Okay, long story short: unless the baby becomes a thing that's actively harming Buck, I don't think Eddie is gonna say anything. It's done, the baby exists, he is not a possibility, he is an actual human out in the world so whatever feelings he may have about whether or not that was a good idea don't matter, because he's not an idea anymore. And even if we end up with buddie and somehow that kid becomes a conversation topic, it's not Eddie's place to say Buck shouldn't have done it, and he knows it, I think that's why he acts the way he acts towards it, he knows it's not his place. I can see Eddie snapping if it becomes something that's creating problems for Buck that he refuses to acknowledge but using it to create problems between them would be just stirring up drama with the least interesting thing they could pull from the deck of buddie drama, because Eddie would never actively try to hurt Buck more by bringing this kid into the conversation.

And regarding the whole thing while the baby is still just a concept, Eddie likes to push against the line of thought Buck is trapped in, sometimes because he's actually about to give some solid advice, sometimes maybe just because he's testing how set on this way Buck is. He only found out about the donation once it was a done deal, Buck had a lot of time to sit and think about it by the time he finds out, considering Eddie finds out right as Buck is about to make the donation, and Buck never goes to him to talk about that, so even though is pretty clear he thinks Buck is making a mistake, Buck never asked for his opinion while it would change anything, so he just ignores whatever concerns he may have.

I think Eddie has a better perspective on what being a parent means to Buck than Hen does because while we like to say the whole team knows, we don't really have that many scenes with Buck and Chris with the whole crew, so Eddie is really the only one watching Buck be a parent on a regular basis, and the question Hen asks, the "can you be a father and walk away" is the real thing that could create problems because one, Eddie is a father who walked away, he went to war and he did come back, but even he admits he ran when he was in the army, and two because he's been watching Buck not walk away for years, so he knows if Buck gets too involved, he's not gonna be able to walk away, and that's the concern I think. Sure, there's the fear that Buck is just believing the whole "they had me for parts" and is giving away even more of himself, and problems that the donation could bring for Buck on a bigger scale, but I think specifically with 6x09, Eddie is listening to Buck refer to himself as a father to a child he will have no involvement raising and he's worried Buck is gonna crash from that too hard if he keeps thinking about it the way he is, but he also thinks Buck doesn't want his opinion, because he never asked, and now the baby is real, so he backs away.

Finally got around to reading that update. I have to hand it to Roach's team, the art is a vast improvement over Kate's team and Aradia is goddamn adorable. Its good that Aradia and Dave finally, get to have a conversation about Time. The concept of two people sharing a classpect and discussing it has been around for a long, long time, and its never really been realized. The only other time I can think of is Jade and Kanaya's discussion about Frog Breeding and the duties of a space player. As far as I know karkat and dave have not talked about being knights, rose and vriska have not talked about being light players either. Its really a shame we had to wait this long to get this type of conversation and we might not have done if Homestuck 2 had been cancelled, or even had been continued under Kate. The discussion of "how a butterfly should flap its wings" and who determines what is the right and wrong way is a fascinating look at the mechanics of time travel in Homestuck and call into question the notion of alpha timelines at all, which I gotta say breathes a breath of fresh air into the world building. "Maybe some timelines should be doomed to stabalize the timeline I am in" has some dire implications. But Time is the aspect of The End after all. If Space is The Beginning and is what makes the universe, Time is The End, and probably stands as The Grim Reaper of sorts. Definitely an interesting concept. I forgot that Robo-Dave was an Ultimate Ascension, who is apparently aware of everything he will do and the outcome of such, he only needs to reach the points in the timeline where he makes the decisions. Very reminiscent of The Oracles conversation with Neo in The Matrix Reloaded. "You've already made the choice, you just need to understand it" I have to wonder how far his so called omniscience goes. He is supposed to be the Ultimate Dave, is he aware of the outcomes of the choices of Daves in other timelines? Does he know what Meat Dave will do and the outcomes of such? Who knows? Guess we'll find out. Im actually surprised Meat Dave still exists, come to think of it. I thought Ultimate Ascension merged all your selves together into one? I dont know. I hate to say it but I think its starting to pull me in. I havent started thinking about theories and questions about Homestuck in a long time. And honestly? It feels good.

“Oh we are so in he even gave you his bat” I whisper in her ear which is probably more like a yell that cues her turning around i duck “easy there Carmen”I say covering my head. Probably should have factored the bat in.

“Hey you okay?” Mikey says running over to us. “I knew you’d be lethal with a bat” a voice from behind the gate says, I didn’t think she’d be here this early this isn’t even my nice shirt.

Carmen POV

"Sorry bout that!, I'm usually like ....i- I honestly don't know any baseball" I say loosening hold on the bat. "It's alright, I'm sure you'll turn out a Babe Ruth in that making" Mikey says bringing my elbows up standing back straight up I turn to him " oh oh you wanna hear a joke?, I think you'd be a Ruth too you know why?" He shakes his head smiling already I think he knows the joke "cause you're a babe" I giggling out "that was- was honestly the best pun Ive ever heard" Mikey smiles even bigger making me laugh more I knew someone would find it funny too.

"Your getting good is that what those poetry classes are doing for you, is it any fun?" Chanel asks trying not to laugh "dont be mad I've topped your dad joke quota" I cackle. "But uh Rodrick can describe it all he's in the same class, right?" I ask but I of course already know.

Raising my arms back up I try to maintain a professional stance. "That's pretty good, now we'll pull back anddd-" he pushes twisting my body forward "swing" he finishes as we pretend to watch my invisible ball seemingly land. I watch him turn back to me out my peripheral vision "whatcha doing?" He asks "my balls still going see" I point to the sky making a long 'shooo' sound dragging my hand down and then a 'bom' sound signifying it now has landed.

"come on you said I was Babe Ruth, ain't he good right?" I state "that I did" Mikey responds I line back up to Shoot ? Swing? yeah swing. "Do you really think I'm a babe?" So well I finished rdr2 and I wanna say I enjoyed the hell out of the game genuinely. I didn't think I'd cry as the game was coming to an end but I did I miss Arthur a lot I felt so much pain that he died the way he did. I mean I got the "true" ending but still. Idk it made me sad how much he felt like he fucked up a lot so he was trying to make amends as best as possible. I was playing "honourably" the whole game I didn't want to be a killing maniac cause I thought there was enough of those irl and in game. (Also seeing the King's son die b/c Dutch was a fucking coward that made me want to put a bullet thru Dutch's head after that. Genuinely had me crying as well b/c Dutch used their ppl for his own gain. He constantly said "we'll get rich" but he was willing to leave behind the ppl that helped him. I kinda didn't understand it.)

And as Arthur rode back to camp I was cursing Dutch's name and I was feeling so much of Arthur's pain. Loyalty was all he had but Dutch wanted his mind too. I miss Hosea and Lenny they didn't need to die. Rest in peace u fictional fucks I loved y'all fr. I also was hurt to find out Pearson and Uncle had dipped but they had the right idea . I'm just :,//// feelin

But yeah Arthur was able to die proud of himself as knowing that John and his family would be ok. Honestly the thing that I didn't like is again ... how long the game is ... I was so surprised they switched the script and have u play as John which I haven't finished yet. Idk TO ME it feels a bit much b/c I wanted to see how the story ended I guess I saw how Arthur's ended. :///// I'm actually HURT the way Arthur died I didn't think it'd hurt me this much lol.

But yeah honestly I had a soft spot for John anyways I liked him since the beginning of the game and funny enough there was some parallels with John and Arthur a decent amount of times but it felt subtle enough where ppl would possibly never expect to be playing thru his life. I loved John and his family a lot. I just hated the idea that u can still go out to hunt Micah down.... it just felt "unnecessary" don't get me wrong i absolutely hated Micah I would spit on that nigga irl but I just wanted everyone to have their fresh start. And honestly killing Micah I don't get why Dutch wasn't as well.. like Dutch was just as an issue as anyone else and it lowkey pissed me off how much they dragged the death of Micah just for him to get randomly shot by Dutch.

I'm not saying I hated it I just think maybe it could've ended a different way. And out of all them ppl I wanted Dutch dead the most but Rockstar couldn't satisfy me with that...:/ I didn't understand all those years of deceit and still being in contact with Micah he finally just shoots him? Some ppl said he wanted to get rid of competition but like that still doesn't sound good enough to me. All that time they tried to tell him Micah was no good but he didn't want to listen(but now we in a stand off and NOWWWW u grow a fucking brain. BTW NO I DIDNT FINISH THE ENDING ENDING I JUST LOOKED IT UP SO I DONT KNOW IF IT WAS EXTRA STUFF ADDED THAT SHOWED ANYTHING ELSE ABOUT DUTCH BEFORE KILLING MICAH)

Also this game was reminding me of so many things, one "Bully", "Berserk", and this movie called The last revenant or something with Leonardo DiCaprio and that movie felt like a pile of nothing but it did follow same circumstances. Especially the racist being killed FINALLY but dragging out the death so much. I don't understand why Hollywood or "media" does that so much lol. But the death of Micah's racist ass was so dragged out. It was very annoying but whatever I digress I enjoyed the game for what it was. 8-9/10 for sure

haven't written in a while, haven't had my computer in a while. left it home when we went to fernandina. it was a good weekend. i was on my phone more than i'd like to have been, the weather was worse than i'd have liked it to have been. still managed to walk 12ish miles, all in all. the weather wasnt so bad when it wasnt raining. cooler than normal, especially sunday. saturday was nicer, walked 9 miles. had a conversation with a man in a silly hat selling free advice. he was nice but i dont feel all that helped, i still appreciate the conversation.

i am disturbed by my lack of preparedness for this literary thing. i have no idea what's going on, what im really doing, who even is running it. oh well, it can only help me i spose. or i could embarrass myself, but i guess i shouldnt get too hung up on that.

i might be getting a new car, or should i say, old truck. which is exciting. this summer. my car is the most expensive out of all of our cars, it was originally mom's and she gave it to me. the insurance is super high, so once we pay it off (in june), we can sell it and get something thats cheaper for me. it just so happens that i have a cheap taste in cars- or trucks. anyway, i hope we'll be able to find a 1998-2011 ford ranger. a tiny little truck for lil ole me.

anyway. im considering deleting youtube. it's tough. it's definitely my most used social media, and i can say 100% that it has made me better and more informed. if you can call it social media. but its also a big "crutch". eating food? watch youtube. getting ready in the morning? watch youtube. cleaning my room? watch youtube (this one is more understandable.)

given it more thought. i will delete it as an experiment. i think i need to learn how to practice mindfulness instead of consuming content every waking moment of my life. i need a book on it, maybe. definitely.

my mind feels very busy at the moment. let me think. the tv is very loud. i feel very hot. my room is dirty. okay. breathe.

what will happen tomorrow? anything of note? not that i can think of, i might make plans. that could be nice. i like keeping myself busy. i wish i could've figured out plans with J today, but nothing materialized - i just went outside by myself. i haven't read very much. but i haven't been on my phone very much. so i guess i've been doing things. i dont have any homework due. i dont have work tomorrow. i should be happy. i need to return a book to the library, and i cant think of anything else i need to do.

tomorrow might be a good day to walk. i'll speak to some folks. i'm trying to incorporate some more southernness into my speaking voice. idk, i'd like to feel like my voice is some kind of connection to the place from which i originate. i tried so hard to get rid of it, now i dont have it all and want it back. thats life.

despite not having known him for very long or very intimately i see a lot of my grandfather in myself. he has become sort of a kindred spirit i spose, for myself. maybe i do believe in the afterlife, i can still kind of feel him. maybe thats the afterlife we get, the feeling we leave with people. even though he isnt my biological grandfather, he was the only grandfather i knew on that side of my family that i ever knew. and now is certainly the only positive father like figure there. maybe all of those parts of him that are in me now are like little shrines i've built so that he can live on. our love of johnny cash, western movies, ford rangers, and straight-edge shaving. maybe i should start fishing more seriously, honestly i've thought about it often. i'd like to go fishing with a buddy. i just need a pole and some know-how, or my friend being the know-how could work too. i love him very much now, even though he is somewhat of a stranger to me. he loved my grandma, i can see that. i read one of their letters and was moved to tears. life is something incredible.
