, “Take me with you!” You cried out to him; you were practically in a mess of all the emotions you felt at this moment. Even if Kazuha was better at covering up such a thing as the years had hardened him and made him into the man he was today, there was nothing without your glow and your presence. The yearning to be in your arms again took over him, countless times you two were close to one another while he was hiding, he found himself never fully leaving Inazuma as he longed for your voice to call out for him.
Kazuha was smitten, absolutely infatuated with your existence, there was nothing stopping him at this moment where you and he could leave with one another and escape. “When the Vision Hunt Decree is rid of, I will take you to lands beyond Inazuma–Not just for fighting, but to take in nature as yours.” You nodded eagerly at this, you looked into the young man’s eyes before questioning the decree, “The end?” Kazuha hushed you, “Yes…A couple of friends of mine are coming together…”
The young man explained to you, putting your hands on your mouth in astonishment as you questioned what on earth he was on about, “We are going to take on the Riden Shogun…We will end that decree, and we will travel the world.” You found your hands on his shoulders, his hands around your waist, you let your face fall onto his his below you as you cried out in joy for the plan Kazuha had laid before you.
You decided to wait for this plan to come into fruition…
“My dear…” You felt your eyebrows furrow at the nickname, what could you possible say as you looked at your weapon with a longing for someone. When you found your eyes slowly looking up through your lashes to look at the man you questioned him, “Yes, husband of mine?” The man scoffed at such a phrasing, calling you out on the emotions buried in you that you hoped he wouldn’t spill in front of you for your heart to be on display and dissected by the one who you found no desire to be around.
“Your sadness for that wanderer that tried to ruin Inazuma…I noticed it when that blond laid on the ground and looked as if you were guilty or resentment for what you were doing.” The man spat, you almost cried out in a relief and so, you barked out a laugh at the man to hide the feeling of sympathy you felt for the blond that laid on the ground hoping that regardless of it all they would be granted the eternity of love and affection even if they were to do such a thing to the mighty Shogun.
“Nonsense. I have my values for my Shogun that exceed my love for even you, my dear.” It was a joke since you truly had no love for the man next to you or feelings of belonging under the hand of the Shogun. You felt the mention of long sting you, a common feeling as you watched couples frolic with one another only finding happiness in those relations whilst you were alone.
The feeling of love you held for the man who had stayed in your heart so lovingly was one that hit you with a smidge of guilt as you thought of him while guardian with your significant other, “Really?” You nodded, chuckling at the questioning that came with a soft whine, “But of course. My duties come before all; never will they ever be dissuaded by such.”
This was true.
What could you really say? The year after the deeply beloved man who had grown around your heart like an armor that kept you emotionally and physically protected, with an aura that they blessed you with when you had nothing but forced on duties, and the love that grew with the 5 years of marriage had brought you more and more joy than thee man next to you could never even think of reaching in your eyes.
“I understand.” The man sighed to himself, he pushed the loose brown strands from his face where you got to look at his nice fair skin and pretty brown eyes, you acknowledged that he was handsome yet, no beauty could catch your eye quite like Kazuha as his true excellency was not just a brief look but an in depth analyzation of everything that any man can bring to make you swoon for them.
“Do you think you’ll ever love me as much as you respect the Shogun?” You scoffed at this, thinking he could compete with the almighty woman that hailed down on Inazuma city, “we live under the ruling of such a God. We need to respect her more than we can love anyone so we can live in peace.” You looked into the man’s eyes, he sighed at your response before immediately changing his face to one of stern and a look of frustration as he got up from the table, “We should pay attention to our work.” You nodded at this and the two of you made your way over.
It was the night as of now, all had been settled from what you heard from Guards on the patrol at that time and in fact they had noticed the blond being escorted by Kujou Sara into the place of the Shogun. You, and the man you lived with, stayed near the gates. You were both behind them, just watching and waiting for something to happen. It wasn’t long before some energy was shot through the air that had caught all the guard's attention, you all flinched at this moment as the closest went over to the door whilst the near end rushed towards the gates.
You found yourself watching as all the guards collapsed, the air had become dense and like dominoes you all were beginning t fall to the ground, the air was one you were unfamiliar with as you found yourself getting hit was such had begun to clog up your throat. You were quick to fall to your knees, grabbing your throat as Kaito rushed towards your side, holding you to stop your face from hitting the ground before he soon fell to unconsciousness.
You looked around, all the guards still choking on the dense air that had become one a fear of any as some began to reach out to the one who opened the doors of the Shogun’s place. You all cried out in pain, groaning and moans that howled out only to fall on the deaf ears of the blond who passed you all.
You continued to hear of the noises that burdened you, your place on the floor with your head cradled under the chest of the one you looked on with unloving eyes, you found yourself more than hating the burden that life had become on you. You watched from afar as the Shogun began to make her way over to the blond, you wanted to say something, but as the dense air had grown thicker, there was nothing you could truly do besides let the darkness swallow you whole.
For all of Inazuma, that day was a moment of celebration for the Vision Hunt Decree and the gates of Inazuma to open once more to allow people their freedoms from within the walls and out as people were blessed with the future of their own versions of eternities to go and pursue.
You were bed ridden for a while, all soldiers inside of the palace were being taken care of and after some days most had begun to awake, there you laid in the bed, waiting for one or someone to come and comfort you. You were sat up on your bad, your back against the wall before slipping on the slippers that now quelled your feet, you didn’t truly know what to do as you stood up from your bed and dusted off the white clothing you were dressed in as you adjusted the long kimono like sleeves before making your way out of the building to look outside at all the people.
Some were soldiers that you looked after, reconnecting with loved ones as they cried in their arms with the cheers for those who were coming out of the healing area, you watched on in awe as the people were being cared for by those that had missed and those who had done the same for you. You felt your heart warm up as you watched the children run to their family dressed in the white robes.
You looked on with your face almost scrunching up in pure jealousy before feeling a hand on your shoulder, you turned to look at the man you were married to, “With the demolishment of the laws such as the Vision Hunt Decree and the borders of Inazuma now opened for all to come…It seems as if everyone was finally free and happy to live in the hearts of their eternity.” You smiled at this, thinking of your eternity with Kazuha–It being cut off after the man who was legally bounded to you planted a kiss on your cheek, you found this feeling fleeting as the kiss gave you nothing but a reminder of the one who was now gone and even more as it was killing the reasoning for your own eternity before you found yourself scanning the crowd one more time.
You almost cried out in joy, your eyes landing a familiar platinum blond hair that congratulated those soldiers who were coming out of the same building as you with a large smile on his face that let you know of his joyful look in his face. You watched on in admiration as his words for just as beautiful as he was, the aura that warmed up everything inside of you and brought joy to the next day as you felt yourself hiccup.
You immediately put a hand over your mouth, your eyes were beginning to grow ever weaker as you looked at the young man that only stood a few feet away from you with the same look from before, you acknowledge his bandaged his hand and forearm and the scars on his face. You watched him, your heart pounding against your ribs as you questioned every God in the universe before you found yourself just staring at him.
You found your knees getting weak upon hearing his laughter.
You felt the man you were married to go for your shoulders, you couldn’t stand by as you watched the one you love not to know of your status at this moment. You were quick to run over to him, practically launching yourself over as your weak knees branded you, you kept running however, as fast you could with your arms out and tears began to fall rapidly as you watched the young man only a few feet away.
You cried out for him, “Kazuha!” You were practically sobbing as you ran, nothing could stop you at this moment as you continued cry with your eyes closing only waiting for the impact of your beloved in your embrace. Kazuha was one who hadn’t truly noticed you until you called for his name and even more there was nothing stopping Kazuha from immediately pushing past those in the crowd.
Kazuha yelled out your name in fear, hoping this wasn't another delusion of you and he had heard of you, Kazuha noticed you with the body parts shown covered in scars from the fight for the Shogun’s laws that lead your department from the young man who practically needed you more than anything at this moment.
The two of you cried out to one another as soon as you were broth close enough to see one another, the puffiness of your eyes from crying and the tears that fell gracefully on his cheeks did nothing to help the engulfing of one another in a hug. You felt the young man’s strong arms around you, it was weird feeling Kazuha hold you so tight as his muscles were defined and more sculpted from when you saw last saw him.
Kazuha was holding you up, your legs falling weak as he held you so close to his chest before placing your head below his chin and beginning to let the tears fall not in front of you however, as the years had become so burdened by what had happened that fateful day that Kazuha wished he could’ve done something-Anything to bring you back into his good graces as he held onto you so tightly not wanting to lose you.
You, on the other hand, were a practical stone in front of all and yet here you were with your ugly sobs that came from your throat as Kazuha held you so similar to way you had so longed for from your parents. You found this hug to be the most impactful thing of your life, the long year without Kazuha drained you both immensely and at this moment, something felt so fulfilling to be in one another’s arms.
You felt Kazuha grab your face and pull you away from his chest, you looked deep into the sunken eyes of Kazuha with his face very much the embodiment of beauty that even God’s wouldn’t be able to obtain no matter how many times they tried, with the face still growing with age as his look of ruggedness from his hair that had very much grown to become even longer now tied up as well as his chiseled neck, chest, and shoulders.
Kazuha still had that same face however, no matter how long, he could maintain the beauty he had for the rest of his days as you stared in his eyes with admiration as well as him returning the look with such a gaze that shined of passion and infatuation that only grown from the year as this yearning had only become brighter in brighter as he looked more and more into your eyes.
You found your hands on his chest, feeling a bit before landing on his broad shoulders that let you have a better look of the physique he hid under his clothes; you were soon cut off from the admiration of it all by the feeling of Kazuha’s lips against yours.
You felt the passion in his lips as he pressed them against you with a molding that felt just right for the two of you, the only reason Kazuha ever pull away from such a kiss was to tell you to your face.

Some Kazuha fluff from me (finally!)
Kazuha finds himself intrigued with the the the Alcor's pharmacist. He feels he knows you from somewhere but he just can't remember where. That is, until he spots your very familiar wrist flick and his memory is sparked.
He recalls that the two of you were betrothed since you were children until his father cancelled the engagement shortly after he turned twelve. He remembers paying a visit to your family after dissolving the Kaedahara clan and your mother informing him that you had left to study in Sumeru.
Kazuha confronts you one night during one of the crew's late night celebrations; you were busy at your workspace preparing hangover potions for everyone.
The two of you have that long overdue talk over a pot of Qingxin flower tea, only to find out your feelings for each other never changed over the years.
The next morning, Beidou sees your enjoined hands and she burst out laughing all the way to Mora-Grubber. Apparently, the entire crew has a betting pool on you two.

"Another one? Seriously?"
The judgment was more than evident, the sailor offering nothing more than an apologetic smile as he clasped his hands together. The pharmacist, on the other hand, only eyed him with a glance that could only be described as both disbelief and acceptance. Even when the man before her was much taller and physically well built, the aura of respect their pharmacist radiated was enough to bring any well seasoned seaman to his knees.
"Yes, I'm afraid so," He had laughed nervously, still gazing ahead at the woman before him. "Captain Beidou is returning and, well, we wanted to-"
"Yes yes, to celebrate another victory." [F/N] sighed, waving her hand in dismissal as she looked over the notes she had taken. "Look, I know why you came if that's the case. All I will need is another batch of violetgrass if you want me to prepare enough remedy for the crew. Can someone please go pick it up at the Bubu Pharmacy for me? I wouldn't mind going myself, but I need to keep watch over the other brewing ingredients in the meantime."
"Of course, Miss [F/N]!" The way his eyes sparkled was almost endearing, were it not for the absolute menace a bunch of drunk rowdy men could be.
[F/N], was quick to wave him off before she was left alone in her station once more. She let out a small sigh, fingers flicking through the papers in which she stored all her notes regarding their medicinal inventory. She huffed under her breath, mumbling aloud as she thought over her predicament - violetgrass was common enough to treat any kind of hangover, however if she wished for the crew to be up and functional the following morning, she would perhaps need a few more particular ingredients for the potion.
And as such, with a heavy sigh, she excited her chamber and made way to the main deck. There were still men working their regular day, a few smiling her way before bidding her a good morning. Despite the big pain they could be when drunk, [F/N] had to admit, they were otherwise a good bunch.
"G'morning, Miss [F/N]." Juza the chief mate greeted her, whipping his brow as he nodded her head.
"Good morning, Juza. Mind answering me one question?" She smiled his way.
"Sure, what can I help you with?"
And as such, she inquired if he knew what kind of liquor would be served on the approaching festivities. Since most of the alcoholic beverages would be arranged by the crew themselves, she half expected them to go absolutely crazy with it. Anything, to them, was worth the festivities, and the presence of Captain Beidou practically doubled it. This, in turn, required her utmost attention. As such, as he went through the list, they stood still on the deck whilst men circled around them, working to ensure the stability of the vessel.
The breeze that flew through the Alcor was soft, soothing even. From the seat in which he stood, Kazuha had a wonderful view of the calm sea, his eyes shimmering with the light of the sun as he felt the winds caress through his hair. The routined sounds of the crew going about their business was mostly white noise to his ears, offering him a small sense of comfort before he heard a conversation across the main deck.
"How did you even get your hands on that?!"
The known figure of Juza was seen rubbing the back of his neck, laughing softly before offering an explanation to the young woman he spoke with. By her body language she seemed agitated, hands on her hips as she listened to him with exasperation. Kazuha found himself lingering his gaze for far longer than what was usual of him, the woman pulling at his soul in a way he couldn't exactly describe. He could feel his gaze narrowing, the cogs on his head beginning to turn as he found himself in murky waters. There was something in her tone of voice that seemed to ring a bell, yet… The samurai couldn't exactly explain what it was, or where did such emotions come from - he was both confused and excited from within, his chest bubbling long before his mind had connected the dots at last.
It came to him suddenly, his eyes widening as he saw it. Just as the young woman shook her head, her right hand lifted, a simple gesture opening the lock in his mind to bring him back to fond memories. In a swift gesture she flicked it, a scoff accompanying it as her response hadn't even registered in his mind. Instead, Kazuha found his heart beating quicker and stronger inside his ribcage. His mind leaped back in time, reminiscing back to when he played with a young girl inside his residence, the two of them sharing laughter as they held one another's hands. The gesture was first seen there, a soon-to-be common sight to behold as the young girl dressed in floral kimonos would repeat it whenever strong emotions took hold of her.
Her hair, her eyes, her face… The one he'd once been betrothed to stood near him, her matured beauty impressing him in a way he would've never guessed it would. In fact, Kazuha felt as though he'd been swept off his feet. Was it the sense of nostalgia, the sheer enchantment he felt being cast on him, or was it the mere surprise to find her in such a place? Then again… It could very well be all the three at once. All the nature that surrounded him seemed to come to a stand still, his very being focusing alone on the figure of the young woman as she retreated from the surface of the Alcor. He watched just as her sight left his gaze, eyelids lowering slightly as he felt himself being washed away by his memories.
"Kazu, how do you do that?" He remembers her pouting, holding a similar leaf to the one he hand on his fingers.
"It's simple, [F/N]. I can teach you if you'd like?"
He had once taught her how to blow on a leaf, the soft melody it made causing her curiosity to bloom. He still remembers vividly how she had gasped upon finally getting it right, her eyes shimmering in delight as she clapped in victory.
"Thanks, Kazu! I would've never gotten it right were it not for your help."
"You would've, I know so." He'd smiled, nodding his head. "I took much longer to learn it from my dad."
"I can't wait to show my mom!" She had smiled so brightly as she twirled the leaf on her fingers.
Her mother… Yes, the same mother that had informed him time later she'd left Inazuma to pursue studies in Sumeru. Kazuha remembers how they had spoken less and less as time went on after the annulment of their engagement, and before he'd time to realize it, she slipped past his fingers. At the time, Kazuha thought he only valued her as a friend, the small bubbling emotions within his chest being ignored as the innocence of his childhood told him they were only friends. He couldn't deny how he missed her company, nor how he would oftentimes still remember her and wonder aloud how she would be. The wanderer had, after all, never gotten back to Inazuma safe for the one time he'd gone by to help the traveler. He had no time to visit again, to ask if his dear friend [F/N] had returned. For all he knew, she would've still been in Sumeru… Yet there she was, so close, yet so far.
For once in his time as a wandering Samurai, Kazuha wasn't outright certain of how to proceed. Should he let her be, and allow her to move on? Perhaps now that she had gotten older she grew a distaste for their past relationship as betrothed to one another. Yet, deep in his being… He hoped he could indulge. He deeply wished to see her closer, to speak to her again, to witness if she would sport the same look of surprise he had upon realizing she'd been so close to him.
He pondered, and thought some more. He sought answers in the winds, the breeze only further delving him into a state of hesitancy. Before he knew it night had come by, with it the feast commencing. The crew was in great spirits, and so was Captain Beidou. The aura in the Alcor was of grand festivities, the lights and the music surely being heard on land as Kazuha sought refuge in the higher points of the ship.
There was no point in delaying it further. He would certainly regret it to not seek answers, and he wasn't any coward either. Kazuha jumped before landing on his feet, disappearing quickly into the lower decks before any sailor could whisk him off to drink. He was subtle in his escape, though not enough for the trained eye to not see him going a certain direction. There surely was interest in where he was going, yet by that point, Kazuha didn't care, nor did he notice… He was too preoccupied with the thoughts rushing through his head, the mere idea of seeing [F/N] and speaking to her again filling his entire mind.
A knock came to her door, the young woman lifting her head as she took a pause to listen. It was still early for anyone to take the brewing mixture, the ingredients still being processed…. But then again, it was probably not that. Whoever had reached her door had been quiet, no sounds of stumbling or hiccuping being heard. It gave [F/N] a brief sense of relief, deciding to speak up as she turned around to tend to the concoction that required her attention.
"Yes? Come in."
It was a simple enough phrase, followed by the few clinks of what Kazuha presumed was her using her utensils. Still, it felt like a warm melody to his ears, his own voice being stuck in his throat as he couldn't help but smile. The little girl in the flowery kimono, who would dance with him and hold his hands, all those pleasant memories flashed through his head once more just as he turned the knob, opening the door before quietly stepping in. She was turned around, her back to him as she made sure to thoroughly mix the ingredients for the remedy. It was like she waited for him to speak, all the while Kazuha waited patiently for him to gain her attention.
"Yes?" She repeated as she heard the door close soon after, an eyebrow raising at the silence that lingered in the air. [F/N] tucked some hair behind her ear before turning around, finally coming face to face with whomever visited her. "Is there anything I can-"
She found herself suddenly shutting up, her eyelids widening slightly. Before her stood a young man dressed in warm tones, the beautiful maple leaf stamped on his intricate clothing that reminded her of home. The smile he wore was as warm as the sunlight, comforting as a fire that warded off the cold of the world. His eyes, red as the same crimson leaf, reflected back an amount of emotion she couldn't nearly keep up with, patiently waiting for her to speak. Most of all however… That single streak of red hair, it brought her back, back to a time [F/N] found herself reflecting back on often, wondering how her once betrothed was doing.
"Hello, [F/N]. It’s so good to see you." Kazuha finally spoke up, the same smile he would give her all those years ago still present on his handsome features.
"K… Kazuha? It's really you…." She whispered, barely audible, her work suddenly no longer important. Her eyes were fixated on his own, the pair sharing a vulnerable moment as silence reigned for the time being.
"Yes… I'm sorry, I don't know if I'm welcome but I-"
"Are you kidding me? It's so good to see you!" She had smiled, the faintest pink dust lingering on her cheeks as she rounded up her table.
He couldn't lie, it was wonderful to hear such. He watched as [F/N] came closer to him, arms opening before enveloping him in a tight embrace. Kazuha couldn't help but let out the faintest chuckle, his strong grip caging her in his arms as they swayed slightly to one side, then the other. Just like they would do when younger…. The kind of hug to bring back a one of a kind comfort, as well as unearth the same feelings that had germinated during his pre-adolescence.
"How have you been?" [F/N] broke the silence, her voice slightly muffled as she still hid her face against his figure. Kazuha couldn't help but further smile, hesitantly leaning back to gaze at her frame.
"I've been alright, thank you." He humbly spoke, his fingers finding some strands to tuck behind her ear. "I'd be more inclined to hear you speak how you've been though, if you wouldn't mind?..."
It was as though their friendship had picked up where they had left off - with a single glance to his eyes, [F/N] knew exactly what he meant. Understanding there were a few things he wouldn't enjoy reminiscing on during such a moment, she nodded her head, deciding to oblige to his request. They spoke whilst still in each other's arms, her hands resting against his back all the while.
"Of course… Would you join me for a cup of qingxin tea?" She proposed.
And who was he to refuse such an invitation?
Kazuha's heart was soaring above. It simply felt so… Right. He found himself wishing to hear her laugh constantly, to hear her explain excitedly how her life had been. He simply couldn't get enough of her voice, her mannerism, of her. Who was he kidding? His little kiddie crush had bloomed into something more, or perhaps it had always been there and his innocence didn't allow him to fully grasp it. Often she would flick her wrist as she spoke, his gaze following it always as he smiled. Her hands looked so delicate and warm… He found himself yearning to hold her hand against his, as he once would.
"Kazu? You there?" [F/N] smiled at him, eyebrow raising as she held the teapot in her hand before serving him another cup.
"Ah… I'm sorry, could you repeat that?" He offered her an apologetic, albeit still lovely smile.
"Just what is going through that mind of yours?" It was her turn to giggle, passing him his cup. The glint in his eye didn't pass unnoticed, and in a moment of bravery, he didn't hesitate to respond.
"I was reminiscing on how we would hold hands, once." Kazuha whispered, watching with delight how the blush rose to her face.
In her place, [F/N] stood still, her eyes meeting his own before both coming to a stand still. Her lips almost rose by their own will, a shy yet beautiful smile gracing her face as she looked away for a brief instance. She too, remembered how he would always indulge her in her requests of taking her hand, the two walking through the tall maple trees whilst the wind blew ever so gently.
"Ah…" She responded, prompting him to tilt his head in what she didn't know was endearment. "I would always ask you to, wouldn't I?... Sorry, that must've been a little uncomfortable." She played it off with a small laugh, whilst he instead frowned softly.
"No, quite the contrary. I loved it." Kazuha now had no problems speaking his mind, his heart being fueled by the presence of the girl before him. He watched with adoration as her expression shifted back to bashfulness, eyeing him with vulnerability as if inquiring him silently if he meant it.
And instead of responding verbally, the samurai instead lifted his hand, holding it out of her to take with a smile. He waited for her to slowly take it, him slowly intertwining his fingers with her own before firmly holding her hand. The smile he offered her was now transparent of his feelings for her, Kazuha speaking of everything needed in pure silence. The noise of the party outside became more and more muffled as they cherished their moment, [F/N] reciprocating the grasp before offering him a more sincere smile.
"I… Really missed you, Kazuha." She finally admitted, his squeeze to her hand tightening slightly.
"I did, too." He responded firmly, lifting out of his chair before having her follow him. He carefully brought her hand to his chest, pressing against him as his own hands secured hers closer. He never ceased to smile, their foreheads slowly lingering before pressing against one another. At that moment, they needn't say much else, basking in the fondness of one another between a shared glance. "Do you think we could… Perhaps, pick up where we left off?"
She giggled softly, his heart busting in glee. "Hold my hand a little longer, and I may just cave in."
"Oh, I'll hold it for as long as you like, dove."
And true to his promise, the following day, they could be found by the main deck, on a corner as they felt the wind gently brush through them. Their fingers were once more intertwined, [F/N] resting against his side as they laughed softly, reminiscing on funny stories that brought them back to simpler times. Often, [F/N] would find herself drawing patterns in his hand with her thumb, caressing his skin ever so gently as Kazuha relished in the feeling, his soul now warm and complete. For as long as needed be, he would hold her hand, relishing in the simple yet meaningful gesture.
"And I believe that means I've won the bet." A roar was heard on the other side of the ship, though the two were perhaps blessed to not catch wind of it. "Juza, you owe me!"
"Argh…" The chief mate grunted, though the scowl on his face was certainly not a serious one. He couldn't help but shake his head and smirk. "Seems like you hit the mark, Captain."
"Hah, what were you expecting?" Beidou laughed triumphantly, eyeing the couple with pride beaming in her chest. "Now, go and get the hangover medicine for the men. It's about time they begin working!" She finished, before going off to collect her well deserved prize - a heft bag of mora, of course.

Character(s): Kazuha
Genre: Fluff + Comfort
Type: Headcanon
Description: Father figure Kazuha? More likely than you think-
Warning(s): Gender-Neutral Reader, Child Reader, Familial, Minor Injuries(Scraped Hands)
Hi, hi, anon!! Thank you so, so much for sending this in it's literally so cute sslxndk (and the need for a father figure is very much felt-)
I hope you like it! Remember to take care of yourself too <33
Tumblr media
You became his shadow for a short while, stepping in the shoe prints he left in the sand whenever he ventured from the Crux and bumping into the back of his legs when he stopped walking. Kazuha always knew you were following him so he'd purposely choose the safest paths - well, inherently safe paths. He hadn't thought you'd trip trying to catch up to him after getting distracted by a bird
He was by your side in an instant, however, reaching you before a tear even had the chance to fall. His hands were careful in holding your wrists and lifting your palms from the ground
"Hey...it's alright." The softness of his voice as he guided you to a nearby body of water soothed you and hushed your wails. He dipped a handkerchief in the cold water and dabbed it against your hands, washing the small pebbles and dirt from the throbbing scrapes
He carried you back after that, telling stories in an attempt to occupy your mind. Which worked to an extent. Tears still fell and the stinging of your skin remained present, but you were able to ask questions about each story without sobbing
After that, he began telling you stories to ease you into the gentle arms of sleep. Kazuha would visit every few nights and before, as well as after, his personal travels. Most of the time, the stories he told were made up, but he would still sprinkle some true events in every once in a while without telling you. Like how the protagonist in his Starborne Traveler tale played the zither with a man who followed the breezing wind and how another protag fled from his home to be free
Speaking of his travels...he always made sure to bring something back for you. Whether that was a flower he hand pressed or a book that could only be found in the region he went to. He'd bring back new bedtime stories too! Like this one about a group of new friends and three islands
During celebrations, he tends to be by your side or taking you ashore to experience it all. When it's the lantern rite, both him and Beidou head into Liyue city with you holding their hands between them! If it's a feast aboard the Crux, he'll eat near, and with, you and play some games as well
Over time, he genuinely feels like your caretaker; your father

“nothing more, nothing less” (pt. 1) | genshin headcanons
A series of cottagecore! au headcanons with a few of the short male Genshin characters. There might be some OOC because I wanted to try and write something happy, and because I have yet to get a grasp on some of the characters’ personalities haha
Anyway, these are just my own speculations for each character so I apologize if anything upsets you; I’m planning to write the taller Genshin men later.
Notes: gender neutral reader, fluff, headcanons
Characters: Albedo, Gorou, Heizou, Kazuha, Scaramouche, Venti, Xiao
Part two: link
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Albedo
Naturally, Albedo loves to paint
Anything from the flowers outside, to the fresh fruit on the table, or you, he’ll paint it
There’s a 100% chance there’s a special room dedicated to the many paintings he’s done of you
When Albedo’s running low on paint, he’ll take you to get more paint with him
He stopped getting paint from the town, as that was too long of a drive away, and resulted to using the wild berries in the backyard
With matching baskets, the two of you will spend almost a day looking for fruits to mash into paint
Only to be distracted by the wildflowers growing around
“______, do you think these will look nice on the dinner table?”
“My, what a beautiful color. I’m sure they will look lovely in our home.”
Speaking of flowers, Albedo likes to journal down anything that catches his eye
He likes researching about the many mushrooms he encounters when walking through the forest, or the shiny rocks by the lake, or the difference of leaves from one plant to another
He’ll take you on his little nature walks as well, since he doesn’t like seeing you cooped up in the house all day
“Do you see this plant, ______? Whenever I touch it, I feel an itchy sensation on my skin.”
Tumblr media
Gorou
As we all know, Gorou is a dog, and dogs like to chase things
He likes chasing after the butterflies that fly near the marigold bushes
He likes chasing after the dragonflies that zip past the lake
He even likes chasing after the squirrels that sit on the fence
You get the gist of it, right?
Because as the Guardian of your little kingdom, Gorou will do anything to protect it
On days when he’s not busy protecting your home, the two of you will be playing in a meadow or finding food for dinner
“It’s important that we don’t forget even the most simple essentials, ______.”
In his free time, Gorou likes to sleep in the sun
He likes the feeling of the warm light touching his skin; kissing his cheeks and patting his head as he lays in its comfort
When you’re not busy, he’ll ask if you want to join him
“It’s warm today ______, let’s enjoy the warmth together.”
Tumblr media
Heizou
In truth, the quiet atmosphere really bores him
Heizou lives for the excitement of cracking a case, but as far as he knows, there aren’t much mysteries to solve in a place that’s calmer than its waters
He spends his time inside most of the time, challenging you to a few puzzles or board games he found in the closet
“Think you’ll be able to outsmart me, _____?”
If the puzzles and board games get too repetitive, the two of you will play hide-and-seek
Being able to use clues to find your whereabouts or hints to where your next hiding spot is is something Heizou really enjoys doing
Every once in a while you two will switch roles, but Heizou prefers being the seeker rather than the hider, he likes to test your knowledge
“It seems you did outsmart me, who would have thought?”
“I’ll be the hider this time ______, but this doesn’t mean I’ll be going easy on you!”
Heizou likes to read a lot
He likes reading anything from murder mystery stories to the strange cases written from the daily newspaper
He also likes making up his own stories too
Right before bed, that’s when he’ll tell them to you
“But the frog told Mrs. Parsley that he never touched her pie! Alright ______, now who do you think was telling the truth?”
Tumblr media
Kazuha
Kazuha is very nature-esque
He’ll be outside enjoying the sound of the birds or the buzzing of a bee
He’ll be sitting by a little pond with tiny tadpoles in it, while stroking a leaf in his hand
Kazuha likes autumn the best
Everything goes from a bright green to mellow yellows and reds
The warm tones remind him of how calming your presence is
On sunny days, sometimes you’ll see him petting the chickens or following baby ducklings back to their pond
When you’re not busy, you and Kazuha will be laying outside in the soft grass, playing with each other’s hair as the wind swirls through the air
“Today is a beautiful day, ______, but spending time with you has made it far more wonderful.”
On rainy days, Kazuha stays inside and writes poetry for you to read
In return, he’ll ask you to write him something too
“If you don’t know what to say, you can always ask me for help. Unless, you want your words to be a surprise for me.”
Tumblr media
Scaramouche
Scaramouche is quite the sour boy
So he’ll never admit how soft he becomes when you’re around him
He really enjoys making flower crowns with you
The delicate-ness of the petals, the softness of your hands as you place the ring of flowers on his head, the scent of your freshly washed clothes, the warm feeling of your body getting too close to his…
All of it makes him weak on the knees
He thinks it’s an ugly feeling, but you think it’s funny
“Whatever, I never wanted to make stupid flower crowns with you anyway.”
You recently introduced Scaramouche to flower pressing
He called your idea dumb, but every once in a while he’ll be outside picking flowers so he can make pretty flower bookmarks for you
When you ask him what he’s doing outside for so long, he’ll turn away and ask you why you were stalking him
“It’s not nice to spy on people, ______.”
Tumblr media
Venti
Venti loves apples as much as he loves wine, but he loves you even more
Of course he’s taking you apple picking
The feeling of the wind and the rustling of the tree leaves, that’s when the best apples are ready to be picked
“Ooh, there’s so many things we can make together! Cider, pie, cake, and they can all be apple flavored, hehe!”
Venti’s passion for wine and apples is so strong, sometimes he forgets you’re in his life too
“Don’t worry, ______, I still love you! Besides, nothing compares to the sweetness of your smile~”
As a musician, of course, Venti likes to write songs for you
Or he’ll be humming a random tune while sitting with you on the porch swing
It’s not often this happens, but when Venti’s in the mood he’ll go sing to the animals outside
You thought it was weird, because every time, they’d end up scared and would run away
But he told you it was just practice before he’d preform his songs in front of you
“As you know, practice makes perfect! Now stop peeking! You’ll get to hear the song later.”
Tumblr media
Xiao
Xiao is a quiet person
He enjoys the silent atmosphere a lot
It’s the first time in his life he’s felt so at ease with himself
Though, he prefers when the sun isn’t out
Gazing up at the stars makes him feel tiny, but seeing you by his side makes him feel less intimidated
He likes the cold feeling of the wind brushing through his hair as he rests his head on your shoulder
“I wish I could stay like this with you forever, ______.”
But there’s something else that comes out at night
At first, he thought it was a fly
It was tiny and brown, and it made an annoying buzzing noise
Until he tried to swat it away
A bright green glow emerged from it, and then, as if on cue, a whole blanket of bright green covered the once dark colored floor
They were fireflies
They danced around him, welcoming him and you into the night
He’s never seen anything like them, no
But they were bright, like you
Now, every night, Xiao takes you outside to see the fireflies before going to bed
“Come with me, there’s something I want you to see.”
Tumblr media
I kinda wish I wrote more but it’s like 6 am and I have slept yet so I hope you enjoy these!! ❤️

-> As the only child of your parents - high expectations have been set out for you. Eventually this results in you running away from your home and coming across a samurai that saves your life. He helps you live out a memorable last day of freedom before you submit to your parents wishes...
-> Reader has no gender or pronouns! Reader is a noble! Reader x Kazuha! Star crossed lovers trope! Complicated family relationships! Reader gets slapped (not by Kazuha)!
Tumblr media
Your clan was one of high status and a spotless image was important to your family. As the only child of your family expectations for you were high - meaning you were expected to be completely perfect. To marry into a good family and have many children to carry your family's legacy. These expectations strained your relationship with your parents greatly with fights becoming more common than civil conversations. It made you resent them enough to one day run away... In the middle of the night when your parents were surely deep asleep you sneaked out of your room.
You would run as fast and as far away as you possibly could before you fell onto your knees. Out of breath and exhausted you simply stared at the sky beginning to turn red as dark turned into dawn. Your attention was quickly brought to the sound of laughter. You darted your eyes around along with your head until you saw a group of ronin approaching you from the woods. Their smiles were wide and cruel along with their horrendous laughter that rang in your ears. Some of them began unsheathing their weapons as a chill ran down your spine with the seriousness of the situation beginning to settle in...
Was this the end? You ran away from your home only to be cut down by some roaming ronin in some woods where your body would never be recovered from? Tears gathered in your eyes and blurred your vision as you helplessy tried crawling away from the approaching men. Their laughter erupted into roaring by your pathetic attempts of getting away making you want to cry even harder.
A sudden yet comforting breeze blew past you making you look up to see the back of a young man with a flowy red kimono. His beautiful white and red hair and red moved along the wind as he stood before your trembling form to protect you with confidence and calmness. He was glad nature brought him to you before it was too late. He said something to the ronin that made them either amused or incredibly irritated. They began charging at him with their blades trained on him - ready to kill. He didn't waver or even flinch as he unsheathed his own blade.
“Fallen leaves... adorn my night.” He said as he used the power of anemo to wipe out the ronin with ease.
Those not caught within the range of his attack fled with no care for the others, leaving you with your savior and the unconscious ronin. He sheathed his sword and turned around to face you. He crouched to be on your level and inspect you for wounds - which you did not have. Oh Archon's, was he your guardian angel? He certainly looked like one with his silky white hair that you dreamed of running your fingers through and gentle ruby red eyes you could look into for forever...
“You don't appear to be wounded - good.” A soft smile formed on his lips and you could feel butterflies dance in your stomach.
You couldn't utter a single word as you stared at him with your mouth slightly agape. A stray tear finally fell down your heated cheek and it did not go unnoticed by your savior as he slowly reached out to wipe it away, but made sure to give you time to pull away or stop him if you wished to. You didn't. Your whole body felt feather light like a leaf in the wind when his hand made contact with your skin. Don't pull away, please...
“My name is Kazuha. May I know yours?” His voice was so soothing and made you feel at ease enough for you to tell him your name.
He recognized your last name immediately with your family being quite important status wise, everyone in Inazuma knew them. You were their only child and thus rather important as the next head of the clan and with your sparkling reputation you would surely be beloved and respected by all. So what on Teavat's name were you doing in the middle of the woods with no guards or personel in sight? You were clearly not prepared to defend yourself.
“You have no reason to answer me, but I cannot help wondering why you're out alone within these woods?” He helped you stand on your own two feet.
“I... I must admit I ran away from my family. It was foolish I know. But I needed to get away - even for just a moment.” From the look on your face he could tell your situation was complicated and thus did not pry further.
“I didn't expect to run into danger though, I cannot thank you enough for saving my life. Could I bother you with one more thing?” You bowed your head down in respect.
“Of course.” He simply replied with a smile.
“Would you take me to Inazuma city? I wish to spent the remaining of my freedom doing something memorable before I return home. My family will surely reward you for bringing me back and saving my life!” You looked at him with hopeful, yet pleading eyes.
“Of course, my Leige. This way.” He pickes up the bag you had dropped when you fell on your knees. He draped it's handle over his shoulder to carry it for you.
During your walk you became more comfortable and you were able to talk some more. You didn't go too much into detail about your family situation and he didn't ask you to, he was a great listener while only offering advice if you wished him to. What made you even more comfortable was his casual attitude and way of treating you, he was respectful but didn't treat you any different from a commoner. You loved that... Never before had anyone treated you like this, his whole aura and presence made you feel free to be your true self.
When you reached the city he took you to eat at Kiminami Restaurant and you were quite exited as you had never eaten at a place like this! Normally your food would be prepared at your home, it was quite extravagant and over the top. It was made with the look in mind rather than the taste, so it tended to be bland and tasteless... But here it was quite the opposite! It was like your sense of taste had only just now awakened with this colourful new experience.
After eating he asked if you wished to explore all that Inazuma City had to offer, you of course accepted his offer. You walked around the city with your arm looped around Kazuha's so you wouldn't get separated in the large crowds while looking at all the different shops around town. He was able to make you smile and laugh countless times with silly jokes or things he spotted in the shops you passed. He seemed like he knew you like the back of his hand - he could make you laugh and feel better with such ease... You tried so many foods from different stalls that you thought you would burst from eating another crumb of food! You promised to reimburst him for all the things he bought for you, of course. You loved every second you spent with him, you truly felt yourself connect with him in a way you had never experienced before...
You did your best to ignore all the people staring, gasping and pointing at you everywhere you went. You should have done something to even try to conseal your identity, but it was too late now. Your parents would likely have a stroke after hearing such "scandalous" acts being performed by their heir like eating food and enjoying all that Inazuma had to offer, oh and of course being seen holding hands with a young man. You were in for quite the scolding and punishment when you returned home, but right now your focus was on experiencing freedom before it would be taken from you forever. You regretted nothing, if you hadn't run away you would never have met Kazuha or gotten to experience this. Or maybe you would have - perhaps your future spouse was just like Kazuha. But you did not regret meeting him.
You only regretted having to eventually say goodbye, you had gotten to know him quite well during your time spent together and you did not want to separate fro him so soon. The sun began setting in the horizon turning the sky into a beautiful mix of colours, but you wanted to make this day as memorable as you could - with no regrets. You turned to face Kazuha as he did the same, his eyes shone with curiosity. With a sudden burst of boldness your hands cupped his soft pale cheeks as you pulled him closer until your lips connected with his. Your eyes closed as his hands carefully rested on your waist to bring your body flush against his, his thumbs ran circles against your clothing.
The moment felt frozen in time as if the rest of the world ceased to exist around you, if only it could last for an eternity. You eventually pulled away to catch your breaths, but continued to hold onto each other. Both of your faces had grown slightly red as you shyly smiled at each other. Neither of you said anything...
“That was my first...” You said quietly.
“Mine too.” He removed his hands from your waist to hold one of your hands. He brought it up to his lips before placing a sweet kiss upon your knuckles.
You both knew it was time for you to return home by the darkening sky. You remained quiet as you began walking towards your family estate. It was not far but you purposefully walked slowly to savior these last moments, by the time you made it home the moon was high up and the stars were out. The fences surrounding your home looked more like prison walls now... Your parents rushed out to pull you away from the stranger whose habd you were holding. They had heard of your shenanigans with him to blame him for everything.
“If I ever see you around my child again I'll have you executed!” He yelled before spitting next to Kazuha's feet.
“Father!” You shouted angrily.
“Quiet! Take them inside, dear. I will handle him.” Like he ordered your mother forcefully dragged you inside.
“Like I said - I can make you completely dissapear without anyone ever finding your body. Stay away from my child.” His words were filled with venom and pure hatred.
He left Kazuha at the gate of your family estate with the guards blocking his way as he watches your father get inside. He takes a deep breath before turning around to leave. He can understand both you and your father in this situation. He understands why you wanted to leave your family, but you still went back after your short period of freedom. He can also understand that your father cares about you and wishes for you to have a good life, but his methods of showing it are not good...
Suddenly he remembers your bag that he's still carrying, it held all your items... He couldn't keep holding onto it with all your items, but how would he return them to you? He could give the bag to the guards, but what if it was never given back to you? It would also give him a reason to see you one more time. Your father had likely put more guards and higher security after your run away attempt, but he had higher senses along with his vision to back him up. Hopefully it would be enough...
He waited some hours until nearly all the lights had turned off inside the estate, meaning most if not all inside were asleep. He had spent his time observing the guards routine routes and spotted some weak spots to exploit inorder to get inside the walls. Inside your home he would need to keenly listen to his senses as he would go in completely blind.
It was easier said then done, but he got inside. He thankfully was able to find your room rather quickly and without notice. It felt wrong to just barge in but he had no choice. You were surprised to say the least to see him in your home, in your room. But you could not have been happier! Tears welled in your eyes once again as you wrapped your arms around him tightly. He did the same, he looped one of his arms around your back and the other cradled the back of your head. When you pulled away to look at him he saw your cheek that was burning red, but not the same way he had seen before... It was clear you had been struck by a hand. He gently caressed the bruised skin with a frown on his face.
“Why are you here Kazuha?” You asked in a hushed tone.
“I... I came to give this back.” He took off the bag and handed it to you.
“Oh... Thank you.” For some reason you felt disappointed.
He couldn't look away from your sad eyes and your cheek. He couldn't leave you like this, he couldn't leave knowing you would be trapped within your own home with someone that would hurt you. He called out your name softly to make you look at him, look into his eyes. You could understand what he was saying and nodded.
“Please... Let me take you away.” He cupped your face and he ran circles on your cheeks with his rough thumbs.
“Take me away Kazuha...” You whispered.
He pulled you into a kiss that lasted much longer than the first. You didn't want to pull away, but you needed to leave now before someone realised he was here and before the sun was up. You only grabbed the essentials and wrote a short letter to your parents asking and pleading for them to not try to find you. This was not a final goodbye as perhaps one day you could reconcile with them...
You grasped Kazuha's hand tightly and gave it a squeeze to signal you were ready to leave. You sneaked your way out in the darkness of the night with only the moon shining as your guide. For now it was best for you to leave on the next ship to not be found by your parents. Today was the first day you had seen Inazuma City and now you were on your way to a whole nother land, but thankfully you were not on your own. Even if the kiss you shared did not lead you to love each other for the rest of your lives, you knew he would be there for you.

Tumblr media
You always looked forward to the annual festival that was held in your city.
Stretched out over a couple of days, the main streets of the local shopping district would be occupied with many stalls and booths to provide with the best street food and entertainment. It was a festival of gratitude and mirth, of light and togetherness. Garlands and strings of fairy lights would traverse the streets, with serpentines and lanterns and various decorations that presented the local culture. The festival made for a fun day out, but it was at night that it truly came to life.
The festive illumination cast a warm gleam upon its surroundings, and the streets became a sea of light against the vast midnight sky. You had been there for a while, you watched the sun set and witnessed how the darkness brought its spark to the festival. The moon and stars were bleak against light that came from below, and for once they weren’t the one true center of the night. No, there was one week each year where the nights revolved around something else. Something human, averting people’s awe away from the celestial bodies.
There were quite a few people. The festival pulled in a wide audience; families with children, teenagers that came with their friends, many couples – young and elderly, and even a lot of people that came alone. Like you. But you didn’t feel lonely, even though you were surrounded by people celebrating together. Actually, you were quite content. You didn’t have to match anyone’s pace and could enjoy the festival in a way that pleased you. You could skip the parts that didn’t catch your interest, and linger a little longer where you wanted to.
For example, this little booth that sold the tiniest handmade plushies. They came in a variety of small animals, and they were absolutely adorable. Plus, the stall keepers were very friendly, not getting at all impatient even when you stood in front of the stall for what felt like at least half an hour. You were indecisive, and couldn’t simply pick one to buy. The cat? The panda? The fox? They were all so cute, and you really had to stop yourself from buying them all.
“I’ll come back when I made up my mind,” you promised the woman behind the colorful stall, and she nodded with a smile. It took you a second to convince yourself to move away, and with one last glance at the cute little animals, you ambled away.
You walked past a booth that hosted a game of pick-a-duck, and the children that stood around seemed to be having a blast. It made you think of gone days, how you used to enjoy those games when you were younger. You wore a faint smile as you kept walking. If you had been here with a couple of friends, you would’ve challenged them to play against you in one of the many games this festival had to offer, but it felt a bit awkward to participate on your own. You’d only be surrounded by kids, anyway. Maybe you’d take a friend tomorrow, just to have some fun at the game booths.
People all around you were chatting away happily, and the string of mirth weaved through the atmosphere, seemingly everlasting. The festival was in full swing, and the first night elicited joy among the people. The smile remained on your face as you enjoyed the elated mood.
You’ve been there for quite a while now, and despite the array of food available, you hadn’t eaten anything yet. Your stomach grumbled, and your hand flew to your stomach – as if you could cover up the slightly embarrassing sound. Now was a good time to get yourself something to eat. But that brought you to the next matter at hand; what would you pick? There was so much to choose from. Stalls offering local dishes, booths selling foreign meals to spice things up a little bit, stalls that sold sweets and pastries, and smaller stands scattered everywhere offering a variety of street food. Of course the scent that lingered in the air was amazing, which only spurred on your desire to find something to eat. You found yourself facing a dilemma. Would you try something new, or would you resort to your go-to order, the snack you got here every year?
Your feet had already taken you in a particular direction, and that was enough of an answer for you. Your eyes skimmed the displays of stands and stalls, looking for one in particular that sold your favorite snack. Maybe trying something new wasn’t bad, but you couldn’t simply abandon the delicacy you loved so much. After all, you could only get it once a year.
It wasn’t long before you found yourself lining up, patiently waiting until it was your turn. In the distance, you heard the music of a marching band parading through the streets. They played a cheerful tune, the perfect match for such a happy atmosphere. It was impossible to remain still, and your foot tapped against the pavement along with the drum beat rhythm.
You finally got up to the front. For a moment, your eyes wandered over the food they had to offer, but it was a meaningless gesture. You already knew what you were going for, anyway. You glanced up, ready to order.
“I would like a–” you began, but your voice trailed off helplessly.
The gentle ruby eyes that gazed back at you took your ability to speak away for a moment. They widened slightly, mimicking the surprise you were experiencing just as much. Those eyes, you breathlessly thought. So beautiful. Utterly in awe, you looked at the rest of his face, and found one that matched so very well with the kindness in his eyes. The male had a handsome yet gentle face, radiating a hint of friendliness despite the surprise that rested on his features. He had hair that was as pale as the moon, tied back into a ponytail. One strand was dyed a vibrant red. It looked so soft, but then again, everything about the male looked soft. Pretty and soft, you decided. Your original purpose had been momentarily forgotten.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t quite catch you,” he spoke, releasing you from your little daze. He offered you a polite smile.
Butterflies sprung awake in the pit of your stomach. His voice was gentle, his smile dreamlike. Oh, Y/N, you mentally thought. Your mind seemed too blank to properly tell him what you wanted to order, but you couldn’t really blame yourself. It took you a few seconds to compose yourself, to be able to face the beautiful male again, as you uttered out the food you wanted. You wanted so badly to return the smile, but the blush that powdered your cheeks kept you from functioning normally. You felt like a complete idiot when you stepped aside to let other people order.
You stood there, and your mind was going haywire. Despite the brevity of the moment, it had left a deep impression on you, and you pursed your lips as your heart hammered madly. Who was that guy? Who allowed him to seem so perfect merely at first sight? You stole the occasional glance in his direction, watching how he helped other customers. Always with a polite yet friendly smile. Nothing about it looked fabricated. He seemed to be smiling for real.
“Excuse me?” you heard his voice call, and you looked up.
He was looking at you, a soft twinkle in his gentle eyes as he held out the food you ordered. Your heart leaped when you took a few strides towards him, extending your arm to retrieve the food. Your hand grazed against his, and you almost dropped the sweet skewer to the ground with a gasp. Even though he was wearing latex gloves for hygiene purposes, the idea that your hand just touched his made you blush furiously. You fought to look up, to say at least a thank you because it wouldn’t make sense to just walk off.
“T-Thank you,” you forced out, mustering a smile.
“Enjoy the festival,” the male told you – wait, were you imagining things? Even in the dimmed lights, his cheeks seemed to have darkened significantly as he reciprocated the smile.
You had no excuse to linger around the stall any longer. Your feet felt heavy as you walked away, stealing one last glance at the male before you mingled with the crowd. Your eyes met, and you wondered, had he been looking at you as well? No, that couldn’t be. It was merely coincidental that he looked in your direction. You huffed out a breath, trying to calm your fluttering heart.
It amazed you how much of an impression that guy managed to leave behind. Even as you tried to focus on your food, he was all you could think about. You fought, but failed to get him off your mind. His gentle eyes and pretty smile were all you could see when you closed your eyes, and you resisted the strong urge to walk by the food stall again. Instead, you went home. Maybe your cheeks could finally cool down a little once you were away from the festival.

“It’s amazing to see how this festival pulls in so many visitors each year,” Thoma marveled, letting his eyes wander around as he strolled next to you.
Staying true to your word, you had returned the next day with a friend by your side. You knew how much Thoma enjoyed the festival, so taking him was an easy decision. It was a win-win situation; he was happy to be there at the festival, and he was fun to be around, which meant you were bound to have a good time with him. Your objective was to participate in as many games as possible, and your friend had already assured you that he was totally up for that.
“I know, right?” you agreed. “It’s so lively.”
Once again you were surrounded by happy families and couples having a good time, and you were glad you brought Thoma with you. As much as you enjoyed the festivities on your own, there was something nice about walking around with your close friend. You could share the mirth, laugh together, you had someone to talk to, and on top of that, you didn’t have to feel awkward participating in the carnival games on your own.
“Where do you want to go first?” the blond male asked with an elated smile.
Taking Thoma was a good decision, you concluded. He looked genuinely happy, spurred on by the festive atmosphere. He had quite the busy life, and you knew he wouldn’t have made time to visit the festival if it wasn’t for you asking him. A smile grew on your lips as well.
“Let’s just see what we run into first,” you replied, taking a look around.
On your left was a booth that hosted a game of balloon pop, the bright blue canvas that covered the stall looking cheerful and inviting. It was decorated with colorful flag garlands that moved gently in the wind. You pointed your index finger towards it, calling for Thoma’s attention.
     “How about that?”
“Seems fun,” Thoma nodded. “I’m pretty good at that.”
Indeed, Thoma was good, but apparently, you were too. The darts you threw flew towards the colorful balloons, and the sound of balloons popping sounded through the booth. The game host hummed in acknowledgement when you finished, and you wore a triumphant smile. Apparently, you had collected enough points to pick out a prize, and your eyes skimmed the wall stuffed with plushies and other trinkets. You quickly decided on one plushie in particular.
“I want that one,” you said, pointing at your reward of choice.
The host took it from the wall and handed it to you. Behind you, Thoma applauded, and you smiled. You spun around, extending your arms to present the plushie to your friend.
“It’s for you,” you told him. “I know you like Shiba Inus.”
He was hesitant to accept your gift, smiling awkwardly.
“Isn’t it supposed to be the other way around?” he questioned.
“Who cares? Just take it,” you insisted, basically pushing the stuffed Shiba into his hands.
“Alright, alright,” Thoma gave in, hugging the plushie to his chest. “I’ll name it Taroumaru.”
You took part in various other games after that. You failed miserably at bean bag toss, Thoma got lucky with a game of spin the wheel, your friend insisted on a rematch of balloon pop – which he won, and you had a blast while magnet fishing. Naturally, you were surrounded by young children most of the time, but you found yourself hardly caring. You were having so much fun, and the night proceeded full of laughter.
Thoma carried around his Taroumaru the entire time, never losing it out of sight even while he was concentrating on the games he participated in. He acted like a proud dog owner, which made you laugh. You were truly having a great time.
“I’m getting hungry,” Thoma commented after a while. “Can we go and grab a bite?”
“Yeah, sure,” you immediately said. “I’m pretty hungry myself.”
As you were going around playing games, you totally lost track of time and didn’t think about eating in the meantime. It’d been a while since your last meal, and the same went for your friend. Now was a good time to take a break and get something to eat. The very moment you decided, your mind took a detour to a certain stall a little down the street, and your heart jumped. This was a good excuse to go there again, wasn’t it? You were eager to see him again, you hesitantly admitted to yourself.
“I know a place that sells yummy street food,” you offered. “Wanna go there?”
“Sure, lead the way,” Thoma replied.
It was as if a magnetic pull guided you towards him – though you weren’t sure if he was there, no one told you whether or not he worked at the stall every day of the festival. Thoma followed you, and he was probably wondering why you were in such a hurry all of a sudden. You zig-zagged through the crowd and he struggled to keep up. Your heartbeat sped up in anticipation as you got closer; you were so close to finding out if he was there or not.
Finally, the stall came into sight, and you sighed in relief. He was there, smiling widely as he handed a cardboard container with ramen to a little girl standing next to her grandma. The sight made you swell with happiness; he seemed like such a sweetheart. Thank you! you heard the young girl squeak out before she walked away, and you couldn’t help the dreamy gaze in your eyes as you looked at the male behind the stand.
“Y/N?” Thoma called out, shaking a hand before your eyes.
You snapped out of it, finally noticing how you stood with your feet riveted to the ground. Oh, you had been totally out of it and your friend caught you staring at the street food boy! A blush crept of your cheeks and you shook your head.
     “Y-Yeah?” you reacted, obviously bewildered.
Thoma looked puzzled, his eyes flitting between you and the food stall up ahead. Then, after a moment, his eyes widened slightly, as if he had a lightbulb moment.
“Oh,” he brought out, as if it suddenly all made sense to him. “I see how it is.” He offered you a grin and gently urged you forward. “C’mon, let’s get our food.”
Your entire being was rigid with nervousness as you stepped towards the front of the stall, even more so than yesterday. He was talking to his co-worker now, wearing an amused smile that still lingered when he turned to face the new customer – you. The smile almost melted you, he was so adorable! But then his soft ruby eyes flickered to the male standing next to you, and the warm smile faltered. It was swiftly replaced by a polite grin that looked like it took a lot of work to get it there.
“Hello, what can I get you two?” he asked.
“Uh,” you began intelligently. Great, Y/N. The sudden shadow that washed over the male’s face confused you, and your brows knitted together in a slight frown. Why did he suddenly look so gloomy?
Thoma stepped in and ordered for the both of you, and you felt nothing but dissatisfaction as you walked away with the food in your hands. That didn’t go according to plan at all; you wanted to see his gentle eyes and his warm smile, but you only saw them fade away and be replaced by something fake and strained. It saddened you, but at the same time you couldn’t help but wonder why.
“Uh oh,” Thoma murmured. “I think we gave him the wrong idea.”
“What do you mean?” you inquired, tilting your head a little.
Your friend simply gave you a meaningful look, as if to say, think about it. So you did, and slowly started to connect the dots. His warm demeanor, dissolving rapidly as soon as he saw you and Thoma – was it because you two stood there together? We gave him the wrong idea echoed in your mind. Your eyes widened in realization.
Was the pretty boy behind the food stall… jealous?
– – – – –
That night you would be preoccupied with something else, so you decided to visit the festival a little earlier than the nights prior. It looked different in the sunlight. Less lively, despite the colors being more vivid than they were at night. Something about the absence of the fairy lights and lanterns took away the spark, and the festival was a little dull. Even the crowd was thin; it was obvious that most people preferred to visit after sundown. Obviously, you rather visited at night just as much, but if you had to choose between going earlier or not going at all, it was an easy pick. You already decided not to stay that long, since your visit held no further purposes. You did everything that could possibly be done at the festival. Still, you didn’t just want to stay at home. For many years, you always made sure to visit the festival every day in order not to miss anything, and now you had a little extra motivation to do so.
That boy.
The gloom that rested upon his features was engraved fresh in your mind, and you hated it. Today, your mission was to replace that image with one of his warm smile – which would be a far better memory.
You made up your mind. You wouldn’t freeze like an idiot, you wouldn’t stutter or forget how to function properly. You came prepared; you wouldn’t be taken aback by how pretty he was. Not today.
For the sake of pretending, you wandered through the streets for a bit, even tried a game of balloon pop to see if you were still as good as you were yesterday – you weren’t, apparently it was only beginner’s luck. You ran into some acquaintances and walked with them for a while, and you managed to spend a couple of hours at the festival without going straight towards the stall where the cute boy worked. But now your time was running out, you had to leave soon in order to get home in time for your other activities. You weren’t at all hungry, but you had to buy a sweet skewer since you had no other excuse to talk to him. It was okay, you’d be able to force it down, it wasn’t that big of a snack anyway.
You walked with a slight skin in your step, finally giving in and gravitating towards the food stall naturally. Of course there was the slight doubt within you that wondered if he would even be there, since you had no guarantee. But since it was less crowded, you were able to spot the stall from a fair distance and recognized the vibrant streak of red in his pale hair. A smile naturally grew on your face when you saw him.
There was no queue, and you came to a halt right in front of him.
“Hello,” you greeted him, still smiling. “I’d like a sweet skewer.”
Smooth, Y/N, you complimented yourself.
“You really like those, hm?” the male grinned. “Alright, it’ll be ready soon.”
You stepped aside, satisfied with the outcome. You hadn’t stuttered at all, didn’t become a blushing mess, and the most important of all, he smiled at you and his pretty ruby eyes had regarded you with a certain gentleness again. With dreamy eyes and a faint smile, you watched how he prepared your order while he talked to an elderly lady behind the counter. They were laughing about something, and the sound was like music to your ears. Oh, you were so smitten, weren’t you? Your smile grew a little sad; falling for a boy who was just here for the annual festival was bound to have a heartbreaking outcome, right? He would disappear and you would stay behind, unable to think of anyone else for quite some weeks.
His little ponytail danced with every movement he made, bouncing cutely when he nodded along to a story the elderly lady was telling. His smile seemed to be perpetually present, the corners of his mouth always pulled upward at least a little. The male radiated so much positive energy, it was regretful that you only got to admire him from a distance.
“Hey, your sweet skewer is ready,” a gentle voice called.
You approached the counter, ready to take it from his hand. Careful not to let your fingertips touch – you weren’t prepared for another heart attack – you took the skewer.
     “Thanks,” you said.
Maybe for the last time, you offered him a smile. But the smile he gave in return was one that stole your breath away. Warm and genuine, like the radiant sun that shone from the sky. It was a smile you hadn’t seen from him before, and a storm of butterflies was quick to rage in your stomach. Goodness, you thought. You were in love with his smile.
“Enjoy,” he beamed at you, before he hesitated. “Uhm, see you tomorrow?”
You blinked, processing what the male just said. He wanted to see you tomorrow? He wanted to see you tomorrow! He was working on the very last day of the festival as well. You would see him one last time before it was over. Of course you would take the opportunity. Happily so. Your poor heart was working double hours as you gave him a nod.
     “See you tomorrow.”
You felt like you were afloat when you walked away, your mind lingering somewhere around cloud nine. Your mind was full of him, of his smile and his ruby eyes, of his voice that was like music and the words he spoke to you. The skewer in your hand remained idle, for you were too occupied to even think of taking a bite. The memory of his gloom in your mind had been replaced by that of a smile that bloomed brightly, and what a blessing it was. You couldn’t help but feel giddy as you walked home.
Tomorrow, you’d see him again.
– – – – –
Actually, there wasn’t much reason to go to the festival again. You had seen all that was there to be seen and you basically skipped past everything you encountered on your way. The only thing that would make tonight special was the big firework show at the end of the night, to wrap up this year’s festival. You weren’t sure if you were going to watch tonight. It would be a while before it started, and your visit only had one purpose. It would be brief; you would buy yourself a skewer, take a good final look at the boy, amble around the festival for a bit to keep up your charade, and then head home and mull about the pretty guy behind the food stall.
The atmosphere was cheerful, just like the previous nights. Not much to your surprise, you didn’t quite share the glee. In fact, you were walking morosely, realizing all too well that tonight would be the last time you saw him. You tried not to show it, you forced a small skip in your step as you approached the food stall. At least the place was a bit more lively again than it was yesterday, brightened by the fairy lights and lanterns. You glanced around the daintily decorated streets, hoping that the warm gleam would lift your spirits a little.
Your mind was at war, brightness and gloom fighting for dominance. Gloom, because it would bring an end to your short-lived crush on the festival boy. Brightness, because he basically invited you to come back today. They fought fiercely, and you were on the fence in regards to how you felt. Sadly, the gloom seemed to have the upper hand, and you dragged your feet towards the food stall.
This time, you had to line up again, and you stood impatiently as you waited for your turn. You anticipated this moment the entire day, but it would be over in the blink of an eye. You’d order your skewer, memorize the smile he offered you, and walk off with slumped shoulders. It was the inevitable outcome of tonight. One might even call it a heartbreak.
You grew a little antsy as you got closer. You could hear his voice already, taking orders and thanking customers. Even after four days of doing the same work non-stop, he still sounded animated and cheerful. How did he keep that up? He must be a truly positive spirit who loved his job.
And then it was your turn.
It was as if everything froze over the very moment your eyes met. Time stopped as the two of you mindlessly stared at each other, both equally in awe. You were awfully aware of the way your heart hammered in your chest; it was the effect he had on you. He simply looked so beautiful, radiating kindness.
He was the first one to break the silent spell, a smile forming on his lips.
     “You came,” he brought out.
“Of course,” you smiled back at him.
Oh, if only this moment could last forever. Just you and him, surrounded by the warm lights and cheerful music of the festival. His smile was all you ever wanted to look at, for it was so joyous and wonderful.
“Kazuha?” the same elderly lady as he worked with yesterday spoke up. She moved to stand next to the male with hair as pale as the moon, and her eyes found you. Her skin wrinkled when she smiled, patting his shoulder. “I see,” she croaked. “You’re off for tonight.”
“What?” he began, his ruby eyes widening. “But–”
“No buts, young man,” the woman lightly scolded. “I’ll manage.”
You stood with your feet riveted to the pavement, barely processing what was happening. The boy – or Kazuha – hesitantly took off his apron and latex gloves and walked around the stand to meet you, doubt written in his eyes. The surprise got the best of you and all you did was stand there, stupefied because the pretty boy was suddenly in front of you. You gazed at the elderly lady with mild awe, and she smiled encouragingly. What was happening? Was this a dream? You fought the urge to pinch yourself.
“My name is Kazuha,” the male spoke in his gentle voice.
“I’m Y/N,” you introduced yourself, dazed by the sudden turn of events.
“It’s a pleasure to officially meet you, Y/N,” Kazuha smiled, seemingly catching on much quicker. He easily outdid the pace in which you could adapt to the new situation at hand. But if you looked closely, you saw the restlessness in his ruby eyes, and you could tell he carried a lot of nervousness under his charade of calmness.
Suddenly feeling very self-conscious, you took a quick look at your surroundings. The people that stood in line for the food stand all had their eyes on the scene, all wearing a hint of pleasant surprise on their features. You had no idea what to do or what to say, and wanted nothing but to vanish right then and there. But at the same time, you didn’t want to waste this golden opportunity. It would leave you with many regrets if you decided to chicken out now. He was so close yet so far out of reach every time you saw him behind the food stall and now he was in front of you, released from his duty and waiting for you to say something.
“Do you… want to walk around the festival for a bit?” you bravely offered, deciding to seize this opportunity to the best of your abilities. The boy with the dreamlike smile, who had you spellbound from the very first time you laid your eyes upon him, was within reach now and you had to make the most of it. You weren’t going to let this slip away. You mustered up a courageous smile. “I assume you haven’t seen much of it yet, since I always see you working here.”
“Sounds good to me,” Kazuha nodded. “I’ve been quite caught up in serving street food, indeed, and haven’t had the chance to enjoy the festivities myself.”
“Well then, tonight is your night,” you piped. You felt giddy and anxious at the same time, and you weren’t at all surprised that your voice came out a few octaves higher than usual.
Kazuha reciprocated your smile, and its gentleness eased your jitters a little bit. You walked off together, and you didn’t miss the way the old woman smiled fondly before you mingled with the crowd. You were electrically aware of Kazuha’s proximity; he walked so close to you that your arms touched occasionally, but that was inevitable while meandering through the swarm of people. There was absolutely nothing intimidating about him, but the fact that there no longer was a wooden stall that drove a wedge between the two of you was plenty intimidating on its own. Your interactions had been very limited to stolen glances and wistful smiles, but now you actually got to talk to him.
“Why don’t you give me a tour?” the moonlight-pale haired male suggested.
“Sure, I can do that,” you replied. As someone who loyally attended every year, you knew the festival grounds like the back of your hand. You were quite confident in your knowledge regarding these festivities, and you could tell Kazuha a thing or two about it.
Kazuha was a good listener, that was easy to figure out. What surprised you, though, was how words seemed to spill with ease around him. You found yourself talking animatedly as you led him through the decorated streets, talking about whatever came to mind; you told him about the history of the festival, explained details that represented your local culture, showed him your favorite stalls and booths and gushed about how pretty the fairy lights were. You even talked about stories from previous years, all from your own experience. It was easy to talk to him, and despite you being the one who talked the most, the conversation never felt like one-way traffic. Kazuha made sure to add little comments here and there, and sometimes he asked questions that made you elaborate on certain parts. He never seemed disinterested, and nothing made it look like he was done with all your talking.
Being so near to him made your heart beat a little faster, and every time he smiled at you awakened a swarm of butterflies in your stomach. Yet, you noticed how quickly you felt at ease around him. You were talking freely, a small skip in your step as you walked next to him.
Your mood was elated, but was that really much of a surprise? He had seemed so perfect while you admired him from afar, but up close that image didn’t falter. His smile lit up the entire festival, the fairy lights and colorful lanterns that hung from the garlands bleak in comparison to the brightness of his gentle smile. What made it even better was the fact that Kazuha was someone who wore a smile quite often, as he regarded his surroundings with a gentle demeanor. Being around him was simply so pleasant.
“I think you’ve seen pretty much everything now,” you concluded, coming to a halt near the starting point of your little tour – the food stall he worked at.
“It’s a pretty festival, I’m glad I got to work here this year,” Kazuha smiled.
You sat down on a wooden bench together, under a canopy of garlands and fairy lights. There were several other benches, all occupied by families or couples. Aside from that, the spot you decided to sit down at was fairly quiet. It was quite a contrast to the wide streets; on the last night of the festival, it was always the busiest. Everyone went all-out for the grande finale of the event. It was more crowded than the days prior, and the organization behind the festivities gave it their all. You were glad to be out of the crowd for a bit, enjoying a somewhat serene moment with Kazuha by your side.
“Say, do you live far away from here?” you began after a while. “You know, since you haven’t visited the festival before and only came around this year to work.” The question came out with a little effort, because you dreaded the answer that would follow.
“That depends on what you consider to be far,” Kazuha replied, flashing you a look. “I’m not from around, which is why I’ve never heard of this festival before. I’m only here because my job sent me to work here this year. It took me around two hours to get here, but they paid well so I took the job.”
“Oh,” you brought out, failing to hide the hint of sadness from your tone. That wasn’t what you had wanted to hear. Why couldn’t he live nearby? Two hours wasn’t that bad, but it also wasn’t necessarily around the corner. The two of you only just met, and you didn’t see it to be enough reason to travel two hours back and forth to see each other again. You would, without a doubt, but you had no idea if he was willing to. It seemed that your crush would be really short-lived, you bitterly thought.
“Why?” the male asked, and you swore you saw a teasing glint in his ruby eyes when he looked at you. “Scared that you’ll have to miss me?”
You nodded stiffly, refusing to look back at him. You were embarrassed to admit it like that, so blunt and straight-forward. It wasn’t hard to figure out how infatuated you were with him, and you were certain he would catch on as well.
“Well,” Kazuha started, clearing his throat before he hesitated. “Maybe it’s a bit early for this, but the feeling I had every time you passed by our food stall wasn’t there for nothing. Y/N, I think I like you. Traveling is nothing new for me, and I’ll be back before you have a chance to miss me. I want to get to know you better.”
His voice was earnest, the teasing glint gone entirely. Yet, the fact that he was so serious about this only stirred more butterflies to spring to life within you, and your cheeks heated up instantly. It felt surreal; you weren’t used to the idea of dreams becoming reality, and you sat frozen on the surface of the wooden bench, staring ahead of you until the festive lights were nothing but a blur. Kazuha just confessed to you, and the blissful feeling caught you utterly off guard. You forced yourself out of it, sucking in a breath.
“I like you too,” you brought out, which was nothing but the truth.
Kazuha smiled widely at you, and there was a little sparkle in his eyes that hadn’t been there before. But then he seemed to remember something, and his expression turned thoughtful.
“So the guy you came by with the other night…” he began.
“He’s just a friend,” you quickly reassured him. “Really, I only had eyes for you.”
“Yeah, you made that pretty clear,” Kazuha grinned, obviously relieved.
A small silence followed, and you mostly spent it wallowing in embarrassment. But the sensation of sheer happiness broke through the cracks, and a smile grew on your face as you looked at your hands – they rested so close to each other, a hair’s breadth away from touching. If you had the courage to do so, you would’ve dismissed the final distance and grazed your hand over his. The urge within you was strong.
“Y/N,” the male called out. “I heard there’s a firework show tonight.”
“There is, and it’s pretty famous,” you confirmed. “Locally, at least.”
“Do you want to watch it together?” he offered. “It sounds like a suitable finale for this festival.”
“Of course,” you reacted, fully aware of how romantic that idea was.
Maybe the firework show was the only moment where you felt remotely lonely, the previous years. It was the moment where love blossomed freely, as countless couples held hands as they gazed up at the glittering sky. You sneaked a glance at Kazuha and wondered, what if this year you wouldn’t be alone? Your eyes rested on your nearly-touching hands once more and for a brief moment, you allowed yourself to fantasize about holding hands.
You got up from the bench and moved away from the gazebo of light, on your way to secure a good spot to look at the firework show. Quite some others seemed to have had the same idea, and it was already pretty crowded once you got to the large plaza. Regardless, you managed to get a good position with a clear view on what was happening. Currently, some staff members were finishing the last preparations for the show. The buzz of anticipation was palpable, and you felt it too. You looked up at the dark sky, which would soon lend itself as the backdrop for a magnificent show.
“How many times have you seen this firework show before?” Kazuha asked next to you.
“Every year,” you told him. “For as long as I can remember.” You gave him a smile. “But every time feels like it’s the first time. There’s something special and impressive about it.”
Maybe it was because the everdark night sky would light up in colors so bright, or because the old tradition never failed to bring forth hope and joy. After all, it was widely believed that fireworks had the power to scare away evil spirits and fend off the darkness. This festival, but especially this night, always managed to diminish the negativity that lingered in your city. Everyone gathered together with merely one reason; to enjoy and have a good time.
And this year, it would be even more special. You stole a glance at the male next to you, who rested against the iron fence comfortably. An easy smile played on his lips as he watched the staff members prepare, and you could see the excitement in his eyes.
More and more people came to the plaza, and the carefree chatter resonated in the air. Everyone was cheerful, looking forward to the big finale that was about to happen. The minutes passed by. The announcer climbed up a stall wooden stage in the center of the square, his voice belting out his words buoyantly.
“Ladies and gentlemen and everyone in between,” he bellowed, spreading his arms to add some flair to his speech. “Our festival has come to an end, but it’s not over without one last tribute to the joy we share. I hereby announce, let the firework show commence!”
The final words of his sentence were inaudible, for the first fireworks got launched with a loud bang. They traveled up to the night sky with high velocity, before erupting in frothy sparks of white and blue. They sizzled and vanished, only to be instantly replaced by a rupture of red and green. A string of colors shot up high towards the sky, and the light was truly dazzling.
It was beautiful, and you gazed up at the night sky in awe. The noise was deafening, but what you got in return was worth the strain on your eardrums. The canvas of darkness that rested over the festival exploded into a myriad of colors, and a smile ghosted over your features. You loved this moment; you always looked forward to it. You dared to believe that fireworks really diminished evil spirits, for all you felt was joy and positivity.
Something warm touched your hand, and you tore your gaze away from the sky to look at Kazuha. He smiled shyly at you as he weaved his fingers between yours, taking a hold of your hand ever so gently. You couldn’t help the blush that painted your cheeks, but you accepted his gesture and offered him a warm smile. The look in his gentle ruby eyes made your heart swell with happiness, especially now that they caught and reflected the colorful lights that painted the sky. He gazed at you as if you were the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. Funny, you thought exactly the same about him. You felt giddy, and gave his hand a soft squeeze – which he returned ever so softly.
You felt nothing but pure bliss as you glanced up at the sky together, and you couldn’t stop smiling as you watched what remained of the firework show. It slowly came to an end, and the final bangs resonated over the town square until there was a moment of silence.
A sheen of smoke glided over the pavement, like spirits drifting away. Tonight’s firework show had fulfilled its purpose. The scent of gunpowder and chemicals wafted over the plaza, reminding you that the explosions of colors didn’t belong to merely a fairytale. It was very real, just like the way Kazuha’s hand gingerly held onto yours.
Then the crowd erupted into a round of applause, and cheers filled the air. You didn’t clap along, since you refused to let go of Kazuha’s hand – who knew when you could hold it again? Your hand fit into his so snugly, and you loved it that way. But you couldn’t help the cheers of joy that spilled over your lips, and the male next to you cheered along. It felt like long minutes until the crowd fell quiet again, scattering as they left the plaza to go home.
You turned to Kazuha, smiling brightly.
“I can’t believe I got granted a chance to talk to you,” you giggled.
Just then, a soft breeze pulled over the pavement, rusting your hair in a way most gentle. Kazuha smiled ever so sweetly, his eyes turning into little crescents.
“You’ll get plenty more,” he promised you.
This year’s festival was a great success, maybe the best festival you’d ever attended. A cute guy worked behind the stall that sold your favorite street food, but what seemed to be merely a short festival-crush turned out to be something mutual, something that had potential. Who knew where the two of you would end up? You couldn’t wait to find out.

prompt: “home” w/ kazuha <3 this is part of my good luck event, the masterlist can be found here! a/n: uhhh brainrot + word vomit = this ficlet (also not edited)
Tumblr media
Kaedehara Kazuha weaves secrets into his poetry, eloquence dripping from his words as he hides the truth on paper. He is always composed, soft smile on his lips and eyes filled with knowing. And yet, he finds himself stumbling over his words, trying to find the right thing to say when you accompany him on a walk through Inazuma. Now that the nation has been reopened and he no longer is a wanted criminal, he can indulge in free time without having to watch his back. He finds it rather nice to visit old friends and drop by the shops that still remain from his childhood days. They're a reminder of childhood innocence and home.
But 'home' is a fickle word for a wanderer like Kazuha. He travels from place to place, in tune with the wind, trusting that it will guide him to where he needs to go. When the Vision Hunt Decree struck the wind took him to the docks on Ritou before he was whisked away to Liyue upon the Alcor. From Liyue he travelled from place to place, never staying too long before the wind picked up again and he searched for something new. When Inazuma reopened he found himself tracing back his steps to Ritou and to Inazuma City, and finally, to the last remains of the Kaedehara household. And yet, Inazuma doesn't quite feel like home anymore.
Home is not a place, to Kaedehara Kazuha. Home is a feeling that's warm with a comforting autumn chill. It's knowing that you have, and always will be by his side. It's your presence during stormy nights when the roaring sounds of thunder crack across the sky and his body tenses up at the sight and sound. It's his journal, tucked aside but always with him, that's filled with poems of his adventures and experiences, gold laced words full of emotion and longing. Home is travelling aboard the Alcor with the crew, the waves crashing against the wood as he grips onto the railing next to you, accompanied by wind and song.
'Home' has never been stagnant. It's always ever changing, shifting with the wind, toying with his thoughts as he comes to terms with a conflicted past and a new future. He has a talent for hiding behind his words, picking them out carefully so as to not reveal too much, but enough to leave one struck with curiosity. But not with you.
With you he finds that his words come out a bit too rushed, tinged with excitement and bashfulness as he recalls an embarrassing story from his childhood. He shows you around Inazuma, pointing out the shops and restaurants that line the streets while his hand rests on your lower back. He ignores the stares he gets from his friends who peek around the corner trying to figure out just when is he finally going to confess. Instead, he's decided that he'll take his time, allow you to fall in love with Inazuma has he once did, and if you ask him to show you more, he'll gladly take your hand and tug you in whatever direction the wind calls.
"You're rather quiet today, is everything alright?" Your voice pulls him from his thoughts. Red eyes blink rapidly to clear with daydream in his mind as he looks up at you, standing above him with two sticks of sticky sweet dango in your hand and an excited glint in your eyes. His back rests against the bark of an old sakura tree, the wind bringing about a pleasant scent that wraps around you and drifts across the streets.
He chuckles softly and shifts to a more comfortable position while making space for you. "I was simply lost in thought, being in Inazuma brings back many memories." You smile at his words, well aware that the trauma he's been slowly healing from will always be present in his mind, regardless if he's long come to an understanding with it all. But he's content to be with you and continue to grow.
He won't tell you now and perhaps not anytime soon, not until he can grasp onto the words in his mind and put them together so they flow with elegance. Home is the feeling that you bring to him.

“Beautiful.” A Kazuha X Fem!reader Fanfic
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Again one of my proudest possessions, so I want to post it here too for safe keeping <3
Pairings: Kazuha x Fem!reader
Warnings: reader is insecure. Did not proof read
Genres: fluff
Type: drabble
Word count: 835 words
Summary: Reader is insecure about herself, but Kazuha likes her for who she is. + Confession
Tumblr media
Everyone would fall for him if they know what kind of person he is. Gentle and kind by nature, poetic with his words and patient with his gestures, he’s the type to treat his loved one like loyalty and you knew that too. It’s just the fact that,, you aren’t confident enough about yourself to fully accept your feelings for him. To you, he deserves better, he deserves someone prettier and someone whose willing to give more than you think you’re able to give. Yet, every time you try to avoid the kind wanderer, he always seems to find his way back to you. Why was that? Why does he care to stay when he deserves better?
Unknowingly to you Kazuha always has his eyes on you and has always seen you as the most beautiful girl he laid his eyes upon. To him, your body is beautiful, your face is gorgeous and your personality is breathtaking. Even if you try to hide your insecurities from him, he knows you’re insecure. He can feel your attitude change around him, your body posture curling and trying to hide your body in some way. It hurts him seeing you so insecure, but he hopes one day you’ll see yourself the same way he sees you.
Your hand trails over the railing from The Crux, feeling the small marks on the wood. You told yourself you wouldn’t go with Beidou and Kazuha on the boat to Inazuma, but in the end you gave in and joined anyways. Maybe because you could never say no to Kazuha his puppy eyes whenever you reject his ideas at first. ‘Dangit.. Why must he be so cute..’ You think to yourself. A breeze touches your exposed neck, goosebumps forming in your delicate skin. Today the breeze seems to be colder than usual and you didn’t fully prepare for colder weather. Before you can think of a possible solution to the sudden cold temperature, a voice calls out to you. “Are you cold, Y/N? It’s colder than usual today.”
The sudden voice you hear from behind you makes you jump a little before turning around to face him. “Ah.. Kazu.. Yeah I guess it’s kind of chilly today. I’ll be okay though~” You answer him, cheeks flaring up a little from embarrassment he caught you thinking to yourself. “Let’s get you inside instead. I know it’s going to rain soon and I also do not want you to catch a cold.” He holds out a hand for you to take, a gentle yet sweet gesture he uses on you so you’d come with him.
It’s hard to reject such an offer so you gently put your hand on top of his and let him lead you away from the deck and to a warmer place instead. Once you two got inside, you watch him let go of your hand and instead grab a blanket and put it around your body. “You should be more prepared next time, the breeze can get cold really fast. Always bring an extra pair of warm clothes with you, dove.”
The sudden nickname makes your heart skip a beat, cheeks flaring up this time from the sudden rush of love you’re feeling for the man before you. “I’m sorry.” You say, but instead of more scolding, you see Kazuha his eyes soften for you. “Why do you think so little of yourself, darling?”
“W-wha-?”
“I know you’re insecure about yourself. I just personally don’t understand why. To me, you’re like a work of art. Your words flow like music out of your mouth, your personality is as warm and bright as the sun, your beauty is as beautiful as the prettiest and brightest of flowers and your whole existence brightens my life more than the sun is even able to do.”
You’re at loss of words, quickly noticing how Kazuha his cheeks turned pink from his sudden confession. ‘Wait.. is this a confession?’ You ask yourself, yet you couldn’t seem to place those words on your tongue and speak them out loud.
“My words might be a lot to take in right now. So I want you to take your time and let this flow in your mind for a bit longer before you answer me back.”
You quickly shake your head and you part your lips to finally speak your mind too. “I like you.” Yet the way those words left your parted lips, ended up louder than you hoped they would. His cheeks flare up more, turning into a more reddish glow, yet his smile is brighter than his blush.
“That was supposed to be my line, dove.” He let’s out the cutest chuckle before speaking once again. “I hope one day I can make you realize how beautiful you truly are. But... Let’s take things slow and steady my sunshine.” Silently you agree with him, nodding along with his words, words you never thought he’d tell you.
He really is too good to be true.

You're doing so well in your journey, my dove. Ignore what others say about you, they will never know just how much effort can go into maintaining your weight and keeping an exercise routine together. Please, do not let the words of others discourage you too much, for there are far more out there cheering you on. How would you like it if I joined you on your exercises? It might help you look forward to them more if you have someone to enjoy them with, no? -Kazuha

hii!! could you do kazuha, winter, 10:39 pm ❤️
thank you so much for the request!!
kazuha, winter, 10:39 pm
the only sounds are snow lightly crunching under feet and you, rubbing your hands together in attempt to seek some warmth. kazuha walks slightly infront you, he doesn’t look cold at all, despite the snowstorm that just ended, and not having a coat.
“are we there yet?” you ask.
“soon,” he promises. he looks back, lifts a brow, and smiles. “are you still cold?” kazuha is referring to when you complained to him earlier during the walk when you left the camp and roaring fire behind, and he gave you his coat.
you frown at him. “obviously.”
ten minutes ago, you were snug in your sleeping pack, warmed by the fire and kazuha next to you. your tent was enough to keep out the snow, and it was a light storm, all things considered.
“c’mon,” kazuha says, waiting for you to catch up before continuing. “it’ll be worth it.”
“it better be,” you grumble, but relent. kazuha had a particular talent for seeking out beauty in nature; you trusted him enough to have him lead you through a cold forest, in the middle of the night, covered in snow.
but then it’s five minutes later and you’re still walking; you’re tired and a little groggy and seriously wondering what’s taking him so long.
“kazuha…” you almost whine.
“okay, okay! we’re here,” kazuha says, taking your hand, leading you into a particularly thick spot of trees.
“what—oh!” your question is cut off abruptly. the sight before you is a small clearing with a perimeter of trees that seem to bend towards the center. icicles drip and hang off of them, clearing a cylindrical glass effect; the silver moonlight is reflected all over.
“it’s beautiful,” you whisper.
“so are you—more so, actually.”
you playfully roll your eyes, but archons above, does kazuha mean it.

LOLITA 楽しくない KAZUHA X FEM!READER :: NO FUN
a recreation of “you dont let me have any fun” scene in lolita 1962. although i made sure to keep some parts different. warning /!\ age gap. pedophilia, stepdad, deception, unhealthy relationship, mental illness, lolita, sexualizing daughter with father
Tumblr media
You sat comfortably on the pink velvet coach, sunbathing beneath the evening. Reading your favourite magazine with all the new celebrity gossip and clothing you’ve seen everyone wear nowadays,  relaxing in the cool breeze flowing right through the open window. Your father was right beside you  and reading his newspaper, his tie a little loosened, his white cream hair disheveled around his shoulders. The both of you were in silence like it ever was in the afternoon.
Except.
The phone rung. Kazuha, your stepfather reached towards the telephone with a sigh and gave you a smile when he noticed you glanced at him. He talked with the thing for a short while, his brows sinking above his eyes as he gave repeated apologies at the telephone. But he also seemed twisted in confusion as he would always cock his head at the side. He put his newspaper and the telephone down with a final goodbye.
He takes a deep breath and you look back to your magazine with slight tremor. “[Name],” he calls you, and you tighten your lips and hummed. “Darling, you know that fee I gave you for your piano teacher?”
You winced at the memory. You remembered that you spend the money with your friends in the mall, and then spend the spare change in an ice cream shop. And you also remembered how yummy the milkshake tasted melting sweetly on your tongue.
“That’s right. I gave it to you that day, remember?” you tell him, the lie was bitter on your tongue since you had never lied to your father before. Not at least, you’ve been lying to your father awfully frequent recently. His eyes narrow. “No, no,” he said, recalling back. “You never gave me anything that day. Where is the money?” he sounded a little bit demanding that you look away from him with your cheeks burning.
“Come to think of it, the other day I was driving across town and I spotted you in one of the ice cream shops, with a... boy?” his tone dropped lowly at that, you can see where he is starting to get angry. “Did you or did you not, spend the money for yourself? I mean that money I gave you.”
You swallowed the swell in your throat. “Yes,” you whimpered fearfully. “Mhm?” he asks you. “Y-yes.” You answer a bit loudly this time. When you glance at him again, you cannot see a trace of fury on his calm face. He took a deep breath. “If you wanted money, I could have simply given it to you.”
“You’re not mad I stole the cash for the piano?” you whispered, eyebrows raised.
“That doesn’t mean you aren’t wrong, but no. I’m not mad. I can give your teacher the fee myself because I can’t trust you with that anymore.”
You sighed in relief and apologized. Although Kazuha still didn’t seemed satisfied enough. You questioned for a moment, but there isn’t anything else you can recall to confess to him since that was the only thing that made your heart heavy. He deserved to know the truth and you felt so awful lying to him.
“Father? Something on your mind?”
He looked at you, fire in his eyes that you’ve never quite seen before. “So what about that boy? Were you on a date or something?”
It made you wonder what kind of anger was in his gaze. Was it shock? Because he was angry and surprised that he never knew you would ever talk to any boy? Can it be because he was still lying about how he wasn’t mad about the money but in the back of his mind, he still is.
Or, jealousy?
It couldn’t be like that right? He was upset that you should’ve joined him for supper. That you weren’t with him when you should be.
“Date? No. It wasn’t a date. Those were the boys in my school, father. They’re no one special,” a smile slits your lips and you tilt your head at him. And then you pout when that glare in his red eyes doesn’t go away.
“But you two seem quite awfully close,” he said lowly. You hummed, rising from the chair to sit on his lap. He doesn’t wrap his arms around you like usual just yet. Instead, he stares deep into your eyes, awaiting for the truth to pass your lying green lips.
“Don’t be silly,” you whispered, your hot breath fanning against his face, but he doesn’t fluster, or move. “It was a date, wasn’t it.” He snaps and it didn’t sound like a question. “No, it was not.” You answered firmly, pursing your lips.
Kazuha sighs and then he looks at you like you’re his most hated person in the world. “How could you think I’m stupid [Name]? I’ll find out who that boy is sooner or later myself. Or maybe I won’t if you’ll tell me. Who is he? Your boyfriend?” he growled. You kiss the side of his mouth and that seemed to ease him a little bit.
“You think I’m crazy?” you chuckled. “I’d rather be with you.”
At that, he smiled, amused. “Then you cannot see anyone else but me,” he declared. Triumph crosses his face and you stand from his lap, huffing with tightened fist. “You can’t say you’re the only person I can talk to. Don’t be like that now.”
You put your hands on your hips and growled. “Just because I said I’d rather be with you does not mean you’re the only one I’ll greet everyday. Surely you’re joking.”
He raises his brows and puts one leg over his knee. He knows you’re angry. He knows you couldn’t live like that. And he knows you would rather die. He knows you all too well, doesn’t he?
“I’m not.” Kazuha replied. “He might do nasty things to you.”
“You’re one to talk,” you laughed.
Kazuha pinked and looked away.
“I won’t listen to you. You can’t let me have any fun around here.”
And now you two are perfectly matched in temper. He slightly raises his voice at you, bile seeping into his throat that he snaps from his chair. “That’s not true,” he tries to keep calm, because he understands that a child like you will be easily frightened if he lost his composure. Yet how could you ever see what kind of devotion he has for you if he doesn’t yell once in awhile?
“I bring you everywhere, don’t I? Your favorite concerts, movies, museums, theater, parks - don’t I drive you to other cities when you ask me? I even take you to the restaurants you adore so much. And who does the cooking? The cleaning? Who tidies your room? Who does the laundry around here? I do. You don’t even have to lift one finger. Don’t we have lots of fun? You and I?”
The silence was killing him
It was never like this. The way you look at him made him flush. Do you think he was pathetic now? He waited for you to answer. In fact, he was silently pleading for it. But all he could see was himself inside your eyes. A freak.
Because of you, he was so disgusting. So in love. And such a fool. As if you could ever love him. At least, Kazuha likes to pretend. But he sees that now. That it will never be that way. He frowns, gives a hopeless sigh, and slowly stands from his chair.
“Come here,” you whispered, lips curled. His head lifts towards you, his mouth slightly parted in confusion. He reaches towards your figure, and your wrap your arms around him. “Still love me?”
Those deep red eyes soften in tenderness and he squeezes your waist lovingly. “Of course I do,” he replied with a faint sigh.
“Father,’‘ you called, trying to accumulate as much affection in your tone as you can. “You know I meant that I could never love anyone as much as you. Does it matter if I spend my time with them when they could do nothing to please me? At least, not like you? You’ll always have the most of my heart. There’s nothing to worry about.’‘
Kazuha couldn’t look at you in the eyes. All he could do was nod. How pathetic he is. How greedy he is. Taking you for himself because you’re all he has. That’s why he tried to give you all the fun in the world, because he wanted to show you that there couldn’t be any happiness you could have if not with him. But perhaps he’s gone a little overboard.
He felt a warm, gentle hand press against his cheeks and his stomach churls with butterflies. “Kazuha,” you murmur, voice obscenely delicate. Crimson pools meet your eyes, and your lips twisted into a smile. “Can you kiss me?’’
And he does, willingly so. His body floods with sweetness as his lips touches yours, pressing your body closer, he doesn’t want to part. He belongs with you. And he will never forget how endearing you are to him. It’s not fair. You’re just too lovely. And he thinks he might just fall apart.
You pull away breathless and then nuzzle into the crook of his neck, inhaling the pleasant fragrance that follows him. Your arms ring tighter around his neck and he smiles at your heart-warming embrace. “I love you.”
