See the thing is, you read HtN and like yeah, obviously lobotomizing yourself so a dead girl’s soul doesn’t get cannibalized is completely fucking wild and you probably have to love someone at least a little to do that, but Harrow has spent the whole book having tension with Ianthe and fervently claiming to be in love with the Body— and then you get to Act V and Harrow is literally weeping wailing feral about Gideon, constructing Prince!Gideon AUs (which, she doesn’t know about Gideon’s paternity!! She is simply drawing upon a (romantic!!!) genre trope!!!) and role reversal AUs and fucking coffee shop AUs about Gideon, and she’s refusing to go back to her own body, and Abigail and Magnus and Dulcie so obviously and completely believe that Harrow is in love with Gideon because they directly compare them to Abigail and Magnus, and she says she’s saving the last dance. Agh!!! Aggghhhhh!!!!!!

S2 of Harrow was pure torture, to watch Harrow suffer while no one believed him. I was screaming into my pillow at some point.

Thank you!! <3 and thank you for playing, it's a great choice!

First impression: he's hot (I mean, it's Ioan Gruffudd) but he's an ass. And he seems to be neglecting his daughter, that's a very bad point for him (I have very little tolerance for bad parents)

Impression now: As it turns out, he *wasn't* a bad dad. On the contrary, he was doing his best to give his daughter the space she needed, even if that meant accepting she was going off the grid, which, as a parent, was a very hard thing to accept. Rewatching S1 knowing what's going on is actually really interesting for Harrow and Fern's relationship. Also, something I've noticed gradually is how compassionate and caring Harrow is with all the marginalized people he encounters. The homeless, the vampire, those with mental disorders or disabilities. Harrow has many faults, but he is a good guy.

Favorite moment: The camping trip with Fairley and Nichols. And the hug with Fern at the end of S1

Idea for a story: A couple of crossovers with Forever. Maybe Harrow is just Henry in the future. After Abe dies, and maybe something happened with/to Jo. He disappears, reinvents himself, gets a new identity and moves to Australia. Or maybe Harrow and Henry are related. Harrow could be the descendant of Henry's sibling or something. And they bump into each other at an ME conference. They look so much alike, and yet they're so different. Henry is appaled by Harrow's fashion choices. But then they quickly realize how smart the other is (maybe there's a case to solve) and they immediately connect.

Unpopular opinion: I have no idea what's popular LOL

Favorite relationship: Harrow and Simon

Favorite headcanon: Simon is, you know, not dead..
