hi! i’m a little confused what does upg mean?

"Unverified personal gnosis (UPG), sometimes referred to as subjective personal gnosis, is said to be spiritual belief gained through personal experience or intuition that cannot be attributed to or corroborated by received tradition, professional scholarship, or direct citation in an accepted religious text."

So basically it's a spiritual belief that isn't a traditional official belief. My upg is that Hermes really likes a certain brand of caramel candies. That can't be proven by tradition, professional scholars, or any religious text. So it's called unverified personal gnosis.

Would you ever consider writing an Ascended Astarion fic?

Hello Anon!

While I have written a few one shots with A!Astarion, I think I would have a harder time with a longer fic, since putting myself in his shoes is a bit harder for me than Spawn!Astarion (like emotionally harder, writing it is a ton of fun).

That being said, I have absolutely considered it and still would-- only I think it might be a bit disappointing compared to other A!Astarion fics since I already know it would be a comedy (with some natural angst and hurt, but ultimately very light hearted). For example, I still want to do evil!Tav saves the world when A!Astarion isn't looking (⁠ ͝⁠°⁠ ͜⁠ʖ͡⁠°)

Anyway, tldr; yeah, but I'd need to be ready for it!

Do you have an idea of why Adams always wrote Bigwig’s name…untranslated for lack of a better word among the Efrafrans?

I don't know for sure why because I haven't read anything about Adams' explanations for why he did anything,* but I have always thought it was to mark that he was being a different rabbit then. My wife is upstairs sleeping and my copy is by the bedside, so I can't go grab it, but I'm fairly certain that the NARRATION continues to say Bigwig, but the Efrafans themselves are the ones who call him Thlayli. I'd have to check on this though.

So, to me, it was a way of showing that he was pretending to be a different rabbit, of sorts. I don't have any factual backing for that, but I know, for example, I think of Haruka and Uranus or Lena and Tracer as being not quite different PEOPLE, but different aspects of themselves** so I think maybe it was Adam's way of making that same kind of internal division visible on the page.

*and have no fucking intention of starting! I fucking LOVE this book, and I am perfectly satisfied with my reading of it, and I don't...like, I guess, when authors explain their work. Some people do and that's fine, but I feel like everything you need to tell me should be in the work.

**To the point that five years ago I made a decision to do narrative as "Tracer/Pharah/Etc" and I now deeply deeply regret it as I, when I'm just writing offhandedly, use "Fareeha walked into the kitchen/Lena grabbed a cookie off the table/etc" and then have to go back and change it because I THINK of them as their names, now. Exception being when I am straight-up writing a fight or military action. Tracer and Pharah are ideas, icons, legends, but they aren't PEOPLE, in my mind.

The plots that you and I usually end up writing!! LOL!!! The slice of life plots, or the plots that muses lead the writer on!! Road trip plots, yeah. Those are my favourites.

What would the process look like for getting a new character if your current one passes away or leaves the clan?

People that end up without a character (be it for now or forever) will get the role Observer. They'll be able to talk to everyone and see the general chat area, but can't see what's going on in the roleplay or its associated chats. Members are only allowed to share with them what's been posted publically or permissed by staff.

Observers are essentially a holding basket for new litters to appear. When an Observer is around, they will be able to join either a new litter or a loner event. They don't have to do so immediately and can stay an Observer if they aren't ready to rejoin/want to wait/etc. for a maximum of 1 year. After that year is done they have to either take the next opportunity or leave the server. (It is a roleplay server after all!)

But if your character dies/leaves and you want to leave the server, temporary or permanent, that's also totally acceptable. You'll be able to come back in all the same when you're ready!

Great question! Well canonly she would attack the mirror if she feels confident enough, if not she would.. lets say its like a phobia for now, she isnt used to her being that and she has gone thro more then one genocide route, she knows that smile pretty well thats also a reason she is afraid, she would probably fall on the floor and get away from it basicly :>!!

One of my favourite questions for figuring out a character’s motivations is which qualities they most fear being assigned to them. Are they afraid (consciously or unconsciously) of being seen as stupid? Ungrateful? Weak? Incompetent? Lazy? Cowardly? Intimidating? Like they actually care? etc.

It’s such a fun way to explore into who they are, why they do what they do, what they don’t do out of fear, and how they might be affected by the events of the story. And I love when characters have negative motivations—trying to avoid something (in this case, being seen a particular way) as much as they’re trying to achieve a goal.

You know what would be absolutely hilarious? If Y/n was very androgynous-looking. Like maybe she has short cropped hair, doesn't speak much, wears no make up, mostly male clothing and binds her chest so that she doesn't have to worry about her boobs getting in the way? And she's still getting pretty acclimated to the team, but when they all wake up early on laundry day and everyone is gathering their clothes to put into the washer Johnny's dumb ass zones in on the pink frilly bra that somehow ends up in Simon's hamper.

"Oh, Simon, didn’t know ye liked keepin’ wee mementos!" He taunts holding the undergarment and obnoxiously raising his brows at him in a suggestive manner.

And so Kyle and Price join in on the teasing. Price whistles at Simon's disgruntled look.

"Never pegged you for a magpie, mate. A bra, really?" Kyle ribs.

"I’ll tell you what, Simon, if I were you, I’d keep that under wraps. Can’t be good for your street cred, mate." Price adds on, causing everyone to laugh. Everyone BUT Y/n who silently snatches the bra out of Johnny's hand and adds it to her hamper.

"Aw, come on! We’re just havin’ a bleedin’ laugh." Johnny pouts, as his eyes following her form to the laundry room just a few feet away.

But everyone's jaw (except for Simon's) literally drops as they watch her put all her girly, frilly panties into the washer. And it's just quiet for like a whole five minutes ESPECIALLY because Simon knows he's getting the last laugh. Unfortunately it's a bit at Y/n's expense, but she's also relishing in the fact that they all look like total idiots.
