speaking of ships with no chemistry: Lazuli/Speed/Silvia. theyre all so toxic to each other and Speed has shown clear disinterest in them both for nearly the whole comic. They only got together in the end cuz The Fans Wanted It, completely ignoring stuff like Lazuli/Silvia kissing Speed during a PTSD flashback without his consent. I can go on and on about how much the romance in this comic is bad but I’ll be here all day lmao. I may make a rant about them all in another post in the future

TLDR for that being: most speed ships suck (I see him as aro tbh, Stella was an exception), Black and Pearl also suck but not as much, I’m glad Crystal didn’t get with Trace

Leaf needs more personality, tbh all the girls do. Like seriously name one female character that doesn’t have any major ties to a guy. like even Sunshine has a love interest in Axel and they’re 3/4 years old

I wish the berserker lore made sense. ik EV made it overly complex to Spite The Haters or whatever but I just don’t really get it half the time. in terms of unique stuff ES has like those and the Coastal Eevees or the timeline resets it could’ve been handled a LOT better and made more sense

(and I know the Journals have more info but I’ll get to those in a sec)

Shade just sucks as a villain and you can tell he was rushed to give the finale a proper final battle (Special 12B wasn’t meant to be the finale originally if you didn’t know that)

(If I were to make a final villain to ES it would’ve been Alan but that’s just me lol)

there’s way too many characters and most people can’t even tell the slight differences in appearance as well as I can. like there were people mistaking Blaze (Pearl’s mom, Flareon with the hair swirly thing) and Mollie (Triplets mom, Flareon with a leg missing) as the same person for a while and that isn’t really good for design and story stuff. and like there’s so many characters that show up once and never again until you find out that They Actually Had A Bunch Of Story Relevancy You Didn’t Know Until Just Now! (Shade)

and looking at the drafts for the After Story it doesn’t really answer any questions and just made things more confusing?? and there’s also stuff that I just. refuse to accept as canon. Speed would NOT abandon his daughter for years just cuz “he wants to explore again” yeah he may not be the best father figure in the world but CMON :((

AND SPEAKING OF THAT: there’s way too much Journal only content, which is fine if the average reader knew about all those journals. The stuff from those should’ve really been incorporated into the story sooner, cuz most stuff that’s been established in journals for years only got to shine in the comic at the very end

Thanks for answering my question about watching S1-6 for choni. I started but couldn't stand the cringe that is watching Archie and Veronica together so I ended up just watching compilations on yt and bits of certain episodes.

IMO they get less scenes/development for a 19+ episode show than I was expecting but I love their chemistry. The reason for their break up in S5 so out of the blue and that key party scene was brutal. Mad they never got back together as adults. But you're right the context of their S6 storyline especially has put a new perspective on them in S7 😭 (the journey i went on to figure out who that guy Toni was singing to at the end of S6 was lmao) S6E4 is great! Also, adult Cheryl is the best dressed character on TV period.

More ppl should've been talking about that abigail/thomasina scene last year than Cheryl fighting the comet bc jfc 🥵

they definitely had less than most supporting series regulars would get on other shows (probably on par for other wlw ships tho lbr), but they got much more than any other non core four ship got on the show, though it was definitely in and out. they'd go half seasons with nothing, and then have pretty consistent focus for the next half. but i'm glad they've finally found the balance for the final season and are going out on the highest note for them possible, something that is easier to appreciate when you know how bad we were in the trenches before.

the break up definitely came out of nowhere and was fairly nonsensical, but considering how they set up the core four break ups for the time jump (cheating), i didn't mind the contrived family issues, it saved their relationship from being tainted like the others. i also kinda liked that they brought their long standing, established family feud back and made them kinda star crossed lovers, even if they never did anything with it post time jump because they're hacks. adds a little something to the soulmate reveal later.

the key party scene is by far chonis lowest moment, oof. so brutal, especially considering they started the time jump off so well. they had such delicious angst in those first few episodes and then the writers just took a complete 180 and shit all over them for no reason :/ do feel a little vindication that cheryl ended up being like 95% right in her assurance that it was a mistake to have a kid with kevin and fangs, even if she went about it the wrong way.

but yes! s6 was hard to sit through with how little scenes they got, but it was all worth it in the end. well, not the wedding, that was unnecessarily cruel, since the writers knew they were going back to choni, but whatever. 6x04 and 6x22 are two of the best episodes of the show imo, and changed the trajectory of their story so much and salvaged the damaged they'd done pretty well. also really makes their storyline this season hit so much more than any other and feel so much more relevant and connected to the past than the other characters too. i just need the writers to bring it all together in those last two episodes by having them get their memories back, at least briefly, so toni can find out and finally admit what she always felt. and lmao, the way the show just had toni age that kid up for nothing and not care that she was missing out on his entire childhood, before seemingly erasing him from existence will never not be funny. that kid ruined my life but i got the last laugh.

1.) Byerson - Will/Dustin: I just think they’re really sweet anytime they interact. They never fight and they’re always so kind to each other. I like in s1 when Dustin hugs Will at the end 🥺 and in s3 when Will and Dustin are on the hill alone and he invites Dustin to hangout sometime like they used to— my heart. They also just sit back and watch Lucas and Mike mess everything up LOL. Just very pure overall.

Also quite a tall lady,tall as Sin may i add n that's without heel's bcuz she sure loves wearing them (i made her so tall that I forget who's actually tall tall in this game like you know i have it bad when i call Ran/Mizu a midget n then see their actual height n go NVM THEIR TALL each time). Also is clear she has her issues as some days she's not doing so hot.

Thanks to Mizuki she got close to kokuyo back at old starless, they didn't interact unless kokuyo had to help in the kitchen and even then she would just give him the cold treatment or be kinda snappy at him (at least her tone) N he wouldn't bother her much anyway so he didn't care she did her job...that isn't till he saw Zinnia give food to Mizuki for free or when Mizuki stole money not just for him but for her too it's when he went from okay miss talk💀what the fuck going on here. Results Zinnia isn't so far from Mizuki situation (basically living in the streets) and just kinda became her big bro over time. She's very thankful of him so outside of starless it isn't odd to see her with kokuyo bcuz she invited him out for drinks.

Actually wouldn't be surprised if she didn't even talk to him LMAO bcuz she only knows the new members bcuz she visits those she's pretty close if not she would be oblivious to some,tho when they do talk can see they just neutral with each other like yeah he's/she nice.

But aside from trying to annoy each other it's clear how Zinnia personality comes out immediately, she's free to be loud,casual and even childish self at times with him like is really freeing! Another member she owns to a lot, actually considers him a family n to a point she calls him consistently brother, even when she mad at him and him at her they never really stay far away from each other. Truthfully when not being siblings tm she acts very big sisterly towards him+ the cheat code to get zinnia to trust u easily.

Kongou: "The one guy i show cute pics of my dog" NSNSKSKS Like all out of starless he's the only one who sees and interact with Zinnia the most like ofc before b even form she was already warm up to him and his kind and pacifist personality really makes her feel comfortable to be like "i think is okay...to take the leap and trust him already...i think"-> cut to her n him just chatting all the time on the kitchen like even Qu,her childhood friend is like impressive you made her talk this much n there's Kongou like man idk if that's impressive i just mention how we can make this cute cake n she's suddenly rambling about all the ingredients. They support each other and slowly(more like quickly) Kongou becomes someone Zinny would call family.

Qu: Childhood friend's with ups and down, It's clear something is up with them considering they seem to hold back from telling each other feelings. Despite that Qu is very caring toward Zinnia and Zinnia is always worried about him which he can't help but chuckle. Qu and Zinnia are often hanging out starless or coming togher when schedule coincide. Qu the one who help her restart her closet with clothes she wants to wear and be proud of wearing, her hype friend absolutely does not let her wallow in her apartment for to long line "girl were going outside oh,also hi doggy- actually being your dog." Main one helping her out in being more polite since she used to speak very informally and loud and that kinda keep people away from her thinking she's a deliquent (did not help her old fashion clothes looked like she was one).Not like he found that a fault though...but she wishes to change n move forward and he's here to help.

Kasumi: He is a token,a crumb of aniki adjacent( n i know he's canonly a big bro) because he does act like it at times when Zinnia clearly been seen in distress but aside from that another one that can make zinnia easily talk bcuz he does over her (not) biggest secret: she's a foodie. Like he can literally talk about sweets of any kind and she's bouncing out off him happily,it's refreshing to see how comfortable she is talking to someone else that isn't her closes friend's,it's like that one acquaintance your more than happy to hang but there isn't many opportunities.

Hari: Did not like him nope,Maica was lucky bcuz he had Qu to introduce him n she went "ah so i can safely warm up to him got it", Hari is absolutely 100% a new member with no one to back him up nor was he Taiga where like at least she can be like "is dat vidi games?", she did not trust him especially after realizing he's a rich boy,sure she greet him with a smile he's no Lico but it's clear she didn't want to be alone,would get easily distressed if she was and would leave so it quickly turned awkward when mokuren invited her, didn't help the other 3 member where close to her so Hari always attempting to win her over her trust.

yeah i screamed and cried as twice as much, esp when dustin was holding him, like bro what, he can't die, i was saying it with dustin that he can't die and after that the disappointment, the unfairness set in, like steve got bit by a bat too but he lived, dont even get me started on max, IT'S SO UNFAIR, he had his MOMENT, IT WAS HIS YEAR, im just ugh really disappointed by his death, pretty numb about it, who knew one death could bring such a huge feeling of disappointment like the posts ive seen where brutal and really mad but i suppose they had the right since eddie had potential, him dying was unfair, it was just for shock value and it didn't really advance the plot unless they're using that for season five

the disappointment is really real, im really sad and beyond pained that it had to go that way, they're right eddie could've been kept around just like max and robin, we prayed for steve and robin too much, forgetting who we really should've prayed for but yeah im glad those two are alive, i feel really bad for his uncle though, his nephew missing, having his poster constantly vandalized then only told that he was dead ughh it's so unfair, i am in pain and i miss him already, i loved him like a child, he was amazing and fuckkk

also i remember someone saying that if hopper and el reunite again and hopper says hey kid, they were going to lose it, i wonder how they're doing rn lmao

to be honest i really wish it ended with season four, idk this season felt like the end and for it to be succeeded feels wrong but all in all it was actually a great season finale, just eddie's death really did sour everyone's enjoyment, despite how i feel ill stick around because i love this show and am too attached to it, it's basically my comfort show

though to be honest, i got a liiiitle bit disappointed by the end, when they were showing soo yeol not accepting the bribe. because stories that go 'man is bad - shit happens - man is good now' are boring. no one can change completely. and it would be really fun to see him keeping some bad habits :) (if i can call bribery a habit lmao) BUT! they saved it by going back to the start and making soo yeol do that flying kick. hilarious, fun, in character - showing that he changed but not into a perfect, boring citizen. i believe he and k are merged now so he's a little bit crazy <3 and we love to see it

and they wrapped up the rest so nicely too!

boss yong - her ending was so unrealistic, SO SATISFYING. i was really glad to see her murder yunho <3

hui gyeom & soo yeol - i was happy to see they didn't end up in the relationship. because i ship them yes, but i felt like there's a lot of work to do before they can get together. it was pretty realistic and mature but still sweet so i loved that

and jeong hun!!! :((( baby!! his ending made me emotional. because soo yeol really got to be a hero in the end. just like his brother and mother. to give this boy a new future and hope... you know i'm weak for the stories involving food & found family :')

oh and THE HUG!!! it was perfect!!! silly and emotional at the same time, it felt so right.

bad and crazy gave us everything - it was fun, exciting, ridiculous but also heartwrenching and serious in the right moments. its only crime was being so short!! we deserved at least 16 episodes

in conclusion: i really loved this drama and i'm going to miss it 💔
