ᯓ★ i’ve been writing and revising a literary horror book called the lambs, screaming for a couple years now. there’s a lot of religious imagery, body horror, vague supernatural/eldritch fuckery, and a complex homoerotic friendship between two despicable, grieving girls casey and bethan.

ᯓ★ i have been intermittently writing and planning out two full-length novels based on unpublished short stories of mine. the first is a modular novel following multiple people’s lives as they are impacted by an alien invasion except the aliens aren’t here to invade, they’re here to learn. the second is another literary speculative fiction following two main characters: a young neanderthal woman that has been jurassic park’d by a lab in northern california (this is a real thing scientists are trying to do btw), and one of the female anthropologists that contributed to this experiment. i refer to this project as unironically planet of the apes for phoebe bridgers enjoyers.

ᯓ★ i am a history and anthropology student with a minor in creative writing, and i am almost always at the mercy of a research paper deadline or two. my interests are medical history in ciudad de mexico, indigenous andean gender systems, historical epidemiology, and paleopathology (my one true love). i firmly believe in decolonizing anthropology and making academic anthropological writing more accessible.

ᯓ★ besides writing, i love horror, david cronenberg movies, joni mitchell, the x files, the locked tomb, baldur’s gate 3, any media with substantial body horror, playing video games, and reading when i get the chance. my favorite movies include: the fly, longlegs, humanist vampire seeking consenso ring suicidal person, sucker punch, little miss sunshine, dinner in america, and a girl walks home alone at night. my favorite book of all time is patrícia melo’s the simple art of killing a woman. i am also a massive fan of julia armfield, carmen maria machado, and steven graham jones.

Learn to appreciate your own work:

You will never know how to accept a compliment from someone else if you cannot see the merits in your own work. You have to learn to love your work yourself first, independent from everyone else’s opinion, before you try to garner approval from them. So how do you go about this? Reread your work and try to find your favourite parts: What is a line you really enjoyed writing? DId you enjoy reading it just as much as you intended for the reader to enjoy it? Did any other lines catch your eye that, during the writing process, you didn’t even realize were so profound or impactful? What about the characters? Whose your favourite? Who makes you laugh the most? Who would you most likely be friends with? Whose very presence in a scene makes you want to commit a felony? By finding the components of your writing that evoke an emotional response from you, you allow yourself to be emotionally impacted– and by extension (hopefully) emotionally attached– to your work. Find the gems in your writing that make your book the favourite on your future shelf. Art and Moodboards! Create art (doodles, sketches, paintings) for your ocs, certain scenes in your books, settings, landscapes, aesthetics, outfits, or all of the above! Moodboards using Pinterest and Shuffle also help if you don’t want to draw, or commissions from artists. Lowkey, I’d be down to open commissions for oc artwork in the writeblr community, but idk i’m just throwing stuff out there. The point is, plenty of artists and writers offer their services to draw, or you can take up the skill yourself and give it a shot! The point of this is to get yourself excited for your writing. Why? That brings me to my next point. Treat your book like it’s already published with an established fandom, and you’re its biggest fan? What kind of fan behaviour are you engaging in? Headcanons? Incorrect quotes? Character edits? Song designation to certain scenes or ocs? Fanfics of fluff scenes? Guess what, chief? You’re the author. Not only do you get to do all that stuff, but it gets to be canon if you want it to be. Or, you can be like me and gatekeep an entire wiki page in your Notion/the drafts for no one to see unless they beg for it. It’s your perogative. But be your biggest fan until someone else comes along, recognizes your passion, and challenges you for that title.

Share your work, and your reactions to your work:

Everything we just did in tip one, I want you to go ahead and share it on your writeblr. Let the community see how much you care about this project of yours. The parts that make you cry; the parts that wrench your heart out,; the parts that were so cinematically aesthetic, you just HAD to draw it. Let the community see not only the fruits of your labour, but the ones you found sweet enough to call nectar. Let them feast on that ambrosia and join the fandom.

Accept feedback graciously:

It’s never easy getting criticism on your work. Whether its positive or negative feedback, the most important thing to do is not react to it defensively. Instead, thank the person who took time out of their day to try and help you fine-tune your craft by giving you tips to improve it. Then, reflect on the feedback and how it aligns or misaligns with your vision. Is this feedback derailing the intentions you have as a creator? If so, how do you try to incorporate the advice so that you are able to stay true to your vision and represent it in a way that allows readers to appreciate it the same way you do.

The most important part of receiving feedback is being open to it. If you close yourself off to changing your work or others’ opinions, you are limiting your potential for growth. Assume the best of intentions from people who comment on your work, and take it with a grain of salt when applying it to your project. Ultimately, you know your project best, but the community will try to help you enhance your work to make it better. The best thing you can do for the trajectory of your writing career is take what they say– not to heart, but to the mind for further reflection.

I genuinely don’t know how this turned into a toolbox post LMAO. I had another post in queue today, but I saw this reblog and had to respond. If you guys have any additional tips, comment below! It’s always a join to help the community out, since I know how much we all deal with this.

Obviously, since I made the og post, I deal with it too. But these tips are what help me trust myself and my writing, and affirm to myself that no matter how undeserving I feel of praise, my book is good enough. And most importantly, I enjoy it.

Ongoing Projects

Loyalty is deadly. Defiance is death. Survival has a price.

Genre: Dystopian Sci-Fi Themes: Child Assassins, rebellion, memory and identity, Found Family Status: Finished (currently writing the next book of this trilogy)

May-05 was trained for war, stripped of identity. Obedience was her only survival tactic, until now. As cracks appear in the Facility’s control, she begins to question what it means to fight, to choose, to live.

A team of runaways, superpowered teens, find each other while fleeing a brutal organization. They’re not heroes. Just scared kids clinging to each other in a world that wants them dead. This is the story of how they survive…and maybe become something more.

(Also this was called Defenders but I had to change the name because Marvel has copyrights and I didn't know they had a team named Defenders.)

Ariadna started it. Addison got dragged along. Penelope knows more than she lets on.

They were told a story. A lie, really, born from panic and stitched together with fear. Now, trapped in the deepening dark, three teens unravel secrets they were never meant to know. Secrets of gouged eyes, rotting corpses, nightmares, madness, and blood-bound bargains for borrowed time. Some truths don’t get unearthed…they drown you.

(I actually very recently changed the name of the characters in this wip so any old post you see will have their old names.)

Hi! I'm Jasper, in the mire of my 30s, I use they/them, and this is my new writeblr!

I mainly write fantasy and gothic fiction but I also dip my toe into science-fantasy every now and again. Most of what I write is Teen appropriate, but all of my fiction is for Adults and I will occasionally dip into 18+ territory, so this is a warning to Minors that this might not be the space for you.

The Postmaster's Apprentice

A high fantasy tale of a postie trying desperately to deliver a letter, but forced to have adventures along the way. It has tree nymph elves, stone folk made of real stone, trolls with trade unions, mushroom forests, mountain vampires, giant ghosts, shipwrecks, and more! [wip intro]

Burning Branches, Golden Trees

A science-fantasy, espionage space opera loosely based on the fairy tale Gold-Tree and Silver-Tree, wherein our heroine Belin enters an arranged marriage, tasked by her boss to discover whether or not her new husband is a traitor, and if not, to uncover the truth of the strange happenings on Palatinate-709. It has far-off planets, space KGB, telepathic eugenicists, spycraft, giant snails, queer polyamory, and more! [wip intro]

Winter Winds

A dark fantasy story about a travelling cursebreaker called Nightjar, her wife Siskin, her children Finch and Pipit, and the consequences of getting involved in disputes between gods. The first part of the story follows Nightjar as she fights to keep her family safe battling monsters with alchemy, and uncovering godly conspiracies. The second part follows Pipit as she learns about her place in the world, and how her mother's monsters and her father's gods are sometimes one and the same. [wip intro]

...about hello again!! allow me to re-introduce myself. my name is grace, pen name nicole blue! whatever name you decide to associate me with, i'm still the same 21 year old pink haired caffeine drinking writer with a passion for all things strange, spicy and queer :) i've been writing over ten plus years and have finally found the courage to embrace my interests and be who i want to be as a future published author. so join me on my adventure of self-discovery and chaos!!! ...my writing my favorites are almost always changing, but i mainly enjoy writing/reading queer fantasy fiction. my goal is to get a little more spicy and mature with my work rather than stay in my comfort zone built up of young adult content. i tend to stick to mm and ff romances and don't intend to branch much farther out than that, but i will always stay diverse in regards to sexuality, race, gender, etc. there is no place for bigotry in my stories ever!!!! almost all of my stories will be created with the intention of representing the parts of life that a lot of people don't talk about. that includes mental and physical health. there is nothing more that i want than for my readers to relate to my writing and my characters, even if it's just one small thing. some of my favorite tropes and random things in stories are enemies to lovers, hurt/comfort, angst, fantasy creatures and monsters (especially fae!!), actual witchcraft/pagan rules and beliefs implemented into magic concepts, overly detailed descriptions, and sooo much more. this is a lot of stuff that will be a common theme in my stories and blog!! i also enjoy writing reviews from time to time, so i'll be posting those around here too. ((most of my writing will probably contain with darker themes and angst, so i will always leave detailed trigger warnings beforehand and of course advise readers to be 18+))

Writeblr Reintro

I would say I’m back but I’m really not. I’ve got important exams that will help me get into schools so I can do more important exams, maybe even more important than the first, so I can eventually do the most important exam and go to uni. Truly a win for the education system!

In the 6 months I’ve been dead I restarted my WIP, restarted my conlang, changed my naming conventions (and a whole lot of worldbuilding to boot) and subsequently renamed all my OCs. Go productivity?

I will be upfront in that I am a tried-and-true pantster and nothing will ever change that, so 99% of the time my stories change a lot from what they start as. But I do have some WIPs that are in varying degree of draft-hood!

WIP 1 🩵🇯🇲✨ My current baby right now lol. It’s basically a historical fiction with magical realism and Jamaican cultural elements. Imagine Encanto but Jamaican lol. Most of the story is set in the 1950s between the U.S. and Jamaica but parts include flashbacks to early 20th cent. Jamaica. It obviously deals with a lot of real-world issues of the time BUT it also includes romance, slice-of-life, and just coziness to break up real-world struggles!

WIP 2 🩵🤰🏼🤰🏾🍼🕰️ The emojis for this one are crazy 😭 But basically it’s another historical fiction story set in the 1950s (that time period for some really weird reason ends up in a lot of my stories 😭) It’s inspired off of those “unwed mothers” homes that were prevalent back then and just how the conditions were really horrible for single mothers/teen mothers.

WIP 3 🩵🧚‍♀️⛰️ Haven’t really started writing this one yet, but the best way to describe it is an adventure story with the main characters being fairies in a fantasy yet still “post-apocalyptic” world. It will make more sense once I actually start working on it 😭

I have one work that has been published (it’s just blurbs in a collection of short stories from students I tutor). I have 2 WIPs that I hope to get traditionally published.

One is a fantasy about a witch whose whole worldview is changed when she is sent to a magic school and discovers a spirit (I mostly work on and post about this one).

The other is a mystery about a Black college student whose girlfriend goes missing and takes on the responsibility of finding her when the police don't.

More about me

I'm currently in college and I'm an intern at a nonprofit that tutors kids with writing and publishes their stories. I absolutely love working there!

My favorite book genre is fantasy but I read my fair share of sci-fi, mystery, and fiction. I especially like fiction stories centered around the Black experience like Caucasia by Danzy Senna and Black Cake by Charmaine Wilkerson.

My most listened to music genres are alt/alt rock, vocaloid, hip hop, and pop from before 2019, but sometimes I just listen to something random like French music or classical.

I'm also very bisexual, even though I've never dated anyone :(

HI! I’m Crow, I like writing sometimes & wanna post about how I write sometimes. To do that I gotta have a place where people can have summaries of my too many projects. So, here

Most of my projects (except for War & Wings) take place in Cievia, a high fantasy world that I’ve been working on for 5 years now and love immensely.

Novels

The Wanderer’s Guide

A somewhat academic-style, whimsical story of two best friends accidentally creating the first ever encyclopedia (and leading a decrepit world into a new golden age).

It’s a platonic love story as these two idiots (affectionate) travel the world together, gaining a comprehensive understanding of demonology, metaphysics, and the structure of the universe while on their roadtrip to go everywhere and experience everything in the world. That roadtrip just ends up longer than expected when they keep unintentionally helping wayward gods. And being the only witnesses to the death of the King of Heaven. And then fixing heavenly bureaucracy. And getting into underworld legal drama. And making a child from scratch to repopulate humanity. Y’know, usual roadtrip things.

A lot happens when a cartographer/scholar and a wilderness guide decide to be best friends, okay?

Wanderer’s Guide will be a multi-book series that sees everything in Ceivia in its lowest state. Zipping Dragonfly (cartographer & scholar) and Cal Ipse (wilderness guide) go through Heaven, the Mortal Plane, and the various afterlives out of a youthful desire to see the world, and it’s their need to help the people & gods they encounter that makes the world start to slowly recover. It’s a very domestic and hopeful story and it’s easily my biggest project.

Themes on what the different kinds of love look like & how they often overlap, the ability or lack thereof to feel an emotion doesn’t make you evil, learn from history or be doomed to repeat it, it’s never too late to try to get/be better, evil is a matter of perspective, and organizations can and should change with changing times.

[To Adapt]

A sort of side-sequel to Wanderer’s Guide? It follows the stories of two side characters as they reconnect and start traveling together.

It takes the perspective of Isal, a former major god who was out for the count for a solid two eras and is now back with no family left, his people barely remembering him, and without most of his power. Isal, when brought back, is greeted & taken care of by Lutt, a major enemy of his back in the day. Lutt has fallen from grace too; the civilization that worshiped him is gone. Lutt, once the god of rulership and an advisor to kings, is now the god of stories & wandering minstrels with almost no worshipers at all. The story follows the two as Isal relearns how to be a nobody, and tries to figure out a new domain for himself.

It’s borderline a philosophical dialogue, with the two constantly debating with each other. The big question is about betrayal. Isal used to (and might still) be the god of betrayal, so he has opinions about it. Lutt thinks it’s a neutral thing, whether it’s good or bad is determined by who you’re doing it to, and some forms of betrayal are the right thing to do no matter who you’re doing it to. Isal thinks that it is awful in all forms. Betrayal can be justified or necessary, but it is always morally wrong.

Lots of grappling with immorality and what it means, how you handle outliving people you love, and what to do if it all gets dull or tired.

Empire of Nixarian

This one is about the slow expansion of an empire on a very cold continent, told from the perspectives of the emperor, the emperor’s advisor(and lover), a runaway slave from a neighboring kingdom, and a small group of soldiers at the front line. It takes inspiration from the reigns of Qin Shi Huang and Wu Zetian.

The perspective of the emperor deals with internal workings and politics of the palace, as well as his dubious sanity. The emperor’s advisor has a lot of focus on the politics of the demons and spirits of the frozen landscape, ensuring the safety of his emperor, and managing his own demonic nature. The ex-slave’s story focuses on the magic system as she learns it and uses it to maintain her freedom. The soldiers’ story shows the horrors of the front line & the love of found family, used as contrast to the goings on of the palace.

Themes of how mental illness doesn’t make you a bad person, who the ‘hero’ of a story is is subjective, the nature of family & romantic relationships, and whether trying to live up to a legacy is worth it.

Web Comics

War and Wings

War & Wings is a story meant to play with the stereotypes & tropes of Fae King x Spunky Peasant Woman romances.

It’s a political drama & romance between a former nobleman and a fae queen.

A nobleman, named Ivan, was taught levitation magic by his sister (before she left) as a child (only women are allowed to learn magic). He wanted to spend his days in archery, romance novels, and practicing magic in secret, but he had to get married to secure the family line. He delayed marriage as long as possible, and when he couldn’t delay it anymore at home he joined the army as an archer.

At the border of the fae lands, [Queenie] has united all the clans of her people under one banner. She is leading them to conquest into human territories to have a place for her own people away from the constant threat of dragons and other great beasts. She has conquered a decent chunk of human territory, and is in the process of renovating a crumbling fort into a palace city complex.

While at war, Ivan and others are captured by [Queenie]. Ivan is picked out to be a palace servant. Plot ensues as Ivan finds he actually enjoys being a servant and the power he wields by influencing other servants and blackmail.

[Queenie] ends up finding out about his skill with levitation & the power he wields as a servant. She makes a deal with him. He will be her personal servant (a position of safety), and he will turn his network of servants into a network of spies for her. He agrees. Romance spirals from there.

I enjoy this one a lot since the story is kind of a story of villains? [Queenie] and her flying menace of a lover Alfe (Ivan starts calling himself Alfe) are very antagonistic to very hero-coded adventurers who are trying to stop them from continuing their conquest.

Medium To Be Determined

[Wandering House]

This one is mostly just vibes right now. Inspirations from Howl’s Moving Castle, the Kidnapping of Persephone, and Baba Yaga.

A traveler is lost in a blizzard when he finds a manor. He breaks in and makes himself warm by the fireplace. At some point he eats food there. He looks for people but he can’t find any, but things keep getting fixed up and arranged like servants are working around the manor. At some point the traveler meets the master of the manor, who is determined to keep him there for some reason, probably loneliness. The master of the manor is up to some spooky shit and the traveler goes “Nope” and tries to leave. He can’t, doors won’t open and when he finally breaks a window to leave he ends up back at the manor anyway.

He does manage to get away at some point, and manages to stay away for a while by actively dodging the place no matter how often it appears on the road. He gets forced back eventually.

[Protect the Heir]

I have a better grasp on this one.

A snake demon & an enchanted soldier are desperate to protect the last surviving heir to the royal family until she reaches maturity.

The guard has been through many surgeries, removing his bones to be placed in weapons so that he’ll be able to control them with his mind. So many bones have been removed that he’s missing an arm, his feet are mostly metal, the remaining arm is in shreds, and his jaw got replaced with metal so he can’t speak. He is the princess’s protector and the only person she has other than her godmother, the snake demon. The guard is an older brother to the little princess; she adores him.

Revolutionaries think that the demon and guard are manipulating the princess, or are going to puppeteer her, or otherwise hurt her so they kidnap her. The snake demon stays behind as regent to keep the place running, the guard goes to steal the princess back.

This one will probably be a comic but I haven’t decided yet.

Hi, my name is Caitlin, and I’m a third year Creative Writing student in rainy England. I’ve got a couple WIPs but none are set in stone so you’ll have to bear with me for a while haha.

- I’m here for a good time so my writing is solely based on my mood and vibe at the time, please do not expect consistency.

IF I GIVE UP, SO MUST YOU - a Wild West literary fiction novel

Okay, so a bit of info about this project. I started writing it a bit ago purely because I wanted to write a Wild West novel and then it turned sapphic and then it became literary. It follows an unnamed narrator as she navigates life outside of her small town after she is targeted by bandits in a raid. A coming of age novel that explores what it means to figure things out for yourself whilst battling with false truths engrained into your from a young age.

NIGHT SWIMMING (working title) - a short story collection

This collection is my version of NaNoWriMo this year because there is no way I can feasibly write a novel in a month where I also have to write my dissertation first draft and three other short stories like no. I’m hoping to do an update on my page whenever a story is complete, so I will also update this section to include the names of all the stories going in. Stay posted is all I’m saying ;). All I know is I want it to explore the everyday in a surrealist way (as most of my stories do).

DAMAGED GOODS - a dystopian sci-fi novel

So, I haven’t done an intro post to this yet simply because I had to put it to one side once university started again. A brief summary is this: Auden, an average guy, husband, and father, has gotten into a dreadful car accident. In this society, however, surgery is replaced with metal transplantation. Due to Auden’s extensive injuries, he now must live in suburbia with a completely metal head, arm, and leg.

I’m super happy with this concept and the initial 2,000 words I’ve got I’m pretty okay with. The main issue is where to take it and if it will be a full novel or more of a novella.

EAT YOUR YOUNG - a gothic horror novella

I haven’t done an intro for this project because I honestly wasn’t sure I’d return to it but the spooky season is upon us and I really want to get back into writing this. Brief Summary: Mr Gerard is an accountant hired by the Heron Manor estate to deal with the affairs of the three sisters residing there after a mysterious death of the man of the house.

This is going to me my main personal priority other than my short stories for now and I’ll try to get an intro out soon.

Hi everybody! I’m MK, he/they/xe, and I don’t want to share exactly how old I am but I’m over 20.

I write work that teeters on the edge between classic fiction and straight-up whump, generally fantasy with a bit of sci-fi. I write a mixture of original work and fanfiction, mostly for Magic: the Gathering. One of my WIPs, The Pirates’ Roost, is currently on Ao3 (link below).

I tend to write work that isn’t appropriate for younger people (minors please block the “18+ content” tag), and often discusses and shows abuse, both physical, emotional, and sexual. There are frequent depictions of trauma and mental illness. Please avoid my work or ask me clarifying questions if you want to avoid any of that, and please let me know if you’d like me to content warning tag anything! I try to get the big ones, but I’m happy to tag almost anything if you let me know.

The Seven Station Chronicles:

My main active WIP - it’s currently being rewritten because I’m changing the protagonist. It’s original fiction and a space fantasy political drama of sorts. It tells the story of seven space stations ripped from their planet long ago and now floating in the void of space, primarily through the stories of Belladonna, a young noblewoman with the world on her shoulders, and Cassie, an escapee clone with a grudge and a dream. I currently have four books, plus a prequel and some shorts, planned. To Kill a Dead Thing:

This one’s back on hiatus at the moment. It’s a Magic: The Gathering fanfiction and it’s loosely a sequel to my finished fic, but you can read one without the other. It tells the story of Alexi, an elvish parole officer at the end of her tether with a mysterious figure that seems determined to break her to pieces, her human friend Andreia who’s desperate to help and hold her falling-apart office together while she’s at it, and the people they pull into their orbit trying to fix things. It doesn’t have an intro post at the moment, but its tag is #to kill a dead thing.

The Pirates’ Roost:

Told in a periodically-written series of nonlinear short stories, The Pirates’ Roost is an MTG fanfic, mostly unrelated to the others. It tells the story of a group of abused pirates escaping their abusers and recovering from trauma, primarily through the story of a young man’s ascent from the groomed plaything of a violent captain to the captain of the most successful ship on the sea. what do i write?

❂ many of my works are religiously inspired or have religious themes. yes i used to be catholic. yes it sucked. now i tear down those systems which took advantage of me in my works.

❂ i still don't write yucky relationship dynamics, especially now that i realized that I DID. but, i do write women who stand up for themselves, i write girls who discover that they deserve kind lovers, and i write men who aren't incompetent when it comes to the women they love. and being queer and dating a queer person, i write healthy wlw, mlm, and nonbinary inclusive relationships.

❂ i love complex characters. i love main characters who do awful, terrible things that are justified by the outcome. I love antagonists who fight against the protagonist because they've only seen the terrible means. and i love haunted characters who are stuck in cycles of evil which they see no way out of.

Hello! I am a 18 year old Ukrainian-American writer who is coming back to running this blog. My pen name keeps changing but currently I'm going by the pen name "Vasyl Veles" on here, Vas for short.

My original posts are tagged as "#vas's posts". Most of my reblogs are queued. I am open to and love participating in tag and ask games!

I tend to write in the horror, sci-fi, and dark fantasy genres. I am a big fan of using dark aspects of fiction to explore intellectual themes, and enjoy writing a lot about nature, science, and queer experiences. I also loveee speculative biology. I write both short stories and novels, and am not yet published (but currently submitting stories to some writing competitions, wish me luck!).

Other than writing, I am also a big fan of goth, industrial, and metal music, and am passionate about science and mathematics. I also greatly enjoy DIY and art, and hope to post some of those projects on here in addition to writing.

From a carnivorous house to a body swap, this is a collection of stories about the grotesque architecture of both buildings and bodies.

My two favorite stories:

The Diorama: A man is haunted by his deceased mother's plan for him to continue her career as an architect. An allegory for how parents push their own dreams onto their children, but through body horror.

The House of Famish: A woman moves into her ancestral home with her wife, and soon discovers her wife doesn't have what it takes to care for the house. An allegory for how toxic family traditions can become ingrained in people.

Part Two: Alterhuman Community Intro…?

This post will continue to be edited as necessary. This post is no longer our active bio and I've removed it from our pinned post because I don't update it anymore; we now have a full page on our blog for it rather than a post

So I just posted my writeblr intro and since I’m definitely more active in the alterhuman community than the writeblr community I thought it might be fun to have a nonhuman/plural intro? Might be fun and it also occurred to me/us that most of our followers really only know me since I’m the only occupant of the body itself, and don’t know anything about the rest of the system. I will probably delete this someday if I decide once again I don’t like having my ‘types public depending on if the brainmates want to keep their own bios up. It will also probably change a lot because we tend to do that.

Context. We are a non-dissociative system, we do not switch, we were dæmonic originally meaning that I am the body and communicate with them through faux-visual projection and mental speech (which is why I talk like we're a total found family when they never seem to even say anything -- trust me they do, they just don't have access to the keyboard). We/they consider them all to have separate external bodies. We are quoigenic, not traumagenic or endogenic or mixed origins, only refer to us as the former.

Swift

He/it (they/them only under certain circumstances), bisexual, binary male* but only humans are ever men. I use quoi- ahead of all labels (both queer and alterhuman) in addition. POSIC, mildly objectum/conceptum. I have special interests in: biology, the arts, and the change of technology/art/language/media over time and throughout history (example: history of computer graphics 1950s-1990s <3). Psychospiritual, philosophical and narrative alterhuman. Species-wise: I am a common raven (Corvus corax ssp. principalis), an osprey (Pandion haliaetus ssp. carolinensis), a red-tailed hawk (Buteo jamiacensis (ssp. fuertesi?)), common spotted cuscus (Spilocuscus maculatus), sea slater (Ligia exotica), mosasaur (Mosasaurus sp.), and lastly, Musteloidea sub-superfamily cladotherian (procyonids, ailurids, and mustelids). I’m a Novakid, a species from the game Starbound, which I consider more of a fictional kintype than a fictotype (I prefer alienkin or just otherkin over fictionkin for this ‘type). I am also a computer, specifically an IBM 7090. I also consider myself a kind of entity or manifestation of autumn, I’d just call it “conceptkin with extra steps,” the extra steps being conceptual embodiment in a sort of cryptidlike sleep paralysis shadow-man monster. I am questioning: a stomiiforme (viperfish, bristlemouth or dragonfish) theriotype, a house centipede theriotype, a Nectocaris pteryx theriotype, and my relationship to solar eclipses (conceptkin, symbolism stemming from interacts between other kintypes, both, or something else?) I was a ghost. Now I’m not. It was not a kintype and I did not “deconfirm” it. This affects some things. I am a flickerer with two fictotypes (Link from The Legend of Zelda, every canon game, and the Knight from Hollow Knight). I have three heartedtypes (domestic cats, cephalopods, and ghost type Pokemon) and two hearthomes (the ocean and O’Neill cylinders). I consider dragons, wolves and foxes to be paratypes. I have a profound quasi-religious connection to stars & the night sky that I consider at least marginally alterhuman in nature. I am an archetrope; wanderer, and secondarily a "shapeshifter" and "generalist" which I need better words for both of -- as they say language is like trying to nail down the ocean, and I guess it would be more accurate but less concise to describe them as "one who changes, embodies or becomes" and "one who adapts, branches out, survives or opportunizes." I’m Tetri, Swift’s dæmon. I CIE on November 11th, 2020. Pronouns are he/him. I’m comfortably settled as of February 21st, 2021, as an Asian palm civet. I’m Foxglove, otherwise known as Europa. She/her, if you must refer to me. I am a dragon of silver lineage. I have special interests in psychology, botany and mineralogy. I suppose I am autistic in the context of a physically human brain, but it is difficult to recontextualize that to the culture of a draconic biological worldview. Anser

Swift here again. Anser is a tricky one. She could and probably would write her own intro, but she’s complicated much like V’vohu and I’d rather explain it in my own words, because I’m not sure hers would be… not too vague. Anser is not fae, nor a kitsune, nor a Huli Jing or any other kind of specific fox myth, rather a fae-like fox spirit who seems to embody multiple fox and faerie mythologies. He originated as a spirit. Sort of. When he first appeared, he may well have been a literal spirit visitor, like V’vohu. But he left, possibly of his own accord, possibly something to do with V’vohu. This Anser is a different entity while being the same individual psychologically, fully formed by whatever mental process formed the other headmates excluding V’vohu, but still also fully psychologically a spirit. Literally the exact same individual in every way except not a literal outside spiritual visitor. He still fully believes in magic and is the most spiritual of all of us. It's complicated. Anyways, she usually appears as a red fox with or without various fantastical attributes, and sometimes as a statue. She/her and he/him only, not they/them. I believe she identifies as bigender or genderfluid, not sure which or if gender means the same thing to her at all that it does to earthly people. WRITEBLR INTRO

Hello from the voids of Fate! My name is Francis Ravel. I am a writer of every genre and style, and it is my personal goal to create so many tales that people begin to think I was divinely cursed to be mad or terrifyingly in control.

I have *backstory*, but if anything, it has made me absolutely set in my goal to change the world for the better. It is my sincerest wish to make art that will inspire those who have gone through similar things to persevere, and learn to love to live, so that one day I in turn will get to hear their story.

My current WIP, which will most likely be my main work for the next 20 years, is entitled Night Myths and Day Mares. Book one is available now, and Book two is well on its way to being completed.

I hope every writer, would be writer, hopeful writer, or person who wishes to one day put pen to paper will reach out. I can't wait to see the worlds you've created, and I hope you will allow me to give you a tour through my creations.
