IzzyIzumi Watches Sonic Prime 1~2
(under the 'read more')
{Yes, I relate DigiAdvs}
Sonic, about Tails: "MY GENIUS Friend..."
Me: Yeah that doesn't (still / to this day w/these series and both these charas) sound like Koushiro.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tails, using a 'tail' to hold up drink Tails sips on while typing:
Me: Yeah, that's not exactly like how Koushiro acts in every single tech-involved scene where Koushiro's on Koushiro's own w Oolong
Tumblr media
Sonic: "So if this Genius hacker-slash-Loner thing doesn't work out--"
Me: Wow that doesn't sound relevant to Koushiro backstorys at all!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tails: "I WAS [rEDACTED for Spoiler]!!!!"
Me: DEFINITELY not heavily implied in Novel!Koushiro's backstory among some other Notable Koushiro Backstory[s] details.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Novel translations with credit to Onkei of Digital Scratch)
Tails, typing in multiple passwords and being denied at every turn in a ~Dramatic Moment~:
Me: That DEFINITELY didn't happen to Koushiro in Tri or Adventure at multiple points (looks at Mugendramon Arc)... it's almost like it's not a "plot point" or common "trope"---
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tails, using semi-sarcastic-implied tone, only slightly more "forward" speech or quips/quotes at various points even with Knuckles:
"I'M one of the GOOD GUYS."
Me: Koushiro's J.P.N formal speech things, aside, that's DEFINITELY still not Koushiro-dynamics when Koushiro counters Taichi's or Yamato's back-and-forth with quips, and is definitely only something that ever existed in the U.S. dub version, Among Elsewhe--
Tumblr media
(I Can't Take The Canon!Koushiro-Discoursing Seriously Anymore You Guys)...
{This Is Not A "Bad Thing", But I Find It Interesting how one character is now overall heavily loved and another (ADOPTED CANONICALLY)'s J.P.N canon personlity still has to be actively defended to the fan base to this day...}

Okay I know this is hardly an AU because I see it happening in canon, and a friend is into Phantom Thieves and Detective series lately to the point I keep feeling this big urge to explore my favorite scenario-headcanon idea when I’m writing stuff.
What, you may ask?
Ichouji Ken and co. investigating digimon mysteries and cases in some vein for Cyber Sleuth, Hacker’s Memory and other stuff like Dekaranger :)
But more like, a group of teens focused on solving misunderstandings and some supernatural phenomena which are actually Digimon-related cases.
“Wait Ni, this is just Ghost Game!!”
Well, I admit GG is also in my mind when it comes to that, but we had Ken as detective in the epilogue, and you must wonder if he never went sleuthing between 2002 and 2028 right? Something is making him… decide this was what he wanted to do for his life.
*Ahem* I bugged a friend to make those smol headcanons.
Ken and his friends have a website where they receive cases from people around Tokyo. Besides that, they gather cases from their own schools too.
Tumblr media
Besides Ken looking smart, he’s a walking mess. When he’s not in a case, he’s just enjoying his obsessions and explaining everything about them to whoever asks him about them. Daisuke sometimes feels his technical knowledge of things is too much for his (Dai’s) brain so he completely starts feeling a little overwhelmed by the info.
Everyone has a favorite type of case, yeah. Daisuke likes simple and easy tasks. Takeru and Hikari like supernatural-like cases, Miyako likes most of the stuff she can be helpful in, Iori likes to observe and learn more about people/digi and their reasons for such actions, and Ken… He likes everything, and he cannot turn his back on anyone in trouble (he might have absorbed that behavior from Daisuke)
Daisuke is canonically afraid of ghosts. So he’s the kind to be nope-ing outta there whenever he learns the case involves ghosts or supernatural. Of course they manage to drag him over, especially using Hikari as an excuse (“Hikari is going too~”) or Hikari herself pushing his right buttons (“Oh I’d like someone strong and brave to protect me in case something terrible happens!”)
Besides that, Daisuke thinks his crush on Hikari is a secret to everyone else, except everyone – Hikari included – is aware of it.
Somewhere between 02 and Kizuna, Ken started to like Miyako a little more than a friend, but he does not let it be known. No one knows that. (yes, this is canon compliant here.)
Most of the cases they get are some misunderstanding between human and digimon, or digimon and digimon, quite like CS/HM’s cases.
Since the digimon are known by the public and the number of digimon partnered to people are increasing quickly, this little group activities are important.
If they can’t solve something by themselves, they ask for Koushiro’s help, or the Chosen Children network on the web, or even Gennai (or a Gennai clone).
------------------------------------------------
[Edit June 20/2023]
Got some ideas on table with the friend into Phantom Thief genre again
Their nemesis is Arsenemon, a digimon who steals stuff stolen from the Digital World by the selfish humans/”renegade” Chosen Children. He’s classy and sassy, which makes Daisuke lose his patience with him all the time.  Ken is also determined to stop Arsenemon, but not on a deep level as Daisuke.
Arsenemon can disguise as anyone, and since they don’t know what he looks like, they are clueless. One day someone claimed to have seen Yamato leaving a museum at night and then the kids had to clean Yamato’s name. Turns out Arsenemon’s hair is sorta like Yamato’s…
That said, Yamato hates the idea of some digimon having his haircut or uh… having his face…
Hikari works for her (and Daisuke-Takeru’s) school journal, so this digimon intrigues her as her editor keeps asking about him. She takes photos for Ken-and-the-group’s website.
Miyako helped Ken to build the website and the chatroom to gather cases. The entire group was kinda into it at this point. Students and children from their schools could come ask them for favors and even give them rewards for their assistance and counselor, but they don’t accept doing it for money or gifts. They do it because they want to help humans and digimons to get along now!
Arsenemon does have a point and they accept it, once it is revealed to them his real motives to steal stuff. And yeah, they kinda… side with him later.
By the way, Arsenemon has a human form, but since he can transform into anyone… Well, I’d post his design later (might be a bit of a spoiler for another thing I’m working on but… whatever? )
[edit June 25/2023]
I’ve been thinking about it more and more… Sorry in advance.
The 02 group only started doing this because someone was having free time after school and decided to watch Dekaranger and fell in love with it, and since the series kinda felt very close to their reality… The idea was pitched to the rest of the group, which thought it wouldn’t be a bad idea. After all, they were already doing something like this for a while, right?
When it comes to Arsenemon, the 02 group starts trying to guess who they are… By checking each person outside their circle of friends who’s close to them, especially because of the mysterious Calling Cards they receive. From the suspects they led to two Chosen Children in Daisuke-Hikari-Takeru’s school: Youta and Mizuki.
Youta is suspicious BECAUSE he tends to be all smug and a little aggressive on Daisuke, by making poor Daisuke have a new rival. Youta is also called “Soleil” around the school, and is smart. Partner digimon: Coronamon
Mizuki is suspicious because she’s strangely involved in some with one or two people related to the heists. She’s the pacifist and most calm person in the school – enough to be called “Lune” by the students. She’s also part of the school’s journal staff. Partner digimon: Lunamon.
Noel/Étoile is a kid involved with those two too, so he became another suspect. Besides that, he’s a shy boy who recently started attending the same school as Youta and Mizuki.
The digimon are permitted at the schools, but not at classes. The digimon spends most of the school hours outside the school, in the yard. Some school staff members make sure to feed them and keep watching their behavior, in order for none of them start picking fights against the others or damage the buildings.
Now about the digimon: Soleil’s Coronamon is a more noble and serious digimon with a better sense of justice than his partner, but he’s so loyal to Youta that he won’t argue with the boy. Meanwhile Lune’s Lunamon is a very sweet and gentle one, except she’s very very overprotective of Mizuki to the point this can become a nuisance.
No one knows who Étoile’s partner digimon is, or if he has one. He tends to not talk about that at all. However he seems to get along with the digimon quite well?
Since Arsenemon can be anyone, and the 02 kids have no idea how to stop him, they lean into suspecting of everyone – except themselves Because… Well, you know, they know each other quite well to not be fooled that easily.
Soleil serves as Daisuke’s nemesis, Lune as Hikari’s rival, and no one has a beef with Étoile because he’s a good kid.
Étoile seems a little clueless about certain stuff, or being kinda weird when making food combos.
Arsenemon has many ways to send a calling card to the 02 group. Some are very creative and some are a little intrusive.
For the calling cards, Arsenemon likes to sometimes pick just one favorite victim because of their reactions. Yes, it is Daisuke. (Angry) Daisuke noises are his pleasure.

Digimon Adventure (Manga) - Vol. 1
This is the manga (or manhua) adaptation of the original Digimon Adventure anime. I got my copy from the library and you can borrow it for free on Archive.org!
Manga adaptations of anime are typically cheap money grabs that just copy-paste from the anime, removing some of the soul of the original along the way. As such, I'm not expecting much from this.
Notes:
Ch. 1
-You can almost always tell when a manga isn't drawn by a Japanese artist, it's just a certain vibe (I know this is technically a manhua). That being said, the art is competent enough. Yuen Wong seems to struggle most when it comes to faces. A lot of the faces look really janky and off model for both the digimon and the digi-destined. The only other thing that's kind of off is that the text boxes are very heavily lined and take up a lot more space than I'm used to.
-When Sora is drawn in chibi-mode she has the straps of her hat up like a rabbit. At first the silhouette was so unfamiliar that I had no idea who it was lol.
-So they covered two episodes in one chapter (up until the Shellmon battle). Let's see if the pace stays that way...
Ch. 2
-This definitely has a similar vibe to most manga adapted from anime that I've read. I wonder if it will diverge from the original material at any point, too soon to judge.
-Tai says to Agumon "I'll do anything but a teeth buffing" and I have nooo idea what that means? (Is he saying "don't eat me?") Also in chapter one Izzy said "baby blue, how emasculating!" when talking about the digivice. I don't think Koushiro would ever say that tbh. I feel like spotting these weird dialogue choices is going to be the most entertaining part about reading this.
Ch. 3
-I guess we're now going at a pace of one episode per chapter, which is fine. Somehow the content still seems a little condensed with a lot of the emotional beats cut out. I feel like the setting changes every two seconds which is giving me whiplash.
-Some weird quirks: the digi-destined call their digimon by their rookie names, even when they're in champion form. Also, the artist really really likes drawing smiley faces as stand-ins for the actual characters. That's like a step below chibification lol
-I think manga like this is perfect for if you wanted to watch Digimon Adventure 02, but you didn't want to catch up on a 50+ episode anime. It's a lot faster to read than to watch. (Although probably not as satisfying overall).
Ch. 4
-More cheesy dialogue. Izzy says "don't mess with an elite hacker" to Tai lol. Koushiro is way more likeable in the original Japanese because localizations loved to make nerds insufferable in the 90s.
-It's funny, I've never thought of Tentomon as robot-like, but in this chapter he said his parts were "short circuiting" and I was like "oh yeahhh...I guess he does have metallic features"
-Did we really need that close-up crotch shot of Andromon?
-You would think that the plot point of there being editable code laying around in random areas of the digital world would have come up again, but I can't remember another time it was really used to the kids' advantage.
Ch. 5
-This panel made me laugh:
Tumblr media
(something about this phrasing and the expressionless chibis is so funny).
-And then Izzy never manually triggered a digivolution again...for some reason? (I feel like this was definitely explained in the anime, but I can't remember what they said).
-They didn't censor the poop this time! As usual, you can get away with more in print than you can on the screen B)
-They confirm that you can repel Numemon with sunlight...and then immediately the kids get attacked by more Numemon in broad daylight. Quickest continuity error ever!
-Another chuckle worthy moment:
Tumblr media
Ch. 6
-Okay, but this one had me die laughing. Just a really good dad joke:
Tumblr media
-Going from Adventure 02 back to the early Adventure days the stakes really do feel lower. No existential conundrums or human/humanoid villains to contend with. Just rampaging digis that can be easily cured.
Ch. 7
-Maybe it's just a translation thing, but sometimes the digimon act like there's one of each digimon species. Like Gomamon says "Unimon's a nice guy!" as if there's one Unimon in the world. Pretty confusing for kids. I wish mon series would just use names (they do sometimes, but it's not the status quo).
Yep, that was pretty generic. I wish they had thrown some more personality in there to make this a unique experience. I would have loved to read some final thoughts from the mangaka or to have gotten an omake of some sort. Ohhh welll...

Final chapter trivia + Thanks
• Soleil/Youta's big sister Hino Akari is the Advverse version (and namedropped/mentioned only) of Hinomoto Akari. • Although not shown here, Miss Espimon was with Koushiro and Taichi dragging down Naito and his partner Impmon. • Despite of the profile for Iustimon mentioning he's an Armor level, the version of YPD here is an JP-Ultimate/Dub-Mega level. • The original idea for Soleil and Lune's "Crests" (Fairness & Serenity, respectively) were actually Digimentals. And they're way different from the Crests they originally were assigned in DigiTimeLines (which were Light & Energy). • Lune's Lunamon always was able to evolve to Crescemon, but since Lune was not the type to use brute force, she kept restraining her partner to evolve further. Because Lekismon has a less harmful ability -- the sleeping bubble bombs (Moon Night Bomb) • Like mentioned before, Ryo's backstory and headcanon-like ideas are based on the idea there was one Ryo once, got ejected from the timeline and kept wandering between worlds (just like Hikawa/Nokita) for almost 2-or-3 years and with no memories. He was shattered into many versions and all of them went to different timelines/worlds. The one to be depicted here is the one who went back to the OG Advverse, and had a few of his memories from the past "gathered" and "inserted" back into his head by Mastemon. • Yes, the link at the end of this unexpected surprise scene leads to who you think it is. She was in my original plans for Ryo's headcanon-story since i played Cyber Sleuth/Hacker's Memory. She's not like a big spoiler for those two games and it's mostly a cameo in them, so no worries about it. She's also only mentioned here, so it's another sort of cameo. • And Yeah, Daisuke did not witness what happened once Hikawa left his body. But he would've said exactly what Takeru guessed if he were awake. • Also it ends with room for a sequel because I definitely wanted to write a sequel with Rui involved this time, but the 02TB movie recently is out on both physical and digital (tho the latter i have no idea *where* is available for purchase or watch online) and i'd prefer to wait a bit more... • The blog of this project had already some sort of "sequel foreshadowing" in the recent art of the Space Trio as adults, with profiles and explaining where they were during 02TB movie events.
The closure might sound like a little rushed, but it's because I was running out of ideas. I wanted to do more but I got too focused on 02TB brainrot, and doodling daily Rui-kun art, plus rebuilding my Kamen Rider AU that it felt I should... End it asap. (And because i wanted to write a sequel with Rui-kun involved, he's my favorite movie character at the moment)
Hope you liked this full experiment! Now I need to find a friend who can speak French so i can write down one the omake one of my friends suggested involving Catherine Deneuve calling Noel out for his weird fake French accent! Since he's not even French?! (and because i also don't speak French too 💧)
Thank you, and See ya next time (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)

Sora and Koushiro half siblings angsty au (same dad different mom) hcs ? A friend of mine is making a story about it and i wonder what others can make with this concept.
Now THIS. THIS is interesting. I am intrigued (and totally tell me about it if your friend posts it somewhere).
Sora and Izzy Half-Siblings
Same dad, different moms, huh? That kinda works as a mashup of their canon backgrounds, actually--
So let's say that Izzy's parents still passed away from that--I wanna say car accident--accident and his aunt and uncle raised him (THAT WAS THE CANON BACKSTORY, RIGHT? I FEEL LIKE I'M GETTING THIS WRONG) so he's aware of the birth parents' existence
Now let's say Sora still lives with her mom but her father is completely out of the picture, which honestly fits anyway since it's not like he appeared more than the one time out of sheer coincidence
Perfection (sad, but perfect)
Something tells me Sora's mom doesn't really like talking about it (since Izzy is a year younger or something, it's obvious there was either divorce or a just never-married thing going on there), so Sora goes to Izzy for help to find out more about her dad
It's kind of the human condition, isn't it? We like to know where we came from. (Not everybody has that, but I've seen it a lot in media over the years.)
So Izzy does his master hacker thing, but the name he finds that Sora gives him (she may have done some snooping in her mom's things) looks familiar
He goes to his mom (slash foster mom, but she is MOM and I love her) and asks him, and she just gets this look on her face
Dad walks in, and he has to admit to Izzy that that's Izzy's biological father
Izzy connects the dots immediately and nearly faints
SPRINTS back to Sora and is like "WE. ARE. HALF-SIBLINGS."
"What?"
"YOUR DAD IS MY DAD."
"OH MY GOD."
They just kinda stare at each other. And then they have this really awkward sibling hug that Dipper and Mabel would be proud of
I'm not sure if anything about their relationship really changes outwardly, but they sort of have this silent understanding after that
Matt and T.K. have their thing, Tai and Kari have their thing, and now Sora and Izzy have their thing
The others wish they had this swag---
No but really it's very sweet to watch
------
I'm a little invested in this now.
Also, I looked it up, Izzy's dad was a distant relative of his biological father. I just kinda assumed aunt and uncle since they're usually the first ones in these types of stories to be asked to raise the baby.
So I was... not wrong, but not right, either XD

There's a twitter thread I read once that was about the way Digimon lore works before Kakudo (the director for Digimon Adventure) was brought on to make Adventure and adding more of his own lore stuff to it.
Why am I bringing this up? Well, because a few things makes much more sense with the Adventure reboot when you are actually aware of what was present prior to stuff Kakudo added. Also, I made a post at one point talking about how Digimon Survive expands on what was established in Adventure in a new continuity while the Adventure reboot (which we will call Psi for simplicity sakes) was placing the characters in a more modern setting. Obviously some of the reblogs are clearly liking what Survive is doing more than what Psi is doing.
So a bit of a recap for those unaware of the kind of lore that was present prior to and after Adventure.
V-pet lore: Digimon are evolved computer programs that became sentient that live in the computer network. The Dark Ocean is also established via profiles of the dark demonic Digimon on the old Digimon website as well as the Net Ocean. File Island was a man-made island in the Digital World made to research Digimon. DigiLab is one of the organizations made for that purpose and in the Sega Saturn vpet game, Hackers were established as people who use Digimon for evil purposes and someone in the DigiLab research team ended up sending the player a Digimon to raise to deal with them (for those who played Cyber Sleuth this all seems familiar does it?)
Adventure lore: Digimon are creatures that existed alongside humans even before digital technology was a thing and in the past had been subjugated or manifested as other mythical creatures like Yokai. Once digital technology become a thing, these creatures uses the tech to properly manifest themselves. Human thought and emotions also have an influence over Digimon. The Digital World is now made clear to be a separate thing from the computer network that some people assume where that world is but said network can function as a medium of sorts. Koushiro/Izzy initially assumed the Digital World function the way it does with the Vpet lore but finds it doesn't, making it clear Digimon Adventure lore functions very differently from what was established prior.
And that's just how much Adventure established its own lore and does its own thing, adding a more mythical/fantastical element to the lore.
Some of the following Digimon series have gone back to the more technological roots (though I don't know if any of the seasons afterwards goes hard into the more mythical based stuff like the Adventure seasons and movies did), with Appmon's lore being just full on pre-adventure Vpet lore updated for the modern setting. Idk how well they did financially though.
As for the video games side of things, the Cyber Sleuth continuity is definitely on the Adventure side of things but thanks to the updated setting, manages to incorporate some of the Vpet lore proper while still making it clear the Digimon are of the Adventure-origin (the sidequests that was covered throughout the span of both Cyber Sleuth and Hacker's Memory made it SUPER clear). Even then, most of the game prior to the second half are focused onto the Vpet lore, heavily based on concepts introduced from the Sega Saturn game, Digital Monster Version. S, like Hackers and the DigiLab (which makes SEGA's logo being kept in the game's version of Akihabara all the more appropriate).
Survive meanwhile, as explained earlier, goes full on to the mythical Adventure side of things and exploring that further (and now includes more deaths if you screw up so have fun feeling guilty of accidentally killing important characters!). Now the question is... where does Adventure Psi fall into this whole thing?
Well, Bandai have been releasing the Digital Monster Ver 20th vpets, as well as a few other Japanese-exclusive (but mostly in English text) vpets like the Digimon Pendulum Version 20th vpets and a new line of vpets called the Digital Monster X which are not just rereleases of old versions compiled into singular devices with their own exclusive eggs but actually having their own different lineup of mons, with X3 being the latest versions adding not just more monsters but also more "areas" for the "Quest mode". The English versions of the DM20ths are getting a second wave of vpets with a few new mons to raise. We're also getting a new card game and we have Last Evolution Kizuna, which serves as a farewell to the Adventure cast.
When you look at it, Psi is pretty much part of a checklist of a proper "revival" or "revitalization" of the brand. While the brand itself isn't exactly "dead" to begin with, there hasn't been exactly much else they can do prior to this. While they did continue the Adventure storyline with Tri, it's very much restricted to the 02 epilogue, and probably to a well established history (haven't watch Last Evo yet and probably never will thanks to recent events).
But then one thinks... what if? What if...? What if we make Adventure... and actually be able incorporate its more technological side of the lore as part of the brand revival that was already part of a checklist of the whole thing, especially in a modern age with the more advanced network and digital technology? (And based on both the official information and the thread I brought up earlier, it seems to be more technological based)
If you look at it from that perspective, it's still understandable that some would consider it nostalgia pandering cash-in, but at least it feels like there is some other purpose and premise behind the reboot beyond money. Last Evolution being the last entry of the original Adventure continuity has a bit more meaning when you think about it like that.

Valentine's Day Surprise! Part 2 (Digimon FF- Miyako/Yolei x Ken)
(Note: Asterisks = Thoughts.) The only things I've changed this chapter is a few words, some grammar and made Miyako's email situation make more sense. Part 2 of 'Valentine's Day Surprise'. Link to original: https://m.fanfiction.net/s/12176931/2/ Also, RIP, formatting. ~~~ As soon as Miyako arrived home, she headed straight to her bedroom, took her school bag off and plonked onto her bed with a sigh. She did greet her family of course. Poromon looked a little worried and asked, "Miyako-san, are you okay? Did you have a bad day at school?", while flapping his little wings in the air, hovering near Miyako's head. "Oh Poromon...", Miyako said with affection, as she turned around and grabbed the pink feathery ball Digimon, into her arms. "I'm fine... Okay, maybe I'm feeling a little bit down, but I'll get over it eventually. Besides it makes things easier when I have such a great friend like you, Poromon. Thank you for always being here for me, you don't know how much I appreciate it", she said with smile. Poromon blushed, "Oh, th-thank you Miyako-san! You know I would do anything for you. Always!", the little bird monster said cheerfully, but he was also shy about it. "Thank you Poromon!" Miyako cried out, and squeezed the Digimon into a tight affectionate hug. "Mi-Miyako-san! ..Breathe!", Poromon was flailing around and gasping for air. "Oh! Sorry..", Miyako replied nervously. *Beep! Beep!* *Beep! Beep!* Miyako swiftly turned her head, "Huh!?" *Beep! Beep!* "My D-Terminal! Someone must've sent me a message!", Miyako was surprised, then curiously said, raising her eyebrow, "I wonder who though?" Motomiya, Daisuke «Hi Miyako, I've got a big soccer game on today, and I was wondering if you and the others wanted to come along to support me! I mean, you don't have to, I understand if you have homework or somethin', but y'know, I'd really like it if you did come along! But I understand though, I've sent the others this message so I'll be happy even if one of you guys just come along. Alright see ya then! :P ~ Don't forget how awesome I am!» Daisuke-kun. Miyako let out a chuckled sigh, "Daisuke-kun..." she then replied to her D-Terminal: «Hi Daisuke! I'm sorry, I'd really love to come, but unfortunately I'm just really busy right now. (Which was sort of the truth, she was going to do a little bit of homework and get Ken his gift, but she also just didn't want to go anywhere at the moment) But you know I support you, %100 of the way, I'm sure you'll have a fantastic game. One of the others would probably be there, so I hope that'll make you happy. Anyway, once again I'm really sorry, but I'm just busy. Enjoy the rest of your day.» From Miyako-san And with that she let out a heavy sigh and closed her D-Terminal. Pondering on her thoughts, she thought now it would be a good time to start some of her homework. "Who was that Miyako-san?", Poromon curiously asked. "Oh, it was just Daisuke, asking if I wanted to come to his soccer game.", she replied dryly. "Oh, Daisuke-kun! Are you going to go?", Poromon asked with a shine in his eyes, hoping her answer would be yes. He wanted to catch up with the other Digimon and Chosen Children. Seeing the cheerful look in Poromon's eyes, Miyako replied, "Sorry Poromon, not tonight. I have things to do". "Oh...", Poromon looked down. "Its okay Poromon, I promise we'll do something during the week together okay?", she tried to cheer him up. "Promise?". "Promise". As Miyako was doing her homework, Poromon had fallen off to sleep in his tiny bed, looking as peaceful as ever. She decided to check her emails. She know she shouldn't procrastinate, but she just couldn't help herself, besides her brain felt like it was about to explode with all the information she was putting out and taking in. Scanning through her emails, she found a rather unusual one. She hesitated to click on it, thinking it just could be one of those stupid chain emails, or some scam email that promoted some ridiculous product or holiday that looked too good to be true, basically spam; and she didn't want to click on it because she didn't want a virus. However the nature of this email wasn't like any of the aforementioned emails. There was no title or subject, well there was something written in the subject box but it just read "?", and there was no information about the sender. *Should I really open this?* To Miyako in this moment, it was a matter of life or death. What if it was sent from some crazy hacker trying to steal her computer information, or anything similar? *Well like they said, curiosity killed the cat* And she opened it anyway. - Much to her relief, it wasn't some hacker trying to hack her computer, but the contents of the email left her somewhat bewildered. Inoue Miyako, «Please go to the computer lab at Odaiba Elementary, today, 600 PM sharp. Something special is there for you.» "Eh?". Miyako felt really confused, and had a sinking feeling in her stomach at the same time. Did she have a stalker now? Was there something wrong in the Digital World again? Was an evil Digimon trying to get to her? Anyway, she thought if she didn't show up something bad might happen, so she mustered up all the courage she had and headed to Odaiba Elementary. But just before she did, *Oh! Poromon! Should I take him? He's so sound asleep though and I really don't want to bother him*. After thinking hard about it for a bit she decided to leave her feathery friend at peace. Which she thought, probably wasn't the best decision for a female in this day and age, but what the heck, she was a fighter. Time was ticking away, she really didn't have much time to head down to the school. After arguing with her parents for about 10 minutes about why she was going out at this time on a school night, or for a girl her age at all without a sensible reason, she was only left with 20 minutes to get there. So she hurried herself along. *Beep! Beep!* *Beep! Beep!* She received a message on her phone. "Oh, who on earth is messaging me now!?". Usually this wouldn't be a problem, but since she was stressed from her situation she really didn't need someone bothering her at the moment, she quickly checked it anyway. «Yo sis, where are you!? You should've been home from school ages ago? Are you okay? Did you get hit by a car? Did someone kidnap you? Did you do something really bad at school that you got detention for all this time? Please tell me, I need to know! I'm really worried about you.» Mantarou. *Oh Mantarou...* It made her feel somewhat a bit better that she had such a loving and caring family always looking out for her, she quickly replied to the message and told her brother to ask her parents about it. She really didn't have time to have a long conversation. Not soon after she got another text message, but she just ignored it. It was probably just Mantarou confirming he talked to their parents. She arrived at the computer lab at ten past six, not exactly 6 o'clock, but it was good enough right? Miyako hoped. *Even though whoever said it was 6:00 PM sharp... I hope they're not too anal about these things*. She was starting to wonder why the mystery person, or thing, or possibly a Digimon, wanted her to come here. As far as she could tell, there was absolutely no one here, not even the school staff, all of the computers were turned off, not to mention none of the inside lights in the school building were on. (So Miyako had to use the light from her phone to navigate.) She didn't have any messages from any of the other Chosen Children, namely Koushiro. So what on earth was all this about? *Is this some kind of prank? Because if it is its not a really funny one, and I want to go home. Whoever is doing this must have it in for me...* Miyako wondered, *Maybe its someone at school that really hates me. That's just great, that's what exactly what I need, more drama in my life!*. Just as she was thinking about that, she thought about how late it was, *And its so late, for a school night. School kids would be at home studying now, or eating dinner! Oh! I also promised Ken I would be going over his house tonight! Oh geez! I almost forgot about that, what kind of a girlfriend am I!?* She started to panic. *Poor Ken, he's probably sitting at home right now, wondering why I haven't come over yet, he probably hates me now, maybe he thinks I don't love him anymore and this is my way of saying that I want to break up with him. Oh I'm so sorry Ken!* She was about to send him a text message on her phone but then thought she was just overreacting about how Ken would feel. Suddenly one of the computer screens lit up. "Huh? Was this computer always on? I didn't notice it before...", she walked over to it. At the computer, she just realised this was the exact same computer that the Chosen Children had used for going to and from the Digital World a few years ago. She frowned, and her thoughts started running a million miles an hour, *Is the Digital World in trouble again? Do they need our help again? But why just me? Does it have something to do with my traits or my Digimon?* Her thoughts continued like this until she saw something on the screen. Much to her horror, what she saw was something she never expected in a million years to see again, or so she hoped.
[Thanks for reading! Part 3 coming soon! I know how the story ends but I don't know how to get to it... if you have any ideas please let me know, and I'll credit you for it of course!]

Hello. Did you program me?
Miyako stared at the pop up that appeared on her computer screen, her brows contorted in a frown. At first she thought it was a virus - one that magically managed to escaped the powerful antivirus that was programmed and installed on her computer by Koushiro himself.
Then she thought - hoped, even - it was just a prank from one of the many hacker friends she made at internet forums. Except that she doubted any of them were skilled enough to get through Koushiro’s firewall either.
Still, Miyako didn’t want to believe in the bad feeling in her gut.

- I-It can’t be… but Omegamon… Imperialdramon…
The Kuramon icon next to the message left no room for doubt. It would be a long night.

Digmon Adventure + 02 + tri. + Kizuna; + "Adventure:" 2020 reboot Spin-off Series vs Sonic Prime {Eps. 01~08} + (Two Personal) Favorite Characters featuring Characters: ~ KOUSHIRO[u] Izumi (+Taichi Yagami) {as Ship [by Kizuna or post-Kizuna]} vs. ~ (+Tails) "NINE" the Fox (+Sonic) {as Friendship} + (Common) Media Trope{s} / Storytelling Parallels -The Computer Genius; (+special "Interests") -The Once-Loner / (Initially) Intentionally Avoids People; (Koushiro specifically also pre-series & in Novels backstory); -(Eventual growing Interest or relevancy with) "Fashion"; -"Samefooding"; (with preferred Drinks) + on the Job (in Koushiro's case, it's the Oolong tea specifically) -Expert Hackers + (Genuinely Good/recognized) Skills; -Frustration when Inadequate (at said Interests); - Quipping back at Lead Protagonist or Team in Tense Moments {whether Sarcastically or J.P.N "Formally" Style (Koushiro)}; [and displaying 'sudden' bouts of "Forwardness" with Team] ...
-The (Canonically Appointed) Advisor-slash-Strategist (who often comes up with genuinely creative plans) {even IF they take time to Work} - (Being asked Directly) to Support the Protagonist/Friend + HESITATING due to own fear of Inadequacy (at Such) - Racing Against The Clocks / Countdowns; (after Agreeing to Help / On a personal Mission to Achieve) - "Big Damn Hero" Moments!! (+Saving the Hero{s}/Friends)
My Commentary:
"Tails" (Nine specifically also, here) is a character I've loved basically since I was old enough to pick up a Sega controller as a 3-year-old child; and Koushiro came slightly later on when I was still young but closer to / basically exactly Koushiro's J.P.N canon age as I watched.
I've always noted these similarities in their storylines & even, one could say, "personalities" ever since I kept up with Digimon Adventure's series specifically (and Koushiro's also kept evolving and growing in various ways across multiple medias, including a 2020 "reboot" spin-off series that nonetheless still uses the original "Koushiro Izumi" as a base); however, "Nine"'s story dropping today (it's 2k22?!) really feels like it's driving the point home for me when it comes to these storytelling parallels.
(Oh, and Koushiro is also canonically Adopted, yes?)
{This 'comparison's gif-set was made on a whim mainly for my Koushiro specific head-canons series; but I won't mind if cross-fan-base fans enjoy this too!} [There's a very specific "head"-canon I have in mind for both, too... you might be able to note them in the tags of this post!]

a list of Digimon’s Koushiro Izumi AUs aka: (MOSTLY) SUFFERING
-AU where Koushiro never met the Chosen (and/or rejected Taichi's invitation to the summer camp) (aka 'where Koushiro Izumi remains closed off and disconnected and the other Chosen may ultimately fail without him') -AU where Koushiro never met the Chosen but somehow still got to the Digital World and became the "new Chosen" ala (7th child??) Hikari (aka 'that AU where Koushiro entered the Digiworld alone, met Tentomon, and wandered with him alone and disconnected /until/ he meets the Chosen') -AU where Koushiro's biological parents never died, so he was also never adopted by Mrs. and Mr. Izumi (aka 'that AU where Koushiro is technically happy? BUT either never withdrew into himself, so he didn't find his love for computers; OR he did find computers because of his biological father's interest, but didn't become a genius like he did otherwise and was just a normal kid with an interest in computers, possibly leading to further conflict that's harder for him to solve. ALSO the AU where Mrs. and Mr. Izumi never had a son aka heartbreak) -AU where Koushiro was adopted, but never found his love for computers and was so withdrawn and closed off he has even more difficulty helping the Chosens, who struggle even more in saving the Digiworld (aka 'that AU where the other Chosen actually have to figure things out on their own, along with trying to get Koushiro to open up to them even though it's insanely difficult, also they probably nearly die if not die/return a ton more times') -AU where Koushiro's biological parents died in relation with Parrotmon's attack aka the Odaiba incident (aka 'that AU where Koushiro becomes a chosen, but finds out his parents died as a result of it. Also, that is why he had a flashback during the remembrance of it, and why his [new] parents moved, taking Koushiro with them') -AU where Koushiro fully loses his curiosity in "Hell" and doesn't get it back (aka 'that AU where not only Tentomon reverts, but Koushiro becomes full unresponsive zombie') -AU where Koushiro (possibly along with the other kids?)’s Digimon gets to evolve to the highest form (aka AtlurKabuterimon) not in Tri but in Adventure (aka ‘that AU where TINY KID ON EVEN MORE HUMONGOUS ARMORED GIANT BUG WRECKING THINGS aLSO aka where possibly the final battles and/or 02′s and Tri’s future outcomes go differently as a result?? also, possibly the Mugendramon episode [WE DON’T TALK ABOUT “THE MUGENDRAMON EPISODE”] goes differently as well....’) -AU where Koushiro (possibly along with the other kids) interacts with the Dark Ocean/Dark Area and becomes corrupted, ALSO: “Negative” Crests? (aka 'that AU where when confronted [by Taichi?], Koushiro is the evil genius who literally hacks into the Digiworld's code to try and delete them JUST BECAUSE HE CAN') -AU where Koushiro's future child is also adopted (aka 'that AU where Koushiro's adopted daughter still looks scarily like Koushiro') -AU where Koushiro's future child is also adopted, and Taichi is inspired by him to adopt as well (aka 'that AU where Taichi finally finds out Koushiro's adopted, and Taichi's adopted son somehow turns out scarily looking like him as well') -AU where Koushiro was married and had a child, but his wife passed away in a car accident just like his parents (aka 'that AU where Koushiro is heartbroken, but as he recovers, he and still single Taichi fall in love. [This is also why Taichi's son seems around the same age as or is possibly younger than Koushiro's daughter.]') -AU where Koushiro's future child is adopted, and he is a single parent; meanwhile, Taichi was married, but his wife divorced and/or passed away (aka 'that AU where Taichi is heartbroken, but as he recovers, he and Koushiro fall in love') -AU where adult!Koushiro and Taichi are both single; meanwhile, ambassador!Taichi and researcher!Koushiro become entangled in yet another government related conspiracy where the entire government (+possibly worldwide governments) discovers the Digital World (once everyone begins getting their Digimon?) and are trying to destroy it/invade it/kill the kids?!/etc. (aka ‘that AU where Koushiro and Taichi are not married to anyone, but through yet another crazy episode of saving the Digiworld, they get together’) -AU where adult!Koushiro and Taichi are both single; meanwhile, Koushiro did not become a Chosen, but the others (SOMEHOW??) managed without him. Ambassador!Taichi is introduced to researcher!Koushiro, an expert computer hacker who not only just got his Digimon (Tentomon) but has also been researching the Digital World and the Chosens’ involvement in it. (aka ‘that AU where Taichi and Koushiro get together through very different means, they once again save the Digiworld, and Koushiro is STILL AMAZING’)
