My 47th birthday the happiest birthday ever…
Jesus is happiness and joy my companion always & forever. I am under His eyes and conservatorship. I am so under his almighty supernatural camera always. I give all I have to Him.
Jesus gave me the happiest birthday this year. I would love to thank you Jesus and share. God’s angels helped in making it a real nice birthday. Here is what some of the Lord’s helpers have done for me…
I got a $25 Panera bread gift card from someone anonymous wrapped in Christmas stationary. I was so grateful with tears in my eyes. I went to Panera Bread two different days with that gift card. Both days I got half a fuji apple salad with butternut squash soup and a free ice water. The cooks did a great job. It was delicious.
A week before my birthday my daughter treated me to Red Robbin. I got a Cobb Salad with Hawaiian chicken wing appetizer on my daughter & son in law from Red Robbin. My son in law was working there a manager as we were there and it was so nice. My daughter did a chore for me for my birthday and went through the pictures I gave her and picked some out to give me. It was a lot for her to carry in with the baby and all.
As I passed time to meet my daughter at Red Robbin I was with a cranberry juice and fresh warm bread at the Italian restaurant Cia Bella’s nextdoor to Red Robbin while I waited & had great convo with a good looking gentleman that was serving there. I got the Cia Bella’s free on the house. The worker was such a nice gentleman and gave me a great day. I want to go back and order food someday. The good warm bread and atmosphere never left me.
Then on my birthday my aunt my dad’s sister got me an Applebees combo appetizer on my aunt and a bunch of really neat gifts in a Mickey Mouse bag I can use for the library and more. I just loved it!! I do not see my aunt much and it was nice to catch up.
A few weeks before my birthday at black holiday my mother & father both gave me money & I got me 4 forever 21 velvet black pants, a forever 21 wooly black hat, and forever 21 brown furry earmuffs that match my hair. I have $20 left from them that I am putting towards what I thought a Wikipedia biography on me but I am just saving it just in case hoping I can get a Wikipedia biography made online. My mom sang happy birthday to me on my birthday. I loved it!
Then around my birthday my grandma & grandpa gave me some money & I got my ryze coffee and my Fashion Republic digital and print magazine I am in.
I am featured on the cover of Fashion Republic with an interview in 2023 December Special Edition of Fashion Republic magazine. I made it! It was the happiest birthday ever!! From Fashion Republic...
Some people made my day special. I got a special silver sneakers happy birthday video message in my email. My dentist also sent me a health and happiness birthday email. My eye doctor too sent me a happy birthday. I also received multiple real nice happy birthday wishes on Facebook. I got my happy birthday phone message from State Farm on my birthday the next day.
I also got a free large green tea latte with coconut milk as my Starbucks rewards free birthday drink from Starbucks
My sister and brother in law covered the charge to fix my ignition and key and did the work to get it fixed. I had broke my ignition bending my key trying to open my gas cap door with my key in the cold and the bent key ruined my ignition. I now carry a fork in my purse to open my gas cap. Lol! I hope to one day get me a flat head and phillips screwdriver. Saving… Pinching Pennie’s…
Panera bread also does birthday rewards. I got a free birthday pastry from Panera Bread. I chose the most delicious blueberry scone and they put tons of powder sugar on top that had me buzzing so high.😂
Then one of my mom’s sisters gave me cash and a bunch of Starbucks money. Another one sent me a bunch of money as a joint Christmas & birthday gift. I am putting the cash towards what I thought my wikipedia professional online bio but I am saving it for just in case instead & maybe I can get the Wikipedia bio online by Easter. I need to have Christmas for my family,
Well God is a good God and I am so ever thankful. He is my provider & I am so grateful.

dumping the horrendous unconventional short story I wrote for my midterm under the cut to get it off my mind bc I do not like it.
ENTRY 1
I think I will make my life’s motif a bird. It shouldn’t be too hard. They’re everywhere and pop out at the most opportune moments. I’ll find a way to tie them in.
ENTRY 2
Stood in line for way too long at the cafe. Can you believe the girl in front of me didn’t even look up to plan her order until she was physically at the front of the line? I knew what I wanted to order before I even stepped foot into the place. They need to change that. I’m on the lookout for some kind of online suggestion box to submit to since they decided to forgo an in-house one for some God forsaken reason. There’s not a lick of common sense in anyone these days. Saw a robin on my way out and flicked it a sesame seed from my bagel.
ENTRY 3
Would you listen to this garbage? They’re planning on tearing down my favorite bowling alley. “Didn’t pass inspection” my ass. It’s an important cultural landmark of our city and I’m marching down to the mayor to set him straight. I can’t stage important life moments around the cardinal themed bowling alley if there is no bowling alley to have a cardinal theme!
ENTRY 4
Mom’s in the hospital. Driving over now, she said it has something to do with her cholesterol. It either spiked or dropped real low, but I can’t be sure. Either way, she’s in the hospital. I don’t know why she chose the one that’s so far away though. The vending machines in the other one have way better stock.
ENTRY 5
Forgot to say. I didn’t run over any birds on the way there.
ENTRY 6
I don’t think I’m spiraling yet but I’m close to it. Mom’s fine, she’s just staying overnight in case anything acts up again. I, on the other hand, am NOT. Car won’t start and I’ve been sitting here in the parking lot for almost four hours now. Embarrassed beyond belief. A weird old man with a huge shiny truck offered to help and he’s been good on his word lending me his car to jump-start mine, but his bumper stickers make me nervous. His truck has custom lettering too. I’m a big guy, so not too worried, but a little concerned.
Anyway, it didn’t work and I’m calling a tow truck now. I tried to thank the guy and offered to buy him coffee, but he just said “No way, Jose” which was weird. He smacked the top of my car before he left and said I need to “dress this little lady up.” Maybe I’ll get a sparrow bumper sticker online. Everything’s online these days.
ENTRY 7
Starting to rethink the bird motif thing. Not much goes on in my life anyway, and there’s only so much material I can get out of waking up early to chirping. Maybe I should aim lower. I could choose a color instead. Red would be a cop-out, it’s too obvious. Blood! I need something that’s at least a little challenging. We’ll see. I’ll sleep on it.
ENTRY 8
GREAT NEWS! Sister got a BIRD. A real-life living breathing chirping flying bird. It’s a sign and I’m not going to ignore it. My life’s motif is a bird and it’s not going to be one of those unbearably hidden motifs from English class required readings either.
(Although I did like some of them. That spoon in Middlesex…… I want my bird to be his spoon. To take up space in an almost eerie way. I’ll find a way to make it work.)
ENTRY 9
Laying the groundwork. These things don’t come easy, so I’m sowing the seeds (birds do that, right?) Told everyone at work that my great great great grandfather’s name was Starling. Drilled up a lot of curious questions and I even got to know some of the people I always just miss talking to. They were all VERY interested. Tomorrow I’ll bring in a picture of an actual starling. I don’t think Andrew quite knows that it’s a kind of bird.
ENTRY 10
Don’t remember the name my sister chose and I couldn’t remember if I tried even if I squeezed my eyes shut before blinking really fast like I usually do because this bird (Polly I’m going to call it Polly because an annoying bird deserves an annoying name) is so incessantly annoyingly unbearably loud. I can’t believe this thing is my sign.
My sign is chirping me into the basement and into a frenzy. At least I have my old sleeping bag handy until I can figure out how to shut it up. Why must my motif be so unbearably annoying?
ENTRY 11
Update on the car: starter wires snapped. Haven’t seen any birds around lately (except for a crow but I hate crows and I won’t be counting them) so I was hopeful and asked the mechanic if there’s any chance a bird could’ve pecked at the wires until they got so worn down that they snapped in the hospital parking lot.
He looked at me like I was crazy. I know that was what the look meant because he said, “Are you f****ing crazy man? The wires are deep in your car under the hood.” (I’m censoring the language. I don’t want language taking away from my story. If this is to be read in a future child’s English class to teach a lesson about motifs, I can’t be including foul language.)
I’m not f***ing crazy but I am extremely ticked off. Does he not realize how little birds come out in the cold weather? I need whatever I can get.
I’ll just tell people a bird got stuck under the hood of my car. I’ll change this entry later. Mechanic man doesn’t deserve a spot in a child’s English class; he didn’t even have the decency to watch his language for them.
ENTRY 12
People at work are finally starting to catch on! Got called “bird guy” by Kathleen (Catherine? Kristy? Whatever.) when she saw my shirt. I knew it’d be a good move when I saw it on sale at Walmart. I’m thinking of making the cover of my book Hawaiian print, but I’ll tell my future publisher I’m not married to the idea. Can’t be too picky on my first book! I’ll leave that for the second.
ENTRY 13
I will enjoy my day today I will enjoy my day today I will enjoy my day. Sister needs to get control of Polly. I’ve moved down my whole mattress now. I will enjoy my day I will enjoy my day I will enjoy
ENTRY 14
Can’t believe I overlooked eagles and hawks. Of course sparrows and starlings weren’t doing the trick! Classic oversight, focusing too much on the mundane. I won’t be making that mistake. I blame it all on that incessant chirping. Mom says it’s not too bad but I’m fairly certain that cholesterol has gotten to her ears. She must be going deaf. She’s lucky she’s ill or else I’d be very extremely sore at her for making that face at me. I know it’s a bad face because it’s the same face that f***ing mechanic made and I don’t think he’s ever made a good face in his life so if my mom made that same face then I really don’t like that. She gets a pass for the cholesterol.
ENTRY 15
I feel amazing. Bought an eagle bumper sticker at a roadside gas station and after a few strategic snips, it’ll be ready to go on the car. I’m dressing this little lady up! The red, white, and blue has got to go first though. Decided a while ago not to let colors mess with my motif, and I’m not going to slip up on that again! Snip snip.
I’m considering this a debt paid. Dressed the little lady up. Two birds, one stone! I’m making that my new catchphrase.
ENTRY 16
Should I make this a love story? I’m thinking about making it a romance. Doves are right there, really just waiting for me to weave them in. On the other hand, I don’t think that’d work to create much of a conducive learning environment for the kids. I think I’ll stick to a Mark Twain type story instead.
Reread the beginning and don’t think it’s working. I’ll be cutting all that out. I spoke too much about mom’s cholesterol. Too many side characters and not enough focus. Where was I going with this again?
ENTRY 17
Writer’s block. It’s ok, I still had that major breakthrough with the hawk/eagle thought. Put in my two weeks to dedicate all my time. I’ve found a bird-watching site that I hope will bring me more peace than f***ing Polly.
ENTRY 18
These birds are really working to stay in my New York Times best-selling children’s novel. Knew this would be a challenge, but they really do never stop conversing. If only they could read, I’d write them a best-selling manual on the best ways to speak inwards rather than outwards. Chirp chirp chirp needs to turn into ______ ________ ________.
ENTRY 19
Sister’s going to be f***ing pissed but it was the only thing to do.
ENTRY 20
Honestly, it was just a bird! If it was really part of our family, you’d think that I’d know its name by now.
ENTRY 21
I said that Polly’s in a better place now, but set her off with the “Polly”. Maybe this was a mistake. She said I “begged” her to get the bird but she shouldn’t say that when she’s the one reacting like this.
ENTRY 22
Books should come with suggestion boxes. No more birds. Story’s six feet under just like Gladys. See, I can finally remember it now that I can hear myself think.

Pozole
This  is a fast-to-fix soup that’s a welcome meal to serve to counteract Spring’s  still cool evenings.  Just saute the vegetables, add seasonings - tomatoes -  hominy, and heat through.  Serve cotija cheese on the side.  That’s  it…let’s eat a healthy, easy to fix family favorite.
margarine
2 medium sweet onions, diced
2 bell peppers, cored, diced - yellow and red make a nice color splash
2 - 3 c. water
1 - 25 oz. can hominy, drained
1 - 28 oz. petite diced tomatoes
1 t. salt
dash tabasco
1 t. + smoky Spanish paprika
Option: 1 t. cumin
Saute  onions and peppers in margarine until tender.  In a large soup pot, add  the onions and peppers to water, hominy, and tomatoes.  Season, heat  through and serve.  Really that’s all there is to it!  You could make this yourself - so why not...
When I’m not making a fast, hot soup for the family, I’m sewing Hawaiian print aprons for my online shop - www.amazon.com/handmade/TopDrawerThreads  and www.etsy.com/shop/topdrawerthreads .
Or, I’m crocheting throw rugs from recycled fabric strips for my other shop - www.etsy.com/shop/topdraweryarns .
My daughter’s have an online shop - www.etsy.com/shop/yesdesigns - where they design and sew rainbow stripe festival knickers with cell pocket.
My older daughter has an online shop - www.etsy.com/shop/wildwovenwomen - where she works upcycled yarns into brightly colored striped afghans...very fit for end of summer frolics.
My younger daughter has an online shop - www.etsy.com/shop/shroombloombags - where she crochets upcycled yarn into funky shoulder bags.

Anon KG Characters With THH Talents
———————————————–
MYTH: Former SHSL Programmer
One of the three chaperones for the Annual Kibo-Con Ultimate field trip. She has always been interested in technology in her younger years. Using what she had learned from coding books, she has made a couple of best-selling apps including the charming platformer Cannoli’s Romantic Quest and the dating/matchmaking app Lover’s Match. That was what propelled her to Ultimate status. Myth may seem a bit introverted, but with a little push, she can be quite talkative about her passion.
Clothes: She wears a pink hoodie hood-up with pixelated blue and purple stripes, and the same school uniform from her original design.
————————————————-
WYRE: Former SHSL Clairvoyant
One of the three chaperones for the Annual Kibo-Con Ultimate field trip and Myth’s childhood friend. Being born with an innate sense of precognition, she’s always loved boasting and showing off her skills, even if she only has a 30% chance of getting her predictions right. She’s started up a traveling fortune telling stand, and many people walk away marveled at her surprising accuracy, including Hope’s Peak. Despite her rough and tough attitude, if you get on her good side, you’ve got a really caring friend.
Clothes: A tan bandana with a green jewel in the center, a white button-up shirt under a black vest, a dark green cape and a matching ankle length skirt. You’d hardly see her without a crystal ball.
————————————————–
SCAR: SHSL Gambler
One of the attendants of the Annual Kibo-Con Ultimate field trip. Starting out with simple card games, Scar has progressively risen up the stakes of her gambling, as she’s beaten even the deadliest of gambling bets. These high stakes are what influenced Hope’s Peak to pick her up as the Ultimate Gambler. In order to get foes to underestimate her, she puts up a Chuunibyou facade as the Demon of Chance. But every so often, someone at Hope’s Peak manages to make the facade crack a bit, to reveal a concerned friend who just wants the best for others.
Clothes: A gothic lolita dress with card suit motifs, long black stockings with white rose designs, red heels and a black and gold headband with a white and blue rose on top, alongside a black surgical mask with a fanged smile design on the front.
————————————————–
FUSION: SHSL Detective
One of the attendants of the Annual Kibo-Con Ultimate field trip. As an observant soul with a great memory, detective work is a breeze for him. Starting out with simple missing belonging cases, he’s now professional enough to help investigate murder cases. With his analytical mindset, he can find out guilty parties in a flash. During his time at Hope’s Peak, he is considered the ‘Team Dad’ of his class, for his caring and wise personality and his commitment to keep all his friends out of harm.
Clothes: An oversized brown overcoat that covers his hands over a red plaid shirt, a brown necktie, black pants and brown loafers. He also stores detective supplies in his massive afro.
—————————————————-
FUSION II: SHSL Fashion Model
One of the attendants of the Annual Kibo-Con Ultimate field trip. With an eye for fashion and a slim figure, she could even make a potato sack look appealing to wear. Though her main speciality is a sleek and futuristic look, she is perfectly chill with any fashion styles. Beneath her stunning appearance, she has a more snarky, sassy and memetic personality, which is one of the other things that catapulting her into stardom and grabbed Hope’s Peak’s eyes.
Clothes: The same clothes her normal design has.
—————————————————–
JANON: SHSL Idol
One of the attendants of the Annual Kibo-Con Ultimate field trip. As the lead singer of the metal-pop band L.A.G.O, they have attracted loads of fans for their edgy, tsundere personality juxtaposed with their cute singing voice and appearance, both on and off the stage. However, much to the dismay of the fans and to the joy of Janon, the dating rule is still in place. While Janon may normally be prickly and unapproachable, if you get on their good side, you may for a split-second see them crack a slight smile.
Clothes: A black surgical mask, a black, bunny-eared hoodie with L.A.G.O’s logo on the back, black jeans and green sneakers. Underneath the hoodie, is his idol uniform.
—————————————————–
SPARKLE: SHSL Soldier
One of the attendants of the Annual Kibo-Con Ultimate field trip. Having been recruited by the army at a young age for their skill in strategic planning, she has now charged to the front lines as a guerrilla soldier. Despite her loud, bombastic and eccentric personality, her skill at handling weapons and war strategies make Sparkle a formidable ally and an even worst enemy. To this day, Sparkle still has yet to harm an innocent.
Clothes: A black and white striped t-shirt, a camo-printed skirt, black stockings, green army boots, and to top it all off, a camo-printed cape.
——————————————————
EGG: SHSL Lucky Student
One of the attendants of the Annual Kibo-Con Ultimate field trip. They are the winner of the annual Hope’s Peak lottery. At first glance, Egg seems like an average person. But that assumption gets thrown out the window the second they open their mouth. Prone to spouting cursed comments, this, along with a crazy luck cycle, makes socializing with Egg a twisted roller coaster of confusion and terror. Being a rather superstitious soul, they are usually seen with four-leaf clover themed items.
Clothes: A yellow Hawaiian shirt with green four leafed clovers on them, clover earrings, various lucky arms on each arm, blue jeans and green and yellow sneakers.
——————————————————-
WET SOCK: SHSL Doujinshi Author
One of the attendants of the Annual Kibo-Con Ultimate field trip and Egg’s twin. Despite their cold-hearted and knife-obsessed personality, deep down, they are just a nerd who loves anime and manga. In particular, they love anime and manga with cursed concepts, to make somehow even more cursed doujinshis. They don’t like to admit it to others, but they regularly use Egg as a test audience for their doujins. They don’t really like interacting with their fans face-to-face, so you could only find their doujins in online doujinshi shops.
Clothes: A pure black gakuran, with matching black pants and shoes. They also carry a side-bag with drawing supplies inside and anime pins covering the strap.
——————————————————-
CURIOUS: SHSL Swimmer
One of the attendants of the annual Kibo-Con Ultimate field trip. They’re a really kind soul with a heart as big as the ocean, if a bit of a pushover. Despite their diminutive height, they have a surprisingly athletic build, with bulking swimmer’s muscles. They are known for their calming and poised, yet rapid form in the water. They’ve been offered some chances to represent the “Poised Swans” in the Olympics, and how could Curious say no to them? Their kind-hearted nature and fame as an athlete has made them really popular amongst the Hope’s Peak students.
Clothes: A green hoodie over a white tank top, matching green swim shorts, black sandals and a black scrunchie that ties their hair back.
———————————————————
NERD: Former SHSL Public Morals Officer
One of the three chaperones for the Annual Kibo-Con Ultimate field trip. An aggressive and hot headed young man, his reign of terror began ever since he started school. Always wanting both himself and others to follow the rules, he has adopting a rude and aggressive approach to his scolding, which has earned him both fame and infamy. Eventually, the schools he has attended were vanquished of any delinquents and trouble makers. And just because he’s out of school, that doesn’t mean he’d slack off in his discipline.
Clothes: A black blazer over a white button up and a red tie, black pants and black loafers. Topping it off, is a red sash with “Public Morals Officer” written on the front.
——————————————————–
ELDRITCH: SHSL Baseball Player
One of the attendants of the Annual Kibo-Con Ultimate field trip. A confident and hardy teenager on the diamond, well known for his well-thrown curveballs and being able to carry his team, “The Roswell Grays”. But all of that changes the second he steps out of the diamond. When off the diamond, he is very jittery and untrustworthy of others. Not many people know where his paranoia stems from, or why it suddenly vanished whenever he’s holding a bat, but no one wants to make him worry any more than he already does.
Clothes: A grey hoodie with his team’s logo on the lapel, over a baseball uniform. On top of his head, is a black baseball cap.
———————————————————
DREAM: SHSL Gang Leader
One of the attendants of the Annual Kibo-Con Ultimate field trip. With her sunny, cheery and somewhat childish personality, you wouldn’t expect her to be capable of leading a gang. But in fact, her sunny disposition makes her a perfect leader for her motorcycle gang, “The Sunny-D’s”. When not hanging around with her motorcycle gang, you could find her zooming around town on her motorcycle or engaging in athletic endeavors. If you manage to hang around with her, you may find yourself joining her gang.
Clothes: A black leather jacket with her gang’s logo on the back over a pink shirt, a jagged grey skirt over black biker shorts and grey and pink sneakers.
———————————————————-
IRIS: SJHSL Affluent Progeny
One of the attendants of the Annual Kibo-Con Ultimate field trip. She is the heiress to “Ocula Enterprises”, one of the leading businesses in scientific research. But while her scientific knowledge is massive, it was being a great heiress that earned her a spot into Hope’s Peak’s roster. Her very positive and cheery disposition helped boost morale and PR amongst her company and Hope’s Peak, and that is what made her slated to inherit “Ocula Enterprises” from her parents.
Clothes: Two blue barrettes on each side of her hair, a blue business jacket over a grey button-up shirt and a light blue tie, a professional blue skirt, grey leggings and blue heels.
———————————————————–
FANCY: SHSL Fighter
One of the attendant of the Annual Kibo-Con Ultimate field trip. Despite their skinny and androgynous appearance, they are packing quite a lot of lean muscle and the ability to dish out really strong attacks. A master in multiple martial arts, they have made quite the following for their handsome/pretty appearance, alongside appearing in a bunch of action movies as the main character. Although their a master in a lot of martial arts, their fighting styles of choice are taekwondo, aikido and capoeira.
Clothes: A white karate gi with a black belt and a matching headband, with their hair down and sports tape on their arms and bare feet.
———————————————————–
PURPLE: SHSL Author
One of the attendants of the Annual Kibo-Con Ultimate field trip. Although she’s too timid to appear in person most of the time, her YA novels are literary masterpieces and instant best-sellers. Her elaborate and descriptive prose has been described as “poetry in motion” by multiple critics. Her main speciality is fantasy and romance. One of the first best-sellers she wrote was “Beneath The Binding Scales”, a fantasy-romance novel about a hardened and apathetic paladin falling in love with a cheerful and sunshiny dragon-shifter.
———————————————————–
It took me three hours to come up with the swap, but it was totally worth it in the end, right?
How did I do? Could you picture yourselves with any of these talents?
-Fusion Anon
These are all so in-depth and amazing!!! I wish I could make either of those apps, haha. You more or less described me perfectly with the “little push” part. Plus that hoodie sounds so comfy rn-

Navy Bean Soup
Tiny but mighty...the navy bean that is.  The scent of these beans simmering wafted out the open window from my kitchen to where I was working in the yard inspiring me to get on with my chores because a good hearty meal was in the offing.  Try this soup recipe and see if you don’t agree...
2 c. dry navy beans
9 c. water
1 c. onions, diced
1 c. celery, diced
1 c. carrots, sliced
2 t. garlic powder
1 bay leaf
1/4 t. ground cloves
2 t. + salt
1 t. pepper
1 T. dried parsley
1 t. smoky Spanish paprika
Option:  healthy clump of epazote
In a large soup pot, add water and navy beans, cover.  Bring to a boil, then turn down to simmer adding the vegetables and seasonings.  Simmer for 2 hrs. + until the beans are tender.  Break out the deep soup bowls...dinner’s on.
While the soup’s simmering, I’m downstairs in my sewing room cutting out Hawaiian print fabric to sew into island style chef aprons for my online shop - www.etsy.com/shop/topdrawerthreads .
Or I’m putting the finishing touches on hand knit hats and scarves worked from upcycled yarn for my other shop - www.etsy.com/shop/topdraweryarns .
My daughter’s have an online shop - www.etsy.com/shop/yesdesigns - where they design and sew cotton pocket knickers for frolic and leisure.
My older daughter has an online shop - www.etsy.com/shop/wildwovenwomen - where she knits upcycled yarns found at our favorite source for creative reuse materials - SCRAP PDX - into brightly striped rainbow afghans.
My younger daughter has an online shop - www.facebook.com/shroombloombags - where she crochets upcycled yarns into funky mushroom shoulder bags.

New Avon Party Tips
Looking into new Avon party tips can spark new inspirations to have an old fashion party or new ideas for online busy moms. We will look into more ideas that can help make Avon Party’s more productive.
Avon Party Tips for Theme Ideas Be sure to be aware of the time of year and the different themes you can use for your Avon party. Here are some Avon party theme ideas to get you started:
Christmas Party
Flip-Flop Party

Sisters Get together

Winter Extravaganza

Avon Party Tips Ideas You can have a party in almost any location, whether it be at home, online or a business. The possiblities are endless when it comes to Avon parties.
When you have your party in person, here are some ideas to take care of your customers:
1. Avon Deals
Make your event real sweet with a discount offer of 10% for every order placed at the party.
2. Goodie Bags
You can find cheap goodie bags, Avon provides for representatives or small, cellophane bags found at the dollar store. Fill them with a brochure, samples, mini lotion and a few pieces of candy. They would equal out to be a dollar to include the brochure and the mini.
3. Gift Baskets.
Local businesses where there are men or women that do not have time to shop will appreciate the special touch you can make for them. Think of going to your local car shop, tire dealers, car dealers, and make gift baskets for them. Have flyers, jewelry, and any pre-made baskets that can be customized and have on hand. Adding some candy according to the season always helps make it a little more sweet!
4. Gift Certificates.
Perfect for those that just simply can’t decide on how to purchase for other people make a perfect gift. This allows their friend to decide exactly what they want as well.
5. Raffle
Offer customers a chance to enter a raffle for a gift. This can either be with a price point of .25 and up to $5 or more. Also offer an entry for every order they place as well. Make a nice basket or use one of Avon’s featured items. Give them a chance for an extra entry for new customer that places a $15 order or more. Extra chances for referrals too. The ideas are endless.
6. Extravaganza
Trying to get rid of a few items? Have a large sale of adding a sticker for each item and allow customers to add an item to their order. Or make it a surprize gift. Adding the word extravaganza will make it exciting and you add the rules. I like the idea of for an extra $5, you can pick an item from the extravaganza basket. Find creative ways to get rid of those few items people changed their mind on.
7. Plan for the future
Give your customers a reason to come back for more! Print coupons for a free shower gel with next order, surprise gift with order, or anything you can be creative with to keep customers coming back.
The Avon party tips are endless when planning and creating a fun party for all.
With online Avon party’s, you can still share with friends, that when they register on the site, they can get a free gift. This can be as small as a lip balm to mini lotion. This allows them to get their books in the mail, and go ahead and puts them in the routine to order online.
Having a live online Avon party is fun too. Use free services like anymeeting.com or any webinar service to connect people to attend your show live. This will help them walk through the website, and view where to find their favorite items. Also, how to find the latest deals.
There are fun games you can still play with online parties as well as offline. Keep it engaging and informative to help your customer.
Be sure to come participate in an Avon Party now! Just contact Alecia. Register on the site HERE and set up your free gifts too. Check out more online marketing training from Alecia Stringer with more Avon party tips.

Finding An Art Style
I haven’t been doing art for a while now and I feel like I’ve lost what my art style was and I’m having trouble deciding what I would like it to be. I also think my fear of being judged on my abilities is what scares me the most from really trying something new and even difficult.
So for today’s post I’d like to just showcase other artists and what I find inspiring and amazing about their art.
I find most art on Instagram and twitter so I’ll be using screenshots from their accounts so if you want you can follow them and support their work!
Shai Hendrix (Alilpickle)
Tumblr media
Shai Hendrix’ art style is one of my favourites. Her use of bright neon colours and colour blocking are used not only in her prints but in notebooks, jars, bags, grinders, pop sockets and so much more. Her rainbow series is my favourite of hers, I also love her colouring book and clothing items. Shai has an online art shop @ alilpickle.com
Tumblr media
Joanna K
Tumblr media
Joanna’s art style is one I’ve always been inspired by as I went to high school with her and always loved her painting style. She did a piece titled How To Get Rich which I loved, the colours and glitter are some of my favourites to work with and look great in this piece.
Tumblr media
Florence Given
Tumblr media
Florence Given is an artist and writer in London England who I was introduced to by my best friends love of her Instagram account. Her art style is feminism mixed with sarcasm and 70s styled colours and fonts. I find myself consistently sharing her art on my Instagram story as they are just too funny and relatable not too. Florence has an online shop @ florencegiven.com
Tumblr media
PEPSI GIRLS
Tumblr media
Pepsi Girls is the art duo Katie and Jennifer based in Niagara who have art shows around the region and make collage art from magazines. My favourite of their art shows is the Permanent Vacation, I’m a huge fan of Hawaiian shirts and of interactive art pieces. If you live in Niagara you should look out for their shows.
Tumblr media
Alyssa Silos
Tumblr media
Alyssa Silos is an artist/traveler who blew up on Twitter for her insanely amazing art videos showcasing her blending skills. Her series called Potheads is my favourite and I love that she uses a variety of skin tones and body shapes in her art. Alyssa has an online art shop @ alythuth.com.
Tumblr media
The best part of the art world on social media is getting to discover new artists and new forms of artistic expressions. While I’ve been feeling unmotivated and uninspired at the moment, I know I can always go to the art community online and find inspiration for the art I want to create. I hope these artists can inspire you or at least give you motivation to find art you love.

Topshop Summer 2019 Collection | 39 Pieces to Shop
Scroll To See More Images
Your favorite retailers have released their summer collections, and all that’s left for you to do is sift through them. An easy task, right? Sure—if you don’t mind combing through hundreds (upon hundreds) of trendy pieces at a time. If this at all sounds daunting to you (which it probably does, unless you consider yourself an absolutely athletic online shopper), don’t fret—we’ve done the sifting for you, and we can definitively say Topshop’s summer 2019 collection is a can’t-miss destination for vibrant workwear and everyday statement pieces, alike.
Many of us are apt to spend our summer shopping energy on comfy basics—flowy maxi dresses, worn-in T-shirts, breezy culottes that could probably double as pajamas. But the truth of summer is that a lot of it is spent indoors—in offices, at desks, behind computer screens. Lament as we may about spending eight hours of each summer day inside buildings, work is a necessary evil—and playing hooky isn’t really an option if we want to maintain our paychecks. What is an option, though, is filling our summer wardrobes with office-appropriate pieces that feel as inherently vibrant and fresh as the cozy weekend pieces we’ve been eyeing. And Topshop has your back on that one.
Ever dreamt of showing up to work in a gingham power suit? Or a tropical print midi dress? What about a floral jumpsuit? Or silky wide-leg trousers? Or a peasant dress that’s edgy enough to justify pairing with black block heels? Topshop’s summer collection offers all of these—while still making room for the comfier pieces you crave on Saturdays and Sundays. If we sound effusive, it’s only because Topshop has earned it. We’re not saying it’s the only place you need to shop this summer—but we are saying that if it were the only place you ended up shopping this summer, you’d probably fare just fine.
1. Gingham Jacket, $95 at Topshop
It sounded too good to be true—but we weren’t lying.

6. Sydney Black Straw Bowler Bag, $52 at Topshop

Slides that might actually dress up your favorite tee-and-jeans combo.
