I've been thinking. I'm on tumblr way too much and want to make better use of my time but I do want to look at art and fandom stuff and queer discussions and things like that when I have time to kill. And unfortunately I really can't think of a better alternative than tumblr for all that.
I downloaded a rss feed reader but I don't have enough ideas of what to put in there and it feels more like something made to not miss an update or article rather than to have something to look at to kill time. It's technically not a bad thing since the goal is also to look at my phone less, and I could also kill time by reading random Wikipedia articles for exemple. But I think I'd still miss out on fandom. A forum like in the old days could be a good replacement but the downside is that it'd be fandom specific and I switch fandoms often.
Tumblr tagging system and the ability to add on posts with reblogs are just so good for community! I can't think of anything else having something like that.
The thing I'd add would be more customization of the dashboard. I saw some people suggest the creation of tabs with only posts with a specific tag from people I follow.
That'd be perfect for me to focus on what I really want to see and not just scroll for scrolling! Unfortunately that's exactly the kind of thing that social media has no interest in adding since it might go toward less time on the app. Unless they paywall it.
Still, I'd rather find an open source website so that there's no fear of losing it someday because some stockholders finally decided the site loses too much money.

I think I should start dying my hair more before I cut it all off. Lately I've gotten into a pattern of cutting my hair to be like an 1 ½ or 2 inches long, then growing it out to like 7+ inches all around, and then chopping it all off again. And recently I've wanted to dye my hair again but I don't know if I'm gonna run into a position where some job or whatever isn't gonna like hire people that have unnatural hair colors and then have to get rid of it/leave the job so like. If I dye it before I get to the phase of chopping it all off, then if I get in that problem I can cut it all off like I wanted to anyways since it's getting a little too long for my liking. Or maybe I'm caring too much about some job and should dye my hair whenever. I don't know.
#I've had it purple before and red before and I've really liked those. I will probably go back to those some day.#And it wasn't bright colorss or anything cause i don't ever bleach my hair first.#And I've veen told my hair is a pretty dark shade of brown.#But I've always wanted to try blue or green as well. And honestly I have thought about black before as well.#I've been thinking about going for green a lot lately and I think I'm really leaning towards it but I'm just not fully there yet.#And I'm still bouncing around if maybe I want to revisit red or purple first. Cause yes i wanna do blue and green at some point.#But I don't need to follow an 'order'. I can just. 'we hate shipping-focused fandom!'#well one thing about me love to make characters have insane sex. i do not follow these practices in my own life.#i tend to find real-life discussions of sex and romance generally unpleasant; but this is something you sort of just have to deal with.#but i love shipping. air that i breathe. i love to read romance. and full-m smut. love to write or draw them kissing.#i also like when characters murder each other ; or talk to ghosts ; or drive without seatbelts ; i should note i also#don't practice these things or in most cases condone them!#to me – this is just another aspect of fiction that is separate to my real-life experience. it's no more inherently#positive or negative than anything else characters do.#i don't find love to be something that is fundamental to the human condition but it is a big; broad human story. and a compelling one!#anyways. that's my speech. thanks for the on-sale chocolate allos.

i'm trying not to bitch too much about good omens fan theories on here, because while there are quite a lot that i really don't vibe with for a variety of reasons, i do understand that people have a right to interpret the characters and events however they like, even if their analyses don't appeal to me personally.
but that being said... if you're seriously trying to argue that maggie can't be human because she doesn't drink alcohol/didn't go to parties as a teenager/is [insert common neurodivergent trait here], then i'm begging you to think critically for one second about what you're implying there.

I thought everyone understood that.#a really big part of the last 5-8ish years for me as been digging around in church history poking at augustine and anselm#and all those guys#(though I haven't read any of them in-depth yet; was too busy killing myself in an attempt to save money for college)#so like. happy 4/13 who's your favorite character from homedstuck
Happy 4/13 to you as well anon! Now that it is the dinner break for our Pathfinder session I can sit down and answer this. Disclaimer that I have not reread more than like the first two acts of Homestuck since high school, but my inclination? It's still Terezi. Basic ass answer, I know. But it's basic for a reason and that is that Terezi rules. I love that future sight weird girl so much!!! She's so fun and able to project so much confidence, and the fraught relationship she has with Vriska (especially pre-Scratch) is delicious. Especially since it leads up to one of the scenes in Homestuck I consider most memorable, where she kills Vriska. That shit is beautiful. And despite my, uh, various feelings about the later arcs of Homestuck, Terezi setting up the retcons is awesome. I fucking love a prophetic chessmaster. Rewriting reality through John to create the world where they win and laying down in the old timeline to die... she's so cool to me for real, obsessed. Also in terms of cool I love all the dragons and I love the sword cane obviously on all fucking levels she RADIATES kid who you just want to BE. Also I just love a bitch who's always working so hard to be annoying and unsettling. Goals.
Easy second favorite is Roxy, the superior alpha kid. Similar reasons haha. When I took my pre-college exams my little sibling drew me a picture of the two of them together for good luck :) I still have it, somewhere.

#Doodles#Original#Another idea smol and I are working on together :D Been a bit!#She came up with the concept on this one and I fell in love with it <3 She's very cool hehe#If you're familiar with the game Minit it has Something of a similar premise - not the same strict time pressure but yes on the time loop#Y'ever notice how in some games it seems like the wandering trader or traveling shop seems to come upon you rather than the other way around#:3c Hm ♪ Wonder how they'd know where you were gonna be :3c#The crux is that you play as the weapons shop owner and you're responsible for supplying the hero and his team with weapons!#Except the BBEG has gotten wise to how the hero keeps defeating him and it sick of it - so the shop owner is cursed to be in a time loop!#I love the concept <3 It sounds so fun to play in and there's still plenty of room to think about the mechanics and how it would be played#As well as the art design! :D#We threw around some character concepts - she's really into Baldur's Gate 3 at the moment so of course they had some influence in hers hehe#Only got the starting party for the moment but there are plans for a full team of 4 plus the shopkeep >:3c And various other NPCs lol#A lot of the gameplay would basically boil down to being a bartering simulator hehe ♪#Very RPG trade-this-for-that style quests - under a time limit! Hehe#Since it's the type of game that pretty much requires replaying sections time-loop-style it's all about how quickly you can trial and error#And then hightail it to where you need to be lol#I think we were also tossing around a nap mechanic to skip right to the time loop reset in case you mess up a run haha#I gotta get back to Majora's Mask at some point I swear#We still have a good bit of concept work to do on the art side of things - she's also been really into pixel art lately and I love pixel art#I also managed to pick up a full release of one of the RPGMakers :D So that's an exciting possibility!#I haven't learned most of its ins and outs yet but I do know About importing custom assets at the very least >:3c#Same with Novelty and I haven't done that yet either lol - all in due time! Mmgmskj I'm pulling a postcard down off the wall and handing it to you. God needs heaven to herself for the day so she kicks out Stylus and sends him to go hang out with Sona, who's doing vampire stuff. Bonding shenanigans ensue.
It's the anniversary of his death and he spends all of it in his mortal form/disguise. This has about the effect you'd think it would for someone who struggles with processing their emotions.
