I'm still working out the order of their ages.. So far I have decided that Ludwig is the oldest. And I'm leaning on Iggy being right below him, the second to oldest.

I'm solid on Bowser JR being the youngest, and Lemmy being right above him, the second to youngest. As for everyone else though..? I'm still trying to figure it out.

Thinking that Roy and Morton are on the older side, and Wendy and Larry are on the younger side. I just don't quite know what the order will be-

Now Bowser is complicated. Originally I wanted Bowser to be this ruthless monster. Both as a King and as a Dad.. But I made that Bowser around when the Movie trailers were all the hype. And boy, I hated how Bowser was shaping up to be. So my rotten Bowser was mostly just to make him more intimidating then the movie Bowser.

Since then I've settled down and thought that a purely evil Bowser is not that interesting.. or lore accurate. So I began to lean on him being a rather good dad, if not emotionally awkward.

....buuut then I saw the movie, and now I'm back on the Bowser hate train <XDD I guess right now its up in the air. He's not meant to be intentionally abusive or awful to his kids though. I'm thinking that maybe the gentle fatherly side of Bowser was usually brought out by his wife.. Since she's gone now.. well.. I guess he's a little emotionally absent at the least-

As strictly a King, I'm thinking that he's pretty rough. At least he's more ruthless than he may have been before. I guess a way to describe him as King would be.. The health and safety of his people are not his #1 concern. The strength of his kingdom and his position of power however, is. Though this Bowser is subject to change.. :/

That sounds really fun actually! And normally I could see that happening.. though unfortunately, some of the structures I have set up in my AU make this scenario less likely..

For one, I intended for healing magic to be extremely complex and very difficult to master. And its intended to always leave a mark of some kind. A warning that Kamek gives to Lemmy and Iggy is something along the lines of "Whether you are healing, or destroying. Magic will always leave a scar." That's why Iggy's eyes look so strange and half of Lemmy's face and hair is discolored. The act of repairing their eyes left a mark on them..

What I mean by this, is that Kamek couldn't just turn around and heal them after every sparring session. Because it is very challenging to heal with magic and they would both be left with scars.. So they would both have to heal naturally over time after sparring. And considering that the Commander has a very important job, it would be wise to not tire him out or injure for the sake of some emotional relief.. :(

Although.. there could be a more mild version of this perhaps? Where the commander is involved in Bowser's training.? But not as his opponent. Perhaps he flies up high and chucks projectiles at Bowser for him to deflect. But not really getting involved on a way beyond that where he becomes overly exhausted or inured.

...Now for the Koopalings?? Dude, that's genius. Bowser is a hefty opponent and is sure to exhaust Commander and possibly even injure him.. But the Koopalings?? Commander would make a GREAT sparring partner for nearly all of them! :00

Specifically I can see him sparing with Morton, Roy, Ludwig and possibly Iggy. (The older Koopalings primarily) Whether its just muscle against muscle or being Iggy's target practice, I think he'd make a great sparring partner for the youngins :}}

No really this is good, honestly you anons are helping write the best voxal fanfic with me as well speak. I think after I finish my current writing coms today then I'll start on this story. It honestly sounds really fun and I'm a bit of a slow burn kinda gal with a passion for angst so this is definitely up my alley.

The idea of Adam coming in? Mwah!

Like imagine the way Alastor freezes the moment Adam says that stuff about going after Vox and especially before Vox finds himself having to defend the vees. Bro doesn't even know what's going on at first and that he's basically one of the reasons it's happening. Imagine his shock if Alastor does hunt him down before the angels get there, both confusion AND relief showing on his face just to see Alastor. Though there's also annoyance.

"ugh! I could have handle a few angels Alastor!" He growls after Alastor grabs them after fighting and imagine something like after Alastor saves them he and Vox are having this argument just for Vox to stop when it seems Alastor did in fact take some damage.

"a few isn't tons Vox." Alastor would most like his back while cradling a wound and Vox might as well be the one to help him clean it up, matter of fact he has too because everyone is rather fearful of the pair. Alastor doesn't want anyone to deal with the wound like a stubborn dog unless it's Vox and this could leave them a lot of time just to sit with each other. It's silent as Vox carefully cleans his wounds, gentle and careful not to do anything that would hurt even more and then as he's looking over Alastor's body he'll glare at nothing halfheartedly, brows burrowed in confusion and annoyance.

"why'd you do something so stupid?" He'll ask and I can see Alastor's ear twitching. Vox basically asks him what's his problem. Why'd he go out there to fight so many angels and over HIM of all people? He's both flattered and a bit unnerved.

If Alastor really did all that to help him then maybe he SHOULD go back to the hotel just to keep an eye on Alastor's healing though maybe it's just a way to get closer because though Vox being Alastor's soul mate is life changing on his own, knowing and seeing Alastor after such a fight and touching his wounds really manages to draw Vox in. Like he wants to be with Alastor in the same bed and everything as he heals.

I wanna say Alastor will heal with no issue but imagine a case where he doesn't. Where the angel blades hold off his healing for just long enough to where Vox is actually worried over the other man.

This could be an interesting part to rebuild their connection. Seeing Alastor almost die while showing Hell that Vox BELONGS TO HIM really makes the TV demon flustered and more than he's ever been before. (Vox likes knowing Alastor is possessive enough to literally have a battle of his own with heaven. It makes him feel special and more than he ever has before)

I'd like to say this situation really convinces Vox but with their history he's worried about getting too close even though he wants to.

He's scared of falling in love with Alastor because what it its 'not the right time' again?

Vox is definitely an over thinker in this case, will sit through the healing process for Alastor but maybe he finds Alastor's words to be a fluke? Did he really mean it? Yeah he almost DIED but he couldn't possibly- he definitely means it.

They've had their history but Vox is a runner now and Alastor wants to chase him. After all, who could know him better than his old friend and whether Vox likes it or not no one would DARE (especially after the shocking announcement that they are soulmates) take Alastor's destined spot in his life.

And what WG episode with Tobecky is my favorite? Hmm...toughie. There's some episodes, obviously, that have Tobey in them, but I don't consider Tobecky moments immediately (example: Field Day Fun with Robo-Tobey).

And to narrow it down... Okay damn it's tough again. Because I love their banter in By Jove and the hint that he's been getting a crush on Becky, but they have more sillier softer moments in season 1 episodes like Department and Seen The Remote. But Robot Problem has them actually team up, and it's the first episode where I started to ship them. BUT--Its My Party has them actually get ice cream after years of build-up and Tobey coming to his senses moments. And of course, Thanksgiving Dinner with them actually smiling at each other for one, HOWEVER, Trustworthy Tobey with being his last focus episode where he's strictly not being the worst and maybe turning reasoble along with it being Becky and Tobey conflict and not him and Wordgirl (PLUS THE NOTE UGHH)--

But for the sake of answering this....I'll go with right now...AHHH, it's gonna go to Trustworthy Tobey. It's what I'm feeling right now. Mostly cause... I remember when I did my Wordgirl re-watch in late 2017 that got me into the fandom again and started this years long hyperfixation. I was dreading the last Tobey episode/last Tobecky moments we'll get. You see, I liked the season 7 and 8 Tobey episodes, but man, ever since season 1, it's been hard trying to justify this kid when he gets washed like every episode and so I was like "plss be good" or at least give me hope for his character cause I didn't want him to regress. And what do you know...hope! Sure, he's still an immature jerk that's still in character, but at least he wasn't extreme or not immediately dismissive. He actually kept up being truthful and Becky learned something, not to mention he doesn't get scott-free either and this time the most he does is just unleash a malfunctioning robot to a library and not like destroy buildings or attempt to kill people.

Plus, I find it extremely interesting the dialog and moments he has with Becky as Becky and not Wordgirl. Because call me silly but to me peak Tobecky is when he interacts with Becky as herself and not just Wordgirl--the ship name isn't Wordbey after all. Plus again the note YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH THAT SCREWED WITH ME WHEN I SAW IT. Because another factor to why I hold up this episode so highly...even though Robot Problem/Have you seen the Remote is what got me to officially ship them...this episode is what inspired me to make a lot of my Wordgirl and Tobecky content. Cause it filled my imagination in what their relationship and Tobey's character could go next and there was no new Tobey episode to contradict it tehe. It drove me to read fanfiction. Start drawing on my dingy phone with FlipaClip. Start drabbles that I never posted. Interact with others. It...kinda drove me crazy? Like it legit didn't make me okay, but hey it's why I consider it personally my favorite.

What drew Vaz and Crulexs to their love interests? Was there an instant connection between them, or was it more of a gradual build-up? What's their favorite things about their respective LIs?

Vaz: Well. You see. To say Vaz had an easy time romancing anyone is absolutely mad men talk. Everywhere Vaz went for comfort, he either ended up being used, failure in general, or turned away for another...even before the whole, losing his memories thing.

All my durges have had a fling with Gortash. So Vaz, naturally, had a thing with Gortash for a time. But uh...well. That thing was incredibly one-sided and Gortash would use it for his own benefit. Vaz never got any pussy or kisses from him, to put it frankly. But he did do a lot of lil missions for Gortash anyways.

Vaz's second fling was with a tiefling named Levi. The two were on the nautiloid together and everything. Levi heard him out on his dark urges and ushered him into doing the Right thing instead of what the urges wanted. It was a match made in heaven! ...Until the tiefling party. Where Vaz clumsily wandered around without an idea what to do, and his dear friend Levi slipped away with Gale instead of him. The next morning he saw them kiss and he went into the seven stages of denial immediately. Both of them ended up as cellmates so...yay!

Vaz's third fling was with Halsin. It uh...didn't go too well. Vaz was pulled in by all the druidic talk and he just wanted to feel normal. He just wanted to feel like a normal druid too. But it didn't work out. They partook in one sexual encounter and it ended up with Vaz crying and a bad experience for the both of them. They didn't talk a lot after it and Vaz practically avoided everyone for days afterwards.

And finally... Vaz's last fling. The Emperor. Yeah, you can probably guess how that turned out. They both managed to get through their sexual encounter though! Vaz enjoyed being safe from his urges inside the dream world (??) with the Emperor. The Emperor enjoyed tightening their bond together so Vaz wouldn't turn on him or, really, convince Levi to turn against him. And just to exert a bit more control over Vaz, the Emperor lured several of their companions to see the aftermath. And then willed away their memories of the encounter. Only to send Vaz into a breakdown a few days later with the thoughts of 'Has he ever wiped my memory?'. He didn't go back for seconds with calamari.

The biggest departure from the original questions EVER!!!!! YIPPEE!!

Anyways, next.

Crulexs: His name is an anagram for cruel sex. This was not on purpose, but I've taken it to heart. Everything about him is related to his 'cruel sex'. He is the embodiment of toxic masculinity. And, in that toxic masculinity, certain types of people are drawn into him.

Gortash was incredibly drawn into him. I have a fic in the works (in my mind) of just how drawn into Crulexs this man was. The big burly scaly cleric who looked down on him? Yeah that got him. He had a big stupid crush on Crulexs that wouldn't go away no matter how many times he tried to crush it (ha). Thankfully, it wasn't unrequited. However he found that out in the worse way possible. With Crulexs kidnapping him and taking him into the Bhaalist Temple in order to wed the both of them together. Under the blessing of Bane as well. What's a little bit of tyranny without a forced wedding to strengthen a union? He would've stayed down in that temple if it wasn't for his bodyguard, Karlach, saving him. (This is a retelling of Persephone's Abduction because i am literally insane.)

Of course, Gortash still saw Crulexs. Just, not bound in the Bhaalist temple and having to do weird blood rituals with him. Wasn't his thing, you see. They're still married, in the Bhaalist traditional manner, whatever the fuck that means.

Unfortunately...it all had to end somehow.

After his betrayal to the hands of Orin, after his memories had all left him, Crulexs was a different man. Even Bhaal saw him differently, though he wasn't...practically looking at him. An avenger against all that was evil, Crulexs roamed the land looking for those to strike down. Along the way, he meet a variety of companions, and specifically, he met Wyll Ravengard, the man who could win his heart.

It wasn't a challenge or anything. Most of the people that knew Crulexs weren't...really wanting to kiss him. The others who did were mostly wanting him because he was..a big, burly scaly paladin. Most, however, were put off by the whole silent and toxic masc bit.

Wyll, however, saw in him a lot more than that. He saw someone with similar ideals to him, and someone who was just as devoted. He managed to spring up more...less toxic masculinity into Crulexs as well. Little poems that Wyll would write hidden in his tent. And would do his best into slipping into the silliest places that Crulexs would find them. Into his boots, into his gloves, into his bedroll. Do I ship it: I do not. (Tim Allen AHUUUAHH?) But on a single day of the year my aversion to it lessens and I'm able to retweet art of them kinda smooching so my tolerance is overall getting better, maybe? lol

Why don't I: There are many factors... I like mutually destructive toxic mess ships, right? We've established that. But I don't like ships in which one person is doing all the hurting and the other person ends up, uh. Like XXC did. "But DJ I thought you were the fixit king" I am! It's just not exactly appealing to me, and the other big factor as to why is that I just... Never really saw them that way. Like even removing their canon storyline and only leaving their dynamic, which removed from context is lovely don't get me wrong, it never registered as romantic. It registered as XXC looking out for his goofy little brother, you know? I dunno. There's nothing there for me, sorry. "But DJ the devotion" yeah. There are many ways to love someone. Even if that were romantic, it's too onesided for me.

What would have made me like it: If they actually liked each other LMAO I have no issue with the thought of them loving each other, just not romantically! Outside of canon they're pretty much cemented as family in my brain, though very rarely I'll maybe entertain the idea of some sort of QPP dynamic but then it slingshots right back into family again. Just friends who really love each other and tried to do the do only to find out they don't see each other that way is the furthest I'm willing to go for them and this is a HUGE leap from where I was a year ago LOL

A positive: I appreciate that a lot of people just really want them to love each other. Maybe try and find some healing in all the mess. I get what that's like.

Do I ship it: I'm in the process of being converted, we will see how it goes! Kind of sucks this game doesn't have a maybe option so I'll make up the questions myself

What's drawing me to it: I, like you, was originally like "naur Song Lan has his man already thanks, and after he fixes him he's going to bed", but one of my close friends made the very good point that just because he's on a quest doesn't mean he can't be loved on the side, too! So I'd like to see Song Lan get loved on, and Lan Xichen deserves this, too, and I think stories about processing grief are very potent

Things I like about it: It seems this ship is about healing oneself and each other, and I'm a big fan of that! Both characters also complement each other well, with each having characteristics of someone the other has loved before (i.e. NMJ's righteousness, XXC's gentle energy). I also think canon gave them really sad endings, and in LXC's case it's a bit of a bitter one, too. SL's is at least bittersweet so sharing the joy is nice 🥺

What would seal the deal: Strong characterization aligned with my view of the characters! Being in character goes a long way for me, so if you've got them down pat, then I'll be more likely to give it a chance. If you add that they've both been in love before and that they're not looking for a replacement then we're set! (:

K - What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?

I think people often overlook how much comic Spider-Gwen grows over the course of her series, but it's one of the reasons I love that run so much. Okay, she's still kind of schlubby and chronically late for things, but in the course of... three years? She does something that Peter Parker took decades to do (and keeps waffling) which is to reveal herself publicly and face the music for any crimes she committed as Spider-Woman (specifically the death of Peter Parker). I think a lot of superhero books are able to keep running on the same drama because they keep letting the hero *just barely* outrun the consequences of their actions, or if they do, they keep going back and forth on who knows their identity etc etc. If being a Spider-Person is about responsibility, I think Gwen really did the best job of stepping up to the plate.

N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice).

For Daredevil: Oh man, you don't even know (ok, actually, you specifically probably do know haha) how much I'd like to see more DD crossover with mutant characters, specifically Nightcrawler. I JUST THINK THEY COULD HAVE SOME GOOD CHARACTER BUILDING MOMENTS, and while Nightcrawler is like... a guy pretty much everyone likes, I think he's under utilized in fanfic. HE'S A GOOD DUDE. And boy howdy his recent comic events have made him a very... meaty character. I'm hoping his upcoming stint as Spider-Man gives people more ideas for stuff to do with him.

Maybe comic edits? Serious ones or funny ones. There are some very talented people out there doing neat things with all this classic art and I'm always in awe. I dabble, but struggle a lot with creating wholly new things as opposed to just cleaning up images. I love show edits, but the problem with pretty much any live action media fandom is that you end up seeing the same clips over and over because there's only so much to draw from.

This is a silly one, but people should do more mattfoggy animatics to dialogue from episodes of House. I don't know why the algorithm started pushing clips of that show to me but there have been so many times I was like "is this not just lifted from like... the Bendis run or something?" haha

O - Choose a song at random. Which ship or character does it remind you of?

I went to my 2022 recap and picked the 28th song. It's "I'll Still Have Me" by Cyn which I almost feel is a cheat for me because I'm pretty sure I've put this on prompt lists specifically. This song (about losing your loved one either via death or a relationship that naturally came to its end) is so sweet and sad, and it puts me in mind of Foggy from season 3 of Daredevil when he thinks Matt is dead and is still trying to process it and move on with his life.

P - Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas).

Isekai where Foggy gets transported to a magical land where everyone is convinced he's doing to save the kingdom but it's very clear that it's all of his companions (the Defenders etc) who have amazing abilities and he's wondering how he got here and how long he can keep this up.

W - A trope which you are virtually certain to hate in any fandom.

HMM. Hate is a strong word... I just y'know, don't click on things or block the tag but... I usually pass on genderswap fics? Not really out of any strong feelings (I think art can be interesting because I like seeing how costumes are reinterpreted a lot of the time). I just... don't have the interest. One that is sometimes harder to avoid is when someone drops a full ass song into the middle of a fic (a few lines of lyrics are fine) and it doesn't have anything to do with the narrative, the author was just really feeling their girly bop feels that day. It takes me right out of the story and I pass over the lyrics 99.9% of the time.

X - A trope which you are almost certain to love in any fandom.

It's probably because I live in a place that's roughly as hot as the surface of the sun but I go WEAK IN THE KNEES for any story where character A has been in the cold for too long and character B has to help them get warm again. Can be an actual danger-of-hypothermia situation or a "you really thought a snowball fight was a good idea" situation, it's all good.

Y - What are your secondhand fandoms (i.e., fandoms you aren’t in personally but are tangentially familiar with because your friends/people on your dash are in them)?

I will send my memes friends for Hannibal, Stranger Things (which I watched and enjoyed, I'm just not in the fandom for it) and the occasional DC property. Things I know just enough about to go "oh that's a funny one".

Z - Just ramble about something fan-related, go go go! (Prompts optional but encouraged.)

This is silly, but I'm so happy so many buddies are jumping on the Spider-Gwen panel redraw! It's fun to see how people's styles vary and what techniques they use to get a desired effect. Kind of feels like I'm back in art class and twenty kids are drawing the same bowl of fruit, y'know?

🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

Hmm! Well, Snarry, as often as I can 😂 Even in fics where they don't get a mention, please believe that I tried my darnedest! 🤣

But other than my truly incurable Snarry obsession...

With imagery, I like to slip in things that I love, be they actual physical appearances, or used as descriptors. So say...fruit (hence HP Fruit Fest 🙈), flowers...those might be more noticeable, but I also...hmm.

Trying to think of how to explain. But I am a lady with big feelings. So there's this desire to portray intensity (thus my draw to fairly intense characters), and how obsession can drive and consume. I want it to feel really powerful (in itself) and for my characters to feel relatively powerless. So, while I don't know if the end product looks it, but it's often shaped by initial ideas of...natural disasters, I think. My mind always jumps to "is this a hurricane, is this a tornado, is this a wildfire or a volcano, etc." and moving from there. Is it hot, is it suffocating, is it cold, is it endless, is it claustrophobic, etc.

Part of it is the sort of powerlessness to nature, and part of it is the brutality and beauty found in nature. There's the link to the senses, and the physical world, due to my Taurus Sun + Venus (c'mon, we all know I'm a very passionate astro-lady!) And my love of astrology birthing my love of the alchemical elements. To your fire, earth, air, and water. And trying, if possible, to link any elemental imagery to what exists in a given character's birth chart.

So perhaps this craving to portray natural disasters is what shapes my work; perhaps I don't mention a tornado anywhere, but I promise, a tornado swept through and rocked my world when writing it! Whereas things like the colorful fruity and floral descriptions are color painted on top.

So, regarding feels, I often go for intensity and passion and obsession and agony. And all the inner turmoil I can cram in, baby! How we can be our own worst enemies. How we can tear ourselves to shreds. And how, however independent we try to be, we are forever at the mercy of the world around us. Beholden to those we love. Beholden to society, and how life carries on around us.

Sort of showcasing this really bleak lack of control in a way that, for me, feels like taking control. A way to sort of make sense of chaos by putting it to words. But maybe this belongs more in my therapist's office than Tumblr 😂

I really love playing with dichotomies a lot. Love and hate. Enemies and lovers. Good and evil. Purity and sin. Beauty and ugliness. I love watching things clash and break and make a mess, but also finding in that mess where they connect. While also, in a way, exploring and processing a lot of the very black and white that feels like I can't escape. It's everywhere! So for me, casting a harsh light on any subject feels the best way for me to dive in and play with it. Which works here, with the idea of dichotomies, but also with...

Character flaws. Yes, my favorite subject! I've probably rattled on enough about flawed characters in my time so I'll try not to get too carried away 😂 But for me, I lean hard into the flaws. It feels that, often, flaws are painted over or smoothed down. A note to make for the sake of having flaws without really having them present. Or having only a polite list of "acceptable" flaws.

But for me, I'm all about acknowledging and embracing these things. I want to openly love these characters, and these people, unabashed and unashamed. "You say Severus Snape is a dickhead?? Why yes, yes he is, and I love and adore him and have devoted my life to him, thank you very much."

So it's always the goal to sort of...be merciless, in some ways, giving no shadows to hide in. But doing it with so much love and grace and passion. I want my readers to know that I know these characters, good and bad, and that I love them wholly.

Anyway, I clearly have many feelings about many things which probably says a lot. 🤣 If you've made it this far, 10 points to your Hogwarts house.

seeing your pfp + url combination under a twst post gave me such a jolt omg... i've been out of the pjo fandom for a very long time but it's so cool seeing another twst & pjo liker! I still dip my toes back into the fandom from time to time like via searching the tags of my favourite characters, but i love seeing people like you still passionately into it around to talk about the series and its characters. now my question is... which of the cabins do you think your fav twst characters would belong in, or vice versa - which pjo favs in which twst dorms? for me, i think leo might work in ignihyde which i do kinda want to draw some time!

oh hey anon!! haha, i've been into twst for almost exactly a year now (literally started playing the prologue on february 18th 2023) but i've loved pretty much the whole PJO universe since i was a kid, and the TV show coming out recently got me thinking about it again and made me wanna switch to a nico icon for a bit. this is such a fun question! i'll start this by warning you that i tend to ramble and give overly lengthy answers to things.

hmm, i'll do twst characters in camp half-blood cabins first--my top faves are riddle and idia, so i'll sort them and also silver because i thought of an idea i like for him.

riddle: i definitely get the vibe that he's a son of athena, and maybe he could also be a legacy of themis, the titan goddess of law and order! also definitely becomes head counselor, probably at a fairly young age similarly to annabeth.

idia: i know this is an extremely obvious answer, but of course he and ortho are hades kids. though if idia would ever leave his cabin, he might find that he could get along well with some of the quieter hephaestus kids. also...

^ not my meme, found it on reddit a while back lol. ALSO like... he and nico both love nerdy things, used to be a lot more upbeat, and admired heroic figures until they were traumatized by the deaths of their siblings. and then for both of them their parentage and family history also plays a part in their isolation and jaded outlook on life. i guess this isn't really relevant to the question but i just wanted to say that it's crazy how similar their stories are.

silver: stays unclaimed in the hermes cabin for a while, and everyone thinks he must be a son of hypnos due to his tendency to fall asleep at random. it's very surprising when he gets claimed by morpheus, the god of dreams, instead.

and for pjo characters in NRC dorms... i wish we had a bit more canon info on what gets a person sorted into a particular dorm haha! let's see, though. my favorite characters in the original PJO books are nico and annabeth and my favorite of those introduced in HOO is leo, so i'll sort them! i know annabeth couldn't go there in canon but let's ignore that.

nico: obvious answer is that he'd end up in ignihyde, but another idea i had is what if he moved into ramshackle? i can see him feeling like he doesn't really fit in at ignihyde because of its focus on technology, and promising to keep the ramshackle ghosts in line if he's allowed to transfer.

annabeth: i think she'd be in scarabia! scarabia students are all about careful planning and strategy and are noted to generally be very resourceful and cunning, and all of that just fits her perfectly. i think it also fits because percy would definitely get put in octavinelle, and iirc scarabia and octavinelle are supposed to have a bit of a rivalry.

leo: i agree with you about ignihyde for him!! leo is someone who seems super energetic and outgoing but who actively seeks out quiet and personal space and literally gets along better with machines than with people, so i think he'd fit right in. if you do draw that then i'd absolutely love to see it.

10. Have you tried anything new this year? Any new art forms perhaps?

Hmm, building a TARDIS was kinda new but I worked with paper, scissors and glue which I am familiar with. I very recently did a macrame workshop, too. I had done a little bit of jewellery knotting before, but never produced anything as professional looking. And I loved doing that! So relaxing and fun :) (until I realised I was running short of time to catch my bus 😅.)

No one new, no, I don't think so. But I have fleshed out some old ones a little more, so maybe let's talk about Linnea?

She was very much only a vague concept before this year and now she has a name and there is art! :)

This is her:

She's a very clever scaredy cat <3 Does not like to leave her little town and little life and prefers not to take chances. But has a fascination with Iceland, so she speaks fluent Icelandic. And then her sister buys the two of them a cruise to Iceland and since that's done now and was expensive, she has to go. And she is terrified but come on, it's a cruise, limited amount of space and people, what can go wrong?

And then obviously there's aliens and the Doctor shows up and she is thrown exactly into the type of situation she never ever ever wanted to be part of. But she survives and impresses the Doctor and gets offered a trip in the box. And obviously declines.

But the Doctor keeps showing up in her life and while she hates every instance of it, they become friends. So then she's one of their contacts on Earth and they show up for tea every once in a while. She definitely meets Yaz at least once :)

I don't know. I liked the idea of someone who is predestined for a companion - smart, curious, kind - but would hate travelling with the Doctor. To have the Doctor do their usual 'don't you want to see all of time and space' and go 'no, thanks, love, you do you though'. And she's terrified of all the scary Doctor things because I'm very scared of many things so I can relate. She's a little bit like I imagine I would become if I didn't force myself out there all the time and then turned like 40-something. (Just that I would never go on a cruise.)

Maybe a little bit like how Dan left the TARDIS in the end - even though he is a very different person to start with. I really liked that reasoning for his exit, it felt so natural and rational. I like to think more people would decide like him. Just 'this is awesome, but I can't really enjoy being threatened for my life the whole time, you know?'

From Forget Me Not (Or: Stealing a TARDIS and Running Away)

The writing this year was all about Mels, definitely. I may have given up on the year of the otp challenge, but I have continued writing fic for her - a lkh rewrite is in the works and while she isn't actually in the cat fic, her body shows up there at least (and like, obviously, River is in the fic. Who is the same person but you know what I mean, she's not really Mels anymore). And like always, I wrote a lot of happy-sad Doctorriver, so I think the line fits perfectly.

Plus personal developments this year - well. I wish I was as strong as her but I am quite happy I don't have the same burden to carry either

I have drawn, painted and built the TARDIS at least 4 times last year, plus doodling her countless times on the rims of my exercise books. She is the easiest and most satisfying character to draw in all of dw, what can I say - also I love her and I made a lot of propaganda for the doctorTARDIS ship for @drwho-shipbracket 's tournament which included lots of TARDIS art and fic :D (and that was so much fun!! DAY 11 - Santa Claus is cumming to town

You already know Leon loves kids, but once the holidays draw near, you get to see just what the rest of the faction have been telling you about. The night before Christmas, while lying in bed with your boyfriend, he told you that he has one more surprise for you and that you're going with him in town the next day.

When the morning came, you woke up alone in his bed and started preparing for going out - expecting to meet Leon at the entrance, but instead there was… Santa Claus?!

"Leon what are you-"

"Hmm hmm…Santa Claus is coming to town~ ♪"

It's the only answer you get before Leon happily prompts you to link hands with him and go out. Seeing the large bag he carries over a shoulder, you already have an idea what this is all about.

 The day goes by with your face almost starting to hurt from smiling, the town folks' happiness contagious when they stop by to meet Santa. With you as his loyal helper, it's ensured that every poor kid in town gets to enjoy a little present - Leon just has to make sure no one tugs on his beard too hard to accidentally reveal that he is actually one of the kingdom's princes and not Santa…

 Before you know it, the already short day goes by - snowflakes starting to dance in the air and Leon telling you it's best to go back home before he can start getting worried about you catching a cold. Though, taking notice of how warm your hand is as he collects it in his bigger one, he smiles and makes a remark of how you probably had more fun than everyone else.

 The Santa outfit makes for a good disguise and is truly charming, but you just can't wait to take it off him already. Walking him backwards to bed and making him almost trip on his just-taken-off shoes, you make a quick work of undoing his belt while kissing his neck.

"Feisty…"

"Oh, shush now."

You're a little riled up of how the walk back home in the snow would have been perfectly romantic if Leon hadn't decided for it to suddenly take a different direction - by whispering naughty things in your ear. Thought the streets were deserted as people have already went home to celebrate, the way he squeezed your butt still got you blushing and yelling at him.

You climb up on the large bed, straddling him as buttons begin to come undone, when Leon interrupts and starts buttoning them up right after you.

"The way this is going, I'll definitely be late for family dinner with my brothers."

"Are you suggesting…?"

"Yeah, I'll just show up in this outfit."

Office way but can't directly controll Narry, maybe there's something that can! The Player obviously. Again it doesn't make much sense? In the context of your au but I just can't get it out of my . Brain. Rotating it .

So how would. They Player interact through Narry an what would. How would the Director feel?? Probably not good haha. Also maybe Players are a sort of. So there's the Director an Curator (Im so sorry I can't remember the au name ough) and probably a lot of other beings like them, so maybe the Player is . Also something they're aware of? At least to some degree? Like the Player (s) are a type of . Being that comes an goes an can be unpredictable! Like youre not sure if a Player would. How would you know until it's to late?

Maybe Players are a sort of. Hmm traveler type things? They find a "story" they find interesting an take control of the "main character" , in this case Narry. It could be that in this au Players are more like! Curious beings but definitely detached? Like they either don't know or don't care that theyv taken over an actual person.

And maybe it depends on what type of Player is in control! Like there could be a Player that's just. That messes with things an doesn't listen to the Director at all on purpose. What about a Player that's looking for all the "endings"? Or looking for secrets?? Or a Player that just genuinely wants to explore the story? AAGAHG there's so so many different things!

And what about Narry?? Like somethings else is currently piloting his body an he can only watch. Maybe it's a sort of ! Out of body experience? He's just a passenger an its more like. Everything feels like he's underwater n he can't focus on one thing really. But if he can then that's absolutely terrifying !! Plus there'd be no "dialog options" so it's not like Narry , or the Player, can communicate with the Director

Especially because the Director actually cares about Narry an is probably worried about him. Like I assume the Director knows what a Player is but maybe . Like it's. 1) you're right in that narrys parabke would not work as a video game. I always imagined it as a TV series or a movie. However, if there was a player like entity... Perhaps it would just act as a... Like... Opposite to a storyteller?

2) they possess people and "tell stories" with their lives, but of course, the person who's being possessed didn't fucking consent to that. Or they take away the story experience from the vessel.

Hello! I have a question regarding the design of your Tarnished character, Letho, and his friend Ambrosia from your fic.

Have you used pre existing armor sets/armor pieces that you find in game for their design, or did you give them different clothes that you yourself made? Just curious, cause it seems like there's a lot of people making new armors for their Tarnished ocs to fit a certain character or aesthetic, just as there's a lot of people using pre existing sets in their drawings of them.

Hi! Uh, honestly for me it's a little of both.

I'll break the answer into two parts, the fic answer and the art answer.

So, fic wise, Letho is usually in the Confessor Set by default, and either has the base Confessor weapons (Lemosyne) or the Bloodhound Fang and more throwables than god (Mare's Nest.)

Ambrosia's costume I've been vague about because I haven't actually sat down and concretely decided what they're wearing, though in chapter 10 it's probably something like the page set and a hood armour for plot-reasons.

On the art side of things:

So, I've drawn Letho in the Confessor outfit of course, but the costume he's wearing in my pinned post is based on a mix of one of the mage sets (Alberich's) and the Confessor set, plus Rennala's gauntlets because I really like them (and a wrap that he got as a gift, not based on a game item). I've drawn him in the deathbed companion dress a few times, and I've commissioned art of him in a combination of Maliketh's armour + the Depraved Perfumer robes, too. There's also an armour I did based on a design class I'm taking, but I haven't uploaded that yet.

Ambrosia's costume in my head is like a patchwork forest-coloured hedgewitch looking set, I really need to make them an Elden file just so I can look for costume ideas though! I'd love to have them with a game armour look. (Maybe the page set and one of the hood items? Hmm.)

When I do design original armour I try to use game sets as a jump off point, but I'm not good at folding in a convincing amount of detail yet.

Combo of Confessor, Alberich, and Rennala's sets + a shawl

Based on the same as above but with different colours. Hairstyle changed because the idea of him wearing a crystal dart as a hairpin appealed to me -- originally he had the default braided hair, which, beloved <3

These sketches are from a few months ago. Their costume's really too similar to Letho's, here. I'll need to do something else. But it's hard to picture them in long skirts, so even if I do that, I'll probably draw the skirt as girded.

And this is a pen sketch I did in like 2 minutes to try and figure out what they're wearing in chapter 10. "Oooh I'm just a helpless old person, stop looking at me, I definitely won't hit you with this stick" vibes
