right now ranboo doesnt generally have an updated boundary "list", he wants his viewers to use common sense on whether or not things should be said/done. one of his biggest boundaries is to not speak for him, and he isn't okay with shipping or sexualization.

generally if its not hurting anyone, and not weird/sexual they dont mind. He's said if there's ever a joke or anything in the community that happens that makes him uncomfortable he will speak about it, hes an adult and can speak for himself!

as for the rebrand yes i can make a post on the things he says! i can tell you in general he wants to separate from some of his old content/the community that surrounded it. this means not being associated with the dsmp and some of the previous people on it that he no longer makes content with. it also means that hes an adult now! not 16-17! so dont make a big deal out of swearing/innuendos or infantilize him in that way. I know another thing that gets old is constantly boiling them down to his identity- yes he is gay and nonbinary. no you dont have to constantly bring it up. The last thing I'll mention here that will be brought up is certain spam jokes people/chat tend to make, things like ___boo and any variants similar to that that have no substance/humor and are just annoying.

these are all things off the top of my head i can come up with from being very involved in the community! im sure there are more that he'll mention during the stream but i'll be sure to update on them if people want that ^_^

i hate twitter. it's such a stupid site filled to the brim with all the people i despise seeing. i hate going to twitter to write my silly little opinions, then staying for an hour because the algorithm kept recommending me content i know annoys me but im too invested to click off.

twitter feeds off the ability to anger people into staying on out of spite, it's a stupid platform run by a nutcase moron who unironically believes his dribble is some insightful truth. hey numbnuts, someone had the same idea as you before, then they got told they were wrong and stupid. please let the same happen to you!

i was originally going to do a stream where i rebrand my tumblr alt but i really cant be bothered, so i'll just do it soon. im gonna use this account to write my silly things and share cool things i see on the site, but my main blog is still going to be content-related updates.

thought for today: i dont know how to feel about seeing OF creators so prevalent in social media. like, theyre really present on instagram reels, and sometimes on tiktok too. should they be? should we be promoting and advertising sex work on platforms with plurality/majority minor audiences? i mean, i really love how sex work has been destigmatised to the point where we can normalise the concept of working sex, but i still don't really know how to feel about adult content being promoted on spaces with a large under 18 audience. idk. one thing is for sure, those DM bots suck. i hate getting dm's being told about how "she's just turned 18!" There's so many misinterpretations of what I said here. It seems like a lot of people just had a knee-jerk reaction to certain words and didn't think about the actual meaning. I didn't say that Dan exaggerated his struggles. I said he exaggerated how deep in the closet he was, as in how many people he was out to. Specifically referring to interviews he did post-BIG where he made it sound like he wasn't out to a single person. I think it does make sense that he meant he wasn't out as specifically gay, but that's not what someone who doesn't know his history would assume. I'm gonna be totally honest, even though I know it's probably going to get people mad at me again. Post-BIG, during the solo-Dan/WAD era, it seemed like the narrative was constantly shifting. So much that it was hard to know what's true and what's not. Was Dan completely closeted or did his close friends know he wasn't straight? Did Dan not accept that he was attracted to men at all before 2018, or did he accept it, but struggle with the specific label? Was Dan not with any men pre-coming out or was he living as a gay man in private? The answer seems to change depending on the intended audience.

I definitely don't think that Dan exaggerated his internalized-homophobia, or how much harassment and bullying he received, or lied about anything he said in BIG, but he has obfuscated the truth since then. I think part of that might be because he was trying to rebrand himself and attract a certain audience (specifically, young adult gay men) and another is that he was trying to direct people's attention away from his relationship with Phil. Both personal and professional. I definitely put more stock in what Dan said in BIG than the things he's said in random interviews. Anyway I'm gonna stop causing discourse on your blog. Sorry.

I agree with you that often times things that dan says in interviews are confusing and can be misinterpreted. however in my personal opinion, just based on what ive observed, I don't think it's necessarily intentional. I honestly think he just speaks without thinking and puts his foot in his mouth a lot lol. I don't think that he necessarily purposely changes his answers to questions based on the audience, I think he's just a tiny bit pretentious and likes to come up with superfluous ways to say things. often times that gets confusing and gives a lot of different interpretations to what he says

I looked through a handful of interviews he did post coming out and I didn't ever see him say that he wasn't out to anyone at all as a queer man; he talked a lot about struggling with labeling himself as gay, and the fact that it weighed on him that he wasn't out to his audience. he did mention in one article coming out to his family "and friends" but that doesn't necessarily imply that he was in the closet to all his friends (fyi just bc I didn't see him say that doesn't mean an interview like that doesn't exist, I just got tired of looking I went though like 6 articles haha)

I completely agree that to an outsider, they might assume he wasn't out at all and not a soul knew he liked men. but personally, im not sure that it was a necessity for him to clarify that in the interviews, or at all. the point of all the interviews was that he was finally living authentically as himself and that he was able to be comfortable labeling himself as gay—there's no real reason for him to tack on "oh also when I say that I was closeted, I mean that I didn't label myself as gay but this list of 15 people knew I was dating a man," you know? that's not the point he was trying to make

Hi langblr community I'm new.

Or well. Not so new. I've run this blog for a while when I was 16/17 but that was 5 years ago. I've done a small little rebrand and everythign n want to try getting back into the community a little cuz it was very fun back in the day :D

I'm a native German speaker but im pretty much fluent in both English and French, have an N4(A2-B1) knowledge of Japanese, am A2-B1 in Portuguese (though I haven't used that in such a long while I can't rlly apply jt myself but I understand a lot!!!), and Russian A1.2!!! (I also did some Spanish back in middle school but oh god I do not remmever anything at all-)

I'm a Literature Major at university who also minors in Japanese Studies!

I don't yet know what kine of content I'll do since my notes aren't the most aesthetic n I tend to be a little messy in general, but maybe you'll get some kanji scribbles or sth!!! Maybe I'll post about thr books I'm reading also.

Atm I'm actively focusing on Japanese since I'm reaching N3 level pretty soon at this rate, and on russian, since I'm taking a language course for it at uni.

hi everyone! so um. yeah im rebranding.

there's quite a few reasons why I've done this, but mainly I've done it because I've not been fully honest on this blog. I was a witch, and I do believe in magic, but I deliberately misled people into thinking I was an adult. I am not. I am almost 16. I realize now how this is gross and oversteps some people's boundaries. I have been practicing for many years and have a lot of experience, but I am not an adult. I'm genuinely sorry.

I've also made the decision to convert to Judaism. I cannot do this immediately because I live in a Christian household where my religious beliefs will be seen as an extension of religious trauma and I will not be supported through the conversion. I've made the decision to find a synagogue and other resources when I go to college. For now, I am only observing Shabbat by myself and following a couple of Jewish blogs.

what about your witchy content?

It's a hotly debated topic in the Jewish community on whether magic is allowed. There is evidence of divination in the Torah, but magic is also prohibited in it. I will be cutting down drastically on my magic until I can talk to a rabbi. From now on, you can expect:

- logs of what I do on Shabbat

- cartomancy readings

- Jewish resources and books I am reading while waiting to convert

- etc.

I AM NOT YET FULLY JEWISH.
