Y/n POV

Lewis was acting a bit strange, like his mind is not here. He was sitting outside on his balcony watching the busy Monaco streets. “Honey.” I softly said and wrapped my arms around his neck, placing a peck on his cheek. “Hey darling.” He say quietly and touched my arms that hung loosely around his neck. “Are you okay?” He hums softly and kissed my hands. “I love you.” He whispers against my knuckles and placed a few kisses on them as well. “I love you.” I said back and kissed his cheek again. He stayed quiet but softly hold my hands, tracing them as he stared in front of him as his mind wanderers off again.

Lewis was nervous, his left knee was bouncing up and down and he was biting his nails. “You okay?” “Yeah.” He rubbed his face and gave me a forced smile. “If you don’t like the movie we can watch something else.” He shook his head. “No no, it’s a good movie.” I shrugged and looked back at the tv. He sighs and gets up. “I’m going for a run, don’t wait up for me.” He placed a kiss on my head and disappears. ‘What is going on with him?’

I was lying in bed, tossing around as Lewis was away for more than two hours now. ‘Where is he? Is he okay?’ I sighed and checked my phone, no messages from him. ‘He will be fine, he’s probably nervous about the new season that’s coming up.’ As I was thinking about calling him the front door got unlocked and I heard him coming home quietly. I sat right back up in bed and waited for him.

Lewis POV

I tiptoed through the apartment and got to the bathroom to take a cold quick shower as I tried to not wake her up. I stripped down and turned the shower on and hopped under the cold water. “Ohh that’s cold.” I whispered and quickly washed my sweaty body.

I walked with a towel around my waist to our walk-in closet and grabbed some clothes to wear. I ditched the towel in the laundry basket and carefully opened the bedroom door, her nightlight was on and she was sitting straight back up in bed. “Honey I was getting worried…” I slowly walked over, feeling a bit nervous and shrugged. “I’m okay.” I slowly joined her in bed and she rolls over, embracing me. “I’m here for you my love.” ‘I know darling…’ I gently pushed her back and looked at her, she looked confused and a bit worried. “What’s wrong?” She looked worried and I swallowed my nerves away and took a deep breath. ‘It’s time to tell her.’

“I talked this morning with Toto.” I grabbed her hands and hold them for support. “And what was it about?” “I’m leaving the team at 2025.” Her face fell and she looked in shock. “What? why? Are you retiring?” I shook gently my head and smiled. “No I’m not retiring darling, I’m going to race for Ferrari.” She immediately thrown her arms around my neck, hugging me tightly. “Thats amazing my love.” I held her close to me and smiled with tears pricking in my eyes. She pulls back, looking at me with such happiness in her eyes. “Are you happy my love?” I nodded and caressed her right cheek. “I am, it’s a real pleasure to race for them and I love my team but it’s time to move on, they can’t give me what I want so it’s for the best.” She smiles and a tear escaped from my eye. “My love.” She whispers and wipes the tear away as she gets emotional too. “I’m sorry.” I cracked a laugh as she rubs her eyes. “No it’s okay…we both are a bit of emotional wrecks.” She laughed a bit. “We are.” I joked back and pulled her close again. “I’m happy for you my love.” “You support me?” She nods and plants a kiss on my lips. “I always support you my champ.”

Tahra was in love with #Hamilton when she was 5, even though we didn't have a chance to see the show. We based all of our early #Americanhistory on that interest. Visited historic sites and battle locations in NYC, put flowers on his and Eliza's tombstones, went to Philadelphia and visited the locations of the writing of the constitution and read every book we could find. Yet, we had never seen the show. Now, Disney ( which we would have never subscribed to) is showing Hamilton, the brilliant (in so many ways) #Broadway show. We would have loved to have seen it live, but this was still very exciting. That moment when research tells you that Alexander Hamilton was friends with 2 of your 3rd cousins 6 times removed and Eliza hung out with your 2nd cousin 7 times removed and you don’t care how distant that is and you break out into “I Wanna Be In The Room Where It Happened” followed by thoughts of “what if the missing letters are in family files!” May the rabbit hole I just fell in lead anywhere interesting.
