Something something the volumes it speaks that the Darkling felt the need to put Zoya and Alina in competition with each other and put them against each other from the moment they met so that they wouldn’t be able to immediately acknowledge what was being done to them and unite against him something something

During the 30 years in the saferoom, Springtrap basically kept drifting in and out—falling into a ‘slumber’, basically. It was never for the same amount of time, though.
Sometimes, he’s just out for a few days—other times a few weeks or even a few months. He doesn’t know the difference, though. When he awakens, Springtrap always assumes it’s been far less.
However, there’s been multiple times where he’s just... been out for a couple of years. The most major one involving when he was finally found+brought to the attraction.
Springtrap would drift off in his 24th year at some point, and would only wake up when, in the 30th year, he was in the process of being taken by whoever all found him.

honestly i never really agreed with the popular shen qingqiu had a good shizun headcanon because if shen qingqiu actually had someone who he knew cared about him, he definitely wouldn’t have turned out the way he did in canon.

The thing that drives me crazy about Henry Crawford is that he almost made it. He almost changed. A bit more restraint, a little more core morality, and his life could’ve been so different. Everything could’ve been so different.

maybe a hot take but please don’t have or stop having children if you have an active eating disorder/body dysmorphia (including binge eating, not just restrictive disorders). seriously
thinking you’ll be the exception (because you’re So self-aware, unlike those Other disordered women) and won’t give your dysmorphia/eating disorder to your child is pride before a very slow and terrible fall
it never ever works. you’re never ever immune. i mean, such a huge reason of why there are so many of us now is bc our moms thought the same thing lmfao. didn’t matter how well-intentioned they were. no matter how much they tried to separate Their Problems from Ours. here we fucking are
i know it’s not women’s fault to begin with, but the reality is that those of us affected do incubate, nurture, and pass on the virus in the Current Way of Things
the buck needs to stop here. this isn’t a game. think of all the things your mother probably thought she was expertly hiding from you that you still picked up on and were profoundly affected by in a terrible and formative way. it will happen to you, too. don’t think it won’t.
if you know that you’re not solidly and confidently recovered, you have a responsibility to stop that buck and not actively attempt to create a child who will observe, mimic, internalize, adopt, and inherit your lifelong life-ruining behavior. the selfishness is breathtaking honestly

tim rejecting kon as robin because he believes kon already rejected tim and so would be disappointed once he finds out....this is the worst ending yet...i love it....
(this scenario) listen, tim is so smart and strategic and logical and also (especially post-breakup/misunderstanding) would plan for every single outcome except the one where he is actually wanted

It finally occurred to me that adult Sam’s obsession with healthy eating is his reaction to years of eating whatever Dean could steal and whatever he could warm up on a hot plate. Years of cereal. Years of canned beans. Years of greasy diner food. All because John was gone and child Dean did the best he could to make sure his little brother was fed. And Sam swears he’s not going to eat like that again because it reminds him of never having a mom or a real home other than the Impala. Of not having a dad stick around and raise him and his brother.
I wonder if Dean giving him a hard time about his smoothies and rabbit food comes from the guilt of not being able to give it to Sammy when he was little. I wonder if it’s why he so proudly sticks to his junk food and diner offerings, like it’s a salve to his ego. Sort of a, “Hey, it’s still good enough.”

By the way I’ve had this “mha definitely doesn’t have that much planning in long-term and horikoshi just makes it up as he goes, and that creates contradictory story beats like… all the issues with the ‘saving’ villains plot” idea of a post in my head for YEARS PLURAL and um. Does. Does now seem like a good time to write it?

Ok but with Calvin and how you say he's protective of kids since he hates them getting hurt, i could absolutely see this being one of the few aus that Jason actually survives because i feel like Calvin might follow him after Jason's fallout with Bruce and heading to Ethiopia. So imagine Calvin's actually tailing Jason when the Joker gets his hands on him. And Calvin just steps in.
Yup he totally would! The moment he realizes Jason ran off, you bet he’s dropping everything and high tailing it after the (his) kid.
And ooooooh boy, Calvin hates killing. But you can be sure Joker isn’t making it out of that warehouse alive. Even if only because Cal leaves him there to be blown up by his own bomb :)))
(Jason refuses to leave Calvin’s side for weeks after this. Calvin is more than okay with that. If anybody tries to make him take his eyes off the kid that almost DIED, he might do something he’ll regret.)

Truly from the depths of my struggling heart. Viva La Vida by Coldplay belongs to one Toshinori Yagi aka the one and only All Might.
Coldplay should just sign over the rights of the song at this point promptly too.
#the song just works on so many levels#cause yeah there’s the grander theme off glory days gone past#but there’s another layer of was; I really effective or good if the minute I left everything that I had built crumbled around me#because Toshinori was the symbol of peace but any peace that can’t survive without one man isn’t true peace at all#it’s a stalemate#hero society#should never have been so easy to collapse without all might#and honestly even though it was never really fully explored that was always a layer of the story I enjoyed#the ways in which a complete dominance in a field especially one as important as heroing can hurt just as much as it can help.#because if yagi had actually let people stand beside him if he hadn’t helped to create a space where other heroes could grow complacent#because all night was there. hero society would never have collapsed so easily without him.#it’s touched on but not a lot not dope if icalry about all nights dominance#it’s why I feel like if you watched the show and your geniune conclusion was that Deku should have become the new symbol of peace#then I just think we didn’t watch the same show#And don't get me wrong I'm not saying that yagi was wrong for saving people or using his powers to the max but it was touched on repeatedly#this kind of deep fear/belief that he had. That only he could save these people and if something happened to them it was on him.#Like every case could only be solved by him and it wasnt a pride thing if anything it was a trauma response same with Izuku#the tags for this got so long i swear i don't mean to do this😭#the symbolism#symbol of peace#all might#yagi toshinori#mha toshinori#mha#bnha#boku no hero acedamia#my hero acedamia#mha analysis#music#coldplay

it’s interesting how in the alternate sara minisode ending, her thought process isn’t really “if I loved joe more, I could’ve saved him”, the massacre ending she imagined with him is more focused on her guilt for killing everyone else rather than her guilt for not saving him. it’s “if I loved joe more, we would both end up with blood on our hands, that’s why I shouldn’t get too close to people.”
there’s no english translation of joe’s light novel sadly, but I remember reading a summary of it a while back, and joe actually has similar feelings about how escaping with sara would’ve been a bad choice. as he dies, he has a dream about what would happen: ryoko and all his friends would call him a murderer, he would become a cop so he could save people and make up for the people he killed, but the guilt would stay with him for the rest of his life. he hears sara crying, and his last thoughts are that he would do anything to make her stop.
both of them ultimately decide that the guilt of killing everyone else would not have been worth escaping together. they don’t want to be murderers, and they especially don’t want to make each other murderers.

In-universe, Springtrap does not speak during FNaF 3 because he can’t. After spending so long in the saferoom, he changed, and forgot a lot of things—speaking included.
After all that time, it was simply something he couldn’t do any longer—even if he occasionally tries. All you—or, specifically Michael on his shifts, would end up hearing, would be random noises from the rabbit.
And when he sees Michael, it’s been forever... and it’s also post-scoop, so when seeing the guard, Springtrap isn’t thinking: “Oh, that’s my son.” It’s just... someone in the attraction.
His voice seems familiar, however, but even then, it doesn’t initially click to him who this person could be—that it happens to be a family member.
By the time Pizza Sim rolls around, he’s speaking at that point—and it’s because post FNaF 3, as Springtrap was wandering, he taught himself how to do it again.

can we talk about uther? the man decides to use the cup of life to have a son. it kills ygraine. because of course it does. magic itself is hostile to the breaking of the natural order when you use the cup of life. like when hunith nearly dies after merlin meant to sacrifice himself, it punishes uther by taking ygraine, the one person he can’t loose to save the person he has to have alive. and arthur comes out with ygraine’s face. i wonder how old arthur was when uther realized he couldn’t see himself in any of his features. every time he looks at him he sees ygraine copy-pasted but it’s not his wife. it’s the child he, nimueh, magic killed her to have. uther cannot love arthur without his repressed, narcissistic guilt over ygraine’s death. of course he wished he didn’t have a son - magic makes sure that the life you save is never worth the one that’s taken.

gaaaaah i’m just so so so obsessed with the transition from ‘shy and soft’ to ‘self-aware and absolutely furious that he isn’t the main character but refuses to give up and acknowledge that without a fight’. like i think it’s neat that kieran kinda leans on the fourth wall in some places (his critical hit dialogue in the last fight against him having him be like ‘what, are you the hero of this story or something?!’) bc it’s been demonstrated how he loves stories and him seeing himself as a character in one (the whole ogerpon thing and him directly comparing himself to her as a misunderstood victim)
just. it’s so tasty. how he ends up being the toxic bully himself instead and doesn’t realize that for so long bc he saw himself as the hero here. it hurts so bad that we had to put him in his place bc he was out of control but it’s such a delightful tragedy. like i have never felt so bad about being the main character before. i’ve never wanted an npc to punch me so badly
