ONE week to go until @helsinkicityrunningday!!! 😬🙌🏻🫶🏻 My expectations on my personal performance at #helsinkicity5 are not really high thanks to many illnesses and lack of training in the first months of the year. 😬🤒😷 However, 💡today I did a really nice training where the main workout was 15 x 400 m 🏃🏻‍♀️and it went pretty well. That raised my spirits bit higher. I am hoping to beat my time from last year (21:38). Week from now we’ll see how it goes! *I am one of the #hcrdambassadors and get to participate the event for free. I am wearing clothes by @craftsportswearfin (free) and trusted Fenix 7S by @garmin_finland to measure the data (bought with discount). Finally starting to feel pretty normal after the Covid. Today I did a 12,5 km Nordic walk / run 🏃🏻‍♀️ on roads and trails, partly by myself and partly with my boy on bike 🚴 (run included some pushing, too). After a really tough beginning of the year with many flus and other obstacles I am finally getting back to running. Heart rate is really high but I am walking in between to keep it down. The fun part is that since this is not that serious I can do errands or have kids with me. Yesterday S came along and we ran to pick up a package from a post box and bought spring daffodils from the gardening store along the way. We also read the Paw Patrol book twice while moving. 😀🐾 The roads are partly icy, slushy or already melted on gravel but my old @babyjogger does the trick. It is only 9 weeks until Helsinki City Running Day* and The #salveqvick Helsinki City 5 so I should start thinking faster running soon. Helsinki City Running Day is in 2 days and I will be running Helsinki City 5 there as one of the #hcrdambassadors. It is still unclear whether my run 🏃🏻‍♀️ will be done A) as a fun run with easy pace, B) in 3 minute intervals C) as a 5 K race in full speed I am at hands of Olli-Pekka and his research 🧐 that I am participating. The decision is based on my recovery from today’s workout. Tonight I ran again the 6 x 3 min interval training - first time in darkness this year. Luckily there are still the autumn 🍂 leaves 🍁 reflecting light from the ground. I also tested a lamp of my own. It is actually a head lamp but I kept it on my waste. My medal from #virtualhcrd ! I love this and receive the virtual medal with great joy! I do not want the physical medal from events because I feel that it is an unnecessary waste of money, resources and burdens the nature. I do not know what to do with them and they are basically going to waste. The same applies to t-shirt in events and I am so happy that running events in Finland are starting to consider the necessity of them in the participation package. Repost @helsinkicityrunningday ⭐Luukku 6⭐Hyvää itsenäisyyspäivää!🇫🇮💙Tänään HCRD-joulukalenterin ottaa haltuun HCRD Ambassadors -tiimiin kuuluva Lotta!🏃‍♀️ Lotta on vuosien varrella työskennellyt Suomen Urheiluliitossa eri tehtävissä, mutta vaikuttaa tällä hetkellä työtehtävien puolesta muualla, kansainvälisen markkinoinnin parissa. SUL:lla Lotta on edelleen mukana vetämässä HCRD-yhteislenkkejä ja kouluttautui juuri myös yleisurheiluohjaajaksi. Lisäksi Lotta on aina jollain tapaa apuna myös HCRD-tapahtumassa. Lokakuussa uusin aluevaltaus oli liikenteenohjaus, jossa Lotta osoittautui luonnonlahjakkuudeksi ja sai arvosanan 10/10!😉💪 Työt ja lapsiperhearki pitävät Lotan kiireisenä, joten rakkaalle harrastukselle juoksulle on löytynyt viime vuosina vaihtelevasti aikaa. Viime aikoina Lotta on kuntouttanut lihasepätasapainoisuuksista johtuvaa vammaa. Ensisijaisena tavoitteena onkin nyt saada kroppa kuntoutettua, jotta se kestää juoksua ja muita suosikkilajeja kuten futista. Pikkuhiljaa Lotta haluaisi myös nostaa harjoittelumääriä sellaiselle tasolle, jotta voisi kisata veteraanikisoissa ja aikanaan parannella myös omia aikuisiän ennätyksiä niin radalla kuin maantielläkin. Lotalla on taskussa nuoruusvuosilta muutama SM-mitali, joten kilpailuintoa löytyy edelleen, mutta lapsiperhearki hieman asettaa rajoja treenaamiselle.✨ Ensi keväänä Lotta on mukana HCRD:ssa, mutta matka on vielä mietinnässä. Varmaa on kuitenkin se, että koko perhe asettuu Helsinki Minimarathonin lähtöviivalle heti lauantaiaamusta 15.5.2021! 😍 Lotan Instagram-päivässä on tänään luvassa mm. lenkkiä sekä vinkkejä siihen, millä tavalla Lotta kuntouttaa lantion/pakaran alueella sijaitsevia lihasepätasapainoisuuksia. Really fun #helsinkicity5 today! I finished with the time 23:02 after a nice, comfy and relaxed run. Enjoyed every meter of it! The event doubled the amount of runners and it started to feel like a big one already. It was lovely to see that there were people from top-level runners to first timers -and even clowns! I took 20 minutes out of last year’s time.
