Next chapter is up! It kind of fell right around both Iruka’s birthday and Mother’s Day in my country (both 26th May) and it has both Iruka and Kaida’s mother. Cute coincidence 😁

I love putting in headcanons/fanons into the story so this time there are two (just an easter egg really) about Iruka. Both known and old as time:

1. Iruka is a Seals Master and Konoha’s Seals Specialist (especially after Jiraya’s death). And in my AU he would easily be a tokujo if he wanted to (I am a sucker for BAMF Iruka!) but he decided not to because he prefers to be a sensei and work at the Academy, and going up in rank would force him to focus on active duty more.

2. His kekki genkai/special jutsu aka echolocation. I love different takes on that skill and I had to put it in as well (Even if just one sentence). In my AU he has it from his mother Kohari (who was an ANBU and Kaida’s genin sensei) but because his parents died he never got that proficient in it as she had been. Which is a shame but feels fairly realistic.

I also love the headcanon that Iruka’s parents are from Uzushio (and that’s why he is so good with seals and barriers) and if I write Iruka more that would be certainly true for him in my AU.

Aw MAN tiktok mischaracterizes Scaramouche so much. Specifically as Wanderer (I sometimes see it with Scaramouche too).

(TW as I do mention abusive topics)

I've genuinely seen people go full force on the "oh, Wanderer would bully my whole team. Wanderer would be so mean! Wanderer—" and it's just. NO? Wanderer is a significantly mellowed out Scaramouche. If anything he wouldn't entirely give a damn about anyone he works with as long as they aren't ridiculously insufferable or take personal offense to what he calls brutal honesty. Instead of him literally physically harming or abusing the people who annoy him (like he would as the Balladeer), he just says a snarky comment. Like, I'm sorry, I don't think he's going to beat up your Freminet, or Mika.

Scaramouche is the type who would snap on one of them, especially since as the Balladeer, he saw little to no worth in humans (i mean come on, he turned on his two fatui agents in an instant when they said one thing that angered him. He was also implied a lot of the time to be an insufferable Harbinger). Wanderer is not the same. Wanderer probably still has a deep-rooted disdain, yes, it'd be hard to fully overcome something he believed in for so many decades, but he's well past taking his frustrations out on other people like that. He's literally trying to AMEND the horrific actions he's done. He wouldn't add more to it. Not to mention, he likely has a promise made to Nahida, who was willing to help him, to try his best to grow and change as a person, even if he doesn't think he can.

Now talking about Scaramouche in general, people amp up Scaramouches more toxic traits by twenty notches. Scaramouche is a toxic person. I will fully admit that. When I consider how lower Fatui agents act around him, he's definitely an awful person. But on the same hand, I don't think he'd be the sort who'd be abusive in romantic encounters. You're telling me, this man who was desperate for love and admiration and acceptance, would be beating and killing anyone who even dates him? Personally, I don't think so. I feel like he'd unintentionally be a bad partner. Perhaps saying things he shouldn't, or being distant, as he hasn't experienced anything positive or real since he was the Kabukimono. The Harbingers are all fake to eachother, so it's not like he's really used to having to be fully himself with another person. But I don't think he'd beat or maim his partners.

Maybe I'm blinded by my adoration for this character, but, I just don't get how some people look at him and go "Yeah that man would absolutely BEAT that traumatized teenager standing next to him for breathing the wrong way."

I love cyberpunk and vampires so one day I was like WHY NOT BOTH??? and here we are!

The characters really do mean a LOT to me. I thought about cutting them down to 4 ROs when I came back to streamline things a bit but I just couldn't sacrifice anyone. Even Emery, who got the least amount of buzz back in the old days (like, barely any), is really special to me and if you take them out of the story there's just a massive hole.

So: more work, but my heart is happy so it's a win!

Now for the questions!

Customisation: I can't have a vampire/cyberpunk game without a bunch of customisation. For base customisation at the start of the game, here's an example of the type of MC you can create. It's basically mix and match with gender/sexuality/body parts/colours:

Since you've been in captivity for 20 years eating whatever they fed you, your body type will be slim with the option for being toned from working out in your cell, BUT there's an option to play the flashbacks/origin chapters with whatever body type you want your MC to have had.

Later in the story is when other customisation unlocks for your hairstyle, clothes, piercings, tattoos, mods, etc. I can't promise all of these will be ready from the get-go, but as I go along I plan to add in more and more bits, so people are free to make suggestions!

As for gender and sexuality, there's definitely flavour text, for the MC personally and for the romance routes. Some characters haven't been with specific genders before, etc, so there'll be some text in there to reflect that.

For the MCs who chose to be trans, you won't be treated differently but there'll be, again, some flavour text. Whatever gender affirming care you want your MC to have had they had in the past, and in this universe the decision is permanent unless chosen otherwise, so there's no situation where a trans MC will be without HRT while in captivity or anything.

As I said, you can mix and match genitals and whatever, so the option for gender-affirming care are really just a way to say, specifically, if you changed your body as a part of your journey as a trans person. It stays vague so you can headcanon. This is for flavour text in Origin flashbacks where the people in your life supported your gender-affirming care.

You can still choose to be a cis AFAB with a penis. Because like, cyberpunk. And just...life. The trans option is just there for those who want to use it. I worked through this with a trans friend of mine but PLEASE I am SO open to healthy criticism so if I overlooked anything don't be afraid to share your thoughts on how this system can be improved!

Aaaaaaaaaand the love triangles/poly routes. I'll do a post on its own for that but here's the rundown, briefly:

A: That's not a very accurate description, Izutsumi is a beastkin who was created using ancient magic by fusing the soul of a 6 year old child with the soul of a cat monster known as a greater cat. She's not "A cat that was turned into a human" nor a "human that was turned into a cat" as my understanding goes she was both and now she's still both, spoilers but the plot twist of the Lycion extra is that she can never be fully human again (there's more monster than human so she can't transform between the forms like Lycion)

Q: Why did Fleki get brain damage when her Familiar got destroyed and Marcille didn't?

A: Probably has something to do with the complexity of the familiar and the strength of the connection, lots of people sent some theories pleas check the familiars tag if you wanna read up.

Q: What does the tattoos mean? What do Magic Tattoos do? Only beastmen have tattoos?

A: Those are Magic Tattoos, they work as a supplement for magic, I assume similar to magic circles or magic runes they use in other places in the anime, they aren't necessarily only for beastmen

Hey, since you said it was fine to send asks, and it will take me a while to comment the recent chapters, I'm taking this as my chance to proclaim my love for Li. Like go off lil' one, act as an abused child lashing out instead of the miniature saint your sibling described.

Jokes aside, I guess she's based on the popular fanon interpretation of Azula as a 'psychopath'? After seeing your post about Lio, I'm really curious about what went in her creation, and can't wait to see how she is in present day and how she will interact with Azula and the Gang. If she's still alive. Especially because I don't really take Azula's visions as gospel truth, but neither Lio's tales so I really want to see if the real Li swings more on one side or the other or if both versions are true at the same time.

I'm glad you like Li, here's some concept art from @oakyvii of the siblings Li and Lio. You are one hundred percent correct that Li is just fandom Azula.

Specifically the tendency of people to try to armchair diagnose Azula with some form of aspd or sociopathy in order to invalidate the abuse she faced as a child and how it played a role in shaping who she is. The popular "Azula sets turtleducks on fire" headcanon that's not substantiated in the show whatsoever.

The way that these bad faith interpretations want to use Azula's mental illness as a sign of some sort of internal wrongness in her. Proof she was always bad from the beginning, because as a child she was a little bit off-putting and demonstrated low empathy.

One of my biggest objectives with this blog is deconstructing "Good Victim / Bad Victim." I believe the origin is a lot of those armchair diagnosis of Azula is that people want to downplay Azula's victimhood in comparison to Zuko's. Instead of making Azula and Zuko both victims who react differently to the same abuse because they are different people, and there's no right way to react to the abuse Azula was just a psychopath all along. People want to make Azula into a mini-ozai who was like that from the beginning.

It sort of runs contrary to the whole idea of Zuko's redemption arc, because instead of Zuko having to work hard to be a better person every day of his life. To make this narrative that Zuko was innately good all along, just misguided and Azula was a sociopath who lit turlteducks on fire at the age of eight. Zu

Good and Bad Victim is bad because it assigns moral values for how people react to trauma, and usually the people who are assigning that value are people who've never been under the same trauma. Therefore it creates this expectation that people have to endure pain with saintlike in patience. If you're a victim the moral thing to do is to shut up and take it, and definitely do not make a fuss for any one else. Good victims can only express their victimhood is socially acceptable and easy to understand waysTM otherwise they're not worthy of human empathy.

This rant is pertinent to Zuko and Azula, because while Zuko does sometimes react to his trauma in ugly and violent ways he's still pretty easy for the audience to empathize with. In the first season he's incredibly incompetent at being evil. Even in season one when he's a straight up antagonist he's part of a charming comedy duo with Uncle Iroh. Zuko can be angry and violent and treat his Uncle and crew poorly, but he never like kicks puppies onscreen or anything. He's marked as the brooding, byronic character, but he's no Heathcliff. He's not even really Spike or Sasuke, he doesn't hurt a beloved character. He never does permanent irreversible harm to a named character. Even Catra from SPOP helps kills Glimmer's mom.

Compare to Azula who in her second episode burns the net underneath Ty Lee tight rope for daring to say no. Ty Lee is someone who both the audience considers a friend and the audience likes, so Azula's treatment of her is incredibly hard to swallow.

Even if you look at the way Zuko is when he's young, in Zuko alone he's made out to be a classic underdog, a soft, put-upon young boy who's desperate to impress his father. Whereas in the same episode people diagnose Azula as a born sociopath because she at eight years old, is already acting like daddy's little child soldier. Nevermind that Zuko, Azula and Ursa all laugh at the burning of Ba Sing Se together. It's easy to empathize with Zuko being a sad, underdog who wants his father's love. It's a bit harder to wrap your head around Azula's disturbing unchildlike behavior even if she's a product of her environment too.

That's actually what I liked about Toya's character in MHA. That Toya is the bad victim of the Todoroki family. That he's incredibly unlikable. He's not a big brother who secretly cares about his younger siblings all along. He's a selfish monster that demands his father's love and will do anything to get it. He was considered the problem maker in his house as a kid, he made a fuss and made things worse even though everyone was telling him to shut up. He yelled at his mother and didn't sympathize with her as much as Shoto did. He was in too much pain to notice everyone else in the house was suffering too.

(That's actually what I like about the Zuko and Azula sibling dynamic too, that Zuko isn't a magically forgiving big brother, that he holds a grudge about Ozai and Azula's treatment, that it's messy on his end even post character development).

This is why I introduced Li into the story, to make a character out of "Fandom Azula" or the way people want to characterize Azula as a sociopath so they don't have to acknowledge her victimhood.

There's one more character Li is based off of, or two more characters really. You could say that Li is based off of fandom Katara. That the fandom has a tendency to simplify women into either wholesome or toxic, nurturing figures or poisonous women. Li is partially based off of that heartbreaking line where Sokka says (I'm paraphrasing) "I can't even remember what my mom's face looks like, I just remember Katara."

Or rather, my idea for Li came from the concept of what if someone was forced into the role of playing mother to take care of the emotional needs of someone else and they got sick of it. What if the emotional labor of having to care for your brother, when you're still a child yourself exhausted you, took everything from you until there was nothing left. Like the darkest possible interpretation for Katara having to step up and parent her brother when their mother died and Bato left for the war.

The reason why Lio is so overprotective and emotinoally dependent on Li, is that Li is practically the one who raised Lio in the place of their missing mother. Li is a parentified child, and all of her problems stem from being a first born daughter expected to be a mother to a brother who's only two years younger than her. Li is also much worse off than Lio since she's illegitimate in court, but she's always had to suppress her own feelings and push her feelings aside in order to take care of her brother's feelings first.

Lio and Li's relationship is a direct mirror for Zuko and Azula's. Both Zuko and Lio don't see their sisters as people. Zuko swings wildly between demonizing his sister as the bad one because she's always had Ozai's favor and he sees Azula as an extension of Ozai's abuse and also putting her on a pedestal for her talent and envying her for it. Whereas Lio pedestalizes their sister as well, by making her out to be a perfect saint. Lio seems to love their sister more, but neither of them seem to see their sisters as fully realized human beings separate from themselves. Lio doesn't even mention Li's name when they're ranting at Zuko, they just call Li "my sister" because that's all they see Li as. An extension of themself.

Li is based off of one more character and that's Tsumiki Fushiguro from Jujutsu Kaisen. If you haven't read Tsumiki is the big sister of one of the main characters. Despite protecting her being Megumi Fushiguro's main motivation, she literally never appears onscreen once, she only ever appears in her brother's flashbacks, and then is brutally butchered by the main villain and fridged for Megumi's character development.

I thought Tsumiki was a missed opportunity because we never got to learn who she was. Megumi put her on such a massive pedestal as his ideal of what a good person was, the person he lived to protect, but in the end she was just a sleeping beauty figure. It didn't matter who she was as a person to Megumi, she just needed to lay there in bed and be helpless so Megumi could continue to play fairytale knight.

I thought about what kind of effect would having your own brother put you on such a big pedestal have on you? What would Tsumiki think about her brother objectifying her? About her brother making the entire reason for his existence protecting her, but not really caring about who she is as a person?

So I decided it would be interesting if Tsumiki wasn't actually that good of a person at all. She never was, that was just Megumi's projection of her. What if he jsut wanted to make her into some like Madonna-like figure, or some pure princess in need of protecting? What if Tsumiki strangled cats when no one was looking? How lonely would it be for Tsumiki if she knew her brother loved her very deeply but the person he loved, wasn't her?

That's basically where the original concept of Li came from. That eventually morphed into making Li into Fandom Azula. She sets turtleducks on fire and strangles cats when nobody's looking. Not only is she a joke about fandom Azula, but she also in story foils Azula by being the monster that everyone thinks Azula is.

Azula tries so hard to deny her own humanity, but Li is just that way naturally. Azula can't go all the way into making herself a weapon, because she isn't Li. She's torn up and broken on the inside because she does feel guilt and know on some level she was wrong. She probably wouldn't have had her mental breakdown if she wasn't capable of feeling guilt like she is. Ursa in confronting Azula in the mirror also points out Azula knows that the way she treated Mai and Ty Lee by trying to control them with fear was wrong, Azula just wont' admit it.

Other people see Azula as Li. Azula tries to be cold and unfeeling like Li, but when faced with the real deal she finds Li to be incredibly disturbing. o the point where eight year old Azula, who was a little bully and good at getting her friends and her brother to do anything she wanted doesn't know what to do with Li. Li's just too offputting to her once she reveals her true nature, she's an unfeeling, dead, thing and Azula doesn't want to be like that.

So yes, Li is fandom Azula. She's just genuinely a sociopath. Now the challenge is to make you guys like her even if she's just a flat sociopath, and I hope I succeed!

Kim and his home / A Meta Rant

Y'know, in a lot of post-canon fics I see for Kimchay, there's sometimes this common theme of Kim refusing to move back home, either because he likes his freedom too much, or he just hates Korn to the point he refuses to share a roof with him.

And tbh, strictly speaking from my own personal experience as an Asian, I've always felt this aforementioned theme to be more in line with a western individualistic mindset, rather than the one the show is more accurately set in: an eastern collectivist mindset.

So I thought I'd talk about it~ Having said that, please do not take this as an attack or critique of anyone or their works, it isn't. Fics are fics, headcanons are headcanons, they're meant to be enjoyed as they are. This is simply an observation I made, so again, I want to yap about it.

See, I am of the opinion that since Chay has moved into the Theerapanyakul compound, it’s actually more in line for Kim to move back into the mansion as well, rather than continue to keep away.

This idea is also foreshadowed by Tankhun when he asks Kim in ep. 5:

But before I continue, here's a theory I've been nursing for a while: technically speaking, if one were to line up how Kim and Chay were left off in the show, and how their story picks up in the first KP novel in that order, we already have some idea of how their story would have gone, had BOC and DAEMI’s working relationship not broken down, they weren't as problematic to work with, and Build didn’t have his scandal(s). 

At the very least, we have the skeletal roadmap of what BOC theoretically would have had to work with, had they been greenlit for a KP season 2.

A short summary of KimChay in the first novel:

During Porchay’s special chapter, Chay secretly follows Porsche to the Theerapanyakul mansion. When he’s at the gates, he makes a show of bravado of justifying why Porsche shouldn’t work there anymore, until Korn sees him. Korn tries to calm Chay down, but to no avail, until Kim pulls up in another car. It’s at this point that Chay mentions being familiar with Kim, and that they have some bad history that was never resolved. Kim corners Chay against the wall like the Theerapanyakul hubby that he is, until Chay kicks him in the nuts for acting all intimidating. 🤣 The special chapter ends with Chay getting dragged away from the compound, unbeknownst to Porsche. Later, Chay moves into the compound around the time Porsche and Kinn are kidnapped. Before facing the kidnappers, Kinn had told Chay to get ahold of Pete and ask for help, hence why Chay is brought to the compound in the first place. Presumably, this would also be around the same time he gets reacquainted with Kim (and most probably makes up with him). During the kidnap scene, Kinn tells Chay to call Pete and ask for back up. The next time we see Chay, he's visiting Porsche in the hospital, and Kim volunteers to take him home (as in, back to the Theerapanyakul mansion); it's implied that they've been spending quite a bit of time together, if Porsche's comments about it throughout the rest of the novel aren't indication enough. The rest of the story has them appearing here and there, mostly when Chay is complaining about the prospects of Kim cheating and/or no longer being in love with him. Lol There are some especially important moments between Chay and Porsche when they talk about their circumstances, but I don't want to spoil that scene in this rant too much.

In the show however, Chay's moving into the Theerapanyakul household is delayed later in the show's adaptation of the events, and he doesn't move in until the incident with his own kidnapping. By the end of the show, he's seen to be firmly ensconced in the Theerapanyakul compound, as we see in his last two scenes.

Focusing on Porchay's special chapter and his mention of the "bad history" between him and Kim in the novel, I'd always wondered if BOC had taken that line from the book and just ran with it, yknow? It would make sense (to me personally, at least), since Kimchay's story is different in the novel when compared to the show.

Although their stories are different, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they contradict each other. And with the first official art of the KimChay novel having been released, it’s clear now that DAEMI/Tiara_ME intend to incorporate the show’s KimChay story into their own (to what extent, who knows).

Having said this, let’s get back on topic: the likelihood of Kim moving back into the mansion had KP been greenlit for a season 2.

For a little bit of cultural context, I'll bring up three points (very generalized, mind you).

In Asia, the idea of children moving out once they’re 18 (or older, depending on the country’s age of consent laws) is very much a western concept. Most children in Asia don’t leave their family homes until they’re married, and even then, they sometimes still opt to live with their parents along with their spouse, so they can save money to buy their own in the meantime. In fact, a lot of Asian households can also have multiple generations living under one roof (I myself am also in this situation, at least part of the time when I go home overseas). That's not to say that children moving out early, or running away, or getting kicked out from home is unheard of, but for the most part, it's a rarer scenario compared to how normalized it is in the US.

For all that Kim goes behind Korn’s back, outwardly and at least towards his two elder brothers, Kim is a good son, in so far at least that he’s willing to go undercover in order to figure out the stink of what his family is connected to. He is loyal to his family—he’s protective over Kinn, and he’s gentle in how he interacts with Tankhun. Despite having moved out, the bored ease with which he strides into the compound shows that he visits often enough that it’s not an uncommon occurrence; the deference the bodyguards show him also supports this theory.

And finally, perhaps the strongest clue: when Chan tells him that Korn wants to see him at the end of ep 13, Kim cannot bring it in himself to disobey his father, no matter his own desire to go after the Kittisawasds. No matter what suspicions Kim may have of his father, at the end of the day, as my previous point—he is a good son, a filial one (all of them are, tbh). He doesn't outwardly show disagreements against Korn, and even during that tense meeting between them in ep 5, Kim shows some level of affection by bringing his father food. And yes, while I do agree that a lot of his smiles and behavior towards Korn is just for show, it doesn't change the fact that Kim doesn't want to disrupt the family harmony amongst them. At the very least—he actively chooses not to be the cause of that disruption.

So, with this context in mind, I’m of the opinion that Kim is more likely to move back into the compound, rather than continue to keep away. In fact, in the book, this is one of the big themes with Kim and Porchay: it’s due to Chay’s presence at the Theerapanyakul household that Tankhun comments about how Kim is often at home now.

The way I see it, Kim moved out because he had the luxury to do so. And I don’t mean this in the way that he’s able to discard his family obligations and pursue his own dreams, not at all.

I mean it in the most basic sense: Kim—or rather, the Theerapanyakuls—have the financial luxury to allow for Kim to move away. For any person that age, who wouldn’t choose to have their own space if they could honestly afford to do so? Besides that, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that the apartment complex Kim lives in is owned by their family, hahaha! But I digress!

Getting back on point: Kim is most likely to move back in, because he now has a reason to do so, that being Chay.

I've always been of the belief that throughout this couple's story in the show and all the way from the beginning, it was always Chay unknowingly stepping into Kim’s world of the mafia and becoming further involved, not just because of his brother, but more because of Kim’s growing feelings for him.

And then by the end of the show, how it makes for a resounding statement that it’s Kim who reaches out to Chay: he’s now the one stepping into Chay’s world—which just happens to be the world of the mafia.

In that sense, it’s Chay’s presence that ultimately brings/keeps Kim home, literally and figuratively. The way I see it, the fact that it's Chay's singular, enduring presence that would be the one to inspire Kim to come home is what makes their love story a powerful one, and one that can measure up equally to the other two.

• 100% started writing fanfiction for 'Biotic Wars' because there was only two works in the whole fandom and they were both illiterate/ooc

• It started as a challenge because he likes writing as a hobby so he made a random account on Tumblr and wrote a one-shot from Tigers POV just for shits and giggles

• He didn't expect literally anyone to read it, maybe a couple notes

• Then around his lunch break the next day his phone won't. Stop. Dinging.

• Long story short, he ends up with an account with like. 1.1k followers

• Once he realizes he has a serious reader base, he takes his blog seriously

• He spends a weird amount of time perfectly curating his blogs aesthetic with mods and whatever extentions he can find

• Personally commissions other fans for his fanfic borders, proper gifs, etc. He has one fanfic actually illustrated for Kinktober and it stays at the top of the 'Biotic War' tags for months

• Speaking of Kinktober, literally will not make plans for October/late September because he knows he's gonna aim to post everyday

• Will stay up for days writing when he gets hyperfixated

• Hates posting short fics. If the number doesn't end with a .k he doesn't post it until it does

• Also has a bunch of Easter eggs from his favorite movies and such in his works as well

• Knows an insane amount of copywrite laws because he's had to deal with people illegally selling his works/uploading them on other platforms

• When he eventually gets a partner he initially lies and says he wanted to become a lawyer when he was a kid, thus why he knows so much

• That works for about 12 minutes before he finally breaks down and tells them the truth, then offers to show them his work because he's told literally no one in his personal life about it

• His partner eventually becomes his editor and co-author on certain works (mainly smut)

• Half the time when he's actively working on smut he's gotta stop midway to "test the accuracy" w/ said partner

• Writes OUTRAGEOUS smut that makes him unable to look in the mirror while he's writing it

• Deadass hides under his blankets in total darkness with tape over his computers camera because of the shame

• Has a collection of proofreaders/consultants because his first smut included cervix penetration and he got dragged by basically everyone on Tumblr for it

• Had a work get popular enough one time one of his friends sent it to him because they figured he'd get a kick out of it

• Which made him panic and stop writing for like a month to lay low

• Has a completely different Spotify account for writing because his mom uses his "normal" account even though he has a family plan (side note: they make little playlists for each other :))

• Has like 50 different playlists dedicated to his fics that's available for his readers to listen to

• The artists all range from Deftones to dodie depending on the work

• His top artist is Ayesha Erotica with 2000+ minutes spent on 'Yummy'

• (Also has an impossible amount of hours logged on said Spotify account)

• Has a whole panic attack when he leaves his phone in the 60s because he had a whole new chapter ready to publish in his 20 part hurt/no comfort/slowburn fic that was over 10.k words in his notes app

• Wolf finds his Ao3 account one time and becomes... concerningly obsessed with Futturmans work without realizing Futturman is the author

• It gets to the point Wolf will legit go on 30+ minute rants about the stories while Futturman is just hyperventilating in the corner because he doesn't know how long he can keep up the facade

• It gets worse when Wolf makes an account and starts actually commenting on the works

• However he ends up getting impressive tips from the rants and ends up incorporating his suggestions into his works

• Wolf never stops bragging about this

• His most popular work/series follows a female oc that originally started as a one-shot request for a oc x Wolf fic (which Wolf hates because he says it's OoC. Futturman does not agree nor care.) But ended up getting popular enough there's well over 20 parts

• At some point he, Wolf and Tiger get into a massive argument because he finds a bound copy of all of his works amongst their supplies and no one will confess who's it is and keep blaming each other

• (It's Tigers)

• When he gets to his final timeline he manages to get his all of his drafts back through Susan (who had a lot of questions, and was given no answers) and just publishes his work as an original series since Biotic Wars no longer exists

• "Orginial series" gets insanely popular and now he has like five burner accounts so he can read fanfiction of his own fanfiction

• Writes fanfiction for his own series purposely to fuck with the fanbase

• Usually will make it ooc but well written, but once in awhile comes up with a "headcanon" that will come true in his next book so he can watch the readers implode

• And last but not least

• He casts his other self in the final timeline as the male lead in the eventual movie adaptation. Because of course he would

(Bonus: in the OG timeline when Futturman ends up disappearing, his biggest series ends up never being finished, nor his blog updated. Leading to a weirdly thorough four hour video docuseries made by Wendigoon about the rise and disappearance of the mysterious author and how the 'Biotic Wars' fandom eventually finished the fic themselves and created their own spinoffs, leading the work to get more popular than 'Biotic Wars' ever was and like five different people falsely claiming they wrote it, only to be disproven within an insanely short amount of time. Yeah, kinda a full on My Immortal.)

My X-Files Fanfic

Beneath the Ice, Beneath My Skin (Teen and Up, 9,984 words): My first fic! An alternate version of Ice where Mulder is actually infected by the parasites. Paranoia and tension ensue!

Flight and Sanctuary (Teen and Up, 6,656 words): Scully and Mulder deal with the aftermath of Irresistible. Lots of angst, lots of worry, lots of hurt/comfort. As of the creation of this post, this is my most popular fic.

Salvation (Teen and Up, 7,599 words): Mulder’s perspective during his missing scenes in The Erlenmeyer Flask, followed by how he and Scully cope with the trauma. Very angsty featuring some torture. 2 chapters: one during the episode, one after. The chapters can be read individually or together.

Save Me from the Fire (Teen and Up, 5,672 words): An alternate version of Our Town where Mulder and Scully switch places. Very tense, but also very heartfelt and tender (I hope). A personal favorite of mine.

Piece Me Together (General Audiences, 3,147 words): Scully takes care of Mulder post-731. Introspection and moments of extreme proximity ensue. Probably the most introspection-heavy fic I’ve written.

Caught on Tape (Teen and Up, 4,044 words): Scully finds tapes that Mulder made for her while she was abducted. Very emotional, almost pure angst with a bittersweet ending.

I Hate All of My Habits, But I Happen to Love You (General Audiences, 5,066 Words): A series of vignettes depicting Mulder’s internal monologue throughout some pivotal/my favorite MSR moments, as he slowly realizes he’s falling in love. This fic was a birthday present to myself:)

Raise Your Voices (Teen and Up, WIP): My ongoing multi-chapter fic in which Mulder and Scully go undercover in a community choir. Set in Season 2, featuring lots of fluff, humor, angst, hurt/comfort, and little tidbits about folk music from all corners of the world.

Looking back on MHA volumes of the 1st War, and caught more Advisor details! For one, Hose Face is shown in silhouette right behind Amplivolt during the latter's debut, BUT more importantly, during Edgeshot kicking Amplivolt's ass, you can see Hose Face up in the corner, just dodging out of the way XD IDK why but it's hilarious to see a bulky fack like him just leap outta the way. Also, on closer inspection, by Edgeshot's line, Bindi seems to skirt to a halt just before getting hit?

Re: the silhouette, oh, so he is!  I had never noticed him there!

I feel like I had noticed him in the Edgeshot…shot and didn’t pay much attention because I was more concerned with eyeballing Big Sis Bindi—who indeed, as you say, seems to juuuuust escape impact.

For the readers at home, note how Edgeshot is clearly penetrating through everyone else in this shot, while Hose Face just manages to jump clear and Big Sis Bindi has an impact effect drawn to her right side, as if she's either come to a sharp stop or used a quirk of some sort to protect herself.

I wrote aaaaages ago in Nimble's section of The Headcanon Post on the PLF Advisors[1] that she and Big Sis Bindi were trying to shepherd a group of villa escapees without getting caught by Heroes or Big Sis overexerting herself on a punctured lung. At the time, it was a gamble I was taking based on seeing her here but not in the shot of captured advisors, and I was very vindicated to see her turn up in a later shot of escaped advisors in one of those "Heroes talk about the dangers they're facing" scenes. Feels like somewhere in that time span I maybe took the closer look at this panel and noted that impact skid, but I've forgotten whether I ever talked about it here or just in chat with friends.

...Vindicating to see her turn up, I said, but then of course she went on to show up in zero places I've ever managed to spot in the endgame, much like how Brand is just...ridiculously all over the place, only to, like Bindi, never be shown in a proper fight or getting captured at all.

Eight different chapter appearances over the course of the manga! Eight! And still six if you count only individual different scenes![2] Scarecrow's the clear winner in terms of chapter appearances, but Brand's otherwise right up there with Hose Face, and has rather more than Big Sis Bindi or Nimble. And yet - nothing, give or take the hilarity of the anime showing Wrong Palette Brand getting captured.

That aside, it is funny that Hose Face can be kind of a twinkle-toes despite how bulky he is. Or maybe he just rolled super well on that Dexterity check.

1: Here for the curious, though note this was written almost four years ago, so there are some bits that have been nixed by canon at this point. Not as many as you'd think, though, which I suppose is the thin silver lining of the author resolutely ignoring virtually all of these people.

2: The initial advisor spread (Chapter 258), in the big group charge out of the villa (Ch. 263), a shot of PLF folks presumably following Gigantomachia (first shown in Ch. 283), that same panel being referenced later as Villa escapees (Ch. 296), a shot of threats to be faced in the upcoming second war (Ch. 335), converging on Gigantomachia's prison in the ruins of Jakku - a weird choice, since he won't be allowed to stay there (Ch. 341), and finally twice across two different chapters as part of the army All For One warps in, with the latter being his only scene with speaking lines (Ch. 343 and 345).

Will Jeremy and Michael be involved in the whole "Bully/Bury the Bullly" plan?

Will other BMC characters than the boyfs (platonically in this au surprisingly /j) be important to the story? Or will they get cameos in Hatchetfield even if they're just a small bit

If you were to associate Michael and Jer with the Lords in Black, who is who and why?

A VICTIMLESS CRIME

HI AKIO totally ignoring that ive told a lot of these in dms to you before but GREAT QUESTIONS

- I'm not going to say anything about this because I feel it's spoilery. HOWEVER, I will say, this is one of the parts I thought about the most and how it will go

- I think I've already stated before that Stagedorks is very canon so Christine is important to Jeremy's whole character! And if the parents count then yes, if Rich counts then also yes. Those really are the only characters in BMC that might become or are relevant to the main two.

- Jeremy = Pokotho. Michael = Nibblenephim. I will not elaborate until you give me another ask /j (I have a lot of thoughts about this and I don't want this to be that long)

- MICHAEL MELL AND GRACE CHASITY. They fucking hate each other's guts.

- Yeah! Totally!

- Oh there's a lot I want to say about this but I will wait 'til chapter 1 is done because one important Hatchetfield character is introduced there (He appeared in NMT 1 & 2). But I will say even if he's not that important, the Paul Matthews is Richie Lipschitz Uncle headcanon is part of this story. 'Cause I love Paul Matthews. And of course there's cameos, mentions here and there but I think it'll focus mainly on NPMD characters as I imagine it right now.

- Considering Michael secured 2 more bottles of Mountain Dew Red before coming to Hatchetfield? Yeah, I think Jeremy's traumatized as fuck. The SQUIP isn't such a big part but Jeremy still hears it sometimes and goes into some state of , guilt and shock about the whole thing. He's getting better. Slowly. The events in this AU might not help with that though.

- The ones I'd consider major ships are Stagedorks and Lautski, the minor ones; Kyle Clauger x Brenda? They're sweet. IcedTea/Rolohst? Yeah they're also mentioned. Paulkins? Of course they are !! They aren't really much ships that I want to include besides the main ones because of AVC being focused on Jeremy and Michael's friendship, but I think it's fun to think about!

- I particularly love Jeremy & Ruth, and Michael & Richie. The two loser duos.

MERRY CHRISTMAS part 2!!!!

the rant continues! OkOkok so some important things to know! Me and Try are def going to only be able to post a chapter a month (fingers crossed) because it turns out two people writing and illustrating a comic together is HARD. But do not fear! This is for another art related reason! Me and Try have been busy writing out our own original story and Try (the fantastic human he is) made an ENTIRE Roblox map with all of the houses so we can have references for DAYS! Also me in my personal time have been making (by myself) an OC comic that I’ve wanted to do for a while so yeah! Thank you all so much again, I’m so glad people like our art and story!

Assorted Path of Stars: Book 6, Chapter 3 thoughts

Spotted Fur is introduced in Chapter 3. I like this guy. Falling through the void like Plankton, screaming, and I take a short break to take a sippy of Funny Young Boy Who Likes To Hunt before returning to my descent.

Generating headcanon: Spotted Fur is a distant ancestor of Ashfur and Ferncloud.

I'm taking a picture of him in my mind to use for my own rewrite projects later <3

It's also a big shame btw, like... Spotted Fur is gonna show up again in Moth Flight's Vision as someone deeply in love with Moth Flight who loves her kittens, and she still ends up sending them all away. Ancient Thrushpelt energy, but worse because there wasn't a legitimate reason to give them up.

Speaking of Moth Flight, god. Wind Runner starts yelling at her for being bad at hunting and it's rough. Moth still has her personality in this book, she hasn't unceremoniously lost it by Becoming Mother yet, so it's hard to listen to Wind Runner start ripping into a child who seems to be struggling with ADHD.

I have so many complicated feelings on Wind Runner, many of them boiling down to how I feel like her WHOLE personality is "awful bitch" in the eyes of the writers.

It makes me like her out of spite, ESPECIALLY with how Clear Sky and Gray Wind ALSO treat their kids horribly but the narrative doesn't frame it the same way.

And I see a whoooole lot more people discussing how Wind Runner Bad apropos of nothing, probably because of the framing, putting her in all their "Top 5 Worst DOTC Characters" lists while no one even remembers the times Gray Wing started ranting at Thunder. Or posting "Clear Sky Made Some Mistakes But."

Also, there's a LOT of focus on how this group is only agreeing to help Clear Sky because his kidnapped wife is pregnant. LOTS of talk of "unborn kits" and how she's carrying "my kits" and how they all have a duty to protect the kits. Good thing he knocked her up as quickly as possible, because if she wasn't a vessel for Clear Sky's babies then no one would give a damn, I guess.

Reduced to a reward wife, pregnant, immediately kidnapped. Again, I really hope all those "haha star flower girlboss steal-ur-dad manipulator" takes are coming from people intentionally rejecting the source material, or people who didn't read it at all. Because they're COMPLETELY made up. I worry for the reading comprehension of anyone who unironically had that as a takeaway.

Chapter ends on a cringe line from Gray Wing where he goes, "Thunder always listens to reason if I'm the one reasoning with him!" yeah like how he screeched at Thunder for not wanting to reconcile with his fucking abuser and forced him to go fetch him.

I hope Gray Wing shows up and Thunder punches his face inwards, creating the forest's first persian cat.

Hey, I just wanna say I'm a HUGE ass fan of your South Park works. They're literal blessings oh my god thank you for your amazing existence. I really love how you portray the characters and all these little details and headcanons about them that aren't really addressed in the show in canon. They seem so natural and human, you know? If you don't mind me asking two things about your fanfics; I heard you mentioning once how Creek got you into the show, so how come you never really write about them or mention them in your other fics as often? Is it just that you lost interest and moved on? Also, I'm really interested in your Style fanfic "The Days After I Wished for You." I will give you my soul in exchange for the completion of the story, but of course I understand if you lost interest/inspiration in writing it or you're too busy. Sorry if I seem rude, but it would be very much appreciated. Anyways, sorry for the rant and hope you have a great day~♡

First of all, thank you for your kind words!! I’m glad my weird headcanons aren’t something you visibly flinch at because sometimes when I write them I wonder if it’s alright to share 😭😭 So this is a terrific thing for me to hear!!!

Ahh, Creek. What a wonderful question! Creek is like a first love. It’s great but the chances of it lasting are very slim (but you always think it’s going to be forever), and when it doesn’t last you end up always thinking about it and comparing. I haven’t moved on from Creek, I don’t think I ever will. I still like it as much as when I first discovered it. I read most if not all of the Creek fics available the first time I came across them.

But you know how when you like an authors work you click on their profile to see if there’s more? Well that’s when I discovered Style and Bunny. I’ve always loved the main four (five), but when I watched South Park originally I never thought too deep into their relationship until I started reading the fics and it just…clicked. It was like going down the rabbit hole. Creek was already canon but style and bunny wasn’t. So I rewatched every episode for each of their interaction and pretty much got tased with ideas and revelations, and I felt like an idiot for not seeing it sooner. It then came to my attention that Style and Bunny didn’t have as much fics as Creek, so I thought it was my duty as a writer to dish some in. Creek was doing good in of itself, let me go ahead and support Bunny and Style. And now wallah, now we’re here.

In reality, I actually have 2 completed One shots for Creek. And then another 2 chapters of a multi-fic. I want to post them, I have toyed with the idea and told you guys as much. I believe I have their character and dynamic down due to all the fics I read and how many times I’ve watched the show. But I don’t post them for one reason only—and that is because of time. I cater to two parts of the South Park fandom, clear as day, Bunny and Style—and if I add Creek into the mix you guys would probably be waiting like 5 months for just a crumb of your ship. (I’m a VERY picky writer) For example, I just posted something about Bunny so my next posting would be about Style. I have a schedule for things in the effort to keep my two ships happy.

Not only does making you guys wait a while for a chapter not ideal, but I also lose a lot of readers during said waiting period. I’ve seen loyal readers who used to leave me comments on every chapter and fic leave and I know I mostly lost them because we, naturally as humans, change all the time. So our interests changes as well. They like new stuff, South Park is no longer as important, which usually leads to them not wanting to read South Park fics anymore. It makes me sad no longer seeing the names I look forward to in the comments because we aren’t who we were XYZ months ago. But I know that’s what I risk by writing the way I do. I completely understand it, and I accept it.

As for ‘The Days After I Wished for You,’ I haven’t lost interest at all. If I haven’t updated a fic in a while, it’s not that I lost interest—I’ve never once lost interest in any of the fics I started—it’s more of I don’t know how to write the story I want to write. ‘The Days After I Wished for You’ goes into certain deep themes like addiction and depression, and I just don’t want to be ignorant about the topics and portray them like shit. And I’ve heard some people say “it’s just a fanfic it’s not that deep just write a chapter’ but…real life people are going to read this. And I feel like I have certain responsibilities as a writer to at least try to tread certain topics right because there are real people in the world who are going through the same thing and some might even be reading what you write. That’s different if you’re writing crack fics of course, but I’m not so I can’t go about half assing stuff. It’s just not what I want to do. Like when I wrote the style m-preg fic?? It’s literally an omega verse fic but it was still in draft for so long because I wanted to research actual pregnancy and portray it and it’s issues to the best of my abilities. Did I actually do that?? I have no clue! But I tell myself everyday that I tried my best and so far haven’t receive messages from people saying it’s flat out wrong so I’m satisfied with it for the time being. I’m a very picky writer and my writing process usually requires me to rewrite a scene 2-3 times, that’s just the norm. But ‘The Days After I Wished for You,’ is so complicated I have actually re-written a scene 6 times. So that’s just how it is 😅

So yes, ahem, very sorry for the long rant—it was just a wonderful question and one I couldve yapped about for like hours, the finality of it is that I still love Creek, I’m working on ‘The Days After I Wished for You,’ as we speak!!
