Plot bunny since my brain keeps delivering them more efficiently than an irresponsible breeder during Easter;

After the mess of the Full Moon and the glaring miscommunication from our protagonists, Destiny(TM) decided that maybe the phrase 'walk a mile on their shoes' should be taken literally. Stolas and Blitz wake up in each other's bodies three months back just after Mamons pageant.

Could this help them truly understand each other or will they be forever broken up once they return to their original bodies?

Something I think is very much worth considering when analyzing the oppressive, classist societal system we’re seeing in Helluva Boss, most notably in the latest episode:

Satan is not really a ‘tyrant’ in the way I think a lot of people have started viewing him as. At least, he’s NOT some ‘usurper’ who has ‘seized power’ in Lucifer’s absence and now ‘rules with an iron fist’ with no one powerful enough to stand against him. For one, I think it’s pretty clear that this position as the ‘Lawman of Hell’ is a role that Satan has always held, even before Lucifer left.

Rather, let’s consider the fact that while Satan might be the one enforcing this oppressive system, he is FAR from the only one supporting or BENEFITING from it.

We have Mammon, possibly Leviathan, and basically the ENTIRE Goetia royalty who are clearly in FULL, enthusiastic support of this system.

Meanwhile Leviathan and Belphagor (assuming the former isn’t in full support of this system like Mammon) seem to be either too apathetic or too blissed out to really care, which likely also applies to pretty much any ‘not enthusiastically classist/racist’ Goetia as well.

Which just leaves Asmodeous and Beelezbub and MAYBE a handful of Goetia like Vassago who actually DO care and want to do something to help.

Really, I think the ‘vote’ we saw this episode is a clear demonstration of why there is only so much Ozzie and Bee can actually do. They are outnumbered, even among their fellow Sins.

I think it’s not so much that Satan ‘seized’ power in Lucifer’s absence. Rather, without Lucifer there is no one to truly CHECK the power that Satan already has. Sure, maybe a majority of the other Sins might be able to do that as well, but as we see, THAT isn’t happening either.

Satan is not some all-powerful tyrant running an oppressive system. While he may be considered the ‘face’ of that system, he is simply the enforcer of an oppressive system run by many powerful people who benefit from it. With any in power who might want to change things being too few to really do anything about it.

This is why I feel like what we are seeing here is not so much setup for conflict in Helluva Boss, but rather setup for a future plotline in Hazbin Hotel.

Because unlike Blitzo, Stolas or even Ozzie and Bee, CHARLIE is in fact someone who COULD do something about all this.

Even without Lucifer’s help (who I imagine will be indisposed due to other factors for the sake of not making all this TOO easy), Charlie DOES have the influence, charisma and if all else fails the raw strength to actually change things.

Whether by giving Asmodeus and Beelzebub the support they need, snapping/slapping Belphagor and Leviathan out of whatever detached apathy they’re in or maybe just giving Satan, Mammon and the entire Goetia court a brutal ass-kicking.

Probably all of the above.

All in all, I think Satan is a really great example of an antagonistic character who is very much A 'bad guy', but at the same time is not THE 'Bad Guy'. In the thematic sense that Satan is very much part of the oppressive system yet is very much NOT the root cause of it.

And in the narrative sense; both short-term in the fact that Andrealphus is very much the actual 'main bad guy' of this episode, and in the long-term of Satan likely being much more of an antagonist for Charlie in Hazbin Hotel, rather than anyone in Helluva Boss.

Dude, here I am wondering why Val has a miniature Fizzy-looking (and Fizzy-sounding) thing... ...Until I remembered that Mammon in Helluva Boss was/is selling sex toys using Fizzarolli's image a couple floors down - at least before the latter quit. That included sex dolls.

Also, being in the Pride Ring and all, I like to imagine that Val acquired the Fizzy-Doll mainly because he fancies himself as the "Asmodeous of the Pride Ring", given his occupation and all. He's just... an inferior version of the "sex-god" when you mix pride and greed into it. I really do think Asmodeus is okay with Ozzie in Helluva Boss. Doesn’t mind it.

The thing is, I’ve been looking for ways to communicate and meditate with Lord Asmodeus. The internet only tells me so much and there’s biased books out there about them.

But I haven’t found a book about how to properly communicate or offer to them.

I got into demonology and talking to demons because of Ghost, actually. Lucifer comes to me as a man with a cane and top hat, one of those big coats and tips his hat to me. He’s sweet and charming!

Asmodeus is like getting a hug from a big muscly dude, I always see his arms which are BIG and muscular and make me feel safe. His skin can be red and his nails can grow into black talons when he is furiously protective of me.

Any advice? Anywhere to start?

I say simply ask Asmodeous what he likes as offerings. I've found demons understand not all of us live in countries where different spices or beers or whatever demons normally want is available.

I mean, I personally just offer whatever is on my plate to the demons and my familiars. Then I keep my energy open to them like an invitation, afterwards they'll latch on and invite themselves to have a quick meal with me (they absorb the energy of what I have on my plate)

So in a way we have a meal together. That's how I make my offerings to demons. Just ask them what they like or if you can't get an answer or not have it right away, simply offer your meal. They'd be more than happy to eat with you ^_^

And as for communication I find that keep your mind open with imagination, as sometimes demons prefer to send cues to your mind to form messages people can understand.

Oh god this is Salt-bug, I deleted my account cause I didn’t want anything to do with Vivziepop at all cause it’s been keeping me down but man I can’t help it when there’s a new Helluva…from what I’m hearing about it, I can tell Viv was the writer. Doesn’t sound as awful as Adam’s episodes but still bland, with out of place moments and fanfic drama that probs won’t be addressed til another year or two…I just have a few things I wanna say.

1. Bet that Stolas is gonna be all better the next time we see him with no physical injuries, bringing the status quo back immediately. Or if anything, he’ll just have an arm sling and acting the same woe is me horny rich man.

2. I have a feeling the texts about Ozzie’s was a last minute add-in just so critics and fans will shut up about it not being addressed in Seeing Stars, but it just made it worse cause it was blink and you’ll miss it but what did we expect from writers that think addressing plot points and details through Twitter or Patreon only Q&As will solve all their writing problems…

3. Why is MOXXIE the one stabbing and actively fighting those guys, wasn’t the point of M&M’s dynamic that Moxxie was ranged combat while Millie’s close range? I even complimented the parallel of Moxxie’s lack of scars and clothing tears and Millie’s abundance of them in their designs cause of that, if they wanna give Millie moments outside of being a badass assassin then make it in character. I can’t imagine how their character notes or lack there of read…

4. I didn’t think I’d hate Andrealphus as much I did before but he sounds too…no when it comes to Stella. Judging by fanart Viv liked of Andrealphus insulting Stella, she’s most likely to become the fifth character in this show with familial abuse, will she be humanized thanks to it? Doubt it cause she hates Viv’s golden child Stolas.

Hey Salt-Bug! Glad to here from you. Yeah, you’re pretty much right about the episode, it’s nowhere near as bad as the previous two, it’s clear that both Viv and Adam can’t write for shit, but I honestly have to admit that Adam is worse than Viv if you compare them. Adam’s episodes are the ones that piss me off, where as Vivzie’s are so underwhelming, feel like no effort was put into them, and more importantly feel empty, cause whenever Viv is the lead on an episode, I always feel like I sat through nothing, because most of her writing isn’t satisfying or leads to something big for how much she hypes her stuff up. Like…when I first saw Ozzie’s, I felt the same way I felt when I saw Western Energy, because shit barely happens. Western Energy’s core focus was Stolas being tortured for a bit, and everything else around it was pointless fluff and filler, and Ozzie’s core focus was the House of Asmodeous song, everything else also being pointless filler or fluff. Like..it’s so obvious that Viv comes up with core episode ideas, but has to find a way to write AROUND it and that’s where she’s not good at it.

I agree with your thoughts here, my prediction is that as much as I hate to say it, the Barbie episode will probably be next, with the show taking a break from Stolas and the drama, to go to Blitz. While Stolas is in the hospital, judging by the trailer it seems it’ll be a Moxxie focused episode, until he comes across across Barbie, and it turns into a Blitz episode I guess. I have the heavy feeling it’ll be exactly like Spring Broken where Barbie and Blitz just throw insults at each other until we realize that she was genuinely hurt by him and then tease her for a future episode, especially if you’ve seen the episode leak where that ghost dude is taunting Blitz for how he treated her. No doubt the show will go back to the status quo, wether Stolas is in the hospital or not.

As for Stella? I don’t think we need to be worried about her and Andre, for now at least. If you’ve seen the finale leak, they seemed to be just fine, laughing together on the couch. I guess their goal is just to make Stolas poor? Like..strip his power away I guess. I have no idea. I also have no idea wether they want to make Stella sympathetic or not, but again, judging by the leak, I don’t think they’re going to do much with her this season, which is a bummer. Other than that, hope you’re doing well Salt-Bug!

any headcanons on your favorite helluva character?

Okay so I’ve got two fave Helluva characters. Verosika and Fizzarolli.

While I draw Verosika a ton and absolutely love her design, I don’t really think about her a lot? So I end up not having very many headcanons for her. I do imagine that she’s a hopeless romantic though and that she truly thought she was going to spend the rest of her life with Blitz. Also, I like to imagine while dating Blitz, she and Fizz had a classic ex vs current partner rivalry, but once she and Blitz broke up, she bonded with Fizz and became fast friends :3c

Now Fizz is another story

He’s the opposite. I barely draw him, ‘cause his design scares me, but BOY do I think about him. And admittedly, I probably project myself onto him a lot. But ya know, it’s my headcanon, so I don’t care 😌

First of all, this boy has ADHD. Growing up, he had a hard time keeping still and had so many interesting ideas that he absolutely HAD to execute. He got into a lot of trouble for it, and rarely didn’t have detention.

He’s also actually really smart and was the top of his class. Everyone wonders how because he never seems to be paying attention or studying (he is, but not the conventional way). Barbie Wire theorizes that he’s actually SO smart, he sees things no one else sees and it drove him insane.

Speaking of Barbie, she 100% bullies him, and even considers herself a professional Fizzarolli bully. But it’s that fun, sisterly type of bullying. Fizz was a crybaby growing up and she loved making fun of that, but if you even THINK about calling Fizz a crybaby yourself, she’s ready to fight. Only SHE can bully him!

He was close to Tilla too! His parents neglected him and couldn’t handle his zaniness, so Tilla was really more of a parent to him than they were.

Also, because of the theories I see, I like to imagine Fizz as homoromantic demisexual? I’m hanging onto thjs very loosely, ‘cause I do have some doubts it would be true, but I dunno. The seeds for it are there.

And, of course, he and Blitz dated. Like, that’s not even a headcanon, that’s a legit theory I have. Those two were best friends, started crushing on each other, had that awkward first make out, started dating seriously, almost to the point of marriage, then Mammon came in and fucked everything up :)

Fizz decided to swear off relationships and focus on work, ‘cause fuck, they just break your heart. He decides to live as the Fizzarolli character instead of himself as a person. And that went well for like, I dunno, 15 years!

Then Asmodeous came in and fucked that up.

Fizz found himself being more his ACTUAL self around Oz, which is dangerous, ‘cause that’s how you get your heart broken! It doesn’t help that Oz seems actively interested in Fizz himself, even if he sees Fizz as more of a toy or a pet (he doesn’t, but Fizz doesn’t know that). So you know what? Fuck it. Fizz decides he WILL live as Ozzie’s pet, ‘cause he’s happier that way, and as long as it doesn’t go further than that, it should be fine, right?

(needless to say, things are not fine)

I dunno WHY I latch on the Fizz so hard; he’s officially only been in ONE episode. And I’m not even one who usually thinks of headcanons much, I’m happy enough with actual canon! But I just…I really love him and I need more of him god

What's your thoughts on the newest Helluva Boss episode and new characters?

Episode 7 in my opinion is by FAR the greatest episode of Helluva Boss so far. Asmodeous and Fizz stole the show! Like yeah Blitzo is having a one man pity party and Stolas is prolly debating his life choices so far but - MOVE OVER ASMODEOUS AND FIZZ ARE THE REAL STARS HERE

Also this ep actually got me to care about Stolitz. At first I liked the ship cuz I thought it was kinda funny, then I realised that the ship didn't have any ground work and, if it where to become cannon, it'd be kind of out of nowhere since Blitzo from episode 1-5 had shown zero interest in Stolas (up until the ending of ep 5 where Blitzo prevents Stricker from shooting Stolas)

Then we had episode 6 which, even though it didn't convince me on the ship, I'll hold my hands up and say the team did a good job with this one. Having Stolas come up and save Blitzo and shown up Blitzo's reaction, that was good!

Then episode 7, to quote a cinemasins video I had as background noise while writting, the only thing that could have made the episode better was if we had known Stolas and Stellar weren't living together/divorced. Imagine how much more impactful the first and last scene with Stolas would have been if we'd known he was all alone. Then we have Stolas trying to get up to help Blitzo after Verosika's part of the song, the way he tries to reach for Blitzo's hand, Stolas thanking him for inviting him out, Stolas BOWING to Blitzo before he leaves and even referring to him by Blitz instead of Blitzy - This episode was amazing!

I'm still on the fence about this ship, it's still good and the recent development we got for it was very well done, but I'm not mad about it like many others are in the fandom. If anything the thing I love most about the ship is the angst potential with Stolas and Octavia - Octavia having to overcome the fear of loosing her dad knowing he's in love with an imp, that sorta thing

We'll just have to see what HB holds in store for us

Valentino is trying so hard to be asmodeous oh my god wait I’m going somewhere with this

With ozzies reveal plenty of people noticed that a shot of him in the background looks like it might as well be Val and like I know most of us collectively decided that Val did this on purpose. And it also seems to suggest that Val has only seen Ozzie from the shadows because he looks much different close up.

But okay no it’s worse. Val so DESPERATELY wants to be Ozzie. And he uses drugs/alcohol/whatever to keep you attracted to him. And when/if you say no to his advances it’s a clear reminder that he is not and never will be the lord of lust. And he gets mad. And takes you anyways. But the kicker is he clearly doesn’t know Ozzie at all because in the part 1 season finale in helluva we CLEARLY see he actually gives a shit about fizzarolli. Val clearly just wants the power and status that comes with being “lustful”.

Hazbin takes place in the greed ring and you can’t change my mind now (until we get official word of course). And Val is *pissed* he’s not the stud he thought he was. Imagine thinking you ended up in hell for being the epitome of a good fuck to find out you’re just a selfish prick. No wonder he desperately tries to copy asmodeous

I could definitely support my theory by the actions of literally every other character in hazbin thus far
