i feel like he just wouldn’t understand the terminology and is just like “erm remus can i have a… sip of your cigarette…?”

and remus and sirius just burst out laughing and are like “a sip????”

and james gets all embarrassed but is laughing and just says something like “well what do you call it? a breath? a taste??”

and it’ll become a long running joke that every time remus and sirius smoke they’ll ask james if he “wants a sip”
