okay hopefully tumblr doesn’t eat this one 😣😣
can we plss get more details about plug!Sevika and reader meeting for the first time at a house party??
& can we pls have a cute moment of reader completing Sevika’s gap until she’s a blushing mess like in this post: https://www.tumblr.com/idyllicbby/747661932204572672/all-im-thinking-about-is-having-a-first-meetdate
yes absolutely!
here's a link to the post mentioned!
men and minors dni
you hate house parties.
especially this one.
the mysterious red liquid coming out of the coolers on the counters are so watered down it's like chugging warm juice, the music is awful, and your friends have all paired off with their partners-- dancing and making out in coupled bliss. you're miserable.
"fuck this." you grunt, pushing yourself off the wall and through the crowds of grinding bodies. you're going to find yourself a decent fucking drink-- not whatever this shit is.
the kitchen is sparsely populated and empty bottles litter the counters.
you start scouring the cabinets and fridge for liquor, and just when you're about to give up, your eyes catch on an unattended, half empty bottle of vodka behind a kissing couple.
you consider the predicament. the guy's got the girl sitting on the counter, pressed between her legs, his hands on her ass and the bottle bumping into the back of his hand. you'd have to get right up on them to reach your prize.
you really don't want to lose a limb to the couple.
you also really want a stronger drink.
you huff, stomp over to the other side of the kitchen, groan, then cringe as you flail your arm behind the couple to grab the bottle.
you get away easily, giggling as you clutch the bottle to your chest and start backing away from the pair. they dont seem to have noticed you, and just when you're sure you've gotten away with your thievery and you start pouring the vodka in your cup, your eyes catch on an amused, sparkling pair of silver irises.
you stiffen, your cup starts overflowing with vodka as you stand frozen, blinking at the woman across the room who seems to have been watching you this whole time.
she grins and raises an eyebrow at you.
you gulp, then smile bashfully, gesturing the bottle out toward her, offering her some. she bursts into laughter.
you find yourself by her side in a moments notice.
"can i top your drink off for you, miss?" you ask, giggling. the woman snorts.
"yes please." she thrusts her red solo cup between the two of you, and you pour a few shots worth of vodka into the juice. "'re these non-alcoholic for a reason or...?" she asks. you laugh.
"right!? how're you gonna throw a party and not even have drinks!" you giggle. she holds her cup out and you clink your plastic rim against hers before taking a sip.
it burns going down, this time.
"ah, much better." she sighs, leaning against the wall. "so, how do you know the shitty hosts?" she asks. you laugh, then shrug.
"i dunno 'em. my friend knows a guy who invited her-- she asked me to tag along." you say. "you?"
"'m just the plug." she says. you grin.
"oh, are you?" you ask. she huffs a laugh, then gestures to the fanny pack on her hip.
"can i interest you in a purchase?" she asks, unzipping the pack. you gasp.
ten minutes later, you and sevika have ditched the loud house party to sit on the back porch and share a joint as you sip on your drinks.
you've got the giggles. sevika's weed is strong, and the drink you poured yourself is strong, and sevika's pretty and she's only looking at you.
"what're you smiling at?" she asks, her own smile pulling up at her lips. you just shrug and pass her back the joint.
"you lookin' for new regular customers?" you ask. sevika chuckles, grins and nods, then takes a hit.
"i certianly am. you lookin' for a new plug?" she asks, exhaling. you don't really hear her question, though, because as she laughs and talks, your eyes catch on the gap in her front teeth. your stomach bursts into butterflies.
"you're so pretty." you whisper. sevika blinks at you. "y'r smile's so..." you trail off. sevika grins.
"really?" she chuckles. you nod, biting your own lip, wondering what it'd feel like if sevika sunk her sharp canines in your bottom lip. "you're high."
"you've got good shit. and a pretty smile." you say, nodding.
this time sevika's smile is more bashful. "what's your number?" she asks. you grin and pass her your phone, and she passes you the joint in exchange.
when she returns the phone, her contact name is '🍃 sevika 🫀'
you have to bite your lip to keep from squealing.

Pairing: Wanda Maximoff x reader
Word count: ~2.7k
Summary: Family vacation
A/N: This came to mind when watching Evil Dead Rise, but don't let that fool you.
Warnings: Mostly fluff
You smile widely as you get out of the car with your dog right behind you. You’re a little late but you’ve brought something that will hopefully make up for this. Leaving work had taken longer than you thought, and just looking at the other cars here, you realize that your wife, brother-in-law and at least Nat is here. You are looking forward to the two weeks of relaxation that you will have with your entire family.
You take a moment to stop in your tracks, not paying any attention to Boone who’s running on ahead, as you take a deep breath. You look up at the clear blue sky and smell the fresh air that you’ve been looking froward to for weeks.
You’d practically begged Wanda to take this time off because you were both being overworked and you deserved a break. You’d convinced her to take the short trip to your lake house a few hours away from home. It was the closest of your vacation homes and you knew this made it more likely that Wanda would agree to go away with you. It had been her idea to invite family, and you were thrilled to have them along for the ride. You were also more than grateful for the fact that the house was plenty big enough for you and your wife to still have privacy.
“Y/n! Hurry up!”
You hear your brother-in-law call you from a distance, and you realize that Boone must have arrived to the lake and given you away. You walk around the house, seeing that it’s mostly empty and you quickly spot everyone sitting on the sand or standing on the dock waiting for you. Your dog has already run up to Fanny and followed her into the water, and you are grateful that you didn’t bother putting on his harness when you left.
“Hey everyone. Sorry for the delay.”
You place the brown bag full of booze that you’d brought before catching the tennis ball that Yelena throws at you. You smile as you look to your dog who is already swimming away, but he watches you carefully once he sees what you’re holding. You throw the ball a little past him before hugging both Yelena and Pietro with a smile. You tell Yelena that you brought her favorite booze and weed and she hugs you again before returning her attention to her barking dog. You leave her to throw the frisbee while you hop off the dock to greet your wife.
She’s lounging with Nat in chairs that give you a great view of your wife’s new swim suit. You’d asked her earlier this week if she’d packed yet, and she’d mentioned having a surprise for you. You’re not sure if this is it, but you’ll happily accept the gift that is getting to see Wanda in a bright red, almost too small bikini.
“Hey detka.”
“Hi there, kiddo. Get lost?”
You roll your eyes at Nat’s remark as you lean over to kiss your wife in greeting. You kneel down beside her, not caring about the sand as you kiss her again and roll your eyes. You hear a car door slam and figure that Bucky and Steve are here, but you’ll say hi to them later. For now you need to set the record straight.
“Good to see you too. No Nat. I just took a little longer to get here because I was getting someone’s favorite booze. If you don’t want it though, I’m sure Yelena will drink it.”
Nat’s eyes widen slightly as she looks to the dock where you’d left the bag of groceries you’d brought. Yelena was looking through it already and Nat jumps to her feet to make sure she doesn’t try to steal your gift. She mutters a thanks under her breath as she kisses your cheek before she’s gone and you smile widely as you settle down in the sand next to Wanda.
“Sorry I’m late. I hope I didn’t miss too much?”
Wanda smiles as she shakes her head and looks out to the lake that she hasn’t gotten in yet. Her plans had been to just sit in the sun, maybe take a nap until you got here and then to see how you felt about going for a swim. She was sure you and Yelena, and maybe Pietro would get into some sort of trouble sooner rather than later, so she’d like to spend some time with you beforehand.
“Not really. Nat had to help me with my sunscreen though since you weren’t here.”
You frown at the idea of missing out on getting to do this. It was only one of your favorite things about going to the beach with your wife. Other than seeing her like this of course, it was a perfectly convenient and innocent way to have your hands all over her without it being too much PDA.
“That’s too bad. I’ll just have to help you with it later after we swim.”
Wanda smiles at this as she puts her sunglasses back on because squinting at you is becoming tiresome. She watches as you move over to steal Nat’s seat just so you can take off your shirt and shorts that you wore over your suit for the ride here.
“Unless you need to finish up here.”
You shoot your wife a curious look and she just sighs contently before promising that she’ll be there soon. She just got comfortable and she knew that once she got in the water she’d smell like lake and she wanted to hold off for just a bit longer.
“I’ll be there soon. Just a few more minutes.”
You smile before folding your clothes and standing up with a stretch. You’re looking out at the water where your dog is paddling around, so you miss Wanda look you up and down appreciatively. If it was anyone other than family here, Wanda wouldn’t want you to show off the tanned and toned body that’s only for her to admire. She watches your muscles flex as you stretch out your back with a groan. She doesn’t get more than a second or two to think about feeling them beneath her before you speak up.
“Okay, Wands. I’m going to look for turtles then.”
Wanda laughs but just watches with a smile as you head for the dock. You may only work with cats and dogs, but one of your favorite animals are turtles. Any kind of turtle you loved and although sea turtles were your absolute favorite, that didn’t stop you from trying to spot another kind here. She watches as Bucky and Steve walk down from the house with a large cooler and yet another dog.
This one was a rescue that Bucky had found and adopted recently. He was a shepherd mix who had been abused by his previous owners who eventually put him out on the streets. You’d met him almost immediately after Bucky brought him home and you’d done your best to make him feel comfortable. Bucky had told you that Kit, he was named after the county he’d been found in, was only a foster, but he was going to try to adopt him. He was very skittish and reluctant to trust, but he’d bonded with Bucky quickly and has since made a lot of progress adjusting to his new life.
Boone sees him immediately and swims towards the dock so he can greet him. He and Kit hadn’t been fast friends. The two shepherds hadn’t fought, but they’d been wary when in each other’s company and never wanted to be too close. They’d never been left alone because neither you nor Bucky wanted to take the chance of something happening, but maybe this weekend you both would get the chance to try and improve their relationship. Not to mention Fanny’s presence always helped because everyone loved Fanny.
“Hey guys. Good to see you.”
You hug the duo that are dressed in swim trunks with t-shirts slung over their shoulders. They were obviously ready to swim, and it didn’t take them long at all to get wet. Everyone on the dock for that matter. Only Yelena and Pietro noticed as Boone jumped up from the water and shook himself out. You yelped and Nat narrowly escaped with her booze without getting drenched by a wet dog. You turned to him with a scowl, but the sight of your happy wet dog made you smile quickly. You didn’t pet him though because he was a little gross, and you just watched as he looked to Kit who was already starting to freeze.
“Boone be nice. Go see your mom.”
Your dog comes up to you with a whine but you shake your head before pointing to Wanda. She realizes too late what you’re doing and she’s ambushed by a wet dog licking her face. She shrieks and tries to get away, and you cringe as she falls out of her chair. You start to move so you’re hiding behind Steve, but Pietro’s laughing luckily takes the attention off of you for the moment. You watch as your wife stands up angrily and throws her sunglasses down on her chair. She ignores Boone as she glares at you in a way that makes you realize you’re definitely in trouble. You laugh nervously before muttering something that Wanda doesn’t hear, but certainly it doesn’t matter at the moment.
“I’ll be back. I’m just going to look for some turtles.”
You run off to the edge of the dock before diving in the lake and Boone barks as he follows you in from the shore. You swim out and just tread water as you wait to see what your wife does in response to your poorly thought-out decision.
“I should have gotten that one on tape.”
Wanda just glares at her brother as she steps onto the dock in search of alcohol. She’s going to need it if she’s going to relax on this trip. She had only been looking forward to this for months, and it was a quick decision to invite her friends and brother along. She tried to keep it a secret from Pietro for only a week before he found out. She’d told him that this was an important vacation for her and that if he was coming, he couldn’t be a pain in her ass.
So far, so good.
She nearly spits out the sip she’d just taken when she feels an arm wrap around her and pull her back. She sputters and curses before she begrudgingly accepts the side hug from the taller Maximoff.
“Alright, I know what you’re thinking. I’ll be good. Thanks for letting me crash your vacation.”
Wanda just mumbles something at him before nodding in thought. She takes another sip of her drink before she looks out toward the water where you’re swimming around seemingly aimlessly. Boone and Fanny are nearby but since you’re not doing anything interesting, they’re mostly keeping to themselves. She wonders how you’re feeling after this week. You’ve only been talking about being overwhelmed nearly every day. She hopes that this vacation will be relaxing for you.
“Sure thing, Piet. Just remember, three strikes and you’re confined to the basement.”
This wasn’t as harsh as it sounded because the basement of the lake house was equipped with everything that Pietro would need to get through these two weeks. There were a few bedrooms, two baths, a game room, and a full kitchen down there. He was actually going to fight Steve and Bucky to stay down there, but he would worry about that later.
He nods with a small smile before messing up his sister’s hair and stealing her booze. She shoots him a glare that he just waves off as he eyes you where you’ve already started your search for your favorite reptile.
“Duly noted. Now go join your wife, sestra.”
Wanda only considers doing something else just to spite him for a few seconds, but then you glance over to her with a smile and she’s already walking toward the end of the dock. She knows that this vacation probably would have been more relaxing without her family here, but she knew she’d still enjoy it. They deserved time off too and it was always nice to see you enjoying your time with family. That said, she decides that she’s going to spend some time alone with you for a bit. Even if she has to help you look for turtles.
She jumps off the dock and swims toward you with quickly. She’s intercepted by a dog and she just scratches Boone’s wet head before turning her attention back to you. You’re only a few feet away, and you’ve started swimming toward her once you realized she was in the water.
“Any luck yet?”
You shake your head before reaching out as you get closer to Wanda. She meets you half way and grabs your hand as you lead her further from the shore. You briefly look to your friends who are chatting and drinking, and you’re glad that they’ve joined you for your much-needed vacation. The house was large enough that everyone could get their own room, two honestly, so there would be plenty of privacy. You could go days just lying in bed and no one but maybe Wanda would force you to get up, but you are just excited to be away from work for a bit.
“Nah, they’re all doing their own thing, but that’s fine. I was just going to swim around a bit."
Wanda smiles at you and watches for a few seconds as you float on your back with a relaxed look on your face. She’s glad to see you so at peace after how busy things have been for you, and she sneaks up on you and reaches out to help you float. She kisses your cheek and her smile widens as you open your eyes and shoot her a knowing look.
“Having fun?”
You nod in agreement, ignoring the water that sloshes around your face as you continue to float. You feel Wanda’s hands on your back and you take a deep breath as you look back up at your wife. You reach out for her and bring her closer so you can kiss her again. You’re grateful to her for making this happen, and you’re very much looking forward to spending time with her during this vacation. Your family too, but your wife especially.
“The best. I’m glad to be here with you, Wands.”
You and Wanda float together for a bit before you decide to go searching for animals again. Wanda humors you for a bit before she decides to head back toward the shore. She’s getting hungry and the smell of the boys cooking draws her back to the group. The dogs are already there begging for food, and when you emerge from under the water again Wanda decides to see if she can tempt you away from the turtles for a bit.
“What do you say we get something to eat?”
Your eyes light up at the mention of food, and you only hesitate for a second before you nod in agreement. You reach out for your wife’s hand and she grabs yours with a smile. Yours grows as you pull Wanda toward you before shooting her a challenging look.
“I’ll race you. Loser has to babysit your brother.”
You don’t wait for a response before you duck underwater and are on your way to the food. Wanda catches up to you quickly, but she falls just short of beating you. You help her onto the dock before you consider pushing her back in just to tick her off. She must see the intent on your face because she grips your wrist tightly as she shoots you a warning look.
“Don’t you dare.”
Instead of shoving Wanda back into the water, you kiss her cheek and lead her to where your friends are grilling. Boone comes to greet you, but then he immediately runs back to Steve’s side to try and get some scraps. You can easily see that he’s already set aside a sizeable pile of pre-cut meat for the dogs as a present. You smile at this and have no complaints as you follow your wife’s lead toward the house.
This was going to be a great vacation.

Has A.B.A been training or practicing with Flament Nagal? Because in Strive, it looks like she knows what she is doing compared how she was in the old games.
In the old games, Nagal seemed to be doing all the work but now it looks like a reverse unless Flament Nagal is becoming more reluctant to fight these days.
At first (if you'd been following the Drama CD script) it was revealed that at the very outset A.B.A. didn't even know Flament Nagel* was a weapon!
She just thought he was a giant Key she happened to like and find attractive!
He dropped several hints after that during her duel with Slayer, and agreed to work as her partner afterwards.
Time has passed and Slayer DID state he would check in on them in about 10 to 20 years, so hopefully that will happen soon~
Some minor differences as well is:
In her original Isuka version: Evidence Concealment was a giant golden Key poke, but it later became an Alchemic chain reaction... this later became the "Keeper of the Key" where the Gate of Truth opens up and the Darkness attacks.
The Union command Grab: instead of being shocked at his transformation, she asked the question "What's your Blood Type?"
(Ketsueki nani ka ta?), this was directed at the opponent, since she was taking their blood from them (this is also an indirect reference to Fanny's old command grab from Guilty Gear Petit).
She'd also feed Flament blood generously with her Blood packs.
The change in focus to Jealousy (and Love) makes sense, since their relationship has progressed a great deal since they started out, but it also reveals more about the nature of Flament Nagel as a Foci (Magic Focus Beast).
Originally he "possessed" vessels he deemed worthy of wielding him, but this also meant he dominated them until they died.
During Strive's Story, he reveals to A.B.A. that he doesn't think this is the correct way to do things and is willing to accept her as his partner even if they don't always connect with one another.
So during the command grab, he might try to "possess" a body, but A.B.A. pulls him out at the last minute, leaving him somewhat disformed and ambiguous (like the creatures that exist beyond the Gate he can summon).
He can still feel pain, especially if she bites him and scratches his face, but in that state he is extremely euphoric and can't really think straight... A.B.A. is also mutually affected by the possession as well, though it merely compounds her jealousy to twice the amount of what it was before the Union took place.
It also appears that being in that state greatly elevates A.B.A.'s physical strength, as previously she could barely lift Flament Nagel, but when under his influence, she can crack the very ground she stands on with sheer force of weight by how she wields him! This is evident in her victory animation in Strive.
I'll just stop here to say that we don't know Flament Nagel's full history during the Crusades, but he does remind me of another "weapon" that has a similar effect and namesake.
One of the Sacred Treasures: Jinki Ekitoku (Increasing Fervor), codenamed "Dominator" by the Conclave!
By that name alone, "Increasing Fervor" or even "Dominator" the effect appears very similar to the powers that Flament Nagel can wield...
I can't put my finger on it just yet, but I dare say there might be a connection with him and the Sacred Treasures (whether or not Sol Badguy created him is another mystery though).

Director’s cut ask game: ⭐️⭐️ (aka whatever story you want to talk about!)
Thanks so much for the ask! I scrolled through my fics and chose one of my ensemble pieces, "Waiting,": "It's mid-October, and as the group stays in Varna listening for news of Dracula's whereabouts, Jonathan observes the way that each person deals with the growing suspense of waiting." (Spoilers ahead...)
-I think I started drafting this fic after I'd finished my first run of Dracula Daily back in 2022, but it sat half-finished for several months before I finally started working on it again. As is evident from the huge number of my fics that take place during the week in Varna, I'm a bit obsessed with that part of the book: the waiting feels unbearable, and of course my mind starts spinning stories of what everyone is doing to pass the time!
-I decided on Jonathan's perspective here, because I thought it would be interesting to view each person's coping strategy through one person's point of view. (I ended up doing this again in a different fic from Arthur's perspective, called "A Week in Varna.")
-The story has five parts, each focused on a different member of the Crew of Light (with Jonathan and Mina sharing the last section). I can't remember the original sequence, but I do remember that I reshuffled it a few times in order to get the narrative to flow.
-In the part about Van Helsing, I tried to show how heavy a toll all the waiting was taking as he tried to stay in control: keeping tabs on Mina's slow transformation, trying to do research, and so on. I loved the image of him praying the rosary over Mina while she slept during the day, too. And he's doing his best to try to make sure Jonathan isn't getting snacked on (but he's not very tactful about it). I tried to show Jonathan's compassion and empathy for him, even as Jonathan is withholding information from him.
-Beloved Arthur! He's the guy in the group who always has a granola bar in his fanny pack, and we love him for it. He is always golden-retriever-coded in my stories, but especially when writing from Jonathan's perspective. I did some minor internet searching to find a candy that someone would be likely to find in Bulgaria in the 1890s, but not sure if I succeeded. (If the violetki is anything like the drop hard licorice I ate in the Netherlands, I probably would not like it! Hopefully Jonathan does, though.)
-Quincey and Jonathan having an unexpected connection was a nice addition to this story, and looking back I can see some seeds for my later fic, "Step Into the Light." I liked the image of them sitting together in companionable silence, each cleaning and preparing their weapon.
-The section with Jack was the most fun to write, because he's being unbearably awkward and annoying to Jonathan right now, which is a dynamic that always makes me laugh for some reason. Though his dialogue is pretty ambiguous in the story, as I was writing it, the vibe I was going for was, "Trying to bring up the subject of 'what if your wife is eating you??' but wisely deciding to settle for some extremely ineffective flirting instead."
-The Jonathan/Mina scene in this one was the hardest to get right, but I'm happy with how it turned out. I wanted to show the ways that Jonathan is both supporting her (agreeing to pray with her every night despite All That going on with him) and putting his foot down (insisting that she drink from him every night). I also wanted to emphasize the different ways that they are dealing with God at this point— Mina through devotion, Jonathan through a dread and angry sense of waiting to see how it ends for him to make up his mind about what's going on. I'm one of those people who headcanons Jonathan as keeping his faith— albeit in a different, more mature form— in the end, but at this point all he knows is that Mina is hurt, and his teeth are bared.
-Speaking of bared teeth, Mina gets to drink all the blood she wants! #girlboss. This scene was pretty erotic but I ended up writing a more explicit version of it from Mina's perspective, which was really interesting, too.
-I'm a bit too happy with the closing line: "Jonathan kept his promise to the professor— he did not need to tell him about the marks on his thigh, because he knew exactly what had caused them." BOOM. MIC DROP! But seriously, I liked how this tied the ending to the beginning scene, and how it shows Jonathan once again disobeying an old man telling him what to do by being sneaky about it. That's my boy!
Thank you again for asking! :D

Alright im sure this has been rehashed a million times, but i wanna talk about monsterhigh so too bad 😤 i will talk to the void. If ur not interested , enjoy the art but my thoughts about the new lagoona below👇
-im glad that they’re leaning into athlesiure with her!! Obv the og design is iconic, but the best piece is inarguably the hoodie. So even tho i have issues with the colors, i think the new hoodie is actually cute n fitting :] The mesh and sandals are also nice.
-im glad that they’re leaning into athlesiure with her!! Obv the og design is iconic, but the best piece is inarguably the hoodie. So even tho i have issues with the colors, i think the new hoodie is actually cute n fitting :] The mesh and sandals are also nice.
-the fanny pack and asymmetrical earrings are my favorite of the accessories!!!!
-i…I really cant say anything good about those pants. What was the concept there
-the purse is just really uninspired imo,, especially if you compare it to the original
-ok ive stalled long enough. I have to talk about the colors…i guess the new concept is rainbow? But its also very pink? The execution just isnt doing it for me 😓 besides, her name is lagoona BLUE man!! Honestly i think the biggest problem is that there are so many pinks. Different shades, cool tone, warm tone, all over. This might be fine, except for all the rainbow on top of that. Theres just no clear color story:
Example a) i dont hate the hair that much on its own. But in combination with everything else? It’s giving unicorn barf instead of unicorn magic :[. It could be pretty pastels but instead it feels drowned out/muted
Example b) Im glad they kept her fins but the peach skin tone is just strange…its like, almost a human color, but also colorful enough to clash with the other colors?
-this is kinda minor but i liked the body shape changes of some of the other g3 dolls and wished lagoona got something. Wouldn’t it fit great with her athletic fashion vibes and personality if she had some defined muscles? Maybe they were going for more of a lean yoga girl vibe.
Overall, Lagoona is my least favorite doll of g3 rn. I feel like they missed the mark on blending her character with modern fashion and the result was a weak, busy design. Although, I am curious as to why so much of her design was changed compared to the other g3 dolls, which pretty much keep the hair and skin of their originals. Hopefully she’ll look better in future outfits, and maybe even win people over on the peach skin?

I am real real tired this evening. But I'm also in a pretty good mood. And apparently the northern lights might be visible tonight??? It will probably be to cloudy for us to a really see anything but just that it could happen is so interesting.
Today was a hard work day. Very hard work. I did not expect to be in the rain and mud as much as I was. Honestly it was nice to be so active. I didn't feel bored until the end of the day. Mainly I was having a good time.
I slept pretty well too. When I woke up I was happy and James was there and things were good.
We are pretty sure bread is making my stomach hurt. So I'm trying to limit that. James made me just eggs for breakfast and a baked potato for lunch. Which I ended up not eating anyway because they ordered us pizza. But I did try! I need to try harder to limit bread if this pain is going to keep happening.
I would get dressed and was ready to be outside. I wore my new rain boots which were excellent. And I think I did a pretty good job picking out the outfit for the work.
I would leave here after saying goodbye to James. And it was a fine drive in to camp. It wasn't raining when I left but started soon after. James would only get a little drizzled on. But it was actually raining by the time I got to camp.
When I got there I checked in with Heather by text. I would be alone at camp for an hour or so. I would drop off the mixers I picked up yesterday and then worked on setting up my tent. The feild was already muddy and would only get worse. But it was fine. My boots protected me.
I didnt wear my rain coat for a few hours though. It was just drizzling and I didn't mind being a little damp. But it would get worse.
I felt like I was go go go for like 5 hours. After my tent was set up I would go to the Alaskan to find the other tent. Which ended up being a little broken. Frustrating but I tried my best to make it work. I couldn't get it all the way set up and I was really mad but I wasn't able to do it alone. Sarah, her dad Steve, and Dachelle would come help me later on. The broken part made the canopy fill with water which of course spilled on me. Terrible. I was trying very hard to not be sad.
I would be okay though and would head to the office to dry off and get a sit break while I created an Instagram post for the vendor market and compose the last email I would send to everyone. Which I think went well. I had to do some trouble shooting with Heather's computer because the zip file was only downloading to her drive and not her computer?? So weird but we handled it.
I would go back out to move tables. Using my wagon. Which is very silly but I moved 4 of the 14 tables by myself!! It was raining a lot harder now. And was not fun to be out in.
I would have to go and switch out my table for a smaller one because the rain was dripping on the longer table and I didn't want to deal with that so I went and grabbed the folding table I have in the art building. And while it's smaller I think it works just fine.
I didn't set up all of my stuff. But I have a better handle on it and it'll be quick in the morning. It's not supposed to rain tomorrow so hopefully it will be a non-issue. I really really hope that is the case. It's going to be a 12 hour day and emotionally I don't know if I can deal with that and the rain. Don't even mention wind! I just need tomorrow to go smoothly.
We had talked about merch for the puhtok table so I went back to the Alaskans (I would go up like 6 different times today) and found the box of mugs, fanny packs, backpacks, and ponchos. And I think they will sell really well. I would count out everything for Heather so we can keep track and I made a nice little poster so it'll be easy to buy things. I am excited to see it all come together.
I made my way to the lodge to drop off some small trash cans and ran into one of the friends of Puhtok (called FOP) (one of the volunteer organizations that helps with events and fundraising) who was unloading stuff. I offered to help but then realized that this stuff was for sure for the trading post. So after calling Alexi to double check we moved everything up there and that lead to me helping Heather direct traffic as some of our food trucks showed up and the beer truck. And it was a flurry of activity. I did my best to help with FOP and making decisions but I also felt a little. Unsure about everything. It's hard when everyone has an idea about how things should go. I tried to be like "hey this is how I think we should do this" but you know. Can't always be my ideas. Not that I want it to be.
But I always feel heard with Heather and that is nice.
I would make a few more drives to the Alaskan for basement stuff. And then they ordered us pizza. I was thrilled. I should have just had one piece but I didn't listen to my body and my stomach hurts again. I tried to sip water and just be alright. I would do some more computer tasks. And after a little break I would go to the lodge to clean coolers.
I was a little overwhelmed by the list of things that need to be done before the festival opens at noon. Volunteers are arriving at 930 so I am hoping it just comes together and is seamless. I had set up the square readers for credit cards. And things seems to be going really well with those. I just hope we can continue that trend.
I would clean 10 coolers. My hands were really dried out from the sanitizer that we have. And my fingers were already cracked in spots so it was kind of painful. Still is. I have been trying very hard to take care of my cuticles but I still have issues. My poor thumb is a disaster right now and very painful. I'm going to end up with bandaids on all my fingers again I swear.
I would check in at the office before I left. Chatted with Lou. Made sure there was nothing else they needed from me specifically and went over the plan for the morning with Heather. And then I was off.
I was covered in mud. So tired. And so ready to go home.
The drive home was tough but mostly because there was just tomfoolery on the road. Including a cop car just getting smashed in the intersection I have to take to go home. I would figure out a solution and only added a couple minutes to my drive.
When I got back here, after hugging Sweetp, I went and took a shower. I put on comfy clothes. And when I came downstairs James was just getting home. And made a big fuss about how pretty I was. And would go get changed.
We would talk about the market tomorrow. I needed a way to display my pins and James would lend me a baseball flag. And with that solved we would get on the couch to hang out. I played my video game. They edited their podcast. It was a really nice evening.
Eventually my head started to hurt from playing the game. And I would pass it over to James to play for a little. And now I am upstairs. James is checking on the clouds to see if we can see any of the northern lights. But I don't have high hopes well actually see anything. That is okay. I just like that it is happening. It's neat.
Tomorrow is the Monkton Music Festival! I really hope it is a good day. I don't even really care about my sales, I just want everyone else to do well. And I hope we get a lot of walk ups so that camp can raise more money.
So wish us luck. I love you all. Goodnight!

So! Got my mammogram report QUICKLY after waiting longer than I should have had to, and making a couple of phone calls. Thus, the PA working with me called in 5 prescriptions for me to a local pharmacy. I'll pick them up tomorrow.
The volunteer service I talked with will probably be able to help me... but maybe not much. It depends on how many shifts people sign up for. I'm hoping it's enough. I was put in contact with a friend of a friend in the area, who agreed to at least pick me up after surgery, though it would be a few hours later when he gets off work.
Another friend's brother is the executive chef of a SUPER fancy Italian restaurant in town, and they made reservations for me late in my stay, and will cover my meal. The menu is super intimidating, but I'm excited.
A few people backed out of watching Peri, but I have a coworker I can count on. She has a dog, but is confident they won't bother each other and can keep them separated if they do.
I made a packing list and am starting to get things together. I want to find a zippable tote bag or something similar, and maybe a fanny pack that wouldn't go over my chest, so tomorrow I will foray the two Goodwills in town while I'm out picking up medications.
Haven't heard back from the flight agency yet, and ticket prices have gone up, so I REALLY hope I don't have to cover that myself... I'll contact them early next week, I guess.
And non-surgery related, but one of my chickens disappeared last night. I couldn't find her anywhere, searched the yard until it was dark, then again in the morning. Nothing. I thought maybe she got out or a hawk got her (but no feather piles). ...But just a few minutes ago I heard her distinctive screaming outside, and she was there digging up my garden. <3
The chickens also decided to start laying eggs in the deepest part of the densest clump of bamboo, and I had to cut down one whole cane and dozens of offshoots to reach them with my grabber tool. Once I got all the eggs I shoved a bunch of leaves over the spot so hopefully they don't go back to it.
I need to make a before-surgery list soon. Get things down below shoulder height, make sure nothing's too heavy... I want to go to the ocean one more time too, and then I plan to go to the Pacific Ocean in SF.

More sleepy prompts! 21 for Carrie/Reggie?
"So magic's real," Reggie said. He was covered in what was hopefully just debris, and not monster-guts. "And monsters are real."
"Hmmhmm," she agreed, wishing Alex was here. His fanny pack would have some decent wet-wipes, she was sure of it. On the other hand, Reggie was taking this much better than Alex would have. He wasn't even pacing. He was just sitting there, looking shell-shocked. "Most people can't see them, and they don't usually attack normies."
She came back with a wet washcloth from the bathroom. Thankfully, even though Julie didn't like coming here anymore after her mom died, the place was still well-stocked. She grabbed the normie first-aid kit as well as the magical one, assessing herself in the mirror while Reggie wiped his face. Now that he was clean, she could see how pale he looked.
"Drink this," she said, shoving one of the potions at him.
"And you're a..." Reggie faltered, staring at the potion. It was very sparkly. "Wiiiitch?" He said slowly, wincing as if he wasn't sure it was offensive.
"Magical girl, actually," she said. "Rose was a witch, though."
"So I didn't dream up that transformation sequence?" Reggie blurted out. "I just thought I hit my head and my fantasies mixed with reali-" He clamped his mouth shut, looking embarrassed.
Of course her nerdy, normie boyfriend had dumb, cliché anime fantasies, next to the usual 'you can dress up as Princess Leia for Halloween and I'll be Han!'. "The transformation sequence was real," she said. "So were the sparkles." Then, just so Reggie wouldn't get any ideas: "So was the sound of bone crushing when I used my staff to cave in that Shadoweater's head."
Reggie turned from pale to slightly green. Whoops. Sometimes she forgot that normies weren't used to the unspeakable violence that sometimes came with the job. Even Julie kind of made a face whenever Carrie showed up covered in demon-guts. As if she liked trying to get that stuff out of her hair. Saving the world was messy.
"Hey," she said, crouching in front of Reggie and putting her hands over his. With a little spark of magic, they stopped shaking, and she smiled. "It's going to be okay. We're going to figure out why they targeted you, and fix it. But until then, you can't go home."
Neither could she, since she didn't want to leave him. Luckily, her dad never really noticed if she was home or not anyway. "The Molinas have some pretty heavy-duty wards on this place, and they don't mind the occasional overnight stay," she said. "Come on, it's late, let's get you to bed."
In the morning, she'd ask Ray for help, he was always good at the research thing. Even if she and Julie hadn't been doing well lately, he wouldn't turn down helping a civilian in trouble.
She let Reggie take the first shower, rummaging in the loft for something for him to wear. Sure, he looked kind of silly in an oversized purple sweater pronouncing him to be a Nap Queen and a pair of what she assumed were Ray's old swim trunks, but it was better than nothing while she washed (and performed a cleansing spell on) his clothes.
He'd managed to pull out the couch and find the blankets, so by the time she got out of the shower (she thankfully still had a go-bag here with some clothes) he had made a veritable nest. Which was never a good sign. Reggie always made nests and caves when he was feeling anxious of scared. The first time he'd stayed over, she'd found him in the back of her walk-in closet after he'd had a nightmare, because he hadn't wanted to wake her.
"I need to go back out there," she said, regretfully. She hated to leave him, but at least one of the Shadoweaters had gotten away, and they were not very nice when they were frustrated and hungry. She'd texted the other Candis, of course, they were already out patrolling, but she was their leader. She really should...
"Can you stay? Just until I fall asleep?" His voice sounded so small and uncertain. She was pretty sure the shock was wearing off, and she'd have to get Kayla in here to do the whole 'welcome to the wonderful world of magic' spiel. She was much better at it than Carrie. She had a PowerPoint and everything.
"Alright," she said, curling up next to the pile of blankets that was her boyfriend. It tilted, and he collapsed into her side. She rummaged around until she found his head, stroking his hair.
"So you're a magical girl?" he asked. "Like Sailor Moon?"
"Kind of," she said. "With a little Buffy thrown in there." Except Buffy's vampires all poofed into ashes, and she had to pretend to be a rich girl shopaholic just to cover up the fact that she regularly had to trash her clothes because she got blood or demon guts on them.
"How long?"
"Since I was thirteen," she said.
"Were you going to tell me?" he asked. "I mean, I guess I understand why you didn't. I'm not... I just kind of froze. And I'm kind of a blabbermouth. And my D&D stuff must seem really stupid to you and-"
"I was going to tell you," she promised. "I just... wanted to enjoy having something normal in my life for once."
"But you dated Nick," Reggie pointed out. "Nick's like the most normal dude around."
"Nick's a werewolf, sweetie," she said, pressing a kiss to his forehead.
"I think I need to lie down."
"You're already lying down."
"I think I need to lie down more."
She helped Reggie curl up on the bed, his head in her lap. "Listen, you're safe. Nick is harmless. The worst he's ever done is chew on one of my heels."
"I'm not scared of Nick," Reggie said. "But those... shadowdemons?"
"Shadoweaters."
"They scared the hell out of me. You're sure they can't find us here?"
"I'm sure. This place has more protective wards on it than the La Brea Tar Pits." Which probably didn't make any sense to Reggie, considering he was a normie, but he still nodded sagely. Or maybe he was just finally dozing off.
She kept talking, mostly about nonsense. About school, about how homework was a bitch when you had just stayed up all night fighting evil. About the next Dirty Candi performance. About a cute dog she'd seen last week. About how yes, she did have a magical tiara, and she rocked it. Eventually, Reggie's questions and responses turned into little noises of acknowledgement, then small, snuffly snores.
She hated to leave him, but duty called. She pressed a kiss to his temple and gently scooted out from under him, swapping her lap out with a pillow. He mumbled a little, but then snuggled into the pillow. God, she loved him so much.
She was going to make whoever or whatever was after him pay.

( hanako greensmith, 27, cis woman, she/her ) ☼ congratulations, lucy wakaba, you’ve been accepted as a campsite host at discovery canyon in grand hazel national park this summer! we could tell from your application that you are athletic and daring, so we are so pleased to welcome you from buffalo, new york for your first summer on staff. hopefully you can check only checking your phone once daily, mastering survival sundials, and hiking throughout the park off your bucket list. please consult your employee handbook with questions!
backstory!
lucy was born and raised in buffalo suburb. she likes it enough; the people are nice, the buildings are pretty, and the food is good.
(tw for parental alcoholism) her parents are social and fun and fit into the community well. the only issue is that her dad always has a drink in hand. think fun bobby from friends; not cruel or mean or anything like that, but just needs a drink to be functional and comfortable.
(tw for problem drinking) as lucy got older, her life was taking the same shape as her dad’s. drinking at high school parties turned into drinking at college parties turned into irish coffees to settle her nerves before exams.
lucy hasn’t had a drink since college! at first, taking it seriously was hard in an environment that didn’t, so lucy moved out and distanced herself from her friends.
it’s hard to make friends as an adult, though, and even harder when she doesn’t go out for drinks after work, which has given her a reputation for being kinda rude.
which, to be fair, she can be kinda rude! she’s a little blunt, a little standoffish, a little dry. she’s fun enough in social situations to make up for this; she’s pretty okay at playing along with a joke, she’s still got some party tricks up her sleeve, and she’s never one to turn down a dare (in fact, she’s usually the one to bring them up). none of that is appropriate in a work setting, though, so none of it helps.
she has some social interests, mostly outdoor ones, which could help her meet some new people, but that really just seems way too fucking embarrassing to her. everyone has already found their niche, so she can’t let anyone know that she hasn’t found hers, or worse, that she’d already found and lost it.
tldr: lucy loves the outdoors and needed to get the heck out of buffalo! enter the park!
fun facts!
lucy played lacrosse in high school and embarrassingly still has the grind never stops mindset, but this mostly manifests in an inability to sit still for too long
she's decently impulsive but speaks pretty calmly and slowly so she comes off as way more rational than she is
cannot be deterred. if she decides she's going to do something she's simply going to because she won't be able to get it out of her head otherwise
chronically Self Sufficient and Independent and No I Don't Need a Hug (she does. but tbf who doesn't!!)
loves a good snack. will always have a good snack on her. chips, carrots, granola bars; if it's good she's got it (but not all at once she just has like a normal fanny pack unless she's planned to go hiking)
possible connections!
it's lucy's first summer here so she wouldn't have any preexisting connections, but here are some new ones we could develop!!
opposites attract besties! someone to be the addition of 'of fun!' to lucy's 'somebody's gonna die'
hiking besties!
hiking ENEMIES!
stupid impulsive besties!
person who is sooooo bad at being outdoorsy that lucy takes pity on!
anything else <3 mwah!

The Holiday Stocking -
What a beautiful movie. It’s so great to see these kinds of stories of complicated families being told because that’s so relatable. And if it’s not relatable to you, congrats on being so lucky. The rift and the emotions felt so real and how they interacted as sisters was great. I liked the little bits of humor mixed in too with the other angel and her fanny pack. The ending was so emotional and was such a great payoff. It was a fabulous start to what is hopefully a new tradition of Mahogany Christmas movies.
What’d you think of this one?

1. Carlin, no real update, Mayo suggested some other tests and meds, its probably epilepsy (maybe related to the meningitis after Layla)?
2. Also, if it were Ben, would the Duggars have really kept him around the littles as a tutor? My vote is Derrick.
3, Also does TiffBoni use filters? Isn't that kind of like internet makeup.....
4. Did Nat and Esther actually go out to eat for their anniversary days after having a baby..... hopefully they went before the baby....
5. Also, I hope Tiffany B is actually pregnant and bad at hiding it.... if she isn't and struggles to conceive or something, she will be berated non-stop more than all of them already are with how much she talks about it.
6. I just started grad school so haven't been on fundie tumblr in a bit so sorry for all the questions at once. Thanks for being my study break!
(submission)
------------------------------------
That's the vibe I've gotten from the reblogs and reddit. It sounds like Mayo doesn't have any concrete answers yet either and that it'll just be more of the same for awhile. She also had COVID which some people are speculating could've affected her but I have no idea if that's a possibility or not, it seems unlikely to me tbh just with the nature of COVID symptoms (but not impossible). -
We've got a real team Edward or Jacob situation on our hands here 😂 regardless of what the Duggars want people to believe I think it's *extremely* possible that they had no idea what most of their older kids were up to during this time. The older girls hung out with/helped the married girls at their houses all the time (I think at this point it was basically just Jill, Jessa, and I'm sure Anna was in that rotation too). So it's possible Jinger spent tons of unsupervised hours with Jessa and Ben pre-Jerm. I also don't get the vibe that Ben (or Derrick) like, sat Jinger down and went through a bulleted list of everything she believed that was wrong. I really think it was probably more of an osmosis thing, like she was just around someone who thought differently so much that it really rubbed off on her. -
It definitely seems to me like she does?? She's also hella image conscious in basically every other area and I really just don't understand that side of apostolic culture.........there are other ways to 'adorn' yourself other than makeup or jewelry like, extremely gawdy outfits, hair, and fanny packs, for example. How do they account for that in their ideology I wonder? -
They didn't say (or if they did I didn't see) so I can only guess that they posted that in real-time. All of the comments from moms I saw on reddit were like HOW is she doing this rn?? lol so maybe they did squeeze it in earlier and Esther just didn't say, that feels like something she would do (also this is adjacently related but my brain keeps wanting to refer to Esther by her baby's name Kenna??? I legit was just struggling to remember her actual name just now I think it's because she really seems like a Kenna). -
Yea hard same. Whether they're just doing it for clicks or they're actually trying and she just can't help but talk about it, there totally will be backlash in this corner of the internet if she keeps mentioning it and never announces a pregnancy. So for her sake I hope she actually is, bc people will not be very nice which would be super hard to take if you're struggling to conceive. -
No apologies necessary, the only thing on tumblr I like more than talking fundies are organized, numbered lists lol so you're all good. Good luck in grad school!!

A Psychopomp's Guide to Surviving the Afterlife
Chapter 1: Trouble in Paradise
"Hello group C-38," said a strange humanoid figure dressed in a flowing angelic robe and matching bright green sports visor and fanny pack. "My name is Stelcat, and I will be your psychopomp for today"
Twenty three miscellaneous people looked around at each other, at the white void they found themselves in, then to the flickering, shadowy figure that had addressed them. "Okay everybody, before we start on the tour, let's go over some FAQs.
"Am I dead? Yes.
"Where am I? You are now in the realm of the beyond, the vale of the hereafter, et cetera et cetera.
"Why can't I remember my loved ones/key life events/name? You will need some time to adjust to not having a body and existing purely as sense-experience. While this happens, you might have difficulty discerning between dreams and memories and fantasies."
Some starting crying. Some got loud, started shouting. A few just stood dumbfounded.
"Ugh, this always happens," Stelcat muttered to themself. "Hey, hey, don't freak out! Sure, your time on Earth has come to its irreversible end and you've been torn away from your friends and family and any plans or projects you were working on will forever go unfinished, but you have an eternity of afterlife to look forward to!"
This didn't do much to reassure the crowd.
"Come on, everyone, we've got places to be. Now, who's excited to have their life choices judged? Can I hear an 'I'm ready!' from you all?"
The people who were freaking out seemed to calm down, more in spite of the psychopomp than because of them. Perhaps the sheer bizzareness of the situation setting in distracted the recently departed from their grief.
"If you'd all just follow behind me, hopefully none of you get lost. If you look up ahead, you should be able to see the door to the throne room of the afterlife."
As C-38 approached, they saw another group by the great door.
"Hey Stel!"
"Hi Ten. Ok 38-ers, this is Tencat who's guiding group C-35. They're going to go in first and each of them will be judged to see how well they've done in their life."
Tencat pushed the door open and let their group through. After the last soul had entered, they followed in after. The door let out a loud thud as it shut behind the group.
"Well, while we're waiting, how about you get to know each other a bit? It might be a bit hard given that most of your memories will be gone. If it helps, each of you all lived in the same area of the city and all died at around the same time. Who knows, you might have seen each other in the streets without realising that you'd end up here together!"
Cassie Chalmers looked around at the unfortunate people she was surrounded by. Her eyes studied each face; her mind strained to match them to anything. Any recognition would satisfy her: a barista who took her coffee order, a bus driver who'd take her to college, a particularly notable passerby, but none of the people before her rang any bells. She came to a young man that she knows but can't place from where. He looks a couple years younger than her, maybe 18 or 19. Maybe she'd seen him around campus.
While she was lost in thought, the door was pulled ajar again and Tencat poked their head out. "Hey Stel, kinda urgent, come look at this."
"Uh.. ok guys, just wait here while I help Tencat out, I won't be too long"
With that, Stelcat too disappeared into the throne room, leaving Cassie and the rest outside. She considered approaching the familiar face, but something about the situation made it feel inappropriate to make conversation.
She felt relieved when the two returned.
Stelcat looked sheepish. Tencat looked on edge.
Stel stepped forward and addressed the unsettled crowd. "Uh, the throne is empty."
Ten had a grin that was somewhere between nervousness and sadistic pleasure. "If you hurry now, you might be able to sneak into heaven while nobody's looking."

Becky vs. the Magic Stench: A Floral Fairytale Gone Funky
Alright, folks, gather 'round for a tale of misfortune, flowers, and a very questionable odor. This is the story of Becky, the sweetest, poorest girl this side of the Mississippi (and probably the other side too). Becky was stuck in a situation that would make even a cactus wilt: no job, no parents, and two younger sisters depending on her.
School? Fugeddaboutit. Becky was pounding the pavement faster than a lost flip flop, application after application getting denied like free samples at a health food store. Just when despair threatened to turn her hair into tumbleweeds, she stumbled upon an old lady selling flowers. This wasn't your average flower granny, though. No floral fanny packs here. This lady had a twinkle in her eye and a secret stash of stories that could rival your grandma's recipe box.
Fast forward a few sniffles and shared sunflower seeds, and Becky and the flower lady (let's call her Ms. Petal, because that's just delightful) are practically BFFs. Sadly, Ms. Petal gets a case of the sniffles that even a bouquet of lilies couldn't cure. So, Becky steps up, takes the flower cart by the handle, and starts slinging posies like a petal-powered pro.
One gloomy Tuesday, a mysterious woman with a mischievous glint offers Becky a deal that sounds ripped from a B-movie script. Wear this totally not suspicious shirt for 41 days straight, nonstop, and WHAM! Instant riches! Becky, desperate as a fly trapped in honey, throws caution (and hygiene) to the wind and dons the shirt.
Now, let me tell you, 41 days without a wash is enough to make a skunk faint. Becky smelled like a forgotten gym sock marinated in week-old fish. But hey, gotta suffer for riches, right?
Finally, the 41st day dawns, and Becky, with the gag reflex of a champion, peels off the shirt. Brace yourselves, folks, because this is where things get weird. Her house transforms into a mansion straight out of a fever dream, and Becky along with her sisters – poof! – turn into princesses! Talk about an olfactory glow-up!
News of the stench-to-staunchest transformation spreads faster than gossip at a hair salon. Before Becky can say "deodorant commercial," she's invited to the fanciest shindig in town, thrown by the richest dude around.
And that, my friends, is how Becky, the once-broke flower girl, found herself surrounded by caviar and canapés, all thanks to a questionable shirt and a whole lot of determination (and maybe a hefty dose of Febreze). So next time you're feeling down on your luck, remember Becky. Remember the stench. Remember that even the smelliest situations can blossom into something beautiful. Just maybe take a shower first.
Positive spin with a relatable anecdote:
This lighthearted story of Becky reminded me of the importance of perseverance! Sometimes the path to success can be a little unorthodox (and smelly!), but if we keep pushing forward, we can achieve great things. Who has a story of overcoming a challenge in an unexpected way?
Becky's story reminds me that sometimes the most valuable skills we learn aren't in a textbook. Her determination and ability to build relationships (with the flower lady and the mysterious woman) were key to her success. What unexpected skills have helped you in your career?
Becky's journey is a hilarious reminder that success can be smelly. But hey, if it gets you a mansion and a title, maybe a little BO is worth it? What are you willing to do to achieve your goals? (Besides wearing a magical shirt for 41 days, hopefully!)

Today was beautiful and I tried my best to enjoy it. Because I was so incredibly bored at work. It was actually painful. But I did my best to fill the day.
It started late though. I slept terribly. I woke up a ton. My belly hurt. So I let myself sleep in late. It's not like it mattered. There was nothing happening today.
When I got up for real I felt slightly better. My stomach still hurts but I wasn't as upset about it. I got dressed and really liked my outfit. My hair was dirty but it was fine. I tried to braid it but even that wasn't working for me. I just let it be down and lived with it.
James had left for work long before I did. I would get myself and my stuff together, gave Sweetp a kiss, and headed to camp.
When I got there I wasn't sure if Sarah was in the office because the lights were off. But she was there. Just enjoying the natural light. And honestly. I loved that. So we never turned on the lights today.
Sarah said once she was done her breakfast she was going to walk to the lodge to set up for tomorrows feild trip. And I would go with her. We actually would get it all done, the tables, chairs, and sweeping, really quickly. We do a good job splitting the tasks.
It really hurt my wrists moving the chairs. I would just push them around as groups of 4-7 chairs to avoid picking them up. Honestly my hands and wrists have been really bothering me but I am getting my injection on Monday. So I should be good hopefully next week.
I wasnt feeling great. So after we finished the set up I suggested we just sit on the rocking chairs outside. And we did just that. And it was really nice.
Listening to the morning doves and enjoying the breeze. It was warming up fast and it was just really nice being outside.
We would be out there for a half hour before we headed back to the office. Sarah would leave a little before me. And I would slowly make my way back but still beat her. When I got back I made some signs for the next open house. And while that didn't take long it was fine. I would finish my worksheet for tomorrow's workshop I'm doing with creative alliance. And find some emails to answer. It was a slow morning.
I wasnt really interested in eating lunch. I would snack a little bit I just wasn't feeling it. My stomach pain would lessen but I just didn't feel great.
I decided to go for a walk and go see how the tadpoles were doing. I stopped at the car and grabbed my fanny pack hammock. It's not like I was in a rush or busy.
I walked down to the Glen and found two very excellent hammock trees. Set up my stuff and laid there for a long while. I threw my fleece over it so the sun wouldn't be in my face. It was really warm and beautiful. I would just hang out and enjoy the beautiful day and tried not to feel so anxious about how bored I have been at work.
I am really glad we are getting back into field trips because I am feeling like I have in the past when I want to leave jobs and do something else and I don't really actually want to leave camp, I just want to have direction. Next week we have a field trip I think but I also hope to do organizing in the art building and just get more tasks from Heather and Alexi and stop feeling so overwhelmingly bored.
Eventually I would check out the pond. And the tadpoles are growing! They all seem to be lines and rectangles now. Not moving in there but still fun to see the changes. I did see a few large tadpoles too and that was really cool. I did some more searching around in nature. But eventually I packed my hammock back up and went to the office.
I took a different way and saw some cars going to the barn. Sarah and Chloe were also up there too. I was alone in the office for a bit. I had a phone call with Parker about tomorrow and we decided to cancel my workshop on Saturday which is fine, there wasn't any sign ups. But that's okay. I didnt actually want to run it. Ah well. The two I have tomorrow have 20 signed up so its all good. And now I will get to hang out with Callie and have brunch which I wanted to do more anyway.
Parker also wanted to have a conversation with me about teaching a monthly "adult home ecc" class. I am very excited about this idea. And so I would spend some time researching different things I could reasonably do. And I think I have some good ideas.
I would walk towards the lodge again. Chatted with Joe at the nature lodge. Was disappointed that I could have done some painting with him!! I had been so bored. I hope he lets me know next time.
While I was over there I saw Sasha and Chloe over at homestead so I went to chat with them and ended up helping them problem solve a new little enclosure for the chickens. We would use a kiddie pool and some chicken wire with some zipties and made something I think will work out good. We all were helping. But Chloe did the majority of the labor. It was still fun. And we cuddled the chickens for a little bit.
While Chloe was assembling I went to check on the reptiles. I sprayed Sadie the snakes tank because Ceila said it should be more humid. And then I pet Nelly the terrapin and she was very peely and seemed happy to be scritched. She's so cute. I love turtles.
I really want to get a tortoise. That is my next big goal, setting up a tortoise enclosure. Once we have a fence and we are working on the backyard that is something I really want to do. I want just the best enclosure for a tortoise. Someday.
I was enjoying hanging out with Chloe and Sarah but I was also very very bored and a bit to hot. I made it almost to the end of the day. But it was time for me to bounce. I said goodbye to them and went to the office to collect my stuff and headed out.
I drove to the pet store to look for a new fish. And I really like the fish I got. He's really cute. Not a regular betta but one with shower fins. A king half moon. He's much larger then Ari was. And he has a little mustache!! I named him Gomez.
I would also get some more (certified snail free) plants. And was very excited to get my new fishie home.
There was some annoying traffic but it was fine. I was more concerned about the water in Gomez's cup was splashing around. But I found a spot to put him that seemed more secure. And got home around 430.
I washed the plants first and got everything set up in the tank before I introduced Gomez to the water. And once I did I realized that the water was moving to fast for him so I used a ziptie to attach the fake log to the filter so it can slow the water flow and rhag seemed to help. And hopefully the plants grow well and my new fishie can be happy and comfy.
I would walk to CVS after that. First time walked over there since we have moved in. When I got outside I got to meet another neighbor! She was very nice. And I had a nice walk. Even if someone dropped a cigarette from an apartment and almost hit me with it! But I don't think it was on purpose. Still waiting annoying.
The CVS was mostly behind plastic which I hate but whatever. I found what I came for. Paid. And went home.
James came home pretty soon after I did. I was really happy to see them.
We would mostly just chill. James would go record something for their podcast but then would jump into cooking.
I would spend that time going some shells to a moveable type box I have. I saw someone with this on Pinterest and I was like. I can do that. And I don't know where I'm going to hang it yet but I love how it looks. It was a fun little project.
When James came back downstairs they made some fried tofu and it came out good but a little to spicy. I would spend the evening on the couch. I was tired. And just wanted to be cozy. And that is what I did.
We would watch videos together and just hang out. My dad called and told me about his and his new friends chanting for coffee which is so silly. He really becomes the mayor of every room he ends up in. Love him very much.
Eventually I took a bath and washed my hair. We hung out together while I took a bath and James kept filling kettles so the water wouldn't be as cold. I appreciate them so much.
Now I am very much ready for sleep. Tomorrow I am doing my diorama workshops with kids and I'm nervous but also really excited. I really hope they enjoy it.
I hope you all sleep well tonight. Take care of yourself and eachother! Goodnight!

Yes! Sorry I haven't been posting, streaming takes alot of time!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This'll hopefully be the last time I change her design.
She has pink buns instead of white long hair.
A hoodie she keeps on her waist (Might make a design for it later) instead of duffle bag or fanny pack
Her eyes are infact white/light pink (It's yellow in the picture because that sans face doesn't exist in roblox, and Idk how to draw skeletons, or make items)
ALSO She has a canon human design!
