during my first round of batim brainrot, i created this modern au where everyone is freed from the ink (all human, same ages as before) but it was a complete comedy. no angst, and no official title (it just became known as the modern fic). i’ve decided to redo it as usual because that was a long time ago, but now i’ve placed them in 2022. the funniest part is joey wants to do modern animation for the bendy cartoons now, so we get bendy cartoons literally in the style of the mario bros movie😭 sammy also keeps threatening the musicians because they’re all on tik tok during practice

constantly thinking about the PERFECT setup supergirl season 1 had to make kara queer;

"oh my god, you're a lesbian" – winn to kara, in the very FIRST episode.

"hell, i wanna date her" – kara, about lucy lane.

"she does kinda give off a sapphic vibe, with that big old butch S chestplate" – leslie willis (livewire) about supergirl.

there were so many other instances in s1 alone, let alone in later seasons when lena showed up (recounting every queer-coded supercorp interaction would require a whole podcast). it was the PERFECT pretext to make her even just a little bit fruity, but the cw just couldn't handle it i guess

I just got INCREDIBLY GOOD NEWS at the cardiologist! Unexpectedly, inexplicably, remarkably good.

"Look at this," he said, and showed me the CAT results from earlier this year, with all the beautiful blood vessels like flawless white brushstrokes. "It's perfect. Your chances of having a heart attack are about as low as they can possibly be. Your heart is incredibly healthy. You're probably going to be the healthiest person I see today."

Considering my dad's heart disease, the strange finding on the CAT, my activity level, and my diet, I was completely shocked, and this is an incredible relief. I can't even express what a relief it was. Legit started crying while I was in line at Starbucks.

First time I've ever been booted from a practice for being too healthy.

Quiet moments and Silent Questions (Moon Knight System x reader)

Steven

She and Steven were sitting across from each other in at the café, trying to squeeze in some time together, before she leaves for an inconveniently timed business trip. Things were just really starting to make sense, they had just started to get serious in this relationship, Steven had finally found the courage to tell her he was a system, and what that meant, it was bumpy at first, but she felt like she was handling it well.

So of course the minute the four of them were just starting to get into the flow of things, is when her boss decided this would be the best time to send her to help with the start up with a new branch of the company, in Switzerland, for a month. She had tried to argue she had personal things to attend to at home, but without having a real reason, not wanting to divulge anything about her boyfriend(s?) she was forced to go or say good bye to any chance of a promotion in the next year. So here she was, sitting with Stevens hands in hers their tea cups cold and long forgotten as they opted to just sit together. Enjoying each other’s quiet company.

She could tell Steven wanted to say something, the way his brow slightly furrows, he searches her eyes looking for an answer to the question in his mind. Wets his lips with his tongue, before he looks directly at her, the concerned lines in his fore head as his eyebrows push together, and his dark eyes meeting hers with desperation.

“Can I kiss you? Please?”  He silently begs.

She gave him the smallest smile, before leaning in to kiss him, her soft lips on his, gently moving together. At first she looks into his eyes as they kiss before softly closing them as she puts her hand on his cheek.

Marc

When she got back from Switzerland it was really hard for them to fall back into any sort of pattern. But Marc took the absence the hardest. Which led to him retreating to the headspace more often than not. She tried to be patient but this was starting to become a problem. She would come back to Steven’s flat at the end of the day and there would be signs that Marc had been fronting, things of his left out, or a suddenly fronting Steven or Jake standing in the middle of the room, often confused as to why they were suddenly pushed out. Bothering everyone else involved, Including the cat. He was avoiding her and that hurt. It hurt a lot.

Eventually one day, Steven and Jake convinced him to talk to her. he sat at the end of the bed, hair pushed back brow furrowed, his usual serious expression on his  face. She came in after a long day of work and saw him waiting looking down at the ground as she came in. the silence was tense, but familiar. She got on her knees in front of him and he looked up at her. His face softened, eyes first then his brow rests as his lip gently part. He doesn’t know how to put it into words. He doesn’t know how to ask. But as so often the case his face spoke to her.

“Do you still love me?”  His fear and regret silently calls out to her

She takes his hands in hers and runs her thumbs over his knuckles. Her eyes meeting his as she gives him a gentle smile.

“I’ll always love you, no matter what. I’m not going anywhere. I promise.” She says quietly. He rests his forehead on hers, their eyes close, sighs of relief leave their lips.

Jake

Date nights with Jake we’re always interesting, but nothing short of romantic. But it was actually the unplanned short moments where she isn’t expecting to see him that are the best to her. She was just walking home after having to stay late at work, her office wasn’t far from the flat, but it had gotten dark. She had waved goodbye to a coworker when she turns and under the streetlamp stood Jake, Bundled up for the chilly weather, hat pulled down over his forehead, gloved hands in his pockets. She smiled at him as she approached him he looks up at her with his own slight smile on his face. Offering her his arm, which she gratefully takes her fingers inter woven with his and pushed deep in his plush lined pocket.

They walked together in silence the moonlight guiding their path as she leans into him, shoulders touching, her head resting on his shoulder, her messenger bag over his shoulder as they walked. There wasn’t a need for talking or an explanation of his presence, just the sounds of the city around them was enough. As the wind starts to pick up he pulls her in closer, he wanted to protect her from everything, he probably had the hardest time while she was away for all the different business trips she went on for her job, He’s the one that fronts at the least convenient times to have a relationship, especially one with any distance, but on top of that he can’t protect her when she’s half way around the world or in the middle of fucking nowhere, why did they have an office in Wichita Kansas anyway? But right now, he can walk her home, in the dark and keep her safe.

As they approached the flat she half expected him to give her a kiss on the cheek and head out, either to work some driving hours or do something for the stupid pigeon, but he turns to her, his slight smile widens to a smirk and he cocks an eyebrow flirtatiously as her gives her a good once over. This look definitely needed no translation.

“You…me…Bedroom?” His silent confidence in her answer leaves her laughing.

Hands still intertwined as they get in the elevator, past the front door, under the covers, and even as they fall asleep bodies intertwined with each other, A small dark hairless cat curling up beside them.

I’m sure it’s been said but I am loving how they’ve presented Bathena as a couple this season

Bobby especially is so incredible. He’s funny and he’s supportive (investigating Lola & Norman with Athena) and he’s clearly so very comfortable and confident in his relationship.

He calmly but firmly let’s Athena know that he sees what she’s doing (avoiding him for whatever reason) and he doesn’t appreciate it and isn’t gonna let it go, but also apologizes if he’s been pushy about cruise activities and works to find a compromise so they can spend time together. It’s clear that they are a stable and established couple who have been together for a while, know each other well, and don’t think a disagreement is the be-all end-all of their relationship !

Bobby being like ‘you’ve never had a migraine last less than three days’! Like! He knows her!!!

And despite their clear issues going on, they’re slowly starting to discuss it. They’re not mean or angry or raising voices. It’s so respectful and such a ‘whatever is going on, we’ll get through it as a team’ dynamic.

also Bobby is such a simp who loves his wife so much he doesn’t even care what they do on the cruise as long as it’s together

obvs don’t love whatever Athena is avoiding with them but am very much looking forward to learning more and watching them navigate this!!! Together! In love! As partners!

Like! This is thee couple that the rest likely take some cues from! Probably Hen least of all, as she’s been with Karen longer than Bobby and Athena have been together, but I digress! For new viewers especially this is such a solid showing of their relationship. I’m so excited

basic stuff

-each agency is a clan, not each unit. 14-15 clans would be silly and then we would have some clans with 5 cats and some with 2.

-starpro -> lightclan. i couldn’t call them “starclan” for obvious reasons. light is somewhat synonymous with star, so i’m going with that.

-cospro -> nightclan. i don’t think the cats in warriors know the word “cosmic”, but cosmic implies cosmos implies night sky, so we’re going with night

-rhyth lin -> rippleclan. ripple is sort of a synonym to rhythm….? this one was hard

-new di -> fortuneclan. this one is a stretch but neither “new” or “dimension” have synonyms that really fit a clan name. fortune is something that relates to multiple characters in new di though

-starclan still sort of exists, but the cats do not believe in them the way they do in warriors. they are more of a nursery tale than anything, and select cats (ex: tatsumi) believe in them, but it is not written into their code. medicine cats can still interpret signs, but they do not necessarily think of them as coming from starclan.

-medicine cat forbidden romance is not a thing here

-intermingling of clans is ok and common

-there’s like. other cats in their clans besides just the enstars cast i assume

-tsukasa -> scarletstar (scarletblossom) . he is the leader of fortuneclan because he is one of the new di reps for the summits. both scarlet and blossom were chosen bc of his last name (scarlet is a red color… kinda similar to cherry…. and blossom for the cherry blossom).

-leo -> lionheart. ok this one is kind of cheating because lionheart is already an existing warrior, but…come on….

-izumi -> silverspring. sora describes his color as silver, and spring is in his first name

-ritsu -> frostmoon. his first name means cold moon according to the wiki so i just rehashed it

-naru -> goldenroar. since she doesn’t like her first name i didn’t want to use “storm”, and her last name can be read as “thunder” but that’s a little too close to storm? so golden for her hair and roar for her last name

switch

-natsume -> sageeye. a sage is similar to a wizard, and eye is in his first name . also the “dovesong” mentioned is wataru :)

-tsumugi -> bluewing. he is a bluebird. warrior cats probably wouldn’t straight up call a cat “bluebird” so i put wing there instead. deputy cause he’s the vp

-sora -> skyspring . sora means sky. spring is in his last name. i could have used “stream” instead to differentiate him from sena but i think spring is cuter
