Dear Ken Diary,

So apparently there's this thing in the Real World called "alarm systems" which are things to help keep buildings and people safe. They like warn people with really loud noises that unwanted people are in the building when they're not supposed to be. I asked if an introvert came up with the idea as a joke, and honestly, I thought that was a pretty good joke. I mean, it's a good idea honestly. Not like the whole keeping people away thing, but like the safety thing. Because there are like apparently people in the Real World who want to do mean things to other people and their stuff, so they've got to protect themselves. Which is kinda wild to think about to be honest. We don't even lock our doors here. I mean, like seriously. Our Dreamhouses and Mojo Dojo Casa House are so like...open in their construction that locking doors would be kinda dumb. Besides, nobody here would do something so crazy as to like take from someone else. That's just mean! Okay like yes, I took during the Patriarchy, but I learned from that and moved on so I mean like no one post-Patriarchy would do that. Anyway! So like a couple of the Kens decided it would be funny if they installed an alarm system in the Mojo Dojo Casa House to go off and be REALLY REALLY LOUD when I walked in the house. Dude. *sigh* Dude. It was not funny. They thought it was because I somehow managed to hear them laughing over the LOUD BLARING NOISES and the really fast and loud heartbeat in my ears. Because I'm sure I made a pretty funny face when the alarm system scared the blonde out of my hair. It's just a saying that didn't actually happen. You know what else wasn't funny? The fact they couldn't remember the passcode they picked to turn the system off. So it just kept BLARING AND BLARING AND BLARING until the BLPD showed up, and Officer Barbie took care of the problem for us. Dude, that was a little embarrassing, but I'm glad she made the NOISES stop. I thought Cool Ken's alarm clock was bad, but no, this was like way worse. The Kens apologized and promised they would never do anything like that again. The NOISES weren't worth it to them either. My ears are still kinda ringing honestly. But ya know, that makes me think. Does Barbie need one of those things in the Real World? Does she think it's SO LOUD and her ears ring too? Does...does that mean that like...she's not safe? Or maybe she is if she's got one and it actually like does the job. I hope Barbie's safe. Okay so like not to ruin a serious moment, but I just got a text from the Ken who videoed me walking into the Mojo Dojo Casa House, and believe it or not, I can hear me screaming over the alarm system. I don't actually remember screaming, but it doesn't surprise me that I did. That was one BIG AND LOUD SURPRISE. Okay but I'm not gonna lie, the video is kinda funny.

my favorite hc is that penelope was told by the ladies in waiting to go and stay in her room and not to come out for anyone

and she hears screams and whatnot and is like oh fuck now theyve done it, the suitors are gonna destroy the place

only to hear the screams lessen in volume and being like ? are they killing each other?

but then she hears a scream clear as day "THIS WILL BE YOUR FATE" and she's like🧍‍♀️no fuckin shot my husband is down there on a murder spree

and she immediately starts pacing back and forth like "LADIES HELP ME PREPARE I NEED TO LOOK DIVINE" and it's a full makeover sequence

and they're posing her and being like "hold on, tilt your chin up a little bit, turn to the side like 12 degrees- BOOM my lady you are serving such cunt"

and then they hear odysseus' loud ass steps going up the stairs and all the ladies scatter while penelope tries to look nonchalant like "AHEM....😳 is it you? have my prayers been answered?"

a minor headcanon that I will die defending is that reigen initially assumed that mob’s supposed “psychic powers” were just how he rationalized his autism to himself. like here’s an obviously autistic kid, one reigen clocks immediately because he’s, well, reigen, and he’s talking about extra sensory perception and having powers he can’t control, powers that are scary. obviously, he assumes, this is something the kid picked up from his parents, a way for him to rationalize his alienation from other children— that no, you’re not “different”, you’re special (not even going into the parents who think their autistic children are like, aliens) and the other kids can see that you’re special and so they treat you like you’re weird and creepy and they don’t invite you to play and they whisper behind your back but it’s fine, because one day they’ll see how special you really are. and adult autistic reigen arataka, who was also probably-definitely bullied as a child, decides to nip that thought in the bud and gives the whole spiel, that no, “psychic powers” (autism) don’t make you special, and yes, they do make you different, and that’s fine because everyone’s different, and at the end of the day you have agency and you get to decide the kind of person you’ll be, so choose to be a kind one, and he sees this kid hanging off his every word as he tells him the kind of stuff he wishes someone had told him when he was so little and alone, and he mentally pats himself on the back and hypes himself up for another cigarette.

and then the kid makes a teacup float in front of him and he’s like oh. damn. can you kill ghosts
