Rift Malfunction AU

This AU is not a perfect swap. No hermit is swapped with a specific empires person. But, there are small elements. Also, the hermits that didn’t go through the portal (Beef, Mumbo, Wels, Zed, and Xb) are still hermits (they will be covered in a separate post) Empires members also covered in another post).

List of everyone below the cut (It’s a long post):

Grian: Archivist/Archeologist of the Floating Fortress. A strange, ancient kingdom carved into floating rocks. A strange magic that no one understands is holding up the rocks. Grian studies the fortress and the strange, old mechanism within: It’s offline for now.

Perhaps he, or someone else, can get it working again?

 Export: Random materials that he collects on his adventures. (In truth, he primarily exports amethyst and elytra) and enchanting books)

Memory: Grian’s memories are messed up. He almost fully believes that he’s just an archelogist. But, the way he looks at the giant machine in the back of the ruins. There’s a chilling sensation that bothers him greatly.

Scar: King of Scarlandia/Elven Lands. A huge forest with a giant tree in the center. The houses and shops dangle from the branches and glow in the night.

 Export: Cookies, bows.

 Memory: The same Scar as ever. He’s bright, cheery, and just wants to have a good time. Having Jellie (a giant Jellie, mind you) by his side just makes him happier too.

 But, he’ll occasionally, he’ll look at his reflection in the mirror and stare. For a brief moment, he’ll see a man in a hard hat. Or, maybe, he’ll see a man in a bomber jacket and sunglasses wielding a bow (he had the exact same bow. Why is it in his hands?). 

Then, his reflection will return to normal, and he’ll push all that aside and say that he’s dreaming again.

Tango: Lord of the Ice Fortress. A citadel that resides in the snowy wastes. But despite the snow, there is a warmth within the whole keep.

Export: Redstone and Ice

Memory: Tango doesn’t remember much of anything; He’s busy with arming his keep. He thinks that he’s building some sort of game, but he hasn’t figured out the name of it yet.

Impulse: Guardsman/Chief of the Dwarven Keep. It shares the same look as Impulse’s S9 base; however, there are similarities to Fwhip’s kingdom too (multiple cave systems linked together, districts, etc).

Export: Emeralds and Gold

Memory: Impulse surprisingly has a decent amount of his memories. But there’s a problem, his memories are of blurred faces and muffled voices. On top of this, his head hurts when he tries to remember.

Doc: Lord of Goat Mountain (and the Perimeter?). The kingdom of Goat Mountain is quite secretive. There’s an ancient door that blocks the way inside. Very few members of He-Empires have seen it.

Export: Contraptions, Golden Carrots, Deepslate

Memory: Doc doesn’t remember anything of Hermitcraft and the seasons prior. But, he does find remnants of the past and glitched out parts of his code; These glitches have made him a bit more feral.

Pearl: Queen of the Sunlight Fields. A beautiful town with a grand looking town central.

Export: sunflowers, glass (stained and otherwise), organization (not technically an export but shhhh. It’s fine).

Memory: Pearl doesn’t remember much of anything. She just goes with the flow of things.

False: Protector of {???}

Export: copper and weaponry (excludes bows)

Memory: False’s memories are incredibly messed up. She knows that she’s meant to be protecting her friends. However, there’s a bad feeling in her gut that something’s wrong.

 She just can’t figure out what. It doesn’t help that she can’t remember the name of her empire either.

Cub: Head of Concave Labs. A laboratory in the mountains that has some strange, magical properties.

Export: potions (Skulk?)

Memory: Cub can’t remember much. The skulk and crystals in his lab are fogging his brain. He’ll get the odd dream every now and again. But, those are just dreams. Right?

Jevin: Emperor of Slime. The kingdom is located deep within the swamplands.

Export: iron, mud (he doesn’t export slime. That’d be weird)

Memory: Jevin is, unfortunately for him, a giant slime creature at the time. While he is an emperor, he’s quite feral and will protect his people. Still, if you’re kind to him, you could be able to talk him free from this state of mind. 

 Once out of that state of mind, he’s quite unsure of the world around him. His slime is a deep green; however, he recalls it being blue at some point.

Keralis: Woodland Wonderland. A giant forest of many different trees: Trees that usually don’t even go together.

Export: wood

Memory: Keralis remembers almost everything. However, he’s incredibly cryptic on what he knows versus what he doesn’t. But when he’s alone, he stands before a giant board with pictures of his friends. Said pictures being both of before and after.

 He’ll stare at the board for hours at a time. He misses his friends.

Joe: Bard of {???}. No one really knows where Joe’s at. Some say that he’s near Cleo, but no one is certain about this (except Cleo but she ain’t talking)

Export: paper

Memory: Joe’s memories are like an onion. His memories are quite surface level (name, who his friends are, being a bard). But, the more he thinks about everything, the less sense it makes. The more that the blurred faces appear.

It will take a long while to get him to talk though.

Cleo: Empress of Stone. A giant collection of ruins wrapped tight in vines. Without Cleo, those who try and navigate the ruins are lost (some can navigate it fine though).

Export: stone and armor stands

Memory: Cleo doesn’t remember much of anything. But, she does look to Joe and sense something familiar about him. Well, besides him being a fellow Empires person; There’s something else to him though.

X: King of Skelelands

Export: iron, bones

Memory: X doesn’t remember a thing. He barely even recalls his brother existing. So, he’s just a king upon his throne of bones. Don’t worry though, he’s still as nice as ever.

 He’s just more... skeptical.

Ren: King of the Crastle/Doglands. It looks very much like the castle of S9. 

Export: wool, pies

Memory: Ren struggles to remember a lot of things. Thankfully, He’s been keeping his notes to help him remember who he is.

Edited lore bit: Ren is found by Pixl (who is still trying to put his memories together). Pixl helps to escort (note: carry) him to Gem’s place in order to help him remember things.

Bdubs: King (God) of Moss. Bdubs lives with Ren.

Export: moss

Memory: Bdubs remembers most things. But the longer he is king (God), he begins to forget about Hermitcraft.... The more that he forgets Etho.

 He’s been keeping notes about everything. He and Ren have been helping each other to remember.

Gem: Dawn

Export: honey

Memory: Gem remembers everything. The others think that she hasn’t been sleeping well and are concerned. But, Gem knows that there has to be some way to fix this mess.

 She just needs to find Grumbot and fix the multiverse. It can’t be that hard... Right?

More small fic ideas:

Toy Jimmy but he’s not a rag doll toy but instead is made of porcelain. His body is okay with respawns but after rapid and draining respawns can cause paint to fade and cracks forming. He can remove body parts but they can’t move if they’re a meter around from him. Set before Fwhip is fired from his deputy job, Joel taunts Jimmy in front of the jail. Just before he flys off, Joel shoots an arrow straight into Jimmy’s face. Fwhip arrives with hurt and comfort. Jimmy is missing part of his left eye and now angst.

Empires season 1 Joel headcanon: he’s made out of magical terracotta. He has to form himself out of clay, making hundreds of clay copies of himself. Joel is very breakable and every time he respawns he respawns into one of the clones. After the destruction of all of the empires and Lizzie, the love of his life, disappearing, Joel over the years couldn’t bring himself to make clay sculptures of himself. Perhaps he made art of over emperors? Trying to remember the faces of old friends, enemies, and love. Maybe that’s how King Joel of Mezlia died of a broken heart?

Toy!Jimmy turning everyone into toys but unlike him, they can’t move or speak. Bonus angst, he leaves Tango for last.

Phil gets turn into a teenager without any memories after that age, no wings and no immortality. It’s up to bench trio to stop him from accidentally killing himself. Hilarity ensures.

After double life, scar and grian’s sound based injuries carry over back to hermitcraft. Do they get their hearing back from the glitch or learn to live life without sound.

Sbi family au but Tommy and Tubbo swap places. So possible twinduo or techno is just a family friend/uncle friend, Wilbur is Phil and Kristen’s kid, Tubbo was found by Wilbur and raised by him via brother/brother friendship while Tommy was this random kid they found on the side of the road. Tubbo was also childhood friends with Eryn. Basically how would the story go if the two swapped places? How did they develop and what’s their friendships towards other people? Would Tommy had idolised Schlatt or stood up against him more in the manburg arc? What’s Tubbo’s relationship with dream wand what object or objects does Dream have control over him? How does bench trio work and the aftermath of L’Manburg blowing up a second time?

An au where Eret never became king again. He helps to repair damaged relationships and helps to build a new bakery with Niki for Niki. Maybe friendship drama because hey niki, trying to kill Tommy won’t solve anything, lets just bake our feelings into bread and then eat said bread. I dunno maybe a pirate adventure with puffy as well for good measures.

With the empires x hermitcraft crossover, what if while most of the hermits are stuck over in empires, there’s a sudden arrival of a bunch of new people on hermitcraft; Dream smp members. There are too many nations being built up… Just imagine the hermits coming back and Xb and Beef talk about the wars and nations that happened with these new guests.

I want a villain arc for Jimmy so an au where he becomes a new super secret bandit but nobody knows it’s him would be brilliant. Maybe he tries to frame Joey for crimes, especially after a big one. But it turns out he had an alibi so Joey isn’t thieving around for once or he’s stealing smaller things. And Joey wouldn’t blow up parts of peoples empires or kill them a bunch. One day Joel demands that the bandit be found as all of the gold from his empire went missing overnight. During a meeting between the empires it’s revealed to be Jimmy all along who then proceeds to flee via a tnt distraction. Tumbler town is now in lockdown with Jimmy still ruling.

Double life but it’s body swap instead. So tango <-> Jimmy, Grian <-> Scar and so on.

Werewolf!Ren finds out that both sun god bdubs and princess of dawn gem are also werewolves. The whole sleeping through the night is so they don’t have to face transforming because blah blah blah bad experiences or scared. Just, more werewolf au’s.

Vampire Sbi but Phil is the only human and the boys use him to get stuff. Like yes Wilbur and techno were turned in their early-mid twenties but sometimes you gotta use a human to get stuff. Along with Tommy being turned at 16 can’t buy certain things so PHILLLLLLL.

Everyone but one person on every server are hybrids, gods or eldritch horrors. Some picks: Human Tubbo or Tommy or both, Human Keralis and finally human Pix or Jimmy.

Owen doesn’t get turned back into a Llama but Scott does.

Sculk possessed!Cubfan infects Katherine so there’s nature wives angst.

Vex!Scar trying to slap sculk!Cub back to his senses because you can only be possessed by one thing and it has to be as a duo!

Crack fic where Joel gets turned into a toy for a day because karma or something.

More god and deities chill out on the empires server. Aka, Kristen the Goddess of death.

Deity!Elaina propaganda because fuck you I heard she likes space so she is a god now. Also it would be funny for c!Eret to have more god connections like foolish and herobrine.

Shep's Hermitcraft Character Design Event [Week 2, Day 3 - The Spirit and the Mage]

Hello! This post is in regards to @shepscapades Hermit Design Event! Check it out here!

The prompt I'm doing throughout this week is:

"Video Game Swap"

Here's the designs I did for this week's Day 1 (Impulse and Gem) and Day 2 (Skizz and Pearl)! If you wish to know what Hermit Age is, check the masterlist! Also the links to each characters' interpretations can be seen below!

Continuing with my Hermit Age AU designs, I am now introducing Tango and his human friend Tekhalas!

Tango

This is Tango, the Spirit of Passion!

The way you understand his story is that he came from this realm called the Fade, where spirits and demons live. As a Spirit of Passion, he is attached to the passions of people. He decided to head to the mortal world of Thedas for curiosity's sake and the need to find what makes people passionate in their lives. He eventually found Tekhalas, a mage on the run. They form a cautious friendship and by time, the two merge and become two minds in one body.

Spirits come in different forms and appearances but the way I imagine Tango looking is like what you see on the Hero Forge and picrew design. A fiery like blond hair adorned with simple and free robes of reds and greys, with red eyes and near pale yellow skin. He's also ethereal like!

Tekhalas

This is Tekhalas, an Elf mage!

Now this person's an OC of some form but he is intertwined with Tango's story for my AU. He works as Tango's mortal vessel as the two agreed to work together in the elf's body. Also his name is just a little play on words with Tango and Tek(halas). Think of Tango (non-AU) as two different entities formed into one for the AU!

Tekhalas' story is how he was a mage of the Cumberland Circle, where he has wishes to just be free and away from the restraints of the Circle of Magi and the Templars. He's always dreamed of a world outside. Then the Mage-Templar War erupted, which gave him the chance to resist and escape which became successful. He's now an apostate on the run, exploring his freedom and his passion for being free, allowing him to do what he wishes to do, which is to create and hone his craft.

He eventually got into contact with Tango and the two formed a bond, which would soon merge them into one. Now they just explore together around Thedas, taking advantage of the freedom they now have.

Tekhalas is inspired by this character named Anders, who is a human mage that is all for mage rights and freedoms (he's a tragic character). Like Anders, he is a person with a spirit inhabiting them. For Anders, he has the Spirit of Justice within him, empowered by the feelings of justice for mages. While for Tekhalas, he has Tango inhabiting him, empowered by the elf mage's passions for freedom.

He is also inspired by Cole, who is inhabiting human!Cole's body as a Spirit of Compassion.

Tekhalas' outfit is original but the idealization is just like Anders' outfit.

Tekhalas (Possessed)

As for this, it is Tekhalas when Tango is in full control of the elf mage's body. This typically happens during moments where the elf has gotten passionate for his freedoms. An example is when he is feeling cornered by Templars that his instincts kick into full throttle to fight them off, with his freedoms threatened.

When Tekhalas is possessed by Tango, his magical abilities are heightened but makes him weaker from defending himself and more prone to attacking allies without knowing.

Like Anders here who is currently possessed by Justice (Vengeance), Tekhalas would have a visual change when he is possessed by Tango, with bright glowing red eyes as one indication and bright red veins of magic appearing randomly. His voice also goes on a change as Tango's voice and Tekhalas' unite as one.

Now there is a danger when it comes to keeping one's emotions and feelings unchecked.

If Tekhalas delves into his passions more negatively, fueled by hatred or anger against those who wishes to threaten his freedom, Tango could turn and become corrupted, becoming a dangerous Rage Demon. Passion can turn into rage if left unchecked.

This is a Rage Demon, fueled by wrath and hatred.

Tango can become one of them if Tekhalas keeps himself emotionally uncontrolled. This process also is permanent, twisting the very nature that makes Tango himself.

I bite... what your star wars au about?

It’s a mainly mcyt Star Wars au that takes place about the same time as the prequels, and largely after the fall of the Republic, in Star Wars canon timeline.

The main two story focuses that I have fully planned out and written follow a lot of the dsmp characters and then hermit/last life characters respectfully - I’ll give general outlines, but I have fleshed out character ideas as well as a few short fics for about everyone, as well as quite a few chapters of a major fic - it is a rather extensive au to be honest.

I’ll explain Pix specifically first, as that’s who I posted! He’s a jedi master who chose to pursue archaeology instead of the regular path to knighthood, swapping sometime shortly before becoming a master. He usually goes on explorations with ExplorCorps in the middle and outer rim of the galaxy. His psychometry abilities are very handy in his line of work, allowing him to experience echoes in the force, live through history in a unique way. He’s the first to find that tomb and guardian statue, on a planet on the far reaches of the outer rim, and is studying it around the time the galactic civil war is beginning to brew.

The first main story follows a few major dsmp players. Tommy is a padawan under Sam, who is trying to find Tubbo again and see if Sam is alive after Order 66, and learns how to deal with loss and new beginnings. Wilbur is one of the driving forces forming the rebellion, a sort of stand in for Bail Organa in a sense. Dream is the emperor, of course, while Eret is the stand in for Anakin - the one who betrays them all. Except instead of falling fully to the dark side, she regrets her decisions and tries to make things right.

A little earlier in the timeline, Scar is a jedi alongside Grian - who is a powerful force sensitive who’s barely convinced the council to let him stay with the jedi, with mysterious connections to another cult like force group and a lot of missing memories. Cub and Doc work as scientists for the republic during this time. Ren is a smuggler with a quick draw and quicker wit, though he’s running from his own past as much as he’s running from authorities. And Xisuma is a senator who stumbles into some conspiracies around the forming separatist alliance and the emperor in turn when he really shouldn’t have. They all have their role in the previous story as well, though admittedly I haven’t fitted them in how I want to yet.

I say two main stories, but again, everyone has a role, it’s an extensive AU, one I’ve written a little over 20k for in total? Quackity and Las Nevadas have their own role, there’s quite a few folks in the senate where there’s political drama, there’s mandalorian lore and culture through a few others (because I’m predictable, and Technoblade’s character is so mandalorian coded is all I’m saying). Some other streamers along the outreaches of these communities have a role as well - Corpse, Sykunno, Aimsey, Captain Sparklez, Elaina, for some specific examples.

So yeah! Please feel free to bite again lol, ask me about plot or characters (empires, hermitcraft, dsmp, what have you) and their role and place, and I will so gladly provide you with another paragraph or five on that character alone lol

double life really did just send me through the wildest fuckin dream and as a consequence,dream smp au. everyone sort of had a mix of their dsmp personalities and some traits from hermits (tommy had a few of grian's traits). they could SWAP soulmates. c!tommy was actually soulmates with ranboo and he was NOT pleased with this bc he wanted to be paired with tubbo. people were jokingly giving tommy shit about how he'd probably the first to die,only for RANBOO to cost them their life with water

c!alliumduo lived in this pretty mountain base with sunflowers when ranboo came home all sheepish with a buncha diamonds to apologize (and also persuade him to not swap) bc YEAH, that death really wasn't tommy's fault in the slightest. tommy begrudgingly agreed they'd stay soulmates

That's pretty cool, but I think people being able to swap soulmates would make the whole thing a bit less interesting.

The element of being stuck with the person that the universe randomly decided to assign you is a big part of what makes Double Life interesting to me specifically. Because Soulmates in double life aren't necessarily a good thing. They can be, but they can also be a neutral if not straight-up negative thing and people just have to live with it. They don't get a choice. That's where the angst kicks in.

However, that's just my personal preference.

Okay so its time for that angsty Grian backstory for The Bodyswap Au!

So Grian isn't human. He doesn't have his own body, instead he is/was a creature that stole people's bodies/lives. Magical identity theft. But here is the thing. By taking the body he kills the original owner. He would first study his new body choice and their lives and behind and them essentially become them. Although he mostly just lived their life normally, sometimes he would just do whatever he wanted.

He has been around for a really long time and through the years became more and more horrified at what he was and what he was doing. He exchanged his power and all the magic/energy he collected over the years for a body of his own which is his current hermitcraft body.

So the Bodyswap happens for some reason, either Techno accidentally performing magic that makes them switch places or idk soulmates switch bodies until they meet in person, but soulmates are so rare most believe they don't exist. Now Grian is sure he accidentally used his residual power/magic and took a new body, killing the original. He fakes memory loss and desperately tries to be this person who he accidentally killed. Philza probably immediately figures out that this is someone else and not his son so thats added angst. In the mean time Techno is confused in hermitcraft and the hermits are very kind, even while they try and figure out where Grian went, and how to get him back.

Swap!Au is BACK! (Inspired by Multiverse Anon): Doc ended up just creating a whole new prison for Dream, the GOAT. What happened to the old prison you ask? IT GOT TURNED INTO A ROUND OF HURTING HERMITS! Each hermit takes turns adjusting it so that it gets harder and harder to escape. After all the redstoners make "next to impossible to escape" Tango escapes in 10 minutes, legitimate and Etho escapes in two with clever use of the ender pearl stasis chambers. The SMPers watch in horror -🌾

it becomes a monthly thing for the hermits, instead of the hermits helping hermits it hermits harming hermits (well more than normal)

I'm not entirely proud of this (even though their my favorites of the two servers), but it's a good start

In the au the servers don't actually interact (unless it's grian's server, mcc, or something else), I made them directly interact mostly because I want to make the drawing more interesting (I'm not very good at poses)

The other ones probably won't be as close together or anything, if they did it would probably get repetitive

the swaps are mostly based on personality, relationships (like trios), and things like similar roles in servers they've been in (this includes servers like origins and the life series in general)

Za is the godess name for mumza, za is the last name she gave Phil before she had to go back to ,what I'm gonna call for now, the god plane, and that's why his name is PhilZA Minecraft, and it felt weird for her actual name to be mumza

And just as a small tidbit, XD also has an actual name, it's exdee(or something similar) XD is his symbol and used as the spelling of his name because of convenience probably

There's more dream smp members then hermits so it's harder to find people to swap with dsmp members

I don't entirely have an idea for Schlatt, but since I'm including non hermits, I was considering having Joker as Schlatt, mostly because of their laughs, and I don't really have anyone else joker can swap with X'D

Shells in the Foam (a Hermit!Tommy fanfic) by Cedarwhisp21 [Rated T, 90720 words, incomplete, last updated January 2022]

When Dream attacks Tommy in Logestshire, Tommy runs. Badly injured, he somehow manages to slip between worlds and wakes up in a badlands biome, on a server far from home, with no other players in sight.

The Hermits are surprised when a new player logs in, and confused when no-one’s at spawn. Five days later, after waiting for the new player to introduce themselves, Xisuma uses his admin abilities to access their coordinates. He takes Impulse with him to welcome the new player to Hermitcraft, but instead of the beginnings of a base, they find something a lot more concerning.

There’s that deep visceral type of sadness that finds a home inside your bones and never seems to leave. Some days it’s ignorable, just a minor obstacle in your day. Other times it’s loud and true, grasping at every inch of your being and filling your senses with such emotion that it feels like it’s too much. Regret, sadness, anger. All of them add up to what swallowed the brothers up whole: grief.

Even though they had Tommy back that feeling still rang true in their hearts. Their Tommy was still dead and gone, forgotten if fate decides it so. If this Tommy, this strange and broken and angry Tommy, stuck around, were they expected to forget about their Tommy?

He hears birdsong.

That’s the first thing he notices, when he’s able to breathe past the pain in his ribs. When he opens his eyes to green leaves and a blue summer sky, he thinks he’s dreaming. The sky is never blue in the Dream SMP, not after all the explosions. It’s always tinged with grey, the scent of ash and wood smoke subtle in the air. When was the last time he was somewhere with clean air? Exile?

He sits up. The pain is blinding, but he grits his teeth against it, hands tight around the wound in his side. He looks around, really looks around, and it takes everything he has to keep from screaming. Nothing but woods on every side, trees swaying gently in a warm breeze, birds flittering from branch to branch. Fuck.

He falls back with a thump, and immediately regrets it, hissing in pain. Well, one thing’s for sure. He’s not in fucking Kansas anymore.

(Alternatively, Tommy gets gravely injured, and to save his life, Dream drop kicks him to a different server. Unfortunately for him, it has the opposite effect than what he was expecting.)

Rift Malfunction AU 3

Zedaph:

Memory: Nothing much has changed for Zedaph. Sure when he looks upon a photo of him and Skizzleman there’s two empty spacing. But, he seems pretty content with his inventions and Zedvancements (he can’t remember doing a lot of them though).

Xb:

Memory: Xb recognizes that something’s wrong. Within his dreams, he sees worlds that he doesn’t remember. He also sees people that seem to shift in their appearance.

 When he tries to remember his dreams, he finds that his brain tries to fog up even more.

Xb has a notebook that he’s been using to jot down what he can remember.

Mumbo:

Mumbo’s just cycling :)). He’s having a good time. He’s been disconnected from the worlds for so long that his memory isn’t affected at all!

But when he does return, he eventually notices that the server’s... Unstable?

Wels:

Wels’ memory has only changed slightly. He can remember his friends, but parts of his mind seems to be changing to fit the changed new worlds.

 When he leaves Hermitcraft after created his card, his memories return to him.

Etho:

Memory: While Etho has been off of his own adventure, he has returned to the server multiple times. This has caused him to start forgetting certain things.

 Like a certain plant/moss hybrid and creeper/goat hybrid

Beef:

Memory: Beef struggles the most out of the non-swapped hermits. He’s made his card game, but the cards seem to change before his eyes. 

 The bull hybrid’s memory is also fading from him. He’s been using what cards he’s managed to save in order to help him. 

The other cards, which look like the empires members (but hermitized), have been pinned up to a bulletin board.

(Stress and Iskall are in a similar boat as Mumbo. Neither have been around for long enough to lose their memories/be aware of what’s happened)

Would anyone like to hear my fanfic ideas? Some include but not limited to:

- Deaf/Blind!Tommy + Hermit!Tommy idea dabbles.

- Dream smp members going to hermitcraft for a holiday, Niki sparing with False, Foolish getting sort of over the chandelier, Eret taking photos of builds and mega bases.

- Server hopper!Hbomb who can enter any server without needing a white list. Although a solo traveler, he sneaks Ant, Niki and Eret into hermitcraft for a quick day trip. This might of caused some glitches…

- The egg in hermitcraft. So many different one shots…

- Fusion au that I came up with after realising that my number 1 favourite dsmp member and hermit both have king aesthetics and are in fact hard to draw as a fusion.

- Deep sleep!Tommy au, it’s filled with angst and a badly written Evil X!

- Magical Coma!Dream au that I came up with from a comic I saw on Instagram. It basically Bad takes on Dream’s role through out the L’Manburg arc and when the eggpire arc starts Bad takes his original role back and Punz takes over being a dictator, all the whole Dream is in a magically induced coma.

- Double life role swap au where Grian uses his watcher powers/connections to have scar and BigB swap but this causes everyone else to swap soulmates too.

- Dad!Zedaph and lab!Tommy, a cracked fic my beloved. It’s just adding Zed to the list of “potential white blond British man as a father figure” but not because he can be seen as a father figure but because I love lab Tommy au’s and think it would be funny if Zed made him as an experiment and then dropped him off into a forest to fend for himself.

- Ghostinnit befriending Cleo

- Hermit!Tommy BUT he doesn’t go to boatem. An au with a bunch of half baked reasons.

- Jimmy isn’t a toy but he is made out of porcelain and has a realisation with Joel shoots him in the eye. Bonus if Fwhip helps Jimmy out.

- After double life ended everyone goes back to their main servers but the empire members end up in hermitcraft and the hermit players end up on the empires server. The hermits have amnesia like False because of story magic while the trapped empires members are fully aware that they’re on the wrong server.

- One shot of season 1 empires!Joel making clay clones of himself. (A headcanon that he’s made out of magical clay) He stops after Lizzie disappears so the Mezelea Emperor dying of a broken heart was literal.

- One shot of Tommy becoming a champion of DreamXD, other champions include Philza (under the goddess of death), Jimmy and Grian (both under the watchers)

- Scar some how ends up on the dream smp and becomes a capitalistic rival with Quackity. Scar is made out of cartoon logic and Quackity HATES it.

- ElainaExE being a sort of demj god and is fighting DreamXD to let her go onto the dream smp to visit Eret and Puffy. The last two times she did that Puffy got caught in a storm and Eret died fighting ex-wither cult members. Also she’s made out of stars.

- Maidbomb terrorising people one shots uwu.

Hermitcraft DSMP Swap AU: Part 5

Etho reached out till he found TFC’s arm Then guided him across the field to a tower by the beach. “We’re going to the top,” Etho explained, letting go of TFC once they were inside. TFC heard the ladder creek with Etho’s weight and could just barely make out the invis particles ascending. He followed. Coming up to the top he was met with a perfect view of the black stone building, silhouetted by the sunset, the lava reflecting golden red and rippling on the water. 

“So what’s all this about?” TFC asked turning to look at Etho’s particles, not like Etho would be able to tell.

“I’m not a hundred percent sure... but I’ll do my best to explain,” Etho rested his hands on the edge of the tower and leaned over scanning the distance for anyone in case they had been spotted... in case TFC had been spotted. “This isn’t Hermitcraft. It is a different server. I have been watching the inhabitants. They didn’t seem like the friendliest bunch of people so I thought it was best to stay out of sight till I... and now you, I guess, can find a way back to Hermitcraft.”

“What do you mean, find a way back? Can't you just-” TFC said as he called up his HUD, pressed the button requesting access to Hermitcraft. The scanner popped up and after a moment of rummaging around in his pockets he pulled out a key card and swiped it. Everything went black for a moment as the transfer began, then the light returned. He was still standing on the tower with Etho and the text on his HUD read “You do not have permissions to leave this server.” TFC scowled and moved to try again but Etho stopped his arm. 

“Don’t bother, I’ve already tried it several times. The server won’t let us leave,” 

“Won’t let us-?” TFC began

“Shh” Ehto cut him off, letting go of his arm as he moved back to the edge of the tower. Someone was moving around in the field below. Etho squinted. It was a man in full netherite with a trident. He had what looked like a gas mask covering the lower half of his face so it was hard to tell what he looked like from here. 

“Who’s that,” TFC whispered

“I think that might be The Warden. From what I’ve overheard everyone is afraid of him, he guards the prison,” 

“So this is a prison?” TFC mused looking back at the building the sun was almost gone now and it stood like a black mark on the luminescent golden water before everything turned gray as the sun slipped out of sight. “Why would they need a prison?” He muttered “Why not just ban rule breakers?” 

“That, I don’t know. Now shh- he’s getting closer.” Etho whispered crouching down lower as if it would make a difference with invisibility.

The Warden came closer to the tower, Etho held his breath. The Warden wandered around the tower and rummaged through some of the chests. Then he looked up. Etho pulled back instinctively, but he had gotten a good look at the man. TFC didn’t move, he just stared back. The Warden looked up with black sclera, his eyes centered with white rings, his skin a mottled green. A creeper hybrid. Like Doc.

Etho moved back to the edge of the tower and watched as The Warden walked around it and waded into the water. There was a splash and a swoosh, then a thud as he landed on the roof of the tower above their heads. “Go go,” Etho hissed as quietly as he could, pushing TFC towards the ladder. 

The Warden swung down from the roof and through the window frame. Etho backed up. “There you are.” The warden said, his voice calm and low, as he locked eyes onto where Etho stood. The Warden summoned a glass of milk in his free hand and held it out “Drink this,” He commanded. 

Etho remained silent, and eyed his surroundings. The Warden was between him and the ladder, how high up were they?

“Drink this or I will kill you where you stand,” The Warden growled.

Alright, that wasn’t happening. Etho turned and climbed up on the edge of the tower.

“Don’t-” The Warden shouted. Etho felt a bolt of pain and his breath knocked out of him as the trident hit him in the back and now he was falling, the ground quickly approaching. In a split second the bucket was out, he landed with a splash, but his knees felt shaky. He had been taken down to half health. 

He staggered to his feet and jumped as another trident stuck in the ground beside him with a thunk. Then TFC was helping him stand and they were running. A splash sounded behind them as The Warden jumped down from the tower. 

“This was a warning! If I ever catch you messing around the Prison again I will hunt you down and kill you till you are completely dead.” The Warden shouted after them.

Grian started pacing. This wasn’t good. 

“Um- this is the Hermit craft server...” Scar said slowly.

“So wait... I moved between servers?” Skeppy said

“Seems like it- Grian what’s wrong?” Scar said, interrupting himself and turning to Grian mid sentence.  

Grian stopped pacing and turned to Skeppy, “I can’t really explain but I may have made a mistake and you need to go back to your own server now.” He insisted.

Skeppy frowned “I mean, I don’t mind,” He really did want to get back to Bad and his mansion “but... how exactly do I do that?” 

Scar raised his brows and looked at Grian. 

“It’s Simple, You just... Um, You... you just... click here, no, here?”  Grian began messing with his HUD, frustration growing on his face. 

“I got it,” Scar chuckled.

Grian rubbed the back of his neck with a sheepish grin, “It’s been so long, I guess I’m a bit rusty.”

“Alright, Call up your HUD,” Scar said as he moved to look over Skeppy’s shoulder so he could read the display as it popped up. “Now click here,” He said pointing, Skeppy did and a server list appeared. The Dream SMP was the only server on the list. “Click that,” Skeppy did “Now swipe your access card.”

“My what?” Skeppy stopped and turned to look at Scar.

“You’re... some fancy new servers use retina scans but... you don’t know what an access key is?” Scar furrowed his brow.

“Hey, of course I know,” Skeppy scoffed. 

“It’s kept in your secret inventory,” Grian said

“My... like my enderchest?” Skeppy trailed off looking even more confused than before. 

“Your secret inventory is a special inventory that only you or an admin can access that keeps items that are related to deep server code stuff. Like access cards that let you into invite only servers you are whitelisted on... I’m not an admin but I know a trick or two, I might be able to access yours,” Grian offered.

Skeppy folded his arms and shrugged “Sure, do whatever.” 

Grian reached out and his eyes glowed purple for a second. His pointer finger seemed to cut through space inches away from Skeppy’s face. He reached in and after some rummaging around he pulled out a very old looking skeleton key. The tear in space sealed back up and Grain’s eyes returned to their usual green. 

Grian and Scar both raised their brows and looked at each other.

Skeppy looked between them “What? What is it?” 

Grian looked at him and pursed his lips “Um Physical key’s haven’t been used by servers since, like, 1.8, and even then most servers had already converted to the keycard system. by 1.9 no one was using physical key’s anymore.” 

“Well does it matter if it’s old if it works?” Skeppy scoffed.

“I guess not,” Scar shrugged, “Give it a try.” 

Skeppy pressed the Dream SMP button on the HUD and inserted the key in the keyhole that appeared. Everything went black for a second before he found himself back standing in front of Scar and Grian, a very familiar message looking back at him from the HUD “You do not have permissions to leave this server.”

“Wait, what?” Grian started flipping Skeppy’s HUD around so he could see the message clearly, “Oh dear. That’s not good. I- I think- Um- give me a minute,” He said, starting to pace then abruptly stopping, his eyes turning purple as he made a tear in the air in front of him, and stepped through. 

Skeppy blinked at where Grian had disappeared. 

“Well you don’t see that often,” Scar chuckled nervously. 

A moment later Grian came back through the tear, his hair rumpled, “Um... We need to talk to Xisuma.” 

“Why, what's wrong?” Scar asked. 

Grian looked at him as his eyes faded back to green and the tear healed itself “The server’s leaking.”

Some more things I'd like to see in HC9:

- TFC interacting with the other hermits. I know and understand why he doesn't but I would still like for it to happen. It doesn't need to be something huge, but I feel like it would be a nice change of pace if the others could calm down enough for five seconds for that to happen :P

- Scar and Bdubs team-up. An actual team-up, not whatever rivalry-thing they had going on in s7. Just them working together and being supportive of each other.

- On that note: The Geologists team-up where they go around judging everyone's bases based on geological features (and how yummy the rocks are in Scar's case)

- More 2+-player minigames being played. I love watching them play games together.

- More ABBA caving sessions. Please Beef I need it in my life they are great and I love them. In general I would like for them to show more of the caving they do, although I completely understand why they don't.

- Superhero AU. Bring Back Poultryman 2022. Fully utilise Tango's supervillain aura. Wormman, the superhero BFF of Tango. Citizen X who just wants to build his farms but is constantly interrupted by the heroes and villains fighting and he'll be all "Do you guys mind, I'm trying not to roleplay this season"

- On that note Joe Hills can have little a supervillain arc, as a treat.

- I can't decide if I think it'd be funniest if they just... didn't acknowledge the end of S8 at all. No references to it what so ever. Was it all a dream? Was it real? No one remembers it. Until the end of S9 when goatman and renbob has to struggle to get them back into their sleeping chambers onboard the spaceship

- Team ZIT playing Hot Swap because that was a hot mess with just Zed and Tango, imagine adding Impulse to that! Honestly just more team ZIT overall would be fun. Hashtag team ZIT!

- Would honestly love to see both more Renbob and more Bob from accounting. Ren stop making such interesting side-characters (don't ever stop)

- Iskall and Mumbo end raid. I know I said it in my previous post as well but this is on the top of my wish-list so I'll mention it again.

- s8 had no flight-club, this season we bring the no fight-club. I don't know how it would work but Mumbo's peace love and plants was superinteresting last season and this way everyone can try it while limiting it to just part of the season.

- Doc and Gem to do something together. I dunno, I think it would be interesting :3

Funny au idea I came up with for hermitcraft and dream smp rn I’m calling it dreamcraft and hermit smp .

Basically it’s an au where the casts of both servers swap like tones and focuses so dreamcraft is a very wholesome build focused server and hermit smp is the balls to the walls wild rp anarchy server

It’s a vibe swap au

In dreamcraft

•Tommy’s megabase is like a giant cobblestone tower that looks like a work of modern art and took months to complete

•Tubbos starter base is a snowy cabin and his mega base is a giant bee hive

•Wilbur sells potions out of a food van in the shopping area

•dream is nice and not a evil bastard who needs to be in prison

•sapnap runs a nether and fire themed shop

•quackity sells tipped arrows and has an armor

•Tubbo sells ice

•Sam has a fuck ton of farms just a bunch and the prison is still built but it’s more artistic this time and also no one gets put in it

•bbh and skeppy are neighbors instead of like living together

•technoblade is the worst at building but he tries and he lives in a giant coliseum also he literally is online like all the time

•L’manberg doesn’t really exist but schlatt is still elected as like the president of like the shop area or whatever and Wilbur and tommy getting banished is more played for laughs and the pogtopia arce is more fun spirited

• Wilbur just changed his skin to be a ghost as a fun gag and he kinda starts building ghost themed things for the heck of it

•erets castle is like ten times more extravagant and she runs a pride themed dye shop

While the hermit smp is like

•Mumbo is paying grian child support and the grumbot thing is played completely straight and he is their son

•stress starts a drug empire and gets driven to murder

•scar gets actual nukes

•grian makes it cannon that his character is part cod and fan artist lose it

*false is really bad at roleplaying but when she dose it’s very intense

•a bunch of people reference like wars and shit and the world has a complex history that is regularly referenced

•there is a fucking mess of a relationship chart that I have yet to map out yet

•the boomers are boomer vil obviously
