I cannot believe that I haven't properly introduced her. This is a new oc that I've been cooking, her name is Mariposa!! She is the God of Seasons and Nature that is located in Milidred. (The right is her human form)

In her human years she was once a librarian at the schoolhouse, she ascended a few years after cobigail did.

In canon events, when music started to fade out in Milidred, so did books. Books were also starting to fade out and nobody was interested in reading stories anymore like they used to. And due to Cobigail's disapearance.. no harvest = no nature. No matter how hard Mari tried, Milidred was just a blank state of nothingness. When king inspekta sent her a letter, they blamed her for making the seasons the same and never changing because of her plan of "luring people for the blood-thirsty Cobigail". Which is not true ofc.

A little fun fact... Mariposa actually wrote the Milidred ballad as a poem once, Cobigail loved it so much that she wrote it into a song ❤️

Also uhhhhh,,, I ship her with cobigail.... and thats all I got hehe :))

The story would be a loose take on The Copper Beeches as well as the Red Headed League, since adventures decided to give us two clients with unique hair and I feel like I have to do something with that.

Blucastle (Rucastle) is actually Tom Brick (John Clay), the second greatest criminal after Professor Rattigan in all of mousedom. While Rattigan got rid of his enemies through the use of a cat, no one could ever figure out how Brick got away with his murders because he employed the use of a human being, and those deaths were always just deemed as unfortunate accidents. This human being is a fan of rare colored animals, and Blucastle's home has one-sided glass that the human would use to observe the mice Blucastle employed (and adopted) in exchange for the humans services.

When Blucastle's daughter Helena (Alice) fell in love and ran away with his red-furred employee, Mr Crawford (Fowler), he got replacements in the form of Lilac (Violet) and Willard Jackson (Jabez Wilson) until he got them both back. Unbeknownst to him, Lilac had reached out to Basil of Baker Street almost as soon as the offer was made to her on account of the strange detail of her needing to cut her tail short (which Blucastle requested to match his daughter's shortened tail).

Blucastle succeeds at recapturing Mr Crawford by making him believe that Lilac was Helena, but Mr Jackson was unhappy to be fired and reached out to Basil for help to secure his old job again. With the accounts from Lilac and Jackson, and some more help from Lilac on the inside, Basil and Dawson manage to stop Blucastle's nefarious plans before he could get his daughter back and destroy the witnesses, putting another great criminal behind bars!

I really don't understand some danmei fans' attitude... this isn't a shade but i've seen a lot of people insisting that if you like mxtx's works you HAVE TO go read something else too bc it's better more intricate or whatever. First of all i think mxtx is really popular for a reason. I read her works. I liked them. I watched faraway wanderers and found it really boring. I stopped somewhere in the middle of 2nd 2ha volume but didn't care enough to continue reading... (i still love moran tho) and i think that's okay... it's not like i care about BL as a genre in the first place. The one baihe everyone is hyped about has a terfy author which repulses me a bit. *correction here i actually looked it up and transphobic phrasing was official weibo acc's fault and not pdl's* I just liked the writing and the stories, isn't that okay? I'd much rather go play disco elysium or go read umineko as a new media to pick up because i know they're great than do a deep danmei dive to be a true fan tm. I think everyone should do so too

Plague: Being abandoned by the person most important to them, and any more of their family members dying.

Dachen: Regressing to who he was before, and failing to support his family.

Ngam Chit: Being known, and being hurt.

Joshua: Rejection.

And last but not least- Alejandro has two, actually.

1. That someone close to them gets badly hurt.

They have a rule not to heal people they know personally. If they do, they see their loved one's conscience, and that will mess with how they perceive them.

Unfortunately, its impossible to guarantee anyone will be safe and okay, and its impossible NOT to get close to people. So one has to give. This is something that will be explored in Hellfire, for sure

2. That they get caught in a situation when they have to heal themselves.

Think about it, with these mechanisms and setbacks to their powers, imagine what happens if Alejandro gets badly hurt and they need to heal themselves to survive? Because firstly, They see their OWN conscience, and there are plenty of things Alejandro doesn't want to see about themselves.

And secondly - if they heal a near fatal wound, their empathic power symptoms... may cause a fatal feedback loop.

Idk uf it really matters but it's kind of annoying on bluesky how barley any of my posts get any interaction at all even from my own followers, and moving back to twitter I get a little TOO much interaction. But as soon as I post an OC I loose like 5 followers and get maybe 15 likes on it idk it's really frusturating lol. On bluesky everyone ignores me equally but on Twitter it's like suddenly the 3k people that had been liking my tweets vanish into thin air
