HOW DID RAPPA AND BOOTHILL END UP BEING SO SWEET???

Before 2.6 even dropped, they were being cute! In Rappa's Keeping Up With Star Rail, Boothill describes Rappa's creations as "high-tech ninjutsu" rather than equipment, or machines, or anything else that someone would have normally defaulted to. This is something Rappa is very proud of and insistent about in her work, and he respects that!

Even with those party join lines, he refers to her not as a Galaxy Ranger, but by her chosen title!

Rappa seems to get a lot of shit for how she talks, too, with people throughout the patch accusing her of playing around or not taking anything seriously. Boothill though is swift to correct that, that even if it sounds like nonsense, Rappa is someone to be respected and a force to be reckoned with. He seems to really admire her resolve, and especially her intellect! He has nothing but praise for her, it's so so sweet.

And the way she talks about him, too! Like there are. A lot of things you can say about a man like Boothill fjkdlsajk but she always speaks so admirably of him?

There's also the difference in nicknames- Rappa refers to every other person as "Ninja." And most of them are descriptions that you can pick up at a glance, or without knowing a person too deeply. Singer for Robin is obvious, everyone knows who she is. Gama for Reca means "toad," which is a reference to the assistant director he always has with him. Baseball Bat for the trailblazer is also obvious. Ruri for March 7th means "lapis lazuli" which is probably a reference to her Six Phase Ice, or even her appearance since she looks like if a Stellar Jade became human. Hiryu for Dan Heng is actually "flying dragon" but it's also a famous video game reference so I'm only willing to put so much stock into that one fjkdsjakd and besides, she could have easily heard about March 7th and Dan Heng from Boothill, since he talks about the dango trio to Rappa, too.

But Boothill! Rappa refers to Boothill as "Silvergun Shura," with Shura being a reference to Asura, a demigod of war. It's a name used to describe someone fighting a relentless, inhumane war and desperately seeking victory. It also refers to a level of hell, governed by anger and pain. Both interpretations suit him strongly. It's not really a title you could give just looking at someone. It's something you'd have to know them at least a little more deeply for.

Boothill also very distinctly lacks the common ninja title- instead, in the EN translation, Rappa calls him Lord. It's a highly respectable title even in the original Chinese, apparently akin to addressing reigning royalty.

She just. Seems to respect and admire him so much? It's so so sweet?

And despite how often it's stated that Galaxy Rangers tend to work and travel alone, it seems these two are at least fairly familiar with each other, which makes me really happy! In an instance of beautiful timing, just today Hoyo released a new text convo, and! When she wants someone to hang out with, Boothill was one of the first people Rappa thought of!

Rappa knew Dan Heng because Boothill talked about him. She knew about Clockwork. Boothill has spoken with her often enough and long enough to know how deeply her hatred ran, and to be upset for her when Primon got away.

They both speak so positively of each other, even when one is out of of earshot. They openly show a ton of respect and admiration for one another, and the way they talk about each other is more than just two people who happen to be part of the same faction. They know each other more closely than that. Boothill is only in Penacony at all because of Rappa, and Rappa trusted Boothill enough to seek him out for this.

My favorite, though? The part I considered the cutest?

Rappa literally went all the way to the Luofu just to watch Boothill fight in the Luminary Wardance.

Whenever she’d visit you, EVERYONE would know, as she spray paint on a large building ‘I LOVE YOU!!’ or ‘IM BACK BABYGIRL!!’

Rappa would teach you ninjutsu, and how to graffiti as a date. Which is the most laxed date with her.

The high energy date is taking you off planet and making you watch as she takes out bad guys while rapping, doing every dance move to impress you.

Normal dates are going out to a nightclub where she’d somehow be the DJ and get everyone pumped up while keeping you close. Or teaching you how to skateboard.

Rappa definitely puts some of her clothes on you or in your wardrobe, just to see how adorable you’d look.

She gives you multiple Ninja weapons for you to defend yourself with. She won’t allow any other weapon that isn’t given to you by her.

Rappa also gives you a gun or holographic phone to signal for her help if you’re in danger. Along with her hat and her jacket thats your size.

Rappa’s the type to get offended for you.

Rappa leaves at least 26 kisses on you before she leaves.

Rappa makes a whole rap album for you, and just for you.

If you want to stay on your planet, She’d beg you to come travel with her permanently.

She always leaves your planet after graffitiing a picture of her and you making out, which makes you stay inside for a week or two out of embarrassment.

Rappa’s holographic glasses MIIIIGHT have a feature where she sees you shirtless.

You’d try to set up a casual date, but she would always SOMEHOW make it chaotic. Along with coming back a week later with her OWN casual date.

She’d proudly talk Boothill’s head off about how amazing you are, and he’d just listen happy at rappa’s lovesick yet cute childish rambling. He’d also get a little sad because of his own love life situation.

Boothill does come hang out with you and rappa. Boothill would also threaten you. ‘If you break her heart, I’ll break yer fudgin body!’ Before laughing it off.

Rappa ALWAYS carries you, but whenever she’s tired or feeling sad, you’d give her a piggyback ride.

Rappa would be the type to take off her head and put it on your, low enough to block your eyesight when she’s pissed at someone and is about to brutalize them.

So I have prophetic dreams. The way they go is I have a dream as a little kid and think nothing of it, and then have that same dream years later and realize “wait, that dream that I first had several years ago references a thing that only came out recently”. The dreams are mostly nonsense, but they do reference characters/locations/people that I only learned about recently.

Three examples of said dreams to prove that I’m not just making stuff up:

1: I end up in a copy of my old middle school that has a game like super smash bros ultimate, and I have to fight master hand (although the game is wrongly referred to as super smash bros brawl). I first had this dream before I went to middle school, before I met a teacher featured in the dream, before I knew the super smash bros franchise existed, before I knew of characters featured in that game (hero and master hand), before super smash bros was even revealed, and possibly before super smash bros brawl came out, although I’m not sure on that last part as I’ve never played that game before.

2: The five dragonets from the wings of fire series discovering a different continent and meeting a dragon named Rappa. I first had this dream before I knew about the wings of fire series, before they decided to introduce a second then-unknown continent, and before a character from an unrelated video game Honkai star rail was revealed named Rappa. Honkai star rail also didn’t exist back then, maybe not even Honkai impact third, and I didn’t know about Mihoyo or their other games.

3: I have to go to an alternate dimension to occupy members of the president’s security’s bodies to get him to a specific location. When I first had this dream, Obama was president, and I thought my brain had just made up a president. The president featured in my dream was Joe Biden, who I didn’t know existed when I first had this dream. We have to go through a high school in the quest to occupy the security’s bodies, and two students look significantly like Janis and Damien from the original mean girls movie, which I’ve never watched and didn’t know existed until recently. After a certain point, the president and a non-descript friend that’s helping me with this plot is depicted as a stick figure, specifically the one from animator v animation, which is a series I have never watched and have only seen one screenshot of very recently. When we first start occupying the security’s bodies, I’m holding a water for elephants plushie that was only produced for the recent musical, that only debuted earlier this year, that I saw less then two weeks ago and that I brought. (Proof I brought the plushie below). I also didn’t know about the book or movie until I saw the musical very recently. The members of the security team whose bodies me and the friend inhabit are also characters from dragon ball, an anime/manga that I didn’t know about until a few years ago, after I had the dream, and I’ve never watched or read dragon ball. (I think the characters are vegeta and goku, but I really wouldn’t know).

So you might be wondering, why exactly am I telling you this? Well, recently I had a dream about Angel and Husk from Hazbin hotel that I first had several years ago, and there was a specific shot that I believe may end up in a song in season two, as well as being confirmation (we could guess this, but still) that Husk is getting a love song with Angel.

(I would also like to advise you to take the body swapping stuff with an ENTIRE PITCHER of salt. I think that has a less then one percent chance of actually getting in the show)

I’m aware that only I have tangible proof that these dreams are prophetic, but I want to post this now so if the shot ends up in the actual episode I can say ‘I told you so’ and hopefully use this post as proof I have prophetic dreams.

So, I just finished the new Trailblaze Continuance mission (no spoilers here), and I'd like to share my thoughts. Although I haven't done the event that follows, so no spoilers for that please x-x

Rappa stares with starry eyes, looking at the fourth member of the trailblazers crew, M/n. She felt her great beat faster, along with her mind suddenly painting imagines of you and her.

Rappa didn’t know what this was, until she remembered her masters, and boothill’s words of ‘love’. She believed that’s what she was feeling right now, love. Boothill always did say how unpredictable it was, and her master seemed to talk highly of this feeling.

Rappa: Baseball Ninja! Ninja Hiryū!

She greeted loudly as the three turned to face her.

Trailblazer: Hello Dazzling Ninja! I

The trailblazer greeted her while Dan Heng nodded as a greeting.

M/n: Dazzling ninja… oh rappa. Your the one who saved trailblazer from the monkeys yes?

Rappa: Indeed Ninja Kawaī otokonoko! I, dazzling ninja rappa, leave ninja galactic baseball from the evil ninja—

M/n: Uh… what did she call me?

Dan Heng: ..She called you Ninja ‘Kawaī otokonoko’

Rappa: Excuse my rudeness Ninja Kawaī otokonoko, but I must confess..

Rappa grabs his hands and interlocks them, softly swinging them and smiling almost ear to ear with love struck eyes, in contrast of m/n’s confused eyes and flushed face.

The three astral express members could only stare in bafflement and disbelief. Dan Heng and (Trailblazer) stared with agaped mouths and eyes that seemed to bulge out.

M/n stared with a red face, unable to fully comprehend what the words he heard actually meant. There’s simply no way it could actually be a declaration of love from a stranger right?

Rappa continued to stare lovingly, before bringing up on of his hand and kissing it, winking at him then reveling a toothy grin.

M/n: I-I…I…N-no?

Rappa: Huh..? No? Why would you deny my confession… ah! I see! You’ve been ensnared in the evil seal of embarrassment! No matter! I will be patient and await your agreement, Ninja Kawaī otokonoko!

She declared before bowing at Dan Heng and (Trailblazer), then winking at m/n and swiftly walking away. The three nameless stood, stun locked for a good minute before (Trailblazer) cut through the silence

Trailblazer: How the hell did you manage that!?

M/n: I-I don’t… dude what the hell was that!!?

Dan Heng: love at.. first sight perhaps..?

M/n: Dan Heng! Your smart! How the heck am I meant to approach this!

Dan Heng: I-I don’t.. that isn’t my area of expertise.. perhaps ask March?

OK but In the rappa quest at the start when where in the rappa flash backs i was pretty sure not everything was right because her ninjustsu master stuttered so much like he made up words on the spit and that he wasn't entirely truful but I wasn't expecting her to be a human experiment I thought it was maybe some kind of false true or something similar i finished the quest a bit ago so I cant remember my exact thought but I love our silly ninja girl so much and she came home today at 68 pity ❤ I was so happy
