All I ever want to do is play dress up with my dollies. Here’s Rinsea, my ESO main, in some various ceremonial garbs she’s picked up during her adventures. More info under the cut.
Champion of Vivec
She would rather you think of her being the City’s champion than the God-King’s, but here we are. I obviously based it on the Buoyant Armiger’s glass armor. She’s not officially a Buoyant Armiger or anything, but she does get some fancy glass armor pieces for official occasions which she does not attend. This is also partially based on Bajoran liturgical wear because I like it very much.
Champion of Sotha Sil
Technically she’s the champion of the Clockwork City but that was very long to put on her picture lmao. I don’t think Seht would have gotten her any ceremonial wear honestly, but since it’s basically a standard Clockwork Apostle outfit, I like to think that one of that order got her this, something fine and suited to the environment as a thanks for saving their sadboi God. Drawing the armor pieces was really fun and satisfying and they turned out way better than I was expecting.
Champion of Almalexia
Once again I changed the actual title given to fit the picture. Almalexia actually named her a Hand! However as we all know, a Hand of Almalexia is a specific kind of Ordinator and Rin is not actually inducted into that order. She’s a Hand because Ayem says so but that doesn’t actually give her any rank or anything. Instead of giving her Ordinator armor, I gave her a fancy gown. I think Ayem did this with a touch of vanity-isn’t my Hero so beautiful, a true Daughter of Morrowind I am such a proud Mother. Also, I really wanted to draw a pretty dress and no one can stop me. I based some of the details off Kirkbride drawings of Almalexia herself.
Urshilaku Clanfriend
In my personal canon of the story, the Vvardenfell quest happened first for Rin and took around little over a year and in that time she became a Clanfriend among Ashlanders. Her father, Gares, had been an Ashlander until he was forced to flee with his infant daughter and when she returned on what seemed to be Temple business, they were wary of her. But she made herself useful and was unfailingly polite and she was folded into much of their life. I like that while the other outfits look designed and tailored to suit her, her Ashlander gear almost looks like hand me downs and mended pieces. She wasn’t given new and special clothes, she was trusted with clothes worn by the tribe, inviting her into the family itself. These clothes look nice but also like something she work in side by side with the Ashlanders.

Foul Murder is a drawing by Michael Kirkbride. It depicts the supposed death of Hortator Indoril Nerevar at the hands of the Tribunal. Sotha Sil is on the far left, holding Nerevar’s severed face, along with Wraithguard. Vivec is second from the left, stabbing his spear through Nerevar’s heart. Nerevar’s corpse is second from the right, held up by Vivec’s spear. Almalexia is kneeling down on the far right, holding Nerevar’s ankles and feet, and with a sword in her lap. Voryn Dagoth is at the bottom, forced into the dirt by the mass-altering abilities of Kagrenac’s Tools.

i was thinking a lot about the similarities between almalexia and voryn today, mostly on a meta level in how theyre involved in the game's narrative and actions they take that drive it
doing so, i realised they both have p much the same reactions to the nerevarine and act toward them in an almost identical way, but it's very striking to me how this actually can say a lot about nerevar as a character, rather than examining what this means for the both of them
during the morrowind main quest, dagoth ur frequently plays on and references his past relationship with nerevar in attempts to manipulate the nerevarine. he addresses the nerevarine in very intimate ways, and repeatedly alludes to wanting them to join him. in the end, when the nerevarine has a conversation with dagoth ur before their battle, voryn kind of openly admits that regardless of his attempts to have the nerevarine join him, he admits he could never fully trust them and dagoth ur would have betrayed them once the tools were handed over (had the nerevarine chosen to join voryn)
in tribunal, when you first meet almalexia, she immediately endears herself to the nerevarine by instantly referencing their status as her dead husband. she makes a show of addressing the nerevarine this way and proclaiming how happy she is to be reunited. she then sends the nerevarine on a series of suicide missions in an attempt to get them killed, but she frames it the entire time as "of course you'll help your wonderful, sweet, beautiful, innocent wife achieve this goal, right? :3c" (and you do)
the way the 2 of them both behave this way towards the nerevarine is fascinating to me, especially when you consider these 2 characters of course knew nerevar in life and were both very close to him, so its interesting to me that they both immediately think to manipulate the nerevarine via forms of seduction. i think that says something very interesting about nerevar himself though, because almalexia and voryn had to have a reason to think this would work on his reincarnation, right?
it really feels as though they are both trying to exploit nerevar's love for them by way of attempting to rouse these feelings in the reincarnated manifestation of him, since they just expect appeals to their past relationships to work on them, which also gives me the feeling that nerevar may have been a very loyal person to his close loved ones, and that quality in itself proved to hurt him more in the end

Voryn Dagoth: I’m angry with you.
Nerevar: I’m angry with you, too.
Voryn: Let’s give each other some space.
Nerevar: Good idea.
Nerevar: *gets off Voryn's lap to sit next to him. They’re still holding hands*
Almalexia: ?!?
Almalexia: Is this a joke?

hi! is there any known concept art for sotha sil?
Hello! Sorry for the delayed reply. I wanted to do some digging and see what i could find.
I have wondered about Sotha Sil concept art as well. There's a small handful of Vicec/Almalexia concept art but oddly I couldn't find any pieces centered on Sotha Sil from the Morrowind Era save this piece by Michael Kirkbride that I posted a while ago (Sotha Sol is on the right).
I'm not 100% sure if the piece was authored for Morrowinds development or as an a later expansion on Kirkbride's ideas for the lore.
I also found this uncredited concept piece of Sotha Sil for ESO which is based on an earlier (also uncredited) iconography from Morrowind
Lastly I had this piece saved already but hadn't posted the image on the left.
The statue was definitely made by Corey Loving but he didn't list the image on the left in his art portfolio so I'm not certain if he made that bit. Its possible the left image is by Tatiana Malinko or at least one of the artists she supervised
If anyone is able to find full credits for the ESO pieces, please comment below!
