I had a weird day dream at work about Charlie learning about DND and thinking it would be a BRILLIANT way of team building among the hotel, so she pushes Her dad, Adam, Vaggie, Angel, and maybe Husk to play, and at some point alastor joins in for the lols.

Angel plays a Sexy female Elf Bard who sings pop songs instead of playing a regular instrument.

Adam plays a Human Paladin who REFUSES to gather any healing spells, leaving it to angel to heal the party half the time.

Lucifer takes a Changeling Wizard who is looking for his missing wife, (y'all know why) and will later discover she has become the big bad guy in the game. Also the changelings gender is questionable at best, much to angels enjoyment.

And Husk has a Tabaxi Rouge who uses ranged attacks and is an utter alcoholic, like himself (Angel made him the character cuz Husk didn't wanna get involved in this shit in the first place)

Vaggie gets a Half elf Fighter who's whole thing is being able to attack harder than anyone in the party and yet has no other good attributes till later in the game.

And then we have Alastor who comes in as a Dark Elf Warlock who has a high Charisma as well as high performance, and also is always in the mood to murder, even the innocent villagers.

I think Adam and Lucifers characters start off hating each other, but after a very dramatic event in the story, they start to bond and Lucifers like "... I think my Character might be in love with your character..." While blushing and Adams just in shock cuz he was kinda thinking the same thing cuz his character would like the challenge of dealing with such a goofy but also tragic character.

And Husk's character is constantly flirted with by Angels who refuses to let the poor cat boy rest without getting to pet his fur. And it's all just so cute and wholesome... Idk if love to talk about this more but I'm running out of time and ideas before I gotta get off my break! Ahhh!!!!

Had a random thought last night about the HH characters playing Dungeons & Dragons, who they would be and how they would play. I asked ChatGPT for some help, here’s what it came up with (I think it’s pretty damn accurate!)

This has probably been done before but idk, please tag anyone who has had this idea already!

Charlie would be the DM. As the Dungeon Master, Charlie would be adept at creating intricate storylines and colorful NPCs. Playing as a wise and benevolent dragon, she'd offer guidance and support to the other players, acting as a mentor figure. Her character might possess ancient knowledge and magical abilities, using them to aid the party in their quests while imparting wisdom along the way.

Alastor would play as a tiefling warlock, embodying the sinister and mysterious nature of his character. He'd wield dark magic and make infernal pacts to gain power, using his charm and cunning to manipulate the other players and NPCs alike. Vaggie would probably play as a fiercely loyal and protective paladin, dedicated to upholding justice and righteousness. She'd be the moral compass of the group, always striving to do what's right even in the face of adversity. She would be a beacon of righteousness and justice, dedicated to vanquishing evil and defending the innocent. She'd be unwavering in her convictions, inspiring her comrades with her courage and determination. Vaggie would embody the virtues of honor and duty, leading by example and encouraging her fellow players to follow the path of righteousness.

Niffty would likely choose to play as an energetic and hyperactive gnome sorcerer. She would be a whirlwind of energy and chaos, casting spells with wild abandon and unpredictable results. She'd approach every situation with enthusiasm and curiosity, eager to experiment with her magical abilities. Niffty would inject spontaneity and unpredictability into the game, keeping the other players on their toes with her impulsive actions and cheerful demeanor.

Sir Pentious might play as a cunning and ambitious serpentfolk wizard. He would be a cunning and calculating strategist, using his intellect and magical prowess to outwit his enemies. He'd specialise in summoning and controlling minions to do his bidding, orchestrating elaborate schemes to achieve his goals. Sir Pentious would relish in the role of the villain, delighting in the chaos and destruction he could unleash upon the game world.

Cherri could play as a fierce and unpredictable tiefling barbarian. She would be a force of nature, unleashing her rage upon anyone who dares to challenge her. She'd revel in combat, charging into battle with reckless abandon and a ferocious determination to emerge victorious. Cherri would embody the primal fury of her character, tearing through obstacles with raw strength and unbridled aggression.

Lucifer would take on the role of a flamboyant tiefling rogue, embracing the opportunity to explore a different side of his character. As a rogue, Lucifer would be a master of stealth and deception, using his agility and cunning to outmaneuver his enemies and acquire valuable treasures. Despite his regal demeanor, Lucifer's character would possess a mischievous streak, delighting in pulling off daring heists and outsmarting his adversaries.

What do you think? I’m tempted to write a one shot DnD story based on this…

me on session 1: ok people, i added a little bit of homebrew content to this campaing and i think you might recognize it. you start in a busy tavern and hear a group of drunken man talk about a sword called excalibur and that whoever pulls it becomes the king of the land. me on session 6: miguel o'hara screams "i can't let go drestoying more cannon events" and launches himself at you, huggy wuggy reacts in time to stop him, rick sanchez instinctively pulls his portal gun and says "we need to get to alastor NOW!!" captain hook grabs his flintlock and begins loading it. player 1: i charge my iron man suit to launch a beam of energy at captain hook. player 2: i use the omnitrix to turn into shocksquatch and add power to the iron man suit. player 3: i grab the among us crewmate, drink the minecraft speed potion and make a run for the portal

And yeah, they would. I feel like they would be the couple to actually use pet names in public, but not in their own worlds. Starlo would use pet names in Lucifer's world, and Lucifer would use pet names in Starlo's world.

I feel like Lucifer would use a lot of elegant sounding nicknames for Starlo, like Starlight, Starshine, My Sheriff, My Radiance, My Blessing, dear, etc. Sometimes, he will be extra with what he calls him, and even sometimes calls him, My Shining Star in a Sheriff's Badge.

Starlo would call Lucifer so many names, ranging from dainty to almost pretty cheesy, like I'm pretty sure this man would be looking through his westerns and then listening for any good names he can call him. Some of the cheesy names being darlin', honey, sweet cheeks, lovely, etc. And the dainty ones being like The Apple of My Eye, King, Luci, Lulu, My Showman, etc.

The DnD part actually seems legit. I'd see Starlo choose to be a Gunslinger and Lucifer would either be a Sorcerer or a Lore Bard. I'd see them probably try to talk others into playing the game, but I feel like the only one who wouldn't play with them would be Dalv because he'd rather be the storyteller who makes the story go on.

If they don't have anyone else to play with though, they're fine with playing by themselves, though Lucifer will take the storyteller role most of the time. But if they do have a Storyteller and others to play with them? Oh, lemme tell you, these two will mostly try to protect each other, without letting their relationship get too into the game. (You can ask Ceroba, Dalv, Martlet, or any of the others who join in the DnD campaign. They are taking it seriously.)

Introducing: the DND Hazbin AU!!!

Sue me some of these classes and races are homebrewed…

Background: for board game night, the subject of DND comes up and Vaggie reveals that she was kind of a nerd while she was alive. She’s a bit self conscious about it but?? Charlie has heard her talk about it before and has wanted to play for ages but they haven’t had a group of people to play with. In a way it’s genius because. Dnd is basically an ultimate team bonding exercise; there’s a lot of empathy and problem solving involved…Vaggie is convinced to give a crash course on the rules, prints out a couple of character sheets, and the rest of the hotel (as per first character creations usually go) basically create themselves as their characters 💀.

Campaign summary: the world is set in a high fantasy adjacent of hell, where Charlie is dead broke and has 0 means raising money for a hotel to redeem the sinners of this realm. With the rest of her party, they set off from avernus (the top ring of the nine hells of Baator ) to Nessus (the deepest ring), where Lucifer has isolated himself within a securely guarded fortress. She intends to ask him to get an audience with heaven to plead her cause.

Team Comp: So the tank for this team is definitely Vaggie, with Charlie and Husk as the support + healers, nifty as a front line damage dealer, Pentious, Alastor, and Angel as long distance damage dealers. To balance out this team maybe Charlie multiclasses to a barbarian down the line??

If the Hazbin crew were to play DND, Alastor would definitely be that asshole to make their campaign come to life. Jumanji style. If they die in game, they die in real life.

The dnd campaign I’m in with a trio of high schoolers (don’t ask it just sounds funnier if I say it that way) is full of hazbin fans but the worst part is one of them made a reference to it and I was like huh. and he was like oh I think you’d like it it’s this show called hazbin hotel and I never wanted to kill myself more than that moment

I think the residents/staff of Hazbin Hotel would really benefit from a dnd campaign.

I know the obvious joke is that they're all basically gonna play themselves - Angel Dust would be a slutty bard, Niffty would be a murder hobo, Charlie would be the paladin so deeply out of their depth.

But I think it would give them the same opportunity we get. They can explore other options, they can be heroes or villains.

I think Angel Dust would still be the slutty bard, but I think he would also be the Team Mom. He would hassle and poke fun, but he also has all the health potions and keeps track of their food.

Niffty would be their damage dealer, and she'd have a blast getting to protect her protectors for a change.

Charlie would have a place to let off her frustrations safely and in a controlled environment. She'd be finding less and less convincing reasons why it's fine to put Niffty in a catapult and send her through the throne room stained glass window.

Vaggie would be the minmaxer and the voice of reason. Definitely not the face of the party, though.

Husk would barely pretend to be interested at first, but he would end up the true convert. Coming up with theories, battle plans, looking up new campaigns. It would even interfere with his drinking.

Alastor would want to be the DM but he is BANNED I love him but I would never put him in control of a campaign. Unless it was Curse of Strahd or similar, in which case I would give him the source material and get the FUCK outta town.

Lucifer would DM and it would be such a great outlet for his creativity, and it would get him out of the house.

MORE IDEAS FOR MY HAZBIN DND CONCEPT,

I came up with names for all the player characters and backstories, and a bit about them, gotta try and write this before I go back to work

Angel plays Estrella Angelo (Elven Bard), and her backStory consists of her being stuck as a Fae lords property for hundreds of years till she escaped and is now on the run to try and have her own life and potentially find what's left of her family, mostly her twin sister (again, y'all know why)

Adam plays Father Adonis Edens (Human Paladins who doesn't use healing spells), a priest raised under the holy light of the God of lights church, who fights for justice, music, and badassery. (Total main character syndrome but Charlie and Luci help curb it over time) Also as he levels up, charlie is nice enough to give him an item that lets him have golden wings for one hour a day in game when he learns to not be such a main character type.

Lucifers plays Ramsey Leclair (Nonbinary Changeling Wizard), the Changeling grew up in the fae wild and lived having a party every day, but chose himself to study magic till he became a wizard, and honestly doesn't even know how old he is due to the fae wild being a little Wonky time wise. That ill they met a human woman warlock named Lyla and she was the one who convinced him to leave the Fae wild to be with her, so they leave and have a kid and raise the kid till she moves out and then one day, while happily married she vanished and after waiting months, he goes out in to the world to try and find her.

Husk has Mittan Von Wiskerz (Tabaxi Rouge) big gambling problem and is indeed to a gang of thugs in a very large city and is adventuring against his well to try and get enough money to pay back his debts or they will kill him. (Angel came up with this backstory, name, class and race btw, cuz Husk didn't wanna do it)

Vaggies plays Silvana Elawise (Half Elf Fighter) who used to be a knight who served the Elven Princess Iris, till one day, Iris, is struck with a curse to turn her to stone till someone can find the cure. Of course Silvana is the first to volunteer to adventure out for a cur for this affliction, needing to save the woman she loves.

Alastors character is named Alistair LaRose, (cuz Alastor didn't wish to come up with a better name it seems -_-) And didnt wish to come up with a backstory at first, but later he desided to come up with the idea that his demon that he worships sends him on a quest to collect souls of others and the only legal way to get away with murder and killing so many monsters and animals is by being an adventure, if he doesnt give enough souls he will loose his powers.

That's all I got time for right now but I may add more tomorrow if I get more ideas

Like it was way after most of their time (the only one who might know what it is depending on what lore you believe is Vaggie) and the ramp-up would be ✨a lot✨ but I think they’d get so into it

Husk would be all about the skill checks. Dice rolls are where he’d shine

Angel would go full “can I fuck it” bard the second he caught wind of the stereotype and he would be SO GOOD at it

Alastor would start very sly and strategic and then just go full murder hobo about 20% of the way through the campaign when he gets bored and realizes he can go the “can I eat/kill it” route parallel to Angel’s

Niffty has big murder hobo energy and goes headlong into that role

Pentious would take over the strategic role Al abandons and stick with it, but every time he’s done explaining the battle plan, the group is already in the fray. Two of them are down, Angel’s just spamming bardic when he rolls a 1 for charisma, Alastor has something in his mouth wtf is in your mouth drop it rn

Charlie (likely the well-meaning DM) would attempt a pacifist approach every time even though her party will NOT follow through. In fact they still let her do it on the off chance she slips into a false sense of security, takes the narrative down with her, and then one of them can shotput someone (maybe Angel’s short king bard) right at the enemy group Charlie was hoping they’d try to befriend, armed to the teeth

Vaggie I think would be a cleric and a very, very exasperated healer. Like fully leaves them on the ground sometimes after a fight to think about what they’ve done

I only know DnD as far as BG3 can teach ya but I like the idea of them all kind of blowing off Charlie when she brings armfuls of books and dice sets to the table as a new “group exercise” and then they all get WAY too into it.

And they fuck with each other a lot, there’s a lot of friendly fire and cheeky heel turns, but then there are moments when, far too focused on the game, Husk gets amped about a really high roll Vaggie throws, Alastor applauds Angel for his elaborate distraction tactics when it gets them the upper hand, Niffty high-fives Pen for a nefarious deception play and returns his “bad boy” status

And Charlie starts tearing up when she notices but improvs something sickly sweet in the campaign so they don’t realize she’s emotional over THEM bc the second they notice it’s all over
