Would you rather make Klance canon OR get an entire spin off show based off just those two but they are both with other characters and essentially destroys any chance of them over ending up together?

Hmmmm this is HARD, I do think Klance not being canon gave lots of potential and creative dynamics to the fan media that we would not have gotten if it was featured in the series because people used their imaginations to make something special not just what was there. BUT not gonna lie seeing them on screen would have made me so incredibly happy. And just as The Owl House has done, make wonders for queer kids everywhere seeing themselves on screen!!! (The screenshot/picture of Shiro in the credits of the last episode i feel was not enough) Repersentation especially if done right makes an incredible difference. Look at what heart stopper did!! The stigma around bi men has noticably lessened since that came out because of exposure, imagine what voltron could have done. Though I would be overjoyed to have a spin off series (especially of those two), 8 seasons is 8 seasons when it comes down to it! Regardless of how off the rails the plot went. (im still upset about Keith leaving for 2 entire seasons LMAO)

So after frankly WAY too much internal debate, I would say Klance canon would be my pick!!!

What are some headcanon you have for China?

oh man, you've opened a can of worms!! note, that a lot of my headcanons derave from deep china discussions i had with wonderful friends on discord.

my favorite one is that i think of him as aroace!!

don't get me wrong, im still able to enjoy ships with him (i do like rochu a lot!!), but in the grand scale for what i think of what is the best romantic relationship for him: none at all!

i just can't see him that way. when i first thought about the best ship for china, closest thing is rochu but even then, it never felt right. and i love my aroace china headcanon, because even after all this time, after everything that has happened, you don't need romance in order to truly live, but rathermore, love. in whatever form that is outside of romance. i consider his familial ties to be one of the most important things to him because of that.

and also it's really comforting to me, because even as a bi person, it's good to know that romance is not a necessity in order to enjoy life

another favorite is that i headcanon that he sends packages of food to kiku at least every chinese new year. ive been having a lot of discussions in regards to yao and kiku's enstranged relationship, to one point in time where they just don't know how to interact with each other especially after ww2. kiku would no longer be there at family reunions or celebrate chinese new year. id imagine there would be zero contact for the first few years after the war and then one day, kiku just get this random package at his door from an anonymous sender and no return address. inside, is his favorite snacks and ingredients for him to make a meal for the lunar new year. japan wouldn't say anything of course, but yao continues to send it year after year.

that said, id imagine food would be a crucial love language for yao. i have a cantonese friend who really emphasized on this fact about chinese culture. food is literally one of his best ways to show that he cares. a package to an enstranged kiku. a street snack at hong kong's doorstep. baked treats for macau. a recipe for taiwan. feeling down? let's have some dim sum and talk about it. its subtle, but it goes a long way. especially since he is an amazing cook.

and also he DEFINITELY has raised more nations than the current east asian family in the past. new nations come and go all the time, so not only he has raised them, im pretty sure he outlived a lot of them.

last one, but i also think a lot about when he was young. we do know from the davie comic that nations don't exactly realize they're.. different from humans at a young age. id actually imagine china to be raised by humans first rather than nations. id imagine when china first came to be, he'd rathermore wander amongst his people and their villages and got to spend time with the landscape before actually coming in contact with his government. of course since he is a child, people would take him in. as the people around him get older and he doesn't, the phenomenon around him starts to swirl and word gets out and that's how i imagine him coming into first contact with his government. and also isn't it canon that if you spend too much time around a nation as a human, you'd go crazy? that will def have its effects as well. just this poor baby yao that like.. has no clue what's going on and why he is so different from everybody else. and id imagine this is something he had to figure out on his own instead of other nations guiding him. id imagine it would be a while until je met someone else just like him.

I Would Like A Book If It Is Alright With You

oooooF COURSE ZOE <3 !!!! i was just scrolling through ur blog for my morning and i JUST saw your ask notification just now at 8:22 am in my day i am so sorry. i’m on it !!!!!!

warning this answer is prob gonna be LONG. it’s the morning so i’m using a lot of words to say very little because i am horribly hyperverbal in the morning, have many many thoughts, and barely any that i can hold on to for longer than like twenty seconds. now i’d like for u to know that my fav three genres are: psychological thrillers, messy literary adult fiction, and books on soft living. and i got and have read MANY books on the first two genres so i was pulling out so many to try n think hard on which one(s) i’d like to pick for you.

- if i actually read the book, The Picture of Dorian Gray would be such good choice because gothic horror, homoerotic angst, crime, and prose !!!! so perhaps that will be my choice for your representation! it’s captivating, interesting, and more (imagine i said more in a spooky scary thriller esq voice). but i really want to deem/recommend u one of the thrillers or messy lit fics that i actually have read because idk idk you like thrillers, i like thrillers, the world goes round. most the books and media that consistently hold my attention are indeed some form of thriller. your blog always reminds me that i need to watch american psycho, and that we both need to watch angels egg.

okay yea i know what im gonna choose. Luster by Raven Leilani. My absolute favorite book that I read from 2021. my most annotated book. some people really dislike this book, not i though. (this is a recommendation rather than blog comparison btw) its lovingly chaotic and emotionally complex, and my favorite FAVORITE part is that the author dedicated it to her mother. just 'for my mother' thats it. yeah. felt felt felt. ANYWAYS. book holds a unspoken yet blatant hatred for working and the usa, is quietly passionate, and unfortunately relatable. everything i LOVE in a book, really.

also if you intend on reading it, please make sure to check the trigger warning list for this book beforehand tyty

*Bolin’s POV*

He felt as if he were about to go toe-to-toe with the legendary Toph herself. It sounded like a barrage of drums in his ears, the way his heart beat so intensely. His clothes were wrinkled with the amount of times he had wipes his sweaty palms on them. However, no matter how nervous he was, he would go through with his plan. It had been a long time coming, too long, really. It had been such a long time coming that when he had told his brother, Mako gave him a smile and a pat on the back before offering him an exasperated “finally”. Bolin had even walked in once on Asami and Korra discreetly planning a way for him to admit his feelings for you.

He was lucky to have the friends he had, for as soon as he had explained his plan to them, they were all more than eager to offer any help that they could. And he wouldn’t have been able to do all of this without them.

They helped with every aspect of his plan, including the encouraging part whenever he became too nervous.

But now that the day had come, no amount of nerves could distract him from the purpose of the day. Or, rather, the night.

“Hey, Bolin! Everything is set up outside, now all you have to do it go out there and wait for the love of your life to show up.”

Asami’s voice echoed through the hallway as she made her into the front room where Bolin continued to pace. Despite her friend’s worrying, she couldn’t help the smile on her face. Despite his worrying, Bolin knew that her smile radiated only a fraction of how happy he felt.

“Yeah, yeah, yeah! I’m fine, I’m heading out! Oh! Are the dumplings out there? And the fruit pie- is the fruit pie out there? What about the blanket? Was it wrinkled?”

“Yes, yes, and no. Everything is perfect, Bolin. Come on.”

Asami gently placed her hand on Bolin’s shoulder and turned him towards the door. Bolin’s feet moved as she gently pushed him through the door, into the hallway.

“Everything is going to go just fine, I know it will. I know because I’ve seen the way you two look each other. You look at her like she’s the moon, and she-“

“Actually, the moon was an actual person, you know? She was a princess of the Northern Water tribe, and I heard that she was beautiful but when I look at the moon, I don’t want to compare Y/N to the moon. Isn’t that a little rude to the both of them. They’re both really beautiful, but Y/N just makes everything around you stop when she walks in. Including your breath- is it hot in here?”

His rambling continued as Asami pushed him through the door leading to the back garden, his talking becoming more frantic the closer they came to the garden.

Asami let him continue, letting him get whatever he needed to get out. However, as they reached the setup for the evening and he continued to ramble, she stopped short, making him do the same. She simply faced him and cocked her head to the side, raising an eyebrow in question.

Upon seeing her expression, his talking eventually slowed until it stopped completely, allowing him to draw in a proper breath. His eyes met Asami’s and a sheepish smile crept onto his face. He let out a sigh.

“Thank you, Asami, for everything. Thanks for letting me use your garden. And your blankets. And your kitchen- you know what? Thank you, for everything.”

A small laugh escaped her mouth as she pat his shoulder. Before she could say anything, the sound of running footsteps reached their ears.

“She’s almost her! She’s coming around now!”

Korra’s words made him freeze in his place, only for both Asami and Korra to grab him a second later, pushing him towards the setup that he worked so hard on.

“You got this, Bolin!”

“Just be yourself!”

They both offered quick words of encouragement before running back into Asami’s home, but not before glancing once more behind them just in time to see you walk around the side.

*Readers POV*

Your eyesbrows furrowed at what your friends were planning, and you knew that they were planning something. You loved your friends, but they were horrible at keeping secrets, and it was rather easy to spot how secretive and suspicious they were acting. There was no point in asking them what they were up to because they wouldn’t come out directly and say it, but their actions said enough.

Their suspicious actions lasted all the way up until today, for some reason.

When Korra had led you back to Asami’s home only to offer a quick “come to the back in one minute” before running off, you knew that all those days of suspicion had culminated into this.

Your mind ran through the possible scenes that you could stumble upon once you followed Korra’s directions, however the second you stepped around the corner, all of those ideas quickly disappeared.

Your eyes trailed over every single detail of the setup in front of you, taking it all in while trying to convince yourself that you weren’t dreaming.

Instead of being shrouded in darkness like it usually was at night, Asami’s garden was bathed in a soft light. It didn’t cover the entire garden, but it covered enough for you to see what you needed to see.

The gazebo that stood before you prompted a gasp to full from your lips. That’s where the light came from.

You could see the lights hanging from the edges of the gazebo along with the over grown vines that snaked up the limbs of it. As you walked closer, you cold hear the faint sound of music coming through a static-y radio along with the sound of someone whispering to themselves. It made your steps slow as your mind worked on trying to recognize the vice, but the second you did recognize it, it just made them speed back up.

“Bolin? W-what’s all this?”

His eyes stayed locked on your face as you continued to look at your surroundings, trying to gauge your reaction. He’d be lying if he said that he didn’t notice the way his heart jumped as a smile formed on your face.

“It’s all for you, Y/N. I…I wanted to do something nice. You’re always doing things for me and helping me, I just wanted to tell you thank you.” Of course, that wasn’t the only reason why he had planned all of this, but he didn’t want to blurt it out. What he had to say was too important, and he would not mess it up with his rambling or bluntness.

You sighed softly, turning to look at him. Your feet carried you over to where he stood, where you raised your hand and let it fall gently onto his arm.

“You…you did all of this just to tell me ‘thank you’?”

An exasperated laugh left your mouth as you glanced around once again, causing you to miss the pure, unadulterated expression of joy that crossed Bolin’s face. You were too busy trying to reign in your emotions; Bolin’s act of kindness brought tears to you eyes. It made your heart twist in the most pleasant way.

“Well, it wasn’t just to thank you. I actually wanted to tell you something.”

His words made you pause. A mixture of anticipation and worry surged through your body as you heard the nervous quiver in his voice; it made you question if you really wanted to hear what he had to say. He had never been nervous to say anything to you, that’s how close you two were. So the fact that he was so nervous to say something made you a little on edge.

“Tell me what, Bolin? Is everything okay?” Your smile fell a little, but it stayed supportive as you looked at him. Despite the worrying circumstances, you would always let him know that you would be there for him, no matter what. You knew that he would do the same for you in any case.

“Yeah, yeah, everything’s okay! I just…um…” His words faded but his eyes never left yours. A deep breath wracked his body and it seemed as if he were trying to find the courage to tell you whatever he needed to tell you. Seeing the conflict plain as day on his face prompted you to gently squeeze his arm.

“You know you can tell me anything, Bolin. Whatever’s got you so nervous, I promise I’ll be there every step of the way of…whatever it is you’re about to-“

“I love you, Y/N. I have for a very long time but I was too scared to tell you because I didn’t know how you would react and I didn’t want to even risk ruining our friendship because I value our friendship more than you could possibly understand, but I just couldn’t go on any longer without telling you that you mean the entire world to me and that I would move any mountain and possibly, some how, learn a new element just to be with you. I understand if you don’t feel the same way, but I really hope that this doesn’t ruin our friendship because I’d rather be your best friend than be nothing to you at all.”

You’d think that it would have been difficult trying to decipher what he had just said, but you had heard every single word effortlessly. The weight of his words settled in the pit of your stomach, keeping you rooted to your spot. You’d kill to see how your face looked, because you certainly couldn’t feel it. In fact, you couldn’t do anything really, besides stand there and pray to the spirits that you had heard him correctly.

The longer you stood there, the more apparent Bolin’s expression of dread became and the more you wanted to wipe away his frown that had formed.

You had been left speechless multiple times because of Bolin, but none of them could compare to this. You truly didn’t know what to say. Well, you did, but you had no idea how to say it.

“You don’t know what to say, but you know what to do, Y/N.”

You didn’t allow another second to pass for in that second, you could’ve psyched yourself out of what you were about to do.

You moved with a speed that you didn’t even know you possessed, and before he could say anything, your body was colliding with Bolin’s, and your lips were being pressed against his. It took him a millisecond to register what was happening, and then his arms were wrapping around your waist and bringing you closer.

It seemed that your bodies molded like two puzzle pieces that fit perfectly together. It wasn’t awkward; it was overdue. You didn’t know exactly how long it had been since you two admitted these feelings to yourselves, but it had been long enough to the point where as you two kissed now, it felt as if you could finally breathe.

Yeah, it had been long overdue.

My HxH ships

I know the internet has a bunch of trolls/idiots that has a habit of harassing people because the ship is “wrong” or it doesn’t suit them. Well, honestly, I don’t really care if you agree with them because I don’t know you personally? And this is fictional so it’s not something to be taken personally or even seriously. Don’t confuse my personal values with what I like with the ships.

I can’t believe I even need to make a disclaimer on this because a bunch of people don’t know how to be civilized once they are anonymous on a social media platform. I will just block lol; BYEEE.

HxH I love:

Defintion - Actively ships them, willing to make fanfics of them if possible

1. Kurapika x Neon

This ship is so underrated it hurts. They may not be similar in terms of personality and views of the dead: Neon focuses more on the living and the present (that’s why she doesn’t have sympathy for the dead and tells Chrollo her fortunes are for the living), while Kurapika focuses on the past and mourns for the dead (his mourning for his clan). But I think both of them are very similar in terms of loneliness. Neon doesn’t have friends and lacks affections from her father; Kurapika is lonely because all of his clan members are dead.

I know the common barrier is Neon’s hobby for flesh collecting, but I think this difference is what makes it more complicated and interesting for me. Especially when Kurapika has been in many seasons under the Nostrade Family... it makes me wonder what kind of interactions they had since it was all Killua and Gon on-screen.

2. Hisoka x Machi

I actually had always liked Hisoka with Machi together. Hisoka seems to really like her and enjoys her company. Machi may seem irritated by him but I think she’s more of a tsundere? She still decides to patch him after the fight against Chrollo, and their relationship got a bit more complicated after the Hisoka vs Chrollo fight.

3. Tserreidnich x Theta

Okay, I LOVE this ship. This is right out love-hate kind of relationship. It lowkey reminds me of Clarice/Hannibal and I find this ship so fascinating? I don’t see a lot of fanfics of them unfortunately. So Legacy by Alltagsabenteuer is a blessing from heaven because it’s the only TsexTheta tag in AO3.

So far I haven’t found anyone else who loves this ship, so please identify yourself if you do.

I’m starting to think I like those complicated love-hate dynamics....

Definition of like - Actively ships them, may make fanfics of them or not. But doesn’t think of them 24/7.

1. Pokkle x Ponzu

This was like, a ship that never really sailed because Togashi decided to kill them both. I think this ship had potential and I’m hoping they find happiness in the afterlife.

2. Chrollo x Neon

I actually really liked how they vibe together during this one scene (although Chrollo targetted to meet her for her fortune-telling abilities). I am a KuraNeon shipper but I like the idea of Chrollo being a 3rd party because I think it fits so well? Chrollo and Kurapika are enemies and I had always found it fascinating how both of them got entangled with the same woman.  Also, people be like “Neon is 16″ uhhh... Hunterpedia states she’s born in 1982, along with Kurapika and Milluki. She’s the same age as Kurapika and Milluki; and Kurapika is widely accepted as 19 now; and it does tally if you see the Hunter x Hunter timeline (although there has been several discrepancies and dubious canonity when it comes to the Official Hunter x Hunter database and the HxH manga timeline). I’m not sure why people falsely remember Neon as a year younger than Kurapika and use it as a common argument to not support Chrollo/Neon when people have no problems (except for some) when it comes to shipping Kurapika with Chrollo.

So... Chrollo be that Mr. Steal Yo Girl and Kurapika’s posessive reaction to it will be astronomical.

1. Killua x Canary

I love how Canary tries her best for Killua and she does care about him. I realised that Killua seems to have an issue with older women (e.g. Bisky, Elevator girl), but I think for girls who are about his age, he’s okay with them. There is a misconception that he can’t communicate with women well (probably because he has issues with his mother), but I think that’s just for old ladies - Canary is cool with him.

2. Hisoka x Illumi

It drives me nuts how these two have matching outfits. I know that they have a more of a give-and-take transactional relationships rather than purely friends, but this is fab best friendship goals. My friend loves this ship and I absolutely support it.

3. Retz (with either Gon or Killua)

The unreasonable hate on Retz is insane because “she’s ruining KilluGon”. I think it’s really refreshing to see Killua and Gon hang out with another girl their age. You can see that Gon is really sweet towards her. Killua is more suspicious of her for a good reason but he never hated her. Remember that Killua is not used to interacting with people due to his family background. In fact, as @u-named mentioned, Killua and Retz shares similarities in terms of wanting to be free from their family.

4. Alluka x Gon

I would love to see a fanfic where Gon starts to woo Alluka and Killua will be that overprotective brother, knowing that his best friend is a player. Alluka/Nanika healed Gon anyway, so she’s technically his saving angel.

5. Ging x Gon’s unnamed mom

Okay, this is a bit weird cause we don’t know who Gon’s mom is... (and screw that Pregnancy Stone theory, I just think it’s weird how Ging mentioned Gon’s mom in the tape if he never had a mom lmao; is he gonna say “which you don’t have” like ???).

I actually like fanfics that explores Ging’s life before Gon and various interpretations of who Gon’s mom is.

What Lies Beyond by Thatsoneperson is one of the best fanfics I’ve read when it comes to Ging’s life before Gon. The ending was really heartbreaking and I had always loved the “Gon’s mom was from the DC” theory because Yusuke’s ancestral father came from the Demon World and there were hints of Gon’s dark aura throughout CA and Election arc.

Somehow in my headcanon, I had always envisioned Gon’s mom to resemble Usagi from Sailor Moon but with Gon’s hair colour. Gon also has certain personality traits that are very different from Ging and I believe that came from his mother.

6. Meruem x Komugi

One of the most unexpected, beautiful, saddest, semi-canon pairings in the entire series. It highkey reminds me of Beauty and the Beast. It was beautiful how Meruem, a Chimera Ant that was supposed to be destined to rule the world above humans, became gradually attached to a blind human girl.

7. Killua x Machi

This is fucking weird; because of the age gap but I like to think Killua meets her again one day when he grows up, and they had some sort of flirtation because he needs to be on par with Gon when it comes to dating women.

There was actually a cute fic about that called A Series of Pick Up Lines by Yandere Shoujo where Killua was trying to use pick up lines on a woman because he wanted to try it out after knowing that Gon dated women prior and just so happens to bump into Machi.

Now im not gonna say 'dont feel bad pls' bc I know that's not really useful but what I do think is useful is just discussing why that anon and many others feel the need to respond that way. As someone who follows a lot of writing blogs myself and have done for a long time, i've seen my handful of favourite writers come and go for different reasons, lose motivation for a while, gain motivation for a while, go from multi to single fandom, or single fandom to multi. Often times as a reader it can be upsetting when things change but it's also important as a reader to understand that some things aren't in anyone's control, I can't control what my favourite writers become a fan of or lose interest of, I can't control things in their personal lives that may motivate or demotivate them to write, but what I can do is support them as long as they're active, and if they move on to do things i'm no longer interested in or i'm the one that changed interests, rather than being upset that they're evolving to do other things or that they're not evolving with me, I think it's important that I still feel thankful for the works that I enjoyed while we were still on the same page and this is how I personally deal with those negative feelings. I think the anons that lash out at you probably just dont know what to do with themselves, maybe they got attached to your works while you were still only a jjba blog and now that you're evolving they're upset, while I understand how they feel, they're going the completely wrong way about it. I've learned to take these things and turn them into something positive for myself or at least something bittersweet that I can move on from but the anons that lash out at you for whatever reason probably haven't learned this yet. Maybe it's because i've moved on and changed interests a lot myself that I know how these things go for both writers and readers but those anons maybe haven't experienced this as much so they dont know what to do with themselves other than complain that you've changed and throw insults at you in an attempt to get you to revert back. None of this is because of the quality of your writing like they want you to believe, it's literally just because you've evolved and while some of your old followers might not like the new content for no reason other than it not being their cup of tea, it's definitely not regressed at all. You are pumping out a lot of content right now but every single thing i've read has just been better than the last. Things that really stand out to me is how well you get characterisation down to a T and all of your dialogue is just on point and from the pov of a reader I think those things seem the hardest to get right so I am such a huge fan of your stuff at the moment and I can tell you're really putting so much thought and care into each and every fic no matter how fast you're producing it, I think the fact that you're also proud of what you're writing at the moment really shines through as well and I just adore the passion that radiates from every completed request as well as in the responses for the subsequent thirsts resulting from these works that appear in your ask box later (I know i've sent quite a few by now~)

Just to be clear i'm not defending those anons in any way, while I can understand what they might be feeling/why they're reacting in the way they are I still believe it's just so immature to be hateful online point blank. Even during a time where I still got upset with writers if they started doing something else I still never targeted that negativity directly to the writer and sending rude or hateful comments whether on anon or not never something i'd stooped low enough to do even when I still had an immature way of thinking, however, I hope that it might make it a little easier to brush them off if we try and understand what they're really upset about, and that they're just putting the blame for their negative feelings onto the wrong thing rather than coming to terms with change themselves.

hello anon!! i appreciate the long message. i do feel bad for people who have no interest in what i’m currently producing and i get that they feel upset about it; i’ve watched a lot of fellow jojo writers move on completely or just stop posting, honestly. this kind of thing is why i was so intense about asking people if it would be better if i made a separate blog but the resounding answer seemed to be ‘i’m just vibing with whatever happens and i’ll block tags as needed’. 

i often return to works by my favourite reader-insert writers who no longer write for the fandoms i like (and i read stuff bc it sounds interesting or i trust the person who writes it), but change can be difficult and i guess at this point i’ve - whether u like me or not lmao - been a fixture in jojo reader-insert tumblr for a While so it’s probably kind of jarring.

Headcanons for yandere Bakugou Katsuki, Tamaki Amajiki and Denki Kaminari with a darling who doesn’t feel pain

Now this is what I’m talking about. It would be the worst case scenario for sadistic type yanderes who instantly resort to harsh physical punishment whenever their darling slips up. Take someone like Bakugou, who I personally feel would act like this, and this very well would be his worst nightmare. His temper doesn’t allow for him to devise a proper, more humane plan for reprimanding his darling. There would never be an option for ‘talking it out.’ Just pure, unbridled pain in hopes of his darling learning their lesson.

But in this case, oh boy. It would really put him through the wringer. Bakugou wouldn’t understand how to correct their behaviour without using violence. So when he finds out they just...don’t feel pain? That alone would be enough to destroy almost all his plans for making them behave. To make things worse, he can’t even threaten them with hurting their loved ones. His brain might just short circuit trying to comprehend the situation. He’s got a darling that refuses to behave and is immune to anything he could use against them.

It’s safe to say that this particular situation would leave him at a loss for words for quite some time. Hell, he might just hurt them to let out his anger for a while even though he knows it does nothing. He’d just be so frustrated, dealing with a disobedient darling that just couldn’t care less what happens to their body if it means they have a chance of escaping.

Realistically though his darling probably still wouldn’t have a good chance at escaping either way. After finding out about their quirk the restraints would be increased tenfold. And once he comes to terms with it, the lockdown they’d be under would be suffocating. If he couldn’t hurt them he certainly wouldn’t let them hurt themselves. Even if they couldn’t feel it, the sight of them broken and bloody on their own accord would start to get to him. The whole point he had them locked up is to keep them safe, but he couldn’t even keep them safe from themselves? The whole ordeal would just be a mess, but eventually he would have to learn some other methods of punishment.

Technically, you don’t need to be in physical pain to hurt someone. You could just make them extremely uncomfortable―even damage them mentally.

I said this in my post about how Bakugou would deal with a bratty s/o, but there’s options like leaving them in a cold room to freeze for a while. There’s other things like drowning, sleep deprivation, shock collars. If we’re throwing all the hypotheticals out there then things like orgasm denial, overstimulation, and the use of aphrodisiacs aren’t off the table either. If anything, those punishments might just be worse as it would mortify his darling by being forced to enjoy the treatment to a certain extent. None of these puts his darling in pain, but my god it might just make them wish they didn’t have their quirk so less humiliating methods were used.

In this case, the sadistic type of yandere that I can see Bakugou being would work around this situation.

However, if we were looking at a protective type of yandere, say Tamaki, this would be ten times worse. He’d never threaten them with violence, but the reality that they’d tear up their own flesh to get away from him would be extremely disturbing.

It wouldn’t matter if it hurt them or not, seeing his darling deliberately harm themselves would not sit well. He’s already the type of person to treat his darling very gently in the first place. Luxuriously padded cuffs, the softest clothing imaginable, even personally bathing them to make sure they were taking care of themselves while using the most expensive products that he thought would best suit their physique. Now bring highly self-destructive behaviour into the mix and you’d never get any semblance of privacy ever again.

The side effects of them being strapped to a bed all day wouldn’t matter to him. In his mind it would be the only option to keeping his darling safe from themselves. Nothing would stress him out more than having to leave them alone to go out. There’d be cameras everywhere along with security systems to let him know if they ever leave the house.

Frankly, Tamaki would be too afraid to do much about the situation other than immobilize his darling. He wouldn’t want to yell at them because that might scare them, and he also doesn’t exactly have the will to do that in the first place. Instead he’d likely resort to simply begging them to behave.

With all the isolation his darling would be put through, their resolve to stay strong would deteriorate in favour of hoping for any kind of stimulation. Tamaki wouldn’t lay a finger on them, and he wouldn’t allow them any freedoms either. It would be extremely mentally taxing, and in this situation his approach would likely result in his darling’s mind breaking. There’d be absolutely no chance of them escaping, so their reformation would be solely done to get even a sliver of stimulus, even if it’s just to stretch their legs every now and then.

The only other way this scenario could go with the biggest difference in approach in my opinion would be with a delusional yandere, like Kaminari. While he’s also got attributes of a protective, the situation is still generally applicable. It would be a matter of him not being able to comprehend that they’re doing it because they hate him, and are rather just too scared because of the situational whiplash they’re experiencing. It’s mentioned in the ask that here the darling doesn’t have any friends or family, so it may turn into the mindset where he thinks they simply don’t understand what it’s like to be loved unconditionally.

Either way, he wouldn’t be violent when it came to trying to get them to stop. It would be more like amping up the love he’d normally dish out in hopes of gently coaxing them to stop. As far as Kaminari would be concerned his darling simply didn’t know any better. It wasn’t their fault, but he can’t just watch as they destroy themselves doing what they think is right.

It’d be more like taming a wild animal than anything else. He’d hold them until they calmed down and stopped yanking at their restraints, all the while gently cooing at them, saying that they’re safe with him and there’s nothing to be afraid of. For their own sake he’d slip some sedatives into their drink or meals just so they couldn’t hurt themselves in their weakened state. If the issue persisted they’d pretty much be drugged 24/7, especially if he had to leave them alone to take care of something outside of the house. He’d patiently bandage any injury they received for however long it took, knowing they wouldn’t be able to hold out forever. If they didn’t exhaust themselves fighting back then he’d do that for them.

It’d all be for their own good, and eventually they would understand that. It would be kind of hard not to with all the affection he’d show them.

suga, my dear mama crow, he’s very subtle with his touches, one of the few would not be overly affectionate towards his darling unless something made him do it ( ex: jealousy ). he would hold your hand or pull his arm around your shoulder. 

B - Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?

if it comes down to him having to fight for his darling, I don’t see him getting physical. Suga has a way with words and that alone could get him what he needs. he might make up a few lies and sooner then later, the person who is trying to get close to you is suddenly in jail. it’s nice having a friend in the police force. 

C - Cruelty: How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them?

he wouldn’t mock them. he would leave them alone and when their darling felt like they were done being dramatic, he’d come and grab them. Suga teaches kids so he can be very patient, especially when it comes to their darling. 

D - Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?

he’d make them do household duties such as cleaning, cooking, housewife tingz. he’d also force them to cuddle him. I can imagine he wants kids but he’s going to wait until the stockholm syndrome kicks in until he starts putting the idea of kids into your head. 

E - Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?

again, Suga is very smart and knows how to think logically. he isn’t like Hinata or Noya where they would bare their feelings to their darling very quickly. he’s going to wait maybe a few months, maybe even a whole year to actually become soft around you. after that, yeah, he’d bare everything to you but it isn’t coming quickly. 

F - Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?

Suga would let you throw you tantrum, he doesn’t care. he’d let you scream and cry, however; if it became too much, he’d lock you up for a few days. clearly he’d still feed you but he wouldn’t let you indulge in the freedom or even see the light of day. 

G - Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?

he’d think it’s kind of funny. again, benefits of working at a elementary school, he has access to child protection locks and he manages to maneuver them in a way where even you can’t get through to them. shoutout to Daichi again. 

H - Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience with them?

the way that Suga could get cold with them. he has this deep stare to him that if he gives it to you, you know you’re about to get punished. Suga does not hold back. punishment when he gets to that point is terrifying, regardless of what punishment you have coming, it’s going to be bad. 

I - Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?

Suga thinks he wants what others have but I personally don’t see him pressuring you for kids right away. he wants his time with you before he has a couple of Sugawara’s running around your home but he does want them. another thing is to get you to have you get along with Daichi and his darling. 

J - Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?

if and when he does take you outside, he wouldn’t get too jealous. I see him to be a bit on the delusional side in the sense that he thinks that you don’t like anyone else but him. although suga isn’t stupid so if he sees that you’re getting a bit too close to someone, he’d drag you into a corner and promptly remind you who you belong too. 

K - Kisses: How do they act around or with their darling?

once he got to the point where he saw that you were now falling into his traps, he’d cuddle and kiss you as much as he’d want. Suga would kiss you every morning and every time before bed. again, the small bit of delusional would make him think that you’re any ordinary couple.

L - Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?

he probably met you in college. you were both early ed majors so he saw you in most of his classes. Suga would bring you cute trinkets that probably had to do with teaching. he’d give you classroom decoration ideas. Suga wants to gain all of your trust before he kidnaps you.

M - Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?

Suga is incredible in hiding his yandere ways. literally no one could guess he is one. but in the sense that everyone is either yandere or someone’s darling, he’d still act different in comparison to other yanderes. he wants to make it seem that he isn’t as rough or too tough. 

N - Naughty: How would they punish their darling?

O - Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling?

he’d let his darling have some rights but if he realized that you were taking advantage of said rights, it’s over with. you get no rights. the only two consistent rights you get are books and television. those two are forms of entertainment that you can’t really take advantage of. 

P - Patience: How patient are they with their darling?

he’s very patient. he could take a few fights with you and the small jabs that you throw at him. it probably doesn’t get physical or into punishment territory unless you hit him where it hurts. regardless of what you say or do, he has enough patience with you. 

Q - Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?

I think Suga would rather DIE than to see his darling escape. if you die, yes, he would be upset, but I think it would hurt him more if you escaped. in the case that you died, he would be upset, as would any yandere but he’d be able to move on. if you escaped, he might not be able to take it. 

R - Regret: Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would they ever let their darling go?

I think a part of him would feel a bit bad that he took you. it wouldn’t necessarily kill him but it would make him upset at lease for the first few months. as he grows into the lifestyle of a yandere, it would burden him less and less. 

S - Stigma: What brought about this side of them (childhood, curiosity, etc)?

probably the fact that he wasn’t as great of a volleyball player as others were. he would see the way that Hinata or Tsukki would play and get compliment that and he would crave the validation he saw from others. it’s probably the high school experience that lead him onto that. 

T - Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?

he doesn’t really care. Suga probably would get annoyed at first but as the months continue and you throw one of your tantrums, he would simply ignore you. if he saw you crying for a different set of reasons, maybe you aren’t getting enough affection, then that’s different. he’d comfort you until you calmed down. 

U -Unique: Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?

being that he is one of the coldest yanderes, at least in my eyes, his affection isn’t like THAT high. you’d probably have to initiate the romantic feelings because Suga i think would take a while to fully understand that once the stockholm syndrome sets in, you want his affection and validation. 

V - Vice: What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape?

Suga doesn’t have a lot of weaknesses. the only one I could sense you being able to exploit is his repressed insecurities. regardless if it’s the things that happened to him in the past or current insecurities, if you push the right buttons, he might give you a sliver of a chance. 

W - Wit’s end: Would they ever hurt their darling?

it would take a lot for Suga to actually hurt you. he doesn’t seem himself as the physical punishment kind of person but if you push him to that point then yeah he would. mental punishment is more of his playing field so he’s more comfortable breaking you that way. 

X - Xoanon: How much would they revere or worship their darling? To what length would they go to win their darling over?

he doesn’t do it much. worshipping gets better the longer you stay with him but it doesn’t necessarily improve even after your stockholm syndrome sets in. once he does realize it though and he sees that you’re basically a clingy, needy mess for him then that’s the starting point for small worship and praises. 

Y - Yearn: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?

he likes you for a while but not to the point where he’s desperate and falling to the knees for you. if he sees himself getting to that point, he’d clock it right away and just snap and take you then. i can imagine he only lets you be free for a month or two before snapping. 

Z - Zenith: Would they ever break their darling?

mentally yes, physically, no. i’m not saying he wouldn’t ever physically break you but it has to be on the most extreme cases like your screaming day and night. you won’t eat or drink anything. Suga doesn’t really like physical punishments like i’ve said.

"Oh yes, my girlfriend and I enjoy true crime shows pretty often."

Virgil sighed, staring at the golden letters glowing on his skin. It stung a lot to see his soulmate lie like this every night.

He turned over in bed to face Janus, "I hate your boss."

"Mmhmm, me too," Janus replied flatly, not taking his eyes off the newspaper.

"I shouldn't have to see this. You shouldn't have to keep me hidden from your coworkers," Virgil felt anger knotting at the bottom of his stomach. It truly wasn't fair.

"If he finds out I'm gay, he will fire me. I'm not having this discussion right now," Janus declared with a tone of finality.

"I'm not asking you to out yourself, I'm just upset about the situation," Virgil twisted onto his back and stared at the ceiling, "what does yours say?"

Janus gave an exasperated sigh and made a show of rolling up his sleeve before reading the shiny purple text, "'Oh my god, that would definitely have killed me!' Honestly, Virgil, it was a mouse. Bit of an overreaction."

"Whatever, good night."

"Virgil?"

"What?"

"I love you."

"Love you too."

Well, it wasn't a lie, Virgil is far too trusting of him for him to not mean it when he says he loves him.

Janus could remember back when they'd first met, Virgil wouldn't even give him his phone number. It had been a tedious process getting the anxious man to open up, and it was more than worth it to Janus. The problems only started when he'd met her.

Remus had been completely unexpected; Janus had literally run into her on his way to work. He panicked that first night the neon green script appeared on his arm opposite the purple text. Remus was also his soulmate and unlike Virgil, she was eager to know Janus.

Janus had made his decision to keep his second soulmate a secret the moment he saw the text, and now he sat like a spider atop his web of lies.

Janus glanced over at Virgil as he lay there, clearly not asleep yet, and started humming a lullaby that usually helped Virgil relax. The tension in his shoulders started to ease and soon he was snoring. Janus folded up the newspaper and took the disposable phone out of his nightstand.

He quickly shut off the phone and hid it again before turning off the bedside lamp and rolling over to fall asleep. ---- Truth be told, it was simply easier to talk about Remus at work because they went by multiple pronouns. It also helped that they didn't immediately get suspicious anytime Janus brought them up. Virgil’s concern could be overbearing and it was just easier to stay under the radar of homophobic coworkers who would no longer respect him if they found out.

He didn't feel good about lying; it was survival. But he was good at it.

"Jan!" Remus waved him over as soon as he arrived at the restaurant. He smiled and joined them at their table, "it's been too long, why are you avoiding me?" Remus asked with a grin.

"I'm not, I just don't want to interrupt your work," Janus smirked, taking a sip of his water.

"What? You don't think I could handle you trying to distract me?" Remus laughed happily, leaning over to kiss their soulmate’s cheek.

They laughed and joked all through dinner, gossiping about coworkers, generally having a good time. The time got away from Janus and it was midnight before he realized how late it had gotten.

"Oh! I want to see what your soul mark says today!" Remus beamed, excitedly rolling up their own sleeve.

"You do tend to have quite… entertaining quotes," Janus' smile hid his irritation but he obliged, rolling up his sleeve as well, "'Why don't we eat the babies and call it Swifting?' Really, Remus? Do I want context?"

"You remember 'A Modest Proposal' by Jonathan Swift, right?" he giggled, reading his own quote of the day, "'Honestly, Virgil, it was a mouse.' Huh…" Remus looked confused, "who's Virgil? You don't talk about him but I see his name come up pretty often."

"A coworker. He's not very pleasant to talk with but we often have projects together," the lie was smooth as silk. He knew this one would happen someday and had prepared.

Remus glanced over and saw a streak of purple along Janus’ wrist of his other arm, "what's that?" they grabbed Janus' wrist and pushed the sleeve up before he could protest. They read the words out loud, "'sup, fellow cryptids? I'm your host, Virgil Keir and it's time to talk about why you absolutely should run to the woods to date the Fae.' Wait…" Remus looked up knowingly, "Virgil is your soulmate, not your coworker."

"He can be both. Like I said, he's not easy to get along with-" Janus was sweating under his collar.

"I want to meet him!" Remus exclaimed.

"Why?' Janus was genuinely puzzled by their reaction.

"Hello! I love his youtube channel and you're my easy in! Plus he's your soulmate so he's gotta be important to you, which makes him all the more important to me," Remus grinned happily, "I swear I'm not jealous that you have two soulmates."

Janus let the comment slide past him, "I'll talk with him, but he's rather private. He may not want to meet you. I mean, he hasn't asked about you at all."

"Alright alright. Thanks, Jan!" Remus kissed him again, "wanna stay the night?" they asked with a wink.

"Not tonight, we both have work tomorrow and it's late enough already," Janus gave them a silvery smile while standing to pay the bill.

"Aw man, I can't wait to tell Stormy about this!" Remus pulled out their phone and was already texting with fire in their eyes.

"Who’s Stormy?" Janus asked hesitantly.

"Tumblr mutual. He's like the biggest fan of 'Mothman Mondays'. He'll be so stoked!"

"Ah- well have fun with that. Goodnight, darling," Janus left quickly. This needed to be contained. ---- Virgil stared at his phone in disbelief.

Virgil smiled at thoti's enthusiasm. They both picked a local cafe to meet in the afternoon and signed off for the night. Virgil didn’t even wait for Janus to get home before falling asleep. ---- Virgil got to the cafe an hour early. He could barely feel his own breathing as his heart felt like it filled his whole chest and stomach. What if he was wrong and thoti turned out to be a creep or stalker? What if he was never heard from again? He hadn't even said goodbye to Janus that morning. He tried to scroll tumblr to calm down, tried to research for his next episode, anything to distract himself from the anticipation and anxiety.

Remus couldn't wait to meet stormy and was practically bouncing around the back seat of xyr Uber. He'd given xem his phone number since they'd never shared photos and xe was trying desperately to not call before xe got to the cafe.

About a block away xyr phone started ringing. It was stormy.

"Hello?" Xe answered breathlessly.

An all too familiar voice answered xem, "hey, thoti, I know you're not here just yet but I have a bit of a confession to make."

"Virgil…" Remus was practically shoved out of the car by the driver as xe was paralyzed in shock. Xe looked up and saw the familiar pale face, purple hair with swooping bangs and dark eyeshadow smiling at him from a table in the corner, phone held to his face.

"Yup, sorry," Virgil hung up as Remus walked over, mouth agape.

"All this time?" xe asked, not ready to sit at the table with one of xyr favorite minor celebrities.

"Yeah, I kinda like participating in cryptid culture without being hounded about my videos," Virgil shrugged with a grin, "come on, sit down. I'm a lot more like stormcloud than I am like my videos."

"I'm Remus," xe stuck out xyr hand.

"Virgil," he snickered and pinched Remus' fingers with three of his own and gave a curt little shake. Xe laughed and sat down across the table, fidgeting with xyr hoodie strings. Virgil gave xem a long look over, "so your soulmate knows me?"

"Oh yeah, I kinda found out last night and asked him to ask you to meet me so if he brings that up, sorry. I just got really excited about it," Remus blushed in embarrassment, "hopefully Janus will be cool about it."

Virgil stopped mid-sip of a mocha latte, "Janus?"

"Yeah, our soulmate."

"You're his soulmate too? I don't believe you," Virgil shook his head.

"Virgil, what do you mean? You're acting suspicious," Janus’ mind was reeling. He'd forgotten what Virgil had said he was going to do that day and didn't expect him to be so hostile. He glanced down at the purple text on his arm and asked, "who's 'thoti', Virgil?"

Virgil started to reply when he saw a flash of green on his own arm. He looked and was surprised to find a second soul mark in a dark green scrawl. His phone was ringing and he didn't even need caller ID to know who it was, "are you seeing this too, Rem?" Virgil's eyes flicked over to Janus and narrowed, "a second soulmate, who could have guessed?" Janus kept his face impressively passive at the news and subtle accusation, "okay, see you soon."

Virgil hung up and glared at Janus who simply repeated, "who's 'thoti', Virgil?"

"You insufferable bastard! You know exactly who xe is, your 'girlfriend' our soulmate," Virgil scowled, ready to tear out a throat and leave the body for the wolves. He saw that Remus had texted him that xe was 10 minutes away. Janus had nowhere to run now.

"Her name is Remus. Why would I assume she was your soulmate or that you would give her such a disrespectful nickname?" Janus tried to steer the conversation in his favor.

"You're going to accuse me of disrespect? For the last five months, you have done nothing but lie to us and you're saying I'm the disrespectful one? You can't deflect your way out of this one, babe," Virgil felt his eye twitch. Remus better get there fast if he wanted both soulmates intact.

Virgil was screaming and beating Janus with a pillow when the doorbell rang.

"What the fuck? Is this a confrontation or a sleepover?" Remus burst in the door, finding it unlocked. He ran over and pulled Virgil off of Janus, getting a face full of feathers in the process.

"Oh just casual domestic abuse," Janus picked himself off the floor as Virgil struggled to get out of Remus' grasp.

"I'm going to make him pay, one way or another!" Virgil snarled.

"I don't know, Virgil, I think we can work this out," he blurted out.

Virgil stared at Remus dumbfounded, "you think what? Work this out? He's lied to you the whole time you've known him!"

"So did you," Remus looked down as if ashamed to say it out loud, "I thought you were stormcloud. I gushed about Virgil to you for hours and you never thought to tell me who you really were. I bet you even got content ideas from me and never had to credit them. So how is that different, if not worse, than Janus being scared of you doing exactly what you're doing right now?"

"You really think having an anonymous tumblr is worse than being manipulated for years? Is that what I'm hearing, Remus?"

"I think you're overreacting. I want to try and fix this relationship because we're soulmates and we should be able to make it work," Remus sighed, turning away from Virgil, "I'm not cutting anyone off."

"It's alright, Virgil. I forgive you. Let's figure this out together-"

"NO!" something snapped. Virgil squared up, facing the other two, "get out."

"Virgil," Janus took a step towards him.

"I said, Get Out."

"Oh, did you forget? The lease is in my name. I'm not leaving my fucking apartment. If you don't want to work with us then you can work on getting your own place to live," Janus’ look turned smug and cold as ice.

"Janus, don't kick him out," Remus looked as though he were about to spiral into a panic attack. If he'd just kept his mouth shut for once maybe-

"No, he's right. He holds shelter and food over my head to keep me in line so he can keep a secret fuck boy on the side and expects me to 'work it out' like I'm too scared to fend for myself. Fuck you," Virgil started to laugh with tears streaming down his cheeks. He turned and grabbed his backpack, walking to their room to grab as much of his stuff as he could. Remus followed him, holding Janus back from saying anything more.

"Virgil, please. I don't want to lose you," Remus pleaded softly.

"I thought you were pissed at me for being a liar on the internet," Virgil muttered.

"Maybe, but if I'm willing to forgive Janus don't you think I can forgive you too?" Remus held up his arm to block the door.

Virgil stopped with a heavy exhausted sigh, "I don't want your forgiveness. Remus, if you love me, let me go."

Virgil watched as a tear slipped down Remus' face and he lowered his arm. The rage that fueled him broke and he grabbed Remus in a hug. The other stiffened, uncertain, before relaxing and hugging Virgil back.

"I didn't want to leave you; I just can't stay with him," Virgil fought to keep his voice from trembling as much as his shoulders were shaking.

"I'll see if my landlord can add you on my lease… that way you don't have to leave?" Remus offered hopefully.

"That sounds like a thousand more nights spent screaming. Not a good idea," Virgil broke away from the hug, "thank you, Remus."

"You… you know how to find me if you need me," Remus laughed sullenly.

"Thanks. I'm sorry."

Remus only nodded as Virgil made for the front door.

"If you leave right now, you'll never see him again," Janus spoke from his place on the couch, wine glass in hand, and already half-empty in the short time Virgil spent packing.

"I know. Anything to keep me from fighting you, right? Just watch me find a way to be happy, asshole," Virgil spat before walking out without a second glance back. ---- "Virgil?"

"What?"

"I love you."

"No, you don't!" Virgil hissed, pushing himself away as hard as he could.

"Virgil, I know I'm not your soulmate but I am confident about my feelings for you," Logan looked confused and hurt but all Virgil could see was a cold, sly smile he'd tried so hard to forget. Reality started to blur and Virgil began to hyperventilate while the smirk leered closer, "Virgil, it's me, Logan. In for four."

Virgil focused on the calming voice and followed its instructions. After a few minutes, he could see Logan’s living room, feel the blanket tangled around their feet, the soft touch of his best friend pulling him back from the edge.

"Logan, I- I'm-"

"Don't apologize. There's nothing to apologize for," Logan held him close, resting his chin in Virgil’s hair, "you were clearly triggered. I did not mean to hurt you and your lashing out wasn't directed at me."

"But I know you aren't him, it's not fair for me to treat you that way," Virgil shuddered, pushing in to be as close to Logan as possible.

"Perhaps not, but I'm choosing to forgive it because I know this isn't easy for you," Logan smiled rubbing small circles on his back, "I will learn one thousand different ways to show you my appreciation and care if those three little words are ineffective and harmful to you."

"I don't deserve you," Virgil's voice was muffled as he buried his face in Logan’s chest to hide the tears threatening to spill over.

"No, you deserve so much more than I can give you, and you didn't deserve what happened in the past," Logan kissed the top of his head sweetly.

Virgil choked back a sob, "don't your soulmates hate me?"

Logan sighed, "no. They are happy together and I am happy for them. It has been a while since I've talked to either Patton or Roman, but I think they're okay with me finding you. Not every breakup is toxic, nor are all soulbonds romantic."

They stayed curled together like that on the couch for quite a while, the movie they'd been watching left forgotten on pause.

"Are you happy, Logan?" Virgil whispered, breaking the easy silence.

"With you, yes."

"Promise?"

"I promise I won't lie to you. I am happy with you, Stormcloud," Logan squeezed him tighter, trying to impart every ounce of his love with the application of force. He never wanted to be the one hurting Virgil, and if he ever met Janus or Remus, there was a baseball bat with their names on it in the corner.

Hidden smiles, glancing touches, spending a lot of time with someone...  Chuck’s affection is very understated, but always palpable. He’s not flashy about it, but when he cares for someone, it’s impossible for them not to know. And if they know, that’s what matters, right? 

B   :   BOUQUET.   does your muse like flowers? which ones are their favourite?

Oh god, no, he’s hopeless with flowers. If he’s looking for a bouquet, he’ll either appeal to the florist for help, or send one of his more knowledgeable friends to pick one up and pass it off as his own.

C   :   CHOCOLATE.   does your muse like chocolate? which one is their favourite?

Dark chocolate with almonds. That’s his thing. Throw him off the train now, before he infects the rest of us.

D   :   DATE.   what is your muse’s ideal date? where / who with / etc?

Give him...  something cozy and intimate. Maybe go antiquing together, and spend the whole time exploring fascinating old artifacts, pieces of the past; maybe go to a winery and wander around amidst the rows of bottles; maybe just lie in a field, listening to the birdsong and soaking in the sun. For Chuck, it doesn’t matter so much where, as long as he’s with someone he can enjoy it with.

E   :   EMBRACE.   does your muse like hugs? what are their hugs like?

Not a big hugger. If he hugs, it’s probably a special occasion, and stands out all the more for it. His hugs are protective; even if he’s the smaller half of the embrace, he’s very firm, and leaves them feeling grounded.

F   :   FLIRT.   is your muse good at flirting? how do they flirt?

Ohhhh boy. You don’t know. You’re not ready. Anyone who hasn’t seen him in action could probably never believe it, because Chuck seems quite reserved at times, but he has a way with women. He develops a reputation as a bit of a Casanova while in England. It’s the eyes, really, and the voice like velvet, and the lingering touches on the right side of suggestive...  Chuck doesn’t have to do much at all.

G   :   GIFT.   is your muse good at gift - giving or do they struggle to get it right?

He’s observant, so gift-giving isn’t the massive challenge for him that it would be to others. He just doesn’t give out a lot of gifts, is the thing. Chuck’s the sort of person who gives gift cards for birthdays, because the person can surely buy something they’ll like better than he ever could...  unless he knows for a fact what they want, in which case he’ll rock up with that exact thing on the day of. If he sees someone needs something, he’ll get it. On rare occasions, he’ll spot something that reminds him of someone, and casually give it to them without making a big deal out of it, just in case they don’t like it. (He can’t bear the thought of getting someone something and them having to fake happiness  ---  he’d literally rather show up to the party emptyhanded.)

H   :   HEART.   is your muse quick or slow to give their heart away?

Very slow. He’s careful, and likes to be certain of each step as he takes it...  but some things in life just can’t be planned out.

I    :   I LOVE YOU.   does your muse find ‘i love you’ easy or hard to say?

I don’t want to say he’s shy about it, but...  Chuck’s a naturally cautious guy, so he’s not about to blurt it out. Love sneaks up on him. One moment, he’s sure he knows where he stands in a casual relationship; the next, it dawns on him that he’s in a lot deeper than he realized. He’ll think it a thousand times before he knows how to say it... but his lingering glances and tender touches speak for themselves.

J   :   JEALOUSY.   does your muse get jealous in a relationship?

He doesn’t like to admit it, but...  yeah, a little bit. A lot, actually. Chuck’s got a passionate jealous streak. He’s not about to go stalking his partner at midnight, but he doesn’t like seeing other people flirt with them, and to imagine them in a charged situation without him gets his usually mellow blood boiling. He tends to take this out on his partner  ---  deep kisses, hands roaming all over their body, demanding the affection he suddenly needs. Jealousy gets Chuck in the mood. No, he’s not about to explain it, but no way would his partner ever complain.

K   :   KISS.   is your muse a good kisser? why / why not?

Chuck is very, very talented with his tongue, and knows many ways to use it. He likes to explore, okay? Kissing isn’t just a mouth to mouth thing. His mouth will go anywhere it’s allowed to, sucking the salt from his partner’s skin and leaving dark marks in his wake. His hands follow suit; if he’s allowed to explore, to touch and tease, he will. With Chuck, a kiss is never innocent, and it’s rarely just a kiss.

L   :   LOVE.   who does your muse love?

He loves his friends more than anything; he loves his pets; he loves memories of people who are no longer with him. The circle around Chuck’s heart of small but very tight, and he loves anyone who makes it inside deeply.

M   :   MOONLIGHT.   is morning or night a more romantic setting?

He would absolutely be a morning person, if only he could manage to wake up whenever he set an alarm clock. Unfortunately...  sleep is a beautiful, beautiful thing, and his body demands it.

N   :   NAUGHTY.   what is your muse like in bed?

Again  ---  his tongue! It’s a magical thing! Chuck is a very physical lover, and has a fascination with sensations  ---  how senses come in to play in sex, how they can be manipulated, be deprived, things like that. He’s willing to get experimental with candle wax, ice cubes, blindfolds...  it all gives him a certain thrill. More than anything, he want to be able to touch his partner, to match their rhythm with his own; he loves the sound of their breathing, growing more and more ragged as he drives them towards the edge...  only to pull back at the last moment, leaving them desperate for more. Oh yes, he’s a tease. Chuck prefers to stretch it out, never one for a quickie. He explores his partner’s body, experimentally probing what gets the best reactions out of them, and manipulating that. He craves that reaction, all the gasps and whimpers he can draw out of a partner. That, more than anything else, drives him to his own edge.

Chuck’s not the most verbose guy. He says a lot more with his face, with his actions, than he does with words...  but when he’s in the proper mood, he can get a group of friends laughing without any problems.

P   :   PARTNER.   what does your muse look for in a partner? looks / personality?

At this point, Chuck has accepted that he has a type, and that type is “impulsive idiots”...   but he’d like someone who’s at least smart about it. Someone he can trust not to burn the apartment down while he’s out  ---  someone he can depend on overall, who he knows will always have his back. The ability to cook is a huge bonus; he’d like someone thoughtful, who can engage in intellectual conversation without crossing that thin line to arguing  (or devolving into full Webster-esque pretentiousness). Physically, he falls in love with lips first. Expressive lips, plump lips, ones that purse and shine and seem to demand to be kissed...  yes, please.

Q   :   QUESTION.   would your muse ask the big question or expect their partner to?

Hmm...  refer to the ‘WEDDING’ question below for this one. Chuck would really want to discuss it first; for him, a proposal would be a conversation, not a do-or-die moment. His partner would probably have to bring it up.

R   :   ROMANCE.   is your muse a romantic or a cynic?

He’s...  probably more on the cynical side? Which isn’t to say he can’t be romantic when he applies himself, but...  he approaches relationships practically, isn’t one for grand gestures, and is baffled by the whole “rose petals and candlelit dinners” approach to love. If romantic moments happen naturally, Chuck absolutely relishes them, because that’s the purest part about being in love, but he won’t go out of his way to create them.

S   :   SWEETHEART.   did your muse have a childhood sweetheart?

He had a sheepdog. He loved his sheepdog. Her name was Molly and she was the love of his life.

T   :   TRUE LOVE.   does your muse believe in true love?

Distinctly not. Love is love, and it’s always a risk. Nothing about it is preordained, and it’s not guaranteed to have a happy ending.

U   :   UNREQUITED.   has your muse had their heart broken?

Nah. He’s too careful for that. Chuck hasn’t gotten invested in many committed romantic relationships, so the opportunity’s never been there.

V   :   VALENTINE.   how does your muse feel about valentine’s day?

He’s not against it, but here’s his thing:  what’s the point of Valentine’s Day? If he can’t make his partner feel special the rest of the year round, he’s clearly doing something wrong.

W  :   WEDDING.   would your muse get married? why / why not?

He’s... ambivalent towards it, frankly. Not that he’s opposed to the idea, but he’s just seen a lot of marriages end badly, he knows how it goes, and has no interest of going through the same ordeal himself. If Chuck is going to get married, he’ll have to be in a very long-term, committed relationship, and the idea will have to be discussed extensively in advance. If he doesn’t know exactly what he’s getting into, he’s not on board.

X   :   XOXO.   does your muse use / like pet names?

Not a big pet-name guy  (his aunts used to have so many for him when he was little, he vowed never to nickname anyone else)  but a well-timed “darling” for a lover can work wonders.

Y   :   YOURS.   does your muse get protective easily?

He has a very strong protective streak, which doesn’t rear its head often...   but when Chuck cares for someone, he’ll go to bat whenever necessary. He’s responsible about it, of course; he won’t pick a fight, simply send whoever’s making his loved one uncomfortable the patented Chuck Grant Deathglare, and make his presence quietly known until they take the hint.

Okay, please tell me about that og story of yours!!!

aslkdfjlkash ok ok OKAY so the basic premise is this-

so it’s the beginning of ww2, right? okay, and these two siblings (Phillip & Rosatella Bonatti) have just arrived in america illegally bc they were n o t happy about what was going on with the whole “mussolini in power” thing

so they get to america and rosatella (who’s a closeted lesbian btw) decides to get married to this man who’s named robert hall (he, too, an arguably closeted gay man). and they hit it off and become best friends, tell each other their secrets, ect ect. however. HOWEVER. the day of the wedding comes and phillip meets our good ol’ robbie and oops they fall in love (also rosatella falls in love with robbie’s best friend Mary but it becomes more important later on dw)

and things sort of spiral from there. also here are some fun facts that are actually basically the whole story but shhh

robbie creates his own radio show (named Hall Radio, in fact, which is also the name of the story) with which he entertains adults and children alike, becomes a very beloved figure in the public eye, and gets in trouble a lot trying to cover up the real story behind it (the real story being that it’s actually written and created by people that were not, in fact, beloved by the public (so like queer people, poc, ect ect)

also he creates the radio show bc he wants to keep people happy during the war, and, most of all, help himself get through the times in which phillip is away

phillip is actually in the army (although he was forced into it and didn’t actually want to go because he doesn’t want to kill people like???) and so he’s away a lot and so he and robbie write each other letters upon letters upon letters. by the end of the war they must’ve written like hundreds

the whole story is meant to be told through said letters, transcripts of robbie’s radio show, personal journal entries of the characters, and phillip’s own takes/notes on the story (as the idea would be he decides to collect all the letters, journal entries, ect to tell the story through his own eyes) (yes this whole thing is inspired by that one story of the two soldiers in ww2 that fell in love and wrote hundreds of letter to each other) (which i’m hoping isn’t disrespectful but also idk???? is it disrespectful if i’m queer too?? and if the story isn’t really similar at all?? anyway)

also robbie is so. nice. to everyone he meets. he takes every single person that works for him or comes to him for help under his wing because he knows EXACTLY what it’s like to feel what these people are feeling

other characters whom i love very dearly: giustino & giuseppe (twins that are friends of phillip’s and are fighting in the resistance back in italy), Ray (a black man who’s Sick Of This Bullshit and decides to go write with robert for Hall Radio until he, too, is forced into the army and there’s a rly heartbreaking scene where he and robbie say goodbye and robbie is all like “take care of yourself kid, don’t get hurt out there” and ray is just like “i’ll try my best” and jUST ALSKDFJALSKD i love them SO MUCH

also theodore, a trans man who works with robbie and helps get him the stories he needs, even taking stories from his own personal experiences (with the whole “being jewish and emigrating from england to america when things start getting b a d” thing)

and there’s So Many more whom i love so much and just asdlfhasjdkl i would die for them. i know they’re my own characters but i WOULD and that’s a fact

also one last thing- i have a dream that one day i’ll be able to turn this story into a tv show where the seasons aren’t acually divded by seasons but by what year in the timeline of the story it is, and the episodes are actually just titled by the date in which the letter they’re based on is written (so like the ep titled “19 december, 1941″ would show what’s going on during that part of the story)

also spoiler at the end we find out that this whole shabang was actually a research put together by a group of historians who were given a box containing the letters, transcriptions, journal entries, and personal stories anonymously before finding out they were actually donated to the museum by robbie’s granddaughter (who’s mother wasn’t actually robbie’s biological kid, but rather an orphaned kid he and rosatella ended up adopting and raising with the whole Gang after the war is over)

and there’s the lore ig??? hope u enjoyed this wild ride and honestly??? i could go on for HOURS about these characters and specific scenes and quotes i have in mind and just asdlkfhasjkdjljkl
