you grab a hoodie and put your blazer over. this outfit should be fine, you see iura shu wear it ans he seems fine or so you thought. walking over to your friend group with hori and the gang, they stared. you look different, you had the hoodie of the jacket you were wearing over your head.

" um... why are you all staring? stop, it's gross. " you pinch the bridge of your nose in a joking manner as the response you got was nothing but silence.

" yo! " iura greets as he slams the door of your classroom open, making everyone jolt and turn to the source of the sound.

" oh! what's with the emo vibes? you're wearing a hoodie too~ are you trying to match with me? " iura says as he reach over to your hoodie, about to pull it down but you're quick to pull your hood over forward as he tugs it backwards.

" hey, hands off! " you try to shake him off but to no avail, he's teasingly pulling the hood as you try your hardest to hold it.

" dude, knock it off already! " ishikawa jumps in to save you by pulling iura away. you were safe for now.

" yeah what's with the sudden hood up thing? " yoshikawa starts as she had her long sleeved hand over her mouth.

" well... " you look over at hori, hoping she'll save you as she looks down and away from your gaze.

suddenly, a tug from behind was all you felt as the hood drops. iura had pull your hood down, they continue to stare as you quickly covered your face in embarrassment.

" don't look! " you shout.

" you're cute, " iura said as you slowly put your hands down, everyone looking at him.

" I mean it. you're cute with your hair short. " he says once more as he grab a piece of your hair.

" he's right, you're cute. " miyamura says as he cover his mouth and quickly look over at hori. she had a smile on her face.

" our adorable y/n l/n! " she whispers shout as she jumped and hugged you. you're confidence slowly building.

“Did you hear the new Sakamaki album?” “I did! It was amazing!” “I loveeee their duo songs but those 2 songs where all of them were singing together, that was great!, I can’t wait to see the music videos they come up with.” All throughout school, I kept hearing the about the Sakamaki album , I haven’t heard it myself, not that I didn’t want to I just never found these things interesting to me, I barely listened to music. Growing up , my father made sure I wasn’t involving myself with sinful behavior and that included music outside of the church.

“Hey look over here! The Sakamaki brothers are going to have a music video and they’re asking for models to appear in it! I wanna be in it!” One fan girl stated, she was seemingly overwhelmed with emotions. A music video that sounds interesting, maybe I should try listening to some of their music when I get home..

Later that evening, I went on YouTube and searched them up, and instantly I fell in love with their voices, it was like I was being serenaded by the vibrations, their music itself was definitely more on the darker side of poetry, yet I was very much drawn into this dark masterpiece. That night, I listened to all the albums and the solo artists.

I went to bed thinking about the ad for appearing in the Sakamaki music video it honestly would seem like an interesting experience. Somewhat fun too? I don’t know why I’m feeling like this, it’s as if I’m a new person, I found something I truly am interested in. I smile to myself as I turn to the side and drift off into sleep.

I wake up, thinking about the dream I had. I was thinking about it the Sakamaki brothers so much that I fantasized being in their music video, yea right, that won’t happen. Felt like a fever dream anyway. I get ready and then go off to school. Walking in from the back, where no one else was I noticed a limousine, and coming out were the Sakamaki brothers…I felt like my heart was about to explode, I could feel my face heating up when I saw them. They were even more handsome in person.

“What are you looking at?” The spunky red head Ayato said, his voice sounded annoyed, his singing voice was absolutely perfect however, maybe he was in a bad mood..I say nothing. “Ayato don’t be rude to a cute girl, hey why don’t you come hang with us for a bit? We’re new to this school” Laito said, Laito’s songs were super sexual, he gives such playboy vibes. “Um I don’t think I can..” I say quietly. “Alright then beat it, then out of here already you’re a nuisance to look at” Subaru said, he was as rude as ever but all the fans called him a tsundere..I believe it. I begin to walk away, but I was stopped by the voice of I believe it was Reiji. “Hold on a moment, we are new to this school. We were told a student was supposed to show us around. I believe you are the student to do so since you happened to stumble upon the correct location, please fulfill your task. “ he stated so firmly, I sigh and simply comply. Taking them around the school shouldn’t be too bad. I feel bad for the student that was supposed to do this job intentionally..

“Is there a place I can nap..? I’m so tired” Shu said, he was so handsome I wanted to just keep looking at him, I shook my head and said that there wasn’t a nap room but there is an infirmary room where he can nap if he isn’t feeling good, I showed them the room and Shu hopped on the bed, stayed there. He did not care to finish the tour.

“ Well that’s all there is..I have to head to class now, ah Ayato, Kanato and Laito we all have the same class next period, see you guys there.” I say smiling slightly, which caused Ayato to grab my wrist. “That look you just gave me..it was quite intoxicating, I like that face, I wanna see more of that face” he told me, I was blushing like crazy, I could feel it. I tried to remain calm but he began licking my hand, I jolt it back, gasping. “Your skin tastes nice, let me have a go at you” i look at him with confusion.

“If you’re gonna have a go at her, so will I “ Laito butted in , “so will I!” Kanato said, smiling at me crazy. “That’s enough of all of you, apologies for their horrendous behavior” Reiji stated, I thanked him and walked away quickly. That was so strange..they’re so weird but I’m kinda attracted to this..am I becoming weird?

(it's been a busy time, so let's do a summary)

Because of Chinese New Year holidays, the musical is currently on a break 🐲🌟 There were just a few last performances and now they're resting 🙏 However, some extra content came out, so let's go through it (all video links in replies as always :*)!

LC Musical got media coverage on CCTV (Chinese Central Television - main national tv station in China). It was a short material promoting the play and the theatre, you can actually watch it on Encore Musicals' weibo and bilibili. The stageplay has gained popularity since the premiere and more people are visiting Shanghai to see it. So this news piece is basically a big shout out and a recommendation 🌟

Another video on Encore Musicals bilibili (and 1st pic at the top of my post) is from when the whole musical crew was drawing red envelopes 🧧 (I didn't know this tradition, so I added the wiki for you too^). Basically Zhang Jiahao and Wang Minhui drew the best gifts and were happy about it ^^

I already posted abt Wang Minhui's vlog with rehearsal scenes, but thanks to @chocolatexiaoshi 💝 explanations and translations from @/Elaraqwq and @/bhd322418 on twt 💙, I can tell you about some fun details about it ^^

⬆ So yea, here Cai Qi really says: "Coincidentally, I'm single too. If you want, I'll be your first boyfriend."

⬆ here Cai Qi starts singing CXS's main plot song "Words can't convey the love", then it cuts to Wang Minhui singing the rest (best thing is, we'll get to see that song performed by Shu Rongbo and Wu Yihan on Feb 10th livestream).

⬆ then he talks about the books they have in sunroom shelves. He points out how the books are all about how to become wealthy and sucessful, with titles like: 'It's performance that counts', 'Project Management Practices', 'Conscientiousness trumps competence', 'Corporate Strategy and Risk Management'. Like, the book he's holding in 2nd pic is written by Jack Ma Jun, 4th wealthiest person in China, you get the vibe... It's such a funny touch and shows attention to details by the crew designing the set ❤ I love the idea of our broke indebted boys having a library of economy coaching books ><'

⬆ (okay... okay, you got this Niebo) Then this part. Wang Minhui is singing a song from another musical (白夜追凶 roughly translated as 'Chasing the murderers day and night') in which they played as twins. Minhui played the older brother who was an experienced policeman.

In order to solve the case, Minhui's character tried to rewrite the psychology of the perpetrator, that's what this song is about. Like he was just imagining the interrogation. So Cai Qi is reenacting what Minhui is singing. It is not the actual choreography to that song 💀

From minor news, Encore Musicals announced they'll be auditioning for LC Musical cast. It's probably connected to how it's a long-term stage and they'll need more actors. According to choco-xiaoshi, musicals like this can go on for a year or longer, depending on how well the tickets sell. And for now LC stage is selling well 🌟

They also posted the performace schedule for March, with special events marked. And yes, Shu Rongbo and Wu Yihan have birthdays on the same day, March 10th and will be performing then 😌

15 DAY BL CHALLENGE - DAY 10

Most Emotionally Pleasing Love Scene

This is tricky like emotionally pleasing...in what way? I have two interpretations!

The final love scene in The Sign, definitely had heavy but good vibes. It's so beautifully soft and emotional. Tharn knowing he's saying goodbye while Phaya is celebrating having survived what he thinks is the worst thing they'll go through together. It's so well done and just such a warm, golden hour glow, despite the ominous knowing feeling.

On the other side, we have the emotionally intense love scenes and MY GOD I think that has to be the COUCH SCENE from We Best Love: Fighting Mr. Second.

This is one of the most tense love scenes in a BL (IMO). Like Shi De is so sad and all messed up and he wants Shu Yi but he knows he shouldn't and he doesn't understand why Shu Yi is upset with him so he gets wasted and shows up at his place. Shu Yi is so mad at Shi De but unwilling to communicate and he misses Shi De and is also just sad and he still wants Shi De...but maybe not like this.

This position is visually stunning and as uncomfortable as the scene is. It's just so intense and dark and messed up and very well done. I love it.

Artists

Shu draws pretty much every jjk character, but I mostly follow them for their Mahito, Kenjaku and Heian trio art. Love their artstyle, especially with their new brush. Has something of a watercolour painting or calligraphy.

@trung-roi (twitter) I mostly follow him for his amazing TenKen art, but he also draws SukUme, Mahito and stsg. It has a very ethereal sort of feeling to it that I really like and always incorporate amazing symbolism. He's also on AO3 and writes in English and Vietnamese.

@eggslamwich (twitter) Really enjoy their TenKen and MahiKen art or just art of Mahito and Kenjaku in general. It's quirky and fun and hits the dynamics of the characters so well. Always look forward to his posts.

@ginkutsudaisen (twitter) makes some great Tengen, Kenjaku and Sukuna art. I especially like their Tengen pieces and the way they incorporate her themes of isolation, enlightenment and the stars.

命さん makes great Mahito art, I love the mix of beauty and gore and surrealness they bring to it, and I'm especially happy to see that they got into ItaMahi recently. They sometimes post Kenjaku too, but always very Mahito focused.

もやし is like my go-to when it comes to TenKen art or anything focusing on Kenjaku and Tengen in general. Recently, they also posted fanart about Jin and Kaori that makes me a bit insane. The way they draw Jin's eyes is argh! Captures the vibe he gives me perfectly. They also have comic going with Kenjaku, Geto, Gojo and Takaba as children in a Reincarnated AU. Kenjaku and Geto are twins, Kenjaku mostly remembers their past life and suspects that Tengen messed with their soul to get them in this situation. They also just became friends with Takaba and dramatically gave him a speech to live to his own accord. It's really touching and even if you don't understand Japanese, I definitely recommend it for the art.

新井 their TakaKen comics are amazing. I love how Kenjaku and Takaba look in their art style and they capture their chaotic but intimate dynamic perfectly. Their comic about Takaba quite literally going through an insane fever dream to find Kenjaku before they could turn bad ripped out my soul.

dare? is another great Mahito fanartist. They also draw MahiKen, which is how I got interested in them. Their art can be either very gorey or sweet or a mix of both. Love it either way.

Last but not least, taigi (poipiku). They mostly draw TakaKen as well as those characters on their own. Their artstyle is really unique. Very colourful, vibrant, but also dark, disturbing and trippy. I love how surreal their pieces are. Also great source for other TakaKen art, they retweet a lot of it.

Writers

Fanfic writers is a bit difficult because I don't read that many jjk fanfics at the moment.

I like SenZen_Travelers KenMahi fics Complicity and Indulgence. One of the best KenMahi fics I've read. I like their characterisation of Mahito in particular. Haven't read anything else the author put out because it's ships or character dynamics that don't interest me, so I can't speak on that. Still highly recommend their Mahito fics.

I also like @urostakako fics, particularly the ones focusing on Tsumiki and Maki & Mai's relationship. If you're into Uro/Yuki I recommend them too. Or even if you're not, you can give it a try. I didn't really have the ship on my radar before, but I really like their dynamic here.

Does anyone else have vastly different appearances in their head for you in the different routes? Like I day dream a lot, like a lot a lot it's why I post sometimes it's when the fear overrides the need to word vomit.

TW: mentions of abuse, depression and just general fucked up. It's the diaboys there's only so much you can avoid mentioning

Ok so I'm gonna write out a brief description of what always stays the same in these day dreams. I play around with them being human or something else, normal or like assassin's or stuff like that. But there's a few things that generally stay the same. They're all Afab, with she/her pronouns just because I create women a lot in my head but you could easily gender swap them as I'm focusing on personality and general vibe the appearance I describe I think is easily able to fit on different genders or have a same vibe equivalent.

Shu

I've always felt Shu would match well with someone who deals with depression or anxiety, more so less severe cases as two sleep all the time to avoid having to face life people do not make healthy relationships. But someone who has some degree of understanding while also having a better hold of themselves as humans are getting better at learning how to help manage depression. Shu is old and I'm pretty sure he's not bothered to learn much about the modern world aside from sleep/comfort, music (that's a stretch mp3s are not used as much as phones also that bitch would absolutely be a waterproof wireless earphone hoe), and probably porn.

I think a natural leader type person would also suit. I know in theory it sounds antithetical to the s/o with depression but hear me out. I deal with depression but also due to my own personality step into organized positions as I want things done to avoid stress. I really see an oldest sister would match him as it's someone modeling behaviors that to the best of my knowledge Shu was never against having. It was Reiji rejecting him and the triplets being kept away from him that prevented that dynamic setting itself up. I really think if an s/o could get Shu to work on himself he would be trying to be more brotherly. I think out of all the brothers Shu and Subaru are very likely to have a happier relationship with everyone. But they don't have the tools and are too stepped in their ways to navigate without help.

I think they would have to meet in school or something outside of being a sacrificial bride, maybe an actual exchange student with strict instructions of no harm coming to them. Diaboys set up a pretty unhealthy dynamic and since they go cruelty first, then fuck up so bad then realize they're in love that the types that would benefit them "best" would be gone or killed already.

Someone with a good sense or sarcasm would be great for Shu too. Couples who laugh together stay together. Plus a match for teasing would probably be something that leaves a grin on his face all day long.

Shu: "You should really wear a longer skirt in school, or do you want me to look up your skirt as you walk past. Heh, lewd woman"

S/o: [as they walk past] "Why risk breaking uniform code when I can just wear nice underwear under it instead, then I get two benefits"

S/o: [stopping just before turning down a corridor] "There's no rant from Reiji for breaking code and you end up showing off how desperate you are. Lewd man~"

Shu: [in love]

I don't think any super genius level of intelligence is needed but someone with a rounded view on things and a someone who is at least vaguely informed about what they talk about would be good. It avoids the annoyance of someone dense but also isn't so book focused it reminds him of Reiji.

Reiji

Speaking of the spectacled suitor. S/o has gotta be smart in some capacity not necessarily an encyclopedia but maybe good at Chemistry/Biology, or a good strategist. Bitch aims to be a control freak and a future king or, route depending, advisor to the King, so battle tactics would be attractive.

He'd be into the type of woman who doesn't overtly dress sexually. Pencil skirt or pants and blouse with some heels are a great look and can be sexual when you want to be sexual but also just well put together when you aren't looking to get railed on a desk. Except, of course, for when he decides to get handsy he realizes you decided to forgo any underwear.

Nipple piercings. He's definitely into them you can't fool me it's all that hidden succubus energy he finds attractive in a partner.

Past that he wants someone who isn't going to stress him out, someone to be a voice of reason, and someone to relax with.

I think someone chatty could be either great or awful for him. On the one hand he seems so adjusted to over stimulation true silence may unsettle him but at the same time it may annoy him if he isn't interested in conversation. Same for the other side of the coin, someone too quiet would unsettle him cause he won't know what your thinking, but at the same time it might be nice to sit in silence and read.

I've always thought Reiji would want someone tall like 5'10-6'00 as they can't be taller then him because inferiority complex, but I firmly believe he's got a back that is prone to aches already so not having to bend far for kisses or hugs would be nice. Or better yet someone shorter than him but still tall for a woman, so wearing heels gets here to be like 5'11" to 6ft.

Reiji does like humor and spontaneity sometimes. I think a stiff lover would drain him, nobody wants to actually date themselves. Again the older sister type (stereotype I know) would suit, as generally older sisters are pushed to mature fast like he was, except generally it's not as severe as him and older sisters are statistically the most likely to have read about or been to therapy to undo some of the behaviors that aren't as healthy.

[Loud music or something playing]

Reiji: [going to stand up] I swear can nobody keep order in this house...

S/o: [Gently touches his hand] They've yet to make a crash and it's coming from Ayato's room. I say we turn on the record player to drown it out for now. It's not your job to be their dad Sweetness, and all your doing is giving yourself grey hairs

Reiji: [sitting back down] I suppose I could finish this chapter-

[CRASH]

S/o: [quickly stands up and starts to walk to the door, lots of heel clicking] I swear that boy has to ruin every quiet moment I can grasp for us. Wait there.

Reiji: [feels very loved for and is confused as to why that gave him a boner]

I don't think he'd enjoy a dom much but a switch who prefers to sub but isn't against them taking a more gentle lead (not the kinky shit he's into I don't think you'd actually get a whip near him in a healthy relationship).

Ayato

This bitch is tricky. Like I think with the except of Subaru the Sakamakis get worse the younger they are. I feel that's why the triplets never appealed to me they seemed harder to redeem. I could see Shu, Reiji, or Subaru potentially getting better with Reiji least likely but the triplets are... messy.

That being said I think Ayato is definitely going to have to be a least a little bit on the road to being more balanced by the time he meets this s/o.

An s/o who is modern would definitely appeal in my opinion. Video games, outfits, music all that good culture stuff that Ayato is a spectator not a player in right now. He is still old as shit and he hasn't got non...any friends so he doesn't have a lens to learn the culture, all he can do is watch.

Ayato is one of the highest sex driven characters in the games (he sleeps with Yui the most because it uses the underwear sprite almost every time they sleep together indicating it ain't just dreaming happening) I think that may be part possessive part teenage boy. So someone with an interest in partaking is probably important for drive balance. To be clear I don't necessarily mean sexy here, more so that giddy first time giggles type person. Someone who's excited to experience things with him.

That extends past the bedroom too Ayato was starved for activity as a child and is still as a teen so someone who knows what's fun and is happy to take him there is like perfect.

I do think Ayato's s/o will need to be a patient person as I feel Ayato going through therapy would mean a lot of breakdowns or tension in him that could lead to more arguments than potentially needed if they ain't a little patient for the smaller things. There is a difference between 'he demanded I make him Takoyaki then sulked when I reminded him we're equals in this partnership so I'll avoid escalating ' vs 'he has bitten me for talking to a guy, but to him that's just a display of love.' The second thing deserved a conversation then and there you don't avoid rocking the boat when it comes to dangerous behaviors folks.

S/O: Well, Edward isn't exactly a catch himself but like c'mon he imprinted on a baby. Ayato: Beatrix and him were engaged from birth. S/O: Exactly.

Laito

Oh boy. Again needs to be starting therapy or unraveling what his mum did to him and what his culture has shaped him to be first.

Once done however I think Laito would want someone "normal." No baggage, or crazy lifestyle, or wacky habits. I think he craves something calm when everything has been so disordered growing up. I think it's why he likes crosswords, they're a weirdly normal thing in his weird world.

I think he needs someone with a lower sex drive then he displays in the games. A not uncommon trauma response from childhood sexual assault is hyper sexuality which seems to be why Laito is hyper sexual. I don't think that's him as a person, Shu would be high sex drive in how he talks but Laito seems very much to be shielding himself with sex not having sex for sex.

So yeah someone who isn't always in the mood, maybe they sleep naked but just because they want skin on skin contact. Maybe it's to feel his breathing better. But that sort of environment. Where the thing he's over sexualized: himself and women, become less sexual more intimate. He'll be thrown a bit at first 100%. But I think after cuddling while having his hair gentle played with or a shoulder rub he'll be welcoming this new part bodily expression.

Laito is smart, smarter than he gets credit for he's a manipulator with charisma to boot and I've tried a crossword they use a certain part of your brain that I do not use. I think he'd like someone who's not too dense but also I feel like he won't mind too much so long as they could hold conversation and read sarcasm.

He also would probably love a more modern s/o like Ayato. Imagine the shopping sprees!

S/O: [coming out of changing room] I'm really not sure about this dress on me Laito: It's the shade it clashes with your undertones, try it in a different colour. S/O: They don't have it in my size, that sucks. Laito: Why? fufu~ It's Chanel, she was a vampire just take a picture and I'll get the designer over to make you one tailored made. S/O: Are you sure? I don't know how close I want you being stuck to your dad, and all the weirdness you've mentioned. Laito: Oh please, as if he's bothered enough about the fourth in line.

Kanato

This one's hard man. Kanato, Ruki, Kou, and Azusa are some of the hardest to envision in a healthy spot tbh. So this Kanato is very ooc. Think: isn't talking to teddy even if he still carries it, has a better hold on his temper, isn't trying to kill you constantly... basically just not Kanato.

A baker or a cook would absolutely appeal, dates where they show him how to cook new treats could be fun. Also top tier tea parties man.

Potentially a singer, musician, or dancer could appeal as well with the shared interest of singing being there. If the jealousy Kanato has gets weakened a bit I think that could help him get past his "I sing cuze mum liked it" thing.

I also truly think Kanato is like Laito in wanting something normal after all the abnormal he's lived through.

Subaru

Subaru is by far the closest to being the same amount of traumatized some people I've met irl are. Issues still there with the whole punching walls in anger but the fact he seems to punch walls to avoid hurting people implies he is trying to work on himself but doesn't know how.

Subaru could meet his s/o as a sacrificial bride and I think he's the only one who could. If I remember his route correctly, he isn't nearly as sadistic in the reasoning for his biting, hes also like what 15, 16 looking? He is modelling the only behavior he's seen, and while that doesn't make it right it is less heinous than the others.

I feel the most profound importance for this relationship is someone who will not shout, someone with a healthy enough up bringing to view arguments as Subaru approaches them as entirely useless. He will probably still have tantrums at first but having someone entirely unwilling to let communication break down on their end will push Subaru to do the same.

Subaru also does not seem to actually want much at all. He just wants a break, poor thing. If the S/O were to be a sacrificial bride, I think he'd be the one to pull a run away. I don't see Karl caring much here, Subaru is just a consequence of his vile habits as far as Karl is concerned.

From there I do think it's just a normal therapist and probably turning the S/O to a vampire.

Ruki

oh look what we have here. An endgelord.

Seriously Ruki infuriates me from a character point at times. They are meant to be somewhat foils to the Sakamakis, and for Ruki in particular his behavior is a mirror to Reiji and his ego is closer to Ayato but with Reiji type mannerisms.

So he likes reading, came from nobility but saw the absolute worse of humanity to then re-find a reason to care for others with his brothers. Ok cool, then he dies in an attempt to escape to then have Karl take pity on him and revive him as his subordinate. SO WHY DOES HE HATE POOR PEOPLE!?

Like whenever I sit down to think about it Ruki's sheer cruelty lines up with nothing other than abused children turn into abusers which is a dog-shit and wrong opinion. Like he doesn't have to be pally, he can be a kuudere, he can be jaded. But having him be so sadistic just makes him what he hated, a spoiled rich man taking joy in using his power over others.

But this is about suited partners. So for this fucker I prescribe what he wishes he was. Now this is the material worth much more work and maybe it will get that, I am currently uncertain.

So, let's be real that orphanage still existed after the Mukamis. So my little world I've made with all that maladaptive day dreaming I do. In that world just to show Ruki as not as above everyone as he thinks, his soulmate type S/O as well as some if not all the other S/Os were there either at the same time or sequentially. Ruki got his escape plan from the work of a girl he viewed as too stupid to pull it off, aka S/O. When the boys escape obviously torture happens to see if anyone knows anything, and the boys failed the escape. This is used by the S/O to advise her sisters to change course slightly.

They do escape and Karl realizes very quickly he got the less advantageous group in terms of strategy. He would more than likely approach these girls, maybe they stay human for quite a while but eventually do need to be turned for the pure sake of time.

So Ruki gets introduce when he comes to visit Karl to update on the whole Eve thing only to see S/O. Standing there talking with Karl as if you're equals as he's laughing at some comment. Karl introducing them as his right hand man so to speak. Seeing that you get to live with Karl and you glaring.

After some prodding due to jealousy causing him to take out his insecurities on you in the form of unwanted commentary, you snap. You openly call him out on his failings, how you are what he wishes he was and how you don't masquerade as the same tormentors that made both your childhoods hell.

Eventually (I'm not giving a whole slow burn fic away for free people), he gets whipped something bad. Having to face the fact that he is exactly what he judges in humans so much. I don't imagine many would forgive him, hence why S/O to me cannot be anyone other than such a strong person to have survived and still be so openly kind.

No dialogue here so I can pretend these all got fair treatment.

Yuma

So big boy farmer. His sadism doesn't fully track with me same as Ruki but Yuma has more redeeming character traits that offset the cruelty. He also seems to truly only carry out the Eden project due to loyalty to Karl, he is a fiercely loyal person.

As said for Ruki I love the idea of the Mukami S/Os being sisters from the orphanage. Yumas S/O would probably also have a strong sense of loyalty to Ruki's S/O. The main exception being her loyalty to Karl does not cause her to be in any way sadistic. While Karl is fully ready to drop kick a child the S/O does not see that behavior appropriate at all regardless of her vampire-ism.

Having to deal with pining for a girl who will not date him as he currently treats women may cause him to change for the sake of placating her sure. But once identities are revealed and Yuma learns that the reason the S/O is so anti-cruelty is due to the orphanage I think Yuma would be one of the ones more open to change. Like Ruki, the reflection isn't so nice once the glass was polished.

He just wants a farm and probably kids or dogs lets be real here.

Kou

Once again an edgelord. Who doesn't at all understand give and take as much as he harps on about it. I may have low enough standards to crush on these boys but a hypocrite is TOO LOW.

I'm sounding like a broken record here but a fellow orphan escapee S/O as the vector for Kou getting called out on his bs is great.

Also full on enemies to lovers vibes. One little head canon is what if the S/O at the request of Karl gave up an eye, the eye then enchanted for Kou. Having to stand across from someone who will not buy the excuse of his trauma being an acceptable reason to harm others. Because you lived through it all, if not worse and still gave up an eye free of charge because Karl had this protegee who was so sad about not having two eyes.

I think Kou's love would not start until near a century after. Having to see you again and again after the introduction, seeing how you and your sister's are Karl's jewels as you are so effective because of your humanity. He's prone to envy let's be frank.

But once he opens up to the fact he could change and be like you, maybe after having to work with you, he begins to warm up to it all.

Azusa

Azusa is one like Kanato that I am unsure if I know how to treat.

The love of pain of his would put so much emotional labor on an S/O that just isn't fair. The only relationship I would feel comfortable writing on would be a post therapy and self work Azusa who doesn't make masochism his main personality trait.

He is gentle in disposition so a gentle S/O would match well. Or maybe an extroverted S/O to bring him out his shell a bit, post masochism recovery.

Yeah if any Azusa fans read this and have ideas please write you own and sent it to me I am really curious of seeing this from the perspective on someone who has a connection to him.

Classmate edition!

- Class presiden’t. He has the vibes of a class president but isn’t the actual president. I fee like Shu would decline even if the whole class wanted him as president.

-Teachers’ fave. I can imagine Shu just minding his own business, reading away, and then suddenly the teacher calls him to answer the question a classmate failed to answer. He’s not arrogant about it though, sometimes he even gets them wrong but he apologizes immediately and states that he has much to learn. The exact reason why the profs love him lots.

-Shu is one of the best seatmates! Don’t have your book? Scoot a little closer and he’ll share with you. Need some trouble with a math problem? He’s there to help. Need a cough drop, pen, paper, paracetamol, and a whole house? he has it in his bag. Everyone at the start of the school year prays that they’ll be seated next to Shu. Did I mention he smells great?

-Lunches with him. He usually packs his lunch and eats with you. On most days you guys sit somewhere a bit more breezy and quite since you guys like to have silent time and a break from your rowdy classmates. 

“Y/N, why don’t we eat near that tree today! Its not too hot outside today so I think it’ll be pleasant.”

Sure enough it was. You guys always enjoy your lunch break with each other, sometimes even bringing the other person a little dessert or snack. So cute!

- Going Home. Shu is really the sweetest. When you guys are going home he ALWAYS follows the sidewalk rule! He tries not to be to obvious about it and hopes you don’t point out anything (babu is shy). Although he can’t go home with you all the time he makes sure you’re home safe, you are a good friend of his after all . He knows some of his friends take the same route as you so he asks them if they don’t mind looking after you as well (ofc without you knowing hehe). Tells you to immediately text him when you get home and reminds you to rest first before taking a bath.

-Summer Break. Messages you and asks if you want to hang out. Honestly he just misses you since he hasn’t seen you in two weeks.

You picked the arcade. It’s so much fun!! You remember that after every exam you guys would go to the arcade to celebrate and memories of Shu’s radiant smile immediately warms your heart. Honestly, you wish there was. You always thought “Oh, Shu’s future partner will be so lucky,” silently hoping that it was you. 

Discarding your romantic feelings toward the man was hard, you kept asking the universe to stop giving their least experienced player the hardest quests but alas! Here you are. Infront of the arcade you and Shu frequent. Silently hoping he doesn’t show up so your heart doesn’t go crazy and you live another day. But it’s Shu we’re talking about, the oh-so lovable Shu. 

The Shu that takes your breath away.

The Shu that will always help you with your homework.

The Shu that will always reach out to you first when it comes to group projects.

The Shu whose whole family loves you so much so that sometimes they tell Shu to bring another bento for you.

The Shu you spend all night playing online games with.

Maybe he’ll be your Shu one day.

Your thoughts get interrupted by the sorcerer himself, Shu Yamino.

“Y/N! I bought you a _____ shake on the way here. It’s a bit melted because of the heat, hope you don’t mind.” You shake your head, smile, and take the shake he was offering you. You hugged him as a sign of gratitude and just because you missed him, even if he drove you crazy.

Shu froze for a bit. It was quite strange, the feeling that Shu felt. It was like any normal hug though, you guys hugged plenty of times! Why now does he feel like he doesn’t want to let you go.

The hug that felt like minutes came to an end as you pulled away from him and dragged him into the arcade. With a bag of tokens in each of your hands you guys spend hours and hours inside the arcade. Hours spent having so much fun with the person you love, hours creating memories to cherish forever.

You wanted to switch thing up. Although anywhere with him feels like the best place on earth, you wanted to create a new core memory with him. 

“Shu, wanna go watch the sunset?”

Boing boing boing. A basketball falls to the floor, a ball that Shu was supposed to shoot but due to shock he just froze. Realizing what the did, he picks up the ball and returns in to the machine, dusting off his hands afterwards.

“Sure!” He smiles. That sounds sweet, said his inner thoughts. Shu returned the favor, this time he was the one who took you by the hand and dragged you outside to watch the sunset. 

The mall you guys frequent is actually close to the sea. The back of the mall overlooks the vast ocean and the sun happened to be setting in that direction. Hurried steps came from the both of you as you rush outside to make sure that you would see the sunset. It confused you though. The fact that Shu, instead of letting your hand go once you got out of the arcade had intertwined them instead. You weren’t complaining. Not at all. But this gave you the idea that maybe the feelings you thought were once one sided weren’t as one sided as you thought. 

“Ey, we’re here!” Shu says as you guys get close to a railing which gave you the perfect view of the sunset.

“Yeah,” you slowly say as you catch your breath. “We made it just in time.”

The sun slowly began to leave your sight, it looked like it was lowering itself into the ocean, leaving shades of red and orange behind. 

How pretty. Both of you thought. Your eyes remain on the setting sun and Shu’s sight remains on you.

He readjusts his grip on your hand, reminding you that he was still holding it. 

You took your eyes off of the sunset and looked him in the eyes. He looked so happy. So at peace with himself.

“Shu, your hand.” he maintains eye contact with you and just says “hmm?” 

“Your hand.” You say again, this time lifting your intertwined hands. 

He just smiles and holds your hand tighter. Suddenly it felt warmer. And suddenly you found yourself in Shu’s embrace.

She is very weird about entering the women's bathroom. She's supposed to be a detective, but is letting a sign deter her, whereas Kyoko, the detective from the first game, doesn't give any shits about going into the men's bathroom. She gets very flustered about going in one near the end of the game, to the point where it made me think that she was having her own internal battle that she did not want to unpack at that moment.

There's also an optional Love Hotel scene with Gonta where Gonta has Shuichi fill the role of a lady so he could practice being a gentleman. At some point, Gonta stopped that and just referred to Shuichi as Shuichi, and she gets visibly jarred by this. "Am I not supposed to be a lady?" Is something she says. Wow.. maybe she didn't wanna drop that role for some reason..... hmmm...

a thought has occurred to me: the Seven Shus in HI3rd Part 2 would make a perfect D&D group!

In both ways too: the Seven Shus as characters in a D&D campaign, but also the Seven Shus just chilling at Thelema's mansion or smth playing D&D (as unlikely as it would be in canon, I imagine it'd make for a killer fanfic lol)

i was thinking about this because of the recent Thelema web event, and this morning I watched a video talking about fantasy taverns (largely in a historical context, then swtiching to a D&D context). and one of the things the guy was talking about was how nobles might be invested in supporting a local adventuring party, in exchange for being able to use them for special tasks.

and it hit me: Thelema is like, a perfect example of that. Not only is she a cunning noble with the skill to navigate upper society, she also has the willingness (and the power) to get down and dirty with matters.

Thelema would be such an interesting D&D character because she's superficially treated as a hedonist but in reality she's really pragmatic and thoughtful, so there's plenty of room for both fun and serious shenanigans. As for personal motives, she's totally capable of evil, but she doesn't senselessly cause harm (so she wouldn't be a murder hobo type). So she'd be very capable of doing questionable things, but she'd also perfectly willing to save the world if such a thing was in her interests.

While I haven't drawn up a complete character sheet for her, I at least have these ideas in mind:

I imagine she'd probably be a rogue with a noble background. The noble background is obvious; as for her being a rogue, I think her combat style in HI3rd gives off some of those vibes what with her chain-sword being used almost like a pair of daggers, just with a lot of extra pizzazz.

Checking the online D&D wiki I also see there's a "soul knife" rogue archetype which might fight Thelema's domination skills. Though, she also fits two other archetypes, Inquisitive & Mastermind, quite well. So idk which I'd pick if I had to choose just one since she has both psychic talent and incredible people/diplomatic/manipulative skills, lol

I could also see her being a sorcerer with Shadow Magic, but that might also be a better fit for a different Shu.

I haven't put enough thought into the rest of the Shus to give this same in-depth analysis but I at least wanted to get these ideas for Thelema out there!

However, I do have some preliminary thoughts for the classes of some of the other Shus:

Songque would probably be something to do with Illusion magic- following the book strictly she'd probably be a Wizard, but I imagine if the DM was a bit loose with the rules then she could be the Shadow Sorcer instead of Thelema; that also fits quite well with how we meet her in HI3rd!

Lantern could be a Ranger in the Hunter Conclave. It'd also be really funny if she refused to use any of the spells she learns, since we know she's adamant about her abilities being her own skill & training instead of being related to the shadows.

Litost gives Oathbreaker Paladin vibes, but idk enough about him or Oathbreaker Paladins to say for sure x-x

Ajita would be an Artificer, duh.

Serapeum could be a Druid (Dreams circle) or Wizard (Enchantment school), both seem fairly fitting for her powers of unity.

Baiji would be none other than the Dungeon Master! he gives DM vibes ngl, and it'd be really funny if the rest of the Shus were actual characters but Baiji was just a disembodied voice speaking at the rest of the gang

I’ve guessed that shu probably is someone who will have different aura (or vibes (?)) when he’s getting serious. Like the moment he’s starting to assert his dominance, that’s it.

After hearing this, I couldn’t help but imagine dom!shu getting really really mad to protect his lover or something like that. Like probably when u guys having a date or something. Or you trying something new like going to a club or something. Doing something that you both never done as a couple, like this is out of your routine. Imagine when you decide to have a date on a club, you both just want to have some fun: a drink or two and dancing on the dance floor, enjoying the music and vibe? You probably going out with your friends as well (the more the merrier ritee). And then there’s this one guy who start to flirt with you, trying to woo you when you are alone (because maybe shu is getting drinks for you two while the others are dancing on the dancefloor). But anyway, this guy is persistence, he’s making you uncomfortable even though you have nicely ask him to back off.

Annnd, at some point, shu sees it and all hell break loose. He will start to assert his dominance to protect you. He won’t back down until the other party says sorry or leave you both alone.

(nsfw) Anyway, i couldnt help but to imagine if he’s somehow able to be mean in bed. Like, when he’s unable to control his raging jealousy after what happened at the club. He probably gonna do you for hours until you remember nothing but his name and until he’s calm down enough lmao skksks

you and shu decide to step out of your comfort zones a little for today's date and go to a club. it was lovely at first, getting drinks and dancing with shu on the dance floor.

you giggle as shu hugged you close to him, with a big smile on his face as the song ends and the next one begins. the both of you then leave the dance floor to take a break from dancing.

"who would've thought we're both amazing dancers?"

"nah babe. you're the dancer not me." shu sees you panting a little and asks, "you want me to go get some more drinks?"

you nod, "yeah that would be great babe, thank you!"

shu smiles and says as he walks away, "i'll be right back, stay here okay?"

you take your phone out and start scrolling through twitter while waiting for shu to return.

"hey, do you wanna get some drinks with me? it's on me." you hear a voice from beside you so you take your attention off your phone to see a young man beside you. from his looks, you'd guess he was around the same age as you.

you smile and say, "oh, no thank you. i have someone getting me drinks already."

the man continues, "oh that's okay then. i saw you across the the club and felt an immediate connection with you. you're really pretty."

an unsettling feeling starting bubbling up within you when the man said that, you give him an awkward smile and say, "thanks."

"are you single? if so, can i grab your number?"

"no i have a boyfriend actually and he's the one getting drinks for me." you say, hoping that the man would leave you alone after that.

the man's face dropped for a split second before he regained his cheery and flirty disposition. the man continued hitting on you and would constantly try to touch your arm or your waist. you were feeling incredibly uncomfortable and prayed for shu to get back soon.

fact is, shu saw this go down from a distance. after he turned his back towards the bar, he saw this random guy hitting on his partner. he saw the uncomfortable look on your face and it made his blood boil, he starts walking over to the both of you. when he gets there he clears his throat, "i'm back babe, sorry i took so long."

he gently pulls you away from the man so that you're standing closer to him. one of his hands made its way to your waist, holding you close to him.

"you knew they were taken. why are you still trying to coerce them into having a drink with you?"

the man looked at shu and laughed nervously, "ah i'm so sorry. i thought they were just using it as an excuse to not get a drink with me."

"even then, even if they weren't my partner, if someone tells you no, respect their decision and stop pushing yourself onto them. that's disgusting and you should feel ashamed for acting like that. my partner felt very uncomfortable from your advances, so i think you should apologise to them."

the man laughed nervously again and tried to weasel himself out of the situation but shu insisted and glared at him. the man eventually apologised and left quickly afterwards.

shu brought you into his arms and held you close, "you feeling okay? he was such an asshole, i'm sorry you had to deal with that alone."

you hum, "i'm feeling okay babe don't worry. thank you for telling him off." the both of you finished your drinks and headed home. during the ride home, you saw that shu was gripping the steering wheel tighter than usual, the veins on his hands and arms were more prominent. his jaw was clenched and he wore a serious expression.

once you stepped into the comfort of your house, shu grabbed your hands and gently pushed you against the wall. your eyes widened and you gasp, "b-babe?"

"the thought of that guy hitting on you and making you feel so uncomfortable makes me so mad. i should have asked you to come along with me, i'm sorry i left you there alone. i just figured that maybe people would be decent enough to leave you alone after you reject them." shu says in a gruff voice.

you let out a little moan as shu attached his lips to your neck, sucking on it.

Shu would so be into Sleeping Beauty. I mean, she exhibits a trait he loves most--sleeping! If he was Prince Phillip, he wouldn't kiss her to wake her up, he'd just crawl into bed next to her and call it a day. I suppose that's as far as rescuing goes for him lmao.

Reiji would mostly stick be into the classics such as Cinderella or Belle. They both provide this charm that Reiji can't explain. Their softly colored gowns make heads turn, their soft but sharp features--oh yeah, they're calling our bae Rei alright.

Laito would be into either Jasmine or Ariel, mostly because of their free spirits and their rebellion towards the norm of marriages in their cultures. Laito loves this trait in a girl, so these two would definitely be his type. Plus, considering they're not wearing the common poufy princess dresses and show their midriffs, he's definitely sold.

Snow White is Kanato's weakness. The girl has got the most porcelain-like features it's crazy, and we all know how much Kanato's into that. She also possesses a lot of soft aesthetics that he's into as well. Plus, the whole cottage-core vibe this girl has goin' on, it's more than enough to make him yearn for her.

Hmm... Ayato would be into several princesses--Elena of Avalor, Moana, Phocohantus, and Rapunzel. These women scream adventure and he's into this. A girl he can rendezvous with is definitely his type.

For Subaru, it's Merida. She's definitely not the typical princess and that's what makes her so interesting to him. Her rebellion, fighting for what she wants, and always learning from a previous perspective are things he admires in a girl and finds attractive.

I'm into western astrology and I just want to speak on the astrology of the DL boys real quick. Some of the characters embody their given zodiac sign while others don't fully but that could be because of the birth charts, rejet obviously did not give us the year or time of birth all of them were born so I can't go in depth however I will list a few things for each DL boy.

Shu: His given sun sign is Libra. Libras are very social and friendly as well as fickle, but they do have a great sense of judgement. Shu is def an air or even a water sun sign I just don't think Libra suits him. What would be more suitable for Shu would be an early July Cancer, due to the fact that when this sign is depressed, they will make that their personality trait for the rest of their lives, a libra wouldn't.

Reiji: I think making Reiji a virgo was the most genius thing ever. He is a definition virgo, straight from the book, he loves organization and logic. He is a problem solver and dislikes unnecessary bullshit. And his comebacks are so killer.

Ayato: He makes perfect aries. Aries are known to be super loud and chaotic but in reality they are super sensitive and passionate as well, they sometimes struggle with understanding their own feelings and I think Ayato conveys that very well, Aries will always be positive even if the world is ending.

Kanato: I think Kanato should have been an Aquarius, he has a unique style that only an Aquarius can pull off and he is brutally honest like an Aquarius as well, he's quick to anger. Now you can argue and say but Aries are always angry, no they are not, they get pissed and frustrated but its not as scary as when an aquarius or cancer gets pissed off. Aries does not suit him.

Laito: He is the definition of a pisces man, Laito is highly intuitive and can read people like books, he understands how thoughts work very well, he's also quite imagintaive like a pisces.

Subaru: Perfect. Lonely serial killer vibes like a true scorpio.

Ruki: I think Ruki being a Taurus is actually perfect as well. Taurus are very maternal and Ruki gives off the vibe with his brothers the most, also he enjoys cooking and reading for his pastimes, he's homebody for the most part and has known what it's like to live in luxury.

Kou: He should have been a gemini with those crazy mood swings. Yui was super scared in his MB route to piss him off, it was like walking on eggshells with him. Kou also is very social and good at faking it just like a gemini, he also is quick to offer something like a Gemini would.

Yuma: 100% a leo, he thinks a head like a leo would, he's the first person anyone would look at in a room as well and it's not just because he is tall, it's because of that leo energy.

Azusa: an October Scorpio is correct, the amount of detrimental damage Azusa does to himself it just explains a lot.

Carla: He should have been a Capricorn or Scorpio, manz was vengeful and formidable in his planning. Making him a gemini made no sense, I really think Rejet just said a random ass day.

Shin: He should be a Sag, making him an april taurus made no sense to me. Sag's are more adventurous but get shit done, and I think Shin was more on that spectrum.
