at first I thought that the game had sold my house to some random woman (thank u Clavia for sweeping but you scared the shit outta me) and then I was relieved to know that it was still link's, but then you get inside and all the stuff has been replaced w Zelda's stuff and her journal is in the bedroom and her secret well is down below. I know a bunch of people have said like oh they were living together and I thought that too at first (despite the one bed), but the more I hang around the village the more I'm convinced that Link just gave Zelda his house and kinda fucked off a little. it would go a long way towards explaining how everyone knows zelda but no one knows Link (though that seems to be a common theme), but the greatest evidence imo is when you talk to one of the kids from the school who's waiting for Zelda to return near the house. she asks link if he's going to "zelda's house" and says that zelda often leaves the village but always quickly returns. it seems based on this and the interior décor that the house now firmly belongs to zelda, and link was maybe a non presence in the village after the events of the first game. I wonder if he gave her the house as something of a retreat, a place where she could be alone and recover while also being close to Purah - one of the few other people she knows from Before - and the lab. meanwhile it doesn't seem like there's any space made for link in the house or the village. idk what it all means but I do have enormous feelings about Link giving up the one space that was really his so that zelda could have a home again after hers was destroyed

Babe I know you’re probably busy but you’re the only one I trust to do this idea justice what about Travis and readers son sneaking out not to do anything bad but to see a girl and Travis and reader bothe argue over a punishment cause Travis seems more laid back
Thanks for your request! This is funny because I imagine that Alex is like a young Travis, such a troublemaker lol. Alex is around 16 here, and the girls are 14 and 12.
Tumblr media
"Pick up, pick up. Please!" Alex cursed under his breath when Savannah didn't pick up his third call, shoving his phone in the back pocket of his jeans before he sized up the ornamental metal gate in front of him, at least 10 feet tall. Tonight, as he was trying to sneak back into the house without his parents noticing, he really wished he didn't live in a gated community.
He stuck his foot between one of the rungs of the gate, and tried to hoist himself up, his shoe slipping and barely getting him more than a couple feet off the ground. "Shit", he cursed under his breath as he realized he was going to have to find another way over.
There were a couple of tall hedges to the left of him, but there was no way they were going to support his weight, so that was a no go. The fencing to the right of him was even taller, with spikes at the top, and he preferred to avoid a trip to the hospital for impaling himself, if at all possible.
With a swift confidence, he took a running start at the gate, hoping momentum would help him over, but it only forced him to run into it even harder, his body bouncing off and landing on the ground a couple feet away. He laid on the ground for a minute with his eyes closed, completely defeated, and wondering how long he'd be grounded for once you and Travis found out he sneaked out to meet up with his friends.
He was about to give up and call Travis when his phone began to vibrate in his back pocket. "Dude you are in so much trouble." Savannah chuckled on the other end of the line.
"Yeah, yeah, I know. Can you let me in the front gate, I forgot my key card in my room."
"What's in it for me?"
"I-I'll drive you wherever you want to go for the next month." He winced at the thought of taking his sister back and forth to gymnastics practice for the next month, but he was desperate.
"Dad already does that. What else can you offer?"
"My allowance, for the next three weeks."
"Please. Don't insult my intelligence. You know what I want."
"No!", Alex growled, "I'm the oldest, I get that room. I earned it." Savannah begged her brother for the past few months to switch rooms with him because he had more closet space, that according to her was very underutilized. "Okay. I think I heard dad downstairs, I'll go get h-".
"Fine! Fine!", Alex let out a sigh, rolling his eyes. "Fine, you can have the room. I don't care. Can you let me in now?"
"Yes! I'll open the gate, just text me when you get to the front door, and I'll let you in." Alex hung up, stuffing his phone into his pocket and throwing his hoodie over his head just as the gate began to open, a mechanical whirring audible as the gears moved. He ran down the dog walk pathway that would take him to his house, avoiding the main street so he wouldn't be spotted by any neighbors.
He let out a huff as he reached the front door, trying to catch his breath, and shot off a text to Sav to let him know he was there. He immediately began to worry when she didn't respond, but let out a sigh of relief when he heard the front door lock turn.
"Can you please hurry u-?". He stopped in his tracks, his mouth dropping open in surprise, when he saw that it wasn't his annoying little sister standing on the other side of the door, but an angry retired, 6'5" tight end that greeted him. Savannah cowered behind her dad, phone in her hand. "Sorry, he caught me opening the gate."
Alex's shoulders slumped over as he followed Travis into the kitchen, where you were waiting for him in your pajamas, arms crossed over your chest, anger radiating off of your body.
"Alex, where have you been?"
"A few friends and I went to a movie, its no big deal." He shrugged, afraid to make eye contact with you.
You were incredulous. "No big deal? Did you hear that Travis? Its not a big deal that our son snuck out in the middle of the night to go to the movies. Well, Alex, if its no big deal, I guess we have nothing to talk about." Bubba began to back away, thinking he was in the clear, but only got a step away before Travis stopped him with a strong hand on his shoulder.
"I wouldn't if I were you." Travis spoke from experience; he'd been in many an argument with you during your relationship and marriage, and he knew that sometimes you said one thing, but meant the very opposite, especially when upset.
"Who were you with?" You felt a headache building at the base of your neck as you pinched the bridge of your nose. "It doesn't matter, just some friends."
"It does matter. Were you drinking, smoking, anything like that?" You couldn't smell cigarette smoke or liquor on his breath. "No! I've never done any of that stuff, we just went to the movie. Me, Dylan, Lane and Nina." He said the last name at a whisper, knowing it would rile you up.
"Nina." You shot Travis a look, and he tried to get you to calm down with a raise of his brow. "Yeah, I never get to see her with baseball and school. We just wanted to hang out together before Soccer starts again for her." You both knew Alex had a girlfriend, and she was a lovely girl, but you hated to think that she was part of a crowd that would get Alex in trouble like this.
"I don't know what I'm more upset about, the sneaking out, the lying, or getting your little sister involved?" You pinched the bridge of your nose, trying to steady your breathing. "Alex, you know better. I know we taught you better than this. No baseball for a month."
"What?! No baseball?". Alex was on the brink of tears immediately. "Mom, no you can't do that. Coach finally said I'm gonna be pitching. If I miss a month of practice there's no way I'll start! That's so unfair!"
"Unfair? You know what's unfair, Alex? Being worried sick about where you've been. You couldn't have gotten hurt, or in trouble. I have no idea where you went, and I don't know if I can trust you again." Your anger was a manifestation of your worry, and in the moment you were worried sick.
Alex clasped his hands together, shamelessly begging. "Mom, I promise, I'm fine, and I'll never do it again, but please don't do this." His pleading only made you madder, the heat creeping up your neck.
Travis was quick to intervene, realizing that you were about to boil over. "Its late. Alex, go to bed, we'll talk in the morning."
"But, dad, please."
"Alex, go." Travis warned Alex not to push the issue with a flex of his jaw and a look. He reluctantly went upstairs, even though he was prepared to apologize for the next few hours, anything to get back in your good graces.
"Can you believe him? "not a big deal". Incredible", you scoffed, gripping the counter behind you to steady yourself. "Babe, I know this is not good, but don't you think taking away baseball is a little much?" Travis asked, knowing he needed to tread carefully.
"No! If anything, its not enough. He's lucky I didn't take away anything else." You ground your teeth as you thought about it, a quick guilt settling in your stomach. "I didn't think we were raising someone who would lie to us, sneak out. I mean, I know you were kind of trouble-"
"What's that supposed to mean?" Travis' brow knitted as he looked at you. "I just mean, you weren't exactly an honor student growing up, come on."
"No, you come on. I was trouble sometimes, but I wasn't that bad." Travis was growing annoyed with your accusations, not expecting the night to become a criticism of his character. "Travis, I've heard the stories from your parents and Jason."
"So its my fault that Alex snuck out tonight. He doesn't have a good role model, right?" Travis raked his fingers through his beard, giving you a sarcastic nod. "Well alright then. You punish him how you see fit. I'm going to bed."
You grabbed at his hand as he walked away. "Travis, stop. That's not what I meant at all. I'm sorry." You tangled your fingers with his, closing the distance between the two of you. "I lost my head for a second, I didn't mean what I said."
"You did." He held up a hand as soon as you opened your mouth to object. "But I get it, and you're right. I wasn't the best kid growing up. I gave my parents a lot of trouble that they didn't deserve, but I turned it around. Alex, he's not a bad kid. He's a good kid, who made a bad decision. So yeah, he needs to be punished, but not with the one thing he's worked so hard for."
"I know, I know." You place a hand on his chest. "You're right, and he has you to thank for that, you're an amazing role model. I never should have questioned the kind of man you are."
"How about, no car for a month, and he picks up some chores around the house?" You contemplated the punishment for a moment before agreeing. "Is it going to be this hard with the girls? I don't think my heart can handle it", you said, only half joking.
"I wouldn't worry too much", Travis chuckled, "I only had to look at Savannah and she cracked under the pressure." Travis placed a gentle kiss to your forehead, his hands wrapping around your back to pull you into a tight hug.

Tumblr media
Yunho parks his car in the driveway, clicking the key fob to make sure his doors are locked after he grabs his things from the trunk. Entering the house, it's a lot quieter than expected— typically, he has family members or close neighbors over even if they're just there to sit in the kitchen and gossip with his aunt and mom.
When he sets his things down and walks further into the house, he realizes why it's so quiet in the house.
"Yunho! Our handsome boy!" His aunt yells from the backyard where she sits with his mom, two neighbors and their two friends. Yunho feels the heat rise to his cheeks because even though this is happens constantly— he's still not used to the praising and babying from his own family members.
"Hi." He gives them a toothless smile and waves, helping himself to a seat right next to his mom. "Miss Universe herself, how are you feeling?" His mom chuckles before playfully hitting his arm.
"I'm doing okay, my love. I missed you."
"I'm here now, right? Did your appointment go okay?" He swings his arm around her chair and focuses all of his attention on her.
"Yeah, it went perfectly fine. I felt a bit tired and weak afterwards, but nothing some good rest and food couldn't fix." Yunho nods.
"Okay, that's good."
"How about you, tell me all about school? I think your mom is missing some details." She says with a small smirk and Yunho can't help but playfully roll his eyes.
"Didn't you wanna go to the grocery store?" He changes the subject, his aunt immediately catching on to the shift in his body language.
"Yunho has a girlfriend, I think." She says to her neighbors while smirking at him. Yunho's mom laughs it off, standing to save her son from the oncoming comments, teasing, etc etc.
"Suho." His mom says in a scolding manner, slight drip of playfulness to it. "Don't you have a list of things we need to get at the grocery store?"
"Oh shit, you're right." She says, hurrying into the kitchen for her list. Yunho laughs and bids farewell to their friends, following his mom and aunt into the kitchen. His mom grabs the list from her sister, asking if she needs anything else or if she wants food from anywhere before they return. She simply says no and says she'll be heading out with her friends soon— that the both of them should just enjoy shopping and eating wherever they'd like.
And so with that, Yunho carefully helps his mom get settled before hopping into the driver's seat. His music is softly playing in the background, while his mom continues to tell him about how her appointments have been and the people she's encountered. He starts to laugh when she mentions one of the technicians at the dialysis center, and how she's bragged about him to her countless times.
"Okay mom, I appreciate it but you don't have to play cupid." He smiles at her before shifting his attention back to the road.
"I know, but sometimes I worry about you." She gently squeezes his bicep. "I can't help it because I'm your mom. You do a great job taking care of everyone else, sometimes I just want someone to help take care of you."
"I'll be okay."
"I know, I know." She lets out a breath before toothlessly smiling at him. "But, you get where I'm coming from."
"I think so."
"What about your friend?"
"What friend?"
"From school? The one you talked about, you know? Helping with her assignments."
"Oh, right." Yunho chuckles. "What about her?"
"Well, what's her name?"
"You're gonna look for her on Facebook."
"I am not." She playfully hits him, making him laugh.
"Her name is Y/N."
"Beautiful name. I'm sure she's very pretty." Yunho shrugs.
"Y-yeah she is. But, we're really just friends. We click pretty easily. Surprisingly."
"What do you mean surprisingly? You're the sweetest and the friendliest boy I know. And I'm not saying that because I'm your mother."
"You're definitely saying that because you're my mother." He laughs.
"Why don't you see where it goes?"
"I never said I wouldn't." He laughs a bit. "I'm also not going to force anything."
"That's fair. She seems to be a good friend, though."
"She is. She's sweet."
♣︎ FLASHBACK
"Yunho!" You happily head down the steps when you see him standing there, patiently waiting for you. He has his hands dug deep into his pockets, hood on his head. A small, tiny smile tugs at the corner of his lips when you finally come face to face and stand in front of his towering figure. "Hey you." You gently poke at his arm.
"What's up?" He starts to lead the way with slow, steady steps— walking down his usual path around the complex.
"Kinda just wanted to take a quick walk."
"Feeling okay?"
"Yeah. Just tired."
"You're telling me. How's practice been?"
"Practice is practice. It's fun to be doing it with friends though." He nods, silently walking alongside of you. "How's Yeosang?" He chuckles.
"Yeosang is Yeosang. Currently still yelling at his screen."
"You guys should game together."
"We do when he decides to play Valorant, but he's more into League." He scratches at his temple. "I must sound very attractive right now." You laugh a bit.
"That sounds very fun. You'll have to teach me one day."
"You sure about that?"
"Yeah, why not. I'd probably have to play on a dummy account or something so I don't ruin your level." You tilt your head in confusion. "Ranks? Whatever they're called." He smiles.
"Fair." You laugh.
"Wow, so you don't believe in my abilities, huh?"
"You said it first."
"Yunho." You whine, making him laugh a little loudly this time.
"I'm kidding. I believe in you. It's really not that bad." You smile, but it quickly fades when you almost bump into Yunho just as he suddenly stops in his tracks. "Look." He looks down at you, then points upwards. "The moon." You stand beside him and look up at the moon.
"It's beautiful."
"Hm, yeah." He snaps a photo. "Sorry, I didn't mean to stop."
"No, please. I like seeing these parts of you." He smiles.
"Yeah?" You nod. "You don't think it's odd?"
"I could never think that way about you, Yunho." You playfully tap his arm. "Seriously. It's nice to see someone appreciate the moon."
"Someone has to." You giggle as you both continue to slowly walk alongside each other, arm brushing against one another.
♣︎ END
"Please don't forget to bring her by one day. I'd still like to meet her."
"Meet her?"
"You've been happier lately, and that's all I could ask for. She sounds lovely."
"Okay." Yunho nods and smiles at her just as he pulls into the lot of the market.
Yunho patiently goes around with his mom, placing every item she needs into the cart while she points out what's needed. They spend a good 45 minutes, close to an hour, just taking their time buying what's needed and other necessities. Afterwards, Yunho takes his mom to her favorite Chinese restaurant. They spend time talking about all things school-related and what his plans might be for the near future.
And Yunho loves being home, don't get him wrong. He'd always spend time with his family over anything. But, he couldn't help but think of you— especially after his mom brought you up.
He hopes you're okay. Maybe he'll check on you tonight.
Tumblr media
Tonight, you wrap up your homework and waddle over to the couch— joining Seungmin and Chaery in the living room while they watch their show. Soobin is cooking himself some dinner since he just got back not too long ago from the library.
"Any of you guys want some ramen before I shut this off?"
"Nope!" Seungmin yells loudly even though he's just in the living room.
"Same. Thanks Soobinnie." Chaery says in a sing-song tone. You simply look at Soobin with a small smile, shaking your head before returning your attention to your phone. A text comes in and you're [slightly] surprised at who it is— but, you definitely can't say that it doesn't put a smile on your face.
yunho: take a look at the moon if you haven't yet.
But, your smile instantly fades when you can't respond right away. A call cuts through on your screen, and it's probably the last person you want to speak to right now— even though you know you need to.
"Hello?" You answer nonchalantly, not in the mood to speak to Seonghwa.
"Hey. Are you free right now?" You sigh and look at the clock. 10pm.
"Yeah, I am."
"Can you come down? I'm here in my car."
"For what, Seonghwa?" You hear him sigh heavily on the other line before speaking up again.
"I just want to talk. We haven't talked in days and I'm trying to figure out what's going on between us."
"Seonghwa—"
"Y/N, please. That's all I'm asking for." He says in a serious tone. You roll your eyes and purse your lips together, pausing for a moment before responding.
"Fine. I'll be down in a few."
"Alright." And with that, you end the call— sliding your phone into the pocket of your sweats before forcing yourself off of the couch to grab the nearest jacket.
"My jacket?" Soobin watches as you snatch his jacket off of the dining table chair.
"I just need it for a second. Please?" You pout and he nods.
"Where are you going?" Chaery asks while her and Seungmin continue to watch their show, her eyes fixed on the TV.
"Seonghwa wants to talk."
"Oh, jeez." She says. "Goodluck with that, hun. Call if you need anything."
"Yup!" You slip into your crocs, dragging your feet down the steps and to Seonghwa's car. He's parked by the curb, windows slightly rolled down so you're able to catch a peek of him. He's staring down at the phone near his lap, the light illuminating his face. He texts away even as you approach the door, but chucks it into his middle console after he's sent whatever he needed to send. You plop onto the passenger's seat and avoid eye contact, crossing your arms as you look straight ahead at the car in front of his.
"Hi to you, too." He furrows his brows a bit.
"So, what is it Seonghwa?" You finally turn to him and let out a barely audible sigh.
"Baby, come on." Seonghwa clicks his teeth and pouts a bit. He slips his hand on your thigh and lets it rest there. "I said I was sorry. I know I fucked up majorly, but something just came up and—"
"Something came up? Something always comes up for you. You couldn't even take one second to text me or let me know? It doesn't take much."
"I know, I thought I was going to be able to make it in time."
"Right. I've heard that before."
"I'm sorry." He repeats.
"Heard that before too." You shake your head. "Seonghwa, I think we should just stop doing this, okay? Clearly, you have better things to worry about and I'm just tired."
"W-what?" He looks at you, really looks at you. Almost in disbelief. Probably disbelief. "Baby, I don't wanna do that. I don't wanna lose you."
"It doesn't matter if you do, you always have someone to fall back onto." You shoot back, and he's silent. Of course he is. "I thought so."
"No, you're not giving me time to get my thoughts together." He panics. "Y/N, baby. Please. Hear me out. I don't wanna lose you. I really don't. I know I fucked up time and time again, but I'll do better. It's always been you and—"
"You're only worried about losing the idea of me, someone who will be there as your safety blanket when other shit doesn't pull through for you. You aren't actually worried about me, and you know I'm right." He scoffs and shakes his head, but he doesn't say anything, no. He can't say anything because he knows it's true. He quickly deflects and brings up the one thing that has been running his last nerve lately:
"Why don't you just say that it's Yunho?"
"This has nothing to do with Yunho, Seonghwa! I'm so tired. It's been months of this back and forth bullshit, don't you get it? It's so clear what this means to you, and I don't wanna stick around, waiting for somebody that doesn't even care about me."
"Don't say that I don't care—"
"You don't!" Your tone raises a bit, and this is when it settles that Seonghwa isn't good for you. He will never be good for you, good to you. He will never change, and you will never find an ounce of pure, genuine happiness being stuck here. "You really don't. You can't claim that when I've caught you multiple times doing shit behind my back, let alone left my ass in the cold like I was easily disposable. Multiple times." Tears are pricking your bottom lids and you're not sure if it's because of everything you've been through or if it's because you feel bad for yourself— for settling, for letting him walk over you. You are aware that, however this ends, you'll need to take a moment and say your peace to it. "I'm so done with it, Hwa. I don't need this."
"Wait, Y/N. Please." He says, hand giving your thigh a gentle squeeze so you don't up and leave right away.
"No. We're just going to go in circles and repeat the cycle. This is done—"
"How can I fix this?" You furrow your brows and shake your head, letting out a scoff.
"You really have to ask? If you really wanted to know, you would've asked that question a long time ago." You remove his hand from your thigh.
"So, that's it?" He asks because he doesn't know how else to respond without sounding even more pathetic. "Y/N." Hwa panics again when he sees you swing the door open, stepping out without saying another word to him. Though, he couldn't really tell you why he panicked— perhaps, yeah, it's the thought of losing you, but mainly his image. How he'd look if people ever found out that you left him first.
And you know this already.
In plain words, he's just worried about losing another girl on his list. Especially the one that was always there for him, the one that rarely gave him issues. Didn't get strung up too quickly, didn't really press him for shit over the months.
Damn.
Even though you said it had nothing to do with him, Seonghwa still thinks Yunho played a part in it. And that's fucking annoying.
"Y/N!" You hear him call for you again, even after you've slammed his door and stormed off to your apartment. You feel the tears pricking your lids again, and you're doing your best to hold it in. But eventually, the tears stream down your cheeks; one by one.
This is you saying your peace.
Then, you'll move on. As you should.
"Baby is back!" Chaery cheers but her smile instantly fades when she sees you wiping away at your face. "Aw no, baby. What happened?" You shrug as she comes to you and pulls you into her arms.
"I just ended it with Seonghwa."
"Oh shit, good for you! Finally!" Seungmin is still sitting on the floor, so he flicks her on the leg. "Ow! The heck?"
"What she means to say is that everything's gonna be okay, and that it's okay to cry if you need to." He looks at her and she follows with a slow nod.
"Yes, absolutely." You wipe the remaining stragglers and shake it off, returning Soobin's jacket to the dining chair.
"It's fine, I'll be okay. I needed to do that." You look at them with a reassuring expression. "It's just time to move past this." Chaery rubs your back.
"Do you need anything?" You shake your head.
"No, but I'm going to head into the room and just chill for the night."
"Okay." Chaery gives you a small smile.
"Get some rest." Soobin adds.
"I will." You head off to the bathroom to wash up and get ready for bed. It's still early but you don't think you'll be sleeping anytime soon with the thoughts that are currently bombarding your head. It does suck to finally part from something that no longer serves you, but you know it's for the best.
You were done.
Suddenly, you remember Seonghwa bringing up Yunho and it begins to irritate you. How dare he? He knows nothing about Yunho, and you hate how he's the first one he tries to blame. Shame that he's grown but can't take full responsibility for his actions. Until this day, Seonghwa has yet to fully acknowledge everything he's done.
He still finds a way to beat around the bush, implying that he did no wrong.
You shut off the lights and lay in bed with the mood lamp on, picking up your phone to finally respond to people. You sent your mom and sister a quick text before switching to Yunho's thread— realizing you still haven't responded to his last text.
you: ugh, that picture is perfect. the moon is sooo pretty tonight. 🥺
you: sorry for the late response, kinda got wrapped up with something super last min. how's your weekend going?
yunho: why the sad face? 😣
you: it'd be nice if we could go on a walk and look at the moon together.
yunho: aw yeah, that does sound nice. but, i hope the picture at least put a smile on your face.
yunho: & you don't have to apologize. but, it's been nice being at home and catching up with my family. what about you? everything okay?
you: i don't know? it's okay, i guess. just kinda tired.
yunho: you sure that's it?
you: no. 😕 but, it's nothing really.
yunho: calling you in a few, is that okay?
you: more than okay!
You continue to scroll through your phone for a couple of more minutes before Yunho's name lights up on the screen. A small smile pulls at your lips just as you pick up the call, Yunho rustling around in the background.
"Hi." You hear a bit more rustling before Yunho is letting out a [content] sigh.
"Hey, sorry. Just got in bed."
"That's okay." You chuckle. "I'm also lying down and just being lazy."
"Good, you should just rest." Yunho clears his throat. "You okay?"
"Mm, I don't know. I guess."
"What's going on?"
"I ended things with Seonghwa tonight." He remains silent for a bit before he responds with a—
"I'm sorry."
"Don't be. Again, just moving on." You chuckle a bit. "I did cry a teensy weensy bit, but I needed to let it out in order to let it go."
"Yeah, totally understandable. You sure you're okay? It's okay if you aren't."
"I am okay. It does suck though, we argued and then I just—" You pause. "I don't know. I guess I realized how this wasn't good for me. Everything came crashing down and I was so over it."
"Mhm." He softly answers, letting you continue on.
"I don't wanna keep being like that, you know? I don't say much, but I always feel anxious and stressed. I always end up thinking about what Seonghwa will do to hurt me next. That sounds so bad, but it's the best way to put it." You sigh. "It's just not good."
"I'm sorry, Y/N. It's not. But, it's okay if you aren't okay right now. Take your time."
"Thanks Yunho. Seriously. I'll be good." You let out a small, breathy laugh. "Just a moment of weakness."
"Not weakness." There's a small pause as you let Yunho's response sink.
"Hey, by the way. We're doing a scary movie night thing at our apartment soon. Do you wanna come over and join us?"
"Hm." He hums, thinking about whether or not he should just do it.
"Come on, it'll be fun."
"Fun for you because I'm sure I'll end up as your punching bag when things get too scary." You chuckle.
"No, not even! Seriously. We'll have lots of food."
"What movie are you planning to put on?"
"Would that be a dealbreaker?" You tease.
"Maybe." He plays along.
"I truly have no idea yet."
"Alright then." He laughs. "Yeah, I'll join." You gasp.
"Really?"
"Yeah." He reiterates.
"Aw, yay! I hope you didn't feel pressured or obligated." Yunho sits on his response for a bit; no, he doesn't feel that way. It might be new hanging out with you and your friends, but he was looking forward to just being in your company.
"Never that."
"I'll text you all the details later." You yawn.
"Sleepy?"
"Kinda. Just exhausted."
"I can go if you—"
"Stay. You're good. Even though I might fall asleep soon." You giggle.
"That's fine." Yunho answers. The two of you continue to talk a bit about how home has been for Yunho and what you had been up to over the weekend. After the cute giggles and playful teasing, there's a nice, comforting silence that falls between you two. Yunho almost believes you've fallen asleep until you sleepily break the silence by calling his name.
"Yunho?" There you go, calling his name like you always do. It's becoming a weakness for him.
"Hm?"
"Thanks for always showing me the moon."
"Course." He matches your tone, and responds close to a whisper. Another silence settles in, but Yunho is positive you've fallen asleep due to the very small and soft snores he hears on the other line. He chuckles to himself before setting his phone aside, keeping the call connected on speaker in case anything went wrong.
He'd be there.

see you tonight.
yunho's absence and message made your morning into something infinite. got out of bed as if you had spent the whole night drinking, but what actually felt was a terrible emotional hangover. the memory of yunho haunted you as if he had never left, and almost had the damn sensation of his lips going all over your skin, as well as that sweet smell of his still stuck in your nostrils. his attitude was strange enough in itself to leave you thinking all day, but if you added the idea that he had been with another woman close enough to leave her scent on him, and the fucking fact that he had left you alone in bed after you let him spend the night for the first time after so many pleas, it was going to drive you crazy. was literally all you could think about all morning. it was, in fact, what you were thinking about when your doorbell rang, being so immersed in the memory of your fucking ex that the fright was such that you threw the coffee cup, which you'd been stirring for twenty minutes now while leaning against the kitchen counter, onto the floor. "shit!" you grunt for a moment before the doorbell rings again, and several times in a row "coming, i'm coming!" had absolutely no idea who it was, but it did nothing but fuck your mood even more.
you were very surprised to see that it was chaeyoung. well, an exaggeratedly angry version of chaeyoung. if thought you were in a bad mood, you were a puppy next to your best friend at that moment "i didn't come in just in case that asshole's still here. you better hide him, because i'll chew him up and spit him in the toilet, and u're next" she said pointing her index finger at you, still not crossing the threshold of the door. you sighed, stepping to the side to let her know she could come in.
"easy beast, he's not here." she snorted, entering your house in a bad temper. you couldn't blame her, but she had a lot of things to blame you. followed her into the kitchen, feeling slightly anxious. the only times you had ever seen chaeyoung like that was always when was involved with yunho, yunho's friends or the university. you had never been her target. you knew for a fact how much she loved you, in a practically sisterly way, so you understood perfectly why she practically left a trail of flames wherever she passed by. you would have appeared the same, or worse "careful, there's glass on the floor" you warn, she automatically grabbed several paper napkins and bent down to wipe the huge coffee stain on the floor. you imitated her.
"i've called tons of times, and left lots of messages." she accused, you sighed "the least you could do is call me back" looked at her with a mixture of shame and embarrassment building up in the pit of your stomach. you couldn't say anything, because she was right. not only had you blown them off the night before, but ignored them all and with no reasons. that's probably why seungcheol wasn't with chaeyoung to find out what happened after he left. he was too upset to show up at your house, and it was more than clear that he would have told chaeyoung why you didn't go to the club.
"m so sorry" you mumble, "wasn't in the mood. know that's no excuse, but…"
"but nothing. it's already awfully wrong for that guy to show up at your house at night, but to be ignoring us for him? girl, it sucks" she accuses again and you nod, as if you were being scolded by your older sister "i don't understand how you could even let him into your house, after everything that's happened".
"you know we've been seeing each other, chae" you swallowed after materializing it in words for the first time to someone other than yourself or yunho himself.
"yeah" she groaned in annoyance "but thought u guys fucked at parties or something, not that you let him get into your house?"
"we're all grown up now, chaeyoung" you sigh, picking up a few pieces of glass again, trying not to cut yourself and in the process avoiding her gaze. she stood up, throwing away a handful of soggy papers and picking up a few more to continue drying the floor.
"oh really? well doesn't look like it" she then growls "look, u can fuck whoever u want, but be consequent. u can't just disappear the whole night and leave us all worrying"
"i'm really sorry" repeated "it was a bit of a weird night" you confess once finished collecting all the crystals, cutting a small awkward silence "did u have a good time at least?" chaeyoung denied.
"cheol came in pretty upset, he told us what happened and we tried to call you several times after a while. still were going to stay, but then we saw yunho's little friends and seungcheol didn't want to continue the night. he and han went home together and i went home with jihyo" she related, making you sigh again.
"they didn't say anything to any of you, have they?" she denied, you nodded in relief.
"you know how overprotective he is with you and the whole thing with those guys" threw away the last handful of papers once the floor was finally clean, grabbing another cup from your cupboard and a capsule of coffee "at least tell me what's going on, and what happened last night".
so you did. recounted in detail everything that had happened, from the episode at the emergency exit, to yunho dumping that girl for you, and ending with the night before. you put special emphasis on one detail "he smelled like another chick!?" she practically shouted, you dropped your back on the back of the couch and nodded "he finished being with some chick and came to see u?" he snorted "i thought he couldn't, but he get even more scraggly. he must have been training"
"he's coming tonight" you confessed, causing chaeyoung's eyes to practically pop out of their holes.
"and you're even dumber, i see."
"wanna see him, chae."
"that's the first sign why you shouldn't do it. never again. fuck him. but no literally!"
you'd love to say that the conversation with your best friend did some good. that you took matters into your own hands and wrote yunho to tell him you didn't want him around, that he should stay the fuck home. but the reality was much different, much sadder and, from chaeyoung's point of view, ridiculous. your friend didn't understand what it was about this guy that kept you so interested, and you didn't exactly know either. but if there was ever a time when you really felt the need to see him, it was that night. his attitude and that message had to mean something, and it's not like you were able to ignore everything you felt while being with him.
luckily, now that you had finally been completely honest with her, chaeyoung decided she wouldn't leave you alone and tried her best to keep your mind off yunho, almost like the first time she had to deal with what he left of you when he cheated. it worked for a few hours, but as the time approached when you had to get ready to leave, it became clear how the anxiety was eating away at your confidence. you checked your cell phone every few moments, feraring a message from him, or maybe even hoping for one. chae watched you worriedly. she knew for sure that the time when you would relapse would come. yunho would be a problem again, because you two were in love and it didn't end well. one of you would come crawling back, but she hoped it wouldn't be you and that when he did, you would kick him back to his house.
"so can i borrow the black one then?" she asked with her head dipped in your closet. you laughed again, affirming with a guttural sound while trying not to go too overboard with the lip liner "great! i was looking forward to trying it on. it's so pretty!"
"just had to ask for it" you tell her once you finish filling in your lips in a gorgeous burgundy shade matching the dress you wore that night, and which didn't go unnoticed by your friend.
"how is it possible that u been looking like shit all day and now you look like you came out of a magazine?" she grunts, making you laugh again "it's cute" commented, sitting on the edge of the bed and looking at your reflection in the glass of the dressing table. you were doing the same, trying to gain confidence in your image. knew you looked pretty, but didn't feel particularly well. "haven't worn it in a while, have you?" chaeyoung asked, getting your attention. you look at her a little confused "the dress" you smile faintly at her, nodding.
didn't really wanted to have to explain it to her, but the outfit you were wearing that night was a real statement of intent, because it was exactly the same one you had the night you met yunho. it was still quite nice, a little less revealing than what you've been wearing lately, but sexy enough to fit a night like that. telling chaeyoung something like that would end up driving her crazy, but the truth is that you were wearing it hoping yunho would remember the dress. as you looked at yourself wearing it in the mirror, remembered all the times he told you how beautiful you looked and how much he loved the dress. he even asked you to wear it again several times throughout the relationship, but saved it for a special occasion because it meant so much to you. didn't know why, but that night you needed the confidence that dress gave you. it was probably a mistake, but you would do it anyway.
it wasn't too long before you arrived at the same place that had already visited countless times, and where the story with your ex was awakened with a fuck at the emergency exit of the reserved area. you felt a little better when you let the lively atmosphere captivate you, letting yourself be carried away by the incredibly cheerful and energetic attitude of your best friend, who guided you to the same place as always, where your friends were already waiting.
the first thing you did was apologize to all of them, and especially to seungcheol, who didn't take more than a few seconds to fall for your charms and your puppy face to hug you and kiss your forehead, even though he made you promise not to do something like that to them again "a message is enough. just want to know you're okay". the way it had started, the night had potential. and you could have taken advantage of it; you could have drunk, danced and laughed with the amazing friends you had at your disposal. you could have even tried to meet someone new, like the guy at the bar who had left his number on a napkin he shamelessly gave you, because didn't need one and hadn't asked for, during one of the many times you visited the bar in such a ridiculously short period of time. just like went to the bathroom, to smoke with jeonghan -when you didn't even smoke- and any excuse that was plausible enough and allowed you to browse the place as many times as possible, in search of a single person. of course, your friends asked you if everything was all right, but with the help of chaeyoung, who knew what was going on and didn't want to worry them, you distracted them. it was about one in the middle of the night when you finally saw him appear in the crowd, looking particularly handsome that night. he wore a white yarn sweater, the collar quite wide, revealing his collarbone, beautifully decorated with a couple of necklaces and highlighting the width of his shoulders. his hair was apparently messy, but you knew that he had probably spent a long time in front of the mirror checking every strand, and it had certainly paid off.
you didn't even try to find an excuse to meet him that time. just jumped up and left the reserved area, not listening to any of your friends' questions. from the stairs you could see him reaching a table at the down floor, where a couple of girls were sitting that you didn't remember seeing before. noticed him greeting one of them with a kiss on the cheek, bringing that smell back to your memory, but made sure to ignore the idea that crossed your mind and faded as soon as you saw him looking for you in the reserved area himself. he approached the stairs as you went down, so you decided to wait at the end of them "finally!" you said almost without breaking, sounding a little - too - excited to see him. yunho was about to speak, but your impatience interrupted him with a soft kiss on the lips that was confused to say the least, swallowing his words, not even sure what he wanted to say to you. with a sincere smile, you pulled his wrist to a corner a little further away from his friends and yours, a little further away from the crowd, and while he was still silent, you allowed yourself to kiss him again, leaning your back against the dark wall of the room. took a few seconds for yunho to react, feeling a slight panic sweep through his body, but deciding to surrender to you again. it was much easier to be carried away by your lips, so he brought one of his hands to your waist while cradled your neck with the other to deepen the kiss. felt as if the night before had not ended, as if the truce you had happily signed yesterday had continued to stand against all odds. "took a long time, yuyu" said to him as you separated to get some oxygen. he didn't even open his eyes before kissing you again.
he pressed his body closer to yours, breathing into your lips and making you feel like you're in a damn cloud9. buried both hands in his hair, stroking him as if to calm him, "hi" mumbled over your lips. actually, you didn't even hear it, you guessed it.
"been waiting for you" you confessed, not even thinking about how your attitude let yunho look a little deeper into you. "thought you wouldn't come" he remained silent, looking into your eyes like trying to find something. in fact, he was looking for some sign of remorse, of hatred, of resentment, of anger. some trace of everything you were giving him all this time, but he found in you nothing more than a honest desire to see him. he sighed heavily and took some distance from you, though his hands never left your body, going up to your face to cradle it once more. you held his wrists and smiled sweetly, "don't have a very good face, yuyu" you stated, looking genuinely concerned, "u ok?" yunho felt his chest shrink as the sweetness colored your words.
it was like you were doing it on purpose, as if you were fighting with your last ace to keep him close. he had worked hard to get to this point, he had fought against everything he felt so that would be moderately comfortable with what was about to happen. but it would only be fine if you continued to be a fucking bitch to him, one who didn't seem to care about anything. now that you looked at him as if you really wanted to be with him, as if you cared about his well-being and kissed him so lovingly, how could he say something like that to you? how could he not grab the last burning nail that was your relationship?
"no, i'm not well" he confessed. you took a careful breath and gently changed your sweet expression to a worried one. something was really wrong.
"here, let's sit" you suggest, pointing to the high chairs a few feet away "and maybe i can help you" if he didn't know you well enough, yunho would swear that you were trying to torture him playing with his feelings to trap him in your web so he would never leave you. but in actual fact, you were genuinely concerned about him and wanted to help him. reaching the chairs, without letting go of his hands, you sit facing each other. legs are intertwined, you only have to move a little closer to kiss him again, which you did, "come on sweetie, tell me".
"why 're u treating me so well?" he asked suddenly, almost burning with the torture of having you so close again.
you pursed your lips, tilting your head with a shy smile, "don't know" confessed this time, "yesterday was a nice day, i guess" yunho sighed with the memory of your naked body hugging his all night, making him feel like the fucking worst person in the whole earth.
"i have been waiting for you to look at me like this for a long time" with a weak and deep voice, it comes out almost in a wail "it is not fair that you act like this today" you looked at him with some confusion while he avoided your eyes as much as he could. instead, he look at your body without taking a second to notice what you're wearing. a grimace of sarcasm crossed his face, and he couldn't help but think that what you were trying to do to him must be some kind of heavy joke.
"today? what's happening today?"
"i've been doing the best that i can for about, how long, maybe a year?" his voice rises slightly and you can hear some bitterness in it. by contrast, yunho never lets go of your hands, making the grip harder and focus all the attention on them laying over the dress you are wearing "i have respected your space and accepted all the times you kicked me away" he said, you parted your lips without knowing exactly what to say, feeling more confused by the moment "gave you love whenever u were around, just to make u feel wanted and wash away what i did" you blinked several times, trying to pull your hands away, but he held them firmly, "went where you wanted, when you wanted, even when i knew you were doing with other guys" he sighed heavily, sharpening his gaze and finally looking at you. "needed to see me so fucked up to empathize with me a little? or did you realize that you still love me?"
when he looked into your eyes, you didn't like what you saw. no clue if all that anger and pain had always been there or if something you are missing had happened and yunho was actually in pain. the only thing you were sure about was that your patience was too thin to keep listening to him, and the sarcasm of his words didn't help at all. or did you realize that you still love me?
you yanked hard from his hands, surprising him but managing to escape his grip. denied with a bitter smile before said "let it go, it was a mistake", you said it out loud, but those words were more for you than for him. wanted to leave it there now that you still had some will to have a good night, but suddenly yunho realized he couldn't let you go that easily. the pride he had been swallowing all this time returned all at once and he was not willing to let you be the one to decide the course of the conversation again. yunho had come to this place with a damned purpose, and he was going to fulfill it whether you wanted or not. he stopped you down impulsively, grabbed your wrist and pulled back towards him. almost crashed into his chest, but you reacted quickly and put a hand on his shirt, pushing him back "what's wrong with u?"
"with me!?" he opened his eyes as if you had told him the most savage thing he had ever heard in his life, "the problem here is you!" suddenly yunho grabbed your shoulders and pushed you back against the wall, surrounding you with both arms into a corner so he can look down on you. it felt like you were tiny, and that wasn't what you needed that night, "come to me like you need to see me, kiss me, care about me, and in that fucking dress!" you looked away from him when his breath crash into your face so aggressively, because yunho was yelling, almost out of control and too close for your comfort. caught your breath to regulate the tension in your chest, feeling slightly dizzy. you looked like a prey, trapped under your ex's harsh and unforgiving voice, full of resentment "am a joke to u? wearing this on just to hurt me, yeah?" he growled. despite the toughness of his words, yunho was far from feeling tough inside. he was pushing himself to the limit, trying to contain a huge amount of emotions that he did not know how to handle at a time like this, when he had you in front of him and the person he decided to commit to just a few steps away, waiting for him.
when he got up in the morning next to you, had a feeling that he holds the world in his hands again. he barely slept through the night and made sure to stay close to you as long as possible, watching you as you rested, with your chest rising and falling gently, your peaceful face and your body completely relaxed. no tension, no fighting and no bitterness. you were an angel - his angel -, and he told himself he was the luckiest man in the world to be able to watch such a spectacle. yunho also realized you still had some habits, such as sleeping on your right side - which made yunho get used to sleeping on his left side so he could hug you -; you still talked a bit at night, and still hadn't given up your eagerness to steal his blanket whenever you had the chance. but his favorite, which he treasured as a precious memory, and which he loved to see you kept, was your adorable need to cuddle at night. he wondered more than once if you'd gotten over it because didn't have him anymore, or if you were holding plush animals like you once told him you did before living together. now that he had you there, tied to his torso as if you never wanted him to leave, he was afraid to even breathe too hard in case you moved and let him go. it was hard for him to give in to sleep, but was overly nice to see you again when he woke up. sure, you moved and were no longer holding him, but you were holding his hand. really seemed that you needed any contact with him as much as he needed you to do it.
knowing he must go while you were still asleep, he tempted his fate and stayed for almost an hour. the thought of leaving you was killing him, and his tears were the only witness, but it was better to go for himself than to let you push him again. was certainly sure he couldn't take it after having you this way again. he worked hard to convince himself that it was best to get away from you and trust her. she was good for him, but you weren't, because you could offer him nothing but nostalgia and the ghost of the woman he fell in love with. yunho told himself that the last night you spent together was almost a mirage, a kind of truce he had signed with you, but that it expired as soon as the sun rose on the horizon. so you wouldn't want him there anymore then, not knowing you haven't forgive him yet. he needed to stop blaming himself because you didn't want him anymore, to stop punishing himself with your kisses and your fleeting caresses, no matter how sweet they were. she looked like a white promise at the end of all this agony. couldn't even believe that she was giving him a second chance after what he had done to her for you, but he told himself he wouldn't mess it up this time, that would let you go and that you wouldn't suffer because you were really just playing with him. yunho wouldn't have to see you cry and he wouldn't cry for you anymore.
what he did not expect was to see you the next day in that dress that meant so much to both of us, taking him back to the night you met, while your eyes showed him a genuine illusion to see it again. he could even see the pain in your pupils as his voice, against all odds, became much harsher. he should hate you, but he hated himself instead "yunho, enough. wanna leave".
"oh, u want to go now?" he insisted, making you swallow hard while see him shocking his head many times "please tell me what you want from me" you looked him in the eyes again, an uncertain gaze locked with his. could barely make out the colors of his face in the dim light of the room, but you could clearly see the damage in his look, "can't take it anymore" he almost sobbed, dropping his head down to the floor "i can't keep paying for what i did. need u to stop punishing me, it's not fair to either of us anymore" locked out, the air was missing and could only feel the strong fragrance that yunho wore that night clouding your senses. you tried to concentrate on his words, but they only hurt. it was as if he had hit you so hard that all you could hear was a hollow and annoying sound. yunho kept talking to you, becoming more and more impatient with your silence, and in the midst of all the dull noise, your face began to fall as his words began to sink in. you thought coldly about what he was really telling you and a sour taste grew in your throat. you'd swear you'd fall to the ground if yunho hadn't left you barely space to breathe, intoxicating you with his accusations.
"yunho" mumbled, sealing his lips so he could hear you after trying to get your attention so much "if u don't like it, just leave" your head remained a little bowed, as if the neck couldn't bear the weight, so you looked at him from below "fair, you say?" snorted in denial as you closed your eyes again "know what's not fair? your boyfriend cheating on you, and knowing about it by a pic that someone sent of him kissing that fucking chick. that's not fair" yunho was going to say something, but you cut him off "it's neither fair that you came home the next morning and covered yourself with a lie, not fair that you kissed me with the same mouth that you kissed another girl the night before. that you came home every morning of every weekend without feeling the slightest bit of guilt until i discovered you, that's not fucking fair" yunho stepped back a little, letting you breathe a bit easier "it's also not fair the fact u forced seven fucking people who were also my friends to lie to me to cover up your fucking betrayal" looked at him again "know what it was like for me to lose u and all of them at once? that. is. not. fair" you spitted bitterly, punctuating every word "i saw the person i trusted the most taking away those we considered our friends, and yet you also took away my first love, my home, and everything i felt for u" here they were again, the tears piling up and threatening to wet yunho's cheeks, while you felt like tearing out every piece of yourself, every single night you spent awake missing him. you were now throwing them out in the form of all the conclusions you came to between cries and tears "so if you think what's happening is unfair, you'd better go and leave me alone for good" you were angry, and your words were not what really was in your heart, but weren't able to control yourself in the same way that he wasn't able to. however, also failed to calculate the consequences of what you just said.
"that's exactly what 'm trying to do" he replied, now at a safe distance from you.
"how do u say?" despite the word just spitted, you were incredulous.
"'m leaving you, leaving this" his cold gaze froze your body "i am tired, tired of you" he confessed. didn't even know how you felt at that time, but yunho wasn't finished with you yet "i've met someone, and i think i like this girl, but need to be away from you to find out" that was the masterstroke. the last words he needed to end you, with everything you had built since decided to focus on yourself, everything you had risked to bring him back into your life. even though you had managed to recover from all the hits he had soothed you with his words, there was no turning back from what he had just said so easily.
words sharp as blades pierced your whole body mercilessly, straight from the same lips that kissed you so lovingly just moments ago. you clearly heard something inside breaking again. i'm tired of you. his voice echoed in your head, as if he would never stop shouting it in your ear, over and over again, like a damned mantra he'd decided to tattoo on your skin. yunho knew for real he was being cruel, he watched almost in slow motion how your pride faded away as the light in your eyes started to dim, but he couldn't help his mouth breathing away what his broken heart was crying out.
the strident music fades and instead you only hear this one sentence and a high-pitched sound drowns your eardrums, you have the feeling that they will even start to bleed if you try to say something else, but all your pride has vanished with your breath. you have nothing more to say, and even if you tried, would not be able to hear a single word, so you close your eyes and try to erase yunho from your mind, but of course, his silhouette appears in the darkness of your eyelids, smiling and laughing at you, reminding the horrible person you are. felt so out of place, so confused and lost in a feeling of incorrigible pain, even greater than the first time yunho left, that don't even know how you have returned to the side of your friends. when you figure it out, you're sitting next to them and they're talking to each other as if you weren't there. inside, everything fell apart. on the outside, your face remained blank, almost serene. you craved to scream, wanted to find yunho again and shout him that it was all his fault.
the image of your boyfriend, with whom you even shared an apartment, kissing another girl, along with the certainty that he had been hiding it for god knows when, still burning inside your eyes and were not exaggerating when you said that it was the first time you felt the pain of a betrayal, added to the pain of a broken heart and the sudden loneliness. well, if you had to be completely honest with yourself, you hadn't handled what happened right, and had to admit that you were cruel. but within the pain you felt at that moment, the idea that it was yunho who had broken you to such an extreme, that it was yunho who was wrong first, who broke you and all that you were, shone more brightly in your head.
your gaze wandered from one side to another. the floor, the ceiling, the round table in the center of your seats, filled with full and empty glasses, the distand and happy faces of your friends, seungcheol holding one of your hands and giving you a loving grimace… the neon red of the exit sign where you fell into yunho's arms again.the light soon blinded you slightly, feeling your gaze begin to unfocus as the bright red dazzled you and tears unconsciously welled up at the edge of your pupils. memories of your ex filled your blurred vision, pulling you away from reality and back to the image of his lips on yours, begging you to stay a little longer. his hands craving around your skin, trying to keep you close. now all that was gone. i think i love that girl, but i need to be away from you to know. and to think that you had stayed devoted to his arms, while he sought solace in another girl.
when you were able to refocus your gaze, found yourself looking at yunho's table in the distance. everyone seemed perfectly happy, including your ex, who was hugging who you assumed was the girl that took him away from you, who was winning his heart, the same heart had been your home " honey, is everything okay?" when you heard seungcheol's voice, suddenly realized you are already truly crying, feeling the happiness of those boys as a direct attack on you. why, if you were the victim, were the only one still suffering? "baby, look at me" seungcheol quickly located where your gaze was heading and gently picked up your chin to force you to stop hurting yourself, trying to comfort you with a warm smile and a kiss on the forehead.
"guess 'm not at my peak" you let out a chuckle far from funny and wiped away your tears.
with his thumb, seungcheol caressed your wet cheek and raised both eyebrows "we have two options. i can take you home, you'll take a shower, we'll watch anything on tv and i promise i'll play your hair until you fall asleep if it'll make you feel better" the smile grew natural on your lips, provoking a similar one on his face. he couldn't help it even if he wanted to and he wouldn't; sex or not, you were his best friend and one of the most important person in his life since you both were able to open up to each other, understand each other, support each other and care for each other. he had met many people in his life because he was someone of a social nature, but with you it was a crush in any sense you wanted to take it. he was sure that whatever you could offer him would be enough, because loved you sincerely and would prove it "or you can stay here with all of us, try to enjoy the night and not let anything or anyone else get the better of you" knew perfectly well what his words meant, because he wasn't stupid and no matter how much you had tried to hide it, he clearly saw something big going on with yunho, and confirmed it as soon as he saw you unable to take your eyes off him and that beautiful girl he wouldn't let go even for a stand second "both options are valid and in both i promise not to leave you alone at any time. it's up to you" you took a breath with lips sealed, biting them slightly at your pathetic image going home early for a fucking cheating guy, who was also happily a few meters away enjoying himself after breaking your heart for the second time.
you wondered if you were too naive, if you really didn't know him that well and those looks full of love and pleading he so often gave when you were together were nothing but pure show, a fake better than yours designed to fuck up your life even more. was yunho so cruel, so cold and manipulative? that night, you needed to believe that he was.
"think i can give this place a second chance today" you spoke unsure of your decision, but willing to at least give it a try. yunho couldn't stop you, wouldn't let him, and you knew that seungcheol was ready to help with that.
"that's my girl" he said, kissing your cheek "in that case, i have something for you" you watched as he pulled out his wallet from his denim jacket, showing you a small black baggie that brought a new smile to your face "are you in?"
"sharing is for pretty people" chaeyoung appeared at your back, holding out her hand to seungcheol, who laughed and didn't fail to leave a small white pill in the palm of her hand, but to you he put it straight into your mouth, with a greedy smirk that you were quite used to and that made you slightly fall into his game. you stuck out your tongue slowly, where he left the pearl while looking at your eyes, brushing your tongue with his fingers and listening to him saying again that's my girl but, this time, several octaves lower.
however, cheol didn't move any more cards in that direction with you afterwards, again respecting your boundaries, which you were extremely grateful for. if you had to take it out on your best friend, you didn't want to do it. it seemed like playing dirty, even though you knew for a fact that he'd be more than glad to offer himself to the cause. it wouldn't happen, but his attitude helped to immerse you in the night.
while you waited patiently - as long as you could - for the substances to take effect in your system, you tried to distract yourself with literally anything. smiled, talked to all your friends at the table, joked even with them and tried to laugh heartily when the others did, but your attempts were not enough to contain your fucking curiosity and the inertia to satiate it by looking back to yunho's table.
sometimes, he wasn't there and you could only see his friends, because she was never there if he wasn't. you'd even swear that, on a couple of occasions, yunho looked in your direction too, but couldn't say for sure because, when you got that feeling, you looked away like a fucking coward. the last time it happened, your eyes ran to the bottom of your empty glass, and the need to cover your shame with alcohol fills your patience. obviously, you asked cheol to come to get another drink, and fulfilling his promise, he took your hand and walked with you downstairs to the bar. the crowd was heavy that night, which wouldn't bother you on any other occasion, but on this one felt the anxiety fill your lungs and keep the oxygen out. to make matters worse, a guy a little shorter than cheol walked up to him. you saw them hugging and understood immediately that they hadn't seen each other for a long time "babe, give me a minute. pay for the drinks, today it's on me" he took out his wallet again and put it in your hands "you'll be fine" you nodded with a smile, knowing would be very selfish if you told him otherwise "i'll be right back" cheol kissed your hand lightly before disappearing into the crowd. the thought of running into yunho, that girl or one of his friends hit your mind immediately afterwards, and had to take a deep breath not to run upstairs, because you didn't feel confident enough to face any of them, especially not your damn ex. luckily, you were served quickly and soon had full glasses in hands, so you opened cheol's wallet to pay the bill. that's when you met up again with the little black baggie.
the idea inevitably crossed your mind. looked around to find the people and the music were thick and mingled inside you with heaviness, feeling genuinely overwhelmed and the night didn't seem to be getting any better. although you'd already had one, this time it hadn't had any effect, so maybe… a second pill wouldn't be such a bad idea, would it? before you could think clearly - and realize that it was a terrible idea - you had the pill in your teeth, putting the bag back in seungcheol's wallet, who appeared seconds later accompanied by the same guy from earlier. you sighed, honestly a little uneasy because it was the first time you'd taken two pills in one night, but were too sober to stay on your feet. had run out of any strategy to keep you distracted and your gaze kept coming back to yunho and that damn girl over and over again. you were afraid of being too obvious, starting to cry again, or that some guy in that fucking group would notice you staring at them. "vernon, meet my favourite girl" the presentations were short, but pleasant. you soon find out that he's actually american and has been living there for a while, so it was great to see cheol again, a feeling that soon rubbed off on you. he was a really strange guy, but funny and very, very nice.
after talking to vernon for a while, which really kept you distracted - wouldn't be lying if you said that meeting him was almost a promise that the night could get better - it wasn't long before you finally felt your body react chemically. no clue if it was the fact that you were a little more relaxed, or that the dose was already high enough to have an effect on someone who was already used to a single pill, but suddenly, felt energetic and some kind of adrenaline rush hit you, along with the urge to expend that shot of electricity by partying for real. pulling your new friend along towards the same destination, the rest soon followed, tired from sitting on those leather couches all night. when finally made your way through the crowd of people, the music vibrated through your body, causing you to crack a smile that felt like it would tear at the corner of your lips. you knew yunho was close, but at that moment, didn't give a shit, focusing on nothing but your breathing becoming heavy in your chest as you jumped on the track, your heart pumping so fast that couldn't count the beats even if you wanted to.
at the height of the ecstasy you were experiencing for the first time, it felt like hours had passed, but in actual fact it only took two or three songs for the situation to change radically. in one of your little hops to the music, you clearly felt your knees failing to break your fall, and if it hadn't been for vernon and seungcheol's quicker arms, you would have crashed to the floor along with your glass, which shattered into pieces. it wasn't a big deal, and if you were in your senses, would have laughed at the situation and the fact that had already broken two glasses in one day. but not right then.
right then, you felt like every single look in thet club was falling on you. the hollow sound of glass crashing on the floor deafened you for a moment, and you could only focus on all those judgmental stares on your body, as if they knew you had just fucked up. as if they knew you had been dumped for someone else, that you were high and that, in reality, you would rather have taken cheol's first offer and gone home to rest and cry all the broken feelings pouring out of your heart. your breathing, once heavy, now became scarce. you had to hold on tightly to vernon's arm, who brought both hands to your sides to give you balance "beautiful, are you okay?" cheol asked you and you looked him practically panic-stricken in the eyes. you wanted to say no, that your heart was going too fast but you had no strength in either leg. you then tried to speak, but sickness built up in the pit of your stomach, causing a gag and forcing you to cover your mouth with a hand and only deny it.
seungcheol's reaction was, thankfully, fast. he whispered something in vernon's ear that you couldn't hear and gave you a quick smile before he disappeared running, or trying to, into the crowd. so far, you had been drinking quite a lot and quite possibly too much, so he opted not to waste a second trying to help. you wanted to follow him, confused and increasingly dizzy, but vernon held you tightly and forced a hand around his waist for a better grip "he'll be back. come with me upstairs" spoke in your ear. he broke away, looking at your legs slightly bent under your own weight "can u walk?" you nodded, gripping his waist even tighter before starting to move.

you had never experienced this feeling before. your legs were not responding and could clearly feel your body getting heavier by second, along with the involuntary bouncing of your head, like you had been drinking uncontrollably all night. it got worse as you approached the stairs, each step becoming a world, "there is not much left" vernon said, trying to cheer you up. you could see how was struggling not to fall down the stairs pulling your weight up, and couldn't help but feel stupid and helpless, because your head seemed to be working quite fast, with some clarity, but no part of your body wanted to cooperate. it was only when vernon finally managed to drop you into one of the couches in the reserved area that the fear really took over. every muscle in your body was so numb that you barely felt it, "easy, stay easy, you're fine" vernon knelt down in front of you to be at the height of your face, holding your hands and trying to comfort you. then he approached your face, looking closely at your pupils, trying not to be too obvious. didn't want to think about it, he wanted to be wrong. but either fortunately or not, vernon was quite sure of what was happening to you, and even though he tried to calm you down, because he also knew that it would be much worse if you found out, he was scared, and the deep black that suffocated your iris did not help.
seungcheol finally arrived with several small bottles of water and a tiny towel he had to ask for at the bar. you listened with a certain distance as vernon explained that your body was practically dead and you swore that you could hear your friend's heart racing as he realized how bad it really was at that point. you wanted to ask what was happening, but couldn't find any voice and only had the ability to cry, which you did when you saw cheol giving you a look of panic. he sat down on a chair in front of you and took both of your hands "hey, don't cry, don't cry" he began "i've called chaeyoung, we'll be leaving soon" you nodded in tears "but first u have to be honest with me, okay?" nodded again "did u drink something u didn't buy yourself? or any of us?" you denied this time, cheol sighed in relief "so you drank a lot then?" denied again. well, you actually drank a lot, but not enough to have you that bad.
"cheol, it's not alcohol, she's high" the music still raged in your ears and your senses weren't working properly, but you could hear vernon clearly. his words hit you like a bucket of cold water, making you cry even harder.
"high? like, drugged?" cheol repeated, notoriously confused. he was dead sure he had only given you a single pill, nothing you hadn't done a thousand times before.
"did u give her anything?" vernon denied, "nothing" he spoke honestly, "but these symptoms are not from drinking too much alcohol" vernon's voice was also full of concern, but he spoke with much more confidence than seungcheol. you opened your mouth to say sorry, wanted to tell the truth and apologize for being so stupid and irresponsible, but once again a gag forced you to shut up, sobbing in your seat in defeat as you tightened the grip of cheol's hands.
"what happened!?" you immediately recognized the voice of your friend nearby, and soon the left side of the couches sank, "u okay?" she cradled your face with both hands, getting a bad surprise when she saw the paleness of your skin soaked with tears.
"think it might be an overdose," Vernon spoke, "she've taken something, hasn't she?" your friends nodded.
"but we've done it many times, nothing like this has ever happened before." chaeyoung's voice cracked as she tried to talk to vernon.
"she must have taken something else" he approached your face again, lighting you up with his phone to see that your pupils, which turned your irises practically black, barely reacted to the intense light of the flashlight "for the moment she is awake, but it might be a matter of time before she collapses"
"don't mess with me, man" cheol complained, "we have to call an ambulance"
vernon took a deep breath before he replied "if you do, remember that this is punishable in korea" his voice seemed much more loaded with anxiety "she is not going to get rid of his drug use easily."
"and what should we do? expect the worst!?" chaeyoung was crying. you heard it clearly in her voice, and you felt your heart break for the second time that night, guilt and fear paralyzing any little sense you had left in your body, hating yourself for bringing yourself to such situation.
"of course not!" you felt the other end of the couch sink way, "we need to try getting her to vomit while she still awake"
"are u sure about that?" cheol insisted, but vernon shook his head.
"i'm not, but given the sympthons and her dilated pupils, it might be."
the next event was something you wished with all your might you could wipe from your memory, but clearly it would stay with you forever, as a lesson. the three of them accompanied you, practically dragging your body, to the toilet upstairs. it was chaeyoung who helped you vomit using her own fingers, succeeding after several attempts. the bile and tears stained your face, making you feel miserable in the cheol's arms, who tried to comfort your sobbing. when they succeeded, they sighed with a sigh of relief. chaeyoung hugged you after wiping her hands, and you felt guilty again because you could still smell the stink of your vomit on her. the crying increased as they tried to comfort you, and the worst part is, as you sat on the white bathroom floor, with your head resting on cheol's chest and your other two friends trying to soothe what was obviously pain, the only person you could think of was yunho, hoping that he would somehow find out what was happening, and come to take care of you. "i'm gonna get the water from the table, try to rinse her face while" vernon spoke again.
you heard the door close, and soon after, chaeyoung closed the lock to prevent anyone from seeing you in that situation. cheol tried to lift your body, but, oddly enough, it was even heavier than before. sure you had vomited, as vernon suggested, but you didn't feel any better - the nausea was still there and all the strength in your body was just a memory. all you could do was cry "chae" he called her "chae, it's not okay" the trembling in your friend's voice finally confirming reality, was the last push before anxiety, or panic, or maybe both, took over. you began to hyperventilate, the little air that filled your lungs left and felt a horrible pressure in your chest. your legs were shaking involuntarily and although you could feel your friends holding you up, had no stability at all. you were falling. their voices were still present, calling out to you in sheer terror, lightly patting your face as the lights dimmed. until you could no longer open your eyes. it was barely a couple of minutes, seconds for you and an eternity for your friends, but your consciousness faded for a moment, and your body became completely lifeless. by the time you opened your eyes again, the white light blinded you slightly before could clearly see the face of your friends surrounding you again, swollen and drenched "fuck, she's awake!" cheol practically shouted. you quickly pulled yourself back up, taking a big breath of air before running back out to the toilet to vomit. chaeyoung followed, brushing your hair away from your face as she patted your back. you could still hear her sobbing.
"let's go home" you mumbled, relieving a little more of chae's fear, who was yet to come out of shock at how you had ended up. you, who had always been an angel, who once trembled at the thought of taking something illegal or dangerous, were now slumped over the toilet bowl, messed up and on the verge of something she would have regretted for the rest of her fucking life.
didn't have to ask twice, all of your friends without exception, even including vernon, never left leave your side for a second -genuinely scared after seeing you in such a situation-, left the place. as you dodged the crowd, you thought about what could have happened, and you couldn't even have asked for medical help without ruining your record and destroying your working future in the country. you thought about what had done to your friends, who felt helpless and lost without knowing how and when you had consumed so much as to push yourself to the limit. but most of all, being infinitely selfish, you thought about how the only person you would really want to walk you home that night, to comfort you, to hold you and not let go until the next morning, was yunho. but the only, and the last, thing you got from him after all, was a last glimpse of his arm around that other girl you had been seeing him with all night, without him even giving you a single glance as you left that fucking club.
as you walked away from his figure, blurring through the salt that irritated your eyes, realized something that clicked in your mind like the piece of a puzzle you had been trying to complete for too long, and it is that the bitter taste of failure that agonized in your head and that did not let you breathe was actually the certainty that you had lost the only thing you thought you could still keep from yunho after he betrayed you in that way, after confirmed that he did not love you by doing something like this, that he was not faithful to you, that he was not yours. you had lost the one thing you could still treasure as your greatest and darkest obsession, you had lost his attention.
and with that, you had lost him forever.

If you can excuse my vitriol, I would like to humble myself before you and request a Lavender Haze Spicy Sunday 🌶
Sooooooo when is spicy sunday happening mollyyyyyyyyy!! I need some viscount daddy in my life
Ahh alright, let's give him a chance.
If Kate thought about it, she could only remember waking before Anthony once in their entire relationship. It was the first morning she'd woken in his bed and panic had flickered in her chest as she'd looked at his watch on his wrist.
"Oh fuck!" She'd crawled out from under his sleeping form, covering her like a blanket, casting around for her clothes before she snatched up Anthony's shirt off the ground instead.
"Is everything okay?"
Kate nodded, leaning down to kiss him quickly, "I just- I have a client in an hour and I have to go home and let Newton out and I can't really go to work in that dress, so-" She cut herself off. "I had a really nice time but I'll see you at your next appointment."
Anthony's hand caught her wrist as she turned to leave, "I don't want to wait for that."
She'd chuckled, tapping him on the end of the nose, "Okay, well, you can call me like a respectable gentleman."
Anthony left out a playful growl, grinning up at her. "Come back here when you finish work."
Kate felt her eyebrows shoot up, "I have Newton."
"And I have plenty of space for a dog. Come back here, I'll make you dinner, I'll make you breakfast. Stay with me."
His eyes were so wide, so earnest, so different from how they'd been last night when his hands had roamed over her and his teeth left bruises on her neck. And she wanted what he was offering her.
"Yeah, okay." Her teeth bit into her lips as he grinned, holding her hand in his for a moment longer before he let it go, sliding his watch off his wrist and fastening it around her own.
"Now you have to come back."
"You're stupid." She'd chuckled before she bent again, ruffling his hair.
"You seduced this stupid man."
"You're damn right I did."
She'd gone to work with Anthony's shirt on, and jeans she'd tugged from the back of her wardrobe. She'd ignored Sophie little sigh Oh, hello pot, it's kettle calling. She'd gone about her day, ignoring the fact that her client said, You've got lipstick on your collar, remembering how warm and peaceful it had felt with Anthony's arms around her, and her muscles aching a little deliciously even as she left, and then she'd had to stop dead at the door of her flat, Newton straining on his leash and harness, desperate to get wherever he was going.
"Hey, are you close?"
Kate blinked at the sound of Anthony's voice, "I'd like to be. Only I've just realised I have no fucking idea where you live."
His laughter had burst through the phone and somehow that had felt just as warm.
They lived together, in that house now. Hell, she'd practically moved in with him that first weekend until he burst through the door of her shop and slapped a key down on the desk. Move in with me! And Anthony always woke first. Whether it was to make breakfast, or because his workday started hours before hers did. She always felt him stirring behind her and sometimes, when she did wake early, she pretended to be asleep.
Anthony's arms were always warm around her as he stirred, and his lips brushed her cheek before he tucked her hair neatly back behind her ear. His footsteps were light when he made his way downstairs and she heard him in the kitchen, and still she didn't stir when he dropped a mug of coffee on the nightstand followed by a plate of breakfast. And his voice was warm and rough when he kissed her on the forehead Love you, Katie.
It had nearly brought tears to her eyes the first time it had happened, it still did as he slipped into the shower now and steam filled the air around them.
He slipped out of the bathroom with a towel tied low around his hips, water still dripping down her chest and she sighed at the way her stomach still dropped at the sight of him. He had more ink now, curling around his chest, laid in by her own hand, including the one just over his heart, a black diamond ring with the words Lady Kate written underneath and the sight of it on his pale skin made something smug and satisfied flicker in her chest.
Anthony picked his way into the wardrobe, carefully assessing his suits, smoothing back his hair, his chest rippling.
"Grey suit today."
Kate's voice was rough from sleep and Anthony didn't startle but she saw his lips curve in a smirk as he took out a dark grey suit, holding it up against himself. "Is this to your satisfaction?"
"With the navy shirt." Kate sighed, "Navy tie as well."
Anthony raised his eyebrow, holding it up against himself, "Yes?"
Kate narrowed her eyes, pretending to think, "I might have made a mistake."
"Did you?"
"Yeah I think you'll look better with nothing on at all."
She saw Anthony's eyes darken, and the muscle at the corner of his jaw clench and his voice was rough again when he spoke, "That was smooth."
Kate tossed her hair, pulling back the covers delighting a little in the way he bit back a groan at the sight of her, and his eyes darkened again. "Are you going to do something about it?"
Anthony walked forward until he was right in front of her, his broad chest looming over her. "Spread your legs, Sweetheart."
Kate didn't even bother to bite back the whine that escaped her and she felt her legs fall open for him, aching already and he hadn't even touched her yet. Anthony's smile was a dangerous thing as placed his knee on the mattress right at the apex of her thighs. He let out a gruff noise at the feel of her against his skin and tilted her chin until her eyes were staring directly into his. He took her hand slowly, the one with his ring on it and curved her fingers around the towel.
She tugged and the soft fabric came free under her hands while his hands tilted her hips up until they were grinding against his knee.
He was so warm, Anthony was always so warm. From the way he treated people right down to the fact his body always seemed like a furnace and she felt his heat now, flickering to life in her. A moan fell from her lips already as she slid against his skin, still damp from the shower.
Anthony leaned over her until their chest were flush together and she felt the friction of their bodies every time she moved. His voice was rough and his tongue marked her skin when he spoke, "Be a good girl for me. Come for me just like this."
Kate could feel her fingernails biting into his shoulders, tugging him closer as the heat built and built and she could feel release just on the other side, desperate to increase the pace and she let out a frustrated whine as he shook his head and his hands kept the pace steady.
"Anthony, please."
He shook his head again before he ducked it moving his knee to rest more firmly against her. "I said no Kate. Like this."
His lips started trailing slowly down her neck, down her collarbone, down her chest, his teeth nipped her skin softly and his tongue laved over her and she was almost-
"Come, Kate."
His firm voice pushed her over the edge with a sharp cry as the air left her lungs and she gripped him tighter but Anthony didn't let her fall all the way back down.
He spread her legs wider with a devilish smile, sent straight from hell to ruin her, and his knee disappeared and her hands pulled his hips closer, hers rocking against them. She saw his throat bob and a muffled curse left his lips at the feel of her.
Oh Fuck, Kate.
At the first thrust of his hips Kate was lost to it. Anthony;s eyes rolled back in his head and his hair fell over his forehead and the headboard hit lightly against the wall and she couldn't take her eyes off him. There wasn't anything in the entire world but him, but them and the rhythm their bodies made. Anthony's muscles strained as he kept himself suspended above her and one hand fell to her chest as though he was desperate to feel more of her.
I love you, fuck I love you, Kate
There was no way she could doubt it, not with the way he focused on her, not with the way he made her feel and the way his lips brushed hers and his hips sent her soaring forward. Kate could feel her shoulders heaving as she fought for breath and the sheets burned against her skin with the friction of their bodies and his name fell from her lips again and again and again until she couldn't breathe at all. Until there was nothing but their gasps and moans bouncing off the walls and the rhythmic snap of the headboard, fast fast slow slow.
And suddenly there was nothing she could do to stop herself from falling again. She let out a sharp cry and Anthony's hips snapped out of rhythm with a sharp shout of her name and he shuddered against her.
"You have to go to work." Kate groaned after several minutes, her hands running through his hair gently as he lay against her chest.
Anthony groaned, unable to lift his head. "I can't."
"You were literally just about to."
"I don't have anything important on today." He scoffed, "I think I should just go to work with you and we count how many times we can sneak away without Sophie noticing."
"Fine," Kate laughed, "But if she gives you another you and your sex addiction pamphlet I'm on her side."

not your typical saturday - mickey
Tumblr media
pairing - mickey (monday) x fem! reader
synopsis - you didn't plan to spend your saturday in the back of a police car but you can't complain when you happen to share the seat with a rather handsome individual like mickey
warnings - none, just fluff
Tumblr media
You're not quite sure how you ended up in this particular situation, you, handcuffed, and seated in the back of a police issued vehicle.
Well, actually, that's a bit of a lie, you have a vague idea of what exactly led you up to this point.
Might have had to do with you beating the shit out of a fool who thought it would be cool to try and slip something into your drink, followed by the many expletives you directed at the police officers who restrained you and the scratching didn't exactly help your case either.
You blow air out of your mouth in annoyance and squint your eyes against the sun that washes over your face from the window, your wrists starting to itch from the consistency of the rubbing metal.
"μείνε εδώ" 'Stay Here'
You look up curiously at the officers who stop the car, heading towards the beach where you see people milling about in the waves and sand.
Turning your head to face the front you tilt your head back into the seat and sigh heavily just wanting to head home and sleep some of the stress off.
"Alright, sorry. I'm going." An unfamiliar voice enters your proximity and you lift your head as the door to your left is thrown open and another body is sat beside you, familiar handcuffs decorating their wrists.
You face forward once again, not bothering to study the person lest you get caught and you really didn't want to add any more embarrassment to your day.
A beat of silence, passes. And then
"What are you in for?"
You side eye the man who's now facing you and turn, immediately caught off guard by how handsome he looks. Gray blue eyes meet your own, followed by a sharp jawline covered in stubble and a head of gorgeous brown hair.
You swallow and then realize you haven't replied, a fact the stranger doesn't miss, going by the smirk that now adorns his lips.
"Ah, assualt and battery, and of course resisting arrest." You shrug mildly not wanting to replay the events that took place that morning.
"Really? What happened?" His blue eyes widen comically shocked not expecting your response.
"A guy thought it was a good idea to try and spike my drink and obviously i didn't agree." You offer.
"What about you?"
"Oh, well. Apparently nudity is not welcomed on the beach." He tilts his head and your face must look quite comical in that moment as he starts to laugh lightly.
"I'm Mickey, by the way. Nice to meet you." He leans over to offer his hands in a handshake, the cuffs clinking together obnoxiously as he does so.
You grin offering your name and clasping your hands together in his in a firm shake.
You disconnect after a minute and turn to face outside missing the smile on his face as his gaze lingers on your profile.
Tumblr media
"And just sign your name here, and here, and you are free to go." You thank the lady who luckily spoke english, as you sign your name on the sheets in front of you, your pockets feeling a little bit empty but your wrists thankfully free.
Finishing off the last letter of your name, you thank the lady one last time and nod at the officers in apology as you exit the police station.
Your feet ache and your hair is a mess on top of your head and really you just want to relax and forget about the day.
"Hey, wait up!" You pause at the voice and turn, catching mickey who jogs up to meet you on the sidewalk.
You raise an eyebrow in question as he grins widely at you his hair swaying gently in the breeze.
"I uh, figured you might need a ride back to wherever you're going and we could head back together." He nods his head towards the police guard who stands smoking by his car.
You frown your lips in thought looking in the opposite direction where you planned to walk.
"Um, thank you but that's fine. I was just going to walk back." You tell him and watch feeling a bit guilty at the disappointment that lingers in his eyes.
You sigh, shoulders slumping a little as you cave in.
"Alright what did you have in mind?" A blinding smile makes it's way on his face as he winks and gently urges you to follow him.
"Hey, you're heading back in the direction of the beach right?" He smirks slyly at the officer who squints in confusion.
Tumblr media
"Thank you! Sorry for scratching you by the way, it won't happen again." You call out to the police man who just scowls and pulls away, his lights flickering a little. Turns out he happened to be one of the officers that tried to obtain you.
You turn back to Mickey who for some unknown reason had decided to wait as you grabbed your things from your friend's house.
"Fuck." You mutter as you pat your pockets down, realizing your copy of her key wasn't in your pockets.
Thinking for a bit you study the height of the fence surrounding her house and with a determined frown you step back some and take a leap at the fence, using the momentum to swing yourself over onto the other side.
"What! What are you doing?" Mickey questions in concern as he gapes through the fence at you.
"Getting inside, what's it look like." You sass at him as you open the gate for him to follow through.
"Are you trying to get arrested again?"
"Relax, i do this all the time. Besides, the neighbors know me. Hi, Miss Hera!" You wave at the neighbor who happens to be watering her plants as usual. She grins back, waving and then winking when she catches sight of the man at your side.
Luckily your friend has once again left the front door unlocked and you thank the heavens as you slip inside, Mickey once again shadowing you.
"Hey, thank you for you know, uh making my Saturday less shitty." You tell Mickey who raises an eyebrow a small smirk making it's way to your face.
"Glad to be of service." He winks and you both fall into a tense silence.
"Right well, uh, I gotta shower so-"
"I'd offer to help you out but I have a feeling you'd beat the shit out of me, so I'll just go."
You laugh as he stumbles towards your front door, pausing with his hand on the knob.
"By the way, I'm DJing at the beach tonight if you want to stop by." With another smile he's gone and you find yourself wanting to follow after him.
Today was not a typical Saturday and you had a feeling it most likely had to do with the blue eyes you planned to become more familiar with.

dawn addiction.
— minors don't interact.
— wc: 3,3K
content + warnings: 18+, including: car sex, oral (female receiving), fingering, public sex (kinda of), unprotected sex, tummy bulge, pet names (dabi actually calls the reader "princess"), virginity loss (only mentioned), i bit of fluff bye
pairings: no quirk!dabi x fem!reader
— song: Press Your Number; by TAEMIN
After waking up alone one dark night without you sleeping next to him in the spacious bed placed in the middle of his room, Dabi catches himself thinking about you and feeling strange without having your warm body next to his in the bed. Thinking about Y/N was becoming a vicious habit for him and it was the kind of addiction that the more he fed, the more it seemed to swallow his sanity. However, he didn't blame you for not wanting to be seen or related to him, in a small town like the two of you Touya was the delinquent that people avoided interacting with lest they be excluded from that closed society.
He stretches to the side in order to get his own phone from the small table placed on the side of his bed and finds himself standing there for a few seconds feeling the smell of your body that permeated the pillow next to him. After taking a deep inhale, Dabi unlocks his cell phone to try to call you, but there is no answer, after all, it was past 1:00 AM in the dawn and Y/N was now probably lying in her own bed in her house trying to sleep.
The dark haired man lets out an impatient grunt before dropping the cell phone on the bed. He was deeply rooted in you and, because of that, feeling like an insane madman who was insisting on something that couldn't be his. But what could he do but fall in love with you after kissing your lips countless times and spreading your legs dangerously wide for him before claiming your virginity as his?
And the end of that night, just like all the others where you would finish fucking and you would shamefully put on your clothes to go home, would be filled by him masturbating with the thought of your naked body running through his mind.
Touya could feel the warm temperature of yours with little mental effort with his own fingers and would cling to the fading memories of the few non-sexual moments you had shared over the past few months.
That night, Dabi slept when the sun was already up, but Y/N, on the other hand, didn't even sleep a wink. She couldn't even take a lousy nap, because her eyes were glued to her cell phone screen waiting to see if he would call her again because on the first call of the night she wasn't brave enough to answer knowing that her parents were half a wall away. A coward? Yes, that's what she was. But there was a perfect daughter demeanor that she needed to maintain, especially if she wanted to continue to nurture her father's idea of letting her start studying at a university in the metropolitan area of the country.
Y/N would turn twenty a week from today — and if her father's promise to give you a car came true, her plan was already halfway done — and she didn't want to be stuck in that small, rural town forever. She had big dreams, and, ironically, in most of them the fulminating image of Dabi was present beside her. What if she was the only one there who wanted to leave that life? What if he didn't want to leave with her? But more importantly, at what point had their relationship become so deep?
It was now 7 o'clock in the morning, which meant that in about two hours your parents would wake up to go to work. You took a deep breath and reached out to grab the cell phone lying next to you on the bed, and then began to type a message as brief and vague as possible to your lover:
"Pack up all your stuff by next Friday. Take everything that you think is important or of value to you, pack it up, and meet me on the other side of the bridge that leads to the avenue out of town, the side that has the rusty 'Welcome to our town' sign. At two o'clock in the morning. No delays. And please try not to draw too much attention, wear the most decent, neutral clothes you have in your closet. Oh, and bring documents."
And all week long you could barely look your parents in the face without feeling guilty for wanting to break free from their protective arms, but you just couldn't take it anymore. You hated that small town, and you also hated being forced to go to church every Thursday and Sunday with your mother because she said that God would "bless you with all your dreams come true," so why didn't he just indirectly help you leave that town behind? Literally, the only thing holding you back in that town was Touya and you wanted to take him with you outside the boundaries of that town that looked more like a village forgotten by the rest of the world.
Y/N's favorite place to be was Dabi's lips, and even then, the girl's replies to him by messages and short calls that didn't last more than 5 minutes started to decrease drastically. The useless monologues continue to increase inside her mind. Until the Thursday before her birthday when Y/N was about to fall asleep after standing for almost 2 hours listening to the local church mass hoping that her mother would not notice her slouching and irritable posture, suddenly a sound of something banging against her bedroom window was heard. And initially she didn't bother to get up to find out what had caused the noise, until she heard it twice more and frowned as she got out of bed after seeing that it was almost two o'clock in the dawn.
You drew the curtains in front of the window, opened it and stuck your head out, looking down and suddenly feeling your cheeks heat up violently. And there was Touya looking at you with a look of sorrow and animosity. He pointed in the direction of the hidden backyard behind your house where the two of you in the beginning of your relationship used to hide just to spend some time together or have a make-out session that ended up leaving both of you sexually frustrated because neither of you had the courage to have sex in that place where anyone could see you if you made too much noise. However, Dabi was the devil in your life worth sinning for.
— What the fuck are you doing here? — Y/N asked almost desperately as she felt Touya wrap one of his arms around her waist to glue their bodies together.
— What? Can't a man miss his beloved and want to go see her? — He asked, holding her face with his free hand. — You barely answer my messages.
— I told you we were going to meet tomorrow, on Friday. — You rested your hands on his chest to move away just enough to look him in the face.
— And about that, you're killing me with curiosity, princess. What are you thinking of doing tomorrow? It's your birthday. — Dabi commented, running his thumb along her bottom lip affectionately.
— I-I know. — You replied, looking away. — I was planning on... going out... with you. — You just didn't say it was going to be an out-of-town trip with no intention of coming back.
— What are you hiding? — He asked, leaning down to place a simple, tender kiss on her lips.
— Would you follow me wherever I went?
— I would follow you to the ends of hell if you asked me to. — Dabi answered, and instinctively you grabbed his face to place your lips back on theirs in a kiss deeper than the one before in a frenzy of feeling.
— Then do it. — Y/N whispered against his lips staring into his beautiful turquoise eyes. — For my birthday the only thing I ask from you is to always be by my side, I don't need material gifts.
Seconds after you finished speaking, the sound of footsteps inside your house could be heard, and a shiver ran down your back as your hands desperately pushed Dabi away in the direction of the very door through which the two of you had entered the yard.
— Damn, not even at dawn I... — Touya began to complain as he walked briskly away from you and disappeared into the darkness of the night to return to his house.
— Shhh, shut up. I'll see you at dawn. Two o'clock, don't forget. — You whispered loud enough for him to hear you as you turned back and faced the back door of your house slowly opening to reveal to you the sleepy figure of your father.
— Honey? — He asked, and you gasped as if you were distracted by something while you could hear your heart beating rapidly. — What are you doing out here? It's late? and cold, you might catch cold.
— I... — Y/N looked around just to make sure there was no more sign of Dabi. — I heard a noise here when I went down to get some water and just wanted to come down and see if it wasn't an animal or something. But it was nothing, I guess it was just my mind playing with me. — It was a good enough lie considering that it wasn't hard to wake up during the night to go to the bathroom or eat something from the fridge.
And then your father called you inside and you promptly went. As the day went on, not even your father's birthday present with the car seemed to quell the anxiety inside you of going to see Dabi in the middle of the night with no intention of coming home. Y/N packed three backpacks and after watching your parents go to sleep, put them all on the back seats of the car after grabbing the keys that your father had left on top of the coffee table in the living room, and also grabbing some money from your father's safe that was in a secluded room in the residence.
After writing a short, albeit long, letter explaining to her mother that she was going to the metropolitan city — but without saying with whom — to try a new life there and that you would be fine because "there were friends waiting for you there" — which was a big lie, but she didn't need to know that — Y/N put on a sweatshirt and ran out of her now former home. Remembering all the various driving lessons her mother had made her take last year, you put the key in the ignition and made sure that your license and other documents were in one of the pockets of the three backpacks on the back seats. And you set off across town to reach the end of the bridge that served as both a gateway into and out of the city, parking exactly beside the welcome sign.
After about fifteen minutes, you watched a silhouette approach through the darkness, and if you didn't recognize the blue-toned sweatshirt with white details that Dabi usually wore when he didn't want to attract attention, you would surely lock yourself inside your car for fear that it was some sexual predator. Before he could finish approaching you at the agreed upon spot and open his mouth to vocalize something, you ran toward him to jump into his arms and kiss him fervently like you hadn't done in almost two weeks. He didn't fight your grip and responded to your display of affection instantly, he missed your touch more than he would admit.
— Where are we going? — He asked, analyzing her new car as he watched you open the back seat door and gestured for him to put his own belongings inside.
— To the big city. — You answered unlocking the door next to the driver's seat after hearing Dabi choke on his own saliva looking at you as if he hadn't heard you correctly. — Come in. — Your head swiveled inward.
— What do you mean we're going to the city? What about your parents? You have a loving family here, I have nothing to lose, but you? — Dabi put one hand on her shoulder and squeezed it gently.
— I want to go to the city. I want to live with you. — Y/N replied feeling her cheeks heat up and looking at him expectantly. — You said you would go anywhere with me, to the ends of hell.
— And I will, but this decision... — You interrupted him.
— Please. For once in my life I want to do things my way. Without having to hide you from anyone, without having anyone judge me for being with you. Let's go to another city, live together, we'll figure it out when we get there. — You put one hand on his forearm, squeezing it gently.
Touya took a few seconds to process the information and after looking from you to the car, he said:
— Where are the keys? — You waved them in front of him, flashing an amused smile. — So get in the car, doll face. I'll drive. — He gave you a light slap on the butt before pushing you toward the driver's seat, getting into the car and putting the key in the ignition. — How long until we reach the city?
— About six hours, we can get there in the morning.
— Great. — Dabi started the car and began to drive along the deserted road while resting one hand on Y/N’s covered thigh and occasionally giving the area a gentle squeeze.
After about an hour of driving, you became distracted by fiddling with your cell phone until you noticed his long fingers sneaking up and over your thighs until they came dangerously close to Dabi's real intended destination. Her eyes cast a serious countenance at him as if she were silently saying: "Don't you dare" and in response his lips parted in a defiant smile as his hand on the steering wheel slowed and eventually brought the car to a full stop.
— C'mon. It's been almost two weeks since we had sex. — He said, lowering the two seats you were sitting on and pulling you to sit on his lap with your back against the steering wheel.
— And the best place you could find to have sex was inside my new car? — Despite your complaint, you didn't try to restrain his hands from reaching into your sweatshirt to grab and squeeze your breasts, nor did you object to the feeling of his knee pressing against the middle of your legs.
Touya lifts your arms and pulls up your sweatshirt and then concentrates on removing the simple tank top and lacy bra you were wearing, shortly after which he leans over your body to take one of your nipples between his lips to begin stimulating it. In response, you rub your hips against his leg as your hands grip his dark hair as a way to relieve the growing tension settling through your body. His hands slowly slid down your back, past your waist and into your pants, while his right hand also invaded your panties to run his fingers over your pussy lips and his left was busy opening the buttons of that garment.
Y/N put her hands on the hem of his sweatshirt, pulled it up, and was not surprised to see him with nothing underneath. Strangely enough, his skin was naturally too warm and it was not hard to believe that even with the low temperature outside the car he would only need a casual sweatshirt to not feel cold. And that was exactly why you liked so much to run your hands along his body exploring him calmly to make your touches last longer.
Dabi turned his body so that you were lying on the passenger seat and stood over you with a smug smile as his hands dug in and squeezed the skin of your legs after he finished getting rid of your pants with some difficulty because of the tight space.
— Keep your legs open for me or I won't let you cum, princess. — He whispered, sliding his mouth down her torso to her pelvis and pulling her hips up as high as possible before burying his fingers inside her pussy and enveloping her clit with his lips.
Y/N's hands gripped Touya's now messy hair and pushed his face against her hip in search of more of that mind-blowing pleasure she had missed for the few days she had been avoiding him. Suddenly the car became extremely hot, almost to the point where you both felt suffocated and ironically neither of you cared about that, not when Dabi was curving his fingers and sucking your clit in the way that always made your vision cloud and too loud moans escape your mouth. But, you didn't want to cum in his mouth, so your hands moved his face away from your hips and pulled his body up.
— Please, Touya, I need you inside me. — Her voice was slurred by her rapid breathing.
Dabi didn't need you to say anything else, he just stepped back briefly to get rid of the clothes that were still covering his lower body, adjusted your hips to his, leaned on the car door behind your body and guided his cock to the entrance of your pussy. As you felt him fill and enlarge you completely with his tip rubbing against your cervix, you groaned, leaning on his shoulders to face him and watching the small rise against your belly that was always present when that black haired man penetrated you.
Touya slid one hand down your neck and closed his fingers around your neck applying just the right amount of pressure to make waves of pleasure run through your body and not to hurt you. He began to move and Y/N passed her legs around his waist moving her body downward every time Dabi moved upward, occasionally he would take her lips on his just because he liked to feel her moans against his mouth and the rhythm of his hips gradually began to get harder and faster.
— I should cum inside you, hmm? — Touya asked, keeping eye contact with you every moment he thrust inside you again and making you clench your walls around his length without you even realizing it. — Damn, I love you so much, you have no idea what I would do for you.
— So show me. — You grabbed the wrist of his hand that was still resting on your neck and squeezed it without too much force. — Make me your girl.
With a smug and satisfied smile, he continued thrusting himself against her insides to the point where her hips began to ache just seconds before she reached her own orgasm with her nails digging into the skin of Touya's arm and her back arching as spasms coursed through her entire body at a high rate of speed. He gave a few thrusts against your pussy until the white streaks of cum painted your insides and slowly pulled out of you, wanting to prolong the feeling of having you squeeze him some more.
Dabi let his tired body fall back against the driver's seat and concentrated on stabilizing his breathing while you did the same as you looked up at him with the following thought running through your mind: "This is definitely the man I want to be with forever". The thought made your cheeks burn and it didn't go unnoticed by him:
— What? — One of his eyebrows arched.
— Nothing, I was just thinking... about you, about us. — You answered, starting to look around the car for your clothes, and an amused laugh came from Touya's mouth, who looked at you tenderly.
— So I'm always on your mind?
— More than you think, yes. — Y/N answered, leaning over to place a tender kiss at the corner of his lips. — Now get ready, get your clothes, let's get back on the road.
— Can we fuck again before we get to the city again? — Her eyes narrowed in disapproval.
— Shut up, you idiot.

TAE
‘Tae.’
‘Y/n?’ He pulled the phone away from his ear and looked at the time, ‘it’s 3am babe.’
‘... I'm sorry for waking you. Sorry. Go back to sleep, it's okay.’
‘Hey, no, no, I'm awake.’ Sitting up, he switched the phone to his other hand and rubbed at his eyes, ‘What's going on.’
‘It’s not important, I swear,’ he could hear her trying to mask her shakiness over the phone. ‘You can go back to sleep.’
He wouldn’t call her out on lying. He knew better than anyone when y/n was in a bad way. Once he asked her, specifically him, what was wrong, she would crumble and he wasn’t there to catch her right now. ‘Y/n. Come on, talk to me.’
‘I can't sleep.’
‘Yeah, no shit,’ he yawned back.
‘I'm so sorry for waking you.’ He could hear the trepidation in her voice.
‘You know better than to apologize for something like that, ‘ he chastised. ‘Babe, tell me about it. Was it a bad dream? Something keeping you up?’
----------
Y/N
You could hear shuffling over the phone as you searched for an answer. It was hard to put certain emotions into words. You only knew you needed to phone Tae, regretting it too late, when he actually answered. ‘I'm not sure,’ you started awkwardly, ‘I guess. I just don't know where I'm going.’
‘Do you plan on leaving me anytime soon?’ Already pulling your leg, he got you to roll your eyes.
‘No, of course not. I just mean, like, metaphorically.’
Things were a bit...confusing right now.
It had been a long time since you last had to deal with emotions this strong. The voices, getting harder to ignore. You had enough outside negativity to deal with, like family and some friends, all having this certain expectation from you.
It was new for you to rebel, to be who you wanted to be and feel how you wanted to feel without consequences. Choosing a life you solely strived toward, negating the tiny voice in your head saying you were wasting time and you were running out of time and you were not enough.
‘I don't know what I want to do, Tae!’ You burst out, the build up too long, the burden too heavy. ‘I don't have plans. I have a great job, I do. But I don't want to be a PA for the rest of my life and I don't know where to start, where to look, how to choose what I want to do.
I don’t have it figured out, it hasn’t fallen onto my lap, and when I look, I feel like I’m going to waste even more time looking.’
‘Y/n, you know you have a lot more figured out than you give yourself credit for.’ The huskiness of his sleep-leaden voice, comforted you. ‘You have money, a routine stable job, you've worked you way through university and graduated with honors.’ Taehyung did it without effort and he knew you would hear his gruff tone above all others, in a crowd, in a panic, as a voice of reason.
‘I know, and I keep trying to remind myself of that, but it’s just become unbearable. I am running out of time.’ Struggling to remain composed you spoke into the phone as if he was right here, ‘What if I'm still here in ten years, Tae? What if I don't ever figure out my purpose? What if I'm meant to just work and then die? I haven't lived! I haven’t seen the world. I’ve made everyone proud and now I’m the black sheep. I prefer it, It's just-,’
The sound of keys jangling cut you off.
‘Tae,’ you asked tentatively, confusion evident.
‘Hmm.’
‘What are you doing?’ You asked when he provided no further explanation.
‘Are you in pj's right now?’
‘Uh,’ you looked down at your white vest and underwear, just to make sure, ‘yeah, why?’
‘Miss y/n, I didn't know you slept in the nude.’
The protests left you immediately at his teasing, slithering heat under your skin at the very notion. ‘Tae! I am not sleeping in the nude, I have underwear on.’
‘Uh huh, what color are they?’ Your cheeks flamed in embarrassment. You could imagine his smirk, that dumb cocky, arrogant smirk.
He laughed, the sound gruff, infuriating you more, and causing you to giggle back. Because you were the butt of the joke, and you liked his laugh too much. Trying to be mad at him, even when play-fighting or harmless bantering, Taehyung, not a chance.
‘Listen,’ a seriousness settling between you, ‘get dressed, just sweatpants, and a shirt.’
‘Wait, what, why,’
‘Baby, listen for once. Just get dressed and give me five minutes.’
You looked at the blank screen, stunned. Your brain stuck at the word baby, and the effect it had. Your insides were mush, anxiety mollified, despite not knowing what he was about to do next.
‘Babe’, you knew, ‘babe’, you understood, that was normal, routine, best friend. But Baby?
You mulled over it as you discarded your vest, and threw on a loose Celine shirt. Pulling on your black sweats, a pair of socks and air force ones because who knows what this boy was up to, you stopped. You sniffed, once, twice, yep, that was Taehyung’s body wash, but what - oh, you tugged the loose collar toward your nose, yep, this was Tae’s shirt.
You composed yourself, almost deadpan at the small realization. When had he even stripped in your room and why weren’t you there.
Wrapping your messy hair into a bun, you restrained your mind from wandering further.
Your phone beeped from the bed and the screen lit up, a message popping up. ‘Look out your window.’
Peeping out you saw his black Jeep in your driveway. He popped his head out of the driver’s side window and did a two finger salute.
Shaking your head with a smile, you grabbed your phone and made your way downstairs through the house and out the front door.
‘What are you doing here,’ you asked as soon as he came into view. He looked good, white tee, black sweatpants, you matched, except for his leather jacket and red bandana.
He opened the passenger door on your side and leaned back, giving you a once over. His lips twitched as he rested his eyes on the shirt you wore. If you didn’t know any better, you’d think he wanted you in his shirt. You raised your eyebrow playfully, refusing to give life to something like butterflies and heart-eyes when your best friend stood in front of you. Life was complicated enough.
‘You needed me to show up.’ He said it a matter-of-factly, but you knew he wanted to be there for you and you couldn’t, not feel grateful, and a little warm, that he would get into his car drive to you, all because you needed him to.
Not waiting for you to reply, he threw a jersey at you. ‘Its cold,’ his tone left no room for protest and he cocked his head toward the jeep, a sign to get in.
You wrapped it around you silently, not moving, not yet.
‘Well,’ his thumb curled around the top of the steering wheel as the rest of his fingers straightened out, his freehand rising to follow his question, ’Come on, get in.’
‘Where are we going?’ You would have gotten in, you would probably end up wherever he was going to take you anyway, but where was the fun in doing everything obediently. Even puppies had wild streaks.
He raised his eyebrow this time, a smirk teasing his cheek, 'You're brave every night, y/n. But not tonight, not while you're with me, come, trust me, wherever we go I'll keep you safe.'
You turned to close and lock the front door, breathing out slowly, as slow and low as you could, doing your best to work on the constriction around your heart; his words too wiry, too strong, too genuine to forget, too deep to ignore. It made you so... agreeable.
Getting into the Jeep, you felt different as you sat here now, in a seat you had been in too many times to count. It was probably the time and the circumstances. Yeah, some shifts were just because of the time, and the air and because it was silent and the dead of night.
You said nothing more, even though a few minutes earlier you spoke into the phone like you would explode if you couldn’t get the words out fast enough, you would be alone in your head, if you weren’t able to make him understand.
You jumped slightly, as you felt his hand close over yours, and pull it toward him to brush his lips along your knuckles. It was an absent action, maybe, because he stared straight ahead, didn’t spare a glance at you as you stared at the side of his head, making it look like he wasn’t even aware he was doing what he was doing.
Swallowing against the pounding of your heart, you chalked this up too. Night time was vulnerable, everyone was just a little more sensitive, you didn’t have to make it more than it needed to be.
Looking out the window you noted the lights and dark windows, empty parks and streets, doing your best to ignore the heat against your hand, the breath against your knuckles, lips not very far away, that were capable of a lot more.
With some effort, you faded out the intensity of his actions, and as your eyes adjusted you saw familiar figures, and buildings you had driven past numerous times. You knew where you were going.
He pulled up in the parking lot of his safe haven. In retrospect, your safe place should be entirely different, but you were safe with Tae, that said, his peace was where you found yours.
Jumping out of the Jeep, you noted how dark and looming the two story building looked. A huge sign reading 'Blindspot' the only posh part about this place, black metal roller doors, spray painted names across the walls, some of the neon colors standing luminescent against the moonless night.
One would think it was graffiti, but the community knew better, the ones that came and went, some that stopped and never left, knew having your name on the wall was a privilege.
He jumped out too, after grabbing something from the back. Carrying it toward you, you noted his knapsack, and a box of some sort.
Handing it over to you to hold, you took hold of them silently, as he pulled out the keys to open the locks and deadbolt.
You watched him, his actions purposeful but he was at home, knowing which way the locks turned, the catch on the bolt needing to be kicked out a certain way before opening fully; he'd done this a thousand times before.
Lifting up the shutters, the noise too loud for the silent night, he opened the door and guided you in, making you all too aware of his palm in the small of your back. Taking the stuff from your hand and throwing it onto the edge of the ring and he lifted up to close the shutters behind you.
You took notice of the extra shirt that falls out of the pile on the ring, one of your favorites of his actually, grey with black spots, sort of like a giant cookies and cream oreo mix.
The empty gym in front of you was a contrast to the busy days it had. There was a weight section, the bags lined up against the far wall hanging still, having no impact thrown at it to sway the dead weight, and the machines had their own floor upstairs, treadmills overlooking the balustrades to the floor below, by the ring where you stood.
The pool area, directly below you, in the basements where the changing rooms and showers could be found.
It looked small on the outside, but inside there were stories to be told, motivation, encouragement, brotherhood, friendships solidified in stone and a fair share of violent memories with broken bones, broken bonds and broken hearts.
Walls were packed with quotes, anatomy teachings and pictures, schedules, a dedicated to growing trophy case with medals and newspaper clippings, and pictures of staff, members, and the boss, with his best friend.
What Tae didn't continue, was the stereotype of the grunge masculine look that came with gyms. Outside may be black as night, but inside there was color everywhere - a world within.
The punching bags were each a different shade, green, red, yellow and blue. The ring bottom was black, neon orange ropes running along the sides in three consecutive lines, and your personal favorite, a giant pride flag hung on a hook outside his office door.
Toxic masculinity wasn't allowed in Taehyung's gym. You could be yourself, make your own lifestyle choices and still be a good fighter or just work-out. He took it upon himself to punch the teeth out of anyone that thought otherwise. This was what he'd always wanted to do and he made it more than just a place to get healthy.
There were four hours, two for the morning, two for the afternoon, catered only to women. Tae understood that men will be men, no matter how much you tried to change it. And comfort mattered.
Working out and exercising, as much as it seemed, like a chore, it could be enjoyable. It could be a social setting, helping people to open up, and cope, providing the best way for them to be themselves.
You helped him find a premises, helped him choose color schemes, and sat in on interviews. For legal purposes you were an advisor and owned a small share percentage. You didn't want it, but Tae insisted, you were especially grateful when the gym grew into more than you both had expected it to become.
'Y/n,' he waved his hand in front of your face, the action snapping you out of your thoughts.
'Huh, sorry, did you say something?'
He smiled comfortingly, 'Take the jacket off and your shoes.'
Scrunching your eyebrows, you finally asked, 'Tae, what are we doing here?'
'We are,' he started explaining as he ripped open a box in his hand, 'doing something I feel you need.'
Looking at you pointedly, he motioned his eyes to the jacket.
Shucking it off, you took off your shoes and redid your bun for good measure.
'It's strange isn't it,' you voiced out loud. He perked up at your food for thought, fingers fiddling with white tape. 'It's strange, that I know every corner of this place, but I haven't ever put a pair of gloves on.'
He raised his hand absently, a student raising his hand to give an answer, his gaze focused on yours as he did. 'That's because you've never had the need to, I'm here to protect you.'
Turning away, you caught yourself, before you let your heart show in your eyes. You've known Tae for so long, been his best friend for years, why now, why this feeling, this tightness in your chest.
You played it off, and walked over to him, socked feet padding against the wooden floor boards.
Taehyung clicking his tongue startled you out of your effort to feel normal; you found him staring at your socks.
'Y/n, I've told the guys this numerous times, you can't spar in the boxing section with socks. It's a slipping hazard.' No trace of the out of the blue romantic words, he bent down easily removing them from your feet one after the other.
It would be weird, if you weren't already so used to his skinship, his cuddling when he slept over, his hand straying over your shoulder on the couch, or brushing against your waist when he passed you. Yet, his thumb, on your ankle, his hand as he circled and held it, even for just the moment that he laid your foot down after taking off the sock, you felt… taken.
You wanted to snort, the wording completely off, I mean, he had a right over you, always had but-
He came into focus, looking up at you from where he sat, and asked lightly,' Do you wash these.'
Your mouth dropped open, as you watched him hold your purple socks in between two fingers, like it would bite him, or the smell would.
Your knee nudged at the side of his face playfully as you reached to pull him up. He took your socks, holding them properly now and put them in his bag, picking up the white tape he was fidgeting with earlier.
'So, will I be sparring with you today?' You were excited now. You had watched people vent and let themselves be free as they learned technique, let themselves be violent without consequences, the satisfaction on their faces after their sessions.
When he finally reaches you again he finds the catch and opens it out. White athletic tape, used to make arms and wrists stiffer, and to provide better grip, even with sweat and slick.
'No, not today. Let's focus on getting you worked up and tired. If you enjoy it, I'll gladly let you go toe to toe with me.' His eyes held a challenge, an underlying meaning evident.
Offering your hands up freely, he taped your wrists and fingers, you've seen him do it many times, just never on your wrists. Experimentally you shook out your fingers and bent and scrunched your wrist to allow for the right amount of tightness.
'Cocky, aren't you, Mr. Kim,' you side-eyed him.
He leaned into you, his breath teasing yours, 'I am the Coach here, y/n.' You blinked at the nervous fluttering in your chest, his intimidation, usually not directed so closely to you, doing something you couldn't explain, couldn't quite grasp.
Somehow, you should be scared, but it was, hot.
Leaning into him, breath for breath, you matched up, 'Then teach me.'
A slow smile broke out over his lips, playful Tae was back, it let you navigate things easier, you knew what to expect.
'So, I'm boxing the bag,' you deduced. 'I don't see why I need to tire myself out. I don't know how to do this.'
His palms closed over your cheeks, puffing your face up, emphasizing your pout. 'You are frustrated. You can't do anything about any of your emotions tomorrow, y/n. You have to be patient. You have to remind yourself it's a day at a time that gets you to your future. It will always be about patience.'
'Unfortunately, patience is overrated at something to 4am,’ you complained as he let go of your face and bent down to produce a new set of gloves from under the ring. Opening the zip of the bag, he pushed one toward you.
Shaking his head at your antics, not even phased, he strapped the gloves to both your hands and walked toward a bag. 'Come on, try it.'
'Color?'
'The yellow one.' He made to stand behind the bag you chose, and held either side of it, knees bent slightly in a defensive stance.
Feeling slightly out of place, and awkward, you huffed and punched the bag just to humor him.
You stared at it. The fucking thing didn't even move.
He burst out laughing at the comical look on your face.
'Okay, wait no,' he composed himself and came around you. His breath fanned your neck, giving you goosebumps, as he held your wrists and showed you how to punch. 'So straighten your elbow, like this, and pull it back in and see how the gloves are shaped, your forefingers curl above your thumb, so inside your glove your thumb shouldn't be in the fist.'
Nodding as you took in the new information, you did your best not to get distracted as he continued, all too comfortable in his element.
'When your wrist hits the bag don't curl it, let it face the impact head on. See, this is how you do it, so you don't break your wrist.' He made you punch the bag and showed you where your wrist was bending and how to keep it tight.
'Alright, baby,' that word, that goddamn word, 'you good to try again?'
Closing your eyes and swallowing hard, you nodded in answer and shook your head out of the Tae trance.
'Start with a simple combo this time, Jab, Jab, Uppercut, Hook.' You knew the names and their directions. Jab was straight forward, twice fast on the submissive hand as a set-up, the uppercut from downward into the abdomen or chin, depending, and the hook, from the dominant hand rounding off on the face.
'Think of it all y/n,' he encouraged, as he walked to his original position, 'the people, the words, the expectations, the beating up of yourself you do on a daily basis, and just go for it.'
Spreading your legs in a stance, aiming at the bag on his command, you clenched your fists and focused.
'Go'
----
'And breathe.'
Breathing heavily you fell flat to the floor, and stared up at the ceiling.
Sweat was in your eyes and your hair, but despite being in dire need of a shower, you felt oddly at ease. Tiny zings of exertion shot through your body as your lungs begged for air and you heard your blood rushing.
The roof was really pretty you thought, the wood positioned in long blocks to form and hold up the gable, grabbing your attention for the first time ever.
You blinked as Tae's face came into view, his hands resting on his knees.
He smirked cutely as he brushed your sweat slicked hair out of your eyes and off your face before reaching down to pick you up off the floor.
Handing you a water bottle, you let him manhandle you as he lifted your form to sit on the edge of the ring, launching himself up to sit next to, a second later.
'How do you feel?' He was proud of himself no doubt, after all, his plan did succeed.
You made a face at him, anyway.
'Hey,' he put both his hands up in mock surrender. 'It worked, didn't it.'
You cut him some slack, this time. 'Yeah, I feel icky, but definitely less worked up.'

TAE
Taking a swig of the water you had opened in your hand, he looks at the top of your head as he closes it and puts it away.
'Hey.'
She looks up at him, eyes hooded in exhaustion.
He smiles at her. Despite how much he loved her spitfire, she's adorable when she's not talking back.
He knew of the thoughts that crawled up her spine on a daily basis. He knew she had no plan, and it made her hyper that she didn't have one, but she couldn't make one because, what if she chose wrong.
He wanted to take care of her. He wanted to tell her that she could be whatever she wanted to be, and he would fly her across the ocean if she really wanted it; that she didn't need to worry about life so much because he would always take care of her.
'You're too sad.'
She scrunched her eyebrows at him.
'You have the whole weight of the world on your shoulders and you can't do anything about it.' He chose his next words carefully. 'I wish you could take a breather, and let a thought be a thought instead of picking it apart.'
He held up his hand to her when she made to protest.
'You know, things may not feel okay right now, with work, or at home, and in your head. But I've never seen someone adapt like you have. You bounce back, despite how much grit it takes.'
He took the gloves off her hand and carefully unwinded the tape on her fingers.
'I don't have answers y/n. But I do know you have me for a long time and I'm going to be here as you do your thing.'
Placing pressure on each finger he massaged the tightness out of it and flexed it for her.
'I don't know where you're supposed to go, if you were meant to leave and give me a round-the-world heartbreak, I'm not sure who you're supposed to be, I don't even know if you have a higher purpose, it wouldn't surprise me if you did, but you, y/n,' he heaved a sigh as he faced her, his gaze meeting hers, his next words the most important thing she'd need to remember,' you're a good you.'
As he met her eyes, her breath hitched. He heard it. He could see the flush in her face. He knew he was being honest. He knew he meant every word.
A half smile, a heavy acceptance, hands that were so easy to hold, eyes that were never anything but honest, a bond that all but forced a person to keep swimming. That was Taehyung to y/n. And that was y/n to Taehyung.
'You're a really, good you,' he reinforced. 'Right now, it works. I have a feeling it will work for a very long time.'
'I'm scared.' He could hear it in her voice. He heard it back when she was in her room too.
'Nothing is really set in stone, babe. And even though it does feel like you're running out of time, it's something you can't help. It's not what you want to hear but it's true.'
'How do I stop being sad?'
She was deflecting. But he had said it before, it wouldn't be gone tomorrow. Her anxiety and her fears, they will probably never go away.
She had the right way to go about it though. You get through it. Somehow. Some days it's a good cry, some days it's with a punching bag, and some days, it was with a best friend.
'See, now that's why you have me.' He answered confidently, as he put his chest out, his need to have her be okay, her smile, her laugh, his only intentions, his favorite thing these days.
'Oh really, you, why, because you're a clown.'
He feigned offense at the statement. 'Excuse me, I am not a clown, ask anyone that comes in for the 5am rush.'
She looked up at the clock in shock, it was really going half-four. She turned back to him sadly, 'I kept you up all night.'
'It was a fun night,' he replied, the teasing of many other ways to keep him up on the tip of this tongue, deciding against it, he looked away from her. 'You needed me, no amount of sleep is worth that.'
He didn't explain himself, he really didn't mind the lack of sleep. He could easily catch a nap in his office, or head home after half a day. But this, this moment with his best friend, that he wanted to be more, he knew he wouldn't choose to be anywhere else. He knew he'd do it over again too.
Pushing off the ring he grabbed the knapsack and handed her his shirt. 'Change out of that shirt, and use this one, you'll catch a cold, because of the sweat. And let's get you home, you need a hot shower, and sleep. I'll drop by for dinner after work too.'
Finally turning to her, he found she hadn't moved an inch, unshed tears in her eyes. Before he knew what he was doing, he pulled her toward him, sweat and all, and held her in his arms. 'You're first y/n, you'll always be first.'
A tender kiss on her head, his words rendering her speechless, and he knew uncharted waters were on the horizon.
This night, things that he'd said, the ways in which she responded, it was going to shift things for them.
But silence was comfortable for them. And she drank his share of coffee while he ate her share of pineapple, because he couldn't stand coffee and she hated pineapple. And he could hold her in his arms and she'd use his shirt while they slept.
It would start small, but he'd show her, the future was bright, she was deserving of more than she understood, she would be protected from her family and expectations and she would learn to remember, purpose or no purpose she wasn't alone, she never would be again.

The Lesser of Two Evils
Jimmy Conway x Paulie's Daughter Reader
Just felt like writing for Jimmy... Also bc I like @yesbelladoesstuff 's man more than my own apparently 😂😝
TW: mentions of crime, mention of age gap, implied smut
Word Count: 3k
Tumblr media
After four long years full of hard work and missing your family, college was finally over! You hadn't gone far for college, and you visited as possible, but the work load of college doesn't always allow for that. For Paulie, it was important that you get a degree, even if you didn't have a "real" job after college; he just knew you were too smart, and you knew it would make him so proud that his little girl finished college.
You moved home on a Thursday after finals and took Friday to just spend time with your dad and the rest of your immediate family, before the rest of your "family" came over for the big party on Saturday. This included Tommy, Henry, and Jimmy and all the various "uncles" your dad did business with. It was a closed circle of people.
You had been home for holidays and summers in between semesters, but towards the end of college, you really started to realize that you weren't in the loop like you used to be. Tommy had really grown into a well-respected mobster, and you respected that they may make him within the next few years. He was still hot headed as ever though. As for Henry, it seemed like he tried to hold off as long as he could, as he had always had a huge crush on you, and everyone, including Paulie, had placed bets on when you two would get together. But he had started going out with this girl named Karen. You had only met her a few times, but you had heard that she kept Henry on the straight and narrow. Good for her.
Jimmy hadn't had too much change in his life during your years at college, except that he had too younger mobsters to help him on his various jobs. He made a lot more money because of them! You never thought when you went to college that you would find yourself missing Jimmy as much as you did; of course, you had always been close with him just like you were with Tommy and Henry, but there was just something about him. He was always very cool, and his jokes were few and far between but hilarious when he told them. He had always been protective over you in a way the other two weren't, you guessed because he was older, but he also let you get away with stuff your dad would've had a heart attack over. Hell, Jimmy encouraged bad behavior.
And that's where you found yourself early Saturday afternoon: fighting off thoughts of Jimmy, and a little nervous to see him because of it.
The table is all set, covered in a black table cloth, with gold and silver decorations everywhere to celebrate your graduation. A few dishes full of your favorite foods are set out, and more will arrive as the family does.
As the family pours in, the table fills with dishes and becomes surrounded by people you've known practically your whole life. You are handed envelopes full of cash, each one thicker than the last. That's how you did presents in this business.
You wondered where the boys were... It's unusual that they didn't show up first.
After a while, Henry arrives with Karen and they greet you with the usual hugs and kisses on the cheek; you can tell Karen is still getting used to greeting people like this. "Glad you have you home, (Y/N)! Congrats!" Henry exclaims. Rather than money, they gift you with a beautiful set of jewelry. You knew Karen was good for Henry, and now you know she has good taste.
"Oooh, there she is!" Jimmy yells as he's coming in the door. Tommy and Jimmy show up right after Henry and Karen. They were likely all hanging out before coming over, but you had to wonder why they didn't just take the same car. Tommy hands you a stack of cash, like he was taught to do, giving you kisses on your cheeks and a sincere congrats for graduating. Before you can really finish up your conversation with Tommy, Jimmy is scooping you up into his arms and twirling you around playfully, earning a squeal from you. "Atta girl! We knew you could do it!" He lets you down gently and pulls you in for a proper hug. "Congratulations, (Y/N). You know everyone here is so proud of you."
As you move back into the dining room and living room to rejoin the party and visit with everyone, Jimmy's hand lingers on you: your shoulder blades, the small of your back, wrapped lightly around your hip. He had always been a bit handsy with you; it's just how you two were with one another, but today it's affecting you more than usual.
Jimmy is wrapped up in a conversation about something he's been bootlegging with one of the uncles, so you turn to him to say, "Hey Jimmy, in gonna go sit with my dad at the table, 'cause I think we're eating soon. I'll save you a seat next to me, if you want it."
"Okay, sweetie, I'll be there in a little while."
You walk away taking a deep breath to try and clear your mind. Had you always felt this way about Jimmy or had something changed?
You say next to your dad and leaned your head on his shoulder.
"Hey there, girlie! You enjoying the party? Everything okay?"
"Yeah I'm okay. It's good seeing everyone again, and knowing that I get to stay home for good this time."
Paulie puts his arms around you, squeezing you tight. He always gave the best hugs! "I'm so happy you're back home. It's been pretty lonely without my girl here... Now I'm gonna have to beat off guys with a stick to keep you here," he lets out a chuckle.
"Oh, Dad, I'm not going anywhere, and you know that. Besides, Henry went and got a girlfriend, so there goes my only shot at a boyfriend."
"Now, you know Henry wasn't your only option. What about Tommy?"
You both look across the room to see Tommy flirting with someone's daughter...
"Ehhh, no," you and your dad say in unison before having a big laugh together.
"Is this seat taken?"
You look over your shoulder to see Jimmy standing behind the chair next to you, "Reserved for you."
"Oh, good!" Jimmy takes a moment to say hello to Paulie before sitting down next to you.
Paulie stands up to announce that it's time to eat, but first he makes a small speech to let everyone know how proud he is of you for finishing college, and that you were always too bright and talented to belong to him.
While Paulie is standing at the head of the table, Jimmy reaches over to your lap under the table and takes your hand in his. You look at him, trying to hide that he's affected you in any way. He gives you a small smirk, and rubs his thumb over yours for just a moment before letting your hand go.
Paulie takes his seat, and people start spooning food out of dishes and into their plates, and you're left wondering what just happened and what was meant by it.
Luckily, the rest of dinner was pretty uneventful, and the food was always so tasty. After everyone got their bellies full, everyone mingled wherever they liked around the house. Some went into the backyard to get a small bonfire going so some of the kids could have roasted marshmallows; some of the guys started inside the house and started pulling out cards and chips and stacks of money; many of the wives gather in the kitchen or the living room to talk all the latest gossip.
You notice Tommy, Jimmy, Henry, and Karen taking lowly and giggling with one another in a small circle. Normally they would've invited you over, so there's definitely something suspicious going on.
"(Y/N)!" Paulie says, waving you over, "come here, kiddo."
"Dad, I just finished college; I'm not really a kid anymore!" You give him a laugh and walk over to him.
He puts an arm over your shoulders and says, "Well, you'll always be my kid." He pauses for a moment before looking across the room and yelling, "Conway!"
The room quiets down, waiting for Jimmy's response. All of the guys and Karen turn to you and your dad. "Yes, Paulie?" Jimmy says with a smug look on his face.
"When you came in here, I didn't see you give my little girl any presents for her graduation. No cash, no cute little boxes with bows. What's the matter with you?" Paulie voice is raised so everyone can hear him. This is very odd behavior, as he normally handles things pretty quietly, so you know something is up.
"Well, ya see, Paulie..." Jimmy starts walking towards you, "I didn't hand her any envelope full of 50s, and I didn't give her any boxes with bows, because what I got for her was too big to fit through the front door." Jimmy lowers his voice to a whisper now that he's in front of you. "You wanna go see your present?"
You now realize that your dad and the guys are all in on some kind of surprise.
"Yes, please."
That's all Jimmy needs to hear before he's picking you up to take you outside. Henry and Tommy rush to the door to open it, and everyone that heard what was going on follows you outside to see what the surprise is.
You and Jimmy can't stop giggling while there are lots of hoots and hollers from everyone gathering outside with you. Jimmy lets you down and spins you around so you're facing the driveway. Sitting there is a beautiful black muscle car with a big gold bow on the hood.
He wraps his arms around your waist and whispers in your ear, "You like it, princess?"
"I- uh... yes," you can barely get a response out; you certainly weren't expecting this. Jimmy was all about handing out money and giving expensive gifts, but nothing like this... He didn't like to do anything that would put this kind of attention on him.
"It's the one you said you wanted right?"
"Yes, Jimmy. It's perfect," you say with a huge smile as you turn to hug him. "Thank you so much!"
"Anything for you, (Y/N)." Jimmy pulls a key out of his pocket and hands it to you. You take it from him and run over to unlock the car and climb in. Immediately, Tommy climbs in the front seat next you you and is shouting, "C'mon! Let's take this thing on a spin!!" Henry and Karen climb in the back seat and Henry only starts egging you on saying, "Let's crank this thing up and get outta here, (Y/N)!"
"Okay, okay! We'll drive it, but only if Jimmy comes too. He paid for the thing after all!"
"Jimmy! Get your ass over here!" Tommy yells before climbing in the back seat with Henry and Karen.
Jimmy runs over and gets in the passenger seat next you you. "Try not to kill us, okay?"
You turn the key in the ignition and the engine fires up loudly, which gets Henry and Tommy rowdy in the back seat. All the people in the front yard were raising their glasses and cheering as you backed out of the driveway! Before driving away from the house, you slowed down and Jimmy rolled down his window so Paulie could pop his head in.
"You guys be careful, and don't let anything happen to that one right there," he says pointing to you.
"Hell, Paulie, she's the one you gotta worry about!" Henry pipes up getting a laugh out of everyone.
"Yeah, well..." he chuckles, knowing it's true and realizing his little girl is all grown up. "Happy graduation, baby; go have fun!"
"Thank you, Dad! Love you!" you yell before driving off, a little too fast.
• • •
After you, the guys, and Karen, whom you had really grown to like, had been driving around a while, you decide to stop off at a small park while the sun sets. It's a cute little public park with a lake, a pavilion with tables for picnics, a small playground for kids (naturally the boys go and play on the playground), and lots of open space with soft grass.
With the boys being boys running around chasing each other, you and Karen get some time to talk alone.
"Seems like you've got Henry tied down pretty well. Takes a tough lady to do that."
"Yeah, well he stood me up on our second date, and so I told him off in front of his friends. We been together since."
"Oh yeah, word got back to me on that one. You had all the guys pretty shocked," you say though a laugh, "They made fun of him a good bit for it, so he must like you a lot if he put up with that."
"Yeah, I think he does." She pauses for a minute. "I've heard from some people that Henry always had a crush on you, and that everyone thought you two would end up together. I'm sorry if I got in the way of that."
"Oh, no! No need to apologize. Henry liked me when we were kids, and it feels like more of a joke now than anything. I don't think I could deal with him as well as you do," you give her a reassuring smile.
"So, you gonna give Jimmy a shot?"
"Hmm? What? You mean Jimmy and me?" You stutter out.
"Yeah, I mean, I know he's older, but it seems like he really likes you!"
"You think Jimmy likes me?"
"Well, yeah girl! He bought you ya dream car!" She says excitedly, her New York accent really shining through.
"Karen!" Henry calls from the playground.
"Whaddayou want?!"
"Come over here, honey!"
You see Jimmy walking towards you and Karen, and notice that Tommy is flirting with some poor girl who was just out for a run. Karen says a quick goodbye to you and heads over to the playground where Henry is waiting for you.
When Jimmy's feet stop in front of yours, he extends a hand to you to help you up from your spot on the grass. He places his hand on the small of your back, and his long fingers delicately begin to lead you in the direction of your new car.
"Did you have a fun time playing with your friends on the playground?" You poke a little fun at him.
"Would've had more fun if you were there," he raises his eyebrows and cracks a smile at you.
You laugh gently out your nose as you arrive at your car, "Whatcha bring me over here for?"
He takes you by the hips, lifting you up and placing you on the trunk of your car. He grabs your thighs and pulls you close to him, your knees brushing against either of his hips. "You like the car, angel?"
"Jimmy, wha-," you let out a shaky breath, "um, yes, it's beautiful."
"Mmmm, good." He brushes your hair behind your ear.
It suddenly becomes clear to you that what Karen had to say about Jimmy was true. In fact, with him standing between your legs like this, it couldn't be more obvious.
"Hey, Jimmy?"
"Yeah, baby doll?"
"Kiss me."
He raises his eyebrows, then looks at the ground for a moment. When he looks back up at you, he tangles a hand in your hair and presses his lips to yours softly at first, but he quickly deepens the kiss, exploring your mouth with his. You gently wrap one arm around his neck, and the other hand squeezes his waist through his shirt. He pulls you into him so your chest is pressed against his.
It feels weird kissing him, but it also feels right. Being with him like this feels like electricity, and you could feel like this forever and it still wouldn't be enough.
"Hey, hey, Jimmy!" Henry calls as him and Karen come up on you.
"Do not interrupt them!" You hear Karen say followed by a whap to Henry's arm.
Jimmy slowly pulls away from you, giving you probably the sweetest look you've ever seen him give. He pecks your lips a few more times before turning to Karen. "Thank you for hitting him."
You slide off the back of the car, putting your hand in Jimmy's.
"Listen, all I'm saying is, it's about time you got a kiss from her, you paid a lot of money for it!" Henry chuckles, slapping the trunk of your car.
"Listen, Henry Hill. I kiss who I want, when I want. And yes, I am grateful for the car, but Jimmy didn't buy my love," you cut your eyes at him.
"Yeah, that's right! What's the matter with you?" Karen backs you up.
Henry puts his hands up in surrender and tries to wipe the shit-eating grin off his face, "Alright, alright, geez!! Can someone go get Tommy so we can go home?"
Everyone gives him a look.
"Okay, fine! I'll go get him!" Henry jogs off to go get Tommy off that girl's back.
Funny enough, the girl ends up coming home with the group, Tommy landing another girl that he won't call in the morning. So you drop everyone off at their respective homes: Tommy and his girl at Tommy's place, Henry and Karen at Henry's place, and Jimmy invited you to his place. You knew Paulie would worry about you not coming home, but it would raise his blood pressure if he knew what you and Jimmy were up to.
It was really the lesser of two evils.

Just as you were about to say something else to Mikasa, the doorbell rang, interrupting the moment. She let go of your hair and stood at her full height.
"Are you expecting anyone?" She asked.
"No, we're not." With confusion evident on your face, you got off the stool and lightly kicked it under the counter.
Your eyebrows knitted together as you made your way to the front door.
On the other side of the glass, you saw a blond bearded man struggling to hold around five suitcases. He noticed you reaching for the door handle and grinned widely.
"Surprise!" He shouted and dropped his luggage on the marble floor when the door was fully opened. He raised his arms and tried to hug you. Scowling, you evaded his embrace.
"Zeke, what the hell are you doing here?" Your grip on the door tightened with every word.
Zeke frowned. "Do I need a reason to visit my sister?"
You rolled your eyes. "I'm not your sister. And typically, yes, you would."
"Okay, well, you're like my sister." He paused to adjust his glasses. "Have you forgotten? Eren's twenty-second is coming up. There's so much to do!" His excited facade was transparent to you.
"You didn't care about his twenty-first. Or his twentieth, for that matter. What's the sudden interest in your brother's life?" You raised an eyebrow as he visibly grew nervous.
"Well, you see, uh-" He twiddled his thumbs and your eyes narrowed. "Here's the thing-"
"Spit it out, Zeke." Mikasa cut him off when she rounded the corner. She crossed her arms as she leaned against the staircase railing.
"Mikasa! I didn't know you were back!" Zeke made rapid hand gestures toward her, eager to change the subject.
"I didn't know you were back, either. At least I gave a warning," she uttered, earning an incredulous look from the blond.
"Zeke, why are you here?" you continued.
His eyes briefly shifted to a houseplant before training back on you. "What if I told you I'm not allowed in the state of Nebraska?" He gave you a meek smile and your jaw dropped.
Mikasa snorted. "What the hell did you do in Nebraska?"
"Nothing!" he assured. "It's just that I may or may not be several million dollars in debt and on the run from the police." He looked down at his muddy boots in shame.
"You're WHAT?" You gaped at him. You'd known Zeke long enough to have it figured out that he brought trouble wherever he went but he was usually careful enough not to get banned from a state.
"It's not as bad as you think! I just got into a little quarrel with some guys. Everything is fine. Just let me stay here for a while," he said sheepishly.
"I am not letting a fugitive stay in my home!" you exclaimed.
"I'm not a fugitive! There's no need to use terms like that!"
"You're banned from Nebraska! I'll call you whatever I want!"
"What's all the commotion about?" Eren was walking down the stairs when he saw his older brother at the door. His mouth dropped open and he gripped the railing beside him. "Zeke?!"
"Why didn't you tell me your brother was in town?" You glared up at him.
"Because I didn't know!" He started to flail his arms around while simultaneously trying to make sense of the situation.
"Hey, little brother. Can I sleep in your room?"
"No!"
"Zeke's not allowed in Nebraska," Mikasa informed.
"What?!" Eren clutched the railing with one hand and his head with the other whilst continuing his descent down the stairs. "What even is Nebraska?" he mumbled with wide eyes.
"Doesn't matter. I wanna know how he managed to be banned from it." You glowered at the man in front of you.
"Y/n, will you please let me inside? It's cold even in March, you know." Zeke pleaded and pretended to shiver.
You glanced back at Eren for a sign of his approval. The house was yours, but Zeke was his brother. It wasn't like this was the first time he needed to stay over, anyway. Unlike mere seconds before, he now held a serious expression. He nodded at you and beckoned for Zeke to follow him.
He heaved a relieved sigh and nearly tackled you with a hug. "Thank you so much, Y/n! You won't regret this, I promise."
It felt like your bones were being crushed by his weight as your face was pushed up against his jacket. He reeked of an old car. "Okay, get off me, old man!" Your voice was muffled as you tried to push him away. He backed up and brushed your shoulders off before grabbing his luggage and disappeared into the basement with his younger brother.
You sighed heavily and plopped down on the stairs. "He got mud all over my floors. I just cleaned them too." Your head fell into your hands as you stressed over Zeke's sudden arrival. As if there wasn't enough on your plate already.
Mikasa laughed quietly as she draped an arm around your shoulders and sat down beside you. The sudden contact made your ears burn red. "Any particular reason for cleaning?" she hinted teasingly.
You lifted your head as you apprehensively stammered out a poor explanation.
She laughed at you again and you couldn't help but wonder if it's always been that easy to make her laugh. You thought about it for a moment and concluded to yourself that it didn't matter what made her laugh, as long as you got to hear it.
A dreamy smile spread across your face as you watched how her newly short hair fell in front of her eyes when she laughed like that.
It seemed she noticed your thoughtful gaze because she tucked the hair behind her ear and peered down at you. "What are you looking at?" she whispered.
"You."
The sound of footsteps resounded from the stairs behind you. "Woah, I hope I'm not interrupting anything," Jean smirked when he saw how close you and Mikasa were. He parted the two of you by removing Mikasa's arm so he could walk in between.
Your face grew red when you realized what you had said to her and it grew even redder when you noticed Mikasa had a similar amount of color dusting her cheeks.
"Heads up, I'm going to Marco's right now so if anyone asks that's where I'll be." He corrected the slight wrinkles in his new shirt and grabbed his keys from the key-hook.
Mikasa was quick to add to his words. "It's nice to see you and Marco are still going strong. I'm happy for you, Jean, really." She smiled up at him honestly.
Jean's tinted cheeks gave away his embarrassment. "Oh, thanks. Uh, I'm also really happy for, um, whatever you guys have going on." He grinned but quickly covered his mouth when he saw a look of distress flash across your face. "Uh, sorry, I have to go now. See you guys later." He mumbled another apology and turned sharply on his heel to make a mad dash at the front door.
Mikasa chuckled and shook her head. "He can be such a dork sometimes," she said when the door closed behind him.
"That's true," you admitted softly. You were a little displeased that she kept her arm in her lap instead of wrapping it around you again now that Jean had vanished.
"I take it Zeke's kept up with his habits since I've been gone?" she assumed.
An exasperated sigh left your lips. "He shows up at least once or twice a year wanting to stay. He always owes somebody money but, as far as I know, this is the first time he's been permanently banned from a state. I don't love letting criminals in my household but you know how Eren gets."
"I see. I do remember how angry he'd get with us when we wanted Zeke to leave," she recalled dejectedly.
"I just wish he wouldn't get his hopes up every time he asks to stay." You frowned and tapped your fingers against the wooden stair you sat on.
"I hope he can stay long enough for Eren's twenty-second. It'd be nice if he could spend his birthday with him."
"That can be arranged." You ran a shaky hand through your hair. "Will you be okay at a party for him?" you inquired timidly. Considering what happened the last time she was at a party, you felt the need to know if she'd be alright with going since Eren's birthday was rapidly approaching.
Mikasa was surprised by the question. "Of course I will be. Y/n, you know I'm over what happened. You don't have to worry about what I think. It's cute you care, though." She squeezed your shoulder gently and gave you a reassuring smile.
Before you could respond, she stood from her position next to you and started up the stairs. "I'm gonna get changed. I'll see you later."
When she was out of your sight, you gave a final weighted sigh. You had to figure out what you were going to do with Zeke. The feelings that came with Mikasa being home already clouded your mind, not to mention the stress of Hitch on your ass as well.
For Eren's sake, Zeke should stay for a little bit. Mikasa suggested he should leave once Eren's birthday passes and that made sense. However, that would mean he'd be living in your house for two weeks.
You groaned and leaned back. There was only one person who would know how to help. You spun around and scrambled up the creaky stairs.
Facing the office door, you opened it and watched Armin move hastily to turn off their monitor.
"What are you doing?" You raised an eyebrow and leaned on the doorframe.
"Important research." He swiveled the chair to face you and rested his arms in his lap.
"Yeah, right," you snickered. "Did you know Zeke is here?"
Armin nodded. "I overheard everything. It's not like you people are quiet."
"Okay, so what should I do about it?" Moving to sit on the couch, you placed your hands on the cushions under you.
They shrugged. "I don't know. What should you do about it?"
"Come on, Armin. I came in here because I need your help with this." You sent him a worried glance.
"Y/n, at the end of the day, this is your house. You decide who stays and who doesn't. If you want him here, let him stay. If you don't, kick him out."
He couldn't just ignore the obvious issue present. "But what about Eren?"
"What about him? Eren respects you more than he respects anyone else. He wouldn't want to do something if you weren't comfortable with it. The guy trusts you with his life." He spoke like the answer was so clear.
You pursed your lips and thought over what they said. "I don't want to hurt him, though."
He wore a compassionate smile. "None of us do, but the difference between us is that he would listen to you.  So, with that said, how long will you let Zeke stay?"
You looked down at your hands and thought back to your conversation with Mikasa and about the conversation you just had with the man across from you. "He can stay until Eren's birthday party. When that's passed, he'll have to leave."
When you looked up, you noticed Armin was still smiling at you. "I knew you'd make a good decision."
"I always do, don't I?" You joked.
He snorted and adjusted his chair to face his computer again. "You wouldn't be able to without me."
You feigned offense and stood up. "You're too cruel."
"Sure I am. Now leave my office, peasant. I'm busy." He waved you away with a dramatic flair of his hand.
You scoffed. "I bet you don't have actual work to do and you're just being a freak on the internet, like usual."
He flipped you off. "If you don't leave I'll have to use brute force."
"Whatever, whatever, Armeen, don't be harsh." You sauntered out of the office before he could scold you about the nickname.

My Damsel in Distress
"Alex"
Task Force 141 - Disbanded
On a plane off to somewhere
General Shepherd.
The name sent Alex's blood boiling from rage. He couldn't believe that a high ranking official would actually betray them and could still run away from it.
It's no secret that he wanted 141 out of the Nero scene. But why? He knew full well that Samantha doesn't have access over the address but he still took her? And he also knew that this little team won't walk away without her safe. Alex wondered what's running inside the snow-caterpillar-stache's little brain. He couldn't even say his name now.
He clenched his fists, feeling the thick leather gloves he wore for battle. It was a devastating day for him. They just bonded for a few moments here and there and now she’s already taken away from him. He couldn’t keep count how many times it happened. It was frustrating.
“So, which safehouse are you bringing us today?” Alex joked with his former CO. Jack looked serious as always, he never gets these kinds of humor.
“Same one in Brazil. It’s the most forgotten and spacious. No one’s going to come looking for us in South America.” Jack replied, looking worriedly at Alex.
“I know when you’re preoccupied Alex. What happened afterward?” Jack turned to him and Alex knew he had to open up. He deserved the truth anyway.
“I uh… I fell for her, Jack. I know I told you that I won’t but it just hit me.”
“Like a fucking brick…” Jack interrupted and chuckled.
“All I can say is that you’ve done a better job than I did when I fell in love. I could still see your determination towards your work. Or maybe because she’s still involved in all of this.” he added, causing Alex to relax his tensed shoulders.
“It’s good to have you back, old man.” Alex shook his hand and smiled. With all the problems around him, it was good to have someone close to him to talk to. He was glad Nero didn't kill him back in the Gulag.
“Yeah. Me too, and it looks like you’ve got yourselves a determined bunch. Especially that guy.” he noted, pointing to Soap who was sitting with France. Alex remembered how the two of them met at the Gulag and in that short span of time Jack was able to read the whole guy’s personality.
“Soap? Yeah, he’s an achiever. Heard he’s top of every obstacle course back at the base.” Alex mused, looking at the two. They were sitting together quietly but Alex felt jealous. He could've been doing that with Samantha right now. Now that she's ready to hear the truth about them.
"Yeah. He's got some fight in him. I'm sure we'll defeat Nero even with this little band right here. And I'll do my best to be of assistance to you." he patted Alex's shoulder and went back to check on Nikolai.
~
Safehouse 110197, Brazil
Alex remembered that this place was compromised, but then again that was the CIA mole's henchmen that found them here and they're no longer affiliated with Nero. Or he picked this place because no one would think of going back here after being compromised. The Reverse Psychology card. Either way, Alex didn't mind.
As the team slowly scattered around the house and prepared everything, Alex took note of some changes since his last visit. More beds were added and supplies got restocked. Even the bullet cache looked reloaded.
The team loaded off everything they salvaged, or stole, from the 141 and set it all up. Ghost prioritized the tech stuff while the women fixed the bedrooms. Alex offered help but was denied by Gary saying "Your face still hurts so don't over exert yourself, we can do this on our own."
So Alex plopped by the central couch as Ghost untangle the wires, putting them on their respective slots.
"You holding up okay?" The masked man asked as soon as Alex released a deep sigh.
"I'm worried about Samantha." he replied, resting his hands on the back of his head.
"She doesn't have the address, what does Shepherd want from her?" Alex added, his tone raised like a kid complaining.
"I have no idea. But I do have something else. Information on the surprise attack at the 141." Ghost said, as Jack and Price moved toward them and discussed the contents of Augustus' phone.
"That bastard gave away our location." Price cursed.
"So his plan to disband us would be successful." Alex added and Ghost nodded.
"Why get Samantha though? He knows we'll be coming for him." Ghost added and the rest of them speculated their theories.
"Augustus failed to get her so Shepherd did it for him? For what?" Jack noted, reviewing their whole mission for reference.
"Something bigger, I presume." Price spat and everyone fell silent. The rest of the team except for Gary and Maxine gathered for a short briefing. Everyone gave away their take as to why, some of them made sense while some reasons don't add up. And thinking about it was only making them more frustrated.
Everyone looked serious until they inhaled the fresh aroma of dinner from the kitchen. Alex turned and saw Gary and Maxine, smiling while serving up the team's dinner. He could sense something him and Samantha once shared in this place and it looked like the Safe house did it's charm once again.
"Now that's bloody good cookin'" Price announced and everyone laughed. He wasn't the kind of person to say those kinds of things, but he did, and it was all they needed to ease the tension of not knowing what's next.
They never gathered like this before, together, happy and noisy. The two oldies sat on the opposite edges of the round table while Soap, France, Gary and Maxine sat beside each other on the left. Simon and Alex sat on the other side, an empty chair resided beside them.
"Don't worry lad, we'll rescue her." Price muttered and Jack nodded. Alex smiled as they started to eat some food.
"Hold on a minute!" Soap exclaimed causing everyone to halt.
"Thank you Lord for thy blessings which we are about to receive. Amen." he muttered while everyone looked at him.
"Amen!" they all said in unison and wolfed down Gary and Maxine's delicious meal.
"This tastes so good! Just like Mom used to make!" Francine chewed happily. Maxine stared at her supposed to be sister and smiled.
"It does?" she breathed.
"Mmhmm.. I was always jealous that you two were so close together in the kitchen, everything I touch turns to a culinary mess." she frowned and made everyone else laugh. Soap stared at her in amazement.
"You and me both, France." Jack agreed. The gang bonded throughout dinner and enjoyed the company. Alex volunteered on the dishes and France offered to help.
"You think she's going to be fine?" Maxine asked as she checked the contents of the fridge, looking at Alex who looked very focused on the dishes he's cleaning.
"She's been kidnapped a lot of times now. I think she's used to it." Alex attempted to joke, but the tone of his voice was far from kidding.
"Aye, That lassie's a tough one. Don't worry Alex. We'll get her, Shepherd's bound to make a mistake anytime soon." Soap commented from behind him while leaning on the kitchen island.
"I told you I can handle assisting Alex on my own!" France giggled as she wiped the plates dry.
"Aye! I know! Can't a man just enjoy some time with his girlfriend?" he raised his hand mocking surrender. France turned back and crossed her arms.
"Ahem. Girl space Friend. There's a space in between." she scolded and MacTavish just chuckled.
"Whatever you say, Babe." he joked once again as he stepped out of the kitchen.
"Ugh. That guy's so full of himself." France groaned. Alex and Maxine exchanged glances and laughed, causing the female soldier to worry.
"What?" she asked.
"You two look cute together." Maxine chuckled, closed the fridge and walked away.
"We're not together!" France yelled, making sure Maxine would hear it wherever she went.
"We will be soon!" Soap exclaimed from outside, followed by collective laughter from the group of men with him.
~
Alex groaned and looked at his watch. It's already 3:36 am and he couldn't sleep. He slowly got up and looked around. On the huge bed, Jack and Price slept peacefully as evidenced by the loud snoring. Beside him on the floor was Soap, Roach and an empty spot where Ghost was supposed to sleep. The girls occupied the guest room.
Alex slowly got up and carefully assisted his metal leg, trying not to make noise as he waltzed to the balcony where he suspected Ghost to be.
And he was right, Ghost sat by the railings on the terrace, not a single expression of fear etched on his face. A face Alex saw for the first time.
"Can't sleep?" the former CIA asked. Ghost slowly turned his head and nodded.
"I'm just contemplating…" he muttered, the tone of his voice sound defeated.
"We caught ourselves in a crazy situation, huh?" Alex chuckled trying to make the best of the situation. Ghost didn't seem to like the vote of happiness as he clicked his tongue and sighed.
"I'm into France… but it looked like she's happier with John." he spat. From what Alex heard from Roach, Ghost was not the kind of person to open up. And this was all too surprising for him.
"I… uh…" Alex stammered.
"Look, I'm also sorry… You don't have to reply… I was about to vent to Gary about this but he seemed too preoccupied with Maxine and I didn't want to bother him."
"Look, it's okay. Ghost."
"It's Simon, Simon Riley."
"It's okay Simon. That's life. You win some, you lose some." he consoled. He tried to make it as positive as possible but he was also down in the dumps, like him.
"Thanks for the honesty. I just realized how devastated you must be. I never got to hear your story until Gary told me. It must've been tough losing her over and over again." Gary talked without looking at him.
"It's like I've been cursed to lose her and save her all over again." Alex complained.
"Like Link." Simon announced like it's a great metaphor which Alex didn't get.
"Link?"
"Like from the video game. Where this knight was always out to save her damsel in distress. It's got many different variations but it's always the same name. Generations have passed and Link was always destined to save Zelda." he said in amusement.
"My damsel in distress…" Alex noted and looked up at the stars, wishing that wherever Samantha may be, he hoped she's safe and also thinking of him.

I wanted to share a portion of the first chapter of Blood and Ink with you all!! Zierra LeFay is my leading lady in this fanfiction with a two-world plotline. Middle Earth and a fantasy style Earth. Hope it draws you in!!!!
Tumblr media
YTD 2019, October 31st
Location: Hillsboro Oregon, USA Bishop/LeFay/Boleyn Coven
"So, what do you think?" Zierra had been facing her over-the-door mirror and swiftly turned to look at Tutela, who had taken her most frequent form as a black cat. Her tail swayed as she meowed approvingly, rubbing herself against Zierra's leg. Her vibrant eyes smiled as she seemed to almost break out into a gentle grin.
"You're totally right. I look gorgeous." Running a finger through her dark curls, Zierra adjusted the waist armor that was snug against her maroon long sleeve tunic. Zierra's black pants were tucked beneath a pair of black leather boots that dawned a hidden pocket inside meant for a small weapon but she used it to hold her cell phone(she was a witch after all… Zierra was a weapon all on her own).
Moving toward her dresser, Zierra grabbed two silver wrist guards, placing them over the sleeves of her tunic before tying the leather strings. She then reached for her satchel, double checking to make sure all the essentials were still inside before readying herself to leave.
To Zierra, Halloween was much more than a chance to dress as her ancestor Morgana LeFay(though she thoroughly enjoyed that part). It was also her birthday and a day when witches, like herself, felt a sudden boost to their magic. For All Hallows Eve was one of the nights where the universe's magic was at its most potent.
Grinning, Zierra motioned for Tutela to follow. "Vamonos, let's get to the coffee shop."
With a nod, Tutela moved toward the open window while Zierra headed for the door of her one bedroom apartment. Grabbing her keys, Zierra watched as Tutela examined the area, making sure no one would see her transformation, before taking the sudden form of a blue jay, flying about and patiently waiting for Zierra to meet her outside. With Tutela outside, Zierra used to magic to close the window and made her way outside
Zierra's apartment was located near the Trimet( Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon) at Orenco Station, an urban neighborhood filled with decades old brick buildings as well as those with wide windows and a modern appeal.
It was within walking distance of her work as an RN at a senior living facility, and an even closer walk to her mother's coffee shop, LeFay Lounge. Orenco Station was by far her favorite neighborhood in the Portland area, and as Zierra stepped outside, she smirked taking it all in. It was a view sje wouçd admire for years to come.
Her eyes fell on Tutela before she began to walk toward LeFay Lounge. The lively street was filled with evening joggers, mom's taking their kids out trick or treating, as well as a young man playing his guitar for money. She threw in a few dollars as she passed while Tutela flew overhead, keeping her flight patterns headed in the same direction as Zierra, without looking as if she were following her.
Taking a right, she could see her mother inside the coffee house just ahead. She was nervously pacing the floor while typing some message in her phone. The sudden ping from inside the pocket of her boot made her realize Ellie, Zierra's mother, had been texting her.
Reaching for her cell, Zierra glanced toward the screen.
I thought you were gonna get here before everyone else?!
Zierra's mother had never been the controlling or worrisome type, always trusting her daughter to do the right thing. More than that, Ellie had an amazing truest gift(every witch can do most spells but every witch also has their own strength known as their truest gift) of foresight and was always one step ahead. She knew when danger was truly imminent and when to roll with the punches. Still, that didn't mean Ellie could foresee every outcome. The future was often unpredictable and depended on the decisions of others(if everything was black and white, Ellie would have been able to protect her husband from his untimely death). Nevertheless, it was because of that special gift that if Ellie was worried, Zierra ought to be as well.
"Ay dios mio." She said, quickening her pace. She gazed toward Tutela, pursing her lips. "We better get in there fast. I'll let you in from the back." Tutela made a loud chirp in reply just as Zierra took a deep breath, hoping it wasn't too serious before reaching the front door.
Inside the shop, lanterns adorned the walls along with quotes written in an Old English font. The floor was made of stone, and the arched ceiling was painted to look like the night's sky. In every way, the coffee house symbolized their great heritage of Medieval Times.
Ellie, who had been facing toward the large fireplace, quickly moved toward her daughter as she entered. "Zierra, we don't have a lot of time." Ellie's voice sounded panicked before she fixed her eyes on the large glass window that showcased her coffee house. She raised her hands as a gold mist began to emit from Ellie's fingers before floating toward the walls of the building, circling it entirely.
The Glamour Spell was used to keep those without magic from ever witnessing or hearing the practice of magic. From outside, LeFay Lounge would appear silent and still, without a soul occupying it, concealing their every action, no matter who arrived for the meeting or what magic they chose to use.
"Mom, what's going on?" Zierra asked worriedly. She hadn't seen her mother this distraught since the night their father died.
Turning to face her daughter, Ellie looked anxious. "Zierra, I've just had an awful vision. It was about you, and it's going to happen soon."
Zierra, seeing the sudden fear in her mother's eyes moved forward. Her mother reached for Zierra's hands before continuing. "In the vision you were standing before a hideous creature with flesh that looked burned. Its' fangs were long and it had stocky legs. It wanted to kill you. It wanted to eat your flesh." Ellie's breath seemed to hitch as a tear fell across her cheek. "You used your magic to defeat it but then as many as fifty came toward you, with some riding on the backs of unnaturally large dogs." Ellie shook her head as her eyes closed for a moment, carefully remembering every detail. "I- I thought at first they were werewolves but their structure wasn't quite the same. Not to mention wherever you were did not look familiar at all."
Zierra could hardly keep up. She pinched the bridge of her nose trying to comprehend her mother's words. "Mama, calmete." She placed her hands on her mother's shoulders. "What are you talking about? What creature? Werewolves? I thought they were extinct?"
Ellie drew in a breath, feeling frantic. "No, I'm saying I thought it was a werewolf." She waved her hand as if to move on. "That's not what's important Zierra, I'm trying to tell you something bad is going to happen, and whatever those things were, I have never seen in all my studies of magic."
Zierra bit her lip. This was supposed to be a typical meeting between three joined covens. Those that were direct descendents of Bridget Bishop, Anne Boleyn, and Morgana LeFay. She thought she'd get to celebrate her birthday as well as Analise Bishop's(they'd both been born on All Hallow's Eve and as such their magic was a great deal stronger than even those on the councill). She thought the two of them would finally be initiated into the councill, as it was typical on a witch's twenty fifth birthday. Instead, she began to fear for her own life.
"Have you told the council your vision? What did they say?" She asked, hoping the coven could help. Whatever her mother had seen, she strongly wished to prevent it.
Ellie gripped her daughter's hands, her eyes growing large at Zierra's question. "You can not even mention my vision! We have to figure this out on our own and be ready for anything that might happen tonight."
Zierra was growing more concerned by the second. "Why aren't you going to bring this up to the councill? I thought all visions of foresight had to be shared-"
"Not when I think a bloodwitch is the reason these creatures were created!" Ellie interrupted.
Zierra furrowed her brow. Analise had been the first bloodwitch in centuries. They were uncommonly rare and could use their own blood to spark life to inanimate objects or bring back dead things(though no matter what they brought back to life they were never entirely the same, their bodies needing constant repair). The two girls had never truly gotten along but Zierra wouldn't suspect Analise of wanting to harm her. Analise had always been full of herself but given that they saw each other a few times a year it just didn't make sense. Analise was a beautiful girl with her own damn life in Rio De Janeiro! She had money, power, and popularity and was miles away from Zierra.
"Mom I don't understand-" Before Zierra could continue, a blue flame suddenly formed within the large fireplace to her left before the stone began to expand. Then, stepping beyond what Zierra knew as Doorway Flame, a woman with red hair and pale skin gave them both a warm smile.
"Merry Hallows Eve, Zierra and Ellie." Lisa greeted. "And Happy Birthday, Zierra."
"Merry Hallows Eve." Zierra and Ellie replied in unison.
Lisa's smile began to fade, taking in Ellie's blotched face. She knew she must have been crying. "What's wrong Ellie?"
Ellie composed herself, giving Lisa a wide grin before waving her off. "Oh we were just reminiscing of when Byron was still alive." She lied.
Lisa's head tilted as she gave them both a look of sympathy. "I can imagine how hard it must be to not have him here for a day like Zierra's birthday." Lisa turned to Zierra just as the others began to arrive. "I heard about you finishing your degree. Congratulations on becoming an RN and for snagging such a prestigious job right out of the gate!"
"Thank you." Zierra answered with a smirk. "I did apply on a friday the thirteenth." She admitted, which was açeatd a day of luck for witches and wizards.
Soon each young descendent(future council women when they were of age and maturity) and council members began to arrive, totaling thirty women. There were ofcourse male descendents, but their magic was typically never as strong(an old curse caused by Mordred was responsible) and as such it was always women who led councils across the globe. They greeted each other kindly, taking seats at the many tables in Ellie's shop, with Ellie LeFay, Lisa Boleyn, and Octavia Bishop standing near the fireplace as the head council women.
"Zee!" Zierra spun around when she heard her cousin's voice, who immediately wrapped her arms around Zierra. "Happy birthday, gorgeous!"
Zierra released her cousin with a pleasant grin, momentarily pulled from her troubled thoughts. Her eyes lit up at the sight of Aliyah's costume.
"You look, muy bonita!" She exclaimed, remembering the dress as one of Regina's from their favorite TV show, Once Upon a Time (The pair loved the world's interpretation of magic and all the irony behind its hidden truth)."I think you could give Lana Parilla a run for her money!"
Aliyah slowly spun around to give Zierra a full view nodding as she spoke. "So true, cousin. So true. But it's not just the party that has me looking so spectacular." Aliyah's smile was wide and filled with excitement, she gripped Zierra's forearms biting her lip. "I'm going to ask Ezra to marry me!"
Zierra's mouth fell open. Ezra Leveau's- who was a half witch half Faery- ancestry came from Marie Laveau and his coven held a council with two other families in France. His mother's marriage to Veyro, an ambassador for the Fae kingdom, had also helped solidify a peace treaty between both parties.
Zierra had been so happy to see them together. And though it had only been six months since they started dating, anyone with eyes could see it was meant to be. "Does that mean you're asking him-"
"Tonight? Yes! And at the Festival? Also yes!"
Zierra practically screamed before giving Aliyah another hug. "Yey! I am so happy for you both! Seriously he is perfect for you! And at the festival no less! Which I get to see happen!"
The two girls sat at one of the round tables, still giddy from excitement just as Analise Bishop had taken the last chair. Zierra's smile immediately dropped as fear crossed over her eyes.
"How were your summers girls?" Analise asked quietly, looking down at her black polished fingernails. Her skin was painted green and her dark hair was fastened into a beautiful dutch braid. She glanced at Aliyah first, waiting for a reply.
"Paris was just as romantic as they say." Aliyah answered with a reminiscent grin. Despite how annoying Analise's ego could be, Aliyah had never been rude to her. It wasn't in her kind nature. But as she looked toward her cousin, Aliyah was quick to notice Zierra's sudden apprehension. Her body had stiffened and her eyes were momentarily filled with vigilance and though Zierra had been quick to recover, Aliyah was much too close to her cousin to miss it.
"I got hired at a senior care center. It's great money and I'll always have the same shift, unlike if I took a job at a hospital. It was a gig most wouldn't have fallen into having just finished school but I did apply in a day if luck, so I was bound ti get it, but I plan to stick around."
"Oh yeah, you finished your nursing degree." Analise stated. She glanced Zierra up and down as if she were beneath her. It was the same self righteous expression Analise often carried, but this time her eyes seemed sinister and it only caused Zierra's fear to grow; her mother's strange vision painting gruesome images inside her head as she contemplated whether Analise would ever want to hurt her. What would she gain from doing so? She asked herself, not able to come to a rational conclusion.
"Love the costume by the way, and happy birthday." Analise added, taking Zierra by surprise. Her smile seemed genuine and the darkness she had seen a moment before was gone "Don't I look ravishing in green?" She winked, gesturing to her costume as The Wicked Witch. Maybe I hadn't seen it at all, Zierra considered. But mom seemed really scared.
"Thanks, and happy birthday to you as well.' Zierra's eyes narrowed for a moment. She truly didn't know what to think. The two had never had any bad blood. So why now? Trying to hurt Zierra meant Analise risking her position on the council and giving up even the slightest opportunity at power felt out of character for Analise. Still, her mother's vision kept Zierra on guard. She gave Analise a slight grin before nodding, turning her attention to her mother who was about to speak..........

Blood, Sweat, and Tears - Chapter 5

Haneul's eyelashes fluttered, stirring from her short nap before looking around the bus. The driver was fixated on the road, and there weren't any passengers that had joined in on the ride. Pulling her head away from the window, the brunette stared out toward the lights that illumined each street and the towering buildings.
It seemed she had arrived in Seoul.
She stood up from her seat, rolling her suitcase slowly as she made her way toward the driver, "Ahjussi," she began and the elderly man smiled at her.
"What can I do for you?"
"You can drop me off at the next stop," she replied. "I can walk the rest of the way..."
"Oh... are you sure?" He frowned. "It's dangerous late at night. Why don't you tell me where you are headed and I can drop you off there?"
"Gwenchana," Haneul assured him. "It's not far from here."
"Alright then," he nodded and the next stop closed in. The bus came to a halt and he opened the doors for her, allowing her to step outside. "Be careful, little miss. Wherever you are headed, go there as quickly as you can."
"Goodnight," she bowed, watching the bus driver leave the stop, and Haneul remained on the quiet street. She stood in silence, exhaling before grabbing her suitcase again and rolling it alongside her, walking toward her destination.
The city was dead at night, with no signs of cars or people walking the streets. The violence must have made the citizens fearful, and they didn't dare come outside unless it was in broad daylight.
The brunette was beginning to feel slightly afraid, shivering slightly as the cold air bit away at the skin of her cheeks. She thought if she looked over her shoulder, someone might be following her, or worse. Instead, she walked, eyes planted straight ahead as she made for her destination.
In several minutes, Haneul found the place she was looking for, staring at the sign that would have been glowing brightly hours ago, but given the state of the city right now, it had to be closed until morning.
She dug into the pocket of her black jogging sweats, pulling out the key to The Magic Shop and rolling her suitcase inside. Haneul closed the back door, locking it quickly lest the criminals of Seoul's underworld came following her, and she turned on the heat. The cold, empty storage room was beginning to warm up, and she turned on the lamp on the table, welcoming the comforting silence that surrounded her.
Crouching to the floor, Haneul opened her suitcase and took out a spare blanket, turning her phone off and placing it on the desk as she settled on the couch, pulling the warm cover over her body and laying on her side, curling into a ball and attempting to sleep. She no longer felt terrorized by the sound of gunshots. She couldn't see the puddle of blood as it pooled toward her feet, the comfort and safety of The Magic Shop shielding her from the painful memories of the past few days.

A tall young male with black hair and youthful features pulled up near the curb, the engine of his car going quiet once he pulled the keys out of the ignition. He stepped out of the car and walked toward the back door of The Magic Shop, unlocking the back door and stepping inside, the warmth of the heat gracing his skin when he entered the storage room.
That's odd, the boy thought as he straightened the lapels of his black suit jacket. I could have sworn we turned off the heat last night. He continued to walk deeper into the storage room until he came across the low light of the lamp, a phone on the desk, and curled up on the sofa was Haneul, sleeping soundly with a blanket tucked under her chin.
"Noona!" Soobin knelt before her and shook her gently. "Yah, Noona! Wake up! What are you doing here?!"
Haneul stirred from her slumber, her lashes fluttering and coming into contact with deep brown eyes. She rubbed her bleary eyes and sat up slowly, glancing at the younger male, "Soobin..."
"Why are you sleeping here?" He asked. "You should have called us and let us know you were coming!"
"I..." She began, pulling away from the blanket. "I couldn't stay there... not when..." She swallowed the lump in her throat, fisting her hands as she recalled how unbearable it was to live in that house.
"We were planned on going to Icheon this morning," Soobin explained with a soft grin. "but since you're here, I'll call the others."
She nodded and watched him stand, pulling out his phone to call Namjoon. In the next hour, Soobin opened The Magic Shop to allow the people to find safety from the rest of the city, and in that time, Haneul was able to take a shower, putting on an elegant sleeveless buttoned flower dress after drying off, the skirt cut short on the right side, making it asymmetrical. She got into her heels and did her makeup, knowing full well now that she was here, she would have to work. She placed her essentials back into her suitcase and stepped into the club, listening to the instrumental music which created a sense of solace for the patrons that filed in. She walked toward the bar, standing behind the counter and ready to serve.
Namjoon stepped inside, wearing a navy vest over a ruffled white buttondown and slacks, searching the club until he found the counter, his eyes widening slightly, "Haneul!" He ran toward her as she poured a drink for a young woman, her chocolate brown eyes set on the older male. "You came! We wanted to pay—"
"I did," she interrupted with a frown. "I think... it was best you didn't go to Icheon... you wouldn't want to see me in such a mess..."
"You should have called at least," he scolded her gently.
"I told her the same thing," Soobin crossed his arms and smiled at her before bowing his head. "The least you could do is allow us to pay our respects to Halmeoni... we're sorry about what happened. You have our condolences..."
The brunette gripped an empty glass tightly, staring at the shiny counter while the onset of tears prickled at her waterline. A stray fell, landing onto the counter and Namjoon noticed how tense she was, his brows raised as he leaned over to place a large hand on her small shoulder, "Haneul?"
"I couldn't stay there," she choked, trying her hardest to hold back her sobs, but it was all in vain. "All I could hear was the gunshot! I kept seeing her fall at my feet over and over again! How can I stay there knowing she was killed in our house?!"
The two males stared as she buried her face in her hands, her shoulders quivering as she cried. She didn't want anyone to remember her grandmother at that gruesome moment. She wanted them to remember her when she was most vibrant—when she sang and played the piano, when she fed them her most delicious food... when she helped other people.
Haneul wished more than anything that she took the bullet instead of her Halmeoni. Why would anyone want to hurt them when they lived a quiet life away from all the terror? She didn't know anything anymore, and the world that was once full of sunshine and smiles was now dark, selfish, and full of blood.
︻デ═一 ♥
Sehun opened his eyes, meeting the light of the morning through the small crevice of the dark curtains. He could feel a slight weight on his arm and he recalled the night before after he had killed Seungri. He went into one of the many bars in the red light district to have a drink, and he ended up talking to the woman seated next to him. After a few more drinks, they ended up back in his apartment, and he was able to piece together what happened next.
The woman's black hair pooled onto the pillow and he carefully removed his arm from under her head, checking his phone to find several texts from Suho and then some from Chanyeol. He made a mental note to call them once he dealt with the woman in his bed.
The raven-haired male grabbed his boxers and slacks, slipping into them before he felt the mattress shift. He didn't have to turn around to know the woman was awake. Her arms loomed around his midsection and she pressed several kisses along his shoulder, "Why don't you come back to bed...?" She suggested quietly. It seemed she was hoping they would end up as more than a one night stand.
Sehun moved away from her arms and shook his head, entering the password on his lock screen so he could text Suho, "Just get out," he told her. "Don't expect to see me again..."
"Oppa," she whined slightly, pressing her chin to his shoulder this time, pouting. "...please?"
"I said... get. Out." He spoke, his tone deathly calm.
The woman frowned, pulling away slowly before rolling her eyes with a huff. She mumbled under her breath and grabbed her things, putting on her dress and shoes as she let herself out of the apartment. Sehun was now alone, looking over the replies that came from the older males, instructing him to meet them in Gangnam where G-Dragon would be holding a meeting. He prayed it wouldn't start a war between EXO and BIGBANG and that he would able to understand why they killed Seungri in the first place. BIGBANG was one of the richest crime syndicates in Seoul and anyone who messed with them was known to disappear off the face of the Earth.
After sending a text to confirm he would join them soon, Sehun stood from the bed, heading toward the washroom to take a shower. It seemed to find that old lady's killer would have to wait. He hoped her granddaughter was doing alright and he knew what came once an innocent civilian got caught in the violence. He imagined she must have been scared.
The killer surely made her a target now and he had to figure out why they were his targets in the first place.

Summary: apartment hunting and coming across a perfect place but a somewhat intimidating room-mate.
Pairing: BTS Jimin X fem!reader
Yes I lowkey write for bts.
-
[10:16am]
It wasn't the most comfortable of mornings because the humidity was enough to make you feel claustrophobic, and you didn't even have claustraphobia. It didn't help that you had to be out the whole day in the heat and in formal looking clothes.
You were almost certain that your white button up shirt would be soaked in sweat if it weren't for the inner vest you wore.
"You're doing great sweetie, just three left".
Your cousin brother, who was technically a brother seeing as how you grew up in the same household, Bang Chan ruffled your hair and you thanked him for adding onto your already exhausted appearance.
"What's this guy's name?"
"Mr. Yang Soobin, make sure you don't call him by the wrong name like you did for the last lady".
You hide behind your hair in embarrassment as Chan roars in laughter at having reminded himself.
-
"Chan I freaking love this place", you whisper quietly when the landlord goes to his car to retrieve some documents.
"Me too, your room is big enough for the whole squad".
The landlord was back with the documents and after a brief q&a, you were feeling like this was it. This was the place.
"You are aware that you'll be having a room-mate yes?"
What? No wonder the place was underpriced, the rent was split.
"Well now I am", you smile nervously and Mr.Soobin laughs heartily. You couldn't help but draw comparison to his laugh with that of Santa Clause's.
"He's not a troublesome boy and he's pretty quiet and rarely at home, so you won't really notice his presence either".
He sounded like a nice guy and you were in a hurry to move out, so you figured it was part of the deal. He handed you a pen and you went over the contract, signing and jotting you initials wherever needed.
You were still signing when a gust of wind entered the apartment as you looked up to see the front door opened and a boy with a helmet on blocking your view of the outside. He hadn't noticed your presence yet, taking off his helmet and then his coat. As he shrugged off the sleeves of his coat, he turned momentarily and you saw his face, his eyes meeting yours in an instant and then flickering to the other people in the house.
His confusion weared off when he saw the Mr. Soobin and he nodded his head to Bang Chan first and then you.
"Ah there he is just in time", the landlord exclaimed, breaking the silence and the boy walked over, very gracefully, extending his hand to Chan.
"Hey, Park Jimin, pleasured to be your new roommate", his eyes flickered to yours again briefly and Chan shook his hand but laughed.
"Nice to meet you, but I'm not the one moving in, she is", he moved slightly to the side, exposing you.
Now that he was up close you could see all the details of his face clearly and to say you were impressed was an understatement. The man was extremely sculpted to perfection and you couldn't tell if his grey eyes were lenses or natural but they were stunning. All in all, it wouldn't be too bad to be his roommate, you thought.
"Um, hi I'm y/n".
Your voice was shy and small and you knew Chan would tease the fuck out of you later.
You stuck out your small hand that had now gone cold as it always does when you're nervous and he encased it with his slender fingers.
"Pretty name".
You blushed and heard Chan snicker but you chose to ignore it.
-
"That's all there is to the contract, you're officially living here now, here's the keys", the landlord slid them towards you on the kitchen counter and you took them gladly.
Jimin had headed to his room after his brief introduction and he didn't seem to be an issue so you had made up your mind that this was the apartment for you. Either way you'd have Chan and the others over alot and figured you wouldn't associate with Jimin much.
You took your copies of the contract and the keys and handed it to Chan.
"I need to pee really bad, would you mind waiting in the car for me?"
You asked Chan and he nodded cooperatively.
You make your way to the bathroom and open it to reveal a shirtless Jimin with a loose towel around his waist.
"Oh fu-, I'm so sorry", you blabber out endless apologies and see a small smile making it's way onto his face.
"You can keep apologizing but you can also just close the door y/n".
You were a stuttering mess and apologized for not knocking again, slamming the door shut and instead going across the hall to use the other bathroom.
You washed your hands, still looking like a tomato in the mirror and flushed the toilet. You step out and close the door, turning around only to be trapped back against the door.
Jimin had changed into a pair of red basket-ball shorts, hanging dangerously low on his waist, as long as his towel had been or maybe lower. He had a hand on the door next to your head and his eyes were boring into yours. You noticed that they were now a soft brown and you figured that he was in fact wearing lenses before. His dark eyes didn't fail to make him look good either way.
"I'm sorry to have flustered you but next time, knock, okay?"
You gathered some courage and fired back,
"If we're going to be living together, you might want to consider locking the door, it's there for a reason Park Jimin", not knowing which name he preferred to go by.
You calling him by his full name and the fact that you had started a little argument instead of submissively agreeing, played at Jimin's dominant demeanour.
"Don't start war with me, y/n- I guarantee you, I can be the worst roommate but still look like an angel to the landlord".
"It's not war if I'm fighting a man without a gun".
"Excuse me, are you making references to my dick?"
"What the fuck? No that's not-"
Your argument came to a halt when you started laughing at his misjudgement and though he wanted to fire-back, he found himself smiling sheepishly. You push gently past him, leaving him to stand there scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.
"I'll see you around Park-"
"Oh for god sakes, just call me Jimin, you make me feel old".
"Keep the door open for Monday, Jimin. I'll see you then".
You replied walked to the front door and he followed you,
"Which door?"
You turned around to see him grinning and you reply as you closed the door,
"Definetely not the bathroom one".
-
"Jesus what took you so long?"
Chan was eyeing you suspiciously as if you were Hannah Montana, living the double life.
"Got a little lost".
"In a one story apartment that you got a tour of?"
He grins and makes out the different situations that could've occurred, in his head.
Your silence made it much more of a juicy story and he figured he wouldn't let you live it down.
"How was he?"
He wiggled his eyebrows and you turned to him in shock of his assumptions.
"Fuck's sake, just drive it's not even like that- I'll tell you when we get home".
He laughs at your reaction and accelerates along the free road to get home faster because his curiosity was eating away at him.
"Slow down, it's not that much of a story".
Chan grunted at your failure to make his day interesting and you chuckle at his displeasure while also realizing,
You couldn't wait for Monday.

Demon of the night

Pairing: brian may x vamp reader.
Summary: its fall when Brian's car breaks down in the middle of nowhere leaving him to walk in the cold midnight air lost. But what happens when he runs into a certain someone..or something...
Warnings: none yet hehehehehehe just some high quality neck licking and probably language?...

Tumblr media
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's a cold night in london as brian walks out of the bar he and his band just played at, the cold fall chill making him shiver a bit as he bids his friends goodbye while carrying his beloved red special with him, they all say their goodbyes and head back in for a few drinks, usually brian would join but tonight he just didn't feel up to it, instead he just wanted to get home to his flat and rest. So he sets his guitar gently in the backseat of his car while getting in the drivers side and starting it with little difficulty, the old car has been having some trouble starting up lately, but he didn't think anything of it and just decided to have it looked at when he wasn't so busy with recording and playing.
But he would soon regret it when the old thing finally gives up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You sigh while watching all these people walking around the streets at night, deciding which one should be dinner for the night, everyone here seemed so innocent though and you wasn't a murderer...you mostly ate the bad people...like criminals, murders, shit like that.
But as you stand in the shadows leaning against the building, watching these people you couldn't seem to find anyone, you might as well go to the damn graveyard and eat rats. You groan at the thought but it's your only option so you stand up straight, about to leave until someone catches your eye.
If your heart could beat your pretty sure it would be Beating out of your chest right now, the man you spotted was the definition of perfection and pure beauty, and when you saw him smile and wave at his friends you'd assume, is when you felt the connection you was always promised you would feel one day, I feeling you've been waiting for, for over centuries.
You smile at the man as he walks to his car carrying a guitar, his curls bouncing as he walks, and his smile still on his face. You're thoughts trail off as you think of any possible way you can turn him....because he was most definitely your soulmate you could feel it. You frown though once you notice he left...but lucky for you, you can trick that beautiful little mind of his to go wherever you need him to go...and you can follow him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
" ah shit..." brian mumbles as his car breaks down, he tries turning the key but it doesn't do anything, he sighs and leans his forehead on the stirring wheel, he decides to try and walk to the nearest gas station, but when he looks up he realizes he's in the middle of nowhere...surrounded by trees and the only light there is, is provided by the full moon.
He's beyond confused, last he checked he was on a actual road...but now he's not. He shrugs it off blaming it on the alcohol in his system that roger gave him before their show. He gets out closing the door making an echo through out the dark forest around him. And that's when he see's someone up ahead leaning on a tree.
" hello!." He says slightly loud, while walking toward the person, the closer he gets the more he see's, and that's when he notices it's a beautiful mysterious looking woman, she was paler then any normal human, and had a smirk. He clears his throat and stops walking when he believes He is close enough.
" excuse me ma'am...but my car broke down and I have no idea where I'm at..or how I even got here...but I was wondering if you could kindly point me toward the nearest gas station." He asks, his voice slightly shaking from being nervous, the woman smiles at him showing off her pearly whites...two front teeth sharper then anyone else's he has seen.
" of course I can its about 20miles back the way you came....but that would be an awful long walk for you." She smiles at him, he gulps and runs a hand through his curls.
" that it would be..." he said, he then looks toward the woman once more. " do you live nearby here so I could borrow a phone?." He asks her gently, she grins and motions him to follow her.
" yeah my house is a few minutes from here." She says while walking up the road, brian sighs with relief and follows her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You smile as your plan was coming together so smoothly, especially since your little mind game worked on him bringing him right to your house you've lived in since centuries, you smile as the dark Victorian house comes in view, as you walk in you smile at him and motion him towards the ancient 1800s looking phone. He looks at it with a slightly shocked look.
" I know it's a little out of date but it still works." You tell him, he nods and begins figuring out how it works. But after a while he figures it out and calls someone.
But he frowns as nothing happens, he hangs it up and looks at you.
" I thought you said it worked?." He said, you look at him with fake confusion.
" it does...unless the squirrels chewed the chord again." You say, you sigh and give him a apologetic smile. " I'm sorry I'll fix it in the morning...that is if you want to stay the night?." You add, he runs a hand over his face with a small sigh.
" well I dont want to walk 20miles at 2am so I guess if you would allow it I could." He says, you can hear the stress in his voice making you smile kindly at him.
" I have a guest bedroom upstairs that I'll fix for you...I'm y/n y/l/n by the way." You introduce yourself with the same mysterious smile that has Brian's heart beating faster and faster,
" brian may...lovely to met you miss y/l/n." He smiles, you cant help but to fall even more in love with the tall man. He was just so handsome.
" likewise...why dont you have a seat while I make you some tea." You suggest, he nods and sits down. Playing with the end of his shirt sleeve nervously. He felt very sceptical about you and this place. After a few minutes the tea was done and you brought him the small cup, he smiled gratefully at you as you sit in a love seat in front of him.
" so y/n...what was you doing out this late at night anyway?." He asks you curiously, you smile and cross one of your legs over the other.
" well...I have a tomcat that doesn't really like to stay in one place for to long." You tell him, he nods, " he ran outside and I was afraid he would freeze to death where it's so cold so I was looking for him when I found you." You explained,
" I hope you find him." He says sincerely, you smile and stand up.
" dont worry he'll come back as long as I leave the window over there open." You say, he nods once more. You can tell how nervous he is. He seems scared as well and that's when you sit beside him.
" what's the matter bri...you seem scared?." You ask him quietly, he sighs and looks around at the ancient decor of your house...the living room walls was a deep red while the curtains was black, the floor's a dark brown wood while the lights was basically candles in old candle holders...but you had a chandelier providing more light then the candles...and your clothing choice was odd...you wore a black gown that came to your ankles and had long sleeves and the chest was cut out but it had a turtleneck. And your hair was left down
" I'm fine...just a bit shaken up is all." He reassured you, you nod and stand up.
" well what gotten you all shook up then?." You ask him, he stays quiet And you decide to fix the guest bedroom up for him. " I'll be back shortly I just have to fix that bedroom up." You smile and leave him alone to his wondering thoughts.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Brian stands up and looks at the phone making sure if it started working or not, he didn't want to stay here but the walk was ludacris, he thought you was a nice woman but you seemed so off...like you was hiding things from him he needed to know...he felt unsafe and uncomfortable here. And he had many reasons to, like the fact your house looks like it belongs to the 1800s murderer along with everything inside it...including you. He was scared for some reason.
He picks the phone up ready to call john knowing he would be the one to pick it up at such an hour, but like before it's dead silent on the other end, he curses and slams it down. If only he'd fixed that damn car he wouldn't be in this mess.
As he let's out a string of silent curses he feels as if someone is watching him, chills run through him as he turns around and sees a black cat staring at him with yellow glowing eyes. He jumps a bit as it meows at him with a rather deep meow. Even the cat seemed creepy
" there you are maximus I've been looking everywhere for you!." You say cheerfully, brian looks to the window seeing it's still closed, confusion takes over his features as he looks to the cat. If this was the cat you was looking for then is it in here?.
" I thought you said it ran outside?." He asks confused. Speaking his mind while lookingat the cat." And the windows are shut so how'd he get in?." He adds with wide eyes. The sound of your light giggle fills the silence of the house as you take the cat into your arms.
" he got in through the upstairs window...I always leave mine open at night...I sleep better when cold." You tell him, but he can tell that it's a lie...and that makes him more alert.
" let's get in bed brian its rather late..." you trail off as you walk up stares talking softly to the cat, great now he's stuck with a crazy cat woman. He hesitantly follows you though and you lead him through the dark hallway to a door. You stop and smile at him.
" here you are bri...I hope you have a wonderful nights sleep." You say, you set the cat down watching as it runs into brians room. and smile at him, " I should have the phone fixed in the morning before you wake up...so no need to keep trying." You said while bringing him in for a hug, he hugs back awkwardly and when you pull back you grab his warm hand In your ice cold one.
" goodnight brian...." and with that you disappeared into the next room over from his, he let's out a breath and stares at where you just stood with a confused look, you was the most beautiful yet mysterious woman he has ever met...and the fact you felt so cold made him worry a bit...
But he shrugs it off and walks into his room, the room was dark and cold, no lights on whatsoever, just the moon coming in through the open window beside the old bed with knew sheets and blankets, he sighs while taking his shoes off and sitting on the end of the bed, and holding his head in his hands, even though you seemed weird and off to him, you was a nice lady, Especially offering a complete stranger to stay with you. He felt bad for naming you weird but it seem to fit your description.
After closing the window He decided to get some sleep and laid down on the bed and covering up, he was rather tired and stressed over his car...and the fact he left his beloved red special in the car, that thought never leaving his mind. A small Yelp left Brian's lips as he felt something jumped on him, but he calms down seeing it's just maximus. Staring at him once more.
" maximus please dont stare at me...its creepy...just like everything else in here." He mumbles, the cat meows at him and continues its stare down. Brian sighs and closes his tired eyes. Falling asleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You pace around your room as you wait for the beautiful man to fall asleep, maximus was on watch for that, its around 4am as you patiently wait for the cat to run in here at any moment, you felt bad for doing this for some reason...but if you dont then you let him slip through your fingers like sand, he wont feel the connection unless you bite him...and once done the two of you will be inseparable.
But if you dont bite him then he could walk away leaving you to feel the unbearable pain that takes over you till the day you die...and you'll only die from said pain. And he...he will live a miserable life and you didn't want that for him. And you didn't want that for yourself so you have to turn him...whether he likes it or not.
The sound of a meow breaks your train of thoughts and a smile appears on your face, you quietly walk to his room seeing him sleeping peacefully, his mouth slightly parted as soft snores emitted from him, his beautifully sculpted face making a sense of love run through your cold veins, he was truly a gorgeous human, and your happy that he's the one who you've waited for all your life.
You walk to him and crawl in the bed hovering over him, he stirs a bit and moves around until he's comfortable, you smile and stare at his beautiful neck, you lick your lips as you bring a hand up moving his soft curls out of the way, once done you lean down ghosting your lips across the warm soft silky skin of his neck, you cant help but to lick the flesh, he moves a bit more and that's when your fangs come out and you bite him, he groans and you moan at the taste of his sweet pure blood, it was the best thing you've ever had, it was better then any other you've had, and that's what confirmed he was definitely your soulmate.
You pull your teeth from his neck and lick the mark you'd just made...the only scare that will ever paint his beautiful skin, you smile and roll over beside him to sleep, he was sweating and breathing heavily as he slept, he would sleep for a few days know as his body would adjust to becoming a demon of the night like you, you rest your head on his chest listening to his heart beat, knowing it will be the only and last time you'll hear it.

Duke Reviews: The Haunted Mansion
Welcome, Foolish Mortals To Our Final Monsterween Review Of The Year (Evil Laughter)
I Am Your Host, Your Ghost Host...Okay, I Am Not Going To Do Haunted Mansion Dialogue Throughout This Entire Review But I Think It's Obvious What We're Doing Today...
Tumblr media
With The Mansion's 50th Anniversary Happening Earlier This Year, I Thought Now Might A Good Time To Look Back At The 2003 Film, Which Sees A Real Estate Agent (Played By Eddie Murphy) And His Family Being Summoned To A Manor In Louisiana To Try To Sell The Mansion At The Owner's Behest, But Discovering That The Mansion Is Haunted And That The Owner And His Staff Are Dead, It Leads To Wacky Shenanigans Where The Real Estate Agent Learns A Valuable Lesson About Neglecting His Family...
Will The Real Estate Agent And His Family Escape?
Let's Find Out As We Watch, The Haunted Mansion...
The Film Starts With The Same Introduction As The Ride And As The Credits Roll We Get Some Fantastic Scenes Of The Backstory Of The Movie And The Costumes In This Scene Are Just Well-Done...
I Would Tell You About The Backstory In This Scene But They Go Over It Later In The Movie So, I'll Just Go Over It Then..?
But Fast Forwarding A Few Years Later We See A Paper Boy Arriving At The Gate Only To Be Scared By What Appears To Be Terrence Stamp's Character...
Fun Fact About The Film: The Director Who Directed The Film, Rob Minkoff Chose His Son To Play The Paper Boy In This Scene...
With The Camera Panning Down We Get Our First Image Of Eddie Murphy And His Wife (Played By Marsha Thompson) But Mainly Our First Image Of Eddie Murphy As He's In The Next Scene...
Murphy Plays Jim Evers Of Evers And Evers Real Estate Who's Trying To Sell A House To Rachael Harris And...
youtube
Only For Doyle! To Say That The Place Doesn't Have Enough Plugs...
But With Jim Pulling A Trick On The Phone While Talking With His Wife About Their Anniversary Dinner, Harris And Doyle! Decide To Buy The House...
Later At The Bombay Bicycle Club, Jim Closes A Deal With A Couple That Is Very Annoying And That Is Probably The Only Complaint That I Will Have About This Movie...
After Leaving The Annoying Couple To Have Their Drinks, Another Couple At The Bar Asks Jim If He Sold Their House Because If He Did They'd Be Interested In Buying...
So, In Talking With The Couple, Jim Misses His Anniversary Dinner...
Attempting To Make It Up To His Wife, Sarah By Giving Her A Teddy Bear...
Least It's Better Than A Gigantic Bunny Rabbit...Tony?
Tumblr media
And A New Watch But She's Still Mad At Him Not For Missing Their Anniversary But For Missing 3 Soccer Games, 2 Birthdays And 2 Barbeques...
I Admit Sarah That The Birthday Parties And Soccer Games Are Important But The 2 Barbeques Are Nothing And Can Be Done Another Time...
Realizing That He's Missed A lot, Jim Decides To Take His Family On A Weekend Adventure To The Lake...
Going To Tell Their Kids, Michael (Who Is At The Moment Afraid Of A Spider On His Window) And Megan (Who Ends Up Killing The Spider) About The Vacation They Seem Excited But When Sarah Gets A Phone Call From Someone Who Wants To Sell Their House, Jim Looks At The Address And Realizes That The Place Is A Big Mansion...
So, They Decide To Put Their Vacation On Hold To Check Out This One House. Arriving At The Mansion, They Park At The Gate Only To Discover It's Locked...
But What's More Interesting Is That The Lock Is Shaped Like Either Mickey Mouse Or Winnie The Pooh, Me? I Say It's Mickey But It Looks Like Either One...
With The Gate Unlocking, The Evers Drive Up To The House And Look Around Only To See A Gigantic Graveyard And I Mean Gigantic, It Looks Like It Could Go On For Miles...
Tumblr media
But When It Starts Raining The Evers Seek Shelter Inside Of The Mansion To Which They Succeed As The Door Opens To Reveal A Well-Designed Foyer, Everything About The Mansion In This Movie Is Just Well Designed And Frankly I Wouldn't Mind Living There...
Tumblr media
Hearing A Door Creek, Lightning Strikes Which Leads To The Introduction Of Ramsley The Butler (Played By General Zod Himself, Terrence Stamp) And Yes, A lot Of People Including The Nostalgia Critic Have Made Fun Of Stamp's Voice In The Film But I Think It's Just Spooky And The Way His Face Looks In The Film, I Don't Know What They Used Makeup Or CG But I Absolutely Love It...
Tumblr media
With "The Master" Wanting To Discuss Things Over Dinner, Sarah And The Kids Are Hesitant At First But Jim Tells Them That They Shouldn't Be Rude And Just Go With The Flow...
And Entering The Dining Room, It's Just...
Tumblr media
Damn, Murphy Beat Me To It...
Taking A Look Around The Room, They Eventually Meet "The Master", Master Edward Gracey To Be Exact (Played By Nathaniel Parker, Who Is Probably Known For The Inspector Lynley Mysteries) Who Joins Them For Dinner However As They Talk Ramsley Tells Them That The Storm Outside Has Flooded The Road And There'll Be No Leaving The Mansion Tonight...
With Sarah And The Kids Mad Over This Happening, Ramsley Shows Them To Their Rooms, Which Leads To Sarah Taking It Out On Jim Because He Had To Come To The Mansion Instead Of Going On Vacation With Them...
But As Sarah Locks Herself In The Bathroom, Ramsley Visits Jim To Tell Him That Gracey Wants To See Him In The Library. Taking Jim Downstairs We See This Massive Library, Not Beauty And The Beast Massive Library Of Congress Massive But Still It's Pretty Big...
Offering Jim A Drink, Jim Asks Ramsley A Number A Questions Before Ramsley Tells Jim That His Master Is Not Well And Must Move On Or He Fears The Very Worst Which Sounds Like Gracey Must Move On Or His Spirit Will End Up In Limbo Forever...
With Ramsley Eventually Leaving, It Leads To One Of My Favorite Lines From Eddie Murphy In This Movie, Before He Finds A Statue That Opens Up The Secret Entrance To The Batcave!...
To The Batpoles, Robin!...
No, I'm Just Kidding But It Is A Secret Room...
Meanwhile, Michael Opens Up A Music Box Which Has Gracey And Elizabeth Dancing Which Causes A Ghost Ball To Appear...
With Megan Seeing It, Both Her And Michael Decide To Follow It...
Looking For Jim, Sarah Runs Into Ramsley Who Tells Her That He Left Him In The Library, Finding Gracey There Instead Of Jim, Where She Asks Him Why He Would Want To Sell The Mansion Which Leads Him To Explain That It's Because That The Mansion's Walls Are Filled With Painful Memories...
Which Then Leads Gracey To Explain To Sarah Why Telling Her That Despite This House Once Being Filled With Dancing, Laughter And Hope It All Changed When He Met A Girl Named Elizabeth...
Still Following The Ghost Ball, Michael And Megan Discover A Hidden Elevator And Decide To Follow The Ghost Ball Up To The Attic...
While Jim Ends Up In A Hallway That's A Mixture Of The Hallway With The Shapeshifting Portraits And The Busts That Follow You Wherever You Go And The Hallway With The Doors That Knock And Try To Open At You From The Ride Only What Jim Is Dealing With Is Like A Door That's Breathing...
Cutting Back To The Kids And The Ghost Ball, They Go To The Attic Only To Find A Wedding Dress And A Picture Of A Person Who Looks Like Their Mom, But Running Into 2 Servants Named Emma And Ezra (Played By Dina Waters And Wallace Shawn)...
Tumblr media
Who Besides Being The Comic Relief In This Film, Explain To The 2 Kids That The Person In The Portrait Is Elizabeth, Before Hiding Them From Ramsley, Who Talks With Them About How The Children Are Missing And About How Mad He Is That Sarah Brought Her Kids And Her Husband With Her...
Saying To Them That If They See The Children To Bring Them To Him, He Leaves Saying That Nothing Will Interphere With The Master's Plan...
youtube
Cutting Back To Jim, He Meets Madame Leota (Played By Jennifer Tilly) Who Tells Him That There Is A Curse On The Mansion And It Seeks To Destroy Him And His Family And How Only The Light Will Lead The Lead The Way Home...
Being Chased By Leota's Musical Instruments, Jim Eventually Loses Them And Reunites With His Kids With Ezra And Emma Who Explain That Sarah Is In Danger As They Show Him The Picture Of Elizabeth...
Cutting Back To Sarah We Get The Backstory On Gracey And Elizabeth, As Gracey Tells Elizabeth That He Loved Her More Than Life Himself But They Were From Different Worlds And Couldn't Be Together. Realizing This, She Poisoned Herself Which Led To Him Hanging Himself (With That Scene Based On The Hanging Skeleton In The Stretching Portrait Gallery)
Hearing The Entire Conversation Between Gracey And Sarah, Jim Is Mad That He Was Only Brought Here So Gracey Could Get "Jiggy" With His Wife And Not To Sell The Mansion. Asking If Sarah Is Elizabeth, Leota Tells Emma That While Elizabeth Walks The Mansion's Halls, She Warns Her Not To Be Deceived As Things Are Not As They Appear To Be...
Telling Them That For The Curse To Be Lifted The Truth Must Be Known, Leota Tells Them To Find Find The Key In The Black Crypt With No Name, But With No Way Out, Emma And Ezra Offer To Take Them To The Graveyard Which Is Just Awesome I Mean This Is Just Fan Service Central...
I Mean We See The Dueling Portrait Ghosts, I Believe The English Ghosts Are There, We Have The Ghosts On The Seesaw, The Cryptkeeper And His Dog Are There But They're Ghosts (Though Originallly They Were Supposed To Be In The Picture With The Cryptkeeper, Played By Of All People Don Knotts), We Have The Executioner And The Headless Knight There And Finally One Of My Personal Favorites...
Tumblr media
The Hitchhiking Ghosts...
All While We Get A Shaymalan Reference...
Taking Elizabeth To The Attic, Gracey Shows Sarah Elizabeth's Wedding Dress While Jim Meets My Other Personal Favorites The Singing Busts...
youtube
I Know A lot Of People Find This Scene Annoying But I'm Sorry I Love This Scene I Can't Help But Laugh At It...
Eventually Finding The Mausoleum, Jim Goes Down Only For Megan To Follow Despite Leaving Michael Upstairs Because Of Course He's Too Scared...
Finding The Black Crypt I Half Expect Someone To Go "Let Me Out! Let Me Out!" But Instead They Open Up The Tomb And Grab The Key. But Instead Of Closing The Tomb Like A Smart Person Would They Leave It Open So A Zombie Can Come To Life To Get Them...
Losing The Key, Megan Goes Down In The Water To Find It While Jim Finishes Off The Zombie Only To Wake Up Another Million...
Though I Will Say That These Zombies And Most Of The Ghosts Were Very Well Made Up By Rick Baker To The Point That If Anyone Deserves To Be Called The Master It's Him...
Eventually Finding The Key, Jim Gets Megan Up On The Bridge Before The Zombies Can Eat Her So They Can Go Upstairs, But Before They Get Out The Door Shuts On Them And Locks Them In, Leaving It Up To Michael To Save Them Only Problem Is That There Are Millions Of Spiders On The Door...
Realizing That He Has To Face His Fears To Save His Father And His Sister, Michael Does Just In The Nick Of Time. Taking The Key To Leota, She Tells Jim To Find The Trunk Which Pisses Him Off To The Point That He Carries Leota Off With Him To Find It As He's Tired Of Playing Games...
Taking Him Up To The Attic, They Find The Trunk And Discover A Letter From Elizabeth That Reveals That Elizabeth Had No Intention Of Killing Herself But Instead Wanted To Be With Gracey To Which Ramsley Reveals Himself As The Culprit...
Asking Ramsley Why He Killed Her, Ramsley Tells Him That It Was Because Gracey Wouldn't Listen To Reason And That Despite Having Despite Having Everything In The World He Was Going To Just Throw It Away For Love...
Stating That Running Away With Elizabeth Would Have Destroyed The Mansion And Everyone Around It, Jim Decides To Tell Gracey Everything, But Ramsley Has No Intention On Letting That Happen And Instead Places Michael And Megan In A Box While He Throws Jim Out Of The Mansion In A Fall That Should Have Killed Him...
Taking Sarah To The Ballroom, Gracey Reveals In His Own Way To Sarah That He Is His Grandfather That He Was Talking About And That He Believes Her To Be Elizabeth (And While They're Talking During This Scene We See The Dancing Ghosts In The Ballroom In The Ride Appear Here) But Believing Him To Be Crazy, Sarah Runs Off, Returning To Her Room...
Starting To Believe That She's Not Elizabeth, Ramsley Appears To Tell Gracey That To Not Despair For She Will In Time (Despite Her Not Being Elizabeth Being True)
Appearing In Sarah's Room, Ramsley Tells Her That Gracey Is Expecting Her And To Put On Her Wedding Dress, Saying Again That She's Not Elizabeth, Ramsley Tells Her In His Own Way That She Better Act Like Elizabeth Or Else He'll Kill Michael And Megan...
As The Wedding Begins, Jim Tries To Break In But All The Windows Appear To Reform With Every Hit, So Believing That Hope Is Lost, Leota Rolls In To Tell Jim That Even Though He's Made Mistakes It's Never Too Late To Fix Them, So Getting In His Car With Leota, Jim Right Through The Window...
Entering The Foyer, Near The Hallway To The Ballroom Jim Has To Go Through Ghostly Knights To Save Not Just His Kids, But His Wife Too!...
Saving Michael And Megan From The Knights, Jim Enters The Ballroom To Put A Halt On The Ceremony. But Having No Intention Of Losing Elizabeth Again, Jim Tells Gracey The Truth And Gives Him Elizabeth's Real Letter...
Asking Ramsley About This, He Tells Gracey His Reasonings Stating That He Tried To Warn Him But He Wouldn't Listen...
Ramsley Summons Evil Spirits To Make Them...
Tumblr media
But Said Spirits Turn On Him, And He Tries To Take Jim To Hell With Him But Luckily Gracey Saves Jim As Ramsley Goes To Hell...
But While Jim Was Saving Michael And Megan, Sarah Drank Some Of The Poison That She Was Supposed To Drink To Marry Gracey And Now It's Taking Effect...
Saying That He Loves Her, The Blue Ghost Ball Approaches Jim And Goes Inside Of Sarah, As A Portal To Heaven Appears Above Which Causes Sarah To Float Like Exorsist (But This Time It's A Good Thing Not A Bad Thing) As It's Revealed That The Ghost Ball Was Elizabeth...
Who Reveals That The The Truth Had To Be Known For Her To Be Released, With Gracey Reunited With Elizabeth, There's Only One Problem Left, What About Sarah? Well, She Doesn't Die And Jim And Her Make Up As Gracey Gives Them The Deed To The Mansion For Them To Do What They Must With It...
With Gracey, Elizabeth, Emma And Ezra Going To Heaven Most Of The Ghosts Seem To Follow Suit Except For Madame Leota And The Singing Busts Who Go Off To Live With The Evers Family Which Ends Our Movie...
But We Do Get A End Credits Scene As Leota Says The Famous "Hurry Back" Line From The Ride...
And That's The Haunted Mansion And...Well...
It Has It's Problems With Story And Characters I Will Admit That But I'm Sorry, I Like This Movie, The Sets Are Fantastic, The Costumes Are Well Done, The Make Up By Rick Baker Is Fantastic, I Know It's Not Enough But Those 3 Reasons Alone Make This Movie Worth Watching I Mean Eddie Murphy, Yes Some Of His Jokes Aren't Funny But That Alone Doesn't Make Him The Worst Thing In This Movie, Jennifer Tilly, Yes, She's No Elenore Audley But Honestly Try Picking An Actor As Good As Elenore Audley To Be Madame Leota, Yes, The Ending Isn't Great, It Looks Like A Damn Pureflix Or Kirk Cameron Movie But I Can Live With It....
The Haunted Mansion Is One Of My Favorite Rides At The Park And I'm Sorry If I'm Not Hating On It As Much As Everyone Else Is But For What It Is I Can Live With This Film...
You Want To See People Hate On This Movie Watch Some Jerk With A Camera's Review With The Horror Guru And Count Jackula On The Film Or The Nostalgia Critic's Review On The Film Both Of Those Are Funny...
