loud. if you had to use one word to describe your job it would be loud. you of course loved your work, but being completely overwhelmed has become a normal thing.

the end of the day was always the hardest. trying to gather all of the kids items, putting shoes on, getting through checkout, and cleaning up afterwards.

one little boy in particular however made your job a bit easier. Jack Hotchner, an adorable three year old, was polite, well behaved, and sweet. his father, aaron hotchner, was serious but seemed nice.

all you new about him was he worked a lot, and rarely was the one to pick jack up. 90% of the time it was his aunt to come pick him up.

but today was different. when your coworker said jacks parent was here for pickup you help his little winter coat on and backpack and walked with him to the front desk for checkout.

there stood arron, dressed in his usual black suit. his jet black hair was shiny and put together like always. his blank almost cold expression shifted to a much happier one when he saw jack running towards him.

the little boy hugged his father's legs in greeting, receiving a hug in return. you smile as you walk up to aaron and pass him the drawing jack made in class today.

"jack wanted to make sure u gave this to you," aaron smiles softly and takes it, looking over the two little stick figures playing in the snow, representing them.

he glances back up at you, nodding once at you, "thank you. youre jacks main teacher, correct?"

his voice sounding so clear is surprising to you. the most you heard from him was a quiet goodmorning or bye. you would see him mutter words to jack, but they were only for jack to here. the fact he talked to you at all was completely out of the norm.

you feel your cheeks heat up, suddenly realizing now that you have to speak directly to him how handsome he really is.

you smile softly and nod, "yes, I am." you realize too late how awkward you sound.

he nods, reaching out his hand to shake yours, "jack talks about you a lot. you seem to be his favorite here."

your heart swells at that, knowing jack was your favorite too. your heart also skips a beat at the feeling of shaking his hand. his skin is rough, yet his touch is gentle.

"thats so sweet. he brings you up a ton too." your hand drops back to your side and you fiddle with your jeans, suddenly feeling very flustered, a butterfly party happening in your tummy.

he smiles, a bit brighter now. he picks up his son, who is growing more and more tired by the second. he glances away before meeting your eyes again. "I uh, I appreciate all you do for my son. I work a lot out of state so, knowing my son has a good place to go is uh, comforting."

your smile widens, and you chuckle softly, "it my pleasure. he's a great kid."

you both continue to hold eye contact, your breathing calming a bit. he has kind eyes. tired ones, yes, but kind. he finally breaks the little bit of silence by clearing his throat, glancing down.

"well uh, we should be heading out. thank you again." before you can speak again he walks out, son in his arms.

even after he has disappeared from your eye site, you continue to stand and tare at where he was. you almost feel giddy, like a teenager who just met their new crush. you snap out of your daze when you realize you still need to help with checkout. you quickly get back to it, but can't help but thinking that everything has changed.

Summary: Famous photographer, Y/N L/N, and Formula 1 driver, Lewis Hamilton, kiss at a New Year’s Eve party without knowing anything about the other. Their paths cross once again when Y/N is hired as Ferrari’s new photographer.

Y/N was in her apartment watching her favorite movie and eating ice cream in a Stitch onesie. She then heard the door open, her friend Ofelia entered the apartment with takeout.

“No, no, uh uh, there’s no way in hell you’re eating ice cream right now, I got us Chinese food.” Ofelia said.

“Great, put it on the counter,” Y/N mumbled.

“Why are you in a stitch onesie? It’s only 8pm.” Ofelia said.

“Because I wanted to. Did you get the chicken wings and pork fried rice plus my chicken broccoli and white rice?” Y/N asked.

“Yes, why do you need 2 orders?” Ofelia asked.

“One for today, the other for tomorrow, obviously.” Y/N said.

“Anyway, we have a party later tonight.” Ofelia said.

“What do you mean ‘we’?” Y/N asked pointing between them.

“You and me, we’re getting super dressed up and going to a rooftop party.” Ofelia said.

“Who’s hosting?” Y/N asked.

“I Don’t know, a friend of a friend of a friend.” Ofelia said,

“We’re going to a rooftop party in New York City in the middle of winter?” Y/N asked.

“They have those heating lamp thingies. Come on, it’ll be fun, take your mind off of Derek.” Ofelia said.

“Don’t mention Derek.” Y/N groaned, opening up her takeout container to start eating.

“You see, I haven’t to mention it because you can’t stop thinking about him.” Ofelia said.

“De que hablas? I haven’t thought about ese cabrón mal parido in a minute.” Y/N said. Ofelia silently counted down from 3. “The audacity ese hijo de su madre had to cheat on me.”

“I mean what did you expect, Y/N, he’s Puerto Rican.” Ofelia said.

“But we’ve been together for 8 years, I just don't undertsand what i did wrong." Y/N said.

“No, no, no, no, you did absolutely nothing wrong, guys like him only cvare about getting their dick wet, thats it. Anyway, eat and then get dressed. Actually shower first, outfit, hair, makeup, that party is gonna be amazing! Apparently the guy who’s hosting lives in a penthouse.” Ofelia said.

"Sounds fun." Y/N said.

"I've also been sending your portfolio to my bosses..." Ofelia started

"Lia, don't. I told you i was going to look for photography work myself." Y/N said.

"But everyone is DYING to work with you, imagine taking photos for Elle, Cosmo, Vanity Fair, they love your work." Ofelia said.

"What if I want to work somewhere else, outside of New York?" Y/N asked.

"I can live with that, just please don't go to Jersey." Ofelia said (sorry if you live in New Jersey, its just a very New York thing to shit on Jersey)

"Deal." Y/N said.

Hours later, Y/N was showered, hair was done, makeup was perfect, and the outfit was giving 90s supermodel, SHE was givng 90's supermodel. Ofelia was sitting on the couch when Y/N came out.

“Aahh, you look AMAZING, okay, lets go, I have the invitation and I’m so happy his building has parking.” Ofelia said.

Girls showed ID and invitation to the doorman and bouncer when entering the building and accessing the rooftop.

“Wow, this party looks lit.” Ofelia said.

“Yeah, it does. I wonder how they got the heat lamps up here.” Y/N said. Ofelia was looking around until she saw her friend.

“Oh my god, hey! I saw my friend from work, I’ll see you later, okay.” Ofelia said walking away

“You can’t just leave me here!” Y/N tried shouting but Ofelia wasn’t within hearing range. “Great.” While Y/N was just observing the party, keeping to herself, Lewis Hamilton was by the DJ booth, hyping up the party.

“Make some noise, NYC!” Lewis said and everyone cheered, but he saw a woman by herself who didn’t cheer at all. He thought she looked quite beautiful, even under the low light. “Hey man, I’ll be right back.”

“Alright, I’m gonna start the countdown in a few.” His DJ friend said. Lewis nodded, dapping up the DJ before getting down from the stand to look for the woman he spotted. It took a while for Lewis to find her since she was moving too, looking for her friend, but she eventually stopped at the table where there were chips and drinks. The DJ started counting down to midnight, Lewis was standing near Y/N but didn’t make a move.

“Happy New Year!” Everyone shouted, Lewis turned Y/N and kissed her, walking away after they pulled away. Y/N stared at him when we walked away, he looked so familiar. Y/N felt someone else grab her shoulders.

“Y/N, you got a New Years kiss, from who?” Ofelia asked.

“I have no idea, but he was a good kisser, I’ll tell you that much.” Y/N said,

6 weeks later, Y/N was on her computer reviewing her emails and she screamed. Ofelia came running out with a baseball bat.

“What happened? Is it the rat again?” Ofelia asked

“What? No, I got an email from Scuderia Ferrari.” Y/N said.

“The Formula 1 team? You don’t even watch the sport, why the hell did you apply?” Ofelia asked.

“Well i have always wanted to travel, apparently F1 drivers travel ALL THE TIME, this is in Maranello, Italy, I always wanted to go…” Y/N said,

“You don’t speak Italian.” Ofelia said,

“I’m learning, chingada madre, will you let me finish?” Y/N asked. Ofelia nodded her head. “Anyway, Scuderia Ferrari are looking for a new photographer, I’ve seen the posts they made on Instagram, my photography style is very similar, I’m sure the person in charge wouldn’t want the Instagram page to lose the ‘essence’ of Ferrari so looks like I’m their new photographer. Ah, I am so excited! I start in a few weeks, they have emailed me my plane ticket for the following week, even temporary housing until I can get a proper place and a company car (unrealistic but it seems nice).”

“Wow, the people at Ferrari are very generous. I’ll help you pack.” Ofelia said.

2 weeks later, Y/N arrived at the Italian airport, was greeted by a Ferrari employee, and was taken to her furnished apartment. Y/N called Ofelia and showed her the view and everything. Y/N hung up, got her camera, and walked outside her apartment for a little while to take pictures of everything until she got a call from her boss.

“Hey Mr. Vasseur, how are you?” Y/N asked.

“I’m doing well, have you settled in?” Fred asked.

“I have, thank you for asking. To what do I owe your call?” Y/N asked.

“My drivers landed in Maranello today, do you think you can come to headquarters tomorrow?” Fred asked.

“Yeah, you bet, see you then.” Y/N said.

The next day, Y/N was entering the Scuderia Ferrari Base in jeans, white button up blouse, sneakers, and a Ferrari cap because of the sun. She was greeted by Fred.

“Y/N, so nice to meet you in person, how was the drive?” Fred asked.

“Very good, thank you so much for the car. What am I supposed to take pictures of?” Y/N asked.

“Well Hamilton and Leclerc are training on the sim because we have the Australian Grand Prix in 2 weeks. Come, I’ll introduce you to them.” Fred said, leading Y/N to the training room where they have the racing simulator.

“Ha, I beat your time!” Lewis said.

“Yeah, it won’t happen again, mate.” Charles said. Fred then cleared his throat, causing the drivers to stand up.

“Gentleman, this is…” Fred started

“No way, you’re Y/N L/N, I bought some of your photos from a New York gallery, you’re very talented.” Charles said, shaking her hand.

“Oh thank you so much, I was wondering who paid so much money for my photos.” Y/N chuckled, she turned to look at Lewis, they stared at each other until Y/N held out her hand for Lewis to take it. “Okay so do whatever it is that you were doing to I can take some photos. So go on the simulator, talk, do whatever.”

“What kind of photographer are you?” Lewis asked.

“Well, i Don’t specialize in anything if that’s what you’re asking. I have taken landscape photos, I’ve been a photographer on a vogue photo shoot, taken runway photos, even photos of animals. So I’m an…everything photographer.” Y/N said. “Again, do whatever is natural, im sure your fans will love to see you guys bonding now that you’re teammates.”

Y/N took photos of them talking, being on the sim, even some of them just walking around the Ferrari base.

“Okay so I think I got some pretty good shots, you can check it out before I show Fred.” Y/N said. She connected her camera to her laptop so the drivers could see the photos better.

“These are really good, Charles was right, you’re very talented.” Lewis said.

“Why thank you. What about you, charles? Are my photos to your liking?” Y/N asked.

“Yes they are, I never doubted it.” Charles said. Charles left Lewis and Y/N alone so he could change out of his Ferrari clothes.

“You recognize me, don’t you?” Lewis asked.

“How could I forget the man who gave me a new years kiss. I thought I’d never see you again, kinda made it up in my head that you were a secret agent or something.” Y/N said, Lewis laughed.

“Sadly no, I’m just a formula 1 driver. I’m surprised you didn’t know who I was at the party since it was my party.” Lewis said.

“You were the host my friend was talking about! The one with the penthouse, no fucking way. Also, Mr. Billion Dollar Man, you didn’t recognize me either, you were the one who kissed me, meaning you spotted me first, prior to our kiss, and charles knew who I was right away.” Y/N said,

“True. But why were you by yourself? You looked sad, did something happen?” Lewis asked.

“Well my boyfriend of 8 years cheated on me, my friend dragged me to a party and then went off to see the friend who invited her, so yeah, that’s what happened.” Y/N said.

“Who could possibly cheat on you? You seem so sweet” Lewis said.

“Thank you, but you Don’t know me.” Y/N said.

“How about we change that. You want to go out for lunch?” Lewis asked.

“I would love to.” Y/N said.

i made a string of really dumb financial decisions and now im in debt that might take me years to pay off, do you have any words of wisdom for me queen. like that feels bad. how do i even save up. imagine flushing a pile of money down the toilet thats what this debt it

I know how that feels, believe me. A lot of people do. I'm feeling the pain of my 9 month school loans, and credit cards I had already paid off back "on" again (one in particular is pretty high...whooooops).

Don't lose your cool, I have a couple of flexible suggestions that you take, use, and modify to your specifics:

Tithe yourself - if your job does direct deposit (which most do!), you can direct deposit your money into multiple accounts. Get it set up so your paycheck goes 90% into your checking account, 10% into your savings account so that you're not even thinking about it. You might feel the squeeze for a little bit but you'll acclimate to that "missing" 10% sooner than you think.

Ask for a raise - if you're working, ask for a raise. If you're new, or maybe not that "great", or they're penny-pinchers, or you're just nervous to ask, don't even worry about it. Ask for 3% - this is low, and most jobs will give it to you just for the convenience of getting you to stop bothering them about it (if they can't afford 3%, run run run). For context, if you make $10 an hour, a 3% raise only gives you $12.00 more each week. It's really not much, but not nothing! If you're NOT worried about asking a raise, go all in! Ask for 10%, maybe even 15%. Flex some negotiation skills. Maybe you'll walkaway with 7%, but every penny counts.

Get yourself on auto payments [at the smallest amounts you can] - if you've got credit cards, log in right now and get yourself on auto payments for the smallest amount. If you've got student loans, do the same thing. If you've got utility bills, get them on auto pay. These things take 3 minutes to set up, and there are phone numbers to call if you can't figure it out. These companies WANT you to do this, they will help you get it done.

Work off the smallest amount you owe first [aggressively] - Let's say you have a $60 parking ticket, a credit card you owe $400 on, and three student loans that are currently at $6,000 & $7,000 & $10,000. Forget the student loans right now, you've got them on autopay for the smallest amount you can get away with. First, pay off that $60 parking ticket with your next pay check before it becomes a $200 ticket and a court appearance. Now you can focus on the paying off the $400 aggressively. Your minimum payments will still go off, but every time you get a paycheck, long on and pay an additional amount to the credit card (something you can manage and will also feel good to your brain - $50 feels good when you're thinking of your debit in hundreds for example). Once you've got that paid off, now you can aggressively pay off your $6,000. Don't worry about the other two. Just focus on the smallest amount you owe. Each paycheck, payoff a chunk of your smallest debt. It'll get exciting after awhile, like yes I get paid I can make that credit card even smaller. Gamify it, whatever.

Stop worrying about how long it will all take - Only worry about the smallest amount of debt you owe and how (reasonably) fast you can get that paid off. That $400 credit card, if you can spare $100 each pay check - that's only 4 paychecks. That's not too long, right? That's the way to think of time and debt: how much can you spare each paycheck to pay off your lowest debt.

Ask for help - do not punish yourself by lying to your parents and friends. Tell your friends you can't do fancy dinners because you are paying off debt and can't afford it. Real friends will bring over a pizza to hang with you. Your parents might be willing to send you a check without you asking for it. Don't feel guilty about monetary gifts, just take it. Go to a bank and talk about their consolidation options. Bring a third party so you aren't dazzled by sales pitches. Consolidation loans aren't objectively good or bad, they can be a life saver if they have the right terms that work for you. Don't think it's over your head! Ask as many questions until you understand all your options.

Buy smart, stop suffering - this really should be like 4 different bullet points, but I'm going to be as concise as possible: you'll never get out of debt if you spend your money without purpose, and you'll never get out under the yoke of anxiety that you fucked up if you just squirrel your money away in fear. A lot of people will give you advice that you need to put yourself on a tight, punishing budget. Maybe, but I think those are doomed to fail for most people. And now you feel twice as bad. Don't do that to yourself. Learning the value of $10 is important. So it learning the value of $100, or $1,000. And the best way to learn is to practice buying and using your money - there's a cheap $1,000 and an expensive $10, and you have to learn how much value you are getting out of these amounts for these purchases. If you punish yourself all week, and then allow yourself a "little treat" on Sunday - that doesn't feel worthwhile to me. Those little treats will grow every day. Soon you're stopping at Starbucks every day for "just $10" and your Sunday treat has become a weekly blow out brunch with friends and then week to week you're scrounging to eat Top Ramen and lamenting your dreams are dying. Instead, save money by spending money on things worthwhile that make you budget for them. Go sign up for those yoga classes you want, go sign up for those guitar lessons you want, go sign up for those art lessons you want, whatever it is. Whatever brings value to your life. Your $70 a week yoga membership can now be valued against your $70 week at Starbucks, and as your pockets pinch one hopes you'll choose the yoga over the Starbucks because one hopes that the yoga is serving you better. Or maybe yoga is ass and you want to spend it on Starbucks, at least now you know. Though I recommend your local coffee shop, as Starbucks is a union busting piece of shit corporation :)

I avoided most of the mismag discourse back during the first season. Idk if people are bored or what and that why im seeing a lot more of it. But it so fucking annoying to see people bring up racism in mismags. Then point at Brendan as the vocal point or that he over shadows the rest of the cast.

As someone who is black in nerd spaces please stop trying to talk about the racism that is not in mismags (the way you think it is). Your trying to stand in front of us to- idk save us? When half the cast is POC. YOU have one white man who spends 90% of his time being the guy who wants his friends to be happy and promp up characters like Jammer, Sam and K.

If your point is that everyone talks about Evan. Damn I'm not surpised its not like it happens in every show where their mostly POC cast and the single ONE white character everyone focus on. Im glad you can finally join the rest of your POC peers in the fucking class room. Because we been talked about this shit for forever. And on my end, I just roll my eyes and keep it pushing. I can't be bothered to care anymore.

Strawman white nerd, you can talk about all the other characters in the serise. This isnt a POC job to have to tell you how great Jammer, Sam or K is. An if you really wanna get real about, everyone is mostly talking about K and Evan. The 2 prominent black characters I have to hunt down fan content for no one talks about. Again this isn't new, its always been like this. But it is not that deep when it comes to Mismags, the narrative of the story is- THEY WERENT SUPPOSED TO BE PICKED!

They are undesireables, they dont fit in but the whole point is that they are going to break that. Make room for themsleves- the literal racism IS the fact the wizard school didnt want black kids and weird queer kids coming to their school. Mmm almost like it making a comment about the source materal that this game comes from. That now we have more eps we can explore proper and make it truly its own thing. I gueds thats to hard to grasp.

i just realized i haven't written an entry on fresh yet. the lack of info on him is exactly why.

basic gist: parasite-virus kind of deal. there's a "main" host which more often than not is what people are referring to when they say "fresh". little known fact unless you've encountered him. he's a hive-mind. and i wouldve appreciated a warning from ink instead of finding that out MYSELF

when he infects someone, they become a "lesser" host which the main host draws magic from.

so as i was writing, i call him a parasite-virus now im no biologist (unlike most sanses i majored in psychology, and i totally got my degree, yeah) so i dont know how accurate of a term that is but it sounds right to me because he's a parasite (that resides in a main host) that spreads a virus (that infects people and allows him to control them and draw power from).

and no one knows how he infects people. i dont know if it's airborne, through touch, magic-related no one knows. the logical conclusion tends to be through close proximity but even then who knows what he does to spread the virus.

it might have something to do with those shades that all of them wear

did i mention this very dangerous thing larps as a dude from the 90's. it would be funny if it weren't for everything else. did i mention he's emitting music from the 90's right now and that's how ive been able to tell when he's near? (i can never listen to wannabe by the spice girls the same ever again)

ink seems to be wasting all his paint. i know what he's trying to do. he still has some control

his paint is more viscous than usual, it's clumping together in gross globs. i think something's in it

it's distracting fresh. i think he's trying to calm him down. failing, of course, ink doesn't listen to anyone (except well, the creators)

the virus targets the soul. ink doesn't have a soul so the next best thing is his paint

now people think when he runs out of paint he becomes a lifeless husk and

but give him paint again he'll be back to normal, that's my job, sometimes. it's not formally my job, ink wouldn't want to depend on someone to that degree but the few times it's happened—im getting off track

there's paint everywhere and im trying my hardest to not touch any of it. there's petals in it, gross is that what fresh uses? petals or flowers?

The other day i was watching how people made fun of the Hazbin trailer and someone uploaded a clip from "Inside Every demon is a Rainbow" to say it was a downgrade and my jaw dropped when i saw that it was true, i always thoght that the "new" H.H had something that made it look worse than the pilot but i couldn't put my finger on it, and now i think i understand the reson.

So, these are the reasons why the new clip looks like a downgrade (in my opinion):

1)The Song.

No matter your opinion on Hazbin, we all agree that "Inside of every demon is a rainbow" is an iconic song. Its not a masterpiece, but it works really great to introduce the show. Maybe its nostalgia talking, but i love this song, i really like how it start slow but then goes into a fast catchy tune as Charlie is talking with enthusiasm about her proyect. The voice actress also is doing an amazing song because she sounds SO energetic and genuine, wich is clearly a sign of how much she loved that job. Its a cringe song, but in a "charming" and pure way, that is very unique and enjoyable when you turn off your brain a little.

Meanwhile, the new one sounds like a generic, forgetable, lifeless Disney song, the only difference is that it has curses and shit. Its like its trying to replicate the other one without understanding what made it so loved.

2) The damn camera movements

The pilot was fast moving, energetic and sometimes there were parts where you couldnt tell what was happening until you paused, but even so, it was easier to digest because the camera was still most of the time, it didnt need crazy movements. There was a million things happening on screen, but at leats the camera had slight movements so your eyes could at least know where your focus should be in (check out the "so all you cartoon porn addictions" part to see what im talking about).

The new one? It shakes and zooms like crazy every time a character takes a step and it makes it hard to the eyes to understand where the fuck they should be looking. Its not even funny, someone WILL get motion sickness.

3) The character designs

Im one of those people who didnt like most of the redesigns, now i understand why: because they dont fix ANY of the problems the original ones had: no less use of red, they still have a shit ton of unecesary details, they still have copypasted body types...

I would say some are WORSE.

Take Charlie, for example; she used to wear a light red shirt with black pants, she would blend a little bit in the background when interacting with it. Now she wears a bright red suit in bright red background and she gets lost EVEN MORE. The only thing they improved was her hairstyle.

4) The animation

Some people say that the animation is good and its just the editing that makes it look bad, but i disagree. Just take a look at the pilot and then the new clip, you will see a clear downgrade.

The old animation was so smooth and expressive, new one is choppy and is afraid of smearframes. Making characters with cartoony propotions look so stiff.

Its like those Sonic games when they used motion capture to animate Sonic and his friends. So they would be literal cartoons animals moving like realistic humans and it sucked.

4) The pilot was visually easier to "diggest" in general

I gotta say, while re-watching the clip of Inside of every demon, the only parts where it was hard to follow were when Charlie interacted with characters with exagerated designs and when she is rapping and there are a lot of fast scenes that ends before you have time to understand what you saw. The rest was just ok.

But in the new clip, it was 90% Charlie jumping around different backgrounds with a drunk camera man and in some part i paused to look at the wall cuz i felt like my eyes were gonna burn if i keep looking.

So thats it, there are some other reasons but these are the most important ones.

"Inside Every Demon is a Rainbow" isn't the best song in the pilot, but it was an excellent song to introduce us to Charlie. It's not an easy one to sing either, but Charlie's singing VA nailed it.

Regarding the ask before this one, I'm super glad you have your AO3 account!! I hope you'll have lots of fun writing in the future ! :D You're definitely always going to be hard on yourself in the future, that's completely normal! As for writing for my fics, I usually have an idea first that I write down then the scenes kinda happen in my head, and I always have something to write them down (phone or notebook) if I'm not on my computer right away. One thing I do is like okay, this will happen now, how might it affect in the future if it's something important? I really have no idea how to explain all that I'm so sorry I hope it still sorta helps

A storyline right away can be kinda complicated to handle, it's what I'm trying to do with "everybody loves somebody sometimes" which is why it's taking so long to be written. But if that's what you wanna do, go ahead! But don't overwork yourself

I made that terrible clay cup replica about 6 months ago do not question its terrible paint job.

It's so annoying at how so much Robert content is just lost media. Cbeebies stargazing episodes? GONE. Continuity links containing Robert/other JH characters? GONE. Some recordings of live shows? GONE!! Like sure, having limited clips of live shows is fair enough, you had to be there to experience it. But to delete SO MANY episodes of stargazing, an actually good educational show for kids?! ITS NOT EVEN OLD!! (2014 is when it started I think. That isn't even that long ago tbf), WHAT REASON DID THEY HAVE TO DELETE ALL THE EPISODES?! THEY HAVE THE MOST ABHORRENT CGI STUFF EVER ON THE IPLAYER, LIKE COCOMELON (which is literally proven to have bad effects on small children), AND A BUNCH OF OTHER USELESS SHOWS. It's not like they don't have room on the iplayer for it. Oh well, can't do anything about it.

Also series 6 annoys me so muchh like there was actually so much potential for it. The first 7 episodes are probably my favourite out of the whole show, and if Steve stayed for the whole series, it would definitely be the best one. The scrips were so great (apart from party animals, that one can rot in hell), but Chris let it down SO MUCH. He did some of the poorest acting EVER. He didn't even try half the time! He used his normal voice, not even attempting to sound remotely like how Robert should. He also kept on moving his arms in the most odd generic robot-like way, like constantly holding them at 90° to his body, which is NOT what Robert does. I mean Steve does do that sometimes, but it just seems much more natural than when Chris does. And obviously Chris and Justin don't have the greatest chemistry between them, so it seems more odd and awkward when the script makes them do friendship sort of stuff, like hug or hold hands or whatever. It is extremely difficult to get through an episode containing Chris, it just makes me cringe so much aaargh!! And sure, Chris had about 2 days to prepare for taking Steve's role, so I understand why at first his acting is a bit rubbish, since he didn't have time to fully examine how Steve plays the role. But the series was done throughout a few months, so he had time to prepare!!!! Which he didn't. Hopefully there'll be a series next year which will make up for it.

Also, wayy off topic, but I got a haircut yesterday so now I have short hair. AND IT IS THE BEST THING EVER. Long hair is the most overstimulating thing ever for me, and it was sooo annoying to constantly put up with it for years on end. I AM FREE NOW WOOHOO!!! Also I look kinda awesome now aswell. Double whammy.

and imgh... tired. im so envious of bears and how they get to sleep all winter and just occasionally wake up to eat. spent half the day on a car trip, and then the other on hyperfixating on åland and maarianhamina. did you know that its like somewhere around 90 percent native swedish speakers. and that the ice age left one side of the islands really smooth and the other has really jagged and clean cut cliffs on the beaches. and ahvenanmaa produces most of finlands omenat. and in regards to school, they offer tech and engineering stuff, and also the same stuff from a marine perspective. and theres recently been formed this company thats leading a green energy test on the island, seeing what the issues with using purely renewable energy are, and how they can be solved. im. I read the wikipedia article. and some more. i also figured out how rain is measured, and can now say what is a lot of it. and it sure does rain and wind on åland huh. the enviroment honestly sounds lovely, it doesnt get that hot in the summer, and neither does it get that cold in the winter. cons are that i dont fucking know swedish, and im not sure how expensive housing is, and also my mind is reminding me that living on an island when climate change is still happening isnt the best thing ever. im. i really am really tiredm. but thats great that you finsihed the painting man

adrian's whole thing in what happened to monday is still endlessly funny to me. like. the man misses 90% of the plot and just shows up at the end. his week goes like:

1. monday. go to your shift at the authoritarianism factory which you hate. (this shift, not the job, which is a problem but we'll deal with that later). see your girlfriend though so it's all okay. all in all not a bad day. 9/10

2. tuesday. see your girlfriend in the authoritarianism factory getting taken away by some suspicious looking guys. this is suspicious. you're a little worried. 7/10 day

3. wednesday. go to your girlfriend's apartment. when she opens the door she is blonde now. ok thats a little weird but it looks good so whatever. maybe she just wanted a change. girlfriend is acting a little strange. so you go back to your apartment. she stays over. 10/10 day

4. thursday. girlfriend asks why you still work at the authoritarianism factory. you're like idk why not (not great adrian). either way you go to work. over the radio you hear about an explosion at your girlfriend's apartment so naturally you leg it. girlfriend wheeled out in a body bag (upsetting) but she is not blonde. go back to your car to process. your girlfriend (short haired) breaks in and threatens you and only at this point to you realise your girlfriend has siblings you just didn't know about (illegal) and there are in fact 7 of her. wild. [SPOILERS HERE] also 4 are dead and 2 have been taken prisoner. one of which is your actual girlfriend. you speedrun becoming an anti-authoritarian in about a minute. bunch of action after this in which you spend the whole time looking startled and asking different people are YOU my girlfriend?? but THEN it turns out your girlfriend is a) evil (partially because of you) b) pregnant (with your children) c) about to die (uh oh). so that happens. and also everything you have ever been told by the authoritarianism factory you work at was a lie. you are now deeply and irrevocably traumatised probably. authoritarian government toppled though so that's good. [END SPOILERS] go home and sleep for like 20 hours straight. 0/10 day what the fuck

5. friday (?). your dead girlfriend's two remaining siblings both change their names and the three of you agree to take care of you and your dead girlfriend's (indeterminate number of) children. 5/10 day hope for the future? maybe? either way all that was traumatic as hell what the fuck

Barbie Movie Review

So it took me awhile to get around to watch this movie, it was never at the top of my list but was bored the other night so sat down and watched it. So there is alot wrong as well as right about this movie. I know so many just tear it down but there are a few things I want to point out that was done right. So I know I have read so many couples have broke up over this movie since its about women empowerment. I feel like if your a close minded person that don't realize women deserve to be happy as well then yeah you probably will have a issue with this movie. First off I thought Margo Robbie did a good job in this role which surprised me because to think of her as harley quinn to barbie is kind of a stretch however she has the look for barbie.

To me it was fun and light hearted and honestly made me smile. It also brought back some of my own childhood in the little things they did.

I love they incorperated Allan, midge, a full figured woman, and one that was a bit weird. This made it ok that maybe everyone has a place to fit in and can be apart of the barbie world too, this I loved. Being a plus size woman myself I was glad they did it.

The outfits reminded me of some of the barbie's I had growing with a twist of now days ones as well. I do like that it was centered around Barbie and that Ken really was just a side character. I say this because even as a child I had like 10 barbie's to one ken.

What amazed me is the doll houses they were so spot on to the types I remember in the 90's. Like the fact this movie didn't just focus on now days barbie and ken but really wide spread I loved.

I thought it was cool how they really played off how they would be in our world and how they would stand out as well. The connection between the woman and her daughter and Barbie I loved because I feel like when I was growing up Barbie was everything to me as well.

It was a really cute movie though and I love the one quote that really does his home and is so true.

"It is literally impossible to be a woman. You are so beautiful, and so smart, and it kills me that you don't think you're good enough. Like, we have to always be extraordinary, but somehow we're always doing it wrong.

"You have to be thin, but not too thin. And you can never say you want to be thin. You have to say you want to be healthy, but also you have to be thin. You have to have money, but you can't ask for money because that's crass. You have to be a boss, but you can't be mean. You have to lead, but you can't squash other people's ideas. You're supposed to love being a mother, but don't talk about your kids all the damn time. You have to be a career woman but also always be looking out for other people. You have to answer for men's bad behavior, which is insane, but if you point that out, you're accused of complaining. You're supposed to stay pretty for men, but not so pretty that you tempt them too much or that you threaten other women because you're supposed to be a part of the sisterhood."

Even though I like Ryan Gosling honestly I would rather go back to seeing him with his natural hair color and in something like The Notebook than this. I forgot how much pink goes into barbie though so by the end of the movie I was so ready to see any color but pink, never been a huge fan of it anyways.

I'm glad in the end she decided to be in the real world she fit so much better. I hate ken had to get hurt the way he did but he also hurt barbie without enough respect for her he hurt her cause he was hurting and sadly thats not the right action when you get hurt. I also hated the clothing choice for ken like did they get it from, and eccentric antique store. Over all out of 5 stars I give it a strong 3 because it has no replayable value to it. It wasn't great was just good, in my opinion however I am glad I finally sat down to watch it. I recommend if your going to watch it, get hbo max and get it with the subscription or just get a months subscription to buy with.

idk is it worth it to read any shounen manga for female side characters?????? (??) HEAVILY DEBATABLE. on one hand the casual observer would say no but on the other hand femslash shippers are the strongest people on god's green earth and will endure great tortures for paltry table scraps.

I think mha is a good manga but it's still a shounen, some of the tropes they squeeze the girls into kind of suck. I can kind of put my annoyance aside because regardless im still a big fan of cool fight scenes and the power of friendship but I think your mileage will vary depending on how much tolerance you have for that kind of story...? There's an awful lot of chapters afterall. I will say this: though toga and ochako aren't the main characters they're not in the background either. the path of their relationship spans multiple arcs across the entire manga and is both plot relevant and relevant to the greater themes/thesis of the story. it's pretty clear that the mangaka and editorial team are dedicated to giving these characters the time and page space to play out. it's not perfect but thats better than a decent amount of big shounen femslash in my opinion? shrugs

I don't want to make this into a hot take like this is an entirely personal opinion and I don't expect any other artists to share my position but: Everything about my art that I consider valuable is inherently impossible for AI to replicate and everything about my art that is replicable and monetizable is not something I'm interested in owning or protecting. (this is also why at the end of the day i dont really care that much about art theft, tracing etc. and i think 90% of the time style theft is just silly)

I believe art should be freely shared and to restrict that is to make art into a product which is morally despicable and moreover uninteresting... to me. lol. I DO RECOGNIZE HOWEVER I'm very lucky to have both more of an online audience than I even want + a fulltime job that takes the pressure off any of my other art to make money. it's totally valid for other artists to have differing opinions on this especially depending on personal circumstances. so for my uni degree, the first three years is guaranteed in a way that there is no competition. anyone can do the first three years. however, fourth year is the hardest part. a lot of people say to get into fourth year, you basically need to score about 80% to even be considered for fourth year and even then, there's no guarantee. so, this bummed me out so bad. i remember going to uni thinking if this is right for me because if it isn't, then wouldn't i have just spent my first three years for nothing? i just didn't know how i would feel like if i reached the end of third year and then realised that i didn't get into fourth year. i also remember looking for other postgraduate courses i could apply to because my confidence was so low and in my head, i just had to prepare for everything.

i had a backup plan for my backup plan that was a backup plan for my first backup plan.

but the thing that changed me were: am i giving up when nothing has started? even when this has been my dream job for the past four years (at the time)? i even moved high schools so that my chances to get into university was higher, and now that i'm here, i'm going to give up now? after all the things i've been through, am i going to stop just because i'm scared of something that i can somewhat control?

i kept going then. then i heard about this degree that guarantees students to get into fourth year as long as i reach their minimum mark. i only knew about this degree mid year and i asked how i could move and they said i have to be invited 😭 the requirements was high. the lecturer said to aim for a 90-95% average in all my units. now, i want to dream big but at the time, i was sitting on an 86% and i knew i wouldn't get 90% (or at least not easily and i was not prepared to sacrifice my mental health for this) 😭 i remember accepting that i was just meant to compete for fourth year and i just kept going. kept studying as i did before.

and then at the end of first year, i got an offer to move. and i thought "...oh." AND I REMEMBER I WAS ABOUT TO REJECT IT 😭 BECAUSE THE 'TRADEOFF' WAS BIG (ie. compulsory units, study abroad (as mentioned in the fic!!) etc.) and like i mentioned before, i had backup plans and i think admist my panicking and anxiety, i fell in love with the jobs that the backup plans could offer me. but then my friends and family reminded the past me that would love this more than anything and with their support, even if maybe i don't want to go to this specific fourth year in this major, the title of my new bachelor degree is really good as it mixes theory, research and job experiences in the real world in an undergraduate degree.

so, i ended up accepting it and...i don't want this to seem like "yay! my life is great now! woohoo!!" because these compulsory units are hard 😭 and i honestly have moments when i just want to contact the office and be like "hey! respectfully and kindly, transfer me back please!!"

another thing about this is that, now that i'm accepted in this, i'm scared of failing even more now. i think it'll hurt me a lot and it'll take a big hit on me if i do considering that i feel like i sacrificed a lot.

but hey...if i do my best, what else can i do at that point? what regrets will i have if i tried my very hardest? i don't know what the future holds for me. i could fail. i could pass. but what i DO know is that i don't know. and because of that, i'll keep doing my best.

Hello! I would like fo request a hazbin hotel and/or helluva boss matchup (if you only do one at a time then go ahead and stick to hazbin hotel). Can be romantic or platonic.

I'm 26, autistic, transmasc, demisexual, and demiromantic(no preference on gender). I'm introverted, and I know how to act extroverted for my job, but I try my best to be in and out as fast as possible whenever I'm out of my home. Truthfully speaking I have a fear of people due to bullying. I'm aware of how oblivious of social conventions I am, and how quickly opinions set in when the wrong thing is said. I'm also very unaware of what I feel 90 percent of the time, but I've been working on it and I'm so much better about it now than I was just a few years ago.

I love fantasy, sci-fi, and horror mainly, especially if it's heartwrenching. I love creativity and art in general, with writing, stop-motion animation, and puppetry holding a special place in my heart. I'm also a huge mythology nerd and will info dump if given the chance. I also really love researching if what occurs in movies is accurate to real life, though this has led to a lot of people thinking I'm a psycho since because of thr Hannibal Lector movies I now know a lot about serial killers and cannibalism.

Something that always surprised people is how my dad was a cage fighter and trained me in kickboxing and muay tai, as a result, I really love martial arts and jokingly spar with my close friends and family(I take extra care to NOT put any force in my hits, not after accidentally kicking my mom across the room while training as a kid)(there were no injuries, we all laugh about it now, though I remember at the time I was crying a lot).

i think the furry fandom is great but i think i sort of became disinterested in like... i am going to word this poorly, but the focus on like, hedonism & extreme individual self expression. not that these things are morally wrong i think i just sort of got to a point where it wasn't servicing what i wanted to do with my life. like i think when i first got into furry, the idea of a community that's like "you can have your fursona be WHATEVER you want and draw ANYTHING no matter how wild or sexual it is" was like, so so exciting. but i think after like a decade+ of just constantly scrolling thru a feed of people's OC's and hunky wolf dudes and commissions and increasingly esoteric kink art i was sort of just like... this is fine and all but its not really helping ME achieve any kind of self actualization. which is like, no shit Ruffy The Lion if you allocate 90% of your brain to cartoon animal drawings & your weird fetishes then of COURSE you are going to feel unfulfilled........ duhh

i mean i am sure it will eventually be possible to find the proper balance in my life of like, fulfilling/forward-looking IRL shit with furry shit. i think furry as a career or full time lifestyle is not rly in the cards for me (in this economy????) so i dont want to be like "everyone my age went and got actual careers while i was busy pretending to be a lion"

i think once i feel like i have achieved my baseline level of Adult Stability (apartment + job that pays enough to live and doesnt make me want to implode + not long distance from my BF) i will feel more chill about being involved with furry, but as of right now it sort of feels like i am distracting myself from important irl work i have to do on myself whenever i engage too heavily with the fandom.

this isnt to say that being a furry or kinky is like, a waste of time or whatever, like if you are happy with your life (like in the real way, not the "i keep refreshing my feed and the sexy pictures give me dopamine" way) then thats awesome. i think i just struggle to engage with it all right now

What book are you currently reading?

I'm re-reading Anne Bronte's Tenant of Wildfell Hall at the moment. A post on tumblr being mean about Gilbert and saying he was just as bad as Mr Rochester or Heathcliff made me go oohhhhhh how very dare so now I'm re-reading one of my favourite books of all time. The three part series from the late 90s is very good and is on Daily Motion if you'd rather watch (Tara Fitzgerald, Toby Stevens and Rupert Graves are so very good!)

What’s your favourite movie you saw in theatres this year?

I saw only one film at the cinema this year, so by default The Batman wins. It was very loud.

What do you usually wear?

Dresses, tights, brown boots, scarves and cardigans. I dress like a librarian which is... fitting.

How tall are you?

5ft 7" or about 172cm.

Virgo! And I share a birthday with the day the Mayflower finally managed to leave Britain and sail to America. Also Papua New Guinea's Independence Day. Those are probably the most... Anglo-centric and relevant ones to this blog's interests...

Do you go by your name or a nick-name?

My real life nickname is Abbie and I certainly do not mind if people wish to call me that on here either! Or Ab. Or Abadab as I am known on Animal Crossing.

Did you grow up to become what you wanted to be when you were a child?

I wanted to be a vet, as many kids did, as I never had any pets growing up save some fish in a pond in the garden. But I also always really loved history, and wanted to work with objects behind the scenes. When my science grades weren't straight A's, I instead focused on History, Geography, Politics and English. I did a series of work placements during my summer and winter holidays during my undergrad to figure out what field I liked best - in a library, in a gallery and in an archive. The archives won, I volunteered for the next two years, did the degree, got a temp job, got a permanent job and here I am! All in all pretty smooth sailing really.

Are you in a relationship? If not, who is your crush if you have one?

No and no! I think I am ace. I think. :I we just don't know

What’s something you’re good at vs. something you’re bad at?

I am a good swimmer but a terrible runner. I am pretty bad at exercise in general...

Dogs or cats?

Cats! I used to work at a cattery. I adore them so much. I wish I could have one of my own but I don't have the spare funds at the moment. My goal is to have one by the time I'm 30.

What’s something you’re currently obsessed with?

600 hours and counting on Breath of the Wild baby

What’s something you were excited about that turned out to be disappointing this year?

I tried and signed up for a dating app in August - it was a bit of a dud. But I tried, and came to conclusions about myself. Mainly, I need therapy. So I'm currently doing that. Ha. Ha....

What’s a hidden talent of yours?

I am a semi-decent cross-stitcher! I am just quite a slow one. But I have a skill for it I think. I always have three projects going at once. Not great for speed...

Are you religious?    

Nah. I am baptised Anglican but I only go to church when my mum asks me to attend with her (she's Scottish Methodist herself but makes do with her village Anglican church - beggars cannae be choosers) usually just for the carol concert. I deal with Diocesan records every day at work so I have a real knowledge of how the Church of England works with very little actual belief in it. I'm not particularly spiritual either. It's interesting to me, but not out of a desire for any of it to be real.

What’s something you wish to have at this moment?

A really big lie-in. A few more days and I can zzzzzzzzzzzz.
