SONIC

Sonic isn’t the type to let things get to him. At least, thats what everyone thinks. He’s carefree, fun, the good guy! But when he sees you getting too close to someone else, when your focus isn’t on him, his stomach twists with something dark.

He plays along at first, flashing his signature grin as his eyes track your every move.

“Oh yeah? He’s a cool dude, huh?” he asks.

There was something off about his voice, something too tight in his posture..

After that was when the subtle sabotage against your little friend began.

Sonic always interrupted the two of you. The moment Sonic sees you two together, suddenly he’s there, an arm slung around your shoulder cracking jokes to force you to focus on him, to acknowledge his presence.

Sonic will isolate you through guilt.

“Y’know, Y/N.. We used to spend so much time together. Guess I’m just not as fun anymore, huh?”

He says while leaning on a tree, ears drooping. His voice was just sad enough to make you feel bad.

He’ll even approach your friend himself, always challenging him to things to try and prove himself better than him. Such as challenging him to a race. If he doesn’t accept, he’ll just flash a cocky smile and remind your friend just how much cooler he is. however if he does accept, Sonic won’t run at his full speed, (unless your friend can run near the speed of sound..!) He’ll run just fast enough to make him collapse in exhaustion. He’ll grin as he stands over his breathless, defeated form.

“Heh, guess you’re just not cut out for keeping up, huh?”

But what if all that doesn’t bring his desired results of keeping him away from you?

No matter where your friend went, he felt watched. Flashing blue in the distance, the feeling of something moving too fast just outside of his vision.

One night, he finds Sonic waiting for him.

Close, still, his usual cocky grin wiped from his face.

“Listen, buddy.” Sonic murmured, his voice as sharp as a blade.

“You’re messing with something that doesn’t belong to you. I don’t like that.”

Then a quick gust of wind whipped past your friend’s ear, a flash of blue too quick to focus on. Suddenly, whatever form of communication the guy had disappeared from his person. Phone? Smartwatch? Gone.

Sonic reappears in front of him, twirling the device in his fingers. Sonic’s smile returned to his face.

“Oops.. It’d be a shame if something happened to you, huh?”

The next day, your friend was gone. He won’t return your calls, won’t answer the door.. After a while of not seeing him, Sonic questions it.

“Hey, Y/N, what ever happened to your little friend?”

“I’m not sure.. I haven’t seen him in a while.” you said, avoiding eye contact.

He tilted his head, moving his gloved hand from his side to under your chin, forcing you to look at him.

“Heh, told you I was the only one who’d stick around.”

and then he’d probably invite you out for pizza lolololol

SHADOW

Shadow didn’t like to share. He kept his things to himself. and he CERTAINLY wasn’t fond of the idea of sharing you.

The first time he sees you, laughing and smiling with this other guy, something inside him snaps.

What do you think you’re doing? You’re his, after all.

At first, he watches, lurking. His crimson eyes tracking your every interaction, every small gesture of kindness, every flash of a smile towards him.. His body tense, hardly restraining himself from ending it between you two right then and there.

Then, the warnings.

Your friend starts to notice some subtle, terrifying things. His belongings, keys, wallet, phone, would disappear without a trace, only to be returned later.. Ripped to pieces.

On walks, his footsteps echo. Not because of empty surroundings, but because Shadow follows behind, calculating the perfect time to strike.

When you two have conversations, he’ll stand closely behind you, sending a piercing stare into your friend’s eyes, hinting at him to back off.

And when he doesn’t listen, when he keeps on coming back to you, Shadow begins to escalate things.

One night, your friend is walking home after a late night out. The streets are empty. The air is still. Then something moves in the corner of his eye, a rush of wind, a flicker of red in the dark.

And suddenly, there stands Shadow, menacingly in front of him.

“You don’t listen very well.”

He steps forward as the guy instinctively steps back.

“That’s a problem.”

Your friend tries to run, but he doesn’t get far. Shadow’s gloved hand wrapped around his mouth, quickly teleporting them both into an abandoned, desolate place. A place where nobody could hear him scream.

Before he could even react, Shadow sent a hard blow to his ribs, enough to make him understand. He gasped trying to get up, but Shadow’s air shoe pressed down on his chest, keeping him in place.

“I don’t like repeating myself.”

About a week later, you started to get worried. You hadn’t heard from your friend at all, all calls going to voicemail and all texts being left on delivered.

And Shadow?

He’s right there by your side.

“He won’t answer you at all? Tch.. Looks like he isn’t that great of a friend after all.”

His eyes were soft as he watched your expression of confusion turn into one of sadness, loneliness.

Perfect.

Because now, there’s no one else left but him.

A/N: Thanks for the request! I have to admit that I didn't think people would like these dad hedgehogs scenarios that much. But I'm glad that so many people enjoy them, I always have a lot of fun writing about them.

Sonic

The blue hedgehog was at home, lounging on the couch, enjoying some chili dogs while watching TV. You were sitting beside him, just keeping him company. It seemed like a peaceful day as always, until his daughter approached, her little hands behind her back, her green eyes sparkling with excitement.

Sonic raised an eyebrow at her in confusion.

“What’s up, kiddo?” he asked, finishing his chili dog and licking his fingers.

“Dad, Mom, there’s a boy I like at school,” the little hedgehog said, completely excited, a big smile on her muzzle.

Sonic’s eyes widened at that moment, and he felt a strange chill run up his stomach, an odd sensation washing over him. A thousand thoughts ran through his head as he stared at his daughter blankly. Finally, he let out a small smile, crossing his arms.

“Oh yeah…? And what’s so great about him, huh?” Sonic sat up straight on the couch, fully focusing on her, one eyebrow slightly raised.

You just watched with a smile on your face, obviously noticing that he wasn’t thrilled about the idea, but he was still handling it in a calm and relaxed way.

“He’s cute, Dad, and he’s nice. He plays with me during recess,” she said softly, a blush appearing under her fur.

“And is he cooler than your dad?” he asked, his tone a bit more serious.

“Hmm, I think you’re cooler, Dad,” she answered after thinking for a moment.

“If he’s not cooler than me, then there’s no reason for you to like him,” Sonic replied with a smug grin. You let out a nasal laugh at their interaction.

While your daughter made an incredulous expression, Sonic turned to you and whispered, “If I knew this stuff started so early, I would've put her in a school for babies.” His tone was way too serious, making you playfully punch his arm.

“Sonic, no. This was bound to happen sooner or later. We just have to be careful and deal with it.”

“My daughter is way too young to like someone…” He narrowed his eyes.

“Sonic… It’s just a school crush,” you laughed, while he just sighed.

“Fine, but I’m meeting the kid first.” He closed his eyes, accepting the situation. You nodded at him before turning to your daughter.

“We’re happy that you like someone at school, sweetheart, just be careful, okay? And if he ever does anything to hurt you, don’t hesitate to tell us.” The little girl’s eyes lit up with happiness at your words, and she eagerly nodded.

“If he does anything to hurt my daughter… I’m gonna run around him so fast that he’ll be sent flying,” Sonic murmured.

“Is this all just jealousy?” You laughed, intertwining your arm with his. The hedgehog simply gave you a little grin.

The next day, despite your requests for him not to do it, Sonic went to casually pick up your daughter from school. He leaned against a wall, waiting for her to come out of the classroom. When the little hedgehog finally walked out with her backpack on, her green eyes widened upon seeing her father.

“Hey, kiddo, how’s it going?” He flashed a big grin, approaching her, placing one hand on his waist as he looked at her. “So, where’s this boy you like?” he asked casually, hiding the fact that he had already been keeping an eye on practically every boy walking out of the classroom, analyzing each one meticulously to see if any of them seemed decent—and if any of them were the boy she liked.

The little girl looked timidly at her father before shifting her gaze toward a boy at the end of the hallway. Sonic’s eyes followed hers, landing on a small Mobian opossum who was walking clumsily while chewing gum. The boy stopped, pulled the gum out of his mouth, stuck it under a bench, then spat on the floor right after. He then walked up to another boy and pushed him for no particular reason.

Sonic watched the scene, jaw slightly open. He wasn’t sure if this was just a normal kid or a reformed criminal who somehow ended up there.

The blue hedgehog clenched his fists tighter and tighter with every bad thing the kid did. He narrowed his eyes and turned to his daughter.

“Hey, kiddo… You sure it’s that one?” She nodded, making her father sigh. “You don’t wanna pick someone else? Look at that one, he looks shy and nice.” He gestured toward another classmate sitting timidly on a bench in the hallway.

“No, Dad, I like that one,” she said determinedly. Sonic was in complete disbelief at how his daughter could like a kid who had so much potential to be a future villain. But he understood that young love was incomprehensible.

“That one? Your dad doesn’t approve of him, got it? Let’s go home.” He casually grabbed her hand.

She pouted at him for a second but then started walking normally. Until she suddenly stopped.

“Wait, Dad, I forgot my water bottle in the classroom!” She quickly ran back to grab it.

Sonic crossed his arms, leaning against the wall, watching the boy from afar. The little troublemaker walked past a girl, snatching a juice box from her hand before running off. Sonic furrowed his brow, but then a little smirk appeared on his face.

The blue hedgehog closed his eyes, keeping his relaxed stance as the boy ran past him. Suddenly, the little opossum tripped. The smug grin on his young face vanished into panic as he crashed onto the floor, sprawling out as the juice spilled all over him.

“Oh, what a shame, champ,” the hedgehog murmured. “Pulling that kind of stuff on others isn’t cool, you know?” The boy shivered slightly at Sonic’s words but remained on the ground.

Sonic kept his eyes closed, his smirk widening slightly, until he heard the familiar sound of his daughter’s footsteps. He opened his eyes to see her smiling.

“All set, Dad…�� She paused, looking down at the floor and at the juice-covered boy. Her gaze shifted to Sonic, now filled with suspicion.

“What’s wrong, kiddo?” He smiled at her, holding her hand.

“Dad…?” She looked between him and the crying, sprawled-out boy.

“It wasn’t my fault, he just learned his lesson. Let’s go home.” He started walking, stepping around the boy. The little girl glanced back for a few seconds before looking at her father, narrowing her eyes.

“He deserved it, didn’t he…?” she asked softly. Sonic raised an eyebrow at her.

“…Hmm, yeah, quite a lot. But I’m not stopping you from liking him, kiddo. You’re free to choose… but that doesn’t mean I won’t feel like teaching him a lesson every now and then if he keeps acting like that.”

The little girl just smiled at him, shaking her head. Then, she suddenly hugged him tightly. Sonic stopped in surprise, but soon, his arms wrapped around her.

“If you don’t like him… Then I trust you, Dad. I won’t like that boy anymore.” Sonic felt an unexpected wave of relief and a deep warmth in his heart at her words.

“That’s good, kiddo. That makes me happy. Now let’s go home.”

And so, the two of them peacefully walked home, laughing and talking along the way.

Shadow

The black hedgehog was in the kitchen with you, helping prepare dinner. He kept his usual serious expression, focused on making a sauce. But deep down, it was clear that he was enjoying spending that time with you.

Then, suddenly, you both heard the sound of little footsteps approaching. Your daughter stopped in front of the table, dragging a chair close to you and sitting down. You both turned to look at her.

She had a happy expression, her little legs swinging since they were too short to reach the floor.

"Mom, Dad, I have something cool to tell you. I like a boy at school," she said, cheerful and excited.

You smiled at her, then turned to Shadow, already aware that his reaction might not be the best. The hedgehog had the same serious expression as before, but his brow was subtly furrowed, and his arms were crossed tightly. Before you could say anything, Shadow responded seriously.

"Who?" he asked, expressionless.

"He's just a nice boy, Dad. He helped me carry some books," she said happily, holding her hands together.

"This is an unnecessary distraction," he said briefly.

"Shadow, be nice," you nudged him lightly with your elbow, to which he only responded with a characteristic "hmph." You knew you would have to talk to both of them later to handle this situation better.

You just hoped things wouldn’t get too complicated with Shadow.

Later that night, you woke up to get a glass of water and noticed that the black hedgehog wasn’t beside you in bed. Instead, he was at his desk with the lamp on, writing something. Approaching him, you stopped nearby, watching as he scribbled things in his notebook.

"Shadow… What are you doing?" you asked quietly.

He turned his attention to you, shifting his gaze briefly.

"Gathering information," he answered, returning to his writing.

Growing curious and confused, you decided to peek at what he was writing. Your eyes widened when you saw everything.

The paper had the name of the boy your daughter had mentioned earlier, his address, a background check on his parents, and several other highly personal details. At that moment, you started regretting ever teaching Shadow how to use social media and search things online.

"Shadow, don’t you think this is too much? It’s just a school crush, it’s normal at her age, you know? There’s nothing to worry about, she’ll probably change her mind soon."

"When it comes to my daughter’s safety, nothing is too much," he said with determination, continuing to write.

"Just take it easy, okay? This is completely normal." You turned to leave the room and get your water. The black hedgehog only let out a deep sigh, placing his pen back on the desk before getting up and returning to bed to rest.

The next morning, Shadow casually stood at the entrance of the school, waiting for his daughter. He closed his eyes. It would still take a little while for her to finish class. Crossing his arms, he remained deep in thought, then suddenly used Chaos Control, reappearing inside the school, hidden in a dark corner of the hallway. He stayed there, observing. He already knew the boy’s face, so it would be easy to recognize him.

After waiting for some time, a group of boys passed by, and in the middle of them was the boy his daughter liked. He was the shortest of the group, walking awkwardly and shyly.

That’s when the boy looked to the side and saw a pair of red eyes and the imposing figure of Shadow standing there, staring at him. The boy let out a small yelp, stepping back, trembling, before turning around and running down the hallway crying.

Shadow raised an eyebrow, confused by the boy’s reaction. Then, he heard someone clearing their throat behind him. The hedgehog turned around and saw his daughter standing there with her arms crossed and a serious expression. His ears twitched to the sides.

"Dad, why are you scaring the boy I like?" she asked quietly.

"I wasn’t…" he started to answer, but she cut him off.

"It doesn’t matter if you were or not, you’re being scary to kids right now, Dad." She put her hands on her hips, looking at him sternly.

Shadow sighed. The little girl stepped closer, taking his hand.

"I know you’re trying to protect me, Dad, but can you go easy on him? He’s… sensitive and gets scared easily," the small black hedgehog said softly, pulling him along as they left the school.

"He doesn’t seem like a threat, but I’ll keep watching… If he hurts you… He’ll learn a lesson he’ll never forget," Shadow said in a threatening tone, narrowing his eyes as he followed his daughter.

"Dad!" she said, exasperated, as they walked away from the school. It would be harder than she thought to convince Shadow that this was something completely normal.

Silver

The white hedgehog was sitting on the couch with you, holding you in a side embrace while his other hand held a book. He was reading peacefully when your daughter appeared at the doorway of the living room. She looked very happy as she took light steps toward you and then sat on the couch, hugging Silver.

"Dad, Mom, I have some news to tell you," she said sweetly, looking completely delighted.

"Hm? News? Tell us, sweetheart," Silver said softly, closing the book and setting it aside as he ran a hand through her quills.

"I like a boy at school."

At those words, Silver completely froze, his golden eyes widening in surprise. Then, he started shaking his head vigorously.

"No, no, no! You're way too young for that!"

"But Dad, all my friends like boys too," she frowned at him.

"But you don’t have to, you don’t have to copy everything they do, sweetheart."

You placed a hand on his shoulder, making Silver pause and look at you.

"Your dad is right, sweetie. You don’t need to start liking boys just because your friends do. Focus on your studies for now," you said softly, and your daughter paid close attention.

"Yeah, besides, dating at your age isn’t a good idea. There are relationship problems, we don’t know the boy, we don’t know if he has bad intentions, he might hurt you, he could leave you for another girl…" Silver was counting on his fingers until you cleared your throat to get his attention.

"What your dad means is that at your age, it's okay to like someone, but dating is more complicated. There are many problems and things that only older people can fully understand."

You tried to summarize what Silver was saying. The little hedgehog simply nodded briefly, understanding the situation. Silver let out a small sigh of relief.

However, that didn't put an end to his worries.

You had just tucked your daughter into bed when you returned to your shared bedroom and found Silver on top of the bed, glued to his laptop. One hand rested on his chin as he frowned in deep concentration.

Curious, you sat down beside him, glancing at what he was searching. The sight made you let out a nasal laugh.

"At what age do girls start liking boys? Is this normal?" You repeated what was written in the search bar. Silver turned to you with a concerned look.

"I need to be sure… I also don’t want her getting involved with someone dangerous," he clenched his fists, determined.

"Silver… She just likes a boy, it’s just a childhood thing."

"But she’s too young!" he said, clearly worried.

"It’s normal, completely normal," you reassured him, closing his laptop and placing it on the bedside table. "Let’s sleep, stop worrying about this."

Even though you tried to comfort him, Silver was still tense. It was obvious he wasn’t prepared for this.

Lying down beside you, he couldn’t close his eyes, thoughts swirling in his head. One last idea crossed his mind before he finally managed to relax enough to sleep.

"Am I overreacting? …No. I’d better see for myself."

Silver approached the school, his face set with determination. He was determined to find out who the boy was and see him with his own eyes.

The white hedgehog stopped in front of the school, waiting for his daughter to come out. His golden eyes scanned every child in the area until they finally met his daughter’s. He smiled.

She ran up and hugged his leg.

"Hi, Daddy. Look, that’s the boy I was talking about."

Silver’s eyes followed where she was pointing and landed on a boy sitting on a bench, reading a book. The only problem was that the boy looked a few years older than her.

"I still think you should wait at least 20 more years before liking boys," he said, crossing his arms. "Have you two… held hands?" Silver asked cautiously.

"…No? Dad, I just like him, that doesn’t mean he knows about it or likes me back."

"Even so, I need to know all the details…" He gently held her hand, turning to head home. Then, he sighed briefly.

"He seems… harmless… But if he ever hurts you, I swear I’ll make him float in the air for a whole month," Silver narrowed his eyes, glancing back.

"Dad, are you jealous?"

"Jealous? Me? No… I mean… That doesn’t matter right now! What matters is that I’m protecting you!" Silver immediately blushed at her accusation.

She only giggled and hugged her white hedgehog father again.

"I love you, Dad. Thank you for caring so much about me."

Silver completely melted at her words, letting out a small, appreciative murmur at his daughter's affection. At least he knew she would always be the best daughter he could ever have.

Scourge

Scourge was in the bathroom brushing his teeth. He had just woken up and hadn’t even put on his jacket yet. From the corner of his eye, he saw his eldest daughter skipping to the bathroom door, stopping there with a smug little grin.

He looked at her, not stopping his brushing, waiting to see what she would say. Soon after, the youngest appeared behind her sister, a baby bottle in her mouth, her blue eyes focused on her father.

“Hey, Dad, I want to tell you something.” Her little grin only grew, making it clear she was very happy. “I like a boy at school.”

Almost immediately, Scourge’s eyes widened, and he choked on the toothpaste, coughing uncontrollably as he turned to the sink, scooping water with his ungloved hands and rinsing his mouth. Then, he spun around, walking up to his daughter, still breathless.

"Who’s this punk? Who da hell he think he is?" Scourge said, irritated, crossing his arms.

“Dad, I’m the one who likes him, he doesn’t even know about it.” His daughter frowned.

"I don’t give a damn. I sure as hell didn’t authorize him to make ya like ‘im." he said quickly.

“What?” The little girl raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"Oh, so my baby’s already gettin’ herself a boyfriend now? Big freakin’ deal, ya barely know how ta tie ya damn shoelaces!"

That was when you happened to pass by the hallway, stopping to check the commotion, looking at Scourge curiously.

He pointed at your daughter.

"She’s got a crush on some kid at school!" he said indignantly.

“Yes? That’s normal…” you replied, smiling at him.

"Ya kiddin’ me, right?" he muttered, his ears lowering slightly.

“I’m completely serious.” You let out a nasal laugh at his reaction.

“Come on, Dad, you don’t even know him,” she said with a smug little smile.

"And I don’t wanna!" He crossed his arms again, clearly uncomfortable.

You tried pulling him away, giving him time to calm down and process the situation better, but he remained on the couch, arms crossed, sulking.

“Scourge, you don’t need to act like this just because your daughter has a crush at school.”

"…I’m gonna snap dat little punk in half…" he muttered threateningly. You grabbed his ear firmly, making him hiss in pain.

“No, you’re not. Leave the boy alone.”

"Ain’t no way! No suitor's survivin’ this. And what if dey’re delinquents, huh? Ya think I’ma let my girls run ‘round wit’ some two-bit punks? Hell no!" He looked at you, exasperated. You simply blinked at him, staring seriously before bursting into laughter.

“Scourge… Have you ever looked in a mirror?”

"Listen, I know my type, and THAT’S exactly why I ain’t lettin’ my girls anywhere near a damn delinquent!" he said with determination, making you laugh even harder.

Scourge stood in front of the school, arms crossed and wearing a scowl, sunglasses covering his eyes. His daughter appeared at the entrance, running toward him happily.

“What’s up, Dad?” She got close and exchanged a little fist bump with him, waiting to head home, but he remained still, pushing his glasses up onto his forehead.

"Where’s the damn kid?" he asked in a low, menacing voice.

“Dad, I don’t want you to kill him… Let’s go home.” She grabbed his hand, trying to pull him away.

"I swear, I ain't gonna touch ‘im, kiddo, just point me in the right direction…" His tone was obviously threatening.

“Dad, you’re going to scare him.”

"That’s his problem, not mine. I’m gonna be his worst nightmare."

“Dad, I’m telling Mom if you kill him.”

Scourge froze at her threat. His shoulders tensed as he turned to face his daughter.

"That little bastard’s lucky I ain’t in da mood ta get locked up again." He held her hand, finally starting to walk home.

“My little sister likes a boy at her preschool too, did you know that?”

Scourge stopped in his tracks, his jaw dropping.

"Ain't no damn brat takin’ my princesses away from me." He looked at them with determination. Then, he just closed his eyes and sighed. "I’ll be watchin’ ‘em real close… If any of ‘em even breathe funny ‘round ya, I swear, this world ain’t gonna be safe for ‘em no more…" the green hedgehog said in a low, gravelly voice before continuing to walk.

"And listen here—ya better be ready to throw hands. If some punk tries anythin’ and I ain’t ‘round, ya punch first, ask questions later."

The little girl giggled, nudging her father with her elbow.

He knew his daughters were growing up, he knew these things would happen. But Scourge didn’t want them to, and he would do everything in his power to make sure they stayed far away from boys for as long as possible.

Author’s Note: This is a cute request! Though I’ll have to add Sonic since this wouldn’t really happen at all without him, but he’s just there for funny and giggles anyways, it won’t stray from your relationship with Shadow don’t worry!

Before the whole Paradox Prism, you and Shadow had your two fair shares of throwing shade and fists at each other.

Sonic and Rouge always tried to pull you two back before things get too serious.

But if you two weren’t always bickering, you two just started gossiping about whoever, while throwing few punches in there.

Now, during the Paradox Prism, you and Shadow were stuck in the Void.

You being annoyed at this having to be stuck with your frenemy was not fun for you.

Before you two met up with Sonic, you always started throwing fists at each other but now knowing it won’t get anywhere you tried to figure out how to get out of here.

During when Sonic now met up with you two and learning only he can enter the worlds, made your life more worse.

But after forced to work with each other, you two managed to have a conversation without having to throw hands with each other.

During the battle with Nine and his robots, you two started working together like a powerful tornado.

After you guys got back to your world, you admitted first to Shadow that hanging out with him wasn’t all too bad.

Shadow then silently agrees, he then confesses about his love for you while you do the same.

Then that settles it, the day you two got together.

It was a very long brutal process to get use to each other but was worth it at the end.

Rare But Not So Rare Sonic Moments Being Both Extroverted And Introverted

Game!Sonic is more of an Ambivert then you’d think.

Disclaimer: My opinions on Sonic as a character tends to be mixed since I didn’t grow up with this franchise. Forgive me if I have conflicting points of views on this blue brat with his inconsistent characterizations.

I’m not expecting everyone to agree with me. Sonic being an introvert is such an agreed upon head-canon in this community. But I would like to fairly appreciate both introverted and extroverted sides to Sonic. I couldn’t pick between the two regardless because Sonic’s character has always been everywhere, but I like the blue hedgie in general. So, I’m going to gush about both of them.

Traits

This is my personal take, but I’ll do my best to describe them. I’m not speaking for everyone who caries these. To not make things complicated, I’ll use two characters who fit each personality trait the most. In my subjective views anyways.

Introvert: Someone who isn’t outgoing. Who prefers to be alone in their thoughts then be surrounded by people. Introverts spend time with one or two people instead of large groups and gets exhausted by social interactions very quickly. They also don’t like getting too much attention from others either.

Shadow and Whisper

Extrovert: An outgoing person who prefers to be with others and thrives in hanging out with large groups of people. Extroverts enjoy social interactions and can start a conversation with most people. Their energy is gained by spending time with different people and getting attention from them.

Tangled and Amy

Ambivert: A mixture of an introvert and extrovert. They enjoy both stimulating and none-stimulating environments. Can start a conversation with strangers, but enjoy doing their own thing. They gain energy by being in small or large groups simultaneously.

Sonic and Tails

Where Does Sonic Fall Into These Categories?

Let me start with Sonic X’s Sonic. For this analysis, it’s important to discuss different mediums of him to get my point across clearly. I might get off course and discuss how certain characteristics are due to the personality more then what normally falls into personality traits. Hold onto something!

Sonic X: He doesn’t enjoy people praising him and mostly talks to people who speaks to him first. He tends to not be much of a chatter box and is not in the show as much as you’d expect. This Sonic prefers to go off on his own then spend time with his friends at the beach in one episode. In another Sonic bails on his invitation to meet the President in order to spend time with his new friend, Helen.

Showing how he prefers to be with a few amount of people then with a group. He even leaves the group in a bunch of episodes to have his alone time. Sonic also doesn’t like hugs all that much unless he’s protecting someone, (mostly Amy) but I’d say that falls more into personal choice more than having to do with him being an introvert. Especially since he hugged Chris in one episode.

Even in Sonic’s more extroverted depictions he can be awkward with hugs. That being said, my hot take is this Sonic is one of two variants who fully commits to being introverted. Which is not a surprise because of reasons I’ll get into later.

Here’s where I’ll talk about his extroverted variants. I’ll start with Movie and Prime Sonic, since they fall into this personality trait the most.

Movie!Sonic: He lived alone for most of his life after his caretaker “Long Claw’s” sacrifice. Sonic had to raise himself by watching action movies on his soon to be families television. Due to his lack of interactions, love, or anything outside of being alone, he has a mental breakdown and his powers takes over his emotions. Causing the entire world’s lights to shut down.

Once he starts meeting different people he gets ecstatic and has fun with the situation. Getting into different shenanigans with his soon to be father, Tom. Again, Sonic Wachowski has been alone for years. Which makes his reasons of being extroverted make sense.

Prime!Sonic: (I deem this version of the character as not canon, so I’ll treat him as such.) Prime!Sonic is naturally affectionate and open towards anyone and everyone. Even Eggman by the end of the show. Like Movie!Sonic, he hates being alone and is very optimistic when it comes to interacting with people. The First Episode of the show: Sonic: “Are you ignoring me? You’re ignoring me. Why are you ignoring me?! WHY IS EVERYONE IGNORING ME?!”

He inspires others to become their better selves because he reaches out to them and often talks about trust and expressing yourself. Almost every Sonic does, but this energetic ball of stubbornness is the least subtle about it. His naivety seems to be both the worst and best aspect of his character. Worst because it gets really repetitive and best because you can understand how much compassion he has for people.

It getting out of hand at times is more of a flaw in the writing then the character, but I digress. I’d say Prime!Sonic is very emotionally honest with himself, but even in the show he internalizes his emotions at times. It’s not often, but still happens. Proving you don’t have to be introverted in order to want to keep your emotions to yourself.

Ep 3 Of Season One: Nine: “Are you okay?” Sonic: “Yeah, I’m fine.” Obviously wasn’t true. You can tell when this guy is holding back his emotions. All be it not perfectly.

Every Other TV Show Or Comic Depiction Of Sonic: Even if these adaptations are different in some regard, they all carry the core extroverted side to Sonic. Just not as much as the first two.

They are way more egotistical and wants to be the center of attention. (Archie!Sonic is literally a celebrity in his universe.) Likes their alone time, but mostly hangs out and fights with friends. Talks to a bunch of people, and so on.

Let’s finally get into the main canon Sonic.

Game!Sonic: Sonic is 100% an introvert in his Japanese depictions. It’s the same story as Sonic X. In terms of how Sonic’s written in the country he was created in, he is a complete introvert. Like being shy when it comes to being complimented (especially when people view him as an authority figure) In the American dubs before Pontiac and Graff wrote for the games, Sonic’s almost the same way. But as time went on especially during IDW’s run, Sonic tends to be pretty extroverted. It’s mostly how he’s depicted in the west if the examples before means anything.

Even beforehand he’s been more extroverted then one would think. He talks to strangers and in almost every game meets someone new. He doesn’t get exhausted or needs solitude afterwards either.

Sonic always could be around more than a few people at once. Sure, he doesn’t mind being alone, but again you don’t have to be an introvert in order to enjoy being alone. And there are plenty of introverts who talk a BUNCH with the people they’re most comfortable with. Then extroverts who can take the time to listen to others when needed. It all depends on the person.

That goes for Sonic keeping his emotions to himself. No matter where people fall, some may feel the need to keep their emotions to themselves. Extroverted or not. Especially since Sonic from X has expressed himself before. It’s just not as common for him.

I also feel the blue hedgehog does it so everyone else can keep their heads up. His own included. I understand if anyone doesn’t agree with that take though. The classic era is a good example his ambivert traits as well. He starts out as a none talking loner, but soon starts talking and meeting different people. These are reasons I believe Game!Sonic’s an Ambivert.

I believe Sonic’s a leap before he thinks kind of guy and is bad at expressing himself. He can sometimes be talkative. Especially when it comes to going back and forth with other characters. Villains and rivals to be specific. Sonic’s stubborn about his morals and will stop at nothing to keep those morals. He’s introverted enough to take some time to himself and do things his way without anyone to stop him, but extroverted enough to inspire strangers to become great hero’s themselves.

Let me simplify it even further. The situation is Sonic getting praised by a crowd of people.

X: Gets overwhelmed and runs away.

Every Other Variation: Appreciates the praise and maybe even start flexing to boost his ego.

Game: Would humbly appreciate the cheers and probably leave or stay. It depends on his mood.

I don’t know if I got my point across very well, but I did my best. I honestly believe I might be alone with this take. Hope my rambling didn’t get too out of line.

Metal has his own issues with him in particular. It isn't easy being someone else's copy. Poor Sonic.*

*Shadow opens the door. He looks like he's been crying* What.

*He stands and continues to Rouge's door. He's approaching it when it opens. He hasn't even gotten close enough to knock yet*

Ya'll... I just watched the new Sonic movie (Sonic 3) and I have to say... I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Me ranting about it after the cut!!

SONIC 3 SPOILERS!!

1) Okay, so, first of all. The movie was amazing. I felt so giddy and excited when I was sitting in the movie theate, just waiting for the next thing to happen.

2) I had to hold back my tears when Tom got brutally punched by Shadow, mainly at hoe Sonic reacted at that... poor boy thought he lost another parent:( I didn't want to cry in front of of my brothers. (They would've bullied me bc they always do)

2) Maria was sososososo pretty!!! I really wished that we could've seen more of the sibling dynamic between her and Shadow, but I honestly loved the relationship they had.

4) My boy Tails should've had more screen time though...💔 Along with knuckles...💔 (I understand they already had enough going on in the movie, and I think if they did what I wanted, it probably would've made the movie uncomfortably cramped)

5) TAILS LOOKED SO CUTE WITH THE HELMET ON IN THE HELECOPTER ATVTHE BEGINNING OMG⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️ I mentally agreed with Agent Stone when he said Tails was adorable, because he is.

6) Honestly, kinda wished Stone and Tails built up a friendship between them. Would've been fun to see them interact more! (Again, same thing I said earlier in nr.4)

7) I actually thought about this before seeing the movie. If I remembered correctly, the movie is based of Sonic adventure 2 (I believe) And Amy Rose was the one who comforted Shadow and got him to turn from evil to good? (I THINK. I SAW A PLAY THROUGH LIKE 10 YEARS AGO, DON'T YELL AT ME😭) So, I wondered how the would go about this. Honestly, the fact that Sonic comforted Shadow was a little odd to me, but what Sonic said was sweet. Since this is the movies we're talking about, it's on brand that Sonic was comforting him, since basically every single live action Sonic movie has him comforting SOMEBODY. Honestly, I liked it.

8) And... THE WAY MR. OLD REBOTNIC (can't remember name💔) GOT KILLED!?!?!? WHAT!?!? YOU'RE TELLING ME HE FOT STABBED IN THE BUTT BY A SUPER POWERED ALIEN HEDGEHOG QUIL, GOT LUNCHED UP, AND GOT INCINERATED BY A DAMN SHEILD!?!? Woah. Imagine telling other people how you died and someone says THIS to you??? My one brother quite literally looked at me like this when that happened: "😧" (my other brother laughed his arse off)

9) And the final message Robotnic gave Stone?? Omg, you can NOT tell me they didn't have SOMETHING going on over there....

10) Finally, the end credit scene... METAL SONIC AND AMY???? ARAGARAGATSGA!!!! Sigh, Why must I wait for the 4th movie to come out... 😔 (PLEASE GIVE REVERSE SONAMY IN THE NEW MOVJE OLEASE PLEASE PLEAS PLEASE PLEA) Also, when Amy revealed herself a little boy (who had a Sonic CAPE mind you) yelled out "IT'S AMY!!!" He might be a bigger fan then me chat... (I forgot my Tails plush 😔)

11) Fun mini fact about me, I'm not much of a Shadow fan (Don't come at me) so I've never been too interested in him. However, the movie got me much more interested in him, and Shadow is now up there with the others. (Also made me feel much more for the poor boy :<)

12) Overall, the movie was literally the best one I have seen in a WHILE. Even though the movie had a lot going on, I still felt immersed in the story the whole way through. Character development was was amazing, Sonic crashing out was SO COOL??? Tails and Knuckles trying to stop him was just as amazing. Tails looking like a scared kid while Sonic and Knuckles were disagreeing tugged SO HARD onto my heart strings💔 I really recommend the movie, it was a great watch. I do however recommend watching the first two movies before watching the third one.

PLEASE DONT COME AT ME!!!

I am simply a teenage girl who's a little obsessed with the STH franchise and movies.

Sorry for all the hate your getting, I just wanted to ask your opinion on Stone x Robotnik, and which version of eggmans your favorite!

Thank you I appreciate that, I'm used to it this point and all the hate doesn't get to me anymore, instead it only fuels me to keep being myself and expressing my passion even more hehe 🥚🌟💜

I don't ship movie Stobotnik because I'm personally not a fan of movie Robotnik or his characterization and their dynamic doesn't compell me, if anything the best it was was the first movie from what I recall in the one time I watched each on release days and I'm not really into the development in Sonic 3 because I prefer it to feel mostly one sided in terms of emotional involvement as I do all my ships with Eggman, as that's what is most in character for game Egg. I don't wanna sound like a negative hater though so I won't talk anything more about that lol

I'd say I kind of ship it when it comes to the idea of game Eggman x Stone though. I mean, I don't think and create anything about them a lot myself because the dynamic that would work for game Eggman involved specifically is already something I write all the time and always have long before Stone existed, as my self ship, Starline x Eggman, etc, is literally exactly the same as Stone would realistically be with game Eggman already. So I'm not all that invested in writing the same type of things again with a third different ship you know XD

But I do like seeing other people's creations in fandom like art (haven't tried looking for fic because I'm unsure of if anyone would pull it off in a way I feel works and would prefer but non story based art doesn't involve that) when it involves game Eggman's classic/modern design and is done in a way that feels in character. And they're just fun to see. I love when people embrace the massive size difference because game Eggman is a beast of a giant bear, that's always hot. I like when they're both drawn loving evil together rather than romance, that's all up my alley

I personally wouldn't want Stone/Stobotnik officially be in the games though. Not exclusive to this ship as I wouldn't want Stone, myself, or anyone else I ship with him to be in the games with him. I think Eggman works best far away from all other living beings, only around his superior robots and programs. I've always liked that he seems to be comfortable and happy in it unlike jimbotnik. Seeing how he talks about his creations being superior to natural life, he feels they're truly superior and prefers how he's more likely to have full control over them in creation and programming than living beings

Considering that he's expressed no desires to exist in the close proximity of anyone besides his own creations or discontentment with his current way of living, I can imagine he only sees living beings as his subjects to rule over when he takes over the world, not to live in close presence. He probably doesn't want any of them ever thinking they could be on his level or worthy of him, so he'd prefer to stay living as an untouchable ruler far above them and not start to mingle with common inferior beings, let alone have a connection with any. It fits him very well

But I think it's still something fun to explore scenarios of in daydreams and fan stuff for me, while considering what his in character interactions would be like if there was a reason for living beings to at least temporarily be around him and him doing gay stuff with them. As he has teamed up with living beings in the games a few times but they never last/are intentionally temporary and I think that's best and makes the most sense for him and wouldn't suddenly change under any circumstances. That's my feelings on it based on what I see

But I'm very happy people are finally considering and embracing gay game Eggman stuff. There's always been plenty of potential in the games alone that people still aren't aware of but the movies are making more open and that's great. Stobotnik isn't one of my biggest ships as it's only official form is in movies I'm not a fan of but I'll take any gay Eggman ship as a fan for 19 years where for most of that time it was rare for him to be shipped with anyone, let alone considered gay. It's nice there's been a shift, all I can ask for is for more with gorgeous game design Eggman!

To answer your second question, it may be pretty obvious now with this post alone and one glimpse at my blog that my favorite version is none other than game Eggman! XD

Both the beautiful modern and classic designs, in every single game and era from beginning to present and future, as he's the exact same guy I know and love across time in all. I'm actually not a fan of most of the versions in non canon adaptions and ones I do like are determined by how alike to the games they are. He's the first one I got to know and love and he'll always be the best!

He was my introduction to the series and he's so handsome, funny, and evil, three most important things about his character that made me fall in love with him. He's always so consistently entertaining and captivating in his characterization in all the games too. I've adored him for 19 years and almost no other version has came close to the passion and adoration he makes me feel

And he's so gorgeous all the time, from his adorable spherical classic design to his sexy egg shaped daddy modern design. He has reached absolute peak perfection in the source! 🥰

☆ i think his regression would likely be involuntary and start after ginny’s passing, he doesn’t know why he does it and likely wouldn’t know about it as a coping mechanism/ trauma response and just think it’s something “weird” he does :(

☆ he keep it private bc he’s afraid of people taking them less seriously than they already do or using it to belittle/manipulate him (cough cough walter white)

☆ so when he’s alone, he finally lets himself be small!!

☆ i think the age he would regress to would probably be around 4-5, but could fluctuate depending on day. all that really matters to him is getting to enjoy being small and safe

☆SONIC!! i absolutely think sonic is a big part of his regression. Watching cartoons, playing the games, and coloring. Sometimes when he’s little he’ll just scribble on coloring pages outside of the lines to relieve stress.

☆ playing with bugs!!!! i hc that he wasn’t allowed to play with bugs when he was little without getting yelled at or being called gross (again adam and diane can burn in hell) so when he regresses he’s able to let himself have that time to play and be curious without punishment. I think he would go looking for caterpillars on a rainy day and just hold them for a little while :)

☆ i don’t think he really uses pacifiers or onesies but for sleep i think he likes to sleep in bigger shirts and some soft pants. (Maybe even one of ginny’s old shirts so he can feel like she’s still there taking care of him)

☆ he watches a lot of cartoons when he’s regressed. I think he likes to pretend his favorite characters are taking care of him when he’s little. Like maybe sonic as his big brother. i know kanga man and rewindo are supposed to reflect him but i also think he treats them like imaginary friends :)

☆sometimes he goes to the store and buys himself some toys he always wanted, like hot wheels, legos, action figures. He tries to act big at the cash register but the second he gets in his car he’s so so excited he’s already ripping off the packaging with the biggest smile :)

☆he LOVES halloween. he really wishes he could trick or treat without judgement but i think he still dresses up, he’ll buy himself the candy and then come home and pretend he had a fun night full of trick or treating and fall asleep watching some old cartoon halloween specials on tv

☆he gets the giggles so bad when he’s regressed, like always laughing at small things. like if he sees a funny commercial on the tv or a funny looking bug he just lets out these big squeaky happy laughs

☆ sorry ending on an angsty note again because apparently i love making myself sick with sadness but i think when hes big and relapses after a period of sobriety he always hides his stuffies so they don’t see and tells them he’s sorry and comes to get them later when he’s little and needs to cry it out :(

After two years in the Sonic fandom (for the third time)

Actually, nothing in the past made me leave the sonic fandom, I gust got caught in other fandoms (the first time after Sonic I started to follow Sailor Moon, the second time it was WWE wrestling.

I guess right now this is my most serious time in Sonic fandom :D.

I learned a bit about fans and Sega itself. The worst disservice you do to yourself is being a purist. SoJ purist, SoA purist, Adventure Purist etc...

Yes, I may sound sometimes like a SA2 purist seeing the reaction of those that try to interact with me, I admit that, is my favourite period. But I like to explore and just choose what I like and ignore what I dislike. No close mind otherwise I might miss something that might be not so bad, especially I would not have fun.

(Sonic Boom is pretty stupid but I had a lot of fun by watching it, I found myself laughing).

It may be overall awkward, but I love the facial expressions. And the models look so smooth.

The issue with being a purist is that, I said it previously in other posts, you will end to not appreciate Sonic anymore. Not even what comes from your side. I saw on youtube how it ends. Fukurou Hoseki, Pariah695, they left the fandom because the Sonic they loved was since long gone, or perhaps he was never there. Anyway Sonic was becoming more and more a source of pain for them. I never followed Pariah695 properly but I used to follow Fukorou Hoseki and I was quite there when she left.

Now I hope it not will end the same with two artist that I like and that happen to be purists. One of them unfortunately is leaning on this direction, he complained more about the new Sonic stuffs and his latest works are rather uninspired. Is unfortunate because I love his works, they're so lovely (he is even a fan VA and his voice is great for Sonic).

Conspiracy theories.

A consipacy theory that run among purists see the evil SoA on one side that never respects what SoJ does.

If that was true, why then SoJ and SoA keep working togheter? It was SEGA who hired, as Sonic writer, Penters, Pontac, Graff and ultimately Flynn. And it was SoJ who followed the English VA, who told David Humphrey who Shadow was and how he was supposed to talk and Ryan Drummond's 'Teriaaaaa!' line (The line was also in Japanese).

The mandates were loosened (luckily) exactly because fans hated them.

Sonic is a SEGA mascot/character, is not a single person's character and it changes accordingly to what the majority of fandom likes/except and accordingly to the 'hystorical' period. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. SEGA, or at least Sonic Team tends to listen to fans more than other companies.

The voice of fans.

In the 2000's, fans called Shadow an emo. Official material often describled him as 'clever' 'silent' and 'distressed' but he was, overall a flexible character to work with. Fanarts and meme of Shadow doing self harm or saying openly he wished to die weren't so rare.

Shadow truly ended up to having suicidal though/ideation (although he was pretty much suicidal even before) and to do invisible self harm (having him doing physical self harm would be too much). Original Shadow had his moments, but he looked at life with a hint of hope.

Popularity.

The reason Sonic is not so popular in Japan is because of the design of the character. in Japan, cute/plushy characters are more popular. And also, in Japan human characters are more popular than humanized beasts. In the west and other places the thing is more balanced. I guess the Gijinka trend is a bit linked to this (Not all people that draw gijinkas are Japanese but they seems to have a more Japanese/like tastes. for myself I can say I always disliked the cartoon four fingers hand and prefer the 5 fingers hand even in cartoon characters, but I'm not a fan of gijinkas.

This is what Japaneses mean with 'Furry' or 'Anthro'.

Sonic borrows a lot from early Disney. Well, at least they have 5 fingers in their hand. The blobby fingerless feet come from Mickey Mouse (and I hate them, honestly).

Many purists think Sonic is hated in Japan. That's not true. Is just it doesn't meet average Japanese tastes but the fans are there too. And the fandom is active.

(This was in 2005 and so, but surely the artist is Japanese and did some nice arts. You can find more recent art by Japanese artists on Pinterest)

Maekawa brought them in Japan because he though it was a nice touch.

My issues with lines comparision

One thing I noticed from fans that compare the lines is that they take a single Japanese line and share. I see a lot of focus on the line alone and not on what is around or where it comes from.

They might be worded differently, but, at least to me, the overall message doesn't change. Perhaps I'm looking at the big picture. I always did when I watched anime, both in Italian and in Japanese.

My question is the likes of: 'What Shadow is trying to say? What he does means?' and not 'How does he say this?'.

Might be my cultural background. It matters.

Southern/Western Europe, (France, Italy, Spain ect...) Asia, Africa and latin America have a higher context culture. North and central Europe (example Switzerland, England, Scandinavia), North America are lower context to they might be more sensitive to changes.

If Ian Flynn is so verbose while Shiro Maekawa is way more subtle, is exactly because of their cultural background. Higher context culture put words in relation to space, what is happening and what happened before. Lover context culture focus especially on words on their own. Don't you think in the first picture you virtually only need what's written in the balloons while in the second picture you start to look more or at least ask for the rest to find clues about what's going on?

Pretty much i'm enjoying Sonic. I don't enjoy everything of course,there are things I like and things (such as the IDW comics) that I dislike. I would also suggest to look at what the fandom does, there are nice stuffs.

I honestly do not worry much about canon/non canon since is something that keeps changing.

The first time he saw you you were dancing. The sparkling of your black dress had caught his attention, drawing his eyes past the flashing strobe lights and crowd of writhing bodies straight towards you. It was almost like you were calling out to him, telling him to watch.

And so he did. He watched as you twirled and swayed and moved with the music, dancing with wild abandon. Your dancing wasn’t particularly skilled, but there was something so raw, so real, about the way you moved. Something that compelled the viewer to want to get to know you.

But Geto Suguru was not known for his forwardness when it came to interacting with women, particularly pretty women. So week after week he returned to watch you dance, always from a distance, never approaching you. In that time, he was only able to learn three things about you.

One: you were always wearing what he came to identify as your signature red lipstick. It was a unique shade, equal parts dark and bright that drew attention to the shape of your mouth. And he paid a lot of attention to your mouth.

Fighting back his intrusive thoughts and vivid imagination he watched your mouth move as you sang along to songs. He watched the way your lips parted when you threw your head back, exposing the long column of your throat when you were fully immersed in a song. He always watched you, entranced by your spirit.

Two: you went to the club to dance every Friday night. It took him a little while to figure that out, but once he did he made sure he was always free on Friday.

And finally, three: you were always alone. In the months he had spent watching you, he had never seen someone with you. You arrived alone, and you left alone. You didn’t seem like someone who would be hard pressed for friends, so this oddity only served to pique his interest more.

She was hard to ignore

Yes she was

He didn’t realize how much he had come to depend on his weekly sightings of you until you stopped showing up. For four weeks straight there was no sign of you, and it was unnerving. He immediately jumped to worst case scenarios and feared he would never see you again.

As soon as that thought entered his head, he immediately regretted not approaching you sooner. God he was such an idiot. He should have gotten to know you when he still had the chance, when you still showed up every week, instead of being such a goddamn coward. He promised himself that if he ever did see you again, he wouldn’t let his anxiety get the better of him. Next time he saw you he would say something.

So when he walked in the fifth week of you not being there and spotted you, he made a beeline straight towards where you were dancing, not allowing himself a chance to second-guess himself.

“Excuse me!” He has to shout to get your attention, and he taps you on the shoulder for good measure. You turn, and his breath catches in his chest when your eyes finally meet his. “U-uh hi.”

You squint at him, then your eyes light up in recognition. “It’s you!! Stalker guy! Finally grew some balls and approached me, huh?”

Stalker guy?!? You think he’s been stalking you? Well, technically he was, but he wasn’t trying to be creepy or anything. He just found you intriguing. He opens his mouth to say as much, but you cut him off with a laugh.

“Oh my god, the look on your face!!” You wheeze, folding over with the force of your mirth. Straightening you wipe a tear away and catch your breath. “Don’t worry. I didn’t think you were creepy or anything.”

You lean in, so close he can feel your breath hitting the shell of his ear, causing a full body shudder to run through him. “In fact, I was a little flattered that a man as attractive as you would go out of their way to watch little ol’ me.”

“Come outside with me.” He blurts before he can stop the words from leaving his mouth. Surprised, you jerk back a bit and peer into his face and he can tell your guard was up. “Why…?”

Realizing how it sounded, he immediately backtracked. “No no, I just mean I want to talk! To get to know you. I’ve regretted not getting your number for the last couple of weeks and you seem really interesting and I’m so sorry that is not how I meant it-”

“Okay.” Your simple reply cuts through his flustered rambling. “I’d like to get to know you too.”

And as you take his hand and lead him outside, a thrill runs through him, and he can’t help but wonder if every second with you was going to be this entertaining.

Well, time tastes bland

When she's not around

Stepping out into the cool night air, the two of you stand there for a moment taking in the refreshing feel of the breeze.

“So.” You glance over your shoulder at him. “I don’t know what you had in mind, but I’m in the mood for a drive. What do you say? I didn’t drink and my car is right over there.” You gesture towards the left, in the direction of a volkswagen beetle.

“Sure. Sounds good to me.” He smiles at you. He always takes a taxi to the club in case he has a drink, so it’s not like there’s anything keeping him there. “Shall we?”

You grin at him and skip off to your car. His heart skips a beat, and all he can think about is what he has to do to make you grin like that again. He could look at your smile all day. However, his internal simping was cut off by you yelling.

“Motherfucker!” You’re staring at the side of your car, then turn your furious gaze on the Cadillac parked haphazardly next to you. Hurrying over, he looks at what you’re looking at and understands why you’re upset. The car next to you had left a long scratch on the driver’s side of your car when pulling in, and instead of leaving their information, they had left a post-it. A post-it with a cheeky ‘sorry’ scrawled across it hastily.

“Sorry??!” You growl, rage radiating off you. “If you were sorry you would fucking pay for it!!!”

And before he can intervene, you let out a cry of rage and rip the side mirror of the offending car. For a moment all is silent and the two of you just stare at the mirror in your hands. You, with perplexed satisfaction, and him with shock.

Eventually you break the stunned silence. “Well, the asshole had it coming.” His eyes snap up to meet yours and the two of you dissolve into hysterical laughter.

Yep. Things were never boring when you were around.

And she snapped

The particularly pretty ones

He can tell you’re up to something when a flash of mischief crosses your face and you unlock your car. He watches with anticipation as you fish your tube of lipstick, a sticky note, and a ballpoint pen out of your glove compartment.

Quickly, you reapply your lipstick and kiss the mirror, leaving an imprint of your lips on it before balancing it on the windshield of the Cadillac. Then you spin around and write something on the sticky note, not letting him see what it says before slapping it on the car next to the mirror and getting into your own car. Gesturing for him to get in the passenger seat, you wait until he’s in and buckled before peeling out of the lot.

You glance over at him, and as soon as you make eye contact the two of you are howling with laughter again. Once he calmed down enough to speak, he asked what you wrote on the post it note between gasping peals of laughter.

“Oh, that?” You smirk. “So sorry about your car!! I didn’t want to have to bend down to reapply my lipstick.”

“No you didn’t.” You look at him solemnly. “I did.”

The two of you were sent into yet another fit of laughter, the sound ringing out from your car, filling the cool night air with your joy.

When she was putting her lippy on

While that night had been the first you spent hanging out and driving around aimlessly, it certainly wasn’t the last. There was something addictive about you, from the way you simply didn’t care what others thought, to the sound of your laugh. God, he could spend the rest of his life listening to your laugh.

Throughout the course of the many nights spent causing mischief and laughing he got to see the different sides of you. Sure, he was first interested in you because of how carefree and wild you were, but as he got to know you better, he realized that that was but one facet of your incredibly complex personality.

You could be mischievous and wild and carefree, sure, but you were also immensely kind, as well as insanely smart and you had a melancholy side at times. But your complexity only added to his growing feelings towards you.

While it was your wild side that ensnared him at first, it was you as a complicated and messy whole that made him fall in love. And he couldn’t have been happier that you trapped his heart at first sight because if you hadn’t he wouldn’t have met the person he wants to spend the rest of his life with.
