i have this thing where i involuntarily make really high pitched noises because i literally cannot help it. it's basically a vocal stim.

so now i'm imagining baby jay during his robin run who has little vocal stims that sound like a baby chick. he already looks like one with his yellow cape wrapped completely around him and only his little wide-eyed face poking out.

sometimes he gets so excited or worked up during patrol that he makes baby chick noises while hopping around and hiding in bruce's cape. it just happens, okay! bruce absolutely loves it-- he imagines his inner self just falling to his knees and clutching his heart because oh his little baby is so precious...

Application Rejected

When Danny adopted Cujo he saw him as a puppy, which was a little sad considering the implications. He always thought Cujo was the only one who had stayed, the only one whose soul had persisted. He thought Cujo was alone.

He was wrong. Not all adult dogs and puppies stayed, of course. But many had. Cujo was simply the only one who decided to return to the world of the living, probably because of his obsession with his toy.

One day Cujo showed him where they were all hiding; Danny knew that those dogs had not stayed for the same reason as Cujo, they probably had a myriad of different reasons, and that was fine.

The problem was that excluding some of the adult dogs (that obviously were fine on their own and didn't care), there were many puppies similar to Cujo running around in need of affection and he couldn't adopt them all (besides, Cujo would definitely get jealous). And while many ghosts agreed to take a couple, it wasn't all of them, so Danny did something extreme.

He held an adoption fair in Amity, which was a smashing success. He just forgot that a lot of people in Amity...were usually traveling, and the ghost puppies would follow.

Then, a few days later when a scowling guy showed up (he obviously wasn't part of the general Amity Park population) and demanded a "bright green" puppy, Danny said no and refused his application. He couldn't trust someone with no knowledge with a ghost dog. Although he did offer him a course to learn about their care.

Damian Wayne was offended with his overall assessment. He was obviously the right person to care for one of those pups. So he set out to prove that to the boy in front of him, without hesitation.

One thing about me is that I’ve followed Fields of Mistria since it was in development and when they introduced March as a character something about him screamed to me that he was transmasc and I believed that so wholeheartedly that when the game released and we got to see his beach outfit I was genuinely stunned that he didn’t have any top scars. I know Mike and Will were practically glued to each others sides at the end of s4, which I do think was obviously meant to foreshadow the events to come related to byler endgame and them playing a big role in defeating vecna as a team.

However, I cannot simply let go of the angsty prospects that come with Will avoiding Mike in early s5.

Like imagine both El AND Will avoiding Mike for a little bit at the start of the season after a major event or two…

We already know why El would be ignoring him, as she was literally doing just that by the end of s4.

But Will on the other hand, I think it would take something substantial for him to go from going along with Mike’s returning clingyness, to avoiding him…

And yet, I do think a dream (nightmare) or more specifically, a vision from Vecna, could very well have Will changing his tune…

Imagine Mike confronting Will about it, coming off as hurt almost, only for Will to apologize and then try to explain he just wanted to give him and El space and not mess up stuff like he did last time…

I just… I DONT even want to imagine Mike’s reaction to finding out Will is avoiding him bc he thinks that Mike wants to be alone with El without him there at all bc of what he said at rink o mania…

The presence of a much smaller Pokemon seemed to ease his panic, however, the fox appeared a bit disappointed at this realization. Seems his questions went unheard unfortunately... Alternative 'Steve coming to terms with being Bi' idea:

(The queer community isn't perfect, there's a lot of infighting that's not obvious on the surface level. A lot of bi/pan/ace people get sneered at by gay/lesbian people even now, and in the 80s it was worse.)

After Vecna, Eddie tells Steve he had and still has a crush on him, but as he's aware that Steve's straight, he's going to stop flirting with him because he doesn't want to make Steve uncomfortable. Eddie will get over it eventually, but he wants 'to be friends so please don't hate me, Stevie, I'm trying to stop'. For some reason that hurts Steve and he can't stop thinking about it. For a few weeks, while Eddie's being his usual boisterous self, Steve just watches and thinks.

Eventually, he tells Robin how he feels, that he thinks he likes Eddie and wants to try being with him because they get on great, and he's nice, and kind of good looking, and why not? He's not used to being subtle about asking people out, so figures he might as well see if Eddie wants to actually date him.

Robin is shocked but then SO happy that he's gay too. But when Steve says that he's not, that he still likes women, she gets annoyed. Being gay is a big deal to her, and she feels like Steve would rather date someone he's not attracted to, just so that he's not single/lonely. 'Maybe I just like Eddie, he has long hair, I dunno?' 'That's not a thing, Steve!'

Steve has no idea, and after his shift, when he's alone, he melts down about it and genuinely wonders if he's deluding himself. Maybe he is 'fully gay', maybe he's desperate for love from anyone. He thinks he likes Eddie, so was he lying to himself before? Did he love Nancy, or did he just want to love her? It doesn't quite fit, and it takes him a long time to get to grips with who he is, and he spirals a bit because he realises that actually he has no real sense of identity in general. He doesn't know what he wants in the future in ANY capacity.

During a movie night with the older teens, it's Argyle (bizarrely) that vaguely states that he finds both the make/female lead actors hot, and it's the catalyst for Steve actually figuring himself out. He doesn't talk to anyone at all about it. He thinks and thinks and thinks, and just comes to terms with it. He did love Nancy, he does find girls attractive, but he also wants to make out with Eddie. (He also thinks that guy in that labyrinth film is kinda hot.)

So he bites the bullet and does what he wanted to do originally. He asks Eddie out, and Eddie's immediately like 'uh HELL yes', feeling like he's won the jackpot. And after a few weeks of vaguely secretive dating (ie making out at Eddie's new house), Steve settles into 'liking both', and tells Robin. He's much more confident this time, now that he's tried and knows he likes both.

Turns out Robin's been thinking about it too, and when Steve tells her about him and Eddie, she's apologetic for trying to tell him who he is. She points out that she'd have hated it, if it was the other way around. She's been looking into it, and come to the same conclusion. Steve was right, he can 'like both'. They have another soft little moment before she brutally mocks him for his taste in men.

(Eddie, meanwhile, has no idea how much soul searching Steve and Robin have been through. He's walking on air, just ecstatic that The Steve Harrington is his boyfriend.)

So now that we know the marriage market/schemes of the ton are not Benedict‘s cup of tea & he spends the better part of s3 running away from debutantes who want to marry him… I need Sophie (or whoever is going to be his love interest in his season) to be the incarnation of the word no. I need this lovely lady to be absolutely uninterested in this jokester puppy of a Bridgerton so that he HE has to run after HER. And she’s just like no thanks & completely uninterested & pragmatic/down-to-earth all the time until he like…cries & begs her to marry her I guess?

His heart had sank into his chest the moment Lumine had fled the scene. He knew he had done something. But for fuck sake, what? What was it about him that made him feel he was walking broken eggshells only to break them further? Gods, tonight it would seem he stomped on a nest, bird carcass and yolk alike dripping off his shoe and chased by the tone in her voice, the sound of rejection.

Ajax couldn't hear too much from the other side of the door; some shuffling, some broken parts of muffled conversation. Pressing up his ear against it still did little to add clarity to the situation. He sighed, not wanting to give up but the alternative was knocking down the door... He just wanted answers. Before that could fruition into action, the it swung open, Aether stood there with all the pure anger of someone who's near and dear loved one had been hurt, poison seeping from the same beautiful honey hues his sister had. He wanted to say he couldn't blame him, but he was so confused by everything it was hard to see anything more than just a pissed off man in his way.

"I want answers." Ajax replied, biting his words, cold and angry but lacking any real venom. Mind working over time to see how to navigate this best but lord did he just want to hit someone, anyone. He could feel the muscles in his hand itching, contracting and relaxing as he balled them up in an odd attempt to keep himself under wraps. Would punching Aether solve anything? No, sadly violence wasn't how the world worked even in the most extreme cases. At least, not when it came from him. And punching the pissed off brother of the girl you sent into a panicked frenzy? Maybe he wasn't that stupid... Possibly.

"Everything was fine, and then something happened and no one will tell me what. So Aether, you tell me; What have I done? Hm?" Answers. He needed answers. He didnt want to walk out of here not knowing if he could never come back. Not knowing what set her off. Not knowing why he was so drawn towards the twins to begin with. this series is always difficult to summarize concisely, but I will do my best!

the long hair prettymen series you're likely referring to is Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation/MDZS/The Untamed! it was originally a BL novel series, but it was also made into a wildly successful live action drama (The Untamed) which was my avenue into the series! it's about the rise and fall of Wei Wuxian, an extremely talented cultivator (sword wizard) who goes from celebrated war hero to reviled necromancer. the series opens with his death and then resurrection 13~16 years later. it's about necromancy and the horrors of war and politics and reputation and the rumor mill and family and sacrifice, but it's also about what if the class clown bad boy and hall monitor valedictorian were madly in love with each other. it's also about one kid having a shit ton of uncles. it's great! I cannot recommend it enough, it's truly a delight to read and watch, even when it's supremely corny. the creator does a fantastic job of balancing humor and tragedy, and the characters make me want to eat drywall

however, the waters may be muddy, because recently I have started posting about another long haired prettyboy series, which is Scum Villain's Self-Saving System! it's another novel series by the same author as MDZS and I'm only halfway through it, but I'm having a great time. it's about a dude getting isekai'd into an absolutely horrible web novel that he obsessively hates, and he gets thrown in the villain's role. it's hysterical, and also has been shredding my heart periodically. but it's mostly very funny, and I'm obsessed with the characters. everyone in this series needs serious help, they're all fucked in the head
