What Order Should I Hire My Wedding Vendors In?
Tumblr media
Weddings are the work of a giant team of creative professionals all working together to make your dreams a reality.  So, after you determine your wedding budget and choose your wedding style, the ultimate step in the wedding planning process begins:  hiring trustworthy, reputable wedding vendors to carry out your vision. But, who do you hire first? The big decisions will effect the small decisions so following the schedule will ease your stress in the end. To help you with the process we’ve outlined the best order to book your wedding vendors in from start to finish.
We like to categorize wedding vendors into two categories: those that can serve one bride per day and those that can serve multiple brides per day. The number of clients they can serve in a day effects how soon you should book these vendors along the process because if a company can only serve one bride per day, you want to get your date confirmed with them first.  Plus, one decision may effect the next.
Tumblr media
Following are wedding vendors who typically serve one wedding per day.
1 – Wedding Planner (12 months in advance):
You should choose your wedding planner first to reserve your date on their calendar and have their guidance during the entire wedding planning process.  From the beginning to the end, your wedding planner will be your experienced counsel for every vendor interview, contract, and scheduling question. Don’t feel like you can’t do anything before hiring your wedding coordinator. While you’re interviewing and deciding, you can still start to do research on venues and take tours, but we don’t suggest booking anything until your wedding planner can review a contract with you.
What if you only have the budget for a month-of wedding planner?  That’s okay.  You’ll still want to book them in advance to reserve your day and it’s likely you can pay them an hourly fee leading up to your wedding if you need help with vendor contract reviews or have other questions.
Tumblr media
2 – Wedding Venue (12 months in advance):
The most obvious reason to book your wedding venue next is to reserve your date. If you live in a popular metro area, event venues will likely be booked for weddings up to one, maybe two years, in advance.  Getting on the calendar sooner than later will take a huge level of stress off of your shoulders.
Secondly, your wedding venue will eat up the bulk of your wedding budget.  Knowing how much money you will be spending on the venue, will give you a remaining amount of budget to work with.
And lastly,  the style of your wedding venue will effect the overall style of your wedding.  Whether you choose a glamorous ballroom or countryside barn – everything from your wedding dress, flowers to music selection will be effected.
Ceremony Plans.  This is when you should also decide what your ceremony plans are too.  Will you be married at a separate location (like a church) or will your wedding ceremony take place at the same venue as your wedding reception?  Who will perform the ceremony?
3 – Photographer and Videographer (11 months in advance):
We suggest the third vendor to hire for your wedding is your wedding photographer and wedding videographer. Why?  Because these are most often single person (or small teams) of creative professionals that work one wedding per day. Much of why you’ll hire them is based off of loving their style and loving their pricing even more, so once you find your match – make it official by signing the contract. Don’t let your date get booked by another bride!
4 – Band or DJ (11 months in advance):
While you might not think about entertainment for your wedding reception at this stage of the game, you should!  Your Band or DJ is a perfect example of a wedding vendor who can only service 1 wedding per day.  If you have your heart set on a specific band, or love the energy of the DJ you saw at your friend’s wedding – book them now.  This goes for ceremony musicians too.
5 – Wedding Dress (11 months in advance):
Once you decide on where you will get married and where the reception will be, it’s time to go dress shopping! Unless you opt for a store like David’s Bridal, most bridal stores will need to place the order for your dress from the dress designer at least 10 months in advance.
Bridal Party.  Along with the wedding dress, pick out bridesmaid dresses and what the groom and groomsmen will wear.  We recommend picking out and ordering the Groom’s menswear at least six months out.
6 – Hair and Makeup (9 months in advance):
Chances are you are as thick as thieves with your hair dresser and have your cut and color pre-booked every time you leave the salon, and for good reason!  A talented hair stylist is coveted by many and hard to get in with.  But does your stylist do bridal updos?  Many don’t. And if you think your hair girl gets booked, just imagine what the schedule of a top bridal hair stylist and and wedding makeup artist looks like.  Busy.  Your beauty vendors will likely only be able to serve one full bridal party per Saturday. So, book them sooner than later.
Tumblr media
Following are wedding vendors who can serve multiple weddings in a weekend.
7 –  Caterer (8 months in advance):
If your venue does not offer onsite catering, its time to hire an offsite caterer to feed your guests.  During this time you will review their menus, read customer testimonials and brainstorm on setups like buffets, plated or stations and maybe even have a tasting.
8 – Floral and Decor (8 months in advance):
Next up are wedding flowers.  At eight months in advance you have a good amount of time to get on the schedule for the best wedding florist in your area and brainstorm with them on what the vision of your wedding is.
9 – Wedding Cake (6-8 months in advance):
While a wedding cake baker can serve multiple weddings in a weekend, chances are they can’t serve an endless amount.  So, we say get on the schedule in advance by signing the wedding cake contract.  Again, it’s likely you’ll have your tasting a bit later in the process, but reserving your spot in their weekend schedule ahead of time will make sure you get the cake baker you like the best.
10 – Invitations (6-8 months in advance):
Time to talk invitations and stationery. If you would like to send out save the dates, you’ll want to choose your stationery designer eight months in advance.
If a couple is sending out save the dates, then those need to be sent out six months before the wedding.  In that case, the stationer should be hired at least two months prior to that date in order have time to pick something out, do proofs, have them printed and addressed.
For invitations only, a bride should start to look at her options six months out as the standard is that invitations should be mailed out at least eight weeks prior to the wedding date.”
11 – Transportation (4 months in advance):
While this may seem like a last minute reservation, you may change your mind after reading what Kirkley Hennessey, owner of Hennessey Transportation has to say.  “We typically ask brides and grooms to have their wedding transportation arrangements booked at least 3-4 months in advance. This allows the company they choose to reserve the fleet equipment without any issues.
As that is a suggestion, I personally feel it’s best to contract this service as soon as they know what they need. Whether it’s just a getaway car or an entire manifest of guest travel, the sooner the better for all parties. A lot of times they know they need transportation, but they are not certain what exactly they’re looking for. A lot of times when they contact us they realize what a helpful experience it can be as we can identify and suggest services needed and provide pricing all on one phone call.
Something to note:  if your wedding is ever in April, and you absolutely want a limousine, book the day you got engaged! Prom season always derails brides.”
Other items that will need to get decided on and completed about a month out:
Obtain your marriage license, please pick out your wedding march song, get your wedding bands and get your engagement ring cleaned, finalize transportation to and from wedding and reception, count your RSVP’s and finalize numbers with all your caterer.

The Identity of Iggy Milkovich
This is dedicated to all the Iggy fans
Iggy and Mickey were sitting at the kitchen table going through an old shoe box of filled with fake ID cards. When Mickey was meeting with a potential victim, or client, of his moving business the lady told him they had to get her ex husband’s shit out before her wedding this weekend. Rich lady wedding means rich ass presents and Svetlana has been nagging him for a new microwave.
“How about Igor?” Iggy asks holding up an ID.
“The plumber? Naw, no one is going to hire a plumber the day of f their wedding. How about Ignatius?”
“He’s got like three warrants out for his arrest,” Iggy shakes his head. Ignatius has been such a problem child recently.
Ian walks in. It’s the afternoon but he’s been sleeping most of day after coming home from the club.
“What are you two doing?” He asks filling a glass with orange juice.
“Trying to find the right identity for Igs to use for crashing a wedding,” Mickey informs his boyfriend.
“I’ve collected a lot of personas over the years working in the family business,” Iggy says proudly.
“Huh, what is your real name?”
Mickey and Iggy stare at each other. Trying to remember if their mom used to call him something other than Iggy. Mickey knows his dad sometimes calls him Iggy the Ignorant.
“I think it’s just Iggy?” Mickey slowly answers.
“You think?” Ian questions.
“I haven’t used Ignacio in a while. He’s currently unemployed so I can probably get him hired as a day worker for a vendor,” Iggy says, he’s unfazed by the fact he doesn’t know his legal name.
“Oh,” Mickey snaps his fingers. “Get a job as a cater waiter and then you can bring home dinner too.”
The brothers high five and Mandy walks in.
“What are you two idiots celebrating?” Mandy asks taking the half drunken glass of OJ from Ian’s hand and taking a sip.
“I think Ignacio has a job,” Ian tells his best friend. “Do you know know Iggy’s real name?”
“When I was little they told me it was Iggosaur.”
“And you believed them?” Ian asks is disbelief.
“I was like four,” Mandy defends.
“But you believed it til you were fucking twelve,” Mickey teases.
“Shut up, I assumed it was Ukrainian.”
“Then we told her it was Iggothy,” Iggy adds.
Ian looses it. Iggothy is the best name he’s ever heard.
“Have you ever considered Iggothan? How about Igchard, Igliam?” Ian can come up with Iggy puns all day.

Meeting Marshall Mathers
Tumblr media
Author’s Note : Hi guys 💕. I’ve been thinking about ways a potential Reader might meet the one and only Marshall Mathers. Maybe for future one shots. Enjoy these little prompts ! 😉 If you’re a writer yourself and decide to use one of these, tag me !
Meet cute
* The two of you live in the same neighborhood. You meet while walking your dogs, and the two of them absolutely adore each other !
* You go to an Eminem meet and greet and he recognizes you from some viral TikTok you did of one of his songs.
* You’re a model and you end up booking a job for a music video. You find out on the day of that it’s Eminem… and that he’s the one who personally chose you !
* You’re a vendor for the wedding of one of his daughters.
* You’re an interior designer and you are hired for the renovation of one room. He ends up hiring you so to the whole house. Not because it needs it. But because he needs an excuse to see you.
* One of his friends follows you on Instagram. Marshall sees you on his friend’s phone and asks them to set up a blind date.
* You’re rapping one of Marshall’s song in your car… before noticing that he’s in the car next to yours.
Meet Ugly
* Marshall adopted a dog he attempts to train, but the « beast » attacks you.
* Your husband cheats on you with his girlfriend. You meet when you both have the same plan to follow your partner to the hotel room they booked.
* Your daughter is in the same class as one of his. You meet when you’re called into the principal’s office because the girls had a fight.
* The two of you are set up on a blind date. Marshall shows up late and you berate him for it.
* You have a fender bender and you insult him and his gaudy, ridiculous luxury car.
* You’re at a party with friends and he overhears you bashing one of his tracks or albums.
* You’re dating a rapper he has beef with, who name-dropped Hailie in a song. So Marshall name-dropped you.
* It’s 2007 and you’re a nurse at the rehab center Marshall enters after his overdose.
* Someone breaks into your new house and you run to your neighbor’s for help in nothing but a towel. Turns out… Marshall’s your neighbor.
* It’s in the early 2000s. Marshall is wasted and gets in a bar fight. He throws a punch to someone but accidentally knocks you out.
* You meet at a football game. He supports the Lions. You’re cheering for the 49ers.
* You work at a venue he performs at and his bodyguard mistakes you for a fan who broke in and attempts to throw you out.
* Stuck in an elevator and you have a panic attack.
* There is some mix up at a hotel you’re staying at and he’s given a key to your suite instead of his. You meet when he walks in on you in your underwear.
* Some luggage confusion happens at the airport. You end up with each others suitcase and have to meet to do the exchange.

James Potter as Wedding Planner
The first wedding James planned was for his parents. He got sad that he wasn't here for his parents' wedding, genuinely heartbroken, so much that Monty and Effie decides to renew their vows.
James is screaming in happiness for weeks when they tell him he can help plan but they quickly lets him plan the whole wedding because James is so invested. He is only 10/11 y.o when it happens but they explain him everything and lets him deal with vendors and everything, helping him when needed but James is so excited about it that they let him go crazy. James is handed tons of wedding magazines and he even asks his parents if they can go to weddings to check and judge them (he will sneak out and take pictures and all).
He decides on the decoration, goes food and cake tasting, picks where to celebrate the wedding and events with his parents literally just here to watch him do so. Imagine a child looking up at the baker with the most disappointed face: 'I asked for lemon and raspberry not lemon and strawberry'.
Everything that James wants, happens because Effie and Monty can't say no, and have enough money for a hundred of weddings, but James puts a lot of care for the wedding to be pleasant for them and they are surprised at how thoughtful he is at his age.
James grows with huge binders full of ideas for weddings after the fantastic wedding he planned for his parents, with many of their family's friends asking 'who did you hire for such a beautiful event' and Effie & Monty will just smile and point at their son sitting at the children's table.
Naturally, he grows even more romantic and fond of weddings which brings James to become a wedding planner. Once he sees Sirius & Remus dynamic, you know he starts a binder for their future wedding and giggles while doing so.
Not many people takes him seriously because James doesn't look like the romantic type at first, more like a jock with a unserious face, but he absolutely slays.

The Hunter
The following morning, she bought a one way pass to Alderaan.
There wasn’t really a reason to stay on Nevarro anyway, since she was merely there in passing. But it frustrated her to no end that her mother was so willing to hire a bounty hunter within days. Leave it to Calista of Senex to just know her daughter wasn’t taken against her will —to simply know she left on her own accord.
Perhaps her mother should have taken that as a sign that her daughter wouldn’t have wanted to go through with the wedding. A sign that this whole thing was a bad idea. But then, Callista was not someone who thought of others' wants and needs. Not unless they better served her.
The carrier to Alderaan didn’t leave for several hours, however, and she was stuck in Nevarro —stuck with a Mandalorian —until then. As long as she laid low, and didn’t get herself In trouble, she would be fine. And she hadn’t found any trouble in the time that she had been away from Senex —how hard could it be?
*****
As it turns out, the answer was very hard.
It was very hard to stay out of trouble.
It was as if every time she turned a corner, there he was, searching the crowd for her. And every time, she turned on her heel to walk the other way. Maybe he knew she was there. Maybe this was part of his thing —playing cat and mouse with his quarry before he just snatched her up.
She wasn’t going to be caught by him. She wasn’t going back. He’d have to kill her before she let him truck her back to Senex, back down that aisle. Maker help her, her mother would have to hire him to stand guard at the wedding so she didn’t run again. Because she wasn’t going back.
Slipping down an alleyway, she ducked behind a vendor stall and pretended to peruse the fruits available. She didn’t have much longer before her carrier was set to leave, all she needed to do was get around him and to the station. Then she’d have a bit of a head start on him.
“Hey! You gotta pay for that!”
She dropped the fruit in her hand, confused because she wasn’t stealing. She was just looking! But when she looked up, he wasn’t even looking at her. He was looking at the floor of the stall. Unable to help herself, she stepped closer and followed the vendor’s gaze.
Babbling, holding the fruit to its little mouth, was the most unusual —but possibly the cutest —child she had ever seen. It didn’t seem overly concerned about being scolded by the vendor, though as he reached down to snatch the fruit, she quickly stepped between the two.
“Here,” she offered, holding out some credits with a polite smile. “Let me pay for his snack.”
The vendor gave her a wary look, but didn’t care enough to argue as he snatched the money from her and walked off. She turned to look down at the child now, then kneeled down in front of him.
“Stealing is wrong, you know,” she softly scolded, but she had a smile on her face. “You’re lucky I was here. Now where are your parents?”
The child finished his fruit, cooing excitedly as he reached his hands up. She looked around a moment, seeing if there was anyone else nearby. No frantic mothers or fathers seemingly were searching for the child, and she couldn’t very well leave him there. It just went against everything in her, to leave a child alone like this. So, probably against her better judgment, she took the little one in her arms and lifted him up and rested him on her hip.
“You seem like a trouble maker, little one,” she commented, earning a happy little babble in response.
As she stepped out of the stall and looked around the crowds, the vendor pushed her out of the doorway and slammed it behind her. She glanced over her shoulder and huffed in frustration, shaking her head. When she turned back around, she caught the eye —or well, visor —of the man hunting her down.
“Shit.”
*****
Mando had stopped looking for the girl about an hour after getting off the ship. He didn’t exactly intend to stop —however, the kid decided that he wanted to be a problem and when Mando turned around, Grogu was not in his crib. And now Mando was searching Nervarro for his kid, not his quarry.
Honestly, if he focused hard enough, he could probably find both her and the kid without any issues. But Grogu was still a target for Gideon, and he couldn’t focus on anything besides finding his son. He had to. The quarry could wait —he had a month. His kid didn’t.
But after an hour and half, he was getting antsy. The kid wasn’t anywhere to be found, and he had been searching every inch of the market with no luck. That little monster had made him question everything he was good at in such a short amount of time, if only by being nothing but trouble. It would be the death of him.
Mando pushed out of another stall, stopping for a moment to scan the crowd once more. As the people slowly started to thin out, move out of the way, he caught a glimpse of green across the market —high off the ground. For a second, Mando almost panicked but the child was giggling happily, and the woman holding him was speaking to him as Grogu turned back to the crowd; to Mando. And she followed the gaze, only to tense up immediately.
She stared directly at him, eyes wide as Grogu reached up to touch her face. But her lips moved —and while Mando wasn’t great at reading lips, he knew when someone was cursing. And she was cursing, frozen in place as they locked eyes. The kid turned to follow her gaze, now reaching out to him with those grabby little hands he always did when Mando was too far away.
Her brow furrowed as she looked down at the child, who was pushing himself from her arms and finding himself on the ground again.
“Wait, no, no,” she called after him, reaching out. And whatever fear that had made her freeze in front of Mando was gone as she chased after his child. “You can’t run off by yourself! You almost got flogged for stealing!”
Mando stalked forward now, eyes on her and her only as she scooped up the kid in her arms again. Grogu whined, reaching out to him as she slowly came to a stop in front of the bounty hunter. His helmet tilted down, just slightly, looking down at the child as Grogu reached out to him.
“I…,” but she trailed off, slowly letting the child transfer from her arms to Mando’s. “I paid for his snack.”
Through his visor, he glanced up at her, finally noting the color of her eyes. They were warm, tear rimmed as she knew she had been caught. The sight tugged at his heartstrings, but he knew better. This was a job; she was a quarry. Didn’t matter how upset she was; how close to tears she may be. But he couldn’t look away from her.
“He was stealing from the vendor. I…I didn’t want him to get in trouble,” she explained further, keeping her eyes on the child in his arms. “I assume he’s trouble.”
“He is.”
Finally, her eyes snapped up to look into his helmet. Most people settled on his forehead, or even his chin. But she caught his eye without even trying, just staring up at him with tears in her eyes.
“How much are they paying you to bring me home?”
“More than you have.”
“You don’t know that.”
“Thirty-five.”
She let out a huff, shaking her head. “I have twenty.”
Mando almost took it. He almost took what she had, let her go. He didn’t know why they wanted her back. It wasn’t in his job to ask questions like that. But the way she stared up at him —eyes watery with unshed tears, trembling as she reached up to run her thumb over the baby’s cheek. It pulled at something even deeper in him that he didn’t like.
“Would twenty be enough to just…kill me, instead?”
He thanked the stars for his helmet, because her request threw him off entirely. He’d never had a quarry ask to be killed. The kid in his arms whined again but Mando squeezed him gently to quiet him down.
“No. You’re to be returned alive.”
She nodded solemnly, as if she had accepted her fate. “I can’t outrun you, can I?”
“You can try. But it won’t last very long.”
She considered his answer before nodding once.
“If I go willingly, are you going to put me in carbonite?”
He hesitated a moment, though to her it was just him staring at her in silence. For a second, he considered his options. Maybe he wouldn’t give up his bounty, but she seemed aware enough of the consequences if she fought back.
“No. I won’t.”
His tone was stern; threatening without actually saying it. He could give her a little more breathing room before being returned to Senex and whatever waited there. But for the trip there, he would be nice.
Just this once.
Because she was nice to the kid.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yul knew something was wrong with you the second you refused his request to meet up 5 days ago. It was times like these that he wished he could speed up the preparations for your marriage and just be able to see you at any time he wished as your husband. But for another 4 months, he would still be confined to the frustrating but precious title of fiancé.
Due to his studying and teaching at Jeongjingak, he hadn’t seen you in longer than he would have liked. It was bordering on almost 2 weeks and Yul was rarely the clingy of you two. If he was feeling the effects of missing you so greatly that it was hard to even focus on his work, he wondered how much worse it was for you.
You had as busy a schedule as him, mostly because of your decision to take on all the preparations for your weddings single-handedly. He knew you wanted it to be as perfect as possible. You had been dreaming of this day since you were little. Now that you had found the perfect man, you needed to plan the perfect ceremony as well. From the flowers, location, food, ceremony, afterparty, and even attire, you were responsible for planning it all.
Yul had always admired how big a dreamer you were. You had fantasies and aspirations and always worked incredibly hard to complete them. And while he was hard-working and book smart, logistical and artistic planning had never been his strong suit. He was lacking in many ways, and watching you work reminded him of it every day.
Or he would have been able to watch you, if you hadn’t been seemingly avoiding his presence for over twelve days now. It was a perfectly sunny afternoon and Yul had finished all his work early. There was absolutely no excuse for him to not come to see you— even the weather was encouraging him to pay you a visit. He knew you were probably cooped up in your room, writing a million letters to all the vendors and designers you had hired for the wedding. It would benefit you greatly to get outside.
The sounds of shouting and subsequent rushing of footsteps was definitely not what Yul had anticipated hearing as he walked up to your home. One of the maids seemed to rush out of the house in a panic, her eyes widening and her face growing hot out of embarrassment once her eyes landed on Seo Yul.
“Master Seo! Oh, goodness, you should not be here right now— If Miss. L/n finds out she’ll only panic more—”
“Why is she panicking?” Yul interrupted the maid’s hurried jumble of words, concern growing every second he didn’t know what was going on. He had only been gone from you for twelve days; what possibly could have happened in that time? Before he even got an answer from the maid, he was already making his way towards the front door, unable to wait a second longer to figure out what was wrong.
“M-master Seo, please!” The poor maid scurried along after him, warning him to not go into the house. Yul seemed to be conveniently deaf to her pleading. As soon as he stepped in, he realized why he might not have been wanted at this particular moment.
Dozens of fabrics were… well, everywhere. On every surface, scattered on the floor, and even some stuck hanging from the walls. Yul’s concern grew, as well as his utter confusion and astonishment at how the house could have gotten this messy.
He followed the sounds of distress until he reached the doorway to your room— exactly what he expected. A harsh shout for everyone to get out sounded, and the silence that followed was almost deafening. Yul waited just outside in almost frozen shock, registering that the shout must have come from your mouth. Never in his life had he heard you shout. You barely ever got angry. A row of servants quickly filed out of the room, each bowing their head in shame.
Yul breathed out heavily, considering whether it would be wise for him to just leave now and not bother you. The last thing he wanted was for him to make you more upset, especially if you felt like you needed to be alone. But he couldn’t bear to leave when he could just make out your broken sobs and sniffles from the closed door. It was the most heartbreaking sound he had ever heard.
He slowly slid the door open a little to peek inside the room, being as quiet as possible in order to not startle you. The room was as messy as the rest of the house— extravagant fabrics strewn all over the floor and tables. You were sitting in the middle of the room, hunched over yourself. Yul noticed that you were dressed in a particularly elegant white hanbok dress that draped over your figure perfectly.
“Y/n? What’s wrong?” He spoke as softly as he possibly could, making sure he didn’t make the situation worse. He wanted to help lessen your tears, not create more. His soft approach seemed to have the opposite effect that he wanted, though. As soon as you heard him, you startled and turned around quickly. Upon laying eyes on him, your sobs only got worse and you immediately hid your face. Yul’s heart sank.
“Love? Tell me what happened.” He coaxed, kneeling down next to you, placing a hesitant hand on your shoulder. He could feel how tense you were, but also how you softened ever so slightly once you felt his touch. He felt relieved that he didn’t seem entirely unwelcome. “Can I help at all?”
“No! It’s— it’s all ruined, Yul! W-we should have never tried in the first place!” You cried, heartbroken, and Yul frowned again. He pulled you closer to him, wrapping his strong arms around you in a safe embrace. It was clear that he wouldn’t get an answer to what started this mess until you had calmed down a bit. He stroked your back and softly shushed your sobs, waiting patiently for your crying to subside a little. When it finally did and your face was dryer, he pulled away from the hug slightly and pressed a kiss to your forehead.
“Can you tell me what’s wrong now, love?”
You nodded, eyes focusing on a certain spot on the floor as you started explaining in a mumble, “It’s stupid, but… Since I can’t make my own dress, I wanted to get it from this particular dressmaker. But with our wedding in 4 months, they won’t have it ready in time.” You looked up at him again to gauge his reaction, your eyes watering again as you tried to go on.
“I tried the other dresses, but they’re just not the same. I just wanted to look pretty for you, and now— now it’s impossible.” Your face crumbled again as you gripped the current dress you were wearing, looking like you wanted to shred it to pieces.
“What do you mean it’s impossible? You always look pretty to me.” Yul said simply, cupping your face in his hands and brushing away some of the new tears that had escaped. He offered you a soft smile, something that would help reassure you that everything was okay.
“I get that this… dress is important to you. You want to wear it more than anything, right?” He asked quietly. Knowing you and how long you had looked forward to getting married, he knew you had probably planned your dream wedding since you were little. It seemed as if you had had your eyes on this particular dress for years now.
You nodded, “If I had more time, I could order the fabrics myself and sew it… But I can’t. This dressmaker has the best fabrics. You know I know everything about fabric— it’s really important for the design. It just won’t work with anything else.” You sighed, seemingly more relaxed about the situation now, but still disheartened.
“Did you design the dress yourself?” Yul questioned. You had always been interested in textiles, and picked it up as your main hobby for most of your life. Most of your wardrobe was made up of your own designs, and you had even designed some pieces for him. Each design was so detailed and stunning; Yul thought you were better than any other designer he had seen.
“Yes. Songrim doesn’t have good seamstresses, Yul. They’ll mess it up, I know they will. This was supposed to be a mockup, but it’s completely different from my original design.” You gestured to the dress you were wearing right now. Yul looked at it again, trying to figure out what you thought was so wrong with it. It looked beautiful to his eyes, but he knew next to nothing about garments.
“We could always… postpone the wedding?” He offered, his smile not quite reaching his eyes. He had already waited so long for this that waiting even longer seemed like torture. But he knew you cared more about the wedding than he did, and he would do anything if it made you happy.
“But… You wanted to get married before Spring.” You reminded him, heart sinking at the thought of postponing the wedding. It was even worse than not being able to wear your dress. It was clear that you would have to sacrifice one or the other.
“I’ll just pick a different design.” You whispered. “Mine was too complicated to complete in 3 months anyway…”
“Are you sure?” Yul’s worry reached his voice, and though you didn’t feel quite sure about the decision now, you knew it would all turn out good enough. It didn’t need to be absolutely perfect, sometimes good enough was something you had to accept.
“I’ll save the design. Our daughter can wear it at her own wedding. I’ll make it for her myself.” You spoke, your smile growing as you thought of the idea.
Yul raised an eyebrow, “Our daughter?”
You glanced back at him, “I know you want one.”
He nodded, his face growing a little flushed, “I-I do, but we’ve… never… talked about it before.”
You laughed, “Well, we just did.” You kissed his lips before any more flustered words could come out of them. Despite the disaster that Yul had found you in, and the fact that the situation was still partially unresolved, the kiss made everything feel okay again. You sighed in content at being able to feel his soft lips against yours. Twelve days had really been far too long.
Your hands found their way into his soft brown hair, threading it through your fingers as the kiss went on. His hand cupped your jaw and his thumb stroked your cheek gently as you finally let all the stress of the afternoon panic leave your body. You giggled when you broke apart, your eyes shining with pure love as you looked at your betrothed. His hair had gotten messy from your fingers and his face was flushed as it always was after a long kiss. But he looked so content and at peace, and you savoured knowing that you brought Yul some rare serenity that he had seldom had the luxury of experiencing in the past few years.
“I can’t wait to call you mine.” You confessed, basking in the silent eye contact that Yul gave you. His eyes seemed to hold a million different emotions, all of them professing his undying love for you.
“You know that I already am, love.” He whispered back, pressing his lips to your temple forehead one more time to complete the statement.

The next morning, you’ve convinced Kendall to go home and rest. At least, you’d thought you did, until he showed up at your front door.
“I told you to go home, Ken. Take a nap.”
“This is better,” he murmurs back, dragging you to bed and curling into you after pulling the covers over him. “I didn’t sleep at all, and Marcia wouldn’t let anyone go sit with Dad…”
You sigh, sitting up, and he readjusts, settling into your stomach. Your fingers comb through his hair in an attempt at being soothing. “Have you eaten at all? Since last night, this morning?” His breathing evens out. “Ken?”
You peer down. His eyes were shut, lips parted, the beginning of a snore falling from his lips.

As horrible as you’d felt doing it, you had to leave Kendall asleep in your bed with a kiss on the forehead. You’d made your way downstairs and unlocked the bakery’s front door and waited for Connor and Willa to arrive. In a lazy haze, you’d thrown the sweater of Kendall’s you’d clung to the night before. When the bell finally tinkled, you pasted a smile onto your face and waved the couple over. Surprisingly enough, you can see why they both work together well. Connor is loud, outspoken, and Willa balances him out with her quiet thoughtfulness. She flips through a catalog of desserts that you offer to cater, soft smile on her face while Connor rambles about how the flower vendors won’t respond to him about overseas work.
“Maybe just hire a Croatian vendor,” you suggest. “I’ve heard it’s cheaper anyway.” Willa hums approvingly at the thought, while Connor frowns.
“It needs to be perfect, though.”
“Who’s to say Croatia won’t be perfect?” Willa asks, continuing to look through the catalog. “I really don’t mind, Con. They’re only flowers, and as long as I have a bouquet I like…”
“We’ll talk about it later,” he says stiffly.
Desperate for a change of subject, you ask, “Anything catch your eye?”
Willa smiles up at you. “It all looks amazing.”
“Any favorite sweets? I’m sure I have them. And if I don’t, I’d be more than happy to write out a recipe.”
Willa flips back to a bookmarked page. “I love red velvet cake…”
At that, you get up and bring back a tray of sample cakes from your kitchen. “Try as much as you’d like! Do you happen to have inspiration photos for your cake? Just so I can start practicing.”
Excitedly, she pulls out her phone, and the two of you pore over her Pinterest boards. Connor doesn't involve himself in the conversation, seemingly dazed. She tries bits of all the cakes you’d baked for her, forcing her fiance to take bites with her.
“I don’t know how you do it, Miss, but you’ve made me like carrot cake.”
“You can call me Y/N, really. And I’m glad you enjoy it! That’s the goal. It’s your wedding- choose a cake that makes you happy.”
“I still think my favorite is red velvet,” Willa says, turning to eye Connor, who just nods. “And that one design I showed you… the three tiers? Can you do that?”
You jot down a description of the cake she’s talking about. “Of course I can. I’ll make a bunch of prototypes and have you come in and see them over the next few months. You can also just make a list of other desserts you want, and we’ll be good to go.”
“Oh, and don’t even worry about flying yourself out. We’ll cover all of that.
“You don’t need to-”
“No, no, we will,” Willa insists, nudging Connor.
“I’ll pay for your flight and hotel,” he says, snapping out of his trance. “It’s the least I can do. And I’m including Kendall in that.” He pauses. “Is he alright?”
“Sleeping,” you say carefully. “Why, what’s the matter?”
“I mean, I know you know. About Dad.”
“I was sorry to hear about it. Let me know if you ever need anything, okay?”
“We got into a massive fight, about me proposing. I don’t… I don’t know if he wants to see me.”
You chew at your lip. “He’s… not conscious, that I know of. I think it’s best you go see him, the doctor, your siblings.” You catch Willa’s eyes.
“I’ll make sure he goes,” she says. “Thank you. I’ll email over the menu?”
“Of course.” You clasp her hand in a loose shake, then Connor’s, in a much firmer one “Feel free to stop by whenever. You’re always welcome.”
They leave, and you make your way back upstairs, locking the bakery back up. You peer into your room, Kendall still sprawled out in your bed. You think he’s asleep until he calls out to you.
“Where’ve you been?” His eyes are still closed, head buried in his pillow. You go to sit by him.
“Connor’s consult.” Without opening his eyes, his arm reaches out to you, searching. You scoot closer, and he finds your waist, pulling you closer and settling his head into your stomach, just like this morning. “Come on, you should eat something.”
“Mm, I’m okay here.” The tension in his shoulders and back eases when your hand goes to sit in between his shoulder blades. You scratch gently, and he sighs. “Actually, do you have breakfast?”
“I made eggs, but I think they’re cold. I can reheat them, though. Or, I think there’s tarts in the fridge?”
“Tarts for breakfast?” he asks, pushing himself up and giving you a kiss.
“Why not? Life is short.” Sitting next to you now, he tugs on the fabric of your sweater.
“Thief,” he says, grinning.
“What? I was cold.”
“I like it. Looks good on you.” He kisses your neck before getting out of bed, tugging his shirt off and tossing it to you. “Keep that one, too. I’m going to take a shower. I think I was drooling.” You watch, not even suppressing your smile, as he makes his way into the bathroom. Regardless of how much he downplayed himself, the slight ripple of the muscles in his back made you giddy. “Quit staring.”

The next few days, Logan doesn’t get any better. To his dismay, Kendall has to get back to work. Roman and him had sat in a booth in your bakery as you worked, trying to figure out how things would run without Logan. The two seemed to be butting heads over who’d be CEO, but you didn’t want to hear it.
You’re working today, too. You figure that you should spend as much time in the bakery as possible before Croatia, just so you didn’t create any issues for yourself. Kendall texts you throughout the day, complaining about Roman or some douche kissing his ass. You zip the ‘K’ around on your necklace absentmindedly as you work.
You’re set to go to his apartment after you’re both off. You feel giddy, You realize, now, that this isn’t your usual giddy- butterflies aren’t terrorizing your insides, you don’t feel like you can’t breathe, you just feel happy, excited.
Once you finally do get off, Kendall’s already sent you a text.
Some associate brought a box of cinnamon rolls to try and kiss Dad’s ass. Looking at them reminded me of you.
You’re smiling stupidly to yourself as you read it, and another text comes in.
They were ass, though. Was thanking god I know you.
aw, you had shitty cinnamon rolls and thought of me? how sweet
Get your ass over here. Please.
i’m coming, asshole
I missed you, too.
You make the drive over, and by the time you’ve gone up to his door, he’s opened it and beckoning you inside. Kendall kisses your brow when you walk in, murmuring hello.
“Are you alright?” you ask softly, his arm coming around you naturally and pulling you close. He drags you to the couch, hoisting you into his lap and relaxing once he sits, your cheek pressed to his shoulder.
“Just need you right now.”
You give his chest an affectionate rub. “What’s going on?”
“Fucking chair battle. Nobody knows what to do or who to put where. Connor’s fighting tooth and nail for CEO, but that’s the only thing Roman and I fuckin’ agree on.” He sighs. “I don’t even know why he’s involving himself. He hasn’t come to see Dad since… you know.”
Your hand continues it’s journey back and forth across Kendall’s chest. “Do you know why he hasn’t gone? Willa said she’d get him to visit, but I guess not.”
“Dad doesn’t approve of Willa. At all. It’s… insane.” He stops your hand in its path, lacing your fingers together.
“He said something about that today. It sounds like he talked to your dad before he actually proposed.”
Kendall hums thoughtfully. “Shiv said she heard it from the yard when she stepped out before dinner for some work call.” He brings your clasped hands to his lips, brushing them against the tops of your knuckles. “It’s going to cause problems. It is causing problems.”
“Take a break, then.”
“Can’t. The press is on our asses. You know how fast that’d sell? Logan Roy, multi-billionaire, incapacitated, leaving Waystar Royco a mess! God, stocks would fucking collapse, the shareholders would step in, and everything goes wrong and we lose the company.”
“So, what’re you going to do?”
“Waystar needs to stay in my control, with Roman and Shiv. I don’t know how to keep Connor out of it.”
“This is going to make me sound like a bad person…,” you begin.
“Don’t stop there. You have my attention.”
“Well…” You look up at him. “Why don’t you just tell the media that you, Roman, Shiv are taking the reigns, Connor sitting out because of the wedding…”
His fingers twist a lock of your hair around themselves. “Evil genius,” he murmurs. “Don’t know why I didn’t think of it.” He litters kisses along your forehead. “Let me ring a journalist I know.”
He gets up, and after a short while, he’s back, grinning ear to ear. “Fucking ate it out of my hand. But enough of that. I have more than enough time to mull everything over in my head.”
You let out an airy laugh when his lips trail down your jaw and find the spot where your neck meets your shoulder. “Do you make french toast?” he asks into your collarbone.
“’Course I do. What kind of chef would I be if I didn’t?” You gently stroke the back of his hand with your thumb. “Want me to make you a slice?”
“What? No, you’re not moving an inch. Can you teach me?”
You grin up at him. “I thought you weren’t interested in the kitchen.”
“I mean, I’m not, but you bake for a living. I want to learn. It’s something you love, so I love it too.” Kendall can’t help the tiny smile that graces his handsome face.
“Tell you what. I’ll lay out the ingredients and walk you through it, okay?”
“Okay. Off you go.” He nudges you off the couch, grinning now. Happily, you oblige.
Since you’ve been together, you’ve brought him any extras from shipments of ingredients for the bakery. Now, his pantry and fridge were consistently stocked- he also made sure to call you any time he went grocery shopping. He had no clue what he was doing.
“Do you have any maple syrup?” you ask, peering in the pantry.
“What would I need maple syrup for?”
“French toast.” You can practically hear him roll his eyes. “Fine. You’ll just use cinnamon. Come here, Ken.”
You sit up on the counter, watching him as he comes over to you and gives you a peck on the lips.
“French toast is easy. Eggs, vanilla extract, and whole milk in a bowl. Salt and cinnamon, then dip the bread into the bowl. Fry the bread and caramelize brown sugar on top. Easy peasy.”
He scoffs. “I’ll light myself on fire.”
You turn him around and gently push him towards his work space. “Get to it. Chop, chop.”
He choppily follows your directions, asking questions as he goes. When the bread fries, it makes a few scary sounds, but in the end, nothing’s burnt. He hesitantly brings you the plate when he’s finished.
“They look good!”
“Don’t sound so surprised.” He makes a face at you, setting the dish by your side. “Try a bit?”
You break a piece of toast off and pop it into your mouth. It’s flavorful, buttery, sweet. It’s certainly not the best thing you’ve ever had, but it’s good.
“I’m proud of you, Kendall.”
He smiles up at you, bracing himself against the counter, his arms on either side of you. “Really?”
“Really.” You kiss his head. “You did great.”
He takes a bite from the same piece. “I still like yours better,” he mutters after he swallows.
“Well, that’s going to be the case for every dessert you come across that isn’t mine.”
Kendall gives your cheek a peck. “Egotistical asshat.”
You laugh. “Sounds like you, not me.”
You squeal when he hoists you off the counter, exits the kitchen with you in his arms, and tosses you back onto the couch. You lose your breath laughing, burying your face in one of the cushions. He settles in next to you, swatting your legs away from him. “Fuckin’ deserved.”
You spend a few hours just talking. You feel so at home with Kendall, like you don’t even need to try and everything will just work out anyway. He’s much looser with you than he was when you’d first met. He had no problem touching you, kissing you, making eye contact. And thankfully, you hadn’t seen him high since when he’d taken you to Logan to see if he’d hire you.
“Do you know what you’re going to wear to the wedding yet?” he asks nonchalantly.
“No clue. You still want to do the matching thing?”
“Of course I do. It’d be cute.”
“I’ve never heard you describe anything as cute before. Are you feeling okay? Hit your head?” you ask, teasing.
He ignores you. “I’m going to go see Dad. Do you want to come?”
“I don’t want to intrude-”
“Oh, shut the fuck up. You’re so kind and soft you couldn’t intrude even if you were criminally trespassing.” You laugh as he pulls you to your feet. “You can stay in the lobby, if you’d like. Nobody would mind if you came up with me, though. It’s probably only going to be me and Marcia, anyway.”
“I’ll drive,” you murmur, fishing your keys from your bag.
Kendall doesn’t complain.
He stares out the window as you go, the city lights passing by in a hazy blur. He grips your hand the entire ride there. “Feeling nervous?” you ask quietly
“A bit,” he whispers back. “I’m… I’m worried he won’t wake up.”
“Don’t worry, Ken.” You give his hand a squeeze. “He will.”
You don’t really know if what you’re saying is true.
When you arrive, the receptionist waves you both off, seemingly already familiar with Kendall. Your heart aches for him. You know his relationship with his father is complicated, which makes this entire process even more difficult.
You let him go in by himself to sit by his father.
You sit outside, practically on your own, but you don’t mind. You know he needs the time to sort through his thoughts. Marcia sits by you, eyes soft, but inspecting.
“You bring out the good parts of Kendall,” she says bluntly, after a long period of silence. “There’s been no breakdowns or issues since you.”
You’re not exactly sure what that’s supposed to mean, but you’re fairly sure it’s positive. “I’m glad.”
She gives you a soft smile before making her way to her husband’s side. Now you’re truly by yourself. In your head, you’re organizing Connor’s wedding menu. Despite the such short notice, it was coming together nicely. You’re even going to print everything out on pretty stationary to put out at the dinner tables.
Eventually, Kendall comes out to sit by you. His eyes seem a bit more sunken, his mood duller. Wordlessly, you take his hand.
Neither of you say anything. He brings your hand to his free one, and now your palm is sandwiched between both of his. His grip is tight, and you see his knuckles whitening. You use your other hand to gently rub your thumb over his knuckles.
While all your silences were comfortable, this one was strained, as if something was hanging tersely in between the two of you. You feel it’s a product of his sour mood. You’re not sure what he saw when he went to his father, but you’re assuming it’s not good.
The silence stretches on- you don’t want to speak before he doesn’t want to. It ends when a nurse gets his attention, Marcia trailing behind her. She tells Kendall she just would like to brief them both on some things concerning his father’s potential diagnosis.
He turns to you. “Could you stay with him? Please? Just in case something happens.”
“That would be very appreciated if you could,” Marcia adds.
You agree, assuring him you’ll cause a scene if any single viral falls below normal. You go into Logan’s room and sit in a chair by the window. Close enough to interfere if needed, and far enough away for it to not be weird.
You awkwardly sit there for a while, not really sure where to look. You keep an eye on his vitals, his heart rate steady and blood pressure seemingly normal.
You scroll absentmindedly on your phone, only half focused, ‘just in case’, like Kendall said.
Logan shifts a bit. You don’t know much about comas, so you don’t really know what to think. You decide it’s too trivial to bother someone with right now. You’ll just tell Kendall when he gets back.
You’re scrolling through a few different mood board Willa has sent you when it happened.
“What the fuck?” Logan’s voice is rough, raspy. It has a grainy quality to it, like it’s clogged.
“Oh! Mr. Roy- let me get someone,” you say quickly.
“No, no. Sit down. Fuck.” He surprisingly manages to sit up, struggling, but sitting up. “Jesus Christ. Don’t get anyone yet. I don’t want to fucking hear it.”
You keep your mouth shut and your ass in your chair.
“You and Kendall serious enough that you come to visit his old man?”
“He’s just with the nurse right now,” you manage. “He’s coming back.”
He waves his hand, as if dismissing you. “Whatever. Is Connor still doing it? Marrying that… that girl?”
“If you mean Willa, then yes.”
“Fuck off.” He wipes a hand over his face. “Haven’t even been awake ten minutes and shit’s hit the fan.”
Thankfully, you’re saved by Marcia and Kendall rushing back into the room. You take this as your chance to make an exit and you retake your seat outside of the hospital room.
Kendall takes you back to his apartment ages later, a large weight seemingly lifted off of his shoulders. His mood has been lifted, but you notice his glum mood was replaced by a discreet tension across his muscles.
“I told you everything would be okay,” you tell him. You’re both laying in bed, his arm wound tightly around you.
“Thank you. For everything,” he murmurs back.
The next morning, you both have a few hours to spend before getting to work. After a shower, you have to help him with the clasp of his necklace.
“Can’t fucking get it,” is all he tells you when he hands you the chain. Smiling to yourself, you fasten in around his neck, liking the way the initials sit on the fabric of his shirt. You smooth your palms over his shoulders once you’re done.
While you’re slipping on your shoes to go home, Kendall’s phone rings. He drifts away from you to speak to whoever it is on the other end. You don’t mind, waiting for him by the door. When he comes back, he’s harried. He traces the line of your jaw with his palm, cupping it once he hits its end, and gives you a long, needy kiss.
“I can’t take you back, I’m sorry,” he says, voice tense. “I’ll come by later, okay?”
You press another lighter kiss to his lips. “It’s alright. I’ll save you a cookie.”
He kisses you one last time on the head before hurrying away.

I think Chris being a Tom Brady fan is going to THE Goat’s event 🤷🏻‍♀️
So now blogs are saying that the goat emoji referred to Chris being the biggest celebrity they’ve worked with because why would a wedding videographer be hired to work an event for Tom Brady. My question is why would Chris hire vendors that haven’t dealt with celebs on his level ? Wouldn’t he want people that have knowledge in working an event like this and keeping it quiet ? I don’t know but I feel like if he didn’t go for vendors known to work with big celebs he would go for local vendors and MA has very good local wedding vendors.
What???? A wedding vendor would have that little decency??? *sigh*
Even with my “normal” clients, I don’t post ANYTHING regarding their event until after they do, and I check with them.
Tom Brady is THE G.O.A.T
I hate that I have said that so many times today. It feels wrong.

The 10 Most Important Questions To Ask Your Wedding DJ or Band
Tumblr media
From the musical genres they cover to getting the scoop on how they create a couple's setlist, these are the most important questions to ask potential musicians and disc jockeys.
1. HOW MANY MEMBERS ARE IN THE BAND? ARE THERE DIFFERENT OPTIONS AS FAR AS HOW MANY MUSICIANS/VOCALISTS WE CAN HIRE?
What you need to know: If you've decided to book a band for your wedding, you'll need to know how many musicians and vocalists will be performing in order to make sure your venue can accommodate everyone comfortably. Also ask if they're flexible about the number of musicians and vocalists you can hire. Booking a smaller group of band members might be a way to accommodate a tight music budget (read our detailed post on creating a wedding budget). If you're hiring a wedding DJ, ask if they will be performing solo or if they work in tandem with a partner.
Tumblr media
2. WHAT GENRES CAN YOU COVER?
What you need to know: Before meeting with any potential DJ or bandleader, have a conversation with your fiancé to figure out the overall musical vibe you're going for at the reception. Then, ask the DJ or bandleader what type of music and genres they usually play or specialize in to determine if they're the right fit. For example, if you're hoping to create a glam, Old Hollywood-inspired mood, then you wouldn't want to book an indie folk band. DJs usually have a wide and extensive library of songs, but it's still a good idea to ask about specific genres they tend to gravitate towards.
3. HOW DO YOU WORK WITH COUPLES TO COME UP WITH A PLAYLIST?
What you need to know: Do you and your partner prefer to be very involved in the creation of your wedding playlist? Or are you OK with providing some general guidelines and then letting your wedding professional handle the rest? Once you've decided how involved you'd like to be, make sure you ask any potential music pro this question to figure out if you guys will work well together. Pro tip: Ask them to name a few of their go-to dinner/background music tracks, pump-up jams, and slow songs to get a good feel for their style.
4. CAN YOU LEARN SPECIFIC SONGS FOR US (IF YOU'RE INTERVIEWING A BAND)?
What you need to know: If you have your heart set on dancing to whatever "your song" may be for your first dance, then you'll want to ask if the band is willing to learn it for the wedding. Be sure to also ask if there's an additional fee for a song request like that.
Tumblr media
5. WHAT DO YOU TYPICALLY DO TO GET GUESTS ON THEIR FEET IF THE DANCE FLOOR IS EMPTY?
What you need to know: The last thing you want is a drop in energy as people trickle off the dance floor. Some DJs might take to the mic (or even jump into the crowd!) to encourage guests to keep dancing, while others might switch to a song that's a guaranteed crowd pleaser. Just be sure to book a wedding pro who uses a method that you like. For instance, if you want minimal chatting from the DJ or bandleader, then someone who gets on the mic to encourage the crowd to boogie will not be the right fit.
6. CAN YOU ALSO ACT AS THE EMCEE AND MAKE ANNOUNCEMENTS?
What you need to know: You'll probably need someone to serve as the master of ceremonies and help guide guests through the different phases of the reception, from announcing the newlyweds as they enter the room and letting guests know when dinner is served, to introducing the wedding toast-givers and when it's time for the last dance. Some couples ask a close friend or family member to serve as the voice of the wedding, while others ask the DJ or bandleader to take on this role. If you'd prefer your wedding pro to serve as the master of ceremonies for the night, be sure to clarify if this is a responsibility they are willing to take on.
Tumblr media
7. WHAT ARE YOUR POWER AND AMPLIFICATION REQUIREMENTS?
What you need to know: Your wedding band will likely bring their own equipment for sound (and sometimes lighting), so they will need easy access to power. Ask what they'll need and how much space they'd like in order to support their equipment. Same goes for a DJ! They will probably need power and a table to set up their DJ equipment, so you'll likely need to rent a table and table linen for them. Ask what table size they prefer before you add those items to your rental order.
8. WHAT MUSIC WILL BE PROVIDED DURING BREAKS?
What you need to know: All musicians, and especially musicians and vocalists, will need to take breaks at some points during the reception. One important question to ask your DJ for your wedding is what type of music they usually play during those breaks so that everyone is aligned and knows what to expect.
9. DO YOU PROVIDE OTHER SERVICES SUCH AS VIDEO PROJECTION, LIGHTING, PHOTO BOOTH, ETC.?
What you need to know: In addition to providing the music, some vendors can also provide additional entertainment services, such as special lighting and effects, fog machines, dance-floor and wall projection (if you wanted to have your monogram projected on the dance floor or plan to show a special wedding video during dinner). Some companies also offer photo booth rentals that you can add to your package, so it's always a good idea to ask about any other entertainment extras they might offer.
Tumblr media
10. WHAT'S YOUR RATE AND WHAT DOES THAT INCLUDE?
If you're thinking about booking a live band for your wedding, expect to pay between $2,850 to $6,488, with the average wedding band cost being approximately $4,500, according to figures from WeddingWire. If you're on a tight music budget, then booking a DJ is a more affordable option. The rate for wedding DJs ranges from $780 to $1,495, with the average cost being right around $1,000. It's important to note, though, that the going rate for bands and DJs varies widely across the country and depends on numerous factors, including the number of musicians, geographic region, and the number of hours you'll be booking them for.
EVERYTHING ELSE YOU SHOULD ASK YOUR WEDDING DJ OR BAND

Fluff, veryyy light suggestiveness
Rowan and Aelin
First fic!
Synopsis:
Aelin and Rowan go to the market on market day
Rowan stands, impatient at the door to their room, "Its been half an hour more than you said, darling! Can we leave now?"
"Coming! I'm just putting on my earrings!"
After a few moments, Aelin bursts out of the room. She stands, wearing a loose, flowy white shirt with some traveller's pants underneath. The simple clothing is paired with a gold necklace and other jewelry of the same nature. She gives Rowan a quick twirl, "How do I look?" Rowan smiles," Horrid. You look absolutely disgusting"Aelin sends a spark of flame towards him. "Actually! I tried a new style today" She said pointing. Rowan cups his hands around her face, "You always look beautiful" Aelin smirks, "That's what I thought. Now come on!"
They both trail out of the door and towards the marketplace. It's market day in Terrassen, nation wide, and the square is filled and crammed with stalls in every nook and cranny. The sweet smell of pumpkin filled bread wafts throughout the market place, intertwined with the smoky scent of freshly grilled beef.As soon as Aelin walks in, she squeals. "Oh. My. World. Rowan. Let's go! We can't waste any time! I'm going to every.single.stall!"She grabs Rowan by the arm and sprints into the market.
Aelin's first stop is a jewellery stall."Ooo, Rowan, look at these rings!" She says, holding up a particularly shiny one to him. Rowan snorts "Is our wedding ring not enough for you?" Aelin pouts, looking at her ring finger. "Of course I love it, but it looks a bit lonely, don't you think?" She grins up at him.The vendor chirps up form behind, "Yes, that one your majesty, is especially imported from ellywe, and..."Rowan turns to the elderly seller. "We'll take it." He says, tossing a coin over."Wait!" Aelin says. "Rowan, get something for yourself! Get that ring, it looks matching to mine!"Rowan looks over. He looks over at Aelin "Really? It looks tacky."Aelin claps her hand to her mouth and feigns a fall. "Tacky? That's not tacky! Are you calling my taste tacky? Horrible man. Well," She almost shouts. "Just the first ring then, I suppose"The vendor hands Aelin the ring and she saunters off, calling for Rowan to follow.
The fae male turns to the vendor, and motions for her to give him the ring, simaltaneously flicking a coin into her cup. The vendor gives him a toothless grin, and gives him the ring. Rowan soon finds Aelin at a perfume stall and she quickly drags him in, making him smell various kinds of scents. She scarcely gives him time to speak about them as she commentate about them herself.
"Well, this one seems a bit too fruity? Eughh and this one is far too musky. Oo! This one seems fine, here!"
She gives him a bottle adorned in gold and an amber colored liquid inside. He smells it and is about to open his mouth when her voice chirps up again," but is it too overpowering? I don't know, maybe I'll just-"
" That one. " Rowan's voice cuts through hers. Aelin turns to him, cocking her head. He speaks again, "That perfume. Get that perfume."Aelin smirks. "Well I think this might be a bit too expensive, so-"
"I don't care if we have to empty the whole damn treasurey to get it, get that damn perfume!"Aelin grins, "Well then," She drawls, "The ember perfume, please" She leans into Rowan's ear, "since your so.. Desperate"Rowan almost growls in response, but manages to control himself.
They walk around the market for a good 2 more hours, and buy an item from almost every stall before Aelin announces she simply *must* eat. The pair walks up to the barbecue stall that was emitting savory and tangy scents all day. She orders a skewer of kebab and another one for Rowan."Oh my god this is so good! We need to come here everyday! Can we hire him in our Palace? Hey, excuse me, do you want to work in our Palace? Yes, great! Come tomorrow and meet with me to make it official."With their bellies full and minds definitely happy with all the shopping done today, Rowan and Aelin go back to the Palace, shrouded in the sunset

I’m kinda lost so please don’t come for me but why would Matthew secretly get married and have the ceremony later?? 😭 is there a reasoning in doing this or am I just taking a joke too literal 😅
no, no it’s just a joke!!
the night the panthers won my friend and I were joking they’d move the wedding up so they could have the cup there for it and that eloping does feel like a Matthew thing to do
and with them hiring wedding vendors for his cup day and the posts referring to her as his wife it’s just fun to think they did rush the wedding so they could have the cup!

2Cutie2Pie Ep 4 (Finale) Stray Thoughts
Last week, we took a trip to the beach to get ready for the wedding and have bachelor parties. Foei had all sorts of difficulties with vendors, but we seemed to have cleared those up. Everyone had or attempted to have a nice sexual moment, and I added Syn and Nuer to my favorite first times list.
Oh good, Tonnam is still here.
Oh course my boy Nuer is thinking about marriage. He has been clear eyed about who Syn is this whole time and clearly his devotion is worthy!
On that note, I've been thinking about Syn and Nuer and I think their primary role is to underscore the seriousness with which everyone approaches marriage. Syn has a strong sense of piety, and doesn't like when his friends act in gross ways. His approval and presence reminds us that this isn't a joke.
Nu-Kuea's parents have been on Team Lian for decades, so they are clearly vibing.
I just need for Foei to catch a break.
Tut-tut it looks like rain.
I feel like they should have been aware of the weather forecast and had a backup plan for rain, no?
And now they lost one of the rings. I just feel like with all the money they have, they should have hired a wedding planner and not relied on Foei for this.
I don't know the rules, but is Syn advanced enough to perform the wedding for them?
I love Syn so much
Suddenly Jay. Welcome back, Perth.
Lian and Nu-Kuea have come a long way at handling crisis.
The rain has stopped. Quick! Run the lotion ads.
Backup outfits? Very elegant!
I like handling this wedding in stylish fashion and potentially saving vows for later.
Also a fan of the bouquet toss tradition. I like the reminder that there will be more weddings.
Oh, I'm really liking this post-wedding bed scene. These two have had a long road to get here, so it's lovely seeing Lian release that tension first.
Nu-Kuea managed to debut! One more performance of the Cutie Pie theme for good measure.
I really like the way Zee and NuNew kiss. Glad they're getting another show.
Ah, that was cute. Short and sweet. Good job, Domundi.

I got married yesterday and it was one of the worst days of my life.
My family and bridesmaids were 2 hours late, so I was all by myself to get ready. I forgot my jewelry because I was running slightly late in the morning after not sleeping because I'm currently unmedicated for my narcolepsy. So I sat by myself and accrued huge late fees because I had hired makeup and hair stylists to state the bridesmaids and moms. It was $25 for each artist for every 15 minutes they were late. Then they wouldn't get dressed after me and Jacob asked more than thrice. So a bunch of pictures got missed. When I said something about being upset that everyone was late, my dad said "it's just money"
He did not, in fact, offer to pay the money. That was on me. I ended up yelling "it's not about money, it's about me crying by myself on my wedding day." I gave him 1 job, which was to take the labeled envelopes with tip money in them and distribute them out to the vendors. It didn't happen and now I feel like the asshole bride.
Nobody apologized for being late. They all just blamed someone else. Nobody apologized or offered to help with the hundreds of dollars in late fees I owe because of them. Nobody would help me do the little things I needed done so I was running around trying to get things accomplished.
My family ended up missing all of the group pictures. My sister ended up yelling at my dad for walking out of the ceremony in the wrong order.
The husband parts were good, after I was able to get him up and out of bed. But it made me feel like absolute shit that my family couldn't get it together for my wedding, but then my dad gave a speech where he pretended like he knows me and loves me.
I'm so sad that it was such a horrible experience.
